the thing with puppy jihyo is that nayeon is all of the good that she knows. like, she has been abandoned before so putting on trust and liking someone can be hard. she likes sana because sana pets and spoils her, she likes momo because momo is always bonding with her through cooking for her, playing with her and all that. mina is pretty straightforward, a hybrid friend. now, yoo jeongyeon? yoo jeongyeon has been annoying since day 1, and then jihyo got jealous of her with nayeon.

so trusting jeongyeon was a bit hard, getting to like her as well. but now jihyo just holds herself back really because she already likes jeongyeon a LOT and just hasn't realized it yet (perhaps she has and now she's just ignoring it like the stubborn puppy she can be)... i mean she loves jeongyeon's cuddles, her food, giving her kisses on the cheek and specifically being spoiled by her. jihyo LOVES the amount of praise she gets with jeongyeon.

and at some point though jihyo stops comparing her with nayeon bc we know nayeon is jihyo's definition of love and good but jeongyeon is perfect on her own.. jeongyeon is not like sana or momo or mina and certainly not like nayeon, and jihyo still finds herself seeking for jeongyeon's attention and the love she offers while nayeon isn't there to give it to her (properly)... and then, even after nayeon comes back jihyo will keep seeking for it because her heart is happy when she's next to jeongyeon 🥺

and sometimes when nayeon gets jealous of jihyo's sudden closeness with jeong, jeongyeon will just make her cuddle her too and quit sulking. she has two arms for a reason!!! one for jihyo and the other for nayeon!

anyways, great things are ahead of them and i can't wait to see the three together 🥺 when i open requests they'll most likely be established so i'm interested to see what you guys will want to see from them!

as ive gone over in prev post, the overarching message of this game was abt the importance of trust between the defense and prosecution, and how both parties need to cooperate and trust one another to create fair and just trials. w this in mind, franziska's role in the story was to illustrate the absence of this trust. neither wright nor franziska trusted one another throughout their shared cases, and bc of this, the truth was jeopardized each time, nearly resulting in an unlawful verdicts. of course, this isnt unique to franziska, all the prosecutors we've face in the past had mistrusted us as well. but what sets her apart from the other prosecutors, and what makes her sooo interesting to me, is that while shes similar to her predecessors, she isnt all the way there.

like what immediately sets her apart, besides the aesthetics and traits of being an 18 year old girl, is that unlike her predecessors, she actually acknowledges us. from the moment we first meet her, she recognizes our feats (destroying the perfect records of two esteemed prosecutors), and vows to take us down. this is so different from edgeworth, who looked down on us for majority of aa1 before dipping, and von karma, who took it to the extreme and didnt even recognize wright or maya's faces. unlike these two, franziska actually acknowledged who we are and what we've done. and this is significant bc to trust the opposing party (defense or prosecution), you must first recognize their capabilities. by swearing to take revenge on wright, by acknowledging what we hv done, franziska is already a step removed away from her predecessors.

and this next point is more of a vibe based observation (bc im not at the point yet where im gonna sift thru each dialogue and case), but the vibe i got from franziska was that she wasnt as ruthless of a prosecutor compared to the others. and what i mean by 'ruthless', is she didnt resort to cheap tricks as often. tricks like edgeworth's updated autopsy report, or von karma's careful control of his witnesses, the court battles with her were rather lacking in these. yes she raided acro's room and later told andrews to keep quiet, but both of these instances were her being influenced by edgeworth and her father respectively. while this may make her seem like a 'weaker' prosecutor, it actually just makes her a more honest prosecutor, a more just and fair one. also (and im aware this was done for gameplay's sake, but to me this would be an instance of story and gameplay working hand in hand), unlike edgeworth and von karma, no trial with franziska have ever gone over to the third day.

so already, despite being von karma's and edgeworth's sucessor, she is very different from them with the way tht she actually acknowledges the capabilities of her defense, and the way she goes about with her methods. and then case 4 happens... at first i was pretty annoyed tht she kinda got shoved aside so we could get some yaoi.. so i was so surprised and pleased that her character got to conclude wonderfully despite not being the prosecutor! her saving the day by coming in with the decisive evidence is like one of the best if not The best part of that entire case, just such an amazing timing and setup and everything.. and how it says so much about her to do that, like did she know who this evidence was for? that this is for the defense rather than the prosecution, or did she think it was for the prosecution? or does she believe in justice after all and just wanted to unveil the truth? what an infinitely amazing and complex character..!!!

and to see her frustration after the trial, her disbelief when edgeworth explains how he came to be able to trust wright, her throwing her whip down the same way edgeworth thought to resign in the last case of aa1.. and then the post-credits scene.... T_T i wasnt expecting that at all. i love that scene so so much.. for her to put herself down for not measuring up to her father and edgeworth.. but as ive gone over, the way von karma was and the way tht edgeworth used to be, was not admirable at all. by being distinct from them, shes already halfway out of their shadows and on her way to being a better prosecutor than the both of them. and its so interesting how similar she is to edgeworth, how she leaves too, the same way edgeworth had up and left in the end of aa1. and for edgeworth to give her whip back and for them both to grow out of von karma's shadow forever GRAHHHHH Its so good. i wasnt expecting to like her this much

Just to be clear that second anon is diff than me. I focus on the message of the book that was imo completely fcked by DnD. Frankly if I was M. I'd worry abt it being the last flavor the readers get from my book! Alas, his new post didn't make me any more optimistic that he'll finish ADoS. I didn’t think my grouchy anon was you, don’t worry!

Each time I post I know that someone will get mad, and it usually isn’t even someone who follows me. It’s usually just a rando who somehow saw it and then wants to be angry that I didn’t consult them before forming my own opinion. 😂

His post didn’t make me think we’d get ADOS either, but for some reason, I really did feel my hope restored for TWOW! The previous update in which he talked about all his other projects and his interview in which he said he didn’t understand why GoT fans were upset made me think maybe he was too discouraged and annoyed with the fandom to feel creative, but this update...idk, I felt good after reading it. It read like he was in a better place to me.

He’s still doing shows with HBO, so we’ll likely never get a chance to hear his unfettered opinion of how they mangled what he gave them, but what they did has to hurt him a lot more than it hurts us. I think the “yes and no” answer he reverts to when asked if the ending is the same reflects that D&D didn’t say what he was trying to say, even though some of the plot points and endings are the same. So yes, the message issue has to pain him, deeply.

After the other anon got mad at me I went back to live journal to find what he’s said about show v book earlier (I mean, I’ve listened to interviews but I don’t save those links), and I found a post from 2016 (prior to s6 when he realized he wouldn’t be publishing TWOW before it premeired) and it sounds remarkably similar to his 2019 post and now his 2022 post. I really think Dany stans are setting themselves up for disappointment:

Like to think that alongside Volt, Mylene and Lync were also recruited by Hydron

None of them officially joined until they were a bit older but probably trained to eventually join the Vexos; in the mean time they probably worked for Hydron or something like that

Volt recruited at 11; Lync a year later and Mylene following not long after (respectively 13, 8, 12 when they’re all gathered)

My reasoning to why Volt is patient with Lync’s antics and Mylene less so but doesn’t lash out as badly as you think she would around annoying little kids; grew up tgt moment

Spectra probably forced his way into the Vexos like “hiiii i see you dont have any Vexos members <3″ bcs obv he wasn’t using royal scientist dad privelages (i think, bcs Clay seems horrified abt Spectra being a Vexos and well, being Spectra) 

Shadow had an advantage of being a nobleman (in terms of him being accepted into the Vexos’ ranks)

the Vexos and their set of rules magent-ed on the fridge door or something and every time they go over a page they have to staple/tape a new page on

While I like the idea of her being from a military family, I want to make her like Ling Wen (TGCF) in the sense she started from the bottom and climbed to the top... it fits her ambitious nature of grasping for more, she hasn’t reached what she considers the top just yet...

Animal Crossing Guide

I’ve seen a lot of posts in the animal crossing fandom asking similar questions so I thought I would make a guide to clear the air and help everyone. I will update and add information as I experiment with the game, and new information comes to light. 

To start off with you should download this app if you can because it can help you keep track of bugs, and fish you can catch during the month as well as the various times. It also keeps track of your fossils for you, once you put them in of course, and shows you how close you are to completion. 

Now! On to the Q and A!

Tips:

Your island spawns 6 rocks that you can hit for clay, and stone; if you use the flimsy axe, and iron if you use the stone axe, ax, and shovel. 1 rock will be the money rock and give you 100 to up to 8000 bells. If hit 8 times your bells are as followed: 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000 for a grand total of 16,100 bells 

Your island randomly spawns 4 fossils that you have to dig up to give to Blathers for the fossil section of your museum 

There will always be a message in a bottle when you start a new day so be sure to check your beach.

There is always one glowing section on your island per day, it’s for your money tree. You dig up 1000 bells and if planted get 3000 bells. once picked of the bells the tree will not grow more, so don’t worry abt checking them everyday.

Shake your non-fruit trees with your net in hand, you can get resources from them like tree branches, but also items fall from them, as well as bells, and with your net in hand if you shake a wasp down you have better odds of catching it then getting stung.

Your villagers make 3 diys every day. The villagers who makes them will be different everyday, so be sure to check in with everyone who is home. The times also verify, but its usually one until noon, one from noon to five/six, and one from five/six to nine/ten. Your villager will craft it for awhile so be sure to share with your friends!

If you talk to Sable enough times she will start to give you custom fabric for your furniture for when you customize it. Be sure to talk to her every day after to get one to continue getting it, miss a day and you will have to start over.

Visit Resident services every day and log on to the terminal to get a streak going for nook miles, seven days in a row is 300

How do I get posters of animals to hang on my wall?

You first have to have Harvey (or Harv) visit your island and talk about the photo studio he has. Once he’s talked to you, you have to visit his island and enter a room where you start to decorate it. The last tab is residents, add them to the room and then when you leave the island and exit the airport Harv will call you and tell you about the posters you can buy which will be in nook shopping under special goods.

Can I sell to Flick or CJ on other islands?

Unfortunately you can not. You can talk with them and they will talk about bugs and fish, but it wont give you the option to sell anything to them. 

How does one get ants?

The only way I have found to get ants is from a rotten turnip on the grass. I originally had it on the stone path and I only got a flies. The other problem is you can’t put one turnip out, you will lose 10 turnips if you want an ant.

What if there is someone at my campsite that I want and my island is all full?

This happened to me and I will let you know that it’’s very stressful doing it without knowing anything. The good news is they tell you who they are going to evict and you can still say no. Before you do anything SAVE THE GAME, this is important because you can always turn off the system if you don’t like who they chose to move out.

 First you have to play a card game, basically pick a suit, with them and if you lose the camper will decide if they want to stay or not, mine said no. You can play again and they make the game easier, basically pick a color, when you win they will go ask Tom Nook if there is room, and then come back and say they are full do you still want to proceed in which case I said yes. Then they will talk about a rumor they heard of a certain villager wanting to move out. Now that is the random part. Once they give you the name there are two things you can do, you can say no and it stops the process or you can turn your game off and do it all over again until you get the name of a villager you want to leave. Thankfully i didn’t have to do this because they chose one I didn’t want any way so that worked out for me.

Why is there a random villager on my island that I did not invite?

The most annoying thing that happened to me. Two villagers set up shop on my island and I did not ask them to live here. Here is why.

Apparently when you get to the point where you are recruiting the last set of villagers for your island you are asked to buy plots from Tom Nook for 10,000 bells. I bought and placed all of mine within two days of each other but didn’t start filling them hoping that more villagers would come to my island via the campsite and I would ask them to move in. That was a mistake, cause apparently at the end of each day if you don’t have anyone in that house they will randomly assign someone there, and it will probably be someone you don’t want, which is what happened in my case. Be aware of your land and plan for a day of nookmile hunting for villagers or build plots as you need them.

How do I get different color flowers?

Each flower has 3 starter colors; red, yellow, white. From there you will have to make hybrids for the other colors. I’ve seen guides that give you various ways to get them, I’ve even done them and the standard checkerboard and they do work, but they work best when you have fellow animal crossing people help you by watering them. You have a better chance of getting the hybrids when you’re friends come over and water them. Below is the guide I use when I’m trying for hybrids and when my friends water them I get more of these hybrids. Mums is the only flower where you can get green and roses are the only ones who can give you gold. ( I have yet to figure out the gold, last I heard is you need the golden watering can, but I don’t know how accurate that is)

How do I display my designs at the Able sisters shop?

You can display 8 custom outfits you have made at the Able’s shop.

If you head to the back of the store where the sisters have two rows of outfits hanging from the wall that is where your work is displayed. Just stand in front of one of the four rows and click A, Mabel will ask you which row you are looking at, top or bottom, you select which row you are trying to change and she will tell you whats displayed there and what you want to do with it. Mabel gives you four options.

I want the design: If it’s not your design and you would like to save it to wear this is what you would click. You will have to delete a custom design to save the design there. Now you can wear this item whenever.

Display my work here: This is where you will display various outfits you have made with the pro designer.  Once you display an outfit your villagers will randomly wear them. It’s very cute.

Report: If there is a design thats offensive you can report it

If you are moving forward in time the turnips will not spoil, it would be as if a new day had happened generically anyway, so no worries there. The two things you shouldn’t do if you have turnips is go backward in time or go farther than Saturday because once it’s Sunday it’s Daisy Mae Day and your turnips are spoiled.

hello my dude! i have wanted to talk abt my ocs for so long but im in morocco and have literally no internet for half the time lolol. Anyhow, hereby follows my massive amount of posts about my story and characters!!! sit back and relx bc this is going to be one hell of a ride....

Ok. I guess I should talk a lil about my universe before going into detail about the characters? So this story takes place in a city called Erlyn. I have a whole history and stuff but I'll just describe it quickly, it's a city with multiple rings, the city centre is where the government is and stuff and the Important People and yknow important stuff. Second ring is where most of the shops and schools and universities are and also the biggest ring with the most people in it.

third ring is split into two parts: north and south. North is where lots of the artisanal stuff happens, agriculture and all that jazz, but south is kind of the ring where the poor live, because it's the cheapest bur also the less safe and hygienic and stuff. I don't really know how to explain it? Because they're not beggars or anything, the families that live there are just poor and don't have a lot of possibilities of work since they live on the other side of Erlyn River.

Erlyn river runs through Erlyn city and separated the North form the south, but only the third ring is actually split. and there aren't a lot of bridges either so LONG STORY SHORT it kinda sucks to live in Third South. Okay now on to the people yee!! so the scientists discovered jow to inject this chemical substance into embryo's between the 6th and 7th week of pregnancy that would cause a genetic mutation and give them "superpowers" right.

So the Scientists did that to 10 000 people on the entire earth, then shut it down because the substance was killing to many embryones. But it kinda already worked since the 10 000 people with superpowers had kids, and those kids also had a chance of inheriting those powers!! so yes science was happy. I hope you're still following me because this is where the real fun and story begins

OKAY ON TO THE CHARACTERSSSSS YEE okay so my main character's name is Arden Cowell. She's a tall girl with caramel skin, dark hair and hazel eyes. Her favourite colour is yellow, and she plays volleyball. She is very smart: she graduated one year early and wants to study medicine, but she needs money for that so she works 2 jobs to save money. She has a power, that she'll only discover later in the book: it's the power of shutting down other super's powers. (still following?)

Next are Jason and Nora Cowell, Arden's brother and sister. They're twins and save the city as twins: they're publicly known as Artemis and Apollo. Jason is very controlling but protective of his family; he won't let Arden do anything remotely dangerous for fear that she'll get hurt and always has to know where Arden and Nora are. Jason's powers are super strength and sharpshooting (hence Apollo, geddit). He's deathly afraid of anything venomous or poisonous though, because he can't fight poison

Nora is a little more chill. She loves nature and music with a passion. She really cares for her sister, but is kind of scared of Jason because he can get really scary when he wants to. The fact that everything has to go by his ways annoys her. Nora's powers are sharpshooting and energy blasts. She works as a news photographer when she isn't working, even though she sometimes has to bribe Arden into taking some pics for her when she's busy saving the city. Jason works as a reporter.

Next we got our antagonist, Calvin Price. He's the leader of a group of people who want to ban all supers from Erlyn city, because they damage the freedom of the city. He's very very smart and calculating, but not manipulating. I'd say lawful evil, tbh. He doesn't like to kill, but will if he has to to reach his goal. His followers also are not brainwashed or anything, they genuinely believe in his ideas. Very protective of his people. loves plants.

Last but not least, the actual bitch of the story, Rachel Sixton. She's basically Calvin's right hand and is with him at all times. She hates all and every super with a fiery passion and wants every last one of them dead because she (and a lot of others) think it's unnatural. She wants the world back to its natural order: chaos. Is very pretty and she knows it and will often use it to her advantage (spoiler alert; she seduces Arden). Is frankly a little insane but i kinda love her

i also just have to say that i love the parallels between Calvin and Rachel - the fact that you described Calvin as somebody who isn’t very manipulating, and yet he’s befriended this woman who uses her looks specifically to manipulate people just intrigues me. i can’t wait to learn more about their friendship {and i also am very interested to know how Rachel seduces Arden that seems like a wild ass ride tbh}

Ah, I see you're a person of culture cause well-written enemies or rivals (I agree there's a difference!) to lovers is a superior AU. I actually don't like friends to lovers, I don't hate it and when the story is great I might read it, I definitely read some good ones, but it's not my fave trope - most of my friends agree, sometimes those stories are a bit boring or too angsty for my liking. I'm also not a fan of babies being involved, pregnancy is a turn off too. I'm always wary of arranged marriage, because some works are extremely unrealistic when it comes to that trope, and a lot of the themes within just make me uncomfortable. Some general things I dislike apart from many sex-related stuff are: too much drama, ditching interesting topics or never addressing important events, when the characters are poorly written and just awful, but we're supposed to be rooting for them, the dialogues are either stupid or boring. I also agree descriptions are a must! Some might be too long and sometimes writers are trying too hard with the flowery language (kinda relatable), but I want to have a clear picture of the surroundings. I also dislike when every character needs to have a partner, for example with Ateez, if all members are in the fic all of them are with someone (sometimes with each other), it's just... not necessary to be honest. Also, when I signed up for a particular pairing but at times the focus is on other ships, even if I don't mind them, I'm not that interested in their story. I'm currently reading one fic, I love it, but the last two updates weren't about the main couple and I feel bad for skipping the chapters. 😅

For the things I like except for enemies to lovers: I said friends to lovers is a hit or miss, but I do like friends with benefits to lovers! Former friends who reunited after years to lovers is great too! I'm a fan of historical, fantasy, supernatural AUs so so much. Royal AUs, time travelling, time loop, witches, vampires, etc etc. I don't mind plot heavy fics if the story is really engaging. I like uni/college AUs even though I've been out of university for years. For m/f fiction I like bad girl x good guy ones, we usually get the opposite and many are fucking awful, the guys are absolutely terrible and deserve the worst and the girls are stupid and naive. Cannot stand it! But a sweet nerd paired with a badass girl? Yeah, sign me the fuck up. One exception is when the girl is actually confident and witty, and the bad boy isn't actually an asshole, just annoying and sly. Yes, definitely love when the couple is a bit odd and seemingly doesn't match, but they actually get along well.

hMMM ARRANGE MARRIAGE AU’S i have a mix reaction to them, (currently prepping one 😭😭) like i prefer if that arrange marriage is somewhat realistic in a sense? not like completely off the charts ridiculous level of love and sorts, i like it when it’s like two completely opposite ppl (either personalities or profession) and see them manage their way and try to work it out fbwmfbem what makes me weirded out in these au’s is that there’s ALWAYS an ex who’s very violent and the guy is supposed to beat the ex up 😭😭😭😭

and so what he did in s2 i think he just couldnt realize that he was loved back which is why it’s good he WAS ALONE for 5 yrs imo. but he gave shu yi 0 choice and for that i am pretty sure i would be even angrier. i do think though that the father’s role is pretty important but i can see how the show is like....letting that go? bc as fucking weird as GSD is, he was still like...20? i guess and shu yi’s dad is like. crazy? i am also like he really had to fucking start a company to get noticed like are u joking? is it also that easy? and also why? lmao i just. ugh. i think that probs bothered me the most...priorities.

i like the show! well idk if i love it but sure. i think it’s decent lmao. i understand what you’re saying. for here it bothers me less but i certainly don’t think it was OOC. immature and stupid but like...that’s.....what they are. i also don’t have a problm with the timing from a technical point.

however, when i started the show? i had NO clue what concept of time it was. and that was very annoying. tehy redeemed it bc of the comedy aspects (the first time shu yi sees shi de is so fucking good, i really loved the shot and editing; it’s hilarious and silly) and i started to go with the flow of the show through that. but the fucking concept of time in the show in general esp with repetitive outfits (i understand that they are more likely to wear multiple outfits as well, it’s just that you have to split it up or it i sconfusing visually and looks like the same scene twice or just a full day of shooting which it could be but then something should change in the clothes. this is just an ex~~*~*) and partof that is they have this already controlled narrative i guess. 

i have to admit as well...i skipped episode 1. and most of 2. i was like i rly dont want to see someone slap a pereson even if they were like. not together. it’s just not cute also not in front of ppl. and then when they were yelling and bla bla i was like listen ladies lets calm down. too much angst in a boring way. what they have now is good. also they should probably like estrange the father but i doubt they will.

 i really liked tingting from my engineer a lot (idk if u have seen) she’s so fun and unapologetic. i love how much she drinks and if someone tells her to be ladylike she says no. and i appreciate that in the show when girls were rude to her she said nothing about the girls but said “NO IM NOT LUCKY TO HAVE ALL MALE FRIENDS?” i really want to see her more in the next season. obviously tiffy is goat. super excited to see how their rship develops.
