"Obviously there's a lot of things to unpack here but I'll mostly say "You demanded the administration work on a ceasefire and now they are." is not quite true. The Biden administration has spoken in favour of a ceasefire...they also vetoed other ceasefire proposals tabled by other countries. "
No doubt they vetoed just ceasefires that they should have been in support of. It's not the absolute victory I would have, but at this point I am taking what I can get. That they were even swayed by the ongoing protests is not nothing, and I am not for a moment saying to back off of the pressure until there is a full ceasefire. I am saying we need to take victories where we can get them.
"Sanctions work."
They do, but to whit I understand we have some serious binding legal agreements that would prevent the kind of kneecapping to their economy and warmaking ability that we can do with Russia. As I understand it, it is very apples and oranges. They're fruit, but definitely different.
"Sure, now that leaves the Democrats able to position themselves as "humanitarian" Zionists vs the Republicans who don't care if they sound humanitarian or not."
Yup, and that is in and of itself a slog.
"And on that subject not even progressive Democrats will be of much help. You want to vote for the more progressive Democrats because you think they can affect change within the party at large by moving it away from its current status quo, but even people like AOC or Bernie Sanders can't be counted on to provide any meaningful pressure to the party apparatus. AOC can't even call it genocide, and Bernie Sanders outright refused to demand a ceasefire because he thinks Israel can't do it as long as Hamas exists - which is just the same thing liberal and conservative Zionists already say. But what about other than Israel and Palestine? "
Yes, and this is why broad coalitions often suck, and the Democrats are just that. Moving the apparatus more left is a multiyear operation, and the outpouring of rage I've been privy to here and on TikTok at how slow everything moves and how things operate is understandable, but it is largely unfocused, mostly online, and not being focused in actual ballot measures and useful direct action where it could do the most good.
"We just last week learned that AOC was teaming up with an anti-LGBTQ think tank on policy, because she thinks NCOSE have progressive interests in mind, and don't want a blanket ban on pornography that will harm and oppress LGBTQ people, when in fact they do and always have...Real, actually harm comes from this very process, and voting for AOC helped make it happen."
I'd not even heard of this until this post. Is there a place I can find more information? The entire KOSA, FOSTA-SESTA thing is a complete clusterfuck and a failure on the part of the whole government establishment. It doesn't seem to do anything it says it wants to do, and seems to just make more victims as it goes along. The anti-sexworker angle has been considerably vile.
"But then again if not her, someone else might. Just look at John Fetterman. Granted he was probably already a bit of a conservative before (he was pro-cop and not very good on immigration policy) but people voted for him because he ran on a working class populist platform against Dr Oz, and now his entire career since October 7th has just been him being one of the most overbearing and uncompromising Zionists in the Senate, so staunch in his Zionism it may even have gotten him divorced. It's that bad, and it's a very interesting pattern with elected Democrats, even "progressive" ones. You'll vote for them to represent your interests, and maybe in the long term they sometimes do something, but they're also very likely to ultimately act as moderate conservatives in power - they may not be theocratic fascists, but they're still often impediments to progressive change."
Yeah, unfortunately with the system as it stands some of that is dependent with regards to on-the-ground factors e.g. what is conservative in that State for their politicians vs more liberal. They are not theocratic fascists, and between a liberal who might weight the scales against progress and a full on fascist, at least for me, there's only one choice. It is a shit choice and I would love to see actual leftists make inroads. That is a multi-year and multilevel process.
"I just don't see "victory" out there, and there probably won't be for a very long time - and on many fronts, there probably isn't time, for a lot of people. I'm serious, just roll this back to the issue of climate change and the reform argument is weakened by the obvious problem that we don't have any time for politicians to very slowly unfuck us from the consequences of rapidly accelerating man-made climate change."
Which I get. I am taking little victories where I can. They're not the big wins I was hoping for. In truth we need some big ones to stave off the worst projections for climate change. No argument here. The reform argument is not going to be enough long-term, but between a fascist theocracy and a more liberal/progressive work to the end of addressing things, we can get more done quicker without having to fight off a theocracy in the meantime who is all speed ahead on accelerating the causes of climate change. It's not ideal, and it is not what I would want by a long shot, but accelerationism that I've seen on the Left of 'just let them win and burn it all down' it completely unhelpful here.
"And it's not the USA. Modern capitalist states have had decades to do anything other than what they are doing, and they're simply too slow to act on our best interests, while often still ignoring, stifling, or even repressing movements for change. They can't really do anything else, because ultimately the entire system they're working in has to go, sooner rather than later, or we will fail to ensure the survival of the majority of human beings or life on Earth."
Agreed. The whole capitalist apparatus needs to go. There is no infinite growth on a finite planet.
"If it puts your mind at ease, I happen to think Biden will win the US election, even if he doesn't deserve to, and whether leftists vote for him will have almost nothing to do with it. I promise you, that will not be any comfort to anyone. "
I wish it did. Biden is the least of my desired options, but he is the only one at this point who has a decent shot at winning. I wish he had been the candidate we needed and had gotten half of what he had promised on his campaign trail. I think many of the initiatives got fucked between the Supreme Court and the slim majority that was itself fucked by Manchin and Sinema. It's not what I'd want for any of us. It just is what is, and I don't see the accelerationism I'm seeing from some leftists as useful, helpful, or desirable.
"The only reason things to look forward to are that the GOP doesn't get carte blanche to do Project 2025 (but in which case they'll simply worm aspects of its agenda in somehow) and maybe, with less Republicans in the three branches, the United States can keep financially supporting the Ukrainian war effort against Russia. You really can't expect much else unless you trust Biden to reinstate and codify Roe v Wade, and frankly I do not have faith in that happening."
Unfortunately, I trust Biden less far than I can throw him. I know this is a shit sandwich and there's no amount of pollyanna thinking that will get us around where we are.
"You can't keep telling "leftists" (as meaningless as that word even is) how important it is to vote Democrat every time when, for yet another example, they're putting forward what amounts to a right-wing immigration bill as a compromise with Republicans, that many Republicans keep posturing against even still. This is not a deontological consideration. This is just thinking about what your own interests are, at minimum, and it's based on the larger picture at play."
Good Gods I wish we had a better, more meaningful term than leftists, but qualifying everything by saying Marxists, Leninists, Marxist-Leninist, Anarchist, etc. is exhausting, and many of the attitudes I have been seeing have come from a broader swath of leftist-aligned folks than just one core group.
On a practical level unless folks just want to give Republicans what they want, there's precious little else to do but vote Democratic. The apparatus of the two party system is here to stay, and no amount of thrashing about it that I've been seeing in my feeds is effective or useful to the end of fixing things. Third parties drain off so many votes that it harms folks up and down the ballot. Many of the critiques I've seen on the left of how things are and how to react remind me so much of deontology because unless it is done in the right way it is attacked. The larger picture needs a lot of work, and there's no doubt in my mind this is a multigenerational project. No progress can get done if we're mired in Trump GOP takeover and Project 2025.
As I've said, I'm not expecting the Democrats to be saviors here. I know it is not satisfying for me to say that this is the best shot we have for now, but so far as I can see that is the case. I just know that letting Republicans win isn't going to help things, and the accelerationist attitude I'm seeing out of leftists frankly worries me. Much of my focus is on local issues as it stands because so much of the national apparatus is out of my hands.
Reflecting on some of the posts that I have made and seen in the last couple of weeks, both here on Tumblr and on TikTok, I am increasingly suspicious of anybody that insists that voting is a useless or misdirected effort of energy. Not only have I seen innumerable cases in my state where this is simply not the case, entire sections of the federal government are effectively locked into right-wing positions because Trump won his election. He has entire sections of the appeals system and federal government more broadly aligned with him precisely because of how many nominations he's successfully put forward. Now, this does not mean that Biden or even the Democratic party more generally is going to ride to the rescue, however it speaks to the power that voting results wield.
Not voting is not an effective protest. All you are doing by not voting is saying hey someone else make this decision for me. By not voting you are not actually saying to the system "Hey I'm protesting against you!" At that point you have given the government system cart blanche to fucking ignore you.
I don't know who told you that not voting was anything other than giving up what little power you have to influence your government and therefore how your tax money and society operates on an everyday level. They lied to you. After a certain point there's no nice way to put this.
If you choose not to vote, that is a choice. I view it as an incredibly poor one. I also look at voting third party outside of elections where you know the candidate has no honest to the Gods shot to be a waste of time. You can vote however you want. If you want your vote to be effective then you're going to have to play with the system we've got until we can make a better one. These things take time. If we are being realistic, it is likely more than a few election cycles.
Another thing I have found intensely distasteful this entire election cycle has been from some leftists to sneer at harm reduction, as though opposing Republicans with Democratic candidates is just caving to fascism. Democrats and my State backed up unions and secured a woman's right to choose and secured bodily autonomy not only for women but forLGBTQIA+ folks. Republicans have fought against that.
"Oh but Manchin-" "Oh, but Sinema-"
Are not the whole of the Democratic Party. They were conservative holdouts in a largely center to center right coalition party whose younger constituents are far more left that the old guard. They fucked up some excellent legislation (or at least excellent opportunities) to put us in far better positions through helping to kill the Democrats' Build Back Better Plan and similar legislation.
Trying to punish the Democrats retroactively for not pushing Roe v Wade into law or not fulfilling all their campaign promises, by withholding your vote come the elections is short sighted, retrograde, and ultimately, harmful. It hands power to the Republicans without a fight, and allows them to set the boards for zoning, schools, city council, and so much more. It actively shoots your fellow citizens in the foot so you can feel moral superiority.
It reminds me of folks saying "Well I'm not filing because I am not gonna pay my taxes!" Unless your income is entirely under the table or illegal, or you intentionally changed your contributions, chances are that you were paying taxes this entire time and the only thing you're doing by not filing is potentially fucking yourself.
I get being angry, desperate, and despairing at the state of things, whether the political system, the world more broadly, or whatever issue you hold most dear to your heart. I'm not saying don't be angry, sad, depressed, or raging. I'm saying use it well. If you cannot summon up the give-a-shit on your own case, do it for those around you. Every bit we can do helps, and voting can make a lot of difference in our neighborhoods, and from there, the greater world.
Whether you are reading the missives from various pulpits or you're looking at project 2025, Christofascism is here. Folks have been warning about this for quite a long time, and it is here and it is in full swing. We cannot afford for the Republicans to take over. Heathens, Pagans, magical folks, none of us can afford a Republican victory at this point. Republicans have shown a deep willingness to use the apparatus of the state to harm queer and non-Christian people. They have shown a disdain for the separation of church and state. If you are on the right in this country you should be concerned if you're in any marginalized group. You will not be spared because you're "one of the good ones ".
Did you not see how they treated the Log Cabin Republicans? Did you not see that? Voting red will not save you, it will not make you more palatable. If the Republicans take power and get what they really want through their Christofascism and Project 2025, it does not matter how long you've been a Republican; if you are queer or Pagan you may as well not exist.
Believe me, I am not for a moment stating that Democrats are our saviors. They are a coalition center right political party that we can influence through our lobbying and votes. We can influence them through a variety of other means, including direct action is some have done. Some of you have failed to notice that your direct actions actually were useful! Kamala Harris came right out and said that they were pushing for a ceasefire, after so long of just leaving it off the table entirely. It is not that the narrative cannot be pushed, it is not that we cannot be heard, but you all need to recognize when you are heard and act accordingly without moving the fucking goal posts.
You demanded the administration work on a ceasefire and now they are. That is a victory! However, the Democrats cannot make the Israeli government and the Palestinian government come to a ceasefire. There is also only so much that we can do given the treaties and the alliances that we have. Yes, I know that America has a history of breaking it's treaties and why couldn't we just break this one? Well, because we're just not going to because it's been policy for almost the last 80 years. I just fervently wish the left more generally understood the political process better than it does and realize that we are doing quite a lot to move things along from where they could have been.
If you think for a second that Trump presidency would be better on any of these things you're wrong. That there are some leftists want to sink this project of American democracy simply because they didn't get what they want reminds me a lot of screaming fucking children who want a toy and are going to scream and shout when they don't get it. There's a sincere lack of understanding of the political process that I am seeing right now, especially given what I saw during the primary elections, and is sincere lack of understanding the political process with regards to our position with Israel. Again, I am not saying for a fucking moment don't be angry and don't do everything that you can't tell lobby for the Palestinian people. Engage in whatever diversity of tactics appeals the most to you. Part of having a diversity of tactics is including voting and on the ground diplomatic work. It isn't fun, it isn't sexy, but it's absolutely necessary in the meantime to get us to a place where we can be more effective. I would rather be more effective than being morally pure. I would rather be more effective and do what is possible than see everything around me fucking burn because it isn't just right.
I really do not hold with deontology. As a heathen my ethics are more centered in consequentialism. I care about how the tapestry looks after it's been woven, more than I care about how it has been woven. I will take an imperfect way of getting to the end of a tapestry then the tapestry never getting finished or being finished poor due to constantly unraveling it. There is no way that burning everything down is going to be helpful or effective for most folks. In any case, burning everything down with nothing to replace it leaves folks like me who rely on regular medications like insulin completely fucked. To be sure, the system fucks me and those in my position. It fucks the poor, the disabled, the marginalized. However, not having anything to replace it and just burning everything down, having no complex systems in place to slot into place will do immense, untold amounts of damage. Reforms are not sexy, and but they are how we can continue to live while we do the work needed to make things more equitable, more fair, more just.
I want change. We need to change as a society to become more just, equitable, fair, and to survive in the face of the challenges that we are facing. However, stepping away from the system as a whole, as though you're not going to be wrapped up in it as things go forward, that, to me, is giving up. It's not revolutionary. I would far rather see leftists and left-leaning Heathens and Pagans to flex their vote and their activism locally, to make the changes on the ground that we can where we live, how we live, with the Ginnreginn we live alongside.

‘HUMO’s big youth survey - Politics, society and religion’ - With Nora Dari (part 2)
- TW: racism, neo-nazism, extreme right, police brutality, white privilege, ethnic profiling, Black Lives Matter - DONE PLAYING Tom Van Grieken and Dries Van Langenhove are second and fifth in the list of popular politicians. Vlaams Belang surpasses NV-A as the most popular party. Do you get their success with the youth? Céleste Cockmartin: “I’ve got a simple explanation for that: Vlaams Belang uses young language.” Nora Dari: “They’re on TikTok!” Bouba Kalala: “Politicians talk on tv like they’re the smartest people in the world. But when Tom Van Grieken sits down at ‘Terzake’, it’ll give you the impression that he talks like a normal person. Like he doesn’t read the answers from a sheet of paper, even though he also prepares everything.” Céleste Cockmartin: “It’s a shame other parties don’t do the same. Then the results of the survey would’ve been completely different. I can’t believe young people who vote for Vlaams Belang, really support their positions. You can spot it in the survey: they’ve got a more positive perspective regarding immigrants than a few years ago and before the activism. So they’re contradicting themselves.” Bouba Kalala: “They’re tired of all the bullshit. Even when they don’t agree with all the positions, they simply want someone to listen and not treat them as a small children. They’re taking advantage of that.”
Do your friends vote for the party? Bouba Kalala: “Not anymore, but I’ve seen old friends pose with Dries Van Langenhove on photos. Others might show off their SS-tattoo on social media and I’d run into them afterwards, at the Brussels Northern Station, in army uniform and with a machine gun in hand. (= The army still patrols some train stations in Belgium, as a safety measure to terrorism attacks). A very uncomfortable reunion (*laughs*). I grew up between sick racists.” Nora Dari: “That’s bad.” Bouba Kalala: “They saw me as the good black guy: ‘You’re not like that’. But they kept using the n-word constantly. I'd keep my mouth shut. My sister and I were the only black children at the primary school in Wolvertem. I saw a lot of racist stuff as a child.” Céleste Cockmartin: “Did you even realize it back then?” Bouba Kalala: “Yes, but the urge to fit in, was too big. I kept quiet, but now, I’m no longer silent. If my friends start a story with: ‘And then I ran into a black guy...’, I’ll object: ‘Is the color of their skin really relevant to the story?’. Then they’ll apologize immediately. I’ve got a different friend group than before.” Why did you stop being silent? Bouba Kalala: “Because of the Black Lives Matter movement. Something was always stuck inside me. I was obsessed with the Yellow Vests - a movement that finally dared to rise up against their government. When I saw these people protest on the street, after the murder of George Floyd - not one, but two, three, four days - I was done with letting people walk all over me. I’d been looking for a long time for something I could give my life to, and now I found it. Done playing, done with injustice.  Black Lives Matter isn’t solely about black people. It’s about people with a disability, a different sexuality, the muslims, who are still treated badly in Belgium, everyone who doesn’t have a voice.” Were you witness to the riots that happened after the Black Lives Matter-protest on the 7th of June? Bouba Kalala: “Yes. After the protest we drove home. When I saw what happened, I got out of the car: ‘Sorry, mom, I’ll take the bus’. I didn’t touch or break anything, but I had to see it with my own eyes. I didn’t want to hear the version of the media. I talked to these young people too: ‘You do know they’ll use this against you?’. Their response was: ‘We can protest obediently, but they’ll won’t listen to us anyways. Maybe they do now.” (*stops abruptly*) Sorry, I’m starting to rant, but it was one of the craziest days of my life. When I talk about it, I still feel the adrenaline flowing in my body.” Nora Dari: “I get emotional when I hear you talk about it. It’s deeply rooted within society to be an ass to anyone who’s different.” That’s what young people seem to realize too: 4 out of 10 are convinced the police use more force against a minority. Nora Dari: “I never feel safe near cops. You can’t fool me that there are just some bad apples. My little brother, who’s the sweetest 16-year-old in the world, doesn’t do anything wrong, just loves gaming all the time. But at least once a month he comes home with the message: “I’ve been pat down again”. I get angry, but it doesn’t bother him anymore. The indifference makes it even worse.” Have you got experience with ethnic profiling, Bouba? Bouba Kalala: “I was stopped by cops yesterday. While one officer started to talk to me, the other pulled the door open and sat down right next to me. ‘You have any narcotics with you?’ I couldn't resist answering: ‘Yes, cigarettes and a RedBull.’ He then searched the whole car. Very intimidating. By the way, I think it's not just about racism, but also abuse of power. But it is striking, that out of all my friends, I’m the only one who has ever gotten a cop in his car. All my friends are white.” Céleste Cockmartin: “I would love to live in a world where something like that doesn’t happen, a world where everyone gets equal opportunities.” Even if you had to relinquish some of your privileges? Céleste Cockmartin: “Yes. I want to contribute. I talk to friends who claim they support the Black Lives Matter-movement, but at the same time think that too much fuss is being made. If we don’t rise up to the streets, a lot of things will remain the same. I’d rather let those who are involved, speak their truths. I’ll support them from the sidelines. Though, I’ll admit: I’m constantly making mistakes, when I talk about it. (*To Bouba and Nora*) Hey, you can point this out to me?” Bouba Kalala: “No one should have to hold back out of fear of saying something wrong. It’s a sensitive subject, but no one will blame you if your message is well-intentioned. And I don't even want to think in terms of privileges. Please take every opportunity you get. All we ask is that we get the same ones.” 41 percent of youngsters think schools should pay more attention to the colonial past. Céleste Cockmartin: “I’ve got a lot of German friends: they are taught the history of WWII, year after year. We should follow their lead.” Should the statues of Leopold II be removed? 34 percent says ‘no’. Céleste Cockmartin: “I’m certainly not against removing them, but for me it’s not necessary. You could mention (on a plaque) what that man has done.” Bouba Kalala: “You’re right, you know. But if those statues aren't gone within a year, I'll take them down myself.” You’ve got Congolese roots.  Bouba Kalala: “My mom is Belgian and my dad is Congolese, but they got divorced early on and I’ve ignored that part of my roots for a long time. Until now. I was shocked when that discussion happened and people suddenly recoiled: ‘We’re not going to remove these statues, are we?’. Was I naive to think that we’re all opposed to what happened back then? Please don't tell me Leopold II has done a lot of good for this country.” Nora Dari: “Why would keep something like that, when you know it hurts so many people? You don't see a statue of Khadhafi anywhere, do you?” When I hear you all like this, you’re certainly the generation of action. Nora Dari: “I hope so. It would be bad if we would stay quiet, right now. If we stood still, with everything that is happening - racism, climate, corona - then we’re just cowards.”

Growing up in her grandfather’s Pentecostal church, Charrise Lane has always lived a Christian life. From first grade to her senior year of high school, the west Orlando native attended a predominately Black private school, Victor Christian Academy. Lane has said she gave her heart to God in the first grade, but gave her life to God in her final year of high school.
The 21-year-old is a junior communications student at Bob Jones University in South Carolina with a minor in political science. She plans to become a lawyer specializing in constitutional law. She is also a pro-Black conservative and a first-time voter who has proudly proclaimed her vote for President Donald Trump in Tuesday’s election.
The registered Republican voter says she started her journey as a Trump supporter at the age of 17 during her senior year in high school, which was also when Trump first ran for office in 2016. However, at the time, Lane was too afraid to publicly support the political candidate due to the backlash she now continuously receives from her community, African Americans.
“It has been challenging because people judge me instead of getting to know me personally as a human being,” Lane said. “Yes, I have received backlash, and it has taken a toll on me personally. But, I have decided to keep going and not let what people say stop me from saying what I have to say.”
Since Lane publicly shared that she is a Trump supporter, she has received a rather significant following on social media platforms: Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. On TikTok, the public figure speaks about politics and other topics regarding the 2020 presidential election and the Black community.
Many people say one cannot be pro-Black and pro-Trump. Lane sets the record straight and says it is possible to be both.
“I think that they [pro-Black and pro-Trump] can go together, I mean, I am an example,” Lane said in an interview with AfricaBlack. “How can you kill all these [Black] babies that adds up over time, and then say you’re pro-Black? So for that, I would say yes, that can go together; you can be pro-Black and be pro-Trump.”
Lane’s following also agrees and offers their support for her being pro-Trump and pro-Black in America.
“As a young white conservative, I have absolutely no issue with you being ‘pro-Black’ or being proud of your black skin. For those who do have an issue with it have some catching up to do,”  Instagram user @anthonymosgaard wrote under Lane’s post. “I think you are doing a great job at beginning that process and opening up that dialogue.”
However, being pro-Black and pro-Trump hasn’t been easy for Lane as she receives criticism from both political parties.
“I get heat from both sides for my politics. Some Democrats/Liberals tell me I cannot be pro-Black because I support Trump,” Lane said. “While some Republicans/Conservatives say I cannot be pro-Black because calling yourself pro-Black is racist. I don’t call Black people thugs and criminals, especially ones who faced police brutality.”
As many continue to shame and say derogatory comments to the public figure, Lane unapologetically continues to support the Trump-Pence administration mainly for Trump’s policies rather than his controversial personality.
The college student’s primary reason for voting for Trump is because he is pro-life. The debatable issue on pro-life in Lane’s eyes, and several other voters’, also support Black lives.
“Since Roe v. Wade passed in the Supreme Court, over 19 million Black babies have been murdered through abortion, which has since then cut down the Black population to thirteen percent,” Lane said in an interview with AfricaBlack. “Now that 19 million, that’s actually more than people dying in the Holocaust. Why would a politician stand for abortion when that’s the number one killer in the Black community and has proven to be? Think of how much more people we could’ve had in our community if we weren’t killing babies. So that’s one of the things I like about him [Trump].”
Lane backs Trump because she says he has put into practice everything he promised during his presidential campaign in 2016. For example, Lane explains how Trump’s promise to pass the prison reform bill, the “First Step Act,” has allowed several people on account of first-time drug offenses to be released from prison.
In the beginning, Lane’s family didn’t approve of her political choice regarding the presidency, especially her father, a legal immigrant from Jamaica. However, over time, most of her family supported her decision to be a Trump supporter.
“I have lost people in the past, but we have reunited,” Lane said. “Some people support it, some don’t, but we all have respect for each other at the end of the day.”
Lane thinks that people’s beliefs shouldn’t matter when it comes to a relationship as long as people respect each other’s opinions.
Many may question why she supports a president who is seemingly against immigration, considering her father is a legal immigrant. Lane does wish the immigration process could be easier but reiterates how she and Trump are against illegal immigration — not legal.
“I don’t agree with it [illegal immigration] because it’s a crime,” Lane said in an interview with AfricaBlack. “You can’t be putting our people [African-Americans] in jail and calling them criminals and they’re American citizens, but when illegals come over here, you’re calling them undocumented immigrants instead of illegal aliens. It all depends on the term that you use, and if you are coming over here illegally, it’s a crime.”
Although her parents are divorced, Lane has four siblings, two older and two younger. Her younger siblings also support her beliefs, and she even inspired her youngest sister to be open about her support for Trump.
The infamous red “Make America Great Again” hat has symbolized a lot of purposes to different people across the nation. However, to Lane, the hat symbolizes bravery.
“It’s not a sign of hate to me. It’s a sign of bravery,” Lane said. “It’s letting people know they cannot bully me; they cannot judge me for my opinions, and that I have the right to my own opinions.”
Regardless of who Lane politically supports, she continues to advocate for her Black community as a pro-Black conservative and Christian. During the Black Lives Matter movement in the summer, Lane attended one of the protests in west Orlando, where instead of chanting like other protesters, she was praying for the safety of those around her.
As a first-time voter, Lane chose to vote by mail from South Carolina because of school. Lane said Trump is the right candidate to be re-elected because he fulfilled everything he promised in the 2016 election.
“A lot of people I know support school choice, are pro-life, don’t like high taxes, don’t support human trafficking, and support small businesses. Trump has policies concerning all of these,” she said.
With the election less than 24 hours away, Lane hopes her vote for the Trump administration won’t go unnoticed and unheard as Lane continues to advocate for change within her community.

1090.
Can you say you are fully happy right now? >> Some surveys have such standard and generic questions that I can’t rightly tell if I’ve already taken it. This is one of those, and because it’s so long I’m hoping to god I don’t get to the middle of it and be like “oh. I did this literally last week” lmao. Fingers crossed. I don’t know what “fully happy” means. I took my walk like I promised myself, and I made an offering and am now drinking it (it’s delicious, a dessert stout called Big Luscious), so I’m on track for how I wanted my day to go. And I’m not triggered or having any kind of episode, so I’m okay there. Which means I am currently stable, which is a great place to be (considering the alternatives).
Do you think someone is thinking about you right now? >> It’s possible, I guess.
Is there someone who stopped talking to you for no reason? >> I mean, probably, at some point. Ghosting is a common thing these days, for some reason.
Did you ever get called horrible names like (whore, skank, bitch)? >> Sure.
Where did you sleep last night? >> In my bed.
Ever slow danced with anyone? >> Yes, outworld and Inworld. Inworld is obviously the best, though. ~
Ever cried in public? >> Yes. Privacy and solitude was a rarity and a luxury for most of my life, so I had no real choice.
Ever feel safe in someone’s arms? >> Inworld, yes. I don’t know what that’s like outworld.
What would you do if you were pregnant? >> Die.
Are you afraid of letting anyone in? >> So, I have disordered attachment, am a product of CEN and CSA, and have resultant CPTSD. You do the math. (*makes some kind of joke about how it’s probably gonna be algebra because of all the acronyms--*)
Do you like cuddling? >> I love it Inworld. It basically gets me through everything. I would basically remain glued to Can Calah at all times if I could (and on some bad days, I do). Outworld is a completely different story because of the things mentioned just above.
Ever cry in school? >> I’m sure I have.
Who is the last person to send you a message on facebook? >> Probably Casey, like a month and a half ago.
Do you look decent when you wake up? >> Why am I paying attention to how I look when I wake up? I’m in bed. Who the fuck am I performing for? -___-’
Have you ever been given roses? >> No.
Had a long distance relationship? >> Yes.
Does it bother you when people never answer their cell phones? >> Why would that bother me? I am also one of those people. Oh, I guess you mean, like... I call a person, they never answer... hah, as if I would ever call a person. This is totally outside my experience.
Do you care what happens in politics/your government? >> I mean... here’s the thing. I care in the sense that I’m not totally disconnected from the effects of politics on people like me. But the realm of politics, specifically, is so alien to me that I have no idea what to do about it except halfheartedly vote and hope for the best? I don’t know how much more I’m supposed to care. I hate the political system, period, I want nothing to do with it. People assume that anyone that feels that way must be privileged and unaffected by politics, but I guess their shortsightedness about how different people can experience and feel about things is not my problem.
Ever been called babe/baby? >> Sparrow says “babe”.
Have you ever witnessed someone else engaging in a sexual act (not necessarily sex)? >> Yes.
Where did you get drunk last? >> I don’t remember. I don’t get drunk anymore, I just like to drink a beverage and enjoy the taste and slight buzz. Like right now, it’ll probably take me the next hour or two to finish this stout, but that’s the way I like to drink. Slowly and comfortably.
What’s your relationship with the last person you texted? >> I’m married to her.
If someone went through your pictures, would they find a dirty one? >> Nope. The only time I ever took nudes was just for the fun of it, not to be sexual or anything. Just enjoying having a human body (god, I wish that were me now...). But that was a long time ago and none of those photos are available anywhere anymore.
Do you want to see anyone right now? >> No.
Have you ever fell asleep in someone’s arms? >> Inworld, yes. Outworld, no.
How long does it take for you to fall asleep at night? >> About a half-hour after laying down, usually. Some nights a little longer, but then I just catch up on my reading.
How many pillows are on your bed >> Two.
When’s the last time you cried? >> Yesterday.
Is it cute when a guy buys you flowers? >> I mean, I’d require more context than that. If I’m friends with a guy and he’s like “I saw these flowers and thought of you!” that’d be adorable. I do love flowers, thanks for thinking of me! Also, I’ll probably use them as an offering, so double win. If some random guy sent me flowers, I’d be a bit disturbed and put-off.
Will things change in the next month? >> I mean, yes. That’s how it works.
How did you do on the last test you took? >> ---
Have you ever wanted to tell someone something but didn’t? >> I mean, yeah. Are you afraid to grow up? >> ---
Are you busy tomorrow? >> Probably not, unless something really unpredictable and abnormal happens. I might be plenty busy playing FFXIV, though, considering I can’t today because it’s patch day.
How long have you had the shirt you’re wearing? >> It’s an undershirt, idk how long I’ve had it.
Do you give out second chances way too easily? >> Er, I assume not? I’m not usually in this kind of situation.
Has anyone told you that you’re amazing? >> Yes.
How many black shirts do you own? >> Like 15. For reference, I own like 20 shirts total.
Do you think you will be in a relationship three months from now? >> I don’t see why I wouldn’t be. A lot of weird and sudden shit would have to happen to change that.
How come you’re not going out with the person you like? >> ---
When you feel cold does eating warm food help you feel warm? >> I don’t know. I do feel warmer after eating, just in general, probably because of the blood moving around to start digestion.
Do you want to diet? >> No. No I fucking do not. Don’t even suggest that to me.
Are you unsure about your feelings for someone? >> I’m not unsure about my feelings for anyone. I know how I feel about people. It’s other people whose feelings are a complete mystery to me.
Who did you last hang out with? >> Sparrow, because we live together.
Would you take $40,000 or a brand new car? >> I mean, obviously the money, since I can’t drive and don’t want to...
What song are you currently listening to? >> None.
Are you happy with your relationship? >> It’s fine.
Who was the last person to smoke something other than a cigarette or weed in front of you? >> Other than a cigarette or weed?? So, like... crack???? I really couldn’t say. It’d be years ago.
Does anything on your body hurt? >> Not right now.
If the last person you kissed were calling you right now, would you answer? >> I would, because if she’s calling me, then it must be a real ass emergency. Or probably like an EMT using her phone to find an emergency contact. So yeah, I’d answer. One of the very rare times I’d answer my phone.
In the run of a week, how many times do you straighten your hair? >> ---
Are you mad at someone right now? >> Nope.
Last thing someone gave you? >> I don’t remember.
Who woke you up this morning? >> Just me, naturally.
Who is your favorite family member on your mom’s side? >> ---
What do you do in your spare time? >> All my time is "spare” time, by other people’s standards, so, uh...
Who was the last person you were under a blanket with? >> Just Can Calah. :B
Where is the last person you kissed? >> Inworld.
What was the last thing you ate? >> Veggie burger and chips, breakfast. I’ll probably grab some lunch and queue up a movie after this.
Which of your friends is the most likely to get pregnant right now? >> ---
Do you remember the meanest thing the last person you kissed ever said to you? >> I don’t think she’s said anything particularly vicious to me. Just... kind of thoughtless things, I guess, earlier on.
What does your last outgoing text say? >> It was a link to a TikTok of a cute dog.
Have you ever been called prince/ princess? >> No.
Waiting for something? >> No. Well, the Dinnerly box, which is gonna get here eventually and which I’ll have to go downstairs to retrieve and then unpack.
Have you kissed anyone when you’re single? >> Yes.
What are you doing this weekend? >> I imagine the same things we do every other weekend in these COVID times.
Could you go the rest of your life without smoking a cigarette? >> I imagine so.
Have you ever kissed someone who was in a relationship? >> Yeah. Where is your biological father right now? >> ---
Where is the biggest scar on your body? >> Probably the one on my face. How late did you stay up last night? >> Not very. I think I went to sleep shortly after 11. Have you had your birthday this year yet? >> Yeah, in May. You had to kiss the last person you texted, would you? >> I mean, I have. What would you call your body type? >> I don’t want to call it anything. Are you a morning person? >> Yes. Have you ever been to Target? >> Yes, many times. Do you like iced coffee? >> It’s okay. When is the next time you’ll be at work? >> --- Has anyone ever hacked your accounts before? >> Not that I can recall. Could you ever be friends with someone that broke your heart? >> Probably not. I take that kind of shit super fucking hard. Ever made a prank phone call? >> No. Does your mom vacuum early in the morning, when you’re sleeping? >> --- Have you ever been in a car accident? >> No.
Have you ever been in a fist fight with someone? >> Yes.
Have you ever seriously hurt anyone by mistake? >> Physically? I assume not. Have you ever had stitches? >> Yes. Name a time when you had to be strong. >> Like... all the time? I don’t really know how to answer this. Have you ever dealt with a divorce or parents fighting or any kind of abuse at home? >> The first two, no, because my parents were not together. The third, yes. Have you ever lost someone close to death? if so, how many? >> Once. Have you ever had any volunteer jobs? >> No. Have you gone through a lot emotionally growing up? >> Obviously. Has a boy/girl ever cheated on their boyfriend/girlfriend for you? >> I really would not want anyone to do that. Anyone that can disrespect the rules of their current relationship so flagrantly is going to disrespect me next. Also, that’s a messed up thing to do to the third party, too. Do you want to see someone this very minute? >> Not especially. Unless it’s D. :)
Are you happy with the way things are going? >> Some things, sure. Are you a forgiving person? >> Sometimes, I guess. It’s not what I’d call a character trait of mine, though. Do you have to check in with your parents before you go someplace? >> --- Do you have a friend of the opposite sex you can talk to? >> --- Describe how you feel about your life in the past month using one word: >> I cannot do that. Would you like to go back and change any part of your life? >> I mean, I don’t know. I am who I am, and that’s because of what I’ve experienced. I don’t know who I’d be otherwise, and I do like myself and I want to continue being myself, so... I have to take the bitter with the... less bitter. When will your next kiss be? >> I don’t know, whenever I want it to be. Last person you saw other than your family? >> --- Will tomorrow be better than today? >> I mean, today was pretty okay, so if tomorrow’s even better than today, boy howdy. Are you feeling guilty about anything right now? >> No. What’s going through your mind right now? >> I’m just taking this survey, dude. That’s all I’m thinking about. When’s the last time you had fast food? >> Day before Thanksgiving. Do you believe that there’s good in everybody? >> I mean, I guess, if we have to put it that way. I just think that people are largely alike, and that if I can see the “shadow self” in me and everyone that is capable of many of the evils of the world, then I don’t see why I can’t also see the “higher self” in me and everyone that is capable of the beautiful things that people do for and with each other. These divisions always make me twitch a little because I think making it a dichotomy misses the real point a bit, but I haven’t run into better words for this yet so I’m doing my best with what I’ve got. Is it okay if you kiss people when you’re single? >> ... When was the last time you saw someone attractive? >> I mean, I can see Can Calah or King Crimson whenever I want. :B What was the first thing you did when you woke up? >> Probably reached for my phone to see what time it was. Think back eight months ago, were you single? >> No. What do you carry with you at all times? >> Myself :) Are you okay with the life you live? >> I’m okay with a lot of it. Way more okay with the lives I’ve had to lead before.
Do you have a Tattoo? >> Yes. What other piercings would you get other than the ones you already have? >> I’m not sure. I haven’t really thought about it because I’ve been so focused on tattoos in recent times. I’d just rather have ink. Did your last kiss take place on a bed? >> Probably. Have you ever been to Disney World? >> No. If so, how many times have you been? >> --- Does grammar and capitalization mean anything to you? >> Meh. Like, here’s the thing -- even if I don’t capitalise proper nouns or use dialect grammar as opposed to “proper” (don’t get me started on the connotations of that term) grammar, I can still be understood. And that’s the whole fucking point. I use the social standard for grammar and capitalisation when it’s necessary, and for some reason I’ve been taking surveys with the social standard of English for so long that it’s a habit by now, but I’m not obsessed with it. I love being able to code-switch and I love using vernacular and I love “Internet dialect/grammar” and all of that. Language in all its forms, unrestrained, is just so. fucking. cool. Are you good at wrapping gifts for others? >> Sure, I like the orderly origami-like process of wrapping. Do you have a dirty clothes hamper in your room? >> No, it’s in Sparrow’s (bigger) room. Do you enjoy big holiday dinners? >> I enjoy big dinners and small dinners. I assume by “big” you mean “lots of food”, not... “big” as in “lots of people”, because that I do not enjoy. Is your vision good? >> Yes. Is your present hair color, natural? >> Yes. What was the last thing you ordered online? >> A crystal. Fuck, that reminds me, I gotta poke around on Etsy for some stocking stuffer type gifts.   Have you ever worn color contacts? >> Yes, quite often back in the day. If you have a significant other, how long have you been together? >> Almost nine years or something, idk. I’m bad at time math. Where are your parents as of now? >> --- Do you follow a certain religion? >> No. Do you have any family members who live out of town? >> --- Do you consider yourself short? >> Not really. What room are you in? >> Mine. Do you listen to any country music? >> Sure. Do you ever watch Lifetime? >> No. I don’t have cable, but I wouldn’t watch Lifetime even if I did. Would ever consider having children in the future? >> Probably not. Have you ever lived on a farm? >> No. Do both of your parents have jobs? >> --- If you had the chance to move to a completely different state, would you? >> Yes. What is something you’ve always wanted a boy to do for you? >> Clean my house. IDK, lol. What do you wish you had more knowledge about? >> Oh, stuff. What food are you craving right now? >> I’m not craving anything, even though it’s lunchtime. I have no idea what I want to eat. ...Hmm, egg, rice, and roasted veggies sounds really good but idk if I want to make eggs right now... How old were you when you stopped believing in Santa? >> I never was told about him. I kind of vaguely knew he existed from just... cultural saturation, or whatever, but yeah. How many times have you kissed the last person you kissed? >> A lot. Do you have a friend you can tell stuff to and you’re sure they won’t tell? >> --- Would you ever get someone’s name tattooed on you? >> You know, every time I see this question I totally fucking forget that I already have a person’s name tattooed on me. My X-Files tattoo that matches with Sparrow’s says “scully, it’s me”. Scully is a name lmaoooo So, yeah, I guess the answer is yes.
Does your family have family picnics? >> --- If your doctor said you were pregnant, what would you say? >> “That’s not a funny joke, so please stop”, I mean, what else would I say? That’s literally impossible so the doctor must be trying to pull a funny. A really fucking bad one, too.

Another Year, Another Recap - “Have a Coke and a smile... :)”
Tumblr media
So, we're getting to the end, people. We're about to finish off another year. Personally, this year has been immensely better than the last.
I didn't even want to stay up and do any celebrating at the end of 2018. I just wanted to go to bed and be done with that bleepin year. This year has been a hell of a lot better. I hope that all of you can say something similar, but if not, there's always going to bed early, and putting your hope in the next year.
This past Christmas (and all Christmas', really) I spent time doing a lot of hating on Christmas music; it's a valued tradition of mine. I am, however, always surprised to find a few songs each year that don't bother me all that much. This year, one of them was John Legend's "Baby, It's cold outside" ft Kelly Clarkson
Tumblr media
- a rewritten, sans rapey vibe rendition to boot its 1940's something predecessor.
In this version (at least how I interpret it), both people wanted some action that night. John says all of the right stuff ("I'll call you a car", "maybe you SHOULD go"), creating a safe environment, and most importantly, not coming off as sleazy and rapey. He's also protecting himself with this recording:) But, let's be clear... he wants some, and he wants it bad! While Kelly, also wants some, but doesn't want to come off as being a hoe. Nobody wants to be labeled a hoe.  So, she says all of the right things as well ("My dad and brother are waiting for me", "I've gotta visit my sick grandma", "Gotta get home to the KIDS") But, at the end of the night, they both make a decision to sing to one another "Baby, It's cold outside, so let's stay in and BLEEP." That's how you do it! No guilt! No #METOO! No wife and kids around. All is well:) Divorces are still rising, and more older people (as well as old as bleep people) are on dating apps than ever before. Consider this song a Christmas gift from John & Kelly to you.
Sexiest man alive in 2019 btw
Tumblr media
Congrats. Classic coming-up-out-of-the-water sexy.
There has been some good music in 2019. Good stuff happening. Also some sad and weird stuff happening in music - all things balance out, I suppose.
GOOD:
Lizzo
Tumblr media
I am here for all things Lizzo.
SAD & WEIRD:
Tumblr media
Maroon 5's Super Bowl performance. It wasn't even really M5's fault; they simply did what they always do. It was more a poor choice by the NFL. A boring and awkward performance. There was a time when all anybody wanted was a shirtless Adam Levine- both women AND men. Even times when he wasn't performing, he would show up places, some random person would announce to everyone "Don't worry, Adam WILL be taking off his shirt tonight." Talk about ME TOO. It was so bad that the old, white, slaveowners of the NFL hired Jay-Z (one of the blackest icons we have) to come and save them. We'll see how that turns out.
GOOD & WEIRD:
Tyler, The Creator - "IGOR"
Tumblr media
One of my fav projects of the year. Tyler, the Creator is an odd dude - I mean this as a compliment. I love how Hip-Hop has evolved. There's a lot more room nowadays to be yourself, no matter how outsiders might deem your behavior as weird (sometimes, others NOT saying this as a compliment). I love his creativity, and hope he continues to inspire other artists (especially in hip-hop) to be creative. Heeeee also says stuff like this "I like girls, but I have sex with their brothers." But, also uses the word "gay" as an insult. Who knows?? There's a lot to unpack there.
SAD:
Tumblr media
In other news, Camila Cabello might be a racist. Y'all can look it up if you'd like, but some posts of hers resurfaced. I'm a fan of hers, and checked out the posts for myself, thinking "People are prob just overreacting" - they're not, it's bad. She has apologized, saying the whole "I'm older and wiser now" thing. The prob with that is she's only 22.
GOOD & BAD, I GUESS:
ADELE
Tumblr media
It's always good to see Adele out and about. These holiday pics show that's she's still alive (I get concerned, cuz she tends to disappear for a while) and apparently a lot thinner. This of course stirs men to say men type things, women to go on the attack, and all genuine compliments towards her to get lost. The good news is, Adele seems to be getting pretty chummy with Santa, and everyone knows that St. Nick is a heartbreaker. Adele should be spurned and back in the studio writing amazing tunes soon enough.
WEIRD:
Kanye
These pics say it all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
... that being said, I love his new music (which is how I stamp all of my conversations about Ye).
GOOD:
Billie Eilish!
Tumblr media
Now (like many), one of my fav artists.
BAD:
Tumblr media
She just turned 18, so of course, us men being ourselves again say things like "She's 18 now. You know what that means." Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what that means. Nothing says crossing-over into womanhood quite like being objectified.
Speaking of 2019 pervs - R.KELLY!
Tumblr media
We can throw MJ and... what the hell, I'll just throw Spacey in there as well (his documentary is coming soon enough, I'm sure).
We were all enthralled by these two docuseries. It's interesting how different races respond to MJ. Both see him as... you know, but most black people are still listening to his music. White people on the other hand are ready to riot every time someone plays one of his songs... except around Halloween - gotta have "Thriller".
We love depressing television.
There was "Chernobyl" as well as "When they see us"
Movies too -
"Joker"
Tumblr media
I love this movie, but it's about a homicidal clown, struggling with mental illness.
"Us"
Tumblr media
I love this movie, but it's about classism and marginalization.
"Endgame"
Tumblr media
It's largely about grief.
It's the best movie of the year, as far as I'm concerned!
It should win all awards!
ALL OF THEM!
Tumblr media
Best Horror
Tumblr media
Best Comedy
Tumblr media
Best Romance
Tumblr media
Remember when he sent the message to his wife? Cute, right?
Personally, I think he and Nebula were banging in each other.
Tumblr media
... I think that story is going to come out some day. C’mon... they were up in space, alone... they both thought they were going to die. She was like “OMG, I’ve always wanted to bang Robert Downey Jr.
He was like “I don’t blame you.”
But, afterwards, he was like
Tumblr media
 - you know? He felt all bad, because he’d never get to do that again (that was the last of his energy). Annnnd also because he cheated. Which led to that cute recording for his wife. SEE, it’s all connected!
Best actor in Josh Brolin (Thanos) - the range of emotions (satisfaction, terror, humility, revenge, arrogance, beatin ass, defeat) Leo and Brad Pitt ain't have to do all of that!
Best Actress... hmm.. idk about this one. Many say J.Lo deserves an Oscar for her performance in "Hustlers" - a movie made for strippers, by strippers.
Tumblr media
Exotic dancers are making a comeback! Maybe one day, stripping will be going in the same direction marijuana is - just something people do. No more shame! You can actually make a decent living at it - ain't that right, Stormy?
Tumblr media
And who can forget this J.Lo quote "This city, this whole country, is a strip club. You've got people tossing the money. and people doing the dance."
There have also been plenty of things in 2019 that I have not understood:
1) Hatin on Greta
Tumblr media
Greta - trying hard to do what she believes will make this world a better place for us all.
Certain people - "Shut that bitch up! She's crazy!"
2) Hatin on Megan Rapinoe
Tumblr media
MP - leading a soccer team to a World Cup victory, being outspoken for women's rights and gay rights, having awesome purple hair, and trying to be the best leader and athlete she can be.
Certain people - "Shut that bitch up! She's Crazy! Equal pay my ass!"
3) Popeyes Chicken Sandwich
Tumblr media
 - the gov't test for a new crack epidemic. Sadly, I never got to partake.
4) Allison Mack
Tumblr media
- This whole story began being unveiled in 2018, but continued through this year. I still don’t understand how this story has not gotten more attention. Some of y’all don’t even know what I’m talking about.... google it, and be horrified.
5) BTS (and K-pop in general)
Tumblr media
-I love them, but... our country's K-Pop fetish has gotten kinda out of hand. All kinds of artists are trying to share the spotlight with them. Next, we're going to see them team up with Kendrick Lamar.
6) TikTok - I just don't get it. What’s the difference?
7) Cancel Culture
To me all cancel culture is silenced by Trump being our president. Where was all of this righteous indignation when we voted him into office? You might say "I didn't vote for him." Yeah, but, WE did - Idk what that says about us, but it's prob not good.
It doesn't even really work - Louis CK is currently selling out venues for an unapologetic tour. I'm not even saying that it SHOULD work (in SOME cases). I'm simply saying that it doesn't work (in most cases). But, perhaps the fear of it working is enough. Or perhaps we should think through how we spend our anger.
BUT, enough of that! It's time to pass out this year's PRAPHIE AWARD!
Here are the noms:
Jordan Peele
Tumblr media
Pedro the turtle
Tumblr media
(no need for context, just know he’s awesome)
Baby Yoda
Tumblr media
(btw - studies show that if you have access to "The Mandalorian" and you AREN'T watching it, you're an asshole. This is not ME talking, this is science)
Megan Rapinoe (who I’ve already mentioned)
Flying Elbow Guy (Again, this requires no context. It’s Flying Elbow Guy! There is a baseball player who’s name I can’t remember. He took on a whole team, and... you know what - that’s too much exposition. It’s Flying Elbow Guy!
  Keanu Reeves
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Annnnnnnd! It’s...
...
KEANU!
Tumblr media
This year:
Of course JW, Toy Story 4, Cyberpunk 2077, “Always be my Maybe”, plus we found out that he’s down for The Matrix 4, John Wick 4, and Bill & Ted. CRAZY!
Also my BAMF of the year (see previous post)!
We love Keanu Reeves so much, that he's allowed to murder as many people as he wants (as John Wick).
We'll get mad if an actor who's not handicapped is playing someone who is, we'll get mad about whitewashing (as we should), we'll get mad if things are too sexualized, we GOT MAD at "Joker" for predicted violence. But, Keanu can murder all he wants:)
Tumblr media
(See the scene above? - that was a McDonald’s before he showed up)
He found love as well. Women are loving that he chose someone closer to his age. Honestly, Idk why it matters. I'd still love this man, even if he were dating 22 year old, racist ass Camila Cabello.
But, he's viewed by some as the perfect man. I disagree. I don’t think that he’s merely the perfect man, but the perfect human.
His career and popularity paths are unique. No one would call him a... GOOD actor, but look at him! And he seems like a genuinely, awesomely, good person. And whatever "good person" means to you, he's at the top! We should all (men and women) be a lil more like Keanu in 2020.
Let's all be as lovable as we can, so we may all get away with as much as we can:)
With each new year, I challenge myself with a slogan to live by. In 2020, it's going to be this -
From Eddie Murphy’s “Raw”- Richard Pryor’s advice to Eddie, concerning Bill Cosby
Telling certain people in my way "To have a Coke and a smile, and shut the bleep up." Sometimes, I might need to be the one to do this, rather than say it - we'll see.
Here was the runner-up slogan (his response)
Magical.
Happy New Year, Everyone! Enjoy yourselves. Be less of an asshole. And be safe... enough to at least make it TO 2020.
Much love!
