SPOILER ALERT ABOUT ZEN, JIEUN AND YEONHO!!!!
Jieun can see the future, Yeonho can feel about some things in tarot and Zen can see the future when he sleeps...
But I didn't play Ssum yet... So... I don't know if they stop making this kind of character... Well... Tell me if you know anything and why they can see the future or why people with red eyes are missing in Ssum (maybe because of Zen exists already in same universe)

Hc/au Suryong is a sleepwalker. And a bad one. Due to his inability to properly communicate, this has resulted in various interesting situations.
Okay I don't know how this went from silly concept to full blown angsty ficlike but bear with it okay?
While he was traveling towards the academy it was quite a hasle to often wake up in a different place from where he went to sleep. When he started traveling with Ak Yeonho he forgot to mention his sleepwalking and very much scared the shit out of Yeonho. Waking up to your travel buddy standing over you while staring you down with his glowing blue eyes will do that to you. After the first scare it became a routine for Yeonho to force Suryong back in bed after waking up to him sleepwalking again. In solidarity with the next victim of Suryong's inability to communicate he got him a sleeping rope that said 'I sleepwalk'.
Yeonho did also not hold back on venting to Ilho and Soyoung about what he had to go through. Claiming he lost years of his life span for the amount of times Suryong snuck up on him in his sleep.
When Kang and Cheon moved in he again forgot to mention anything. So when Kang went to get a glass of water and came across Suryong he was very confused when he didn't seem to respond to anything he said. Nor when he waved a hand in front of his face. Now actually looking at him noticed the bright bold characters on his rope and figured out pretty quickly Suryong was very much asleep.
Thinking Suryong's defenseless and he can finally land a hid on him. He finds out rather harshly that in Suryong's case sleepwalking can also entail sleepfighting. But when he's asleep he does not have the sense that he is fighting a high schooler and so does not hold back.
Kang made Cheon swear the keep silent about his not so masculine scream. Ever since, when he comes across Suryong sleep walking he will use a long stick to wake him up. When the others move in he is the one to inform them on Suryong's sleepwalking. And warn them of his ability to sleepfight.
On rare occasions he will go outside while sleepwalking. During these trips he will often end up at the academy. The first time it was luckily his grandfather who found him. Both his parents are sleepwalkers too so it didn't take long for grandfather to realize Suryong had inherited this trait.
After a few times of ending up at the academy Suryong started to leave some clothes he could wear at the academy in case he somehow ends up there again.
Namgoong Su learned about this trait the very hard way. He was pulling another all nighter when he came across Suryong while he was sleepwalking in the academy again. He calls out to him. When Suryong doesn't response he tries again. Suryong still doesn't response so he gets frustrated and maybe a little concerned. He walks up to him from behind and grabs his arm to turn him around.
But due to his rough way of doing so Suryong's bloodcult instincts take over and he seizes Namgoong Su's arms and flips him over his back. He roughly grabs him by the hair and puts a knife at his neck. Namgoong is caught of guard by the sudden attack and it takes him a moment to respond. His pride stinging he fights back but falters when to blade at his throat draws blood.
Gripping Suryong's clothes to relieve the stinging of his scalp, he tries to make sense of what's happening but can't quite do so. However being a martial artist in his own right he does manage to get out of Suryong's grasp. The grip Suryong has on his hair doesn't falter however. He uses this as leverage to trow Su against the wall with enough force to crack it.
It hurts but Su jumps back to his feet, expecting Suryong to continue his attack. He is surprised to see that Suryong is not even looking at him instead he looking at nothing. He says something random, it doesn't fit the context at all and Su realizes that something isn't right. He takes a closer look and now notices Suryong is wearing his sleeping robes with bright bold characters on it. His pride takes a big hit when he realizes Suryong asleep.
He tries to approach again, this time extra careful to not trigger some fight or flight instincts. It works and he carefully tries to wake Suryong up. It doesn't work or he's doing it wrong, or Suryong has something against him personally because he trows him off his feet and strangles him against the ground.
Su has no idea why Suryong is so violent in his sleep and is genuinely concerned for the safety of civilians if this is how he treats anyone who approaches him. He tries to get out only for his breathing to be completely cut off.
Suryong isn't anywhere near the current time or place. He is back with the bloodcult. He is back when he was a teen fighting some of the other numbers to the death only one of them will survive this test and he isn't gonna give up. He is aware of the trainers watching and realizes that any kindness he shows he will later get punished for as they whip him, summing up his every mistake. Each hit matched with the mistake he made. Deep down he knows that even if he did everything right they would still find flaws to punish him for, but he is young and scared, and desperate. And the bloodcult knows nothing is more dangerous than a desperate man with nothing to lose. So he fights, he is merciless, sometimes more cruel then he needs to be.
His current enemy is fighting him while he chokes him. It should take about 5 minutes for him to suffocate depending on his martial arts mastery. Except this one isn't dying. He is trying to say something but he isn't sure what, he doesn't care either.
Number 16 isn't dying fast enough. If he wants to life he shouldn't take to long with this kill. Maybe he should just breaks his neck instead. Bringing his other hand up to execute more force he tries to deliver the final blow.
He grits his teeth as an unexpected pain shoots trough him. He feels like he's been kicked in the guts, but he had cut this guy's legs of long ago he shouldn't be able to. He almost loses his grip on the man below him when he feels the sharp pain of being electrocuted. He was sure he knew all of his opponents martial art styles, he studied them thoroughly. Did he make a mistake? Was this a trick? Where they looking for flaws? Was he gonna die? Was this just an excuse to get rid of him? He tries to fight the panic but the situation doesn't make sense.
He doesn't understand, where is the lightning coming from? He looks around best he can but he sees nothing. Except.. Things are off they aren't as they should be, is this an illusion? Where was he? What was happening? Okay, stay calm, think carefully. He looks back at number 16 still in his grasp, clawing at the hands choking him, neck bend almost enough to snap but it wouldn't butch. He looked at the 16’s eyes, he always avoids doing so, afraid of seeing the emotion there and gaining more himself. Afraid of seeing the life dim from their eyes, he may be in the bloodcult but he doesn't enjoy the suffering of others, he does what he has to survive, nothing more.
What he sees there is something he doesn't expect. It isn't hate or disgust or greed or anything he'd come to expect. They were looking at him as if knowing him. As if this person cares for him. He looks away again, those eyes are making him feel things he shouldn't. If he starts feeling those emotions, he'll be punished again. He couldn't feel those things, to distract himself he focuses on breaking his neck again. He applies more pressure to push past the point of resistance
He doesn't flinch as he is kicked by phantom feet or electrocuted by inexistent qi. He doesn't flinch when hands push at him. He needs to do this, it is kill or be killed. He looks at the man's face one last time. He didn't know why but the gold eyes desperately looking at him, screaming at him to please stop made him hesitate, his grip loosening slightly. But it was enough for the man below him to draw in air.
"WAKE UP"
When Suryong first pushed him to the ground he was berating himself for getting one upped by a sleeping man again. He stopped when his breathing was cut off. He glared at Suryong, even if Suryong couldn't see it right now he hoped he would feel it.
What he saw unsettled him, Suryong was shaking. His movements were steady and sure but there was an unmistakable tremor in them as he stood over Su. Looking at his eyes he was not prepared to see the raw desperation of a dying man with nothing to lose combined with the pure fear of a child who lost everything. Whatever nightmare Suryong was currently having it was a bad one. No, this wasn't a nightmare, this was a memory.
The concern he now felt however wouldn't do anything for the pressure on his lungs as he went longer and longer without air. He tries to break out but doesn't hurt Suryong. Whatever is happening in his head, he doesn't need to add on to it.
That sentiment is out the window when Suryong applies more pressure to break his neck. He fights more desperately now. Kicking and using his qi to try and wake Suryong up. It works somewhat, he pauses and that's something. But his neck is still bend awkwardly. He looks up at Suryong to see if maybe he is waking up. What he doesn't expect is for Suryong to look back at him. Or at whoever he thinks he's choking. Whatever he sees in his eyes it scares him apparently because he looks away almost immediately.
He can hear Suryong's breathing start to pick up. Please don't have a panick attack, it's gonna help no one if neither of is can breath. It takes a few moments but Suryong's breathing eventually evens again. Instead of letting go or loosening like he'd hoped, Suryong instead tightened his grip, applying more pressure to break his neck. Su fights back as much as he can but it isn't quite enough, not when he hasn't been able to breath for the past minutes.
He looks up it him willing him to look back at him, really look at him, not whoever he is dreaming about. And Suryong looks at him, he watches as something in his eyes changes. The pressure on his throat loosened slightly, but is was enough. Enough for him to breath. Suryong wouldn't flinch at physical attacks but he had always been sensitive to sound. So yells. Yells at loud as he can for Suryong to wake up.
"WAKE UP"
Suryong's entire body went rigged the moment he heard Su scream. His eyes widened as he realized what he was doing. He scrambled back with multiple apologies. Stopping a few meters away as he sat, staring at the ground.
Su was coughing now, breathing heavily to steady his breath. When he finally calmed down his breathing he looked back at Suryong. Suryong was sitting on the ground breathing heavily and unsteady, trembling and his eyes unfocused. It was clear he still wasn't here completely, but at least he was awake.
He didn't approach him yet. The memory of being so helplessly at some else's mercy still to fresh. Touching his neck where Suryong had gripped him he winced at the raw skin, that was gonna bruise. He wasn't sure how to cover for Suryong when the evidence was so clearly displayed on his body.
That was a problem for tomorrow though, right now he needed Suryong out of where ever he was.
"Are you okay?"
Suryong looked up at him it took some time but he eventually seemed to process the world around him. He laughed bitterly. "I'm not sure you should be the one asking that.”
"Maybe, but are you?"
Suryong took a shaky breath to calm himself. It didn't work but it helped with putting up a decent facade. "I'll be fine." He got up and glanced at Su.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm alive." Very low bar for fighting a sleeping man, but it's Suryong so that doesn't count.
Slowly Suryong got up. He wasn't physically hurt so if he could calm his breathing he should be fine. Su however was still sitting on the ground, the bruises on his neck now clearly displaying what had happened.
"Do you need help with that?"
Su sighed heavily before answering. "If you have something that could heal the bruises by morning it would be appreciated."
"I do." Su looked up at him. He wasn't sure if he should be surprised or not.
He got up unsteadily, using Suryong for balance until his body figured out how to stand up straight again.
As they made their way in towards Suryong's home, neither said much. Suryong didn't tell and Su didn't ask. Maybe someday he would learn what it was that caused such a severe nightmare but not now.
The next day it seemed as if nothing had happened the night before. The bruises were gone and Suryong was acting like his usual self. It made him wonder, was Suryong ever truly okay? Or did he not know what it meant to be okay?
After this Suryong's sleeping robes gain an extra warning. Over the years Suryong's sleeping robe gains more warnings. It becomes a running joke among the locals, they warn visitors not to approach carelessly and find entertainment in the stubborn few who refuse to listen and get their ass handed to them by a sleeping man.

Hi hi hii!! It’s me again!!! I started wondering, how would the characters in Best Teacher Baek be in a beach day. Here’s my opinion: (sorry that this is long, also I’m using the names that appear in the webtoon, so sorry if you get confused on who I’m talking about😭)
[Lifeguards: Su Namgoong, Jun Dokgo]
As the Student Council President, I feel like Jun would rather watch and make sure that nobody is drowning nor fighting.
While on the other hand Su would be most likely watching over Suryong. It’s not because he doesn’t trust him and his ability to keep himself safe and others safe, it’s just because he doesn’t trust his way of doing stuff. But even with 10 people watching over him, he somehow manages to slip away and cause some commotion.
[Sandcastle Competition: Gang Heonwon, Cheon Wiji, Hyeok Yasu]
Cheon was just minding his business and making a sand castle when suddenly someone walked by and saw his sandcastle and they were praising him.
Gang and Hyeok overheard and they were like “we can do that too” and then that started the sandcastle competition. I’ll let you decided on who won
[Tanning: Yeomin, Iran Yu, Soyoung Jaegal]
I imagine Yeomin and Iran to be good friends so I see them both chatting while lying down.
Iran hates how people gave her the title of The Sword Flower merely because of her looks.
Many people stay away from Yeomin due to the rumor that she was the thief behind several instances of theft in the girls dormitory. They’re very different but so similar at the same time that I can’t help but imagine them as friends.
Su has my girl Soyoung OVERWORKED. She needs a good rest🙏
[Walking Around: Geukryeom Mae, Soso Dang]
As the Head Supervisor, it’s Geukryeom’s duty to make sure everything is going well and is totally not giving threatening looks to students of the opposite gender that are getting too close to each other.
As the Vice President of the Student Council, it’s also Soso’s duty to make sure everything is going smoothly and is totally not walking around just to be able to look at Suryong in a bathing suit(I would do the same)
[Grill Duty: ILO Myeong, Sang-Ung Geo]
(ILO is capitalized cus it looks word as Ilo) When I first saw ILO I thought, “he can definitely cook” therefore he’s on grill duty making all the food. (He gets possessive over his grill, nobody is allowed to cook on it except for himself )
Sang-Ung provided the food, and I don’t mean a few cheap ingredients. I’m talking about a massive amount of expensive ingredients.
[Surfing/swimming: Yeonho Ak, Muheun Baek, Suryong Baek]
I’m fully convinced that Muheun can surf like a pro, you can’t tell me otherwise. Just look at him.
Yeonho is mostly swimming, he went to Muheun for some surfing tips but he still hasn’t got the hang of it. But he can swim for a long time
Suryong spent some time with his dad but then disappeared for like a few hours. Nobody knew where he went but he came back unharmed with a faint smell of blood and smoke.
This is my opinion on how the characters would be on a beach day! (Haven’t read the novel so some characters might be ooc😭)
Hello again!! I absolutely love this idea so much!!
For the sand castle competition I'm not sure who would win. I feel like Kang would either be pretty good at it or absolutely suck. So Cheon would be decent it looks nice but it isn't spectacular. Yasu I think wouldn't be very good at it. Very bad at it even.
Let's say Kang won. He'd be boisterous about it so much so that he wouldn't notice Yasu slipping away with a bucket...
He noticed when he got drenched. This ultimately resulted into a full water fight with the other students getting dragged in.
If the water fight happened before Suryong disappearance he would have dragged the teachers into the fight as well.
As for the tanning I feel like it would indeed be those three but not for the entire day Yu would try to tan but joined the boys in their sand building competition later on because 'she got got bored'.
Yeomin would be chilling in the water for some time before finding a parasol to sit under as I feel like she would be the type to burn instead of tan. After some time Yu joins her but she stays in the sun to tan.
As for Jeagal she would tan for most of the time. Getting up to grab some food or water, or to try to find a certain missing blue eyed trouble causing fellow.
Speaking of Suryong he disappeared for those few hours 'because he was helping a friend' When he did come back he did so by tackling Su into the water. So his return was announced with the following dialogue.
"SURYO-"
*SPLASH*
