Just a reminder to all the hamastans out there, the Houthi movement are ruling as theocrats and have re-instated slavery. They are not your blorbos. And another reminder to the sane people of the world that just because the Republic of Yemen is better than the Houthis doesn't mean they're the "good guys." It means they're the less-bad guys: the Kuomintang to the Houthis' Mao Zedong, the Vietnam-backed Cambodian communists to the Houthis' Khmer Rouge. They're a dictatorship with a shitty human rights record, but at least they've formally banned slavery.

Please realize the seriousness of protesting

It is a form of direct action that also takes many physical forms. You can lose your livelihoods protesting through expulsion and arrests. There are currently civil rights protesters that are still in jail to this very day, over the actions they took to get us here. This shouldn't deter you though, cover up and don't talk to the police. Practice and use de-arrest methods when available. Rely on your community and keep fighting, the same methods that were used back then might not be effective today, study your roots and act accordingly.

Houthi’s who hate Israel because they are Jewish, because one of the core ideologies of the Houthis is “curse upon the Jews”, have been attacking ships in the Red Sea indiscriminately, on the basis that they might be heading to Israel. The Red Sea has been an important trade route area for a fucking lot of the world, including food and health items. Just… anything that countries need to trade. It affects the entire world's economy.

Yemen has been in (another) civil war since 2014, caused by the Houthi forces taking over the Yemen capital, followed by the whole government.
