I had this idea in mind since I want to get into H.U.B. and Hyosun is grabbing my attention constantly: her S/O can't get over how fluffy her hair is sometimes and keeps patting her head, admiring her, etc. Hyosun is getting a little annoyed and decides to do something with her short hair. Hyosun loved you, she really did. But you had this habit that was just so annoying that she couldn’t help wanting to do something about it.

“But babe, I love your hair,” you said, moving past her hands trying to block you and reaching to pat her fluffy black hair. The two of you were standing in the kitchen, where she was trying to finish making herself some tea, only to be ambushed by you. “Let me play with it!”

“Do I look like a puppy to be petted to you?” She said, swatting away your hand, and the mischievous smile on your face made her wish she’d never asked.

“Absolutely. A cute little fluffy, tsundere puppy.”

“I miss the days when you were intimidated by me.”

“Anyone who gets to know you can’t be intimidated by you, you’re a puppy, sorry,” you said, grinning and patting her head one more time to get a little groan out of her. “You’re just so easy to tease, I can’t help it!”

“Why did I decide to date you again?” She huffed, shaking her head and turning back to her tea. But there was a bit of a smile on her face, and she knew you knew she wasn’t actually mad, because you laughed and wrapped your arms loosely around her.

“Because you love me and I love you,” you cooed, resting your chin on her shoulder, and she rolled her eyes, flicking your arm. She did it gently, but you still yelped in surprise.

“There. Payback, baby,” she said, turning to you with a grin, and you stuck out your tongue at her.

“Like you don’t tease me all the time too! Your hair is soft, you like it when I play with it in bed, or when you’re sleepy!” Her cheeks flushed and she looked away, and even though she wasn’t looking at you, she knew you were grinning again.

“That’s different.”

“How so?”

“It just is, you brat,” she said, picking up her tea and huffing. “Keep pushing it and I’ll leave instead of cuddling with you while we watch this movie.” Your eyebrows went up, and she reveled in your defeated pout as you pulled away.

“You don’t have to pull out the big guns. You’re so tsundere.”

“I still don’t know what that means,” she said, slipping past you towards the living room and grinning when you yelled “yes you do!” after her. She did know, she just liked pretending she didn’t. If she was going to be called tsundere, she might as well commit, right? “Come on, are we going to watch this movie or not?”

“Coming, coming!”

It was that night that the idea struck her. It was a wonderful, amazing idea, and Hyosun grinned into the mirror. She was totally going to do it. She just needed a little help from her friends.

“You want to what?” Rui was looking at her like she was insane, but there was a little twinkle in her eye that Hyosun recognized. She was in.

“I want to shave my head.”

“You’re insane, Hyosun,” Yehin said, grinning widely. “You should do it.”

“Can I ask why you’re shaving your head?” Seoryeong asked, looking much more apprehensive than the other girls.

“You didn’t break up with (Y/N), right?” Chehee said suddenly, turning to look at Hyosun. Quickly, she shook her head.

“No! No, but it does have something to do with them. They really like to tease me by playing with my hair, right? So I was curious what would happen if I came home with my head shaved. Also I’ve been wanting to try something new with my hair, so I might as well.”

“You’re going to look so cool,” Yehin said, clapping her hands, and Rui leaned forward, a gleam in her eyes and a grin on her lips.

“I know somewhere we can get it done. As long as you’re okay with things getting a little weird.”

Hyosun grinned back, reaching over to give the other girl a high-five. “Let’s do it, then.”

- When Rui had said weird, she’d meant it. Hyosun walked out of the hair salon feeling a little dizzy from the fumes of hairspray and dye, with her hair shaved close to her head and what was left of it dyed all the colors of the rainbow.

“You look amazing,” Yehin exclaimed, almost buzzing with excitement as she pulled out her phone, moving in to take a selfie with her. “I wanna do something weird with my hair, too!”

“Didn’t you just dye it purple in there?” Rui asked, grinning proudly with her hands in her pockets. “Hyosun, how do you like your new look?”

Gingerly, Hyosun touched her head, still unused to the feeling of the buzzed haircut. It felt cool, though, and she’d liked how she looked in the mirror. “It’s different, but it’s cool. I like it.”

“Good,” Rui said, grinning as the girls began to walk back down the road. “How do you think (Y/N) is going to react?”

“They’re going to be so shocked.” Just the thought of the look on your face made Hyosun laugh softly, once again rubbing her head. “I’m not sure what they’ll say though.”

“You should head home now, then. I’m curious,” Yehin said, and Hyosun rolled her eyes.

“Why are you so invested in this?”

“Just because! Anyway, it’s getting late. Go, go, go!”

“I’m going, I’m going!” Hyosun stepped up the road and turned around to look at her friends, giving them a grin. “Thanks for all your help!” At her words, Yehin gave her two thumbs-up and Rui blew her a kiss, and she rolled her eyes as she headed home. She couldn’t wait to see you.

When she got home, she opened the door to the smell of food and the sound of you singing softly along to the song on the radio, and she stalled for a moment just inside, smiling. She really did love coming home to you. As she kicked off her shoes, she ran her hand over her hair one last time and cleared her throat.

“(Y/N), love, I’m home!” Your singing stopped and the radio turned down.

“Where were you? I was getting worried that you wouldn’t be home in time for dinner, especially since we agreed that it was my turn to cook,” you called, obviously still too busy at the stove, and Hyosun grinned, feeling giddy as she stepped into the kitchen.

“I was out with the girls, I thought I sent you a text?”

“I’ve been too busy to look at my texts, I-.” You stopped in your tracks when you turned to look at her, mouth dropping open. “Oh my god, what did you do with your hair?”

“I wanted to do something new and Rui said she knew this cool place where she gets her hair done so we went. Yehin’s hair is purple now, by the way.” You stood frozen for a few minutes, just staring at her head, before your mouth began to curve up at the sides and you let out a little laugh.

“It suits you somehow. But all your soft hair! It’s almost gone!”

She stuck out her tongue at you as she sauntered up to the counter beside you, glowing in her victory. “I got tired of you petting me, so now it’s gone. What are you going to pet now?”

You gasped and gently shoved her shoulder. “Is that really why you did it?”

“Well, that and I wanted a new hairstyle. Plus, I look super cool now.”

“You look even more intimidating than before. Children are going to run from us when we go grocery shopping. We’ll never have people sit near us again,” you said, a slow smile creeping onto your lips. “You’re crazy, you know that?”

“I’m the female monster,” she sang, imitating Hyuna’s voice and doing the Crazy dance move, making you laugh. “You like it though, right?”

“I actually do. Leave it to Rui to take you to a place where they dye your hair like that. You look hot.”

She smirked and raised her eyebrows, biting her lip it a way that she knew made her look hot, and you flushed slightly, looking away. “Do I intimidate you again, babe?”

“Nope. Not at all.”

“Oh, really? Look at me and say that.”

You raised your chin and looked at her, still slightly flushed but smiling. “You don’t intimidate me, you’re still a tsundere puppy.” Her nose wrinkled at the nickname, turning her right back into the cute girl you knew, and you laughed. “You know I can still pet you like this, right?” You said as you reached up to touch her hair. This time, she let you, watching as your eyes widened at the feeling. “Woah, that’s different.”

“Right? No more soft and fluffy,” she said, triumphant once again, and you rolled your eyes.

“Now instead of a fluffy puppy, you’re a short-hair.”

“Babe, please stop comparing me to animals,” she said, wrinkling her nose up again and reaching up to grab your hand, threading her fingers through yours.

“Okay, fine,” you said with a little sigh, going back to your cooking. “But I will say that I still like the way it looks on you.” She visibly brightened, eyes widening.

“Really? I look cool, right?”

“You do. I’m totally going to post a photo to make everyone jealous of my hot, punk girlfriend.” As you spoke, you finished your cooking and pulled your hand away from Hyosun’s to turn off the stove, and her stomach grumbled.

“Can we do that after we eat, though?” She asked, voice small, and you laughed once again, turning to give her a quick kiss on the cheek that made her flush.

“You know, no matter how short you cut your hair or how intimidating you look, you’ll always be cute to me.”

“Babe,” she whined, flushed as she touched her cheek.

“What? I love both your intimidating side and your cute side.” She tried to hide her smile, but it broke through anyway, so she just let out a laugh and bumped her hip against yours.

“And I love you even though you’re annoying.”

“Annoying? I’m not annoying!”

“And I’m not cute,” she said, making you huff and shake your head.

“I’m about to not give you any of this dinner.” There was a playful lilt to your voice, so she knew you weren’t actually mad. She also knew you liked the haircut, because you kept looking at her head. So she just grinned and wrapped her arms around your waist.

“You love me,” she said, lips playing at the back of your neck, and you let out a content sigh, cheeks still flushed, turning around in her arms to press your lips against hers.

“Yeah, I do. Even if you cut your hair just to play with me.”

“Good, because I love you even though you insist on comparing me to animals.” You let out a little chuckle, and her lips met yours, dinner all but forgotten as she pushed you up against the counter, feeling proud as you melted in her arms and kissed her back with a newfound fervor. Yeah, this haircut had been a great idea.
