I also must confess to completely insane behaviour: I have no taste in music in the sense that I will listen to any genre, and 90% of what I listen to is actually fic-related playlists, which I construct purely based on vibes and themes. I prefer to write in total silence but the playlists help me brainstorm and visualize scenes and as a result, I tend to listen to them constantly on loop when I'm working on a specific fic. since I will listen to any genre of music, the sound of the playlists varies pretty wildly between fics; for instance, the playlist for night flower heavily featured, well, night flower by ahn yeeun. conversely, the playlist for zero-sum game was a lot of ari abdul. I cannot stress enough that for like three weeks straight I was listening only to ari abdul for this one exhibitionist porn fic about objectification. it really is crazy in my brain 😭
