Chuuya only laughs more, tilting his husband’s chin up and pressing a kiss to his lips. “As his majesty wishes.” He teases.

The brunette huffs, and then pulls Chuuya into another kiss, longer, more passionate.

They both eventually pull away, resting their foreheads together.

“What was that for?” Chuuya asks breathlessly.

“You just looked very kissable.” Dazai remarks, a smirk coming to his face as he shifts to his knees.

Casually turning a blind eye to what happened at the end of BEAST to say what if Chuuya had conveniently been on the ground by the building where Dazai fell and caught him. And they just walked off like that. Dazai in Chuuya's arms into the sunset.

But also Chuuya lovingly calls Dazai a fucking idiot for giving him the (quite literally) scare of his lifetime. His pulse raced just a bit there, and he also refuses to let go despite Dazai protesting and squirming trying to get out of Chuuya's grip. In that moment, however fleeting, Dazai acts like Dazai and not like the Port Mafia boss.

I remember writing literal essays on how lukewarm at best and arguably indifferent Atsushi's reaction to Akutagawa's death was for how it was shown to us, and now we got an equally lukewarm and indifferent Akutagawa reaction upon seeing Atsushi dying, which is kinda funny.
