ok so basically how all of this got started is my partner was watching a youtuber review a shitty dark academia romance book, and in listening i got incensed and was like dude i can definitely write something better than that! and then, very similarly to donut wip i ended up making a wip (who’s mc i really didn’t like at first and tbh i still don’t really like len like i wouldn’t be friends with her she annoys me. but i think she grows up ok lmao i mean she has to pff) and managed to make something that kind of interests me enough to try writing.

and i also wanted an excuse to try out the snowflake method of story writing/planning cuz i saw it floating around and tbh why not? why not just do a thing lol. but anyway! haha have an actual summary. like, a real one lmao:

Lennon Rhapsody Granger (17) is sent to a private prep institute for troubled youth after she gets expelled from school for the fifth time. There, she meets and becomes romantically involved with bad boy heartthrob Aurora O’Rion (18). Aurora is a lackey of a group called The Centurion, who do not take kindly to outsiders being so close to their secrets. Aurora is ordered to kill Lennon, and nearly succeeds—but foregoes the final blow to try and save her life. He hides Lennon with his best friend Morrigan (18), who works for the same organization, and together they try to get a presumed-dead Lennon away from The Centurion before they discover that she’s still alive.

and so like aside from the summary, have a “gist of” explanation lmao

basically the things that i’m drawing from with this wip (nicknamed gofficka LMAO) is

dark academia (it’s set at a prep school, there’s the usual tropes of secret societies, bad boy love interests etc)

gothic romance (the twisted romance angle)

the YA genre (this story is very unintentionally inspired by twilight 💀)

erotica (bc why not)

however some notes on that. firstly being, in YA romance similar to twilight, the mc girl character is supposed to be a self insert for the reader and i want to start the story giving it that vibe, however about halfway through when the Big Shift happens, i’m gonna be veering down a road where 1. len very obviously has her own personality 2. she’s not really a good person (bc a lot of these mcs, BELLA ESPECIALLY, are very shite tbh but everyone regards them as some perfect angel somehow? don’t get it) and most importantly 3. she’s going to be called out on that. especially by morrigan lmao.

also, the “love triangle” (it’s really a love angle but whatever) in these stories is usually centered around the main girl and len has the same assumption too, however it’s revealed that the love angle’s central spoke is around aurora, not len. morrigan is gay, and tbh he’s my lowkey favorite pfff but aurora and len are growing on me. anyway tho he provides a shock of clarity for the narrative, imo—that wanting to love and forcing it isn’t what love is (to me). that there’s more to it than just being attracted to someone, which tbh a lot of YAs just kind of think is close enough. there’s no real chemistry and no attempt to show the complexities of actually genuinely loving someone. sO yeah.

also, the bad boy, aurora? he’s actually bad lol. he almost kills len pff and len having and dealing with ptsd surrounding that situation is also a thing. him being put into a position where most YAs would have him chose the love interest i decided to make him choose something else. because a new love isn’t going to be that strong and that’s the whole point to me??? that love alone isn’t going to solve all these crazy problems. it can contribute to fixing them and becoming strong but idk everything is more complex than that.

i have a lot of feelings about the complexities of romantic love and i hate when it’s cheap so i’m gonna make it. uhhhh not that.

but anyway the actual organization isn’t the point of this story. my brain WANTS me to make a sequel after this book just so i can explore the three of them in a pretty properly functioning polycule where there’s spokes and not full angles but we’ll have to see pffff

Carrot is only two years younger than him, so maybe they can have a kouhai/senpai dynamic, but do you think Chopper would like rabbit minks? Oda said he’s only really interested in other reindeer, since he’s one himself, but let’s say he also likes other mink animals.

Mink dating is probably really complicated, because with so many different kinds of animals, many are going to have specific preferences. Like a dog mink who’s not attracted to humans but thinks fox minks are super hot.

Speaking of which, does Bepo find other minks hot? Or is he exclusively humansexual?

Yeah i think that Chopper would be kinda like Bepo at first in terms of assuming he can only go for same species animal (compulsive speciism) and they are too unhorny to consider alternatives lol

Abt Carrot im noooot gonna lie to you i dont really know her personality because i was mad that she had 3000000% more screen time and emotional than the miniscule crumbs Bepo got (see my rants about us never seeing Bepo find out Zepo is dead/not fighting anywhere in Wano/onigashima) so i dont actually know her so im going off of assumptions here:

wouldnt she undermine him despite him being older and lowkey genius (doctor!!) so theres potential for him to be upset-turn-angry cuz he would be interested in making a mink friend but she is oblivious and keeps accidentally acting rude to him....thats all that comes to mind im sorry if its inaccurate/too negative

(tbf past TS choppers personality also got removed idk what he is besides Cute and scared at this point)

As for Bepo's sexuality i think that just like in canon he wants to meet a female bear but if he did it would be underwhelming beyond physical reaction..cuz i think he would have a very Natural Adult Male tm reaction from Finally meeting one - he would go a little crazy and if she is willing she can take charge and snatch the cutie for the night...but then a moment comes where Bepo realizes the void that this stranger is and it doesnt feel like "wow thats a person with a personality and her own rich life" no he hates not knowing her it feels too unsafe and he has no desire to change it - logically he doesnt have time - i think it would shock him that he is even in bed with her with how much he longs to return to status quo (being captain's little girl)

he is not humansexual per say - he doesnt care about humans at large - its just law have been the center of his universe his whole conscious life (and he fucks him so good it scrambles Bepo's brains)

thats how in my head Bepo's foray into other people would go

Hi everyone!

It's been a while, hasn't it?

For some of you, this may be the first time you've actually seen me on your feed since I'm on my annual hiatus so... Hi! I'm Seirin, your friendly skeleton lover and author of The Missing Scarf, that one Undertale comic (o´▽`o)

If you were not aware, this blog is usually only active in the summer and/or during the holidays as I'm a student, but I figured I should still write a little smth as I really haven't given any news for a long while now.

So, um, this blog is still very much alive, and so is TMS!   DEMON AU TOO

Truth is, I didn't anticipate back in September the sheer amount of work I'd have to pull off this year as well as the crazy schedule, house mouves, and many, many group assignements... I've always managed but this year is just rough, both physically and mentally (that was new). I had a serious slump around new year and didn't even have the motivation to draw or open social medias for a while. 

But you know me, always ranting that health comes first and that I’ve seen enough burned out artists to know not to go beyond my limits. (*￣▽￣)b  So knowing that I had this 30 pages+ lore doc, unfinished sketches and pile of unanswered asks just waiting for me whenever I wanted to work on TMS, I knew I wasn’t up for the task and had to put it off for later. And later. Again and again. 

That's about it for the venting section.

As of today, I'm still short of time but I've got some of my energy back, enough to write this anyway. But also *drum roll* to work on the next part of TMS! 

And this is where the real announcement comes in: while I'm still on hiatus, I'm planning to adjust the publication schedule a bit for this part. Until now, I'd post a chapter (1 page per day) only after I finished drawing it in its entirety. For this part however, I've decided to try a monthly (or bi-monthly) publication, to give me some leeway, and for you to have actual updates.

We'll see if I can keep up with this pace, but it seems much more satisfying for everyone  ( ´ ▿ ` )

So there you go. Sorry again to those who kept sending me Asks and dms I never got to answer. I just kinda turn into a hermit when overwhelmed or don’t notice them at all (I feel extra bad when I eventually do but every drop of energy needs to be salvaged for irl emergency), but I really appreciate the thought! Some musings on how the Aware AU might be best structured as a story and like:

Prologue would presumably be the party. So Adrien & Chloe have already started shifts in behavior that will be contextualized for the audience alongside other characters and flashbacks.

This is because it lets one introduce all three abused kids & Marinette and justify the Marinette/Kagami relationship.

This would likely be followed with Origins, but with the aforementioned Adrien in class, desk squabble, Nino biting the bullet but being intrigued ETC.

But there could be an interlude with Kagami contacting Chloe & Adrien secretly to be like, "Please tell my mother I made a good impression on you so she'll let me go to school here, I just made my first friend." & are instantly like, "Oh she's just like Adrien/me for real" and help her out, thus absorbing her into their duo making a trio.

The above however could be covered in a flashback.

Marinette is bamboozled how they know her Kagami & they are shocked Marinette is the friend she wanted so badly. Well Adrien is, Chloe is probably mentally sulking about how easy it is for Marinette to make friends. But Kagami likely explains what she can & things move on.

Anyway, if there are shifts in Miraculous or numbers then they'd happen, her but the prologue & Origins would be used to establish the status quo for the story going forward.

After which I imagine it can basically be broken up into a sort of "Era of understanding" IE, how little or how much does Marinette understand of their situation & how much do they understand themselves?

Nino would be useful as the sort of intermediary person whose ahead of the curve but between two parties.

But yeah, first half of season is no understanding, then Nino understanding, with the season 1 finale, serving to not bring about total understanding but definitely break some barriers.

IE, Marinette is likely at least at a stage where she thinks Chloe & Adrien's parents aren't very good at being parents, but not that they are actively abusive. So the dynamic cools a bit but remains easily ignited.

Season 2 would likely then build up to the full revelation and confrontations as barriers break. With Lila also being worked into the trio to make a quartet, much against her will, and Kagami's breaking moment probably being the big "Oh fuck" moment for everyone pre Heroes Day.

(Though gods if it continued and Kagami could be the Chat Noir)

But yeah I feel like that gives a loose but generalized shift that meshes well enough with the characters and time allowing for growth.

First season is all awkward growing pains, fumbles and such, while season 2 is once everyone's shifted into a stable if not perfect dynamic that can finally allow the main stage of self awareness to be reached.

This was way more organized my head, sorry.

(K first of all: Mood. My train of thought is really eloquent, until it has to change rails so other people can see it)

This all sounds good! It sort of reminds me of a rant I went on a bit ago, about how to do Senti-Adrien even if they only thought of it late. You don’t backtrack to have it make sense, you have characters commenting on the changes.

Like, the Senti-Thing, I said just have it that Adrien's already shedding his programming, already becoming a Real Boy(tm), so don’t have him suddenly be obedient. Have Gabriel come to the REALIZATION that his son is no longer obedient, and have flashbacks backing up how Adrien USED to be. (If you wanna find the rant, search @princess-of-the-corner blog's submission tag, it'll be far down, but it’s honestly faster than trying to find it on my blog. Please note there are two, one serious, one comedy)

But yeah, similar thing here! Have the party establish their "new" behaviour by everyone commenting on how weird it is, and showing flashbacks. I might have a specific scene where we see the inciting incident for Adrien and Chloé. Like, don't make it long, don’t give context, just a quick taste of the fact SOMETHING happened. Maybe a scene from Chloé comforting Adrien after Emilie disappears?

Another thing that might help/hinder Marinette would be Alya. Or, like, maybe to help show contrast with Nino? Cause, I think you said it before, Alya's kind of living out her tropes right now. She's the best friend of the Nice Girl[tm], Chloé's obvious the Popular Mean Girl [tm]. Alya would agree with Marinette that Chloé is a brat who needs to be taken down a peg. Meanwhile Nino, who has been in the same class as these two since diapers, is a bit more mellowed out. He isn’t seeing tropes, he's seeing people. Like, he has no clue what's going on, but he knows it’s more complicated than "Rich Bitch Spoiled Princess". Actually, I might have that be what kills Nino's crush on Marinette. Like, he still likes her fine. They're still friends. But Marinette's initial inability to see Chloé as anything but a bully and Spoiled brat, and how it’s colouring her perception of Adrien, might cause Nino to lose his infatuation with Marinette. Like, if I had a crush on someone, and they refused to believe that one of my friends might be abused, I would stop liking them real quick.

have you ever started reading a book like "hey this could be a really cool premise" but get halfway through and you're like. I hate it.

prepare to read a stupid rant of mine if you proceed, i complain rather transparently under the cut

i understand why some people would like it, but i just don't like the innocent x troubled trope when it masquerades as completely healthy and Normal (TM). Maybe i've lost my touch with dark romance but fuck, this isn't even a slightly dark romance book.

on top of that, the "troubled" one has like yk issues with her parents, and she has a father figure (in place of her bio father). Who fucking abuses her. Kinda... like her father. And she basically says "oh well he does it because he cares and he's put time and money into helping me." *proceeds to explain scene where he emotionally manipulates her then gives her a hug and in her thoughts she thinks "i love him" and he basically forces her to say i'm sorry, even tho she legit just stood there.* can you see why i'm kinda done with this??

That was the first thing that pissed me the fuck off. I haven't read the whole book, so i don't know if she comes to her senses or what. But the romance just isn't all that either. The main guy is basically deluding himself into thinking he's in a relationship with this girl even though they "could never be" because of whatever reasons they've made up in their heads (because they "care too much for each other" whatever the fuck that means). And it's so fucking annoying that i'm 150 pages in and neither of these bitches have grown a spine. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. Literally the only notable thing was the second to last chapter i read. There's no plot, no stakes, it's just "oh she's so sexy and helps me with my panic attacks" and "oh he's so sexy and vulnerable with me and i need to forget about all my problems by having some dick shoved in me.. even if he's explained to me a million times that he doesn't do hookups and feels uncomfortable when he does."

And of course half the book is her looking straight at the camera and going "people judge me when i sleep around but when [other character who sleeps around] does it he gets praised? I call bullshit." Which yeah, fine thing to think, I also think it's fucked that that's the case. But have some fucking subtlety, show it with an interaction instead of her just pouting and stomping her foot and going "but that's unfair!"

can you tell i find her absolutely insufferable.

i liked the book originally; one of the good things about it is that there're a good ~130 pages of build up before the first sex scene. The only problem is that 1) it's a mediocre scene with, frankly, juvenile language and boring description and 2) Literally Nothing Happened In Those 130 Pages. Literally nothing.

like i get that the guy mc has major fucking anxiety and that needs to be explained but c'monnnn. Find a way to waste less of my time pls and thx.

i heard people saying that "the writing is fast-paced," in this book and like??? Where??? Definitely not the three hours i spent reading it.

And even then, the plot is very very flimsy. Just before the first sex scene is when the plot Finally forwards itself, and one of the characters asks the really relevant question of "why?" Said question goes unanswered and the author then attempts to distract you with a sex scene.

i get that these books are meant to be leisure reads that get popular on booktok or whatever but c'mon at least put some lil plot bits in there for those of us who're into those. God. Fucking insufferable.

there's also the long running theme of feminism but as in "girls should be able to do the bad shit guys do and get away with it like they do" rather than, uh, that said bad shit shouldn't be happenin period? (This is not me referring to hooking up, who gives a fuck, but it's said abt multiple things throughout the novel. Idk it pisses me off.)

the whole reason i wrote this was because another smut scene started and quite honestly i got bored as fuck. I'm not one to skip scenes but fuck i don't particularly want to read abt her manipulative ass sucking his cock after basically forcing him into a depressive spiral thank you very much.

(yes yes i've become weak-minded, but i only really like dark romance that goes fucking deep into it not this dabbling-but-too-scared-to-actually-make-it-dark bullshit.)

SECOND OF ALL thats not a weird question at all thats a FANTASTIC question and i actually have a lot of Thoughts(tm) about it which i am VERY glad to share (coincidentally i did hold like a lil mini rant about max's clothing in glitch to eby a few days ago lmao)

THE LONG ANSWER is below a read more because this 1) got completely away from me and 2) actually contains spoilers for chapter three

so there's a line in the second paragraph of the first chapter that actually references the sweater ("He sniffs the sweater he’s wearing, pulls a face, and then gets off the couch and heads into the bedroom to find a clean one.") later in that same chapter it's referenced how he doesn't know much about fashion, and it's kind of implied he doesn't really care either

which gets confirmed in the opening scene of chapter three, which is literally max getting ready for his date, wearing like jeans and a t-shirt and daniel going "ABSOLUTELY NOT" and rooting through his closet for something nicer for him to wear lmao

Max stares down at his clothes. He’s wearing a pair of his nicest jeans, and a gray t-shirt one of his hook ups once told him makes his arms look really nice. “What’s wrong with this?” He asks, confused.

Daniel stops throwing clothing on the bed and sends Max a look. “Max. Maxy. Maxerino,” Daniel says, ignoring Max’s grumble of ‘I told you to stop calling me that’. “You’re going on a date with Charles Leclerc. And you’re wearing jeans and a t-shirt.”

“So?” Max asks, shrugging a little. “He’s still just a guy. What, do you want me to wear a suit just because he’s sort of famous? That’s ridiculous.”

also this snippet that i didn't want to deny you that happens much later and PERFECTLY describes max's fashion forward clothing style:

“Hi,” Charles says. “Sorry. Should’ve maybe started with that. You just look uh. Really hot.”

Max glances down at his t-shirt. It has the Excel logo on it, with ‘freak in the sheets’ written underneath. His sweatpants, he realizes to his great annoyance, have a hole in them. When he glances back up to Charles, he’s blushing.

“Shut up, apparently I’m into that whole rumpled nerd look, sue me.” Charles grouses, and Max laughs, leaning up to kiss him ever so softly.

never stated in the fic but that t-shirt was ABSOLUTELY a joke gift from either daniel or lando and max very much wears it unironically like this dude does just Not Care lmao

but yeah i hope that sort of answers the question?? max is very shrug emoji about his clothing in general, opting for comfort above all, so i'd say he wears a hoodie + jeans like 99% of the time unless he has something he knows he HAS to dress up for, like an official company thing

ALSO for the grid question: daniel, lando and max are the only non drivers in this universe and it takes place in the 2023 season so daniel wouldnt be on the grid anyway. idk who takes lando's seat but you do find out who takes max's seat and if you know me it's like. really not that hard to guess [side eyes my icon]. but that's really just a throw away mention and a fun little easter egg for me and eby. you won't really see much of the other drivers since it's mostly from max's pov :)

You would think this covers the answer "well, we listen to a bit of everything," but it does not, because we are extremely extremely particular over what kind of SOUNDS things make not necessarily in the music sense but if we can feel it and/or it's rhythms are just Wrong and/or if it's just More Basic Bullshit then we just Cannot listen to it.

And for anyone going "but you have Lady GaGa's song Telephone in here," well YEAH that's because she has consistently had a very unique sound every time we listen to her at all. Renovating is pretty exhausting so of course a lot of work means a lot of rest. There's many ways to do so such as sitting down with some tea and snacks, reading together or to each other, cuddling or watching movies; either way you spend this time together quite often 

speaking of movies, movie and show nights! At first at least there might be more of Casimir nerding over the technology than watching though /hj. Someone just please show this man the Beauty and the Beast. Or Transformers. First one is self explanatory, second one I just think would be funny. Also maybe Howls moving castle. That might be super far fetched but I think he'd like studio Ghibli. 

Bonding with Mimi! Casimir really wants to gain back her trust and having you be there calms him Mimi. Though it's better than it used to be already there's still some tension between them and you're definitely helping. You also get to spend time with both of them so that's definitely a win!

You cannot convince me this man doesn't go into hour long rants and rambles about his interests after you asked one simple question. He can get pretty lost in it once he started and tends to get a little embarrassed about it once he realises. Cmon, he was all by himself for multiple centuries, he's not used to people being around. You encouraging him to go on, asking questions or referencing things he told you later on means a lot to him. 

Of course it goes both ways, he absolutely loves listening to you talk, especially about things you're passionate about and will try to bring it up again later or engage in your hobbies with you together. He genuinely wants to know about you and your interests, for one he hasn't really heard from/about anyone else for a very long time (not counting cats and buildings) and also you're, of course he wants to hear everything you have to say

Okay okay okay this one's my personal favourite: hide and seek.​ I actually might write a whole own thing about that at some point soon because it'd just be so much fun!​ The house is quite big with super many hiding spaces. Now it's not something he'd suggest and yeah it might take some force persuasion to convince him but if you ask him really really nicely hell probably say yes, or just annoy him till he agrees (even more effective if Rainier joins). Alternatively just hide somewhere so he has no choice but to search (you definitely gave him a heart attack the first time you did that)

Casimir is old fashioned (I mean- how wouldn't he be) so your regular date nights are pretty classic. Usually it's a romantic dinner (brought to you by The House TM), sometimes it's dancing (like that one paid scene(? Is there one? Or am I mixing something up? Idk); he was taught to be a gentleman and he's gonna use that /hj

Bringing him modern things from shopping trips. It started off by you bringing him something he was curious about after you mentioned it and quickly developed into a habit of you bringing him trinkets whenever you're out. His curiosity makes you much more aware of how interesting even little thins can be and soon turned to you coming back from trips out the house with a bag of things like toys, gadgets and other fun things from the dollar store or similar. You then spend the day looking at what you brought, how it works and so on. Imagine spending the day with Casimir trying out a bunch of toys you bought or found with your old stuff (the type for children, don't think wrong here)

adding onto this because I love the idea of doing fun childish things with him (you'd have to be the one to initiate them though, potentially ‘force’ him, but he secretly enjoys it). Silly sleepovers with pillow forts, movies, teeny magazines (I want to just hand this guy a stack of these teen magazines and see what happens so bad), and snacks! 

related a bit to the one above but spa days! He definitely needs some more self care. I do kinda think he likes stuff as skincare and and used to have a routine (nobility and stuff) he likely had to cut short or even drop it completely with the house's hostility. But now you're there and not only are there so many products your world has for this, it's also much more fun together, leading to entire days planned only for spa and wellness activities (like doing each other's nails, I have a little theory connected to Casimir and acrylic nails but that's all I'm saying on that)

Sorry to unload Byler into your askbox but I am going *insane* with the concept of Mike knowing and understanding that he likes Will, even before the Big Reveal(tm) and the only reason that he hasn't acted on it is bc he has internalised some wild homophobia/self hatred and like maybe he also has some vague idea that Will is possibly queer and yeah it's fine if it's his friend and he will defend him until death but god forbid Mike is queer

No worries anon! I don't mind at all. I am actually going to go on a very long rant about this so buckle up. (Sorry everyone)

I think Mike's feelings revolving around Will are extremely complicated. I am wary of the idea that Mike knows and understands his feelings for Will directly. I think that the repression is real for Mike unfortunately.

That being said, I think that people's opinion's of Mike's behavior in season 3 and 4 being the way it was is because he's straight is completely wrong. If anything, it just proves to me more that he's queer. (I am a bi mike truther, and I think that having any positive bi representation is always a wonderful and a much needed thing, but in truth, I am not too attached to any, specific idea for him. Gay, bi, pan, unlabeled. It doesn't matter to me. He is queer lol) I do love the idea of him being bi, because I think it explains some of his back and forth and confusing behavior that we've seen from the beginning. I also think it is a very real reason as to why he is so confused and repressed. As someone who didn't have "the revelation" until my twenties, but also have had some very complicated relationships that didn't make sense until after I had that realization, I honestly really feel for Mike. I get him.

That’s why I have to laugh when people say if people's opinions on Mike and Will are based on subtext then they are looking too much into it. What people like that don’t understand is literally most queer people’s lives, especially when they are young and coming of age IS ALL ENTIRELY SUBTEXT. And the time period this show takes place in only exasperates that.

Things are never said out loud, true feelings are veiled with other issues, people are jealous and they don’t know why, they can’t figure out why they want that one friend all to themselves, why does it hurt so much when they choose to be with someone else? The way Mike acted in these seasons was very deliberate imo. He’s pushing Will away on purpose in season 3. And why is it exactly, that Mike can never balance Will and El emotionally when they are expecting and asking things of him?

So to answer your question lol after this tangent just keeps getting longer, I’m not convinced Mike truly knows why he feels like he needs to do that in season 3, but it doesn’t change the fact that his behavior is and can be very normal for queer kids figuring out their shit.

In that season, it's entirely to do with repression and nothing to do with him not wanting to play d&d anymore. So yes, internalized homophobia and self-hatred and denial of feelings is strong in Mike's character. Much more so than Will. Will has his issues and definitely has a lot of pain and feels like a "mistake" sometimes. We can see that shown to us in the destruction of castle byers scene. But as far as self-awareness and accepting himself for who he is, Will has never had too much of a problem with that. Will has never tried to be someone he's not. He has never given into a relationship or a situation because "it's what you're supposed to do" or to hide himself in anyway. I feel like Will is pretty unapologetically himself, even with his insecurities. That's why, imo, he receives the brunt of the bullying out of all the boys, especially in the beginning of the show. He doesn't change his clothes or his hobbies or his quiet sweetness. His true self never falters. The only time I can think of a time where he does anything like that is when he dances with the girl in season 2. But who's the one that pushes him to do it? That had more to do with pleasing Mike than it did with trying to be untrue to himself. And we've seen obviously from the scene in the classroom in season four that Will has most certainly not continued to do that as he's matured.

As for Mike, I think that season 4 something shifts a little bit. I think that Mike had a bit of a revelation at the end of season three and I think that being separated from El and Will really made him realize some things. Is he ready to face what that actually means in his relationship with Will? No, not in my opinion. But the way he so quickly and honestly responds to the fight in Rink-O-Mania (one last push for Mike to push Will away) and Will's support regarding El's letter in Jonathan's bedroom to me really is showing how Mike's feeling. He wants/needs things to be good between them. He wants Will in his life. He wants things to go back the way they were in season 1 and 2. He finally gives Will the attention he has so desperately asked for for two seasons all while struggling with this "issue" of telling his girlfriend he loves her. I think that the uncertainty and push/pull he is feeling is actually painful to watch. Because Mike does love El. And as Finn Wolfhard said, "he just wants to be normal." Normal is telling your girlfriend you love her. Normal is being in a relationship with a girl. Normal is not choosing your best friend over your girlfriend. Normal is putting her first. And so he does go through with it, but I really deep down believe that that is not what he really wants. I really think that since the end of season 3 Mike has realized that he also wants to spend his life in the basement with his best friend. Has he figured out that that love is romantic and that his feelings are sexual? I don't think he's completely figured that out yet. But I do think we'll get some more scenes of Mike having ??? in season 5, even before the Big Reveal. And i think that internal homophobia, self-denial, and refusal to accept who he really is all played a part in Mike's struggle.

summary: what i think falling asleep with them around would be like. that- that’s it, that’s the post note: yayayayy first post! this has been in my notes app for a Long time, so.. buckle up, this is going to be kinda long no matter what i do, thoughts went brrrrrr, sorry lmao.

Lucifer ➛ Good luck getting a moment alone with him. With all the work he has assigned by Diavolo, the time he spends cleaning up after his brothers’ shenanigans, and his duties as the eldest, it seems like he never has free time. ➛ When you do catch him alone, he’s either not in the mood for any sort of interaction or he’s taken the liberty of passing out at his desk, pen still in hand as he rests. ➛ You aren’t doing so well yourself, being a human exchange student doesn’t mean R.A.D. will go easy on you. Classes, assignments, and sometimes even just having to deal with the rest of the student body can be pretty tiring. ➛ Your patience pays off when the day finally comes that he’s mostly free of duties and your assigned tasks at the moment are all finished as well.

➛ You two don’t really do much, you spend the time talking over hot beverages and enjoying each other’s company in his office. Just having you around and not causing a ruckus is already more than enough for him. ➛ Lucifer ends up going on a halfhearted rant about his brothers as he organizes some papers next to you. How he found out about another one Satan and Belphie’s plots to inconvenience him and how he’ll turn it against them, wondering how the house hasn’t been decimated while he went on business trips sometimes... It’s nice seeing him not as uptight as he usually is. ➛ You end up getting a little drowsy despite your best attempts to listen to what he’s saying. Eventually your drowsiness wins over and you kinda.. nod off. Hopefully he doesn’t mind. (He does mind, actually. Sleeping sitting down may sound like a good idea at first, but Lucifer knows your neck will hate you for it when you wake up.) ➛ He doesn’t want to wake you, so he carefully nudges your head onto his lap before finishing up with the papers, occasionally running his hand through your hair. ➛ Once he’s done, he carries you to your room and makes sure you’re comfortable before leaving a kiss on your forehead and leaving, closing the door softly behind him.

Mammon ➛ When you suggest a lazy afternoon to him, he’ll act as if he has no time for a silly activity like that. Why would he? The Great Mammon has better things to do with his time than spending it lazing around with some- ➛ He trails off once he sees your slightly disappointed face. When you say you’ll find someone else to nap with, he changes his tune almost instantly. ➛ He just.. takes your wrist and goes “W-well, if ya want it THAT badly... but just this once, got it??” as he sorta tugs you along to his bedroom. ➛ This is where you learn that he has no idea how to share a bed with someone else. He seems torn between wanting to scoot closer or give you as much space he can without actually leaving the bed. ➛ You decide to make the decision for him, resting your head on his shoulder as you start rambling. Mammon warms up eventually and slings an arm around your shoulders, pulling you a bit closer. ➛ You drift off during a lull in the conversation, unintentionally leaving him hanging for a full minute before he realizes you’re asleep. ➛ He watches you for a while and makes sure you’re really out, then reaches for his phone and takes a picture (or five) of your sleeping face. What? You’re cute even when you sleep apparently! He’d rather go through one of Lucifer’s scoldings than admit that to your face in the near future though. ➛ You know that meme where people say they can't do anything because a cat fell asleep on them? Yeah, that happened to Mammon because of the arm he placed around you, he ended up falling asleep with you wrapped in his arms. ➛ When you wake up, you cannot move without his grip getting just a bit tighter. Greedy even in his sleep, it seems... rip if you have to go to the bathroom lmao

Leviathan ➛ You two spent pretty much the whole day in his room, geeking out over shared interests, catching up on anime Levi introduced to you, trying (and occasionally failing) at the games you both play ➛ You don’t even notice it’s well past 1 AM until you feel like you’ve been staring at a screen for an awful long time now, what time is- oh. ➛ Levi’s slightly disappointed that your hangout has to end, but yeah, he gets it. Everyone needs their sleep, even hardcore otakus. He’s about to tell you that you can leave when you flop into his bathtub bed, saying you’re too tired to walk all the way back. ➛ He short-circuits at the sight of you wrapping yourself around one of the many body-sized pillows, and when you realize he still has to get in the tub to sleep? And instead of getting out, you sit up and insist on him getting in with you??? ➛ A system error has occurred. Please restart your Leviathan. Come on, this is like that one scene in this shoujo anime he’s found where the main character and the person they’re pining for share a bed! ➛ He doesn’t say anything, but judging by the expression he’s making and how he’s clambering in behind you, you don’t think he minds too much. ➛ You two end up with his upper body propped up by the pillows and you kinda laying on top of him. It's a bit awkward considering the unconventional sleeping area, but it’s honestly more comfortable than you expected. ➛ Levi actually ends up falling asleep before you. You thought you were tired? Try being awake for 22 hours straight waiting for an exclusive merch drop you just couldn’t miss. He is out, and nothing you do can wake him. ➛ You both end up waking around noon thanks to your little late night stunt. Consider yourselves lucky that Satan saved you guys a plate before Beel got to it.

Satan ➛ He finds you in the House’s library, bent over at a table studying three textbooks at once. Understandable, given that it’s exam season, but it doesn’t look like you’re doing yourself any favors. ➛ And he’s right. You can’t make sense of anything in the books and you can feel a small headache coming on ➛ Satan offers to give you some help with your studies... after you’ve rested. He won’t take no for an answer, and since his room is much closer, he thinks it’s fine if you crash there while you take a break. ➛ He just has to... actually make space for you to rest first, though. He can navigate the chaos that is his room just fine, but you could easily trip on something, or worse, accidentally activate something cursed. ➛ Once that’s taken care of, you take a seat on his bed, scrolling through your D.D.D. as he takes one of the chairs, picking up a novel he bookmarked.  ➛ The scent of the books and the occasional sound of a page turning as Satan reads, along with his occasional hums of interest really helped put you at ease. After a couple of moments, despite yourself, you curl up and drift off. ➛ In between page turns, Satan would turn to check on you. When he realizes you’re asleep, he marks his novel and sets it down, turning to face you instead.  Since he knows his room can get a bit drafty sometimes, he drapes a blanket over you, smiling softly as you wrap the blanket more around yourself. ➛ You looking so cozy almost makes him want to join you, but just seeing that you’re comfy and much less stressed than before is enough right now. He instead gives you a head pat and goes back to his novel, the smile never quite leaving his face.

Asmodeus ➛ You know Asmo loves spending time together, from shopping trips to going to new places to even simple things like a tea spilling session every other night. ➛ So when you come to his room one evening to tell him sorry, you don’t really feel like a night on the town right now and would rather stay in and recharge, he’s not even as disappointed as you’d thought he’d be. ➛ He insists on pampering you both tonight, that way, you get to rest and relax with him, and he gets you all to himself for at least a couple of hours, uninterrupted. It’s a win-win scenario, in his opinion, and who are you to decline? ➛ You let him work his magic with whatever he has laying around, falling into your usual routine of talking as he does his and your nails and readies a face mask for the two of you as ambient music from his D.D.D. fills the air. ➛ When you find yourself getting sleepy, Asmo doesn’t mind at all! He puts away the stuff he used and suggests a little impromptu sleepover. ➛ You shouldn’t have been that surprised when he climbs into the bed after you, and you should’ve realized he’d be just as clingy in bed as he is normally. He can and will be all over you if you let him— running his fingers through your hair, cuddles like there’s no tomorrow...  ➛ His ridiculously soft and comfy bed definitely isn’t helping matters, and you drift off in record time. ➛ He’ll make sure you’re all tucked in and maybe internally squeal at how adorable you’re being, leaning into his touch in your sleep makes his heart do a flip ➛ You wake up the next day feeling like a new person, and next to you, looking surprisingly photogenic for someone half-asleep, is Asmo, tugging you back under the covers because it’s warmer with you in there. 

Beelzebub ➛ He’s been waiting at R.A.D.’s entrance for 20 minutes now. You were supposed to meet him so you could head to Hell’s Kitchen and hang out for a bit, but there’s still no sign of you and you haven’t read any of his texts. ➛ He gets a text from you then. Turns out your phone was on silent, because you felt a little burnt out from school and juggling hangout times with everyone else and went straight back to the House, wanting some quiet time. ➛ You send another message apologizing for the sudden change of plans and for not seeing his messages sooner, but Beel is pretty understanding. ➛ He isn’t letting his chance at being with you go that easily, though. He drops by a store to get you a little care package (and a handful of snacks so he still has something to give you by the time he gets to the house) and heads home. ➛ A few moments later, your door opens to reveal Beel. He leaves the food he brought on your table and sits down on the edge of your bed. You decide a cuddle buddy doesn’t sound too bad right now. After all, you already had the experience of sharing a room with Beel, surely sharing a bed will be similar? ➛ ... Not exactly. He’ll unintentionally take up half your bed no matter what you two do; you’ll either be searching for space or be pulled into the space he’s occupying like some sort of demon-shaped black hole. ➛ The solution: lay on his chest. He assures you that you aren’t too heavy for him, and if he’s being honest? Your weight is actually kinda comforting. ➛ You stay like that for a while, listening to his breathing and heartbeat, and eventually the stress of the past few days melts away, and you fall asleep with your arms draped over him like a pillow. ➛ He doesn’t mind, since you’re pretty much a living teddy bear to him, and he lets himself relax, a hand resting on your back. He just hopes his stomach won’t wake you both up...

Belphegor ➛ Let me get this straight. You want Belphegor, the literal Avatar of Sloth, to take a nap with you? Chances are he’s already half-asleep and all that’s left to do is join him... if he lets you. ➛ He’ll look at you, slightly irritated, but he’s too tired to argue, and you’d be warmer than a pillow, at least, so he motions for you to get in next to him. Just don’t move around too much or he’ll hog all the blankets in retaliation. ➛ If you’re close enough with him, either one of you has unspoken permission to join the other while they’re resting, no questions asked.  ➛ Probably has a bunch of pillows and blankets stowed away in various parts of the House, so nap supplies are readily available. Saves him from having to drag his stuff from place to place. ➛ The one downside to sleeping with Belphie is that he doesn’t need any time to unwind. He can go from full attention to catching Zs in minutes, leaving you no choice but to follow him into dreamland. ➛ He does cuddle a lot, though he’ll brush it off as using you as his personal heater. He’ll complain if you try to do it first, but he won’t make any moves to actually stop you. He actually might lean into you, making up an excuse about your side being comfier. ➛ If he really, really trusts you, he’ll lend you his beloved cow-print pillow. Only five minutes tops, though, then you have to give it back. ➛  When nights are bad and he doesn’t want to wake Beel up, he used to head to the planetarium to calm himself down. Now he slips into your room and takes comfort in knowing that you’re still safe and sound. You’ve woken up several times finding Belphie nuzzled into your blanket. ➛ If he feels especially clingy, his demon form’s tail will appear, slowly but firmly wrapping itself around your waist. Good luck getting out of bed without him knowing.

To be fair my friend has long since left tumblr so this is all bird app people, who we can all agree are exponentially Worse and More Unhinged than the general population on here, but I lost my shit when he told me about that 😂 like yeah again we can all agree that certain age gaps (looking at you, DiCaprio) can be an actual Problem, but like, personally I say, IN GENERAL (with exceptions OBVIOUSLY), once you’re like 25 and your brain is fully formed, almost age gaps are just not a fucking issue. And once you’re 30??? With someone only a decade older??? Lolol no. At my family’s secular Easter brunch recently everyone was mentioning their ages for some reason, and my dad is 62 with my stepmom being 55. Obviously this is completely normal and no one is gonna bat an eye, but my dad made a joke about how if he’d met her while she was in high school and he was out of college it would’ve been fucking weird OBVIOUSLY. But they met when he was 48 and she was either 42 or 43 (can’t remember time of year) and I am BEGGING the chronically online with brainrot to stop seeing all age gaps as Problematique(TM) 🙃🙃🙃

Also really fucking weird of someone to take a pic of the Taika 3 way and publish it like that when I can’t imagine he or the women (can’t remember who they were, like I said I’ve seen a single thing about it eons ago and I don’t care about celebs) consented to that??? Like it’s already weird that society is obsessed w celeb relationships, but now we’re getting into their casual sex lives??? Even just for me, unless I’m in a committed relationship that I’m very open/public about—like my current one of almost 4 years—I would lose my shit if randos were talking about who I’m causally fucking. While I’m relatively open about my sexuality and I’m not exactly secretive about it if a specific person finds out about a sexual partner, it is NOT ok for ppl to go around openly gossiping about that shit…so why is it suddenly ok for ppl to do that w celebs?? Can we pls remember they are Actual Human People??? Why does the world need to know about a casual hookup between 3 consenting ADULTS OF REASONABLE AGE???????

hi. i wrote a much longer and emotionally charged rant when i was in the thick of it with my feelings, but i’m going to put out a more measured version of that here. that being said, it’s still... really fucking long. 

long story short, i’m quitting tumblr. at least for a while. i’m not sure if i’ll be back or when, but it’s just not a healthy environment for me anymore. it’s not fun. writing is a hobby, but it’s also something i’d like to actually pursue; and i’m so sick and tired of feeling like i’m inadequate or i’ll never be a successful writer because i’m not popular in hq x reader fanfiction circles (and yet some people might think that i have no right to complain since i occasionally get Notes TM, but i guess everyone’s metrics are different).

i also feel like i’ve actually regressed as a writer during my time here, and i almost regret pouring so much time into this blog while having nothing to show for it in terms of my skills. a lot of what’s popular on tumblr is style over substance, which is a terrible habit to develop if you ever want to write outside of a fanfic context. the fact that i feel like i’m a weak writer because my prose isn’t pretty enough is absurd. furthermore, how can i develop my own style and sense of self as a writer if i’m always down because the people here don’t wanna read my stuff? it’s suffocating, stagnating, and it’s done me far more harm than good.

i’m tired of being stressed because i haven’t produced Content TM in a while and therefore i feel as though i’m becoming Irrelevant, even though that’s so stupid because this is haikyuu x reader tumblr. it’s literally not that deep and yet i make it that deep all the fucking time. i know it’s a me problem; i really, really do. i know nobody else is responsible for how i feel or how i interpret things. but i am just so tired of feeling like a failure, or feeling like i don’t deserve to have the friends i do because they’re markedly more talented than me, of feeling like my writing will never amount to anything because my fanfiction doesn’t get popular. and if that’s my headspace, the kindest thing i can do for myself is remove myself from the environment that’s causing it. 

i know i have a series sitting unfinished, and i’m really sorry about that. if i do decide to come back, i think i’ll be taking a month-long break at least (or perhaps three weeks -- depends if i want to do anything for my birthday fdlkjfsdlk). i’m still not sure if i’ll still pop in to answer any potential asks or whatnot, but i won’t be posting content for a while. i want to focus on my original work and remind myself why i love writing in the first place. 

i know this is all very dramatic (don’t worry, i am in therapy, although not for this specifically), but unfortunately i’m the sort of person who takes many things far too seriously. i’m not completely disappearing (i’ll stay on discord ofc, so if we’re friends or you’d like to reach out over there i am very receptive to that), and i’ll probably keep posting on ao3 if the urge to write fanfiction grips me.

(rant) So what IS up with Cory on TMS? I kinda skimmed season 1 and have been watching 2, and it definitely seemed like he was supposed to be Bradley’s endgame… which I was fine with until this last episode. Laura even referred to him as her “boyfriend” and didn’t seem bothered by it, so it’s not like they were pretending she couldn’t tell and would be devastated by a breakup, which I appreciated. But him outing her? And orchestrating Laura to be on the show when it happened? And just orchestrating that whole awful situation in general??? There is NO redeeming that, EVER. So is the focus on him being smitten with her and butt hurt over her being with someone else now going to become more ominous and threatening? Cause it’s almost like they frame it as if we’re supposed to feel bad for the guy… which is confusing and infuriating. I’m just very confused. They seemed like the cliche hetero endgame situation and they’re still framing everything like we’re supposed to still like him. Is this all a misunderstanding/plot we don’t understand yet? Is he going to become a psycho? Do the writers not think that’s irredeemable and expect viewers to think it’s fine and he just did it for “the good of the show”? As if her now growing and opening up is a gift of his actions? WHAT ARE THEY DOING

Yes yes and yes to everything you said, also this season literally started with Cory going behind Bradley's back and breaking her trust with the whole Alex thing, he then promised not to do it again basically with the "I'm on your side always" and now he freaking outs her publicly? And we're supposed to feel bad? FOR HIM?

Nah the writers lost me, I think the Cory/Bradley relationship switched from angst and pining (which I enjoyed in season 1 and beginning of season 2) to Cory being obsessed and Bradley not being able to set boundaries. I tend to forget this but he's her boss, like THE boss as in he holds her future and career in his hands and can do whatever he wants with it plus we know he's a master manipulator and a calculating man (which I ,again, appreciated in season 1). They had everything to succeed as a good straight couple and yeah I can maybe get why some would still ship them even after the outing but the authors dragged this for too long imo. Still I feel like somehow they will get together unfortunately because as Isabella said straight white men fuck everything up and then are in first line for second chances.

Don't know if I answered everything you asked but I pretty much agree with all you said, Cory and Bradley's relationship might have been intriguing and this pining was really interesting but I feel like it's broken now and I hope the authors won't give us a Cory/Bradley endgame

disclaimer that if you know enough about rap to be able to actually discuss and compare this sort of thing, uh, i have to warn you i don't so you might take psychic damage from reading this. but I TRIED

(also, this does not include the stage plays songs, sorry about that. it also does not include the curry thing, because i refuse to acknowledge it, thank you.)

14. sasara's verse with rosho in Aikata: deep sigh... im holding myself back from ranting for 10 paragraphs about this, but i genuinely think this showcases all their flaws as partners. it's not atrocious or anything, it's just. their styles cancel out in a way that reflects all their fears come true. it's cute tho

13. Survival of the Illest: Maybe I just didn't like the live performance, so I won't be able to rank it for sure until we get the official version of this and the BAT ones, but given Dotsuhon live performances tend to be even better than the studio versions, I'm inclined to say I straight up don't like his verse here lol?

12. Wara Osaka: ......yeah this is just thoroughly meh to me. Gives me the same vibes as his verse with Rosho in Aikata. Just not interesting. At least the song itself is really fun for something to vibe with without demanding that much attention.

11. Summit of Divisions (the bit from the leaders section in the trailer): Literally the most forgettable verse in this part of the song. Not bad, just thoroughly unremarkable both in the context of Sasara's verses and in the fact that all the other leaders have STELLAR verses here. Structure wise it makes sense going into Kuko's final verse, which probably only hits AS hard BECAUSE sasara's bit passes right by you, but still.

10. his parts in N☆PS: This song is fantastic, but Sasara is really just here as the glue to tie things together- the real standouts in this one are Rei and Rosho. Still, special shotout to him counting down in a speech.

9. sasara's solo verse in Aikata: perfectly standard sasara rap. this is like the baseline of what should be expected from this clown imo. the lyrics are kinda toothless but the way he delivers it doesn't disappoint

8. Joy for Struggle: It's only just a bit above The Sasara Standard Of Quality. Real good, real fun, takes advantage of the fantastic instrumentals of the song, and his confidence carries him a long way- but let's be honest, Ichiro sort of wiped the floor with him on this one

7. His first verse in Summit of Divisions: Judged solely as rap his bit here is nothing special, but in the context of the song itself, it's one of the most fun parts, he really leans into the vibe of the song by giving a little breather that's still genuinely fun and keeps the energy going into Rosho's verse.

6. Helter Skelter: much like everything else about sasara in helter skelter, his verse here is INTERESTING... he drops a lot of his usual flair and instead delivers a very, hm, i don't know enough about rap to describe it; it's very technically impressive compared to his usual stuff? I wouldn't be surprised if this is a peek at what he sounded like in Ikebukuro. If he'd carried this energy into Joy for Struggle it would have at least been a more interesting fight

5. Division Battle Anthem +: ...I think Sasara may well be the ONLY person who perfomed BETTER in Rap Battle than in Battle Anthem. I still prefer his verse here, but it's very style over sustance. That in no way means it's bad tho because absolutely NO ONE has a bad or even mediocre verse in this song, and I appreciate his kanto-ben joke its cute

4. Division Rap Battle +: I don't actually like his verse here much, but relistening I have to admit it's actually very, hmm... it's sasara going all out with style, he does SO much in just 20 seconds. In Tragic Transistor he calls himself a southpaw rapper, and I don't know enough about rap to know if he's bullshitting or not, but this verse makes it hard to argue with him.

3. Tragic Transistor: He does not shut up for a single SECOND in this entire song, and lets none of that time go to waste. The song itself barely changes at all, and the choruses are relatively speaking very short, so he carries the whole entire three minutes by himself without it EVER getting boring. He manages to rap for a whole song about himself, without actually SAYING anything meaningful about himself, and yet STILL asserting dominance WHILE being a clown. this song is a joy to rap

2. Aikata(s): Unironically fantastic, which goes for rosho's parts as well. in many shonen Fights Between Allies (tm), i feel like even if they SAY they're not holding back, they end up being like "oh it doesnt matter who wins, what matters is that we're enjoying the battle and giving it our all" etc. well this is NOT the case here, they are HONEST TO GOD BOTH FIGHTING TO WIN, and sasara genuinely throws out some lines i wouldn't have thought he'd say to rosho. just a great battle imo
