"Good job, Martin!" You yelled at you waved your pom poms infront of you, engaging in your cheer, but looking to the side as the Iowa women's basketball team ran down the tunnel for half time.

You gave her the biggest smile, getting one in return. "Thank you!" She grabbed a cup of water and ran down the tunnel following her teammates.

Usually that's how all of your interactions went. A 'good job' or 'you're doing great' here and there. Kate was your favorite on the team. She was tall, pretty, kind, and really damn good at playing ball. What's there not to like about her? You always mentioned her to your cheer friends; they evolved to trying to start up conversations with Kate and bring you into it.

It helped that one of your bestfriends was on the basketball team, too. You and Kylie met on your first day at Iowa University. You two have been inseparable since then.

So every game, you'd get to just a little bit early, hitching a ride with Kylie, and she knew full well why you did it. There was the off chance that you'd talk to Kate. They normally had shoot around, and the cheer team would get there just a half hour later to start warm ups and make sure the music was working.

You valued your time before every home game. That's why Kylie made sure to make you bump into Kate on your way into the big game tonight.

"Hey, Kate!" Kylie shouted to the blonde ahead. She turned around, her long blonde hair twisting as she turned to look at you and Kylie.

"Hey! Oh, Hi!" Kate greeted her teammate, and then greeting you, with a side hug. She was much taller this close than from the sideline to baseline view. Your knees were weak.

"Hey! You excited for tonight?" You beamed, you were also excited for tonight. The big Iowa vs. UConn game for the final four spot.

"Yeah, super. Your cheering tonight?" Kate knew the answer, she just didn't know what to say because you made her nervous. You could tell by the way her cheeks reddened immediately after asking.

"Yeah, I am. That's why I came with Kylie." You turned to point to your friend, only to find she left. You look up ahead and see her walking with Sydney down the hall towards the lockerroom. "Oh, nice." You whispered as you turned back to Kate.

Your cheeks turning pink just by the sheer height difference. "Nice, you're gonna cheer for me right? Your favorite on the team obviously." She bumped your shoulder, making you laugh.

"I will cheer for you, but only out of obligation. Y'know, I didn't get a full ride for nothing." Your sarcasm eliciting a small giggle from the tall blonde.

"Haha, very funny." Kate looked ahead, catching Kylie peak her head out of the lockerroom doorway, immediately blushing harder.

"Kylie's actually my favorite, but i'll make an acception for the cute golden retriever." You smiled up at Kate, tossing a small strand of hair up playfully, her smile widening some more.

"Yay, the cute cheerleader loves me." She bumped your shoulder again, both of you walking into the lockerroom like big grinning idiots. Kylie definitely texts you after you walk out with your headphones she had in her bag, asking how it went.

You walked onto the court, a couple of your teammates here already, smiling at your phone while you told Kylie what happened. You then didn't fail to talk about it all the way until the girls started warms ups. You didn't want to get caught talking about a minor interaction between your literal crush.

"Wait, stop. I think Kate likes you, babe." Your teammate literally stopped you dead in your tracks. You didn't know if you heard that correctly. You hoped you did.

"No, stop it. No she doesn't." You looked over, and sure enough Kate had been looking at you. You both gave eachother a small smile before resuming to your respective duties.

"Girl, she's been looking over here every thirty seconds. Of course she likes you." You smiled softly, thanking the cheer gods that your uniform looked so good on you. Seriously, you were glad you were confident enough to strike up a conversation. She was so pretty you didn't think you'd be able to do it.

"Okay, stop telling me that or that's all i'll think about all night, and I don't want to forget our cheers. Especially the half time performance." You sighed as you walked off the court, to do stationary stretches, while the girls used the full court to do warm up drills.

Now it was your turn to stare. You watched her as she moved in sync with her team. Fully enamored by the way she moved, communicated, and played with her team.

During the game, was no different. You’d watch her play, literally just watched her. Something about her was just so intriguing. You couldn’t look away.

She’d look to you, smile and continue to play her game. She would try and hide the smile when she heard you scream ‘let’s go 20’ and hasn’t stopped thinking about it. She thought about it all the way through the second half, and completely into half time.

She wished she could watch the halftime performance, wanting to watch you do your thing, in that pretty uniform, the skirt that fit you perfectly. You two had seemed to be totally enamored with eachother it was driving you both nuts.

After the game, the team went into the tunnel, for the normal post game talk. You were nervous to sit in, Coach Bluder allowing you to sit and listen since Kylie was your ride and you were just minding your own business. The lockerroom was fairly big, you finding a spot infront of a locker, scrolling through tiktok with your headphones on. You hadn’t known the huddle was over until someone was approaching you.

Looking up, you met the perfect blue eyes yet again. You looked up and saw you were sitting at her locker. “Oh, I’m sorry, I’ll just—“ You started talking and got up when she had already reached for her towel on the top shelf. Your bodies were pressed against eachother, eyes looking into the others, your breath mixing together.

“Oh..uh. Sorry!” Kate said, sidestepping to let you pass. Both your cheeks were red and demeanor suddenly timid and bashful. The things you two did to eachother.

You neeed her number.

She needed your number.

You then stood by Kylie’s locker, waiting for her to finish up, her opting to shower at her home, and then before walking out, you turned around and walked up to Kate. You didn’t know if it was the confidence of Iowa winning the game, the adrenaline running super high. But either way, you were doing it.

It was now or never. You liked her, and wanted to talk to her longer than short conversations before and after games. Getting closer, you tapped her on her shoulder. Her eyes wide, a soft puppy look on her face, god your knees were weak. “Hey!” She smiled as she put her basketball shoes in her bag, sliding her feet into her slides.

“Hey! So, you can totally say no, but I wanted to know if I could get your number?” You smiled nervously at the blonde, her smile growing wider.

“Yeah, of course. Here.” She handed you her phone, letting you type in your number, sending a quick text so you could save her number in your phone. Feeling your phone vibrate, you thank her and handed her her phone back.

Her now standing infront of you, you decided to kiss her cheek. Her face immediately turning a light shade of red. She rubbed the back of her neck softly, before looking down at her feet and then back up to you.

“Good game tonight, Martin.” You turned heel, and walked out the door leaving her absolutely stunned. She could not wait to text you tonight.

I wanna express my sincerest gratitude to you for inspiring me to draw more, to explore other styles and media references, to challenge myself with new poses or new formats of art, and to not be afraid of talking to people out there! The last parts seems funny, but I'm really so glad I stuck my head out of my hole and began writing more and more in the language I know I started lacking skill in.

So... Now I have hope that one day I too will be able to turn my own little corner of fandom into some cozy space where people would enjoy themselves and be silly, horny or obsessed with lore crumbs. Yay!!

I really enjoy It’s A Spectrum and came here through the link to the associated Tumblr after finding and reading the comic on Tapas. I would also like to say that I saw you recommended the show Dinosaur to someone in an ask answer, so binged it recently and I absolutely love it so much! I am definitely recommending it to friends. I also checked the release dates and found that all six episodes were released on my mum’s birthday! If you have any show recommendations like Dinosaur, I would love to know. Such good autistic rep is so enjoyable.

There's not loads of shows out there that centre around an autistic main character, but here's a few I've seen that at least have autistic characters in them:

Extraordinary Attorney Woo - about an autistic lawyer (with a special interest in whales! 🐳) starting her career. It's not perfect (she fits the 'savant' stereotype in a lot of ways) but I still really enjoyed it, and I even got my parents to watch it and I think it helped them understand :)

Heartbreak High - the story isn't about being autistic but Quinni is one of the main cast. She's played by an autistic actress and her experience as an autistic person is explored in several episodes (I haven't finished this one yet so no spoilers!)

Dead End: Paranormal Park - again not about being autistic specifically but one of the main characters, Norma, is confirmed to be autistic. I felt particularly seen by s1 ep3 which explored how she experiences the world and her anxiety around it.

Community - Abed! The creator, Dan Harmon, realised he was autistic himself while writing the character. Plus Community is super funny.

There's also Geek Girl, which just came out on Netflix. I haven't seen this one, but I know that the author of the book it's based on (Holly Smale) discovered she was autistic herself after so many autistic people related to the main character.

I wish I had more for you! Autistic rep is unfortunately pretty sparse, and actually good autistic rep even more so. If anyone has more suggestions I'd love to hear them!

Interviewer: Thank you so much for your hard work with the shooting and outfit change! Pleased to work with you for this interview.

Re:vale: Thank you very much.

Interviewer: Without further ado, you announced that your new album will be released soon. Congratulations!

Momo: Thank you very much!

Yuki: Thank you.

Momo: I'm so happy to share these super happy news with everyone! How about you, Yuki?

Yuki: Yeah. I’m happy to see Momo smile right now.

Momo: Why is it suddenly about me!? I'm happy! But what about the album!?

Yuki: Just seeing Momo's happy face makes releasing the album worth it.

Momo: Is that so!?

Yuki: How about you, Momo?

Momo: I’m gonna make this clear this time...

Yuki: Don’t change your mind now.

Momo: The album is amazing since it got Yuki praising me like that! Yay!

Yuki: That's good. A mutual benefit.

Momo: More like, there are only benefits and zero downsides! I'm super happy! I hope this happiness reaches all our fans along with the album!

Yuki: That’s right.

Interviewer: Although the title of the album hasn't been revealed yet, what kind of album should we expect?

Momo: It will include six previously released songs from "SILVER SKY" to "Kiseki" and two new unreleased songs! I'm sorry, but we can't reveal the title right now…!

Yuki: While we can't reveal the title yet, I hope you'll look forward to it as a culmination of our recent activities.

Interviewer: You called this the culmination of Re:vale’s journey earlier. Can you reflect on said journey so far?

Interviewer: As top artists, there must have been both joy and pain right?

Momo: We’re asked this question often, but whenever I look back I'm reminded of so many happy memories, rather than painful or regrettable ones!

Momo: Because the path we've walked as Re:vale is filled with happiness that we wouldn't have encountered if we weren’t Re:vale! How about you, Yuki?

Yuki: I feel the same as you.

Momo: Yuki~!

Yuki: Besides, being called top artists was never our goal, but if our songs have touched the hearts of many people then I'm happy.

Momo: That’s right! Sometimes I look back and remember the old days. Like the time we had the chance to be featured in a 10-seconds segment on an news program! It was so nerve-wracking!

Yuki: You mean the Ri:varu thing?

Momo: Yeah it is! The reporter mispronounced our group’s name and I was freaking out right before we went live!

Interviewer: That must have been stressful...

Momo: It was! Yuki wasn't fazed at all, but the atmosphere the live broadcast brought was really exciting~

Yuki: Fufu.

Momo: Ah, I digress, but some cute juniors are challenging us lately, so we have to work even harder as seniors!

Yuki: Momo is very good at taking care of others.

Momo: No wayyy~ Are you jealous!?

Yuki: I want you to take care of me too.

Momo: Oh, a straightforward request! What do you mean by that!?

Yuki: If our opinions differ, prioritize mine.

Well y’all, officially it’s been 10 days since I joined this challenge! Absolutely insane that I committed to something for once. It’s like a Christmas miracle…or dare I say, a writemas miracle! Setting: A (stone) wall of thorns

I don’t know if anyone caught it yesterday but I actually had Perci with Nilus and Melina(although I forgot to tag her oops, it’s fixed now though)! It’s like a crossover episode. Now yesterday I focused more on Nilus and Perci, so today I will be focusing on Perci and Melina. Yay!

Perci gazed deeply at the stone wall at a safe distance from him. He smiled to himself, feeling the nice feverish heat radiating from the magical rocks. It had been a week and a half since he looked at his winter coats, or even snow for that matter. Oh, the spoils of war. Mom exaggerated so much about Haukrosen, it’s very nice here. He thought to himself, tracing the gaps between where the stones laid down atop each other with his eyes. Perci was very eager to get his time’s worth of the bustling, yet warmly inviting city before they had to leave on their mission a week from then. 

Deciding that looking at the walls that towered over the capital like an insane person was not enough, Perci walked back inside of the castle his assigned Queensman and crew were in. He walked across the halls, admiring the beautiful architecture of the place. After a while of walking he saw a room with the door cracked open, with a strange kind of green light slithering out of the opening. He pushed the door open more to peak in, allowing it to creak wide open. Leaning on the smooth wilthstone edges of the door frame, he peeped in.

Inside, there was just a lone woman in the room, dressed in a long robe, working on something peculiar. She had dozens of different kinds of plants and equipment surrounding her. Creatures in cages lined the walls behind her. Some of the life she had in there to be imports, expensive ones at that, as Perci hadn’t seen anything of the like in Pytharios before. He was sure she was their Herbalist, since she had the coordinating colors to the division, but she never, ever spoke to anyone— other than reporting to the other Queensmen, of course—, so he couldn’t know anything about her for sure. Now, he has a chance to talk to the mysterious woman.

“Uh, hey there! I guess we haven’t ever formally spoken together, one on one, right? So, moving on to my point here, um, I’m not so sure of your family name, I might have heard it from Queensmen Hyde but I just want to be sure of it. It’s Harrier right? Like the family that started the city Elares? My family traveled there once, when my dad was around, that is. We definitely couldn’t afford a trip like that now.”

He could hear her swallow hard as she glanced up from the large book in her hands. 

“Yes.”, She finally answered, although pretty shakily.

Perci took a step into the room with her, taking his hands off the archway of the room, “Oh, well then. That’s really interesting to know.” 

Silence overwhelmed the room again, as the woman absentmindedly went back to finishing her work.

Another enthusiastic question appeared in Perci’s head, “Hey, didn’t they originally establish the city to hold prisoners there? Well, y’know, not anymore. Since, last time I heard of it, they tore the jailhouses down. Right?”

“The prison is still there, believe me.”

Perci nervously laughed, not sure what exactly she meant by that, and carried on with the questions, “Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought they didn’t have another daughter”

“I am her.” She said in a monotonous distracted tone, almost as if she was dismissing him from speaking altogether. 

“Oh, I thought you overtook the city’s government, I didn’t think you would leave from such a good position like that. I mean, also, you just don’t seem a whole like her. She was quite the active person when I was there last.”

A quick noise of acknowledgement came right after Perci spoke that last part. He could tell she really wanted to change the subject, for whatever reason. Breathing in deeply to start over fresh, He tried to do exactly that.

“Wow! I sure haven’t seen anyone use…whatever that is, to do…whatever you are doing.” Perci awkwardly said, trying to break the ice with this strange woman.

Melina simply ignored him, still busy combining various strange herbs and substances in the pot before her. Nothing he tried seemed to break the ice again. 

“Where did you learn how to do all of this? There was nothing remotely close to this in the academy! This stuff is absolutely remarkable!”

Again, no answer came.

Perci noticed as he came closer to her she was making some kind of wellness potion. It was bizarre, he hadn’t known of anyone in ages doing this.

He tried to strike up conversation one more time, trying to help the older woman out, “Why can’t you just use magic? This kind of stuff is archaic! Magic is a much quicker and easier way to do all whatever position you are trying to make.”

Melina breathed in deep, “You give to make, child.”

“I know, but I don’t see the harm there, you don’t have to use your own life force, that would be just silly. You can always just use these plant’s lives here, they won’t mind it. You already are using them in another way, it shouldn’t be any different. It’s simple science! Anyone with life can use magic, so that means you can get magic from anything alive.”

Regret set in the moment he said that. He could see the intense feeling of anger settle into her skin in real time. The hairs at the back of her neck stood at their ends as she slowly turned around to face the young boy, her long, white coat whipping around a second after her body did. She slammed her book shut, sending echoes across the room of the loud bang. The wise lines on her face wrinkled further as her face shifted to pure yet quiet anger.

"You think I don’t know that? I—No, no, no. I can’t take it anymore, this is too much. Leave me. I have had enough. I cannot endure another moment with you, so please, I beg you, leave." Melina exhaled out, only snapping out of her usual trance-like demeanor for just that moment, then quickly returning back with tears in her eyes. 

“I’m sorry, but go on, please.” Melina said with sorrow filled words.Did I say something wrong? Perci thought, trying to analyze her odd behavior to the question. Even though it was an odd reaction, Perci realized he definitely overstayed his welcome with her. So, respecting her wishes, he left without another word. But still, as he walked back down the halls, he wondered why she was so adverse to a great thing like magic.

The day before William’s date with Kate, he takes her out to buy a dress

Kate wears that dress on the date

And discovers that William has a matching suit

William definitely enjoys the ensuing fluster expressions Kate shows him

He takes her out to a VERY Fancy restaurant

Even in the dress he bought her, Kate still feels out of place

William being there makes up for the nerves she feels though

William smiles, choosing to watch Kate eat the meal she ordered in favor of eating his own meal.

After a moment, she looks up and swallows before asking, “Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Hm…? Am I not allowed to watch my lovely Robin enjoy herself?” William responds smoothly.

Kate blushes, “That’s not what I said. You need to eat too, you know.”

“Haha, and I will. You know I love seeing you experience new things.” William reaches forward and brushes a strand of hair out of Kate’s face.

“Yes, I know. I love you so much, William.” Kate places her hand on his, keeping it near her.

He places the hand on her cheek, “I love you too, my Robin.”

A festival was happening in London

If Kate shows interest in something, it sparks Liam’s curiosity too

“Oh look, Liam! That game has a prize!” Kate points over to a game where you try to guess which cup has a ball beneath it after the man moves the cups really fast. The prize is a large plush cat.

Liam follows Kate’s gaze, and he asks, “Do you want it?”

Kate nods, and they start to head over. Just before they get there, someone warns them, “That game is rigged, so be careful.”

Liam thanks them for the warning, then asks Kate to go try it herself while he does something.

While trying and failing to win the prize, Kate suddenly sees the ball floating up to the game master’s pocket, then it slips in.

Did Liam just use his power to show her the answer? The ball must have fallen through a hole to make it so that none of the cups have the ball in it.

“It’s in your pocket.” Kate says confidently.

The game master furrows his brow in confusion and reaches into his pocket, his eyes widen as he pulls out the ball, “How-?”

“Yay! I win the prize!” Kate cheers.

Unfortunately, the man has to give up the plush he never intended for anyone to win, Kate meets up with Liam as soon as she walks away from the game.

“You’re a very sneaky Kitty.” Kate giggles.

Liam smiles, “I was just curious about how the game was rigged, that’s all. And you got the plush you wanted too~.”

“It reminds me of you.” Kate and Liam both smiles as she says that.

Harrison is more of a stay in kind of person

But every once in a while it’s still nice to go out

Harrison always wants to go to bookstores and places like that

And Kate prefers going to restaurants and more social places

They usually end up going to Kate’s choice and then going to the bookstore after

Sometimes Kate will see flyers about events and Harrison will decide to take her there right then

This time, Kate found a brand new chocolate shop that opened and begged for Harry to take her there. Harrison happily agrees to go with her, even after Victor overheard and asked them to bring some home for everyone else.

They ended up trying every chocolate the shop sells, and Harry started sneaking chocolates out of what Kate had boxed for the other members of Crown.

“Harry!” Kate chuckles, she expected this from her sweet-tooth boyfriend, “That’s not for you!”

“I can’t help it.” Harrison pecks Kate’s lips, she can taste the chocolate he’s been eating, “Maybe we just need to buy more so that there’s plenty for me.”

“Your kisses taste like chocolate…” Kate tells him.

Harry raises his eyebrow, then kisses her again, “Do they?”

“Yes… But maybe you should kiss me again just so I can be sure.” Kate whispers.

“As you wish.” Harrison doesn’t stop at one more.

Jumping off one of your last asks/answers

You mentioned having an ever growing wips folder (very relatable tbh, trying to find a moment between creative bursts and actually writing out those ideas is uniquely challenging, at least to me haha <3)

anyway! my question is bit broader - I love Clean Slate and the way you embrace and explore Shadow's immortality and how it connects to Sonic is so well done! The themes of surviving vs. living and love transcending/defying time really struck me - your character and motif writing is just outstanding across your works but Clean Slate goes into those themes that I personally love to read about :D

sorry to blather - actual question here: Are there specific fic tropes or plots you return to in your wips that you love writing more so over others? like what are your favorite themes to explore when reading and/or writing about these characters?

Yes! My wips folder is insane because I have a million ideas and very little time to write 😅 It definitely tends to be a mood in the creative communities!

Yay!! I'm so glad you enjoyed Clean Slate! Shadow is immortal like vampires. Germs and old age aren't gonna take him out and he's nearly indestructible because of his regeneration capabilities but he can technically die. We're going to be expanding on those themes in the sequel, narrowing in on self-acceptance and forgiveness big time. Shadow had a lot of growth in Clean Slate and Fractured Reflections is going to be Sonic's turn and then in the third book... gonna put it all together.

It's so funny because other's might be able to answer your question better than me lol Sometimes I don't even realize I'm going into the same thing because writing is therapeutic for me and I can catch up a bit late lol I would say you're gonna be soul mate stuff A LOT. Where these guys just seem fated. Bonding, connected with a bond. I'm also a sucker for forbidden love and secret relationships which we're gonna see in Masks for sure.

Another theme I think I touch on a lot is loneliness and disconnect, especially self inflicted as a result of trauma. I write a lot about expectations from others and internally and how they impact choices. I'm a bit all over the place really! I mostly write my own experiences, trauma, and what I would love to find in a romantic partner. 💙🖤

So there's a robbery and Harry's busy somewhere else...

And then Mr. Sinister arrives.

Yeah, still hot. Anyway, he's pissed off at what our heroes did to Black Cat last issues and quickly charms the crowd. Peter escapes quite scathed.

MJ's there, and as usual, the interplay between them is solid.

Love them.

Then MJ mentions her sister, which is funny considering that I recently learned more about her in the original 616 run.

MJ's worried about Peter and asks him to tell her if she needs to be worried. Then she asks if they can fool around (did I say that I love her already?) but Peter has a meeting with Ben.

Meanwhile, the villains have a meeting and the Black Cat says that he's not ready to give up his seat just yet. After all...

He still has a daughter. And she's gorgeous! But did that single panel appearance really deserve a cover?

Anyway, at Memorial Park, it turns out it's been a year since May died. Oof. I thought it was longer than that, but Ben's determination to bring justice makes more sense now.

Okay, great, because Ben and Jameson should have had an inkling before last issue, and THEN they confirmed that Harry's the Green Goblin, so it would've been pretty stupid of them to not know.

I'm glad that those characters are smart and--

Interesting for his role in the narrative (I like that every character is lively enough that they don't need him to have relationships), and interesting for the subtle foreshadowing that loses foreshadowing every panel. It's just a sinking feeling that something's not quite right.

Anyway, that's my favorite duo right there.

So MJ does the mature thing and tries to fix things with her sister. Gayle tells her Douglas was cheating on her. Oof. God, that's difficult. No wonder she came.

Ooo I haven't really thought about that. I shall try my best to see what I may come up with! (Kinda Nsft. Nothing too crazy)

They kiss a lot. And I mean a lot. Like constantly. Though they try to keep it in the privacy of their dorm.

Again, scar kisses!! (I love them so much T~T)

Both of them have a weakness for neck kisses. Even the most innocent of them.

At first Wednesday hated the idea of kissing in public. But somebody (Willa) gets a little jealous when other people try to flirt with their paramour. Eventually she kissed Enid, straight on the mouth - truthfully, a bit aggressively- to prove that Enid was in fact not one to be hit on.

When they are intimate I think Wednesday would be the type to kiss just everywhere. Every inch of skin, to show she believes every inch of Enid is perfect and beautiful. Maybe she lingers and shows a little extra love to the wolf's scars just to further prove even the girls 'imperfections' are perfect to her.

Enid is a big fan of kissing Willa's thighs. (I will not elaborate *-*)

Enid is the type to kiss all over Wednesdays face just cause she can.

In my brain Wednesday like to cuddle up to Enid, most of the time with her face buried in the blondes neck, so she'll randomly leave little kisses there. Most of the time she doesn't even think about doing it, it's just second nature.

Enid likes to kiss Wednesday where she happens to be a bit more sensitive because she likes the way the dark girls breathing picks up or hitches or a little noise will slip past. (Safe to say she likes hearing a reaction out of her girl)

They both are a little too fond of marking eachother up. Enid doesn't mind the marking being visible on herself but Wednesday is a bit too modest, so the marks Enid leaves are for their eyes only.

They do share innocent little kisses throughout the day but refrain from being 'one of those couples' that eat eachothers faces in front of the whole school (though it has happened a few times while intoxicated 🤭 but the only people there were their friends)

Wednesday loves kissing Enid on the palm of her hand.

Wednesday has kissed Enid in front of the other furs at least once to prove a point. She knows she doesn't have to but it feels nice to see the looks on their faces.

Enid kisses Wednesday when jealous as well. She has rubbed it in Xaviers face many times. (Wednesday absolutely LOVES Enids jealous side)

For Enid kissing Ajax was nice but something always felt... off. She figured she felt that way because maybe she got her hopes up a little too high with what kissing him was meant to feel like. Then she realized she felt more looking at Wednesday than she ever did kissing Ajax. (Ensue a lot of confusion, inner turmoil, tears, a break up, a discussion, and finally, getting the girl *Woo, yay Enid! You go girl! So proud of you!*)

Wednesday on the other hand vowed to never kiss anyone again because the last person she kissed almost murdered the person she loved. That is until after break, when she saw Enid again and realized 'oh shit I don't just love her, I'm in love with her' (Ensue inner turmoil, denial, more denial, refusal, then finally acceptance -only after Enid confessed- and would you look at that, she got the girl too! *Woo, yay Willa! You go girl! So proud of you!*)

They smooch.

West Wind was my biggest accomplishment but not my favorite fic I’ve ever written. It does have moments that live in my heart. The whole deal with Early Sunset... Regill’s “rescue”... Pharasma absolutely not interested in Sia’s temper tantrum...

But I think my overall feel-good favorite to re-read is The Crow and the Lark – the roleswap AU with Woljif as Knight-Commander. The runt of the litter. One of my least popular ever and yet my special sweetheart.

  “Venti, we’ve talked about this already. You can’t keep coming home at two in the morning because you want to drink all night.” You said to a drunk Venti. “Ehe~” Was the only response you received. Getting even more frustrated with Venti, you snapped. “You know what, I’m done with this! I’m done with you Venti!” You yelled, and left your shared apartment.

1st POV 

     I knocked on Rosaria’s door, hoping she would answer. Luckily she opened the door. “Y/n, what are you doing here at this time?” Asked a sleepy eyed Rosaria. “Well I ended things with Venti, and I was wondering if I could stay here for a bit.” I stated bluntly. “I guess, come in and we can talk about what happened between you and Lord Barsibato.” Rosaria said, being the only one knowing that secret besides the traveler. “It’s Barbatos.” I said, laughing as I went into Rosaria’s house.

     “Do you want any wine?” Rosaria asked. “NO!” I yelled. “Sorry, that's why I left Venti. Plus it wouldn’t be good for the baby.” I said. Rosaria’s eyes widened and she almost spit out her drink. “BABY?!” She asked, still shocked from the news. “Oh yeah, that…haha…” I said nervously. “Does Venti know?” She asked. “We had a dinner date planned for tonight, I was going to tell him then. He didn’t come as usual.” I said. “Oh, so he was drinking again.” Rosaria said. “Yes! I wish for once that he would take things seriously! Especially my concerns for him!” I said, getting frustrated. “Well it’s alright Y/n. You can stay at my place for as long as you need to.” Rosaria said.

     “Thank you Rosaria.” I replied. “Although, it probably won’t be long before he finds out that you’re pregnant.” Rosaria said, stating a good point. I sighed. “I know, I plan to move to Sumeru so that he doesn’t find out. Plus I have a good friend who lives there.” I said.

*Two weeks pass and I wave goodbye to Rosaria as I head off to Sumeru.*

[TIME SKIP-6 YEARS LATER]

     “I can’t believe this little girl is almost six!” Collei said. “I know, she’s gotten so big!” I said, smiling. “Mommy, where are we going?” C/n asked. “We’re going to the Windblume Festival in Mondstadt. Auntie Rosaria invited us to come.” I told her. “6 years later and you’re finally going back?” Collei asked. “Yes, I miss my home, plus the festival is a great way to have fun.” I said. “Well since I’m going too, we’ll have extra fun!” Collei said. “Yay Collei!” C/n said excitedly.

*Y/n, Collei, and C/n go to Rosaria’s house in Mondstadt.*

     Once we met Rosaria at her house, I let Collei take C/n out to play for a bit until we met up with them later. “C/n sure has grown a lot.” Rosaria stated. “Haha yeah.” I replied. “She looks a lot like Venti too.” She said “I know, she has his personality too.” I said as I sighed. Rosaria laughed. “Let’s go meet up with Collei and C/n before they cause any trouble together.” I said, as me and Rosaria left to find Collei and C/n.

     Once we met with Collei and C/n, I took c/n to play with the small group of kids near the Barbatos statue. I sat on a small bench as I watched C/n play with the other children.

     A few minutes later C/n ran up to me and grabbed my hand. “Mommy! Mommy! Come look at this man singing! He’s so good! He likes music just like daddy!” C/n said. By the time she had finished talking, we were standing in front of him. My eyes widen as I realize who it is. It was Venti. “Y-Y/n, is that really you.” He asked. “Yes.” I replied, mentally face palming myself for answering him.

     “Who’s this?” He asks, pointing to C/n. “Oh, this is C/n.” I said. “Mhm! My birthday is tomorrow! I’m turning six!” C/n said. “That’s right, you’re so smart.” I said, as I laughed at C/n. “Six years old…?” Venti said, confused. My eyes widen as I realize what C/n just said. “But that would mean…” Venti continues as he looks at me with slightly teary eyes. 

     “Y/n… Is C/n my daughter…?” Venti asks. “Yes.” I say as I bite my lip, waiting for a response. “W-why didn’t you tell me?” He asked. “Well I was going to, but you never showed up for our date that night.” I replied. “I’m sorry Y/n. I truly am. I hope you can forgive me for my foolish decisions. I would like to be a part of C/n’s life.” Venti said. “What about your drinking problem?” I asked.

     “Oh, hello Y/n, Venti. It’s been quite some time since I’ve last seen you both. I’m surprised I haven’t seen you at the tavern in a few years Venti.” Kaeya said as he passed by. “What…?” I asked. “Yeah, after you left I stopped drinking. I realized that I made a stupid decision. I put wine before you, and I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry for everything Y/n. I really do hope that you can forgive me.” He said. “I do forgive you, but this doesn’t mean things can just go back to the way they used to be.” I said. “Yeah, we have a kid this time.” He said as he laughed. I rolled my eyes.

     A few seconds later, I called C/n over. “C/n, this is your dad.” I said. She smiled and her face lit up. “Yay! I finally got to meet daddy!” C/n said. Venti smiled. “I like the sound of that.” He said. “Mommy and Daddy should get married!” C/n said. “Woah there, slow down a little bit.” I said. “Ehe~” C/n laughed. Me and Venti both laughed with C/n.

     Rosaria and Collei watched from a distance. “Are you crying…?” Rosaria asked Collei. “It’s just so sweet.” Collei said, wiping her tears. They both smiled. “So I take it that we’re not telling them that we set this up?” Rosaria asked. “No, but C/n is really the one to thank. Without her being as smart as she is and following directions, this wouldn’t have worked.” Collei stated. “Yeah, that’s right.” Rosaria said. They both laughed.

*A few months later Venti proposed, I said yes and we got married at the Cathedral.*

Momo: I can't help but get fired up when you put it like that!

Nanase Riku: Yes! And a Japanese drum performance sounds like it’s gonna be a lot of fun anyways…!

Yaotome Gaku: yeah, I’m pumped!

Momo: Alright then, let’s give it our best for the big performance the day after tomorrow! Let’s fire up the Autumn Leaves Festival with the best performance!!

Nanase Riku & Yaotome Gaku: Yeah!!!

Momo: Oh, these outfits look really cool!

Momo: Don’t they look like we could put on a live performance wearing them?

Nanase Riku: Wow...! Momo-san, it looks so good on you! You too, Yaotome-san!

Yaotome Gaku: You too, Nanase. I think it’d be quite the artistic portrait to play Japanese drums in these fits.

Youth Group Leader: Everyone looks great in those outfits! So cool!

Momo: Thank you!

Youth Group Leader: Wow... I felt my heart race when you winked at me...! I’m kinda nervous...!

Yaotome Gaku: As expected of you, Momo-san. Your fan service is top-notch.

Momo: Wearing this outfit activated my switch.

Youth Group Leader: The outfits are fantastic, but the drums over there are what’s making me really excited!

Momo: I'm itching to practice already!

Youth Group Leader: I’m glad to see you so motivated, Momo-san! I’ll call the drum instructor right away.

Youth Group Leader: The Autumn Leaves Festival would be nothing without him! He's been playing the drums for 50 years! Here’s our instructor, Gen-san!

Gen-san: Nice to meet you all. I'm looking forward to working with you.

Nanase Riku & Momo & Yaotome Gaku: Nice to meet you!

Nanase Riku: The fact that you’ve been playing for 50 years is seriously impressive…!

Gen-san: No, it's nothing. I just happened to pick up the drumsticks at my first Autumn Leaves Festival, and before I knew it, I reached this age.

Youth Group Leader: Everyone who performs the Japanese drum in this town learned the basics from Gen-san. I was still a kid when he first taught me...

Nanase Riku: It has quite a long history...!

Youth Group Leader: Of course! It's a traditional performance that’s been passed down through generations during the festival after all!

Yaotome Gaku: It's a big responsibility...

Momo: Yeah, but it makes me even more motivated. We'll put our hearts into playing the drum!

Gen-san: Thank you. I'm glad to hear that.

Gen-san: By the way, have any of you played the Japanese drum before?

Momo: I played a little during an elementary school sports festival... But I’ve never been taught properly.

Yaotome Gaku: I'm on the same boat over here...Oh, I did practice while playing a few rounds of taiko games before though… 

Momo: I'm good at those games!

Yaotome Gaku: You like playing games, don’t you?. ...But this might be different from the real deal…?

Momo: I seeeee! Yuki is complete ass at playing racing games and often ends up driving in reverse, but his real-life driving skills are top-notch…

Nanase Riku: I used to play with toy drums we had at home when I was little...

Gen-san: I understand. Let's start by learning how to stand.

Gen-san: Each one of you stands in front of a drum.

Gen-san: Momo-kun, you stand in front of the large drum in the center. Riku-kun and Gaku-kun, please stand in front of the medium-sized ones on each side.

Nanase Riku: Momo-san's drum is huge...!

Yaotome Gaku: It’s really impactful! It really feels like the main one.

Nanase Riku: Momo-san is in the center!

Momo: The center, huh! Re:vale doesn't really have that so it’s refreshing, I’m kinda happy!.

Nanase Riku: Well, us three are a special unit right now so we'll support you, Momo-san!

Momo: Thanks, Riku! Since I have you two supporting me, I need to do my best too.

Gen-san: Hmmm... I was going to teach you how to stand but you already look graceful. Maybe you should pull your shoulders back a bit to open your chests?

Momo: Opening our chest, huh…Like this? 

Gen-san: Ah… Yes, exactly. Your posture is good and so is your intuition. Riku-kun and Gaku-kun have a very upright standing posture, too.

Gen-san: And now, first bow to the drum before holding the drumsticks... 

Nanase Riku & Momo & Yaotome Gaku: ...

Gen-san: ...Oho. You've already done it.

Nanase Riku: Ah...! I’m sorry for doing it without your instruction...!

Yaotome Gaku: My body moved on its own...

Momo: Ahaha... I just wanted to greet the drums properly since they'll be helping us at the festival.

Gen-san: Fufu. No need to apologize… There's nothing more to say about your readiness.

Momo: ...Thank you very much!

Gen-san: Well then, you can finally pick up the drumsticks and start playing.

Gen-san: I apologize for the lack of practice time, but I'll teach you everything I can. So please look forward to the Japanese drum performance.

Nanase Riku & Momo & Yaotome Gaku: Yes! We're looking forward to working with you!

Momo: I'll pour my heart and soul into it so that the townsfolk can also call this year's Autumn Leaves Festival a good one!

i have no idea what the abandoned carnival au is but I 100% support rambling so here's your opportunity to ramble about whatever you wanna say about it!

(and if you're like me and can't answer non-specific questions here's some for ya:

What are the character's worst flaws? How do they interact with other characters? Is there any specific event that stuck with them from their past? How do others treat them? Any significant traits important to the plot?)

WHAAAAG I LOVE YOU MINUTE/P !!!!! ok no one would really know much abt the carnival au because I haven't mentioned it really um haha. I did draw the moon for this au in Sundays daycare magma so yay if you need a face to the name you have one!

urm let's see here. so, for moon, I think his worst flaw is being unable to communicate properly. He struggles to keep things happy, he really does bring things down a lot and that's a flaw pushed on him by the process of his paranormal creation. what who said that.

sun's worst problem is his pride. he refuses to admit when he's wrong and he refuses to TALK about whatever he was wrong about. he's a 'drop it, I don't want to talk about this' kinda guy. he's a professional ghoster, if I do say so myself. totally not a pun linked to his paranormal creation. whaaat who keeps saying these things??? seriously this is crazy!!!

moon doesn't MEAN to push people away, he was made to operate a carousel, not make friends. But if he knows that someone is worth keeping ther, dedicated to staying with him, he can be soso clingy. he still has to rely on others though, otherwise he can't run, just like a music box. Sun has major people person energy, but he still gets so overwhelmed. He took on over 5 jobs around the entire carnival, between both entertainment and upkeep. so he has an overall energetic personality, bit when he burns out he burns out HARD. this makes him often irritable or overbearing for a lot of people, but he balanced it out between him and moon.

the fire. whenever the carnival closed down for the night. the missing kids. what happened to everybody else around here?

no, nothing much.

they really CANT get out much anymore, they've really tied down their roots since the place stopped moving from town to town way back in '47! furthermore, they cannot really talk to much of anybody but each other! and moon hasn't been wound up since the carnival wasn't needed anymore! that's why sun was SOOO happy when a human- you - showed up! can you believe it? moon enjoys your company too, but someone can only spend 60+ years in solitude for oh so long! can you imagine not aging, because you're nothing more than a puppet- a doll inside the puppet?? oh, he has so many things to show you!!! you're quite nice, probably not well suited to hang around such a guy all down in the dumps all the time! not that moon complains, having someone willing to care so much about him just the same- isn't that COOL??

Sun wasn't always supposed to take over all these other jobs. He used to be happier, calmer. I wonder what made him so tense. He's always stuck in a nervous state, no matter how happy he is around you. Moon wasn't always sad- he used to be a happy and mischievous guy that would even dance along to his music. hard to believe how broken down the tunes of the calliope have gotten.
