i think we don't talk about what the driving force behind each batcher is enough. like if u think abt it hunter often acts out of fear ( not cowardice , fear that his ppl will get hurt duh ) , while crosshair often acts out pain , tech acts with logic , wrecker with love , and echo ? echo acts out of being true hater

I've read 287, and I wanted to ramble about Igaguri and Isagi because... I got nothing else to talk about from this chapter besides that, honestly (the loml Ness has not made his comeback yet, I want to scream and die)
I wanted to yap about these panels:
Tumblr media
In this chapter, the art style peeked here imo. Finally, Nomura put some respect on Igaguri, and I liked it since he's always been more of a comedic relief than anything else. So, I'm glad to see how seriously this scene was taken in the visual aspect. It helped to make me feel bad for him.
(Sorry guys, I don't hate him, I do find him a bit annoying at times, but, well, that was his purpose, i think? he's also part of the cast, so he has to have his moment, too. Let the monk have a few panels before he leaves)
I also liked Isagi's words for him, but...
I had mixed feelings with this line in particular:
"I'm only here because you were here."
At first, I thought it didn't make any sense for him to say that because... did Isagi and Igaguri really have such a strong friendship? Or did Igaguri impact him that much for Isagi to say that?
I tried to think of relevant scenes between them and compared them with other characters like idk Bachira, Rin, Kaiser... because I think these characters were more impactful on Isagi's character than Igaguri.
But I thought it was an unfair comparison.
Except for Bachira ofc, Rin and Kaiser are not Isagi's friends, and unlike Igaguri, they've never got to see Isagi grow to the one we know now. I think this is why we don't doubt Bachira's friendship with Isagi since they've grown in this together. Therefore, it's only fair to accept that Igaguri also had some sort of friendship with Isagi just... not as strong as with Bachira, I suppose.
Igaguri had been with Isagi since the very first day they got in Blue Lock. They saw their most pathetic side when they realised they were the worst players, they saw eachother fail matchs, they shared their questionable for a growing teenage meals, they also worked to reach higher positions to play and train together again on the NEL with the number one striker Noa... They practically saw each other grow! (yeah, I'm surprised too that Igaguri made it to here, but if Noa substituted Kunigami for him, it must have been because he, for once at least, saw potential in his plays [the foul tactic worked on RIN two times so... I think we can say he worked hard for that moment xd])
They did share moments together, and if I'm not wrong, I think Isagi came up with some tactics while training with Igaguri (I'm sorry, I don't remember how exactly the scene went. I just have a vague memory of it happening :/)
What I'm trying to say is that, in this scene, I think Isagi was acknowledging Igaguri's value as an individual.
Just right after Igaguri was begging Noa to let him stay because he hadn't any value in the market yet, meaning, he was worthless (because that's what a capitalistic society wants you to believe, so you think of ways to explotait yourself to move as much money as possible for them). Just when Igaguri's fate was scripted again by another superior figure (Noa) like his parents did with him (or God fated for him, as you wish to view it), enforcing this sentiment of worthlessness on him:
Tumblr media
Isagi comes to pat his head and reminds him that he does have value for him. Isagi recognises Igaguri, despite Noa's words or the numbers on the charts, because Igaguri's individual made his possible.
Honestly, I think that resonated a lot with me. These kids are being treated like any other product from the market, expecting them to rationalise all their actions in order for them to detach their feelings from everything they go through, making it easier to manipulate them into accepting this materialistic view of the sport that gave meaning to their lives.
So, Isagi (the one who now calls himself a machine that only wants to score goals, victim of said society) reminding Igaguri that he is not worthless and that he's actually glad of meeting him despite what the world may value or not from him... idk but it was SO emotional!
I think everyone must have felt, at least, a tiny little bit bad for Igaguri here.
Although, I do think they should have had more scenes together, and Kaneshiro should have explored more Igaguri's characters because religion and fate are very recurring themes in bllk
It would have made their interaction even more emotional and meaningful. I think this is why it threw me off at first. Igaguri was not AS impactful to Isagi as the scene tries to make us believe... (unless I've forgotten some scene between them that proves otherwise ofc)
this sucks tbh because I don't think we'll see Igaguri again after this one bruh
I still think their moment together was good. Nomura did amazing, Kaneshiro could have done with Igaguri better IMO
but that's it. I don't think I added anything valuable with this post but I wanted to get this out
Have y'all a good day, evening or night<33

not to butt in someone else's conversation but im glad more people are talking abt how ulder gets mischaracterized!!
hes one of the characters that already existed in dnd lore (for several modules even, hes an important guy lol) and its just weird how many players have decided hes either a completely absent uncaring and unloving father or this overtly strict asshole who abused wyll when the game and canon personality both go against that
i like that their relationship is complicated, but so many players are barely willing to even spare 1 minute to Consider wyll, much less ulder
don't feel like you're butting into a conversation I'm with someone publicly 😭😭😭 it's fine, i really appreciate your input 🩷🩷🩷
Honestly I never played actual DnD so I was not aware the Ulder is such a Important Character lol (I mean obv in game he is like THE GUY, one of the most important men in Baldurs Gate)
I think some people can't fathom the complexity of real human relationships, or real human characteristics in general, especially when it comes to Video games so they won't get it when it's not explicitly fed to them.
And like the little attention both of them get is really bothering me because people just look at Wyll deem him boring and then put him into timeout at camp and THEN THEY OBV DON'T EVEN WANNA GET TO KNOW ULDER OR EVEN CARE ABOUT HIM AND IT MAKES ME SO FUCKING MAD, especially since Ulder is one of the only Parents you actually get to meet in game (I'm not sure about Gale's mom but I think she's only mentioned) so a little more voice lines for him would be nice, like bro I'm gonna be your daughter in Law, react to me like pls.

I just wonder why they settled on the English title of fangs of fortune it’s like a YA novel title like, yay we’re going on a quirky happy adventure to slay some demons and make friends. Which they do, but BUT. Also where are my fangs and where is my fortune

I can’t help but think about the way that Will is said to be “fond” of his father but the man is little more than a footnote in the pages of Hannibal’s notes. I also can’t help but make the connection to Jack — Will is fond of Jack, if exasperated as well, but if Will thinks of Jack with the same fondness as his father, it’s no surprise that he would also want to kill him. I think Will, not always but often enough, substitutes “fondness” for “hate” in his fervent need to convince himself, the audience and everyone around him of his “goodness”.

I was doing the dishes at work and something made me think about the fictional purple bad guy again ughh heavy sigh. Anyways :) more headcanons. Deep sigh lmao
Messed up to think about but in my head, William was in this huge depressive slump after his son died (understandably), but then after he ends up taking Charlie’s life, he’s like…conflicted, I think, but. Oh no. Oh no, that felt…good. But he just killed somebody. A KID!! His best friend’s kid nonetheless. Freak!
But anyways, now willy has a new hobby and fucked up…COPING MECHANISM ⁉️ and now he’s seeming more like his old self, to people who know him. A spring in his step again lmao. He seems happier. Fucked up!! Typa guy to commit a fucking murder, clean up the scene, hide the body, change his clothes…and then come home to Elizabeth and Michael and be like “dad’s home!”. Terrifying!

wait y'all hear me out
suguru and sayaka... two sides of the same coin maybe???
like both of them are burdened by their powers: suguru with curse manipulation and sayaka with her healing/her wish (both contribute heavily to their demise)
suguru with how tolling swallowing curses is and sayaka with how she realized how her wish was born of selfishness (aka her just being a teenage girl. def a little too hard on herself) which goes so heavily against her ideals and morals
both are very kind and determined, genuinely caring for those around them and wanting to protect. but after deaths of certain girls (riko & mami), they begin to rethink that.
they have very strong morals that end up being their downfall. suguru didn't want jujutsu sorcerers to suffer thx to cursed spirits, and sayaka didn't want people to suffer bc of witches
and witches/cursed spirits are born from negative energy!!!
both have annoying partners that disagree with their ideals (satoru abt sorcerers and kyouko abt witches/familiars), but those partners are the last people they see before they die. bonus: they also both kill them! :D
idk i may be yapping bc im sleepy but this thought popped into my mind and i really wanna explain it better but that's jus not gon happen rn
anywhos pls tell me if someone is seeing the vision

Hi I am rambling about that red magic lady again sorry for the bad English
I can't stop thinking about Wanda and the. 'Lagos incident'
Like she's trying to save people...and yes she did... She saved those People who are on the ground, she saved Steve...she literally saves so many people that day and People still blame her for the incident....Brock Rumlow is the one carrying the bomb, Rumlow is the one who detonated the bomb....yet people blame it on her because of an accident, she did not mean to throw that bomb on the building she's trying to throw it in the sky...I mean the whole place is surrounded by people....where the hell did people expecting her to throw it? And also the bomb exploded already on the ground when Rumlow pressed the button... it's a miracle that she caught it... Do you people really think that she would throw a bomb in a building full of people?? did y'all see how she reacted after that happened?
God...her reaction when it exploded she must've felt so horrible that day, she try to do a good thing and she messed up...
I hate the fact that people blame Wanda on the 'Lagos incident' when it's Rumlow's fault...it makes me so sad that Wanda just accepted it...RAhHHhhhHh I am just so irritated...she did a good thing that day...she SAVES LIVES she did that with good intent.. It pissed me off that people put Lagos in the "horrible" things Wanda had done it pissed me off when people used Lagos 'prove' that Wanda is a 'bad' person..I fucking hate it when people acts like it's Wanda's fault that Bomb exploded I m gonna bite people I am gonna bite Thaddeus Ross I am gonna bite everyone that believe that Wanda did that with bad intention

In the back of my mind I will always assign a Tasmanian Devil as Karkat’s fursona. One reason is that he just seems like a marsupial. The other is that Tasmanian Devils are genuinely so inbred that they have TWO types of contagious/transmissible cancer.
Which is interesting for the character for a few reasons, but also because I’m so enraptured by how the genetics work on Alternia/Beforus. Because trolls in the same generation are all related but they don’t have a concept of blood relation like we do (at least w/ regard to the slurry they come from). Because there’s so much DNA getting mixed in there, it might be diverse enough to keep them from getting fucked over + mutations usually lead to them being culled,,,, idk. It’s so interesting to me and I really want to do a dive into troll genetics at some point.
Like idk if we CAN can them inbred,,, can we ? Because technically that’s kind of what’s happening, but also. Bugs. Technically, yes they’re inbreeding but also I think the population size might be so big. I also can’t tell if they’re K or R selected,,,,

Sighh i feel like yapping here's why my OCs Liv and Perdita are horrible for eachother.
Imagine you're completely stripped of human interaction for 2 years and suddenly you find this sentient computer which can talk just like a human being. A computer thay also has been stripped of any interaction. But at least the human had the possibility to express themselves. To move. To feel. To cry. But the computer was stuck there on its little table, doing nothing, unable to do anything tbh. So already from the start they're not in a great place mentally. Perdita being this very defensive, very rebellious type of person and Liv being this very organised, very emotional type of computer kind of makes their personalities clash a bit yk? They're both very fragile people, under a very stressful situation, where they're both fighting for survival, since neither of them want the other to die. Perdita misses her old friend group (doru, laila, even petru) and she tells LIV a lot about them. Liv's rational side tells her that she should be understanding, but her true feelings are envy and jealousy, hence the part where she says "i want to be you". And Perdita rarely reacts positively, all her therapist skills having been thrown down the drain. So it's a rlly toxic dynamic where they both cling onto eachother, essentially making eachother worse and worse, but they can't see that, because all that perdita has left is Liv and all that liv has left is perdita.
