Watching Naruto and Sasuke fight Kaguya from the sidelines was not as safe as it should have been. Blasted by the alien goddess, Kakashi and Sakura find themselves twenty-five years in the past. A familiar war is brewing and the village is filled with ghosts. Is it real or some strange version of the Infinite Tsukuyomi? With no way to know for sure, their options are limited. They should probably leave things alone, but familiar silver hair proves too great a temptation

i figured out how yamato got his name!

so this is a panel from chapter 281 and its where sai is assigned on team seven and he's given his mission from danzo

there's a paper/poster glued to the column with 'yamato works' written on it.

so it can be assumed that this is a ROOT location

andyou can see in the kakashi anbu filler arc the root base where the sandaime takes yamato out of ROOT

the difference is uncanny, its probably the same location, that or danzo has a favored base layout

Yamato / Tenzō headcanons from me, #1:

-gender

Yamato is a trans man. He never really thought much on what he was born as and just kinda followed along with what felt right. He was partly, in a way, allowed this during early years simply because Danzo thought it would be beneficial for the kid to be as broken off from his past as possible and find strength in this new "uncaring" one (My mind doesn't focus on Danzo as much, so hopefully that isn't too far from character. So have a not so good "ally" in a sense Danzo).

Signs of it not being the path Danzo thought it was/wanted began when Yamato took a name for himself and started the journey that would be a path of finding something for himself over time, piecing together "Tenzō" and later on "Yamato".

Nowadays he doesn't think much on it, unless reminded, as at this point seeing himself as a guy is thankfully there as much as any other function of one's being.

(Even though Yamato isn't a kin for me yet- I think. I tend to jinx myself when I say this- I just had to do this headcanon for him cause he, no joke, looked a lot like how I looked when I was a kid and I myself am a trans guy. Thus this brings me much serotonin.)
