messed around with a pose from Pinterest. It's supposed to be baby Tenzō not long after they'd brought him home in Dreams, but he looks at little younger than he should be. I couldn't figure out how to make him look older, 😂 I can only do so much. Colored their hair with my phone again. It's so ridiculous 😂😂 They're not naked, I just didn't give them clothes.

As a Chiefs fan I reject. As a Kakashi fan, I love this though? 😂😂
Kakashi is an Eagles fan...
*Per request from the nieceling who I promised at the beginning of the season, that if her team (the Philadelphia Eagles) made it to the Super Bowl, I'd draw her fav character (just happens to be Kakashi because she has good taste) in her fav player (Jalen Hurts)'s jersey

Wuthering Heights is garbage but Jane Eyre is the best period romance drama of all time.
Dracula is also good.
i’m so sorry for the typo. justice for wuthering heights.

sasuke: *opens it* yes?
kakashi: *infomercial voice* have you been feeling depressed since your brother murdered your entire clan? have you been living life for the sole purpose of revenge, days empty of anything but training and pain? well i have the solution for you! introducing . . .
sasuke:
kakashi: *pulls puppy out of nowhere* DOGS! a constant companion, the light of your life and bane of your existence, they'll never leave you alone and and the sheer power of their eyes alone is enough to guilt you out of self hatred! having an animal's existence depending on your ability to wake in the morning and feed them is a GREAT way to stave off the wish to not wake in the morning!

I have never personally ran into this, but I tend to participate in exclusively non cannon communities so 🤷🏽♀️ that being said, I had the idea for a HP/ATLA fic that would have had Draco/Katara and Hermione/Zuko amongst others and I occasionally consider doing something with it. Xovers can be so fun. Anyone not interested in stuff not cannon is fr missing out!
I'm going to say something that will make sense to the Fandom Olds and will probably be slightly controversial to the younger crowds, but I'm going to say it anyways
TPTB becoming increasingly aware of fandom and fanfiction over the past two-ish decades and thus, the spawning of the expectation of your ship going canon has ruined fandom a little bit
I mean, fandom does a great job of ruining itself a lot of the time, but this idea that a ship isn't "real" or "valid" if it isn't canon
or the idea that one ship is superior to the other because one is canon and the other isn't?
it's absolutely bananas
I grew up in an era of fandom where characters didn't even have to be from the same media source to ship them. I mean, do you know how many BtVS/HP crossover fics I read back in the early 2000s???
That shit was never gonna be canon, but we had fun with it, anyways
Like. Yeah, a lot of fanon speculation is bullshit, but it always has been and always will be. You have hundreds and/or thousands of people riffing off each other, the observations and the meta will always be deeper than what TPTB intended, and that's okay! That's what makes it fun!
I just think more people would be a lot happier in their fandom experiences if they realized that fandom is supposed to be an escape instead of a crusade

Well damn that was so good too. Does sasuke mean she needs to let HIM go or Kakashi? 😂 thank you for sharing this!!
oh look, more isekai...what everyone wanted
I'm pretty sure only MSH and tea have seen this, but I've been rummaging through my isekai folder so I figured I'd share. If i've shared before, welp, just keep going. This is a deleted scene. I really like this scene. I thought it was really important, but I felt that it needed more to really have a place in the fic and at the time I wanted to finish the fic and get it out (because I was excited about it and tired of writing it) So i guess it wasn't all that important (it is! it explains Kakashi and Sasuke's relationship a little bit).
blah blah blah no one cares.
BUT! if you haven't read isekai, this won't make any sense.
If I had to take a stab, this was intially the connector of chapter 5 & 6? or just somewhere in chapter 6.
Also, if you have long bits of text to add to Tumblr, I always just open a 'new work' in AO3 and let AO3 format it for me
When Obito gave Kakashi that ultimatum, a lot of things weren’t considered.
Like Kakashi getting hit by a bus.
Getting hit by a bus and flitting off to a place, quite literally a billion light years from reality. From Obito.
Obito.
When he promised Obito, really promised for real, I swear, to kick the stuff, he was only allowed to stay in the hospital two extra days. After that Obito took him to the empty storage closet at Minato’s gym that would eventually become Kakashi’s home and locked them both in until Obito deemed him “clean.”
And with a month's supply of poptarts and granola bars, they waited.
Waited for the voice, the urge, the need to calm. For the pain in his arm, the pain his head, the pain all over to stop. For voice to ebb to a tolerable white noise that whispered constantly, but quietly. Eventually, Kakashi learned to shove that voice to the back of his mind, to let Obito’s loud, brash, obnoxious voice settle front and center like a conscious.
To this day, a million, billion light years from home, the craving itched at the back of his skull. Like his eye; a phantom feeling that was always there. Always waiting for him to lower his guard, to let Obito slip from his mind. To strike.
Some days rubbing the glass eye was enough. To remind him of Obito. Of his promise. His reminder as his arm pulsed. Itched. Begged.
But other times-
Kakashi stood in the middle of the hospital lobby, gripping his arm tightly. It itched. It itched like the pulse in his eye. A thirst that couldn’t be quenched. An ache that could only go away with one thing.
It was the only thing. The most important thing. He dug his nails in the skin until it hurt. Until the skin threatened to break, to open up to allow it back in.
Just a little-
He swallowed thickly, clenching his jaw as he felt himself tremble. He needed it. Like food, like water, air wasn’t enough-
He clenched his eyes shut as his chest seized.
“Can I help you?” A small hand was on his back.
He twitched violently, swiping out.
He could imagine how he looked. Ashen, sweaty, one eye red around the edges and the other dead.
“Sa-Sakura.” He stammered, feeling his fingers dig deeply into his skin. “I-I need Sakura.” He nodded, looking around. Obito wasn’t here. If Obito had been, he’d know what to do. He’d been there for him before. He knew what to do.
But Obito was a million, billion miles away and Sakura was here. Everything calmed when he thought of her, even a little. Her and her glowy hands could do something. He wasn’t sure exactly what, but he knew she’d be able to help him. She could dull the ache. She could make it go away. She could-
Kakashi’s heart lurched when the woman’s face tightened. Her lips pressing together in a firm line. Kakashi’s world shattered as she shook her head.
“She’s not here. She left for Suna yesterday.”
Sakura is gone
Kakashi felt the world drop from under him. He swore loudly, the woman jumping back. The world shifted around Kakashi but he didn’t care.
What am I supposed to do now?!
His brain pulsed, the voice in his mind growing louder and louder and he spun, gripping his arm. It throbbed. “How-How long.” She had told him. She had told him many times, but his brain couldn’t focus. It needed one of two things and now it couldn’t have either-
The woman, dressed in white, shook her head. “Two weeks. For a conference.”
He swore again. His mind raced. His blood boiled. The woman made a noise and Kakashi looked down; red tendrils of blood trailed from his fingers at his arm to his wrist.
His chest squeezed as his mind screamed.
If Sakura had been here…
“Obito…” The floor rose up to meet him as his lungs seized. He couldn’t breathe. He was going to die. Die.
Or I can find it.
Kakashi’s head snapped. His brain swirling. There had to be some here. His eyes shot for the door. Kakashi was a street rat. He could find it. He could figure out who sold it. He had money. He had lots of money.
His blood ran cold before it sang.
He was on his feet, shoving the woman out of his way as the voice in his mind became his own.
This is a large place. It’s bound to be here. I just have to open my eyes and-
Kakashi jolted, pain serating him.
Kakashi felt his mind clear. His heart raced as he looked around; like he was in a tunnel. Then he was engulfed in darkness before a blinding light made him double over. He shook his head and blinked. He looked up to see a figure with dark hair and a scowl.
Kakashi’s arm burned but his heart soared.
“Obito-”
Obito blinked and Red and Purple filled his vision. Kakashi took a step back, tripping over his feet as he let out a yelp. The pain in his arm increased and he looked down.
He screamed.
His arm was tethered to the ground with tight cords that shot up from the ground.
“You’re scaring the nurses.”
Kakashi shook his head, his brain fuzzy as he tried to focus on the nurses. “Obito?”
“I told you to get your head out of your ass.”
Kakashi pulled on his arm but the cords just drew tighter. He pulled harder. His arm wouldn’t give and his lungs burned. He took in a heavy gasp, yanking at his arm as his body shook. Purple and Red danced around as he looked back down to his arm, screaming.
The cords were moving higher, up his arm and around his chest. He couldn’t breathe. He was going to die.
His arm pulsed with his heart. With his eye.
“Please.” Kakashi choked out. Pulling on his arm.
The cords released as he fell to the ground. Tears pooled in his right eye as his left socket pulsed. “Please, Obito.” He closed his eyes.
“Help.”
The air rushed out of Kakashi’s lungs. He inhaled deeply, coughing as it was suddenly brighter. He looked down to see light brown dirt. He heard the sounds of the village.
Kakashi felt something gentle on his chin. The lacquer of a sheath. It gently lifted his head.
Uchiha’s purple and red eyes blinked to obsidian. He watched Kakashi carefully. “I’m not Obito,” he drawled. His eyes roamed Kakashi’s body, pausing on his arm, pulsing beneath his nails.
Uchiha pulled his sheath away, placing it back on his hip. He moved towards Kakashi.
Kakashi tripped backwards, but Uchiha was fast, gripping him by the shirt tightly before lifting him to his feet.
“Oi, oi.” Kakashi’s head snapped to where Naruto and Yamato-sensei stood a few feet away. “Sasuke-”
“Let’s go.” His grip almost threatened to rip Kakashi’s shirt as he hauled him away.
III
Kakashi forced himself to breathe through his nose as his entire body pulsed. “Your eye…it can do something for this? Yeah?” Everything hurt. Everything.
Kakashi lifted his head, watching Uchiha move around his kitchen with easy, preparing tea. It was weird.
“You did this to yourself?” It wasn’t really a question. Kakashi didn’t answer. Uchiha didn’t need one. “No,” it was like a nail in his coffin, “I won’t.” Uchiha glanced up at him. “You must know the pain.”
Part of Kakashi knew this, knew that this was his penance, and the other half wanted to punch Uchiha. To take his sword and ram it through his gut. To take that tea cup and throw scalding tea at him and then bludgeon him with the tea kettle. Even though he knew the other man could easily take him down.
Anger and rage built up in Kakashi’s gut as Uchiha sat down at his kotatsu and carefully made tea.
For one.
Kakashi’s lip curled as Uchiha sipped tea.
“How long?” Uchiha asked after a few minutes. “How long does this usually last?”
Kakashi was silent. His body pulsing painfully. “Forever.” Kakashi mumbled, another nail on the coffin.
He would be like this forever. He knew this. But admitting it out loud?
It-it always hurt.
Kakashi rubbed his left eye, ignoring the burn in the right.
He swallowed thickly, wincing. He cleared his throat, nodding. “Forever.”
Uchiha studied him for a moment before blinking. When he opened his eyes again, they were dark. Like Obito’s. He nodded. “Then we wait. Forever.”
III
On bad days, Kakashi called Obito. As long as he wasn’t at work, Obito answered. On ok-bad days, just hearing his voice was enough. Bad-bad Obito came to his place in the closet and talked. And didn’t stop. It numbed it all until Kakashi was, at the very least, ok-bad again.
Uchiha did not talk. He sat there, watching him.
It made Kakashi’s skin crawl.
That was until Uchiha had tried to relate. Kakashi had rather him not. At least not while he was leaning up against the wall, wrapped in a blanket as he shivered and burned at the same time, his mind crying for just a little.
Despite that, Kakashi clung to Uchiha’s words. “What did you mean?” Kakashi inhaled deeply. “What did you mean by the ghost of your brethren?”
Kakashi wasn’t sure if he nodded off or spaced out, but he jerked alert when Uchiha whispered.
“My brother killed everyone.” He sounded reluctant. Kakashi pulled his head up. Uchiha was staring at him. “My brother killed my clan. He left one survivor.”
Me.
“That’s rough.” Kakashi’s head was pounding. Everything ached. “What happened to your brother?” He swallowed thickly.
He blinked up at Uchiha. He was studying his cup.
Uchiha Sasuke was a man of few words. Stoic and reserved.
But just as easy to read as Obito.
The pain in his eyes made Kakashi’s stomach lurch. “What did you do to him?”
Sasuke didn’t look up. He clenched his jaw.
Kakashi felt ill, and it didn’t have to do with his body. “Did…did you kill your brother?”
Uchiha’s jaw shifted. He blinked. His eyes began to shine.
Kakashi looked away, internalizing his body’s own pain.
He knew it wasn’t real pain. It was his brain telling him he was in pain. That it wasn’t real.
“Obito-”
“Why did you try to find Sakura?” There was a darkness in his voice. He didn’t really think it had to do with Sakura.
Kakashi looked down at his arm. Sasuke had wrapped it when they got here. “She would have made the pain go away.”
They were silent.
“It is one of her weaknesses,” Uchiha agreed, “she-”
“-helping people is not a weakness.” Kakashi said darkly.
Uchiha blinked. Kakashi felt him peel back Kakashi’s layers like an onion, leaving him bare and open. He tried not to shiver.
Eventually, Uchiha broke eye contact. “You’re correct.
“But Sakura is too kind. She doesn’t know how to tell people no.” Sasuke’s eyes darkened, “doesn’t know when to let go.”
Kakashi paused. His head was swirling. Pulsing.
Sasuke had just said something important. But usually what he said was important. He wasn’t like Naruto, he didn’t waste words.
Kakashi shook his head. “Why are you here?” He swallowed thickly, leaning his head against the wall. “You should hate me.”
“I do,” Kakashi didn’t bother containing his laughter. “But I understand the pain of past regrets.” Kakashi lifted his head to look at Uchiha. His eyes drifted down to his arm. Or where his arm should have been. Sasuke was watching him carefully. “We can forge new paths, but we must always remember the paths behind us.”
Kakashi laughed incredulously. “I promise you. I won’t forget.” he muttered. Kakashi groaned, shrugging, “you could ease the pain, though.”
Sasuke hummed, taking a sip of tea. “But you’re forgetting that I don’t like you.”
