Note
I have a request if that's OK can you do Yandere class 1a(romantic) (and Yandere eraser mic platonic ofc) x reader with powers like starfire or raven
Tumblr media
Sure and I'll go with the reader having powers like Starfire if that's okay with you and I sincerely apologize if this sucked
Tumblr media
You were a part of class 1A and over a period of time, they started growing obsessed and possessive of you so much that you weren't even allowed to hang out with students from the other classes. To say you had powers was an understatement, you were basically a walking weapon with your abilities of being able to fly, shooting laser beams from your eyes and hands, superhuman strength and agility. You aced the UA entrance exam like it was nothing and left everyone awed and speechless of your powers. You were soon sorted into class 1A after you received your acceptance letter and you became friends with your classmates, unaware of their darker masked desires and hidden intentions for you
You were book smart but when it came to figuring out the intentions your classmates had for you, you were quite naive indeed. The other day Monoma, TetsuTetsu and Kendou wanted to hang out with you and you agreed to hang out with them, when your classmates found out about your plans to hang out with some other class instead of them, they were annoyed and their jealousy bubbled inside him. They usually couldn't stand each other at times, each of them wanting to have you for themselves, however during times like this they were forced to work together. "HAH!? TF DO YOU MEAN HANGING OUT WITH THAT BLONDE RAT!? NO WAY!" yelled Bakugou as he muttered profanities and cursed under his breath while threatening to blast Monoma to the orbit. Uraraka, Momo and Mina had resorted to trying to guilt trip you by telling you that you barely ever hang out with them and you wanted to spend time with other people instead of them. Even the usually calm Deku and Kirishima had dark looks plastered across their faces, looking deep in thought while Iida was busy lecturing you as usual about how you shouldn't ignore your classmates when they wanted to spend time with you and besides, you also had homework to do and started listing out every possible reason why you couldn't hang out with the class 1B students
Eventually you ended up giving in and decided to have a movie night in the common room with your classmates since they just wouldn't stop with the incessant pestering. You don't know what it is they've done, but they've done something for sure since no one from class 1B decided to approach you the next day. Even Monoma kept his distance from you and scurried off in the opposite direction as your spotted a few scars on his face and hands which your dear classmates may or may not have caused. They won't allow anyone else to steal you away from them, you're theirs. From hanging out with Shoji and Koda and playing with Koda's pet bunnies to helping Sato bake his goodies and doing homework with Iida and Shoto to going shopping with the girls, you feel like your classmates are monopolizing your time way too much but you can't really do anything about it, how could you possibly prove that they're in the wrong for wanting to spend time with you?
Your teachers are of no help either whatsoever, Aizawa sensei and Present Mic think it's a GOOD thing your classmates are so protective and possessive of you. They're worried you might become reckless one day and your powers might end up hurting you which is the last thing they all want, so it's like a mutual silent agreement and understanding between them to keep an eye on you and protect you. Even if they have to get their hands dirty. Aizawa and Mic see you as one of their own kids to take care of and they take that role VERY seriously. The other day some random dude actually had the GUTS and audacity to try slipping in a love note into your locker while Aizawa was passing by and his eyes narrowed as he wrapped the guy in his scarves and gave him detention for the rest of the semester every day. If someone dares to make the mistake of bullying you, Mic would be the one to deal with that by using his quirk on them to make their eardrums literally BLEED till they apologize
Now, about your powers, it's a tricky situation. As much as they all love you for who you are and how capable you are to take care of yourself, they're also worried you might end up getting hurt one day because of them. No way in hell would Aizawa ever give you strenuous training tasks despite your whining and pleading, you could get hurt. They ALWAYS have eyes everywhere and they know your every move no matter what. Some of your classmates have literally resorted to stalking the living daylights out of you and you're still unaware of the secret cameras placed in your room, courtesy of Iida when you both had that study session a few days ago. Your every movement is now watched by all your classmates and your teachers as well. They don't even realize they're doing something wrong and they're lost so far in their delusion, they think they're just doing their jobs as good heroes in protecting you, their loved one and keeping you safe
Denki, Kirishima, Sero, Hagakure and Ojiro think your powers are cool but the rest of them are really worried for your safety. You always get lectured by Iida whenever you end up doing something risky and Deku would just be pleading with you to never do something like this again while Bakugou would lovingly insult you to knock some sense into your head. You are NOT to be fighting villains, they've all established that already and made that rule VERY clear. If there's a villain attack at some point, you'll be taken to safety because they do not want you engaging into such dangerous stuff. Look, you might have strong powers and you might be a good fighter but that still doesn't mean they'll let you fight villains and criminals, you'll always be seen as someone naive and sheltered in their eyes, someone they need to protect from the darkness of the world. But not to worry though, after the villains are dealt with (Or probably murdered), Aoyama will comfort you with cheese, Momo will make you some tea and Jirou will play some of her music for you as you'll spend the rest of your time surrounded by your classmates once again, your teachers pleased with the turn of events of the extreme lengths your classmates are willing to take to protect you. What sort of heroes would they be if they can't ensure their loved one's safety after all?

Heroes W/ S/O Like Queen B
Shota Aizawa X Fem!Reader, Taishiro Toyomitsu X Fem!Reader, Rumi Usagiyama X Fem!Reader, Hizashi Yamada X Fem!Reader
Requested: Anon
Request: I loved your villains with Queen B helluvaboss😁 may I please request queen B but with the pro heroes Aizawa, Fatgum, Mirko, Or even present Mic And they even like when she sings her song, “cotton candy” That would be pretty cool?
Shota Aizawa
🐛 You are not the type of person that anyone expects Aizawa to be with, you were the complete opposite colourful and sweet, most of the time. 🐛 You were popular amongst the younger kids and some of the teens, he was not surprised when he heard his class talking about you. 🐛 That extends to him hearing people singing your songs, he always thought that the song sounded best when you were singing it. 🐛 The best part of his day was when he’d come home to you humming or singing to yourself as you carried out everyday tasks.
Today had been taxing, 1A had been particularly testy and he had had to step in and stop a number of fights between the classmates and everyone else in the building. Not to mention all the other kids constantly goading the top class in hopes that they could get a rise from them. Honestly it was all childish behaviour and usually he would ignore it but today it so happened that it was his job to deal with it.
He walked into his room at the UA apartments and instantly relaxed when he heard you singing softly, he walked into the kitchen to see that you were frowning to yourself as you cooked. “What’s going on?” He asked as he walked up behind you gently wrapping his arms around your waist. “Nothing…” You answered as you changed the tune you were humming before shaking your head, crossing something out on a piece of paper a little bit away from you. “I’m trying to figure out the next few songs for the album.” “Mmm.” He hummed “I’m sure that you’ll make something amazing.” “You say that every time.” You narrowed your eyes as you let your head fall backwards to rest against his shoulder. “Have I been wrong?” He asked. “That is not the point.” You giggled as you squeezed his hands before continuing to make dinner. “How was your day?” You asked. “Hectic.” He answered “the kids are getting antsy.” “How so?” You asked. “1B is being particularly antagonistic.” Aizawa mumbled, pressing his face into your shoulder. “Well it’s not your problem anymore, let them fend for themselves for a little while.” You said softly, turning off the food and turning around in his grip. “Mmm, only if you show me those songs.” He said softly and you nodded. “Seems like a fair trade.” You finally nodded.
Tumblr media
Taishiro Toyomitsu
🍡 You are the best thing that has ever happened to him period. 🍡 You have all the food that he needs, he’ll often come find you because according to him the best food he has had is the food that you have made for him. 🍡 Not to mention he’s always been a fun guy, he loves watching you perform any of your songs and even showed up if you filmed music videos, just for the support. 🍡 If he’s got paperwork to do or just odd jobs that require him to be able to hear everything going on around him, you can guarantee that your music is playing, through speaker or pair of earphones.
You are supposed to be meeting Tai for lunch, he had told you that he had been bogged down with paperwork. You knew that meant that he couldn’t leave the office but that didn’t mean that you couldn’t bring something to the office for him.
You walked into his agency and you could hear it before you even fully stepped into the lobby, a song from your newest album blaring from Tai’s office “has he been playing that all day?” You mumbled to yourself. “All week actually.” Kirishima corrected you, you glanced over at him and Tamaki sitting in the break area. “I’m so sorry.” Your face took on pity you couldn’t imagine dealing with someone playing the same album on repeat when it wasn’t your choice. “Ah it’s not so bad.” Kirishima waved you off but you didn’t believe him, instead you made a new promise. “I’m going to get him to stop playing that album.” You promised, you could hear Tamaki muttering something but you didn’t quite catch it as you made your way towards the office.
He didn’t even look up with you walked in confirming an earlier thought against knocking as he was unlikely to be able to hear you. You walked over to his desk gently knocking on the wood of his desk, he looked up at you and smiled pushing hush chair back and opening his arm. “There she is.” He cheered as you looked around the room trying to locate the control for the sound system. “You won’t find it.” “Where is it, you can’t keep subjecting everyone to this.” You stepped around the table reaching for the desk drawers, opening and closing each of them when you came up empty. “I’m not subjecting anyone to anything, I’m gifting them this.” Tai answered. “I’m not sure that everyone thinks that.” You continued searching still not finding anything, finally you turned to him, realising the many pockets on his hero suit. “Then they shouldn’t be working here.” Taishiro grabbed at your waist when you were close enough. “You shouldn’t joke like that.” You smacked his shoulder as you straddled his lap, hands moving to his pockets, he grabbed your wrist, the movement caused the control to peek out of his pocket, your tail shot out to grab it far to quickly for Taishiro to comprehend. The music cut off and you almost heard the collective sigh from everyone outside of the room. “You're no fun.” Tai pouted and you smirked and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “I’m plenty of fun but no one needs to hear my music that much.” You muttered as he opened his mouth to protest. “I don’t want to hear it, it’s lunch time, let's eat.”
Tumblr media
Rumi Usagiyama
🐇 You and Mirko are the power couple of the century, the wolf and the rabbit, most villains were terrified if you two were the ones after them. 🐇 Mirko was never not promoting your music, she loved it and she honestly didn’t care what others thought. 🐇 You were never too bothered by hate that found its way to you through your music career but Mirko often took it as a personal offence and stood up for you in any way that she could, that often worried her PR team but like I said before she doesn’t care. 🐇 Mirko liked when you sang for her and only her, so she’d often ask for a performance at home, where it was just the two of you.
You’d been home for a while before Mirko came in, so long that you had showered changed and started dinner. You heard the door open and smiled when she peered around the kitchen door to look at you. “Good, your home.” She grinned as she walked towards you pressing a kiss to your temple “you’ve been working too hard lately.” “The same could be said for you.” You argued as you turned off the food walking “everything is ready, go wash up while I plate up everything.” “Fine.” She walked towards the bedroom and through to the bathroom while you continued with the food.
After eating you were both in the living room, the news playing softly in the background not that either of you were really paying attention, Mirko had pulled you onto her lap both of you talking in hushed tones about your day and the people that you had spoken to. “You know I missed you today.” Mirko changed the subject, she had been talking about some boring meeting that she’d had to attend, the only reprieve being that she was with Hawks, he made it a lot more bearable. “Missed me? You saw me this morning.” You pressed your finger to her nose and nipped at the air attempting to catch it as you pulled away. “I didn’t have time to listen to you today, usually I hear your voice throughout the day.” She explained. “Mmm.” You hummed. “Where is this going?” “I think after such a stressful day I’m entitled to a personal performance.” Adjusting you to sit facing her she knocked her nose against yours drawing your attention to her. “Personal performance?” You asked. “Whatever song you want.” The grin never left her face and her eyes never strayed from yours. “Right now?” You asked. “Is that a problem?” Mirko asked. “Just a bit sudden, I didn’t have a performance on my schedule today.” You shrugged and she leaned up lips next to your ear. “Come on for me?” And of course you did it.
Tumblr media
Hizashi Yamada
🎙 This man has a radio show… I don’t think there is anyone who hasn’t heard whatever your newest song at the time is. 🎙 He will have his own renditions of your song whether that’s covers or remixes, literally dedicates a whole segment to you, man has no chill and also doesn’t know how to keep what he deems small insignificant secrets so that segment is usually dedicated to disproving rumours and telling little secrets. 🎙 No.1 fan, no one hears the end of him talking about you, Aizawa knows more than he should about you. 🎙 Your work colleagues are always calling you telling you that you need to listen to whatever your boyfriend is rambling about because it’s hilarious.
You groaned as you continued to listen to Hizashi continue to enthusiastically rant on about whatever it is that he’s talking about, you had stopped listening a little while ago but it had started with the newest villain arrest that you had made. You were heading to the studio considering Hizashi had gone well over what he had told you was the segmented time for his rant.
“There you are, I tried telling him a few times that he’s going over.” You nodded as you listened to the show runner who was leaning you towards Hizashi’s studio. He opened the door and you rolled your eyes at Hizashi sitting with his feet kicked up as he talked. “You need to end this show.” You said walking towards him but he just laughed. “There she is!” Hizashi cheered. “No, say goodbye to your listeners, time to go.” You ordered. “But I haven’t even played your new song yet.” He whined. “Who’s fault is that?” You pushed his chair away from the mic and leaned forward. “I’m so sorry guys, it looks like he’s gotten carried away again, you’ll have to tune in tomorrow to hear my new release.” You signalled to the other show operators on the other side of the glass and waited for the on-air light to go off before turning to Hizashi. “We’ve talked about this, do you remember what happened with Aizawa?” “I missed you.” He mumbled reaching for you, you rolled your eyes and lifted your hand lacing your fingers together. “That does not need to be everyone else’s problem.” You squeezed his hand prompting him to pull you forward, as he made a noise of disapproval wrapping an arm around you and resting his head on your stomach. “I’m finished now, so how about you pack up and we head home, spend the rest of the evening together.” “Really?” He asked. “Really.” You nodded, he stood from her chair before you had fully stepped back waving to everyone and announcing that he was leaving, while dragging you behind him. You rolled your eyes as you followed after him waving to everyone as you did, some of them mouthing a ‘thank you’.

Look at the stars. Look how they shine for you. — MHA x fem!OC One-Shot
Tumblr media
Characters: Shota Aizawa (Eraserhead), Nemuri Kayama (Midnight), Yoru Aizawa (fem!OC), Hizashi Yamada (Present Mic, mentioned), Oboro Shirakumo (Loud Cloud, mentioned) Hitoshi Shinso (mentioned), Yaeko Shinso (OC, Hitoshi's mother, mentioned), cats (called Sleepy, Toshi, and Cloud), Uni (Yoru's unicorn plushie), Mrs. Kubo (Yoru's kindergarten teacher, mentioned)
Summary: Yoru finds out that her Dad has a new tattoo.
Word count: ~ 2,6k
Reading time: 15–20 mins
Genre: fluff, small hints of angst (OC thinks back to a bad experience in the past)
Warnings: none, Nemuri refers to her “lady parts” in one instance, Yoru remembers a bad experience from the past
Setting: Prequel, Yoru is four years old. This story is set in the universe of my fan fiction series “Shadows of Our Past, Present, and (possible) Future”. You can read it on AO3 >>here<< or find out more about it >>here<<. It can still be read as a fluffy one-shot without having read the story, though I think it feels more impactful if you at least read the prequel first.
Song: Yellow — Coldplay (link to Spotify)
Author's Note: This is based on a >>request<<. For a visual representation of Shota's tattoos, you can find them >>here<<.
Read on AO3: You can read it on AO3 >>here<<.
Don't copy, steal, or plagiarize my stuff. Please and thank you.

Look at the stars. Look how they shine for you.
Yoru knows the sounds.
She always stays awake for them. Though, this time, trying to stay awake is a little bit more difficult after Muri read her a really nice bedtime story about a rainbow fish with colorful and glittery scales that he shared with other fish and made them happy because then every other fish looked pretty just like the rainbow fish.
But she manages to stay awake, fighting against big yawns and heavy eyelids until she hears the sounds of heavy footsteps that try to be as quiet as possible and the rattling of keychains that sound so familiar, Yoru might even be able to mimic the sounds on her little DJ set she got from Santa a while ago.
“Uni,” Yoru whispers. “Daddy’s home. Did you hear?”
Uni, as per usual, is more the quiet type, so she doesn’t reply, but that’s fine. Yoru knows that Uni heard Mister Caterpillar Daddy coming back home, too. Sleepy and Toshi and Cloud (all nestled around Yoru) heard him come home, too, because they make those little chirping noises that they sometimes make and that always remind Yoru of the doves in the park.
She hears him talk in a low and quiet voice with Muri for a moment, before the soft light that shines from the living room into her open bedroom gets disturbed by a tall something peeking into her room that casts a shadow on Yoru in her bed. Yoru, who’s supposed to be sleeping.
So, she quickly shuts her eyes and pretends.
A few moments later, the tall something that blocked the light leaves again. It’s what he always does when he isn’t home, and it’s Zashi or Muri tugging Yoru into bed. Daddy comes home, checks on Yoru, washes his hands, takes a shower and talks to Zashi or Muri before getting ready for bed himself. Or he’s looking at some boring letters or papers that Yoru’s not allowed to draw on.
“Everything okay today?”
“Yep. An angel, as always. Look, I even got two new braids.” Muri quietly but happily seems to show off the pretty braids Yoru put into her hair after they (more Muri than Yoru) cleaned the kitchen after dinner. “Though, would you mind explaining why Yoru asked me if I would be the one training with her today?”
“She probably asked you because I was on patrol and not available.”
“That’s not what I mean, Shota. I mean, what does she mean with ‘training’?”
Pause.
“Hand-to-hand.”
“WHAT-”
“Shhh!”
Another pause.
Oh, no!
Did Yoru get her Dad into trouble with Muri? Muri doesn’t sound happy. She hugs Uni a little bit tighter.
“It’s just a bit of self-defense. And she has fun while training.”
“Clearly.” Muri scoffs. “She smiled while she punched me in my lady parts.”
Pause.
“Sorry.” A sigh. Then, another pause. “But was it a solid hit?”
“Are you- yes, it was. As well as a four-year-old can hit, at least. But that’s not the point, you idiot. She can’t go around punching people between the legs out of nowhere.”
“Well, it was training. And she knows that’s a good area to hit your opponent.”
“Yes, except, I am a woman, in case you haven’t noticed. So, I didn’t topple down like a guy who got punched in the di-”
“Kayama!” Daddy whisper shouts, stopping Muri mid-sentence. For whatever reason. It’s weird, though. He doesn’t like to be interrupted, and he doesn’t like doing it to other people, either. What was Muri about to say?
“Fine, fine, whatever. Little ears and all, I know. Anyway, how was patrol?”
“Same as always. Drunk morons, one purse-snatcher, otherwise pretty quiet.”
“Any cats?”
“Hilarious.”
“Well, were there?”
Pause.
“Yes.”
“I knew it! And I bet you took pictures again, too, right? To show her in the morning?”
“Obviously.”
Yes! New cat pictures! Yoru loves those. Her Daddy always finds the cutest cats when he’s a hero.
But Yoru has no idea what a ‘persatcher’ is. Or was it ‘purr satcher’?
Are there people who steal cats?
That would be scary.
Yoru’s glad Sleepy and her children are safe and sound at home and not on the street anymore, where it’s dangerous and cold and people could snatch you and steal you anytime.
Muri breaks Yoru out of her scary memories. “But you didn’t break a sweat, right?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you’re not allowed to sweat with new tattoos, right? At least for like a day or two or something?”
New tattoos? What?
“It’s actually about a week, better if you don’t excessively sweat for a couple, really. But to answer your question, no. I’ve still got the protective film dressing wrapped around it. Too soon to take it off.”
“So you’re saying she hasn’t seen it yet?”
“No.”
It takes Yoru a while to fall asleep after listening in to her Daddy’s and her Muri’s conversation about the possibility of a new tattoo (or perhaps even more than one?!) she will be able to color in soon.
She hopes it’s as pretty as the others are.
The next morning, after breakfast, Yoru decides it’s time to address the matter at hand. So, she strides up to her Dad, sitting on the couch. “Daddy?”
“Mhm?” He looks up from one of his books without pictures.
“Do you have a secret?”
He furrows his brows at her in confusion. “A secret?”
“Mhm.” Yoru nods. “A new drawing.” He still looks confused, so Yoru clarifies. “Tattoo.”
He sighs, closing his book. “I do. But it seems like I’m not the only one with a secret, mhm? You pretended to be asleep last night.”
“No.”
“Yoru.”
“Yes.”
“Sweetheart, it was late. You need your sleep. Only because you don’t have kindergarten today doesn’t mean you should stay up late.”
“But you stay up late!” Yoru argues.
“I am an adult. You need more sleep than I do.” Pause. His eyes trail down to Yoru’s hands, perched on his knees to hold herself up steadily. “You’re still small. If you want to grow bigger so you can learn to play the guitar, you need your sleep. Remember?”
He’s right. Yoru pouts. Her Dad sighs.
“To answer your question,” He starts again, “Yes, I have a new tattoo. But it needs to heal more, so you can’t color it in yet.”
“Can I see?” Yoru beams up at him, trying to contain her excitement but failing.
“It’s still wrapped in a protective film, so no. Not yet. In a few days, okay?”
“What’s a protective film?”
“It’s like a band-aid for tattoos. Helps it heal quicker.”
“Okay.” Yoru nods. “Then put more on so it heals even quickerer, Daddy. Okay?”
She’s allowed to see the new drawing on his skin a couple of days later. Not that Yoru didn’t ask every single day whether today was the day she got to see it. Even told Toshi about it in kindergarten (he thinks it's both cool and weird to have drawings on your skin that apparently never go away).
But once Yoru sits on the floor in front of her Dad and inspects his arm, she doesn’t know what to make of it. “What is it?”
It’s a dark gray, almost black band around the muscles of his upper arm. There is a shooting star in the middle, with smaller stars around. And there’s a moon.
“It’s the night.”
“Why do you get a drawing of the night? The night is scary.” Yoru states. “I don’t like it.”
“Mhm.” He looks at the tattoos above the new one for a moment. The ones that wrap around his arm tightly, like the hairbands Yoru keeps wrapped around her own wrist sometimes. “But you like the other ones, right?”
Yoru nods.
“Do you know what they mean?”
She shakes her head no.
“So, this one here is for Yamada.”
“Zashi.” Yoru corrects.
“Right.”
“Why are the suns for Zashi?”
“Because of his name. ‘Hizashi’ means ‘Sun’, ‘Sunlight’, or ‘Sunshine’. So, he gets suns.”
“Is he called that because of his pretty hair? It’s gold, like the sun.”
“No, but it would fit, wouldn’t it?”
Yoru nods. It definitely would. Zashi’s hair is beautiful and shiny and like a princess’.
“The clouds below,” Her Dad continues. “Are for Oboro.”
“Because his name means ‘Clouds’?”
“No. His hero name was ‘Loud Cloud’. So, it’s for that. He could make clouds.”
“Wow, that’s so cool. How can someone make clouds?”
“The same way Kaya- Muri can make people fall asleep, Zashi can make his voice really loud, I can stop people from using their quirks, and you can make shadow portals and go to the shadow world. It was his quirk.”
“Awesome!” Yoru proclaims, gently tracing the clouds on her Daddy’s arm.
He nods. “Indeed. He could even sit on them and fly on them.”
“That is so awesome!” Yoru repeats. “Do you think he would have let me fly on them, too?”
“No doubt. But only a meter above the ground, maximum. I don’t want you to fall off and hurt yourself.”
“Okay.” She nods. It makes sense. Yoru also wouldn’t want to get hurt. Then again, flying on a cloud sounds super cool.
“The ones below are the phases of the moon. Those are for Kayama.”
“Muri.” Yoru corrects, again.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Do you remember her hero name?”
Yoru needs to think. Daddy’s name is Eraserhead. That, she can remember. Zashi is Presence Mike. What was Muri’s name again…?
“Midnight?” She tries. It was Midnight, wasn’t it?
“Yes, exactly. Midnight. What goes around my arm here are the phases of the moon. You know how it sometimes gets bigger, then it’s completely round, and then it gets smaller again? I thought the moon would be nicer for her than a clock that simply shows that it’s Midnight.”
Yoru agrees. Clocks are boring. “Oh, that’s true!”
There’s a moment of silence while Yoru continues to trace the drawings on her Daddy’s skin. The drawings for Zashi, and Oboro, and Muri.
“Do you remember what Mrs. Kubo said on your first day at kindergarten?”
“Mrs. Kubo talks a lot. I can’t remember all of it.” Yoru confesses.
“She said that your name has similar kanji to ‘compose poetry’. But that it’s main meaning is ‘night’.”
Yoru remembers now. She didn’t like it. She doesn’t like the dark, so she doesn’t like the night. The nights were the scariest when she was still sleeping in her big box in the little hidden street. And she can’t read or write yet, so the poetry thing doesn’t suit her either.
“This tattoo is for you, Sweetheart.”
Yoru stops tracing the tattoos and stares up at her Daddy with wide eyes. “Me?”
“It’s the night." He nods. "Can you see the moon? And the shooting star? And all the little ones?”
“But it’s scary.” She mumbles, fiddling with the fabric of his t-shirt, twisting it in her fist.
“I like it.”
“Why?”
“Because you can only see the stars at night. You can’t see them when it’s day and bright outside. You need the dark to be able to see them. Same with shooting stars. They are very rare. But you can only see them on a clear night and if the time is right. Sometimes you can only see things when it’s dark.”
“Mhm.” Yoru’s not convinced.
“Uni’s horn shines brighter when it’s dark, right? Same with your string lights?”
That’s true. Uni’s horn is so much prettier when it’s dark. Same with her little lights. Yoru guesses he’s got a point about the stars at night, too. But there’s something else that she remembers.
She settles down between his crossed legs, her back to his front, and gently strokes over her Daddy’s arms. “Zashi said that you get to make a wish when you see a shooting star. He read a book to me about it before bedtime a little bit ago.”
She feels her back softly vibrate with his voice when he speaks up. “Did he now?”
“Mhm.” Yoru nods. “But you’re not supposed to say what you wish for when you see a shooting star, or it won’t come true.”
“Then you get to make a wish every time you see your tattoo here.”
That makes sense.
“Daddy?”
“Yes?”
“Can I color them in? And Zashi’s sun, and Oboro’s clouds, and Muri’s moons?”
Yoru’s allowed to color the stars in two weeks later. Apparently, the tattoo needed to heal some more before any coloring could happen.
Once her Daddy’s tattoos are completely colored in again, she proudly beams at her finished art project. “Okay, you can move again!”
He wasn’t allowed to move for a while, receiving a scolding from Yoru, who always takes her work very seriously.
Lifting his arm, he angles his head to inspect Yoru’s amazing (if she does say so herself) job. “Well done, Sweetheart.” Her Daddy shoots her one of his smiles that aren’t as big as Zashi’s or Toshi’s or Muri’s or Yeko’s, but are still very honest. “Thank you.”
“I made the stars shine!” Yoru proudly states. “Now we get to make a wish! You, too, Daddy!”
“Mhm.” He scans the room, when his eyes stop on his guitar and his lips uptick even more. “Are you in the mood for a little song?”
“My lullaby?” Yoru furrows her brows. “Is it bedtime already?”
“No, another one. I didn’t write this one, but I learned it years ago.”
“Yes!” Yoru jumps up and scrambles up on the couch, readying herself for a performance. She loves it when her Dad plays the guitar and sings for her. A few seconds later, he sits down next to her, angling his body towards her so she can see the movement of his fingers.
After tuning the guitar (he told her what that was a while ago, when she asked what he was doing), he begins to play.
“Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And everything you do
Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called Yellow
So then I took my turn
Oh, what a thing to have done
And it was all yellow
Your skin, oh yeah, your skin, and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know, you know I love you so
You know I love you so
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh, what a thing to do
'Cause you were all yellow
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh, what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
And your skin, oh yeah, your skin, and bones
Turn into something beautiful
And you know, for you, I'd bleed myself dry
For you, I'd bleed myself dry
It's true
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine for you
Look how they shine
Look at the stars
Look how they shine for you
And all the things that you do”
Years later, that song is set as Yoru’s morning alarm.
It’s the first thing she hears when she wakes up to get ready for middle school.
The first thing she hears when she wakes up to get ready for a day out with Toshi.
And it’s the first thing she hears on her first day of U.A.

take her to the moon for me - ao3
Part 1 of 2
Part 2 here
Summary:
Aizawa and a few of his students were given a job from the Hero Commission: stop the yakuza group known as the Bulls from selling any more quirk enhancement drugs. It should have been simple. Sneak in, destroy the drugs, and get out before anyone notices.
But of course, things never go as planned.
Warning (for all parts): violence, major character death, grief/mourning, panic attack/flashbacks
note before we begin: i am chickenKatsu on ao3. I do not give anyone the right to repost my work to another platform unless I’m asked then properly credited. Please support me on ao3 if you like it!
This raid had gone terribly awry. Aizawa and a few of his students–Kaminari, Asui, Shinso, Yaoyorozu, Kirishima, Midoriya, Uraraka, Todoroki, Bakugou, and Tokoyami,–were given a job from the Hero Commission: stop the yakuza group known as the Bulls from selling any more quirk enhancement drugs. It should have been simple. Sneak in, destroy the drugs, and get out before anyone notices.
When they got to the warehouses they were supposed to destroy, Midoriya had discovered a hidden entrance. It led to a complex underground network of tunnels. From what he could tell, Midoriya assumed these tunnels connected almost every warehouse in the prefecture, making their simple mission impossible. Aizawa and his students were about to leave and report back to the Commission when they were ambushed by yakuza lackeys, forcing them deep into the unknown labyrinth.
Which brought them to their current situation. Battered, bruised, and running on dwindling adrenaline, lost in the Bulls’ tunnels, and facing off against everyone they came across.
Aizawa’s eyes were extremely dry from overuse, despite the fact that he tried to use his quirk infrequently. Asui’s skin and tongue were also too dry, seeing as her frog quirk required her to always stay moist. Kaminari  had already reached his limit even though he tried to conserve his energy like Midoriya suggested. Todoroki, Kirishima, and Tokoyami were just tired from how long they had been fighting; their quirks placed great strain on their bodies. Shinso’s voice was hoarse and pretty much unusable. Uraraka had thrown up at least 3 times now and seemed like she might do it again soon. Bakugou’s arms were on fire, muscles strained from so many explosions. Midoriya had broken his bones again, but he wasn't the only one; almost everyone had a broken bone or had sustained a major injury somewhere.
And Yaoyorozu… She was a lifesaver. She looked like she was ready to drop at any second, but she was the only reason they had lasted this long. Since they had been down in the yakuza's tunnels, Yaoyorozu had been making support items to ease everyone’s pain: medicine for Uraraka’s stomach, lozenges for Shinso’s strained throat, painkillers for Bakugou’s sore arms, eye drops for Aizawa, and emergency medical supplies for everyone’s injuries. She also created a bucket for Todoroki so he can melt his ice for Asui’s use. Along with the constant outflow of support items, Yaoyorozu also continued to try and make contact with the Hero Commission. After a while, she quit trying, assuming a jamming quirk or how far they were underground was interfering with communications.
The group traveled as quietly as they could, their aching bodies weighing them down like lead. At last, they felt a breeze, the smell of a forest drifting on the faint wind.
However, none of them noticed the villain waiting around the corner. A humongous fist shot out from behind the wall and grabbed the nearest hero. Tokoyami slammed against the wall, cracking it on impact. Dazed, he slid down the wall as the villain removed his hand and stepped into the hall.
He was a giant, barely fitting in the cramped tunnels. He was as tall as a tower yet had to slouch in the tunnels. Short, white hair covered his muscular body. His sharp horns shone in the dim underground lighting. His cow-like face curved up in a smile. “Master said there were bugs causin’ trouble. Think I found them,” he said in a low, gravelly voice.
Before Aizawa could stop them, Midoriya and Bakugou rushed forward, launching attack after powerful attack. But each kick or explosion irritated their target, unfazed by their efforts.
“Damn flies,” he muttered, squashing Bakugou with the wave of a giant hand. The other caught Midoriya. The reckless kid struggled and squirmed in his grasp like a worm. The villain threw him down on Bakugou, who was just starting to get back up, knocking them to the ground.
Asui quickly lept into action, snatching the two out from under the villain and back to the group. Yaoyorozu and Uraraka immediately assessed their injuries. Tokoyami had started to get back up. He was ready to fight again until he saw the state of his teammates. Their most powerful close-combat fighters were down or unable to fight, leaving him, Todoroki, and Aizawa to face off against the giant.
Kirishima growled and positioned himself between the villain and his classmates, activating his quirk with what little energy he had left. Kaminari hung to the back with Todoroki, ready to protect their friends. It was ill-advised to use their quirks now. Kaminari was too close to his limit and didn't want to electrocute anyone. Todoroki would fight if he absolutely had to. Flames would only fill the hall with smoke, and Yaoyorozu didn't have enough energy left to create masks for everyone. Ice would freeze everyone except him. Or the villain could break it, deadly icicles ready to pierce anyone in their path. Plus, their opponent blocked their only way out.
“I am the Chianina, strongest of the Bulls,” the large villain growled, beating his chest proudly. “Challenge me if you dare!”
“What now, Aizawa-sensei?” whispered Tokoyami as he carefully rejoined the group.
Aizawa studied the villain before them. He was sturdy and undoubtedly had the strength to pummel them into dust. His animal-based mutant quirk gave him an advantage in close combat, which wasn’t good for them. Close-combat wasn’t an option, and their only long-range fighters couldn’t utilize their abilities in this enclosed, cramped space.
“Protect your classmates and escape as soon as you can,” Aizawa said quickly. “I’ll give you an opening.”
“But Sensei--”
Before Tokoyami could protest, Aizawa rushed forward. He nimbly dodged his opponent’s swings, darting around him. He whipped out a knife and sliced his legs, torso, and any other area he could reach. Any time the Chianina tried to attack his students, Aizawa would use his capture weapon to stop him.
Soon, the villain got annoyed. With a roar, he swung. This punch was much faster and stronger than before, so Aizawa didn't have time to avoid the attack. The Chianina’s fist rammed into Aizawa’s face. Pain exploded from his nose and his goggles shattered.
With a small growl, Aizawa charged again, completely ignoring the pain. Since his quirk wouldn't help against a mutant, he put all his energy into fighting the giant in front of him. However, his attacks weren't as successful as before. The villain had already learned his attack pattern, and Aizawa was easily overpowered. Effortlessly, the Chianina ripped his capture weapon with a swing of his massive horns. He barreled into Aizawa and choke slammed him, pinning him down. The force knocked the knives out of Aizawa’s grasp.
The Chianina laughed triumphantly. “Got you know, little fly.”
“Aizawa-sensei!” cried Midoriya. Before he or any other student of Class 2-A could rush over to help, Aizawa activated his quirk with a glare that said, Move and you’re expelled. He met each and every one of his students’ eyes as his vision began to blur.
Midoriya was barely able to hold back his anger. Uraraka tried to stifle her sobs. Yaoyorozu cried in Todoroki’s arms as he gave a slight nod to his teacher, determination and regret ablaze in his eyes. Kirishima held back a raging Bakugou, struggling to contain his own tears. Kaminari was too shocked to move, squeezing Shinso’s hand as if he were his life line. Shinso trembled, his lips pressed in a grimace of fear and understanding. Asui did her best to keep Tokoyami calm as he grappled with Dark Shadow and his emotions, terrified of what was to come.
The sound of stampeding footsteps echoed through the halls. The villain smiled, pushing harder on Aizawa. A strangled noise escaped Aizawa’s throat. He clawed at the huge hands around his neck in a futile attempt to free himself.
The giant villain roared with laughter. “You can’t save him now, little heroes. My buddies are coming for me, and they’ll enjoy killing you boys. But not before we have our fun with the girls!” He roared with disgusting  laughter
“Go!” Aizawa grunted, the wind escaping his lungs and not returning. “Don’t… get caught!”
For a moment, none of his students moved. Todoroki was the first to take action, scooping up Yaoyorozu and sprinting. The second to hop into action was Asui. Taking Tokoyami by the hand, she wrapped her tongue around Kaminari and Shinso and dragged them to the exit. Kirishima effortlessly carried Bakugou, who had stilled at his teacher’s demand, over his shoulder. Uraraka was next, alleviating Asui’s burden by nullifying the gravity of those she carried. She pulled at Midoriya, but he wouldn’t budge. Tears streamed down his freckled cheeks, a mix of emotions swirling in his mind, plans and calculations running through his brain.
That Problem Child, stubborn as ever. Aizawa glared harder at him. Midoriya flinched a little, eyes fixed on his teacher.
Leave. I’ll catch up, I promise, Aizawa’s gaze said.
That finally got Midoriya to allow himself to be led away by Uraraka. “We’ll be waiting, Aizawa-sensei,” Izuku called, “so make sure you come back, too!”
The villain’s reinforcements arrived just as Class 2-A’s footsteps disappeared. Aizawa couldn’t focus on what was happening anymore. His oxygen-deprived body was numb, yet burned and screamed for air.  Nothing he could do would save him. Both he and his students knew that, yet he was glad they had still listened to him.
Now that they were safe, Aizawa stopped trying. Every action tired him like he had gone 72 hours with no sleep and no coffee. Instead, he just laid there beneath the villain’s grasp. He couldn’t see anything anymore.
Aizawa could vaguely hear the villains mocking him, but he didn't care. Tears pricked at his eyes, cascading down his cheeks, full of lost warmth and fresh regret. But he couldn’t feel the Chianina’s grip on his throat. He couldn’t feel his aching bones. He couldn’t feel anything but burning desire to win this fight, to leave, to go back to his family.
There was so much he still wanted to do before he died. He wanted to open a cafe with Hizashi when they retired. He wanted to adopt Eri soon, so she could be surrounded by love and cats for the rest of her life. He wanted to help his Problem Child learn how to love himself more. He wanted to do the same for so many of his students... There was still so much he had left to teach his class, still so much he wanted to tell them. But now, Aizawa had run out of time.
Sorry, kids. I don’t think I’m getting out of this. But I’m glad it was me, not you...
----------
Hizashi was worried. It had been hours since Aizawa and a few students of 2-A had left for their mission. He didn't know the details, but he knew 12 fucking hours was way too long. No one had been able to contact them, not even the Hero Commission. Hizashi and the rest of Class 2-A—Iida, Jiro, Koda, Soji, Hagakure, Ashido, Ojiro, Sero, Aoyama, and Sato—had gathered in the dorms. They found little solace in each others’ presence, fretting over their classmates’ and teacher’s safety.
Suddenly, the doors burst open, the missing students stumbling through. Immediately, Hizashi knew something was wrong. His students were beaten, bruised, and absolutely broken. They barely made it through the door before they collapsed into each other’s arms. They were all gasping for air, fatigued and weeping. Even Todoroki and Bakugou were shamelessly crying. Their worried classmates rushed to their sides, relieved they were back.
“We were so worried! No one could contact you for hours!”
“Oh my god, why didn't you guys go to the hospital? Look at you!”
“Thank god you’re back! Where were you?”
“Hey… are you okay?”
Hizashi quickly counted everyone. Kaminari, Asui, Shinso, Yaoyorozu, Kirishima, Midoriya, Uraraka, Todoroki, Bakugou, and Tokoyami—good, everyone returned. They were safe within the walls of UA… but where was Shota? Where was his husband?
Hizashi didn't want to press the students, seeing as they were exhausted physically and emotionally. But panic began to rise in his chest. Every second that passed when his husband didn't walk through the door filled him with dread. He studied the little heroes, noting every scratch and bandaged wound. Their injuries were serious but not fatal, and Hizashi wondered why Shota hadn’t made them go directly to the hospital.
Midoriya abruptly stood and made his way over to Hizashi, careful not to step on his sobbing teammates. A few watched with concern as he met Hizashi’s eyes with a grim expression on his tear-stained face.
“Present Mic-sensei,” he said quietly. “Aizawa-sensei…”
He struggled to bring himself to speak, but the tears came back in full force. Instead, he reached into his pocket and handed it’s contents to Hizashi.
Shota’s goggles. A few small pieces of it, anyway.
Hizashi forgot to breathe. He stared at the yellow pieces, cradling them as if they were a fragile child. His husband’s goggles… his husband was okay, right? I mean, this isn't the first time his goggles have been smashed, rationalized Hizashi. Granted, the last time they were broken had been when Oboro...
Died.
“Mic-sensei.” Midoriya’s voice sounded light years away, chattering a mile a minute. “We got trapped in a labyrinth of tunnels that the yakuza used to secretly transport quirk-enhancing drugs and we tried to contact the Commission but communications were jammed so we just had to look for an exit. Then we finally found one and we thought we were finally going to get out of there. We let our guard down. I let my guard down. And we didn't notice a giant villain waiting to ambush us. He was so strong and we were so tired and he had a bull mutant quirk that made him really, really strong. He called himself the Chianina. Aizawa-sensei was forced to confront him to save us but the villain was stronger and we escaped and waited for him but he never caught up like he promised and I—” Midoriya cut himself off, barely able to form coherent words. He took a deep, shaky breath, fighting back another wave of sobs and steeling himself. Sad eyes met unbelieving ones as Hizashi tried his best to hold it together.
“I’m sorry, Mic-sensei. He’s gone.”

"hey, listeners!" - hizashi yamada
in which radio show host hizashi yamada has had no luck in finding his soulmate, and neither has y/n
warnings: soulmate au, the words on your wrist are the first thing you'll hear your soulmate say, technically reckless driving, y/n pulls over randomly
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flipping through radio stations, Y/n caught a glimpse of the words on their wrist. They'd seen the words everyday since they turned 20 but to no avail. Y/n was one of the few of their friends who had yet to find their soulmate. They were constantly complaining to their best friend, Emi Fukukado. Emi always laughed and told Y/n a joke to steer them from the conversation.
Y/n was always confused by the words on their wrist, "Hey, listeners! Get ready for another round of requests!" wasn't something you heard everyday. No one had ever had any ideas to help Y/n figure it out, so they were left to their own devices. Finally finding a radio station with their favorite song, Y/n settled down and began driving home, humming the familiar tune playing from the speakers. The song ended and Y/n frowned. A few songs later Y/n was caught off guard when they heard a man's voice speaking through their speakers.
"Hey, listeners! Get ready for another round of requests!"
Y/n choked and swerved to the side of the road, trying to catch their breath. Had they finally found their soulmate? Whoever this mysterious man was, he sounded loud. The man on the radio began reading off a phone number for listeners to dial in and request. Y/n fervently pulled out their phone, struggling to dial the number.
On the other side of Musutafu, Hizashi Yamada was waiting for people to call in and request music. The words on his wrist had puzzled him, "I think I'm your soulmate." was curious, what would he have said to make someone say that? He was pulled from his thoughts when the familiar ringing came through, picking up the phone and leaning into the microphone he spoke, "Hey caller! You got a song request?"
The caller paused, unsure of what to say. "I think I'm your soulmate."
Hizashi froze inside the listening booth, the crew outside waved curiously, confused as to why he'd stopped talking. "What?"
"I think I'm your soulmate."

YANDERE ERASERMIC X READER
Tumblr media
It's been over a month since Hizashi and Shouta kidnapped you and you were going crazy out of boredom and with nothing to do. They assured you that living with them wouldn't be THAT bad since they could take care of your every need and you would never have to work again.
To top it all, you were also quirkless but having a smart brain didn't exactly help either since hizashi and Shouta made sure to destroy all possible means of escape for you. They rarely ever punished you and most of the times, punishments included leaving you isolated for a few days and having your favorite things take away from you (YES, even the CAT!) but to be honest, life with them wasn't ALL bad... they were nice and caring towards you, in a sickly manner of course that sometimes made you want to barf
You were sitting on the bed that you shared with your captors and you were watching a movie on Netflix on your laptop. You were bored out of your skull and weren't focused on the movie. You missed your old life dearly and you've always wanted to be an author and get your work published. Suddenly, an idea popped into your head and you immediately started typing away on your laptop
After a few days, you finally decided to post your work online on Wattpad since you had a Wattpad account and you were an author there (Lol, I feel like I'm breaking the 4th wall). It had asked you to log in but failed even after you entered your password repeatedly. You decided to check your email to see if there was something wrong and when you entered your email id, you couldn't log into THAT too
''Hizashi, why am I not able to access my email?'' you screeched from the couch that you were sitting on while Aizawa and Mic were making breakfast for you. They came out of the kitchen sat next to you, cuddled you and Aizawa said, ''Now now kitty cat, don't tell me you don't know WHY we disabled your email now do you?''
''You. did. what?!'' you asked in a steely calm manner since you knew it would be pointless to waste your voice against them. ''Aww.. come on little songbird, don't be like that. We did it for a very good reason and it's for your safety. Who knows WHAT sort of emails you'll be getting from WHAT sort of people. They could try stealing you away and you would be in GRAVE danger without us and that's why you need ONLY us'' Hizashi chirped like he was explaining why he couldn't play with you
''But.... I just need it for something. I swear I won't try contacting anyone! You guys can even be next to me if you want'' you pleaded with them as they traded curious and worried looks. ''Kitten, do you have a fever?'' Aizawa asked placing his hand on top of your forehead. ''Leave me alone, I'm fine'' you said grumpily
''What do you even need an email for anyway?'' asked Hizashi all curious like. ''Well, I've written a story and I want to publish it online so people can read it'' you said. Silence. That was NOT a good sign
After a few seconds, you heard Hizashi laugh and say, ''Oh you mean that action story which you wrote? It was quite good and amazing. Shouta and me liked it but tone down the violence all right baby? We don't want our precious little darling getting all violent thoughts now do we'' and started cooing
''Wait.... how did you guys even read it?'' you asked them confused as Aizawa said, ''From your laptop of course. You can't hide anything from us you know kitty cat'' and pet your head
''So.... is it a yes?'' you asked them slowly. ''NO'' they both said in unison as you looked at them with sadness in your eyes and asked ''WHY NOT!?'' They hated seeing you sad. It broke and shattered their hearts into a million pieces, but they had to be firm with you
''We won't stop you from writing your stories and books. In fact, we'll encourage it but why do you want to share with the other underserving SCUMBAGS and filth who don't deserve to read your beautiful work?'' asked Aizawa. ''That's true and besides the internet is getting to be dangerous place nowadays so I think we'll have to limit your time of use on your laptop. We don't want to affect your health and it's all for your safety of course'' chirped Yamada enthusiastically as you leaned back in Aizawa's touch, silently crying as Hizashi wiped your tears away
You were 100 percent sure that now they would CERTAINLY change the laptop password or make you use the laptop under their supervision for a limited time or not even LET you use it... but what could you do? You were helpless and powerless against these so-called pro heroes who wanted to save you from all the ''dangers'' in the society and you couldn't do anything but follow their rules and abide their conditions
''Now come on and have some breakfast'' chirped Yamada and dragged you towards the kitchen as you saw Aizawa eyeing the laptop suspiciously. You knew you weren't going to use it any time soon, that was for SURE......

Prompt : Many years later
!! EraserMic !! // TW: Angst //
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aizawa sat at home in his bed feeling rather alone. Ever since the war ended he stopped talking to the people he knew. With the loss of Kurogiri still holding onto his heart it broke him a little inside every single day. Facing Mic was not something he looked forward to as he didn’t want to be a burden to him. If he talked about Oboro even once he would make him upset all over again. After the doctor was captured every time Mic looked at him he would have this sad look in his eyes like he constantly wanted to say something but kept it to himself. So at that moment he cut him off completely. At first, it was easy but it just got harder and harder. As the years go away, all the things he remembered about the moments between him and Hizashi he realized something about himself. Aizawa fell for him but of course he never said anything. His handsome face along with his beautiful green eyes he could melt into whenever he looked at him. Nevertheless, he pushed those feelings away in order to keep his friendship with Hizashi but now.. it didn’t matter anymore. He wanted to desperately make things right with him again, to be with him like it was supposed to be but he was to much of a chicken to do so.
Giving a small sigh he picked up his phone, he wanted.. no.. needed.. to speak to him again if only just once he prayed he had the same phone number from years ago. Hesitating, he dialed the old number he had kept in a notebook he had placed on his desk. Once it picked up, he had a huge smile on his face as he picked up but it quickly faded away. In the background of the call he heard a woman’s voice, from the assumption this was someone very close to him. As soon as Mic told him about the situation he was to late.. of course he should’ve considered this but he wanted to have hope. His childhood crush was engaged.. they had a kid together. Hizashi ranted about his new found family hoping Aizawa was there at his wedding to be his best man to finally see each other again. As much as he hated the idea he agreed even if it brought pain to his heart, it broke him. If only he could see him now he would probably look at him in disgust. Maybe, in another life- if he could’ve said something sooner things could’ve be different. He’d imagine his future with Mic by his side, getting married.. But now, that was virtually impossible.
As the weeks went by it was finally the day.. Mic’s wedding day. Arriving at the destination wearing his black suit he noticed Mic almost right away. There he was with his fancy suit while his hair in a sort of a ponytail type thing, he looked amazing. He wasn’t used to seeing him like this but it made his heart beat faster. Right now, he could only congratulate his best friend on this special day. He looked so happy to see him with his usual bright, large smile giving a hug right away as some sort of greeting. After the wedding ceremony Mic gathered everyone to a drink in honor of the occasion. “To old friends and new beginnings!”, Mic yelled in a cheerful voice before kissing his newly married wife. As the night ended he quickly got into his car he got stopped by him. “Hey Sho, it was nice seeing you again.. I really missed you! We really need to talk more, text me when you get home alright wouldn’t want to worry me ha!”, Mic said obviously joking with a slight hint of seriousness. He gave a small smile giving a nod as he drove home. Once he locked the front door to his house he slammed himself into his bed hurrying his face into the pillow hoping this all some dream. Was this really how everything was going to go? Finally being reunited with someone he had loved for years on end only to be heartbroken in the end to constantly holding onto feelings that won’t ever be returned?
Waking up the next day he stared up at the ceiling in a daze rubbing his forehead hearing a ring at door. “Hold on just a second!!”, he yelled opening up the door to see a friend he hadn’t seen in so very long. It was All Might.. maybe this was a sign. Maybe.. just maybe he wouldn’t feel so alone anymore.

Hizashi’s first car. An EraserMic one shot.
The sun was shining almost too bright today as Shota finished tying his tie around the collar of his uniform shirt. Looking in the bathroom mirror he noticed the growth of stubble on his chin. The thought of shaving didn’t cross his mind, in fact, he was glad. The fibers of his capture scarf weren’t made for comfort, it tended to be a little itchy if not sharp in some areas. It was a weapon after all. The addition of some facial hair would allow a barrier between the rough fibers and his otherwise smooth skin. And made him look mature, he’d been ready for some kind of change. Shake off the look of being a wide-eyed innocent hopeful hero. There was nothing innocent about the job. Beneath the paraded fame and glam of costumes, code names, special moves, and battle banter it was a dark and dangerous game of life or death that should be taken more seriously. With the addition of his facial hair his frumpy black waves now reached past his shoulders. Should he cut it? He thought moving it slightly back and up. That would mean taking routine haircuts to keep up an image. Why would he do that if he could keep up a less high-maintenance image for no money? He let the long hair fall back into place on his shoulders. That was enough of the mirror for today. He turned back to his room to finish getting his socks on and pack his backpack. His phone vibrated on the side table next to his bed. He spared it a glance but he still had the screen facing down. He decided it could wait whatever it was. Probably Hizashi sending a meme or cat video. He hesitated debating on whether or not to give in and look now that there was a chance of seeing cats giving the phone another glance. But he didn’t have time for distractions. He took the phone from its charger and slid it in his pocket and continued getting his backpack ready. Then he joined his parents in the kitchen, his father on his phone scrolling with dark circles under his eyes and a fork of cold eggs held halfway to his mouth.
“Good morning Shota.” His mother greeted setting a plate at the table.
“Morning.” He answered taking his seat and briefly placing his palms together over his plate, “Thanks.”
“Mornin’” His father finally came around out of his trance, “Fell asleep with my eyes open again.”
“Mhm,” Shota and his mother hummed.
The rest of the time it was quiet. Not an uncomfortable silence it was a whole family of people who preferred to do things mid-day to evenings. Mornings were meant to go slow, waking up naturally, dragging your feet across the floor, and maybe going back to bed after your first bathroom usage of the day. Unfortunately, that wasn’t how the world worked. So until mid-day, his family lacked the liveliness of someone awake and ready for the day. His phone vibrated again with another notification. Again Shota ignored it taking up his finished plate and headed back to the bathroom to brush his teeth and then he’d be off on his walk to school.
A rhythmic rumble shook the walls and he paused in his brushing. Some idiot had the music up way too loud in their car while passing by. He shrugged it off and continued only the pulsing music got closer and then it stayed. Who had the energy to be this annoying and inconsiderate this early in the morning??
“Shota!” His mother called from down the hall, “Your friend is here.”
Hizashi? Here? He finished with the water and hurried down the hall grabbing his backpack and stomping on his shoes as he realized, that loud music was right in front of his house! Unbelievable! What did he do, bring a whole stereo outside with him?! His cheeks heated up with embarrassment, the neighbors are going to stare!! He shoved open his front door to see a car, windows rolled down and Hizashi in the driver's seat having a karaoke session with his hair brush.
The neighbors were in fact staring, some shook their heads and made faces. Shota hurried over to the car.
“‘Zashi it’s too loud!!” If he could use his quirk on a car he’d be staring it down hard. “Turn it down!!”
“SHOTA!” Hizashi’s voice came with a wind that blew back his hair, “CHECK OUT MY SWEET WHEELS!”
“Your! Music! Is! Too! Loud!” He yelled over the clamor of a guitar solo.
“Get in!” Hizashi nodded to the passenger seat.
“Turn it down!” Shota demanded seeing his neighbors get increasingly annoyed and concerned. “Oh my god PLEASE turn it down!”
Hizashi pinched the volume dial and finally turned it down. “What’s the matter you don’t like ‘Hotel California’?” He asked a smile stayed plastered on his face, “Like the car? I finally saved up enough! She’s a little rough around the edges and the AC doesn’t always work but she drives!” He revved the engine but it didn’t give any flattering ‘purr’ just an annoying rumble. “C’mon get in!”
“No!” Shota answered back with irritable embarrassment, “I’d rather walk!” He pulled himself away from the car and stuffed his hands in his pockets then began walking down the sidewalk. His neighbors gave sheepish smiles and some laughed. He kept his head low waiting for the music and engine of the car to fade off the further he got. Only the music and engine stayed steady and right next to him.
“What are you doing?!” Shota groused snapping his head to look at the road where Hizashi slowly inched the car along to stay next to him.
“Offering you a ride to school dude. It’ll be faster if you just get in.”
“I’m not getting in that thing!” He hissed and picked up his pace.
Hizashi stayed next to him slowly rolling the tires and leaned his elbow out of the window peaking his green eyes out from his shades. “C’mon, bro! I told you I was going to pick you up!”
“No, you didn’t! And you didn’t have to do it while alerting the entire neighborhood!” Shota yelled. “You better go on, you look like a total creep right now.”
“Whoa! Who’s bein’ loud now?” Hizashi teased, “Yes I did! I sent you a text. Which I assume you never looked at. Again.” His voice dipped down showing his disappointment. Shota felt the phone in his pocket. The notification message.
Hizashi continued seemingly over the small pout of being ignored. “If you were outside waiting for me we would have sped off without causing a scene.”
“You ARE a scene,” Shota grumbled rolling his eyes.
“I’ll take that as a compliment!” He brushed back some blond hair in the weird updo he gave himself. “Now come on! You know ya wanna! You can take a nap on the way!”
There was no arguing or persuading his friend to leave. He sighed and stopped walking turning to the beige car. His friend looked like a glamor magazine model in a second-hand tin can. Entirely out of place. The color didn’t suit him but it was a milestone in a lot of people’s lives they couldn’t wait to achieve. He didn’t see the appeal. The noise, pollution, gas, and money it took to take care of a car could go to other more important and helpful things. Though at some point it would be logical to have one's private car. Popular Heroes in the public transportation system were impossible. They’d be swarmed with fans and never make it anywhere on time, or possibly make an otherwise safe area dangerous due to a villain tracking them down. Not that he thought he’d ever have to worry about becoming popular or having fans. He didn’t care about that so getting a car of his own could wait for a few more years or maybe forever. Hizashi on the other hand was bright, shining like the sun that morning. He made himself known, he’s a people person. Everyone knows him in some way or another. He was sure that one-day Hizashi would make the top ten in the hero charts. Not number one, but maybe 7 or 8. He thought he deserved it.
“Hhh, fine.” He walked over to the passenger side of the car taking off his backpack, “But keep the music down.”
“Hmm maybe.” Hizashi shrugged but excitedly vibrated in his seat. “Welcome aboard passenger! Please buckle your seat belt.” Hizashi mimicked a ride operator's announcements, one of the jobs he’d taken over the summer at a theme park. “Our destination today is UA High. Adjust your seat, sit back, relax, enjoy some sick tunes, and enjoy the ride.”
Shota shook his head a smile creeping across his face as the sun shone brighter from the clouds and in the seat driving next to him. “Y’know no one listens to that music anymore. Not even in America.”
“Whattya’ talkin’ about, of course they do!” Hizashi shrugged as another big hit in the 70’s-80’s played. “Hey, hey look at you!! Did you know you have a porcupine growing on your face?”
Shota rubbed the stubble on his chin with a smile, “Yeah, think I’ll keep it.”
“Damn,” Hizashi stayed with his eyes on the road and a smile, “You look so cool.”
Shota shrugged, “It’s just practical. Now I’m gonna nap before we get to school, don’t crash.”
“Please, I passed my test with funky fresh colors!” Hizashi chirped proudly, “Speaking of colors, the car I really want is gonna be blue.”
“M’kay.” Shota leaned the seat back slightly and covered his eyes with his arm resting over his face.
“Do you think you’ll get a car Sho? We’re already in our senior year. Did you take the driver's ed course?”
“I did. I do know how to drive. I just don’t think having a car would be logical for my line of work.” He answered quickly and then began to focus on his nap.
“So what you’re sayin' is, you want me to pick you up more often huh?”
“No.” He answered realizing he wasn’t going to get any actual sleep. But he settled for keeping his eyes closed. “I’m fine walking or taking the train and bus. My work will be less flashy than everyone else. Rooftops, ally ways, the underground kind of work. A car has no place there. Besides, driving it into battle would be asking for it to be totaled.”
“I’d love to pick you up and take you where ever you need to be.” Hizashi answered flicking on his blinker, “So long as I’m not busy at the same time. You just call me and let me know.”
Shota sighed, “Is that what you got from that conversation? I don’t need you to be my chauffeur.”
“Don’t worry it’s not gonna look like this forever! I’ll have a cool car, sleek, blue, sports car. Imported of course.”
Shota sighed, “Whatever if that’s what you want to spend your gas on.”
“Trust me, man,” Hizashi answered and Shota could hear him smiling, “you’re worth it.”
They arrived at school pulling up to the parking lot. Kayama was waiting in their usual spot and ran over to meet them.
“Oh my gosh!!” She cheered tackling Hizashi as he closed the door to the car, “You got the car! It’s so ugly!”
“Hey!” Hizashi wriggled from her hug and her hands that forced his face near the deep valley of her open-buttoned shirt. “Go easy on her Kayama this is getting us to vacation destinations and drive-thru’s when you don’t want to go inside to eat! Right, Sho?”
Shota didn’t say anything just unbuckled his seatbelt and pulled himself from the passenger seat.
“Oh no,” Kayama cackled, “It’s great! It really suits you, Yamada!” She snorted trying to keep from doubling over in laughter.
“Yo!” Hizashi snapped. Shota watched the two playfully insult each other Kayama trying to rustle Hizashi’s hair out of place or keep him in a headlock while he complained she was being too brutish for a woman, or how she smudged his glasses. Oboro would do anything to be in his place. To have sat in the passenger seat instead while listening to loud old American hits with Hizashi.
“Sho! Help me out, man! Don’t leave me alone with her!” Hizashi called from up the stairs. The sun made his yellow-blond hair glow so much that Shota had to squint his eyes and lifted a hand. Kayama also waved for him to catch up lest he be mistaken for owning the ‘ugly’ car.
“Alright!” He answered with a smile, “I’m coming.” He started up the stairs to join the two for the rest of the day.

The Wingman
“Shouto-kun, how many times have you said that in front of Haiiro-chan?” she asked after about a dozen pats.
“Said what?” Shouto sniffed, reluctantly pulling away from Tsuyu’s hold.
“Why is Izuku so cute?”
Shouto cocked his head at her in confusion. “I don’t know,” he answered honestly. “Why?”
Tsuyu pointed at Haiiro, who was alternating between watching them and looking down the hallway. Dad was probably home, in his office, making small noises Haiiro could pick up on. “Aren’t you worried that he might copy you?”
“Oh. No. I don’t say it that much,” Shouto reassured her confidently.

Or, Shouto says it way too much in front of his new parrot.

Just posted another One-Shot — not sure about it, though.
I'll put it on tumblr tomorrow, but right now, you can read it here on >>AO3<<.
Future memories
Hizashi and his friends meet quite the peculiar person. There are a lot of weird things about her, but the weirdest might be that her name is an anagram of his friend's name. WARNING: Potential but intentional spoilers for both canon (manga if you haven't finished the manga yet) AND the “Shadows of our Past, Present, and (possible) Future” series. This One-Shot relies heavily on the possible future part of the name.

Chapter 1: Time Signatures
Ichijiku (Tigress)
In another life, listening to the pulsating beat of the music in the club might be fun. I might feed off of the voices singing at the top of their lungs, or delight in the changing colors flashing all around the dance floor.
But I’m not living in another life. I’m living in hell.
“Give her another shot.” Kigai’s voice rises over the crowd as he gives me a look. Don’t you tell a goddamn soul what I’m doing or you won’t live to see the sunrise. His quirk stretches into my mind and reminds me just who I belong to. Of course, the bruises littering my thighs are testament to that too. Kigai would never let me go out in anything other than skinny jeans, so it’s not like anyone can see, though.
No one ever sees.
The bartender gives me a smile and I play the perfect part of being his playful partner, leaning over to give Kigai a kiss on his cheek, a loving gaze, and a swat at his butt while bile turns over in my stomach. I throw back the shot of tequila before Kigai puts his hands at my hips and looks directly at me. You’d better get out on that dance floor and pretend you’re having a good time. People have started looking at you.  “Why don’t you go have some fun, sugar? I know you don’t feel good, but the dance floor has always helped you clear your mind.”
He plants a slow and tender kiss on my lips, but all I feel is dread. I want to feel happy. I want to feel a flutter in my chest. I want to feel anything. Anything but Kigai.
You’re mine, Ichi. And don’t you forget that. His eyes bore into mine and then he turns away, laughing at a joke Shihito tells him. I can feel his gaze follow me as I put on my brave face and walk through the dance floor.
In some ways, I’m grateful for the tequila. Otherwise I’d never be able to play like everything’s fine. Winding my way through the undulating bodies feels easier to bear than seeing that look on Kigai’s face. The threat that always lingers there. In this mingling of bodies I can close my eyes and lose myself to the music, feel the beat move in conjunction with me instead of forcing me to move with it.
The only time I’m conscious of is the time signature in the music. Minutes could pass, or it could be hours. What’s important is that Kigai doesn’t cut in and I can’t see those eyes trapping me in their domineering gaze.
For the first time in three years, I’m reminded of the better parts of life.
And then the better part of life bumps into me.
“Whoops! Hey there, little lady. Sorry for the intrusion.” A blonde man with a broad smile and glasses apologizes to me. “Did I hurt you?”
For a moment my breath is taken away and my façade cracks. The best way I can describe him is pure sunshine. He only looks at me for a moment with that grin but the warmth seeps into my skin and makes me yearn for a normal life. My throat gets tight. Help me. I want to say. Please make him leave me alone.
“Woah, hey, is everything okay? Did I really hurt you?” His puts a soothing arm on my shoulder as he makes himself heard over the crowd. “Why don’t you come sit down?”
“No!” I panic, forcing a grin on my face and hoping that he’ll shake it off as me being drunk. That’s what everyone else has done. “Really, it’s okay. I just get emotional when I’m drunk. I’m sorry. You just took me by surprise.” I shake my head as if trying to clear my mind and turn away from him. You’re too pure for someone like me, too beautiful for this world. If Kigai knew I slipped up…I can’t drag you down into this. You could get hurt.
“Hey, wait!” I hear him call behind me, but I ignore it and keep moving.
My feet rush towards the bathroom. I head inside and slam the first stall door I see before heaving into the porcelain bowl. Get it together, Ichijiku. I’ll kill Kigai. We can’t. I sob in the stall. We can’t do anything. Kigai has my family on his radar. We’re stuck! What a foul sack of shit. He’s not worth the stripes on my skin. I want to die. I know, Little Cub, and I’d surely embrace death knowing that you didn’t have to suffer this any longer. But we have to hold on. Change is coming. I can feel it in my bristling fur.
There’s a banging at the door that I know means I’m in trouble. I quickly wipe the tears from my cheeks frantically and flush the toilet before wetting a paper towel and dabbing under my eyes. Breathe. Get it together. We’ll survive. I’m right here with you.
I step out of the bathroom and Kigai’s hand wraps around my arm as he pulls me aside.
“Baby, what’s wrong?” He puts on a concerned simper, feeling my forehead with his free hand. You’re supposed to tell me where you’re going and why. You were trying to run away, weren’t you, bitch?  “I thought you were hurt. Did you get sick?”
“I think I drank too much.” I sniffle, looking down so he can’t use his quirk and I don’t have to listen to his haunting voice in my thoughts. It’s a mistake.
His hand comes under my chin. To an outside party it might look like he’s being a tender lover, but there’s bite in the way his fingers dig into my skin. You know I hate when you look away from me, whore.
“Honey, you only had one shot. When did you become such a lightweight?” He laughs. I’m sick of your damn excuses. He runs his fingers through my hair and his hands cup my cheeks as he kisses my forehead. “But if you need to take a seat, go ahead.” Stay where I can see you.
“Thanks, love.” I return his gesture of affection with a hug and a peck on his cheek.
For a while, I sit at the bar again, scrolling through my phone to look busy. I can’t see Kigai, but I don’t need to. His gaze always follows me, even when he’s not in the room.
“It looks like you needed a break, huh?” The blonde from earlier takes residence in the seat next to me.
I turn to look at him as I nurse a lemonade. He’s like a breath of fresh air.
“Yeah.” I look down at the table again and trace around the rim of my glass. “Sorry about earlier. I think I’d been dancing too long and was getting overheated.”
“Yeah, the dance floor can get overwhelming if you’re not used to it.” He laughs. The sound sings through my bones.
“What’s your name?” I ask.
“Yamada Hizashi. But you can call me Hizashi.” He tilts his head like a puppy and the lights around him make him appear almost angelic. “What’s yours?”
“Ichijiku.”
“Nice to formally meet you, Ichijiku.” He answers. “Was that your boyfriend I saw earlier?”
“Yes.” I smile into my cup to hide the disgust in my eyes. God, I wish he wasn’t. “He was making sure I was okay.”
“Ah, good to know. From back there it looked like he was going to hurt you, but I was obviously mistaken. I’m glad you’re safe, you know?”
Something about the way he says it makes me look up at him and feel more hope than I have in a long time. I feel seen and heard. After a cursory glance around the club without seeing Kigai, I feel safe enough to answer.
“Kigai’s not a dangerous man. He doesn’t hit me and he likes to make sure I’m taken care of.” My eyes scream the opposite. I hope he catches it. I hope he doesn’t. “He knows my favorite colors and we watch my favorite movies all the time and he loves me. He never calls me names and he always asks before he touches me; Kigai doesn’t want to hurt me.”
Hizashi’s hand moves closer to mine and when I look at him I don’t feel sick.
“So you don’t need my help at all, do you?” He asks. He doesn’t break my gaze.
My lips part in a relieved gasp;  I’m ready to tell him everything, but my eyes hold terror as Kigai catches my gaze from across the room. What the hell are you telling him? His smile follows me even though he’s standing beside the DJ. Abruptly, I stand and move away from Hizashi.
“It would be better if you stayed away from me.” I hiss under my breath, cursing myself for wishing for a normal life. Cursing myself for dreaming that I’d ever be able to get away from Kigai. What was I thinking? If Kigai finds out, it’ll be my head. But at least Hizashi knows. Maybe he can get help! Why would he help me? He probably has no idea I need help. I was reading too much into it. No one ever notices the bruises. Or they make excuses if they do.  That’s right. No one cares about you. Who cares about a stupid whore? She’s not a whore. Kigai’s a manipulator and a rapist, and that’s all there is to it, fiend.
“Are you looking at my girl?” I’m suddenly face to chest with Kigai. Shit. He was closer than I realized. Fuck!
“Kigai, honey, it’s okay. I was just coming to find you. It’s fine.” I place my hand on his arm and squeeze, trying to redirect him.
“No, it’s not fucking okay.” Kigai growls, glaring bullets into Hizashi’s eyes.
“Hey, man. You have the wrong idea.” Hizashi puts his hands up, looking composed and calm. See? He knows nothing. Everything you told him went straight over his head. “She bumped into me earlier and I was just making sure she’d gotten back to the bar safely.”
“She bumped into you? Or were you trying to cop a feel?” Kigai snarls, dangerously tense.
“Kigai, please.” I beg, pulling at the front of his shirt to make him look at me. Why the hell did you let him get close to you, huh? You know you belong to me. Not some sleaze who’s just going to fuck you and leave you out to dry. After everything I’ve done for you. His words reach into my mind and I do the only thing I can to get out of the situation. I reach up around his neck and pull him in for a kiss.
Thankfully, Kigai seems to take the bait. He becomes more possessive, gripping my hips so hard I know there’ll be bruises there in the morning. His tongue invades my mouth and he tugs fiercely at my lip. When he pulls back, he still turns a fiery glare onto Hizashi.
“Don’t you get near my girl again, got it?” Kigai wraps an arm around my shoulder and pulls me close to him. My eyes lose their shine. I guess that’s it. We’re stuck again. All in good time, Little Cub. All in good time.
He pulls me away and I risk one last glance back at Hizashi. One last hopeful plea begging him to help, but he’s not looking back at me.
. . . . .
Six months go by that Kigai refuses to take me out again. For six months he beats the lesson into me.
“You were trying to be a clever little whore, weren’t you?” His foot connects with my jaw, but I don’t make a sound. I take it. “Thought you had a savior. Someone to take you away from me, right? But you’re mine! If you left me do you know what that would mean for your family? For you?” He yanks me up by my hair. “They’d be up shit creek without a paddle and it’d be all your fault!”
“I’m sorry, love.” I whimper out, hating the taste of the words on my tongue. “It won’t happen again.”
“Damn right it won’t.” He lets go of me and I catch the brunt of my weight on my arms. Tears trickle down my cheeks and then suddenly he pulls me into his arms and then onto his lap on the bed.
“You know I love you, right?” He coos in my ear, saying the words that my heart wants to hear in the most twisted tones. “It’s just…seeing you with that other man…mmm…I hated seeing that. You know he was just trying to manipulate you, right? Use you when you were vulnerable?”
You’d know all about that wouldn’t you? I wish I could have been more specific…told him something more concrete. Then maybe I wouldn’t be stuck here. It’s not your fault, Dear One. “I know, Kigai. I’m sorry. I wasn’t feeling good and I just wanted someone to talk to.”
His grip tightens on me. “You could have found me.”
“You were busy, Kigai, I didn’t want to ruin your time.” I turn and kiss his cheek to make the comment more believable. “I love you.”
“Mmm, that’s what I like to hear.” He kisses under my ear and it burns. Nauseous flames swim along my body until he leaves me broken under the covers. I curl up into a ball as he gets up from the covers and starts grabbing his clothes. “C’mon, baby, get your clothes on. I think you’ve learned your lesson. I’ve got a surprise for you.”
I don’t question it. I’m silent as I pull on my clothes and fix my hair. When I’m ready, I take the arm he offers me.
“You’re gonna like this, baby.” He rubs a small bruise he made at my neck, smiling as we head out into the street and he looks at me. You’d better not tell anyone it’s anything other than a love bite, got it? Or I’ll have your family hunted down with a snap of my fingers.  “Look at how beautiful you look with my marks on you. Everyone will know who you belong to, yeah?”
“Of course. Only yours.” I nod, swallowing past the lump in my throat.
Before long he leads me to a karaoke bar. The sight of it puts a pep in my step; even though I’d rather be here with anyone else except Kigai, this is the most I’ve gotten out in months. I’ll take what I can get.
“A karaoke bar? How did you know?” I giggle, kissing his cheek as I slip into the assumed role.
“I know my babygirl.” He pauses to kiss me roughly outside the door before pulling me inside. He pays for the two of us before we’re taken to a private room where a few of his friends are waiting. “I hope you don’t mind, some of my buddies came to join us.”
“It’s okay.” I promise, even though seeing all of them makes my heart sink. “As long as they don’t bother me.”
“They’ve already been warned, babe, they’ve already been warned.” Kigai winks at me. Don’t test those waters after I’ve let you out. “Would you like to go first?”
“Yes, please.”
Once again, the music distracts me from my own crumbling little world. Life seems full of more promise as the notes spill from my lips.
“Hey, Takamaru! I’ve gotta take a piss. Keep an eye on my girl, okay? Make sure she doesn’t get into too much trouble.” Kigai chuckles and glances at me before he leaves. Don’t do anything stupid.
“Sure, man.” Takamaru doesn’t even look in Kigai’s direction. He’s too busy focusing on Shihito’s selection. “What the fuck, man?! You’ve sung homura three times already! Pick something new.”
“Shut up, Taka, it’s the only song I know.” Shihito huffs, pulling up the microphone again.
“Hey, do you guys mind if I go grab a snack?” I ask, wanting to get some fresh air without Kigai hovering over me. If he gets back before I do, I can always blame Takamaru. He never goes too hard on his buddies.
“Sure, Ichi. Can you grab me a granola bar while you’re at it?” Takamaru tosses me a couple yen.
“Sure thing.” I nod and head towards the vending machine on the balcony.
I walk by a room where I hear such sweet sonorous notes I can’t help but glance into the window. Hizashi?! My feet stutter and I nearly trip. I have to keep walking. Kigai is liable to beat him up if he even sees he’s in the same building. If I were to stop and wave? Impossible. I force myself to keep walking until I make it to the machine.
Once I’ve got a pack of crackers and Taka’s granola bar, I hang over the railing and take a deep breath. When did this all start? Why did I let myself get roped into this? I hate this… None of this is your fault, Little One. Kigai is a manipulator and a fiend. And his quirk makes it inanely difficult to give any sort of proof to the authorities of your predicament.
“Fancy seeing you here.” Hizashi’s voice joins me on the balcony. I jump back as if stung and start backing away from him. His moves his hands from his pockets and holds them up in surrender. “Woah, hey, I’m not going to hurt you.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about.” I turn to look and make sure Kigai isn’t headed back to our karaoke room and then back to Hizashi. “You can’t be here.”
“Is he hurting you?” He asks me bluntly, eyes somehow fierce and kind all at once.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I choke out, starting to speed walk back into the building. This can’t be happening. Kigai’s going to kill him if he sees him anywhere near me!
His hand grabs my wrist and I’m forced to pause and turn back to him.
“Is he hurting you, Ichijiku?”
The first time I saw his gaze in the club, I nearly lost myself. Seeing it now, so intentional and worried…I feel I have no choice.
“Yes.” I hiss, eyes watering. “Yes, he hurts me. All the time. For big things, for little things. But I take it, okay?” Part of me is angry. Not even at Hizashi, just everything in general. Why the hell am I in this predicament? What did I do except love people and want them to love me back? It’s okay. You’re allowed to be angry. Especially at this situation. “I take it because Kigai says he’ll hurt my family if I don’t. Because they’ll die if I don’t suck it up like a good girl, alright? And he’s going to hurt you too, Hizashi. He’ll hurt you really bad if you so much as look at me. If you’re so much as seen with me.” I keep glancing back, waiting at any moment for Kigai to round the corner and exact his punishment. “So go! Leave me alone. I don’t want anyone else to get hurt for my sake…please.” I beg, finally yanking my hand free of his hold.
When I hear Kigai’s voice down the hall, I don’t look back. I rush back into the room just in time and hand Taka his granola bar. I start nibbling on my crackers so I can compose my face before he walks in. I smile at him and offer him a cracker.
“Oo, got me a snack, baby?” He takes the whole pack and leaves me the one. “Thanks.”
The rest of the evening, I’m too nervous to sing like I want to. I pick one or two songs to make sure Kigai’s off my scent, but mostly I watch him and his friends sing. In reality, I keep watching the door to make sure Hizashi doesn’t walk by.
By the time we get ready to leave, it’s dark. I assume that Hizsahi is long gone, because as we walk by his room on our way out, it’s empty and quiet. Thank you, Lord. He deserves a better lot in life than this.
“Damn, Kigai, every time we go out for karaoke I forget just how shitty of a singer you are.” Taka teases as we give the desk lady her key back.
“Hey, man! I’m not that bad. At least I can carry a tune.”
“Barely.” He snorts, before nudging Shihito. “And this fucker only has one song he can sing!”
The ribbing continues as we walk out the door. I keep my eyes down and my arm wrapped around Kigai’s until a group of voices convene on us and someone suddenly pulls me out of Kigai’s grasp.
“Police! Get on the ground, now!” Someone barks out, and my brain struggles to keep up.
Kigai and his pals look shocked to say the least. Kigai is the only one who tries to struggle, of course. “Get the fuck off me! Let my girl go! Babygirl, tell these fuckers to get off me!”
“Don’t hurt him!” I call out, aching heart bleeding for him even in spite of all the bruises he’s left on my heart and my body.
“Get on the ground.” The cop repeats, needing two more officers to help bring Kigai down to the ground. “Sir, you’re under arrest.”
The world around me sways. My breath gets shaky and I start crying as I beg them to leave him alone. What am I doing?! I want them to take him but… He’s a manipulator. He’s made you afraid and obligated to him. I want him out of my life. I don’t ever want to see him again. My pleas ultimately die down as my sobs get louder.
The weather is colder in the darkness. My body starts shaking and I start swaying.
“It’s okay, ma’am. We’ll get it taken care of. You’re safe now.” The woman holding me rubs my shoulders and starts looking around. “Can one of you grab a jacket for–”
“I’ve got it taken care of.” Hizashi’s voice melts into my eardrums as the police get Kigai into the back of their cruiser. I wrap my arms around myself and then he’s got something warm and soft wrapped around my shoulders. “Here. Take my jacket.”
I turn to Hizashi and then back to the police cruiser. I look at the woman.
“Excuse me, Officer?”
“Yes, ma’am?”
“Th–That man…Kigai…he…he said he’d hurt my family if I ever turned him in. Are they–”
“This young man here told us the story. We’ve got a unit at their house.” She assures me, rubbing my shoulder. “You don’t have to be afraid anymore, honey. We’ve got it all covered. We’ve been trying to find definitive evidence to put this guy away for years.”
I look at her, disbelieving. “H=How did you find any evidence?”
The officer looks at the cruiser as Kigai is hauled off, before she looks at Hizashi with a smile and then back to me. “Your friend here said that he recorded your conversation in the karaoke place. He said he’d previously met you and was suspicious of the situation.”
“I hadn’t seen you in months. I was scared I was too late to do anything, so when I saw you…” He pauses. “I started recording on my phone before I walked over to talk to you. I was hoping that maybe if I was blunt enough…you might tell me what was going on.” Hizashi admits sheepishly. “So we left as soon as I got the evidence just in case your group was planning on leaving soon.”
For a long time, I just stare at him. I memorize everything I can about him. The way his hair frames his face and the small, pampered mustache making his smile pop out on his face. Then there’s his eyes.
One look and my body works without my permission. I wrap my arms around him, tackling him into a hug and feeling three years of pain and grief claw out of my chest and manifest as sobs.
“Thank you, Hizashi.” I hold his back in a death grip, and I feel him pat my back delicately.
“I couldn’t sit by and watch you get hurt without doing anything.”
“Ma’am, would you like me to walk you to your home?” The officer asks me, also reaching over to rub my shoulder.
“I don’t have anywhere to go right now.” I admit with a sniffle. “But if you can go with me to grab my stuff from Kigai’s, that would be great.” I turn to Hizashi. “Will you come with us? Please?”
“Of course. I won’t leave you alone right now. That a problem with you, Officer?”
“Not at all.” She assures.
When we make it to Kigai’s house, there’s blue and red lights flashing there too. Hizashi steps with me inside as the officer gets debriefed on other things found out about Kigai’s dastardly affairs. “It’s just down this hall.” I assure him.
Going back into Kigai’s room sends a cold chill down my spine. You’re mine, whore. You belong to me, understand? I pull Hizashi’s jacket tighter around me, before steeling my nerves and grabbing my bag and stuffing it.
“Anything you need me to grab?” Hizashi asks as he looks around.
“No. I don’t have much.” I toss in my phone and charger, a few changes of clothes, toothbrush, hairbrush, and a few other necessities. “I think that’s all.” I say once I’ve got everything together. When at last I turn to him and meet his gaze, I’m expecting to hear foul words stabbing into my brain.
He is not Kigai, Little One. It’s going to be okay.
My nose quivers as I look at him. “He’s really gone.”
“He won’t hurt you anymore, Ichijiku.” Hizashi nods. “You don’t have to be afraid anymore.”
I don’t have to be afraid.
