!! CHAPTER 7 / DIASOMNIA ARC SPOILERS !!

Heyyyy I'm still alive and kicking, been doing a lot during the summer and I got some vacant time now so let's go (Kalim's Dream):

We're getting right into the action ya'll we are currently transmigrating into Kalim's dream and Vil is not having a good time (he's screaming his ass off). We land in front of a school and Vil is just distraught about dream hopping that Yuu, Grim and Idia are making fun of him for it 😭; but Vil wasn't letting it slide with Idia (he threatened to smash his screen/LCD).

Ok yeah going back we see a fountain with the sultan's (the sultan from Aladdin) statue in the middle. Then Grim get curious of said statue that he jumps??? into the fountain??? Then we get the KALIM APPEARANCE RAHHHH

He explains to the group that the sultan serves as the main figure of the school they're in: Qasr Sultanate Academy. Kalim also doesn't recognize any of them because he's a second year of the school, he also doesn't recognize NRC but once he heard that they were from Sage's Island; he assumes they're having a tour.

He also notices that the group is dying from the heat due to their uniforms, so he uses Oasis Maker to hydrate them. We learn that in this dream, Kalim manifested his magic at the age of 14 and created the academy to train his magic (OKAY DAMNNNN THAT'S JUST A WHOLE NEW LEVEL OF RICH). That's when Kalim summons his servants to give the guys a feast because apparently you can bring servants to the school even if then if they won't be considered as "students" and Sebek's like "NRC doesn't even permit outsiders" (talk about culture shock)

That's when they start talking about stories from their homeland, Kalim brings up the story of Aladdin and the Sultan; while Silver and Sebek bring up the story of Sleeping Beauty. Grim notices that while Kalim isn't that much different, it's strange that he isn't at NRC knowing how much he loves the school. That's when Ortho makes the connection between Kalim and Vil, what could be the possible tragedy that happened for Kalim not to be at NRC in his dream (well they're about to find out) then we get a JAMIL JUMPSCARE

(why is he smiling, it kinda scares me)

So what Kalim really wanted was to be friends with Jamil despite their differing statuses (aw :( ) and thus the group plays along by introducing themselves to this Fake!Jamil. Vil's impressed with Silver and Sebek's acting skills, I mean if you have encountered a war general, a buff twink and a Savanaclaw fanboy; you'd at least pick up on some acting along the way.

But of course, Silver and Sebek do know that there is something off about the Fake Jamil because he asked Kalim to get something for him and they're just calling the Fake out 💀. That's when Fake!Jamil reveals itself as the darkness and tries to drag Kalim down with him, but Kalim is starting to remember everything.

KALIM SMACKS US WITH THE QUESTION FROM BOOK 4 IMA JUMP OFF GOODBYE

That's when Fake!Jamil uses Snake Whisper on Kalim but Kalim wasn't buying it then the Fake!Jamil starts saying stuff along the lines of how they grew up as brothers and have never been shy with each other despite their positions. That's when Vil snaps Kalim out of the dream about how he still kept trying to befriend Jamil despite having him betrayed by him in the past. That eventually wakes Kalim up

That's when the scene changes to Book 4's overblot battle, when Fake! Jamil tries to help Kalim stand; he swats the fake's hand away. That's when Kalim replies to Vil that it's because he's Jamil's master, not his best friend. But Kalim tells the Fake that he wants to befirend the real Jamil, not him.

Thus the fight begins and once it's done, Kalim cries now let me show you his groovy

The whole plan is then revealed to Kalim, who is now fully awake. Kalim is now added to the party because he's the only one who can awaken Jamil because they know each other. He also mentions that it's usually done the opposite way (Jamil doing the waking up), so it's nice to see the roles swapped.

I don't think my summaries captures the full essence of Kalim's dream so I really recommend that you watch english translations if they're out. But yeah will be translating Jamil's dream in a bit, took me awhile cuz I had a lot of things to do but yeah see ya'll soon~

Enhypen Tea Session

Disclaimer: This is my interpretation of the cards. This is not fact and all alleged! This doesn't put many of them in the best light. I am a messenger, so no hate on any of them.

Now, to the next group for this session. I feel they gave me so much tea in the past, so not sure what else they can share and if they have much else to share, but let's see what they give me.

Heeseung

He could be handed things to him things that alter his reality, maybe allows him to disconnect. He continuously shows me things about drinks being offered to him, or him drinking things. This ace of cups in this deck seems to always pop up for him , or has in the past, but a lot of these cards have things about people offering things to him. He might feel a sort of emptiness and numbness to things and may need these drinks to help keep his energy up or feel alive. I see him having access to a lot of inner wisdom and knowledge. I say when he is alone, he may have access to this information or get loads of downloads, but I see him trying to find ways to block it out, maybe that is where I can see him wanting to drink a lot. I saw this in his perspective reading, where he seems to have access to psychic abilities and he doesn't know how to handle it or process it.

He has strong divine femininity energy, meaning someone with strong creative, intuitive and psychic abilities. He was offered a dream, a fairytale, this could be about being an idol, a fantasy per say. I say there are childhood wounds he hasn't healed and still needs to process. These childhood wounds still affect him in some way. I say this is like that for mostly every human being, so not sure why that is stressed for him. Although, he seems mature, he is stunted emotionally somehow. Like he has strong childlike energy that still is with him. I mean, makes sense knowing him, he can be a bit of a goofball and dork at times. I say that with love.

Another note: Good thing I do these readings a bit before I post them, he gave me another message, while I was lying in bed lol He tends to do this, which is interesting. I was pulled back to this reading out of nowhere. I got mind altering, so I am assuming these drinks do that, also I was pulled to the 9 of Swords of his career reading and if you remember I felt weird when I was discussing that card. I believe that card also came out in his perspective reading, that all seems to be connected somehow, man Heeseung is becoming so much more fascinating to me. I wonder if these drinks cultivate these frantic thoughts, hmm. It is like it could induce psychic attacks, got that message too.

Jay

Well, the devil shows up first, flying out like crazy. He seems highly materialistic. I can see him doing some weird shit to get ahead or make money to be honest. Like that devil card gives me the dark side to money. This strong attachment to money can lead you down a dark path in this industry just saying. I got four cards that are about money. He has a strong desire to reach a level of success where he can be rich and wealthy, anyone with this desire to be rich can do anything to get that, which could break a bit of your own morals. The more money someone wants, the further you move away from your true essence. I can see him working hard to receive whatever scraps he can. This boy will put out the stops, burn himself down, overwork and exhaust himself to get it. Ya'll tell this boy to go on a break, and I swear he will look at you sideways for that. He burns himself down, but ends up finding that passion again.

Jay is a very passionate man and always finds that drive and energy to keep going. This man is focused on money, achievement and career advancement. I see him wanting to do this to achieve his own success and to stand on his own. I can see this devil card as him tying himself to this industry or career and the dark shit it entails to get to where he wants to go, which is financial freedom. So, he may not partake in the dark shit, but maybe understands the crap he has to go through to get to where he wants to, but still, he shows strong attachment to money and I don't know, people with that attachment can do anything to get it. The card name in this deck is the shadow, so he may do some lowkey things or hide things that he does.

Jake

I am seeing he is someone that dissociates and disconnects. I can also see him struggling to find passion or not getting things offered to him that brings out that passion. Interesting message here, I see strong sexual energy with him and he may use that to fill a void, so a desire to sleep with others, most likely woman to feel some sort of passion or desire he may not have. I see him getting some sort of deal in the past. I am not sure what that means. It is like he does this, or we give you this and he pays them back for it. I am so confused by these cards (6 of cups/6 of pentacles). He doesn't want to elaborate. I pulled another card and got the 2 of wands ugh, probably why he didn't want to elaborate, there could be sexual favors here, sleeping with someone to get ahead. But I can also see him paying others for sex or paying others after the fact to silence them allegedly, who knows where he lies on that spectrum. That is what that deal probably is.

He is someone with their heads in the clouds, doesn't necessarily see the reality of things. He tends to not want to face harsh realities, so he disconnects to keep moving. I see him trying his best to seek pleasure in life and contain it, so I don't see him liking the discomforts of things and he tries to make light out of everything. Once things get hard, he will do what it takes to escape. He kind of has this hedonistic mindset. He tries to seek external satisfaction, but he doesn't understand that comes from within, so this is a vicious cycle for him, because he will continue to fill a void unless he finds happiness from within, but he tends to do anything to escape himself.

Sunghoon

It seems these guys are all getting similar card, 4 of cups has popped up for 3 members (Heeseung,Jake and him). Like seriously is there something they take that enhances their psychic abilities or is a gateway to it, like why do I keep seeing this with this group, da fuck is this. Similar to Heeseung, it is like they drink this when they are feeling down or something, or lack energy, they have them take this or if they feel numb, it helps them somehow. It helps build their strength and character, it gives them energy or strength. I mean, this doesn't have to be sinister, there are drinks that do that, but why is this popping up, and how is this tea lol Is it some secret concoction, like wtf. This Death card and the 5 of wands confuses me. He may not want his career to end, so he will compete to the death to achieve his success. I get a strong competitive drive and desire from him, and he will take anyone down who gets in his way. He can be pretty aggressive. I pulled another card, cause girl is nosy and got 9 of cups, so yeah, anything that can satisfy his needs he will go after it, like Jake he seeks pleasure and happiness and will do what it takes to get that and fulfill his desires. I see him having no problem stomping over anyone who gets in his way, sorry I sense that. I am not hating or judging, just going with the feeling I am getting here and sharing it.

This is a tea session, it isn't supposed to be pretty. The 2 of wands reversed just gives me someone who prefers to work on his own and go his own way on things. What he envisions for himself is for him, so not sure he is much into working with others but tolerates it. So, girl asked for another card and got the empress. I wonder if he is at odds with mommy dearest, sorry don't like her vibe energetically, don't care. But also, with creative pursuits he struggles to work with others and never really sees eye to eye on it. It is like he has his own path and own way to go about things. I can also see his Mom was competitive and cutthroat about things too and that is where he probably got it from. Okay, I shared a lot for him, but his intrigued me the most, so time to move on. Just saying, not here to judge, just sharing my interpretation. I will never hate on any of these idols. I still adore him and the others.

Sunoo

I feel like there could have been more of a promise for him or pact for him to achieve more than what he has achieved. I can also see him wanting to fly solo and have his independence and have his own career. But there is some sort of pact or deal he has made that makes him stay. Now with this Emperor card and the knight of wands card together. I take these two ways, either he is attracted to this dominant male figure, this could be dominant female too, and there could be an emotional connection to this person as the 2 of cups is here too. Or there is aggression towards this person as well, could be both. He could also impulsively lash out at this person. Not sure who this person is, but they seem to be a dominant presence in his life.

The knight of wands is moving towards the emperor. I see his energy as the knight of wands and the emperor as this other person, maybe the one he made a deal with. This person can be pretty dominant and controlling, this doesn't feel like his energy and with the 2 of cups, there is a presence of someone else here, that plays a role. But there is a need to take on this person or move on and go on his own. Now I always sensed if any member would go it would be him and still sensing that. I see him having a lot of creating energy and wanting to express that and maybe he will try to do that more or go elsewhere for it to be expressed.

So reading this back and got the message daddy issues, so that person could be his Father, the name on the card is actually called The Father, rather than the Emperor, so it was actually literal. I get a sense he may have some issues with his Dad. But then again, that two of cups makes me think someone else, so I think this refers to his Dad and someone else. Going to leave it there. His Dad allegedly being in the mix messed my head up. I sense this is a mixture of two stories here.

Jungwon

In the middle we got the King of Swords, once again showing me, he is a man with a lot of knowledge and information. I also felt this man can be a bit cold, calculated and callus. Knowledge is power to him and holding that knowledge is power to him. I can see him understanding how cutthroat the industry can be and may play into it. I see this 5 of swords as someone cutthroat, harsh and can cut people down with their words, so that is his energy. I heard catty, which is someone who is deliberately hurtful. Dang Jungwon you like this! He is someone who likes to have the upper hand, so breaking you down gives him that. Yup, even if he is my fave. I call is how I get it. This still doesn't change my mind on any of them though. I separate lol I can see him being a drill sergeant, pointing out mistakes, being a bit of a perfectionist. I say he puts a lot on his back, burns himself out, does way too much to achieve the success he wants. To climb to the top you got burn yourself out, this may be his mindset.

He doesn't seem afraid to communicate how he feels even if it is disruptive or hurtful. He is the type that says things maybe out of frustration and without thought, but mostly he is very calm and calculated with his approach as the KOS is in the middle, which represents to me his strongest energy. He is also showing some pact or deal in the past that have may have been promising his success. This 2 of cups always just gives me some sort of ritualistic bondage of some sort, like do they get some cups of something, go near water and do a seance or something with the company people and make some spiritual pact that may promise them a successful career. Whatever this pact is it will lead him to get the recognition and success he desires. I see him having a strong desire for success and recognition and doing whatever he can to get that.

I do love how straight forward and honest his energy is, even if it isn't always pretty, he got no shame, got to respect him for that.

Ni-Ki

He is showing he doesn't have much power or his hands are tied about things and situations that happen. I see him being passive and nonchalant about things. I can see a powerful woman may play a role in the company or group. I keep seeing this strength card with a woman on it pop up for them. She may pull a lot of the strings. I see him trying to gain an understanding through all these challenges and difficulties he may face as an idol and maybe coming to a realization about things. He seems stifled and has to fit a certain image. He feels stuck to fit that image. He seems like he is showing that he is a concocted image of others but not his authentic self. I can also see him being catty and destructive with his words as well and can be pretty harsh with his words, maybe has hurt others in the past.

I can also see him pushing others away, so they don't get too close. He is also showing me some deal in the past with this 6 of cups. I swear that popped up for everyone. Like a sold fantasy they got, but that it wasn't what they said it would be like. He is showing there are a lot of obstacles and challenges he has to face. And that he always has to defend himself. And he sees things crumbling and falling apart or things are a bit chaotic. I see him having lots of emotions that he tries to hide, but I do see it cracking or he sees that it will eventually break, or he will crack under having to hold those emotions in for so long.

Okay, that is what I get for this installment of tea sessions. I wasn't sure they had more to share, but I swear this group is pretty easy to get information from me and thankfully no sickness or any discomfort here from any of them.

Lu's Guide to Sin Analysis

Welp, since my brain is too focused on having K Corp Hong Lu go full unga bunga in Mirror Dungeons to write full analyses, I decided I might as well give something else to all the people starving for Limbus Theory content.

So, here we are. A basic guide on how I approach the Sin Analysis portion of my analyses, covering my personal interpretations for each Sin, as well as how to use those when analysing both E.G.Os and Identities.

That way, ya'll can dabble in doing some of this on your own when I'm too busy grinding my way to 400 hours of play time on Limbus to write up full analyses.

Sin Interpretations

Let's start with the most important part - the Sins themselves.

I want you to take a moment and think about your own associations with those Sins. Perhaps your immediate thought is to take the words used literally. Maybe you immediately think back to the Biblical ideas of the Seven Deadly Sins. Mayhaps there's some other media you know that also uses Sins in some way, which you subconsciously default to when thinking about them.

Whatever those associations are, I want you to throw them away.

That's right. Whatever is telling you that Lust = Horny, Wrath = Angry, Envy = Jealous, etc, etc? Throw all of those preconcieved notions away.

This is the biggest mistake I see people make when trying to analyse Identities and E.G.O based on their Sins - they assume that those Sins have the same meanings in the context of Limbus as the popular, more common interpretations of them.

And while, sure, some of them can definitely overlap with what one would expect them to be, I think relying on those during analysis instead of trying to understand what the game itself is trying to tell us by using those Sins as symbols is doing its storytelling a massive disservice.

Do I think my personal interpretations of the Sins are a 100% accurate reading? No, of course not. I can't see into the mind of Kim Ji-Hoon or whoever else at Project Moon might have been the mastermind behind deciding what Sins connect to what. I have no way of knowing what exactly they intended here.

However, I do wish to believe that my interpretations not only strive to meet the game's storytelling on its own terms, but also hopefully make further analysis based on those interpretations a bit easier to wrap one's head around.

...God I really need to stop writing massive preambles and just get to the fucking point.

So let's actually get to The Fucking Point. Sin Interpretations, one by one. Let's fucking do it.

Wrath

The flames of revolution burn bright in the face of cold winds.

Wrath is the Sin of self-righteousness and defiance. To act with Wrath is to decide that one deserves better, that things around then should bend to their will, and then take matters into their own hands. It's the Sin of deciding one has the right to change something simply because they don't like the current state of things.

There are many ways one can act because of Wrath. It can show through trying to rebel against authority, to subvert one's fate, to escape one's unfavorable circumstances, or to even reject one's own true nature. To act with Wrath is to stand up for oneself and tell reality "No, I refuse!" loud and clear.

A common misconception of Wrath is the idea that anger is an inherent part of it. While it's true that those feelings often coincide with defiance, they're not required for one's acts to be fueled by Wrath. Some can be Wrathful while being completely calm and collected, as their acts of defiance could be more on the quiet and simmering side.

Likewise, being quick to anger isn't always a sign of Wrath. It's very possible for someone to have a short temper, while also being fully accepting of the reality they live in (Ryoshu, I am looking directly at you), thus lacking Wrath.

Lust

One's base insticts go all the way back to that genetic code.

Lust is the Sin of self-indulgence. It's the Sin of letting one's own desires and whims dictate one's actions. It's also the Sin of seeking personal fulfillment above all else. To act with Lust is to give up one's self-control and let one's instincts and wants guide them.

Unlike what the name and symbol might initially imply, Lust can include many different types of desires, not just the carnal.

Likewise, acts of Lust can be just as varied as one's desires. Satisfying one's most basic of needs, searching for a form of spiritual enlightenment, or even just saying the first thing that comes to mind because one feels like it are just a few examples.

Sloth

A stone will not care for what happens to it, nor the world around it.

Sloth is the Sin of apathy and resignation. Unlike other Sins, which mostly show through one's direct actions, Sloth can also show through inaction.

To act with Sloth is to ignore reality, to let oneself go along with whatever is happening with barely any complaints. As such, Sloth is commonly associated with blind obedience or unwillingness to act out.

Due to its nature as a Sin of resignation, Sloth can be seen as the direct opposite of Wrath, the Sin of defiance. This creates a unique situation where the inclusion of one can drastically shift the context of the other if both are a part of the same Identity or E.G.O.

Gluttony

Plants never stop waging wars, always wanting just a little bit more.

Gluttony is the Sin of hunger, and it's unique from the other Sins in that it equally represents two different ideas of that hunger, which can appear together just as often as they can be completely seperated.

The first type of Gluttony is one of the starving hunger of survival. In this context, to act with Gluttony is to do anything for the sake of scraping by and living to see another day.

The second type of Gluttony is the hunger for more, or in other words: greed. In this context, to act with Gluttony is to do everything for the sake of this idea of "more". To gain more wealth, to find more recognition, to make more progress.

Both of these types of Gluttony are unified in one main point - they are, by definition, endless. The struggle for survival never ends, unless one fails to survive. Likewise, there is no finite "more" that greed is reaching towards, it's a neverending process of one-upmanship.

Gloom

When a wave of emotion rises, many will be swept away in its wake.

Gloom is the Sin of dwelling on feelings. To act with Gloom is to be guided by one's negative emotions, to buckle under stress and let it control one's mind and actions.

While sadness, grief, and depression are the states of mind most commonly associated with Gloom, and are often a part of it, they're not inherent to it. The only "requirement" here is the experience of severe emotional duress, and acting out in direct response to it.

In a way, Gloom is the Sin of losing control over oneself, not dissimilar to Lust. However, the main difference here is the cause of losing that control. Gloom is the loss of self-control due to being overwhelmed by negative experiences, while Lust is the loss of self-control due to seeking out positive experiences.

Pride

Be careful, for that double-edged sword may cut you as well.

Pride is the Sin of ignoring consequences. Acts of Pride are all actions taken because of the belief that their benefits outweigh the cost in some way. While the most common way this can present is through actions that benefit oneself at the cost of others, it's not the only way Pride can manifest.

One can be Prideful when believing the benefit to many outweighs the consequences. Likewise, refusing to acknowledge the harm one brings to themself because their actions benefit them in some other way also counts as Pride.

The idea that Pride is inherently tied to selfishness or self-confidence is another common misconception. In fact, Prideful acts can manifest just as often from a lack of self-confidence or a misguided selflessness. Rather, one could interpret Pride as a form of willful ignorance, in a way.

Envy

Thorns don't go out of their way to harm, they merely react to your touch.

Envy is the Sin of reaction and retribution. It's the idea of doing something because of what someone else has done. By definition, one cannot act with Envy without some form of provocation.

Like is the case with many other Sins, acts of Envy can take many forms, from taking revenge to following orders. The main connecting idea here is letting oneself be influenced by another person, whether it's being coerced, provoked, ordered, or otherwise manipulated.

Out of all of the Sin misconceptions, seeing Envy as inherently tied to jealousy might be the worst one of all. While acts done out of jealousy would likely count as acts of Envy, they are but a miniscule part of the sheer scope that Envy represents.

Alright, so you know what each of those Sins means. Now it's time to figure out how to Actually Apply Them.

Sin Affinities in the context of Identities

The main way Sins play a role in a given Sinner's Identity is through their Sin Affinities. Mechanically, these are the Sins attributed to each of their skills, signifying both their type of Sin damage and what Sin resource they generate upon being used.

However, this is Project Moon we're talking about, and these fuckers can't keep their gameplay mechanics seperate from the story to save their lives.

So, this begs the question: what can we learn about a Sinner's given Identity through their Sin Affinities?

Here is the method that I believe works best in my experience:

The Sin affinities of each of an Identity's skills represent a different layer of their psyche and motivations. I'm going to try to show what I mean by using base Identities of the four Sinners who already had their own Canto.

Skill 1's Sin Affinity is the surface level motivation of the Sinner's actions. This is the most obvious and "shallow" reading of them and their actions, and also likely the one the Sinners themselves are most aware of.

Gregor's Skill 1 is Gloom due to him being constatly haunted by his trauma, with much of his cynicism and dark-ish sense of humor being shaped by his war experiences. Rodya's Skill 1 is Gluttony due to her tendency to value material goods and love for food, which are signs of her greed and will to survive respectively. Sinclair's Skill 1 is Pride due to him taking many actions (such as sharing his father's secrets or giving Kromer his basement key) for their immediate benefits, without considering the consequences. Yi Sang's Skill 1 is Gloom due to him falling into deep depression and letting the trauma of the past shape his current actions.

Skill 2's Sin Affinity is a deeper motivation of the Sinner's actions. It's delving deeper into their psyche to see what guides them in less obvious ways. This Sin Affinity can also have noticeably closer ties to the Sinner's background in one way or another.

Gregor's Skill 2 is Gluttony due to him being driven by the will to survive, most notably expressed by him leaving the rest of the veterans to escape the war and try to live after it ended. Rodya's Skill 2 is Pride due to her fully believing in what she does working out in her favor, completely ignoring consequences on the way. Her killing the pawnbroker is the biggest example of an act of Pride, as she fully believed that it would help her neighbourhood despite the consequences that murder would bring. Sinclair's Skill 2 is Wrath due to him not accepting his circumstances. His want to defy his future prosthetics procedure is what eventually led him to agreeing with Kromer, and his will to defy her is what drove him through the events of his chapter. Yi Sang's Skill 2 is Envy due to his passive nature and how easily he lets other people dictate his actions. It's especially notable in how after the League fell apart, he would have been willing to do anything Gubo told him at that moment.

Skill 3's Sin Affinity is what I would like to call a Sinner's Core Sin. It's the true main reason behind their actions, and has a much closer and direct tie into their past than the other Sin Affinities. In a way, this is the deepest layer of their psyche.

Gregor's Skill 3 is Sloth as his resignation to his circumstances is what colors much of his past. He learned that resistance is futile early in life, and it shows. Though he didn't want to fight in the war, he felt like he had no choice but to. All of his life, he simply listened to orders without complaint, unable to see a way to change his situation. Rodya's Skill 3 is Wrath as her self-righteousness and defiance is what drove her actions at the deepest level. She first joined the Yurodiviye because she wanted to bring change the state of her neighbourhood, and likewise left them when she no longer agreed with how they did things. Her murder of the pawnbroker was her biggest act of defiance, of taking matters into her own hands and trying to bring change to her reality at all cost. Sinclair's Skill 3 is Envy as much of his actions were dictated by other people. Social pressure was what led to him first breaching the trust of his family, and Kromer's coercion and manipulation is what then led to his family's death. In a way, you could also interpret Sinclair's arc in Canto III as one big act of Envy, as he finally tries to take revenge on Kromer for what she has done. Yi Sang's Skill 3 is Sloth as his apathy to the reality around him is what led to him ignoring the warnings signs of the League falling apart, and the resignation that followed could have resulted in him helping Gubo and the New League out with their horrible plans had there not been an intervention. It's only by the end of Canto IV that he finally manages to break out of this state for long enough to stand up for himself and decide to keep on living.

So, that's the basics of Sin Affinities when it comes to Identities! Now, some of you might be asking, "Hey Lu, what about Sin resources needed for Passives?", and my answer to that is...

Honestly, I don't entirely know! I do think there probably is some reason beyond pure gameplay mechanics... Buuuuut I don't think their importance is as major as the main Sin Affinities of a given Identity, especially since there isn't a single Passive that is activated by a Sin that the given Identity doesn't have any Affinity to.

Sin Affinities in the context of E.G.Os

Alright, so, when it comes to E.G.O, we run into some additional complexities. Unlike Identities, which can usually have their Sins Analysed with minimal additional context, E.G.O Sin Analysis has to be done under a specific angle.

This is because while Identities represent the Sinner as a whole person, E.G.Os represent a specific singular part of that Sinner.

Base E.G.Os usually seem to tie back to a specific event or action or some other thing in that Sinner's past. Likewise, E.G.Os derived from Abnormalities represent the ways that Sinner connects to that Abnormality's own themes.

In a way, the game's worldbuilding even acknowledges the fact that a Sinner can only use the E.G.O of an Abnormality they relate to in some way, as Dante's Notes describe the process of the Sinners using E.G.O as trying to make the Abnormality's emotions and identity their own.

That little tangent aside, there are two main things to analyze sin-wise when it comes to E.G.O - the Sin Affinity, and the Sin Resources necessary to use that E.G.O.

An E.G.O Sin Affinity works similarly to an Identity's Sin Affinities - for a Base E.G.O, it's the main Sin that action manifests as. For an Abno-derived E.G.O, it's the Sin that contextulizes the way the Abno's themes connect to the Sinner in question.

The Sin Resources an E.G.O needs is where things get fun. These are what a Sinner needs to be able to use the E.G.O, both mechanically AND story-wise. The Sins here represent what a Sinner has as their motivation and drive to fully reflect what that E.G.O represents. For Base E.G.Os, it's why they took the actions they did. For Abno E.G.Os, it's why they connect to that Abno's themes and why they're able to relate to it.

Now... There is one more thing about E.G.Os that I don't really talk about.

Sin Resistances.

The reason why I don't talk about them... Is because I have No Fucking Clue how to interpret them. There has to be some importance to them (Hong Lu being weak to Wrath in all of his E.G.O thus far, I am looking at you), I just don't know what it is. In fact, I doubt we even have enough information available to us right now to be able to say for sure.

Dosing the Batch Boys: (Glitterstim)

In Disgrace (ch3) Crosshair and Tah'nyem are dosed with Glitterstim, a psychoactive variant of spice made by the spiders that live in the caves of Kessel. It lets you read minds...This results in their minds slamming together in new an confusing ways, which is fun for their chapter but it even occurs to them that it might be even funner in bed, let's explore that a little.

Though glitterstim is canon it's underutilized and definitely not utilized the way that I do, so this is very HC based. We're also going to assume that the drug doesn't affect the health of the boys in anyway. (Echo, sweetie I worry about you other wise.)

Hunter-

I think what would get Hunter off the most about being in your brain is the complete confirmation that all of your praise is genuine. All the boys might be surprised at just how attracted clonethirst girlies are to them but Hunter is particularly susceptible to the flattery of it. Ego boosted, the next aspect he would utilize is the direct feedback for how pleasurable his actions were. You'd probably not get to actively participate as much because he would get wrapped up in feeling what heights he could drive you to.

Wrecker-*let me in meme goes here*

What is going on in there? I can only imagine Wrecker's brain being a kind of messy place, sparks flying back and forth, complex equations drawn in crayon... What would be hot about it is just how overwhelmed with his emotions you would get. With practice he might be able to hold back but without it your brain is getting flooded. Joy, exuberance, and of course the sexual pleasure on a feedback loop. Actually, don't do this with Wrecker, you two are gonna fry.

Echo-

You'd have to ease Echo into this, he'd feel a little self conscious that you might feel any discomfort his implants and prosthetics might cause him, and you would, but having that open map would guide you to new ways to comfort him and make him feel good. He'd also find himself enjoying a type of relief basking in your mind. Like Hunter, he'd be enamored with feeling what he does to you and would try to heighten your experience more than focusing on himself.

Crosshair-

Cross isn't a selfish lover, but unlike Hunter and Echo he's very of the mindset that pleasure is a two way street. He'd more than likely take advantage of the connection by doing things that are mutually beneficial and might yield crazy results via feedback a la 69ing. More closed off and focused, Crosshair would have more control over holding your mind on task, easily keeping you away from parts of him he wouldn't want you to see.

Where do I start?

Absolute dog shit at staying on task, once you let this little gremlin loose in your brain he'll start to rip you apart like an engine. Good luck keeping him out of your deepest darkest secrets, your half forgotten ruminations, dreams, and whatever other threads he gets his hands on. Not like it'd be much better, but you can also step into the whirring whirlwind resting in his brain pan. A single calculated thought releases so much mental energy you're floored immediately. There's not even sex yet, and since you'd be a helpless kitten of an rc car hooked up to the power of a jet engine you might as well let him run wild kriffing you within full efficiency.

She never gets a clean slate with the rest of the Batch Boys since she was exposed quite strongly to Crosshair's opinions of them. His opinions of them directly after Kamino. Yeah.

Also more of a fun fact, in case of alternative dimension shenanigans, Tahny would always be able to pick her Crosshair out of a line up. Even if it's between other Crosshair's that had Glitterstim experiences with other Tah'nyems.

{prooobably a bad time to post this considering its pretty late over here, and i think its also probably fair to assume that its pretty late on your end to. buuut i gotta do it now or ill forget.

so! as you've seen prior, we've had occasional interactions with "duplicates" of members of the party- yknow, the fact that theres at least three siffrins, and that one king, and another bonnie hanging around. amongst, ah.... other things.

but, issue is, we as a group have kiiind of- intentionally or not- created a specific universe/timeline for ourselves. one with "official" individuals standing in for each character. which is a long way of saying that we can't really have our characters interact directly- as in face-to-face- if they're a character who has a pre-claimed "role".

long story short: we probably won't be able to have "duplicates" in the central story since it would disrupt it and what we have planned. i promise its no hard feelings, it would just get. Really Messy. otherwise.

that being saiiiiid, we still wanna interact with ya'll, regardless of whether your playing your oc, an alternate timeline version of pre-exisiting character, or something else entirely! (King set up the Anon-Bird thing for that exact reason, but it obviously has it's faults.)

i cannot speak for the others at this time- i think it's sort of a mixed bag of indecision and we need to discuss it more. but i, personally, would love to interact face-to-face. i did say i was welcoming you all with open arms, after all! (it's really our bad for not being a little clearer....)

so, with that noted, my personal solution is to create the concept of "out of universe" interaction. this way we can still have our characters hang out, and it won't disrupt the main timeline. generally speaking, isabeau will still be in whatever physical (and mental) state he is during that point in the timeline, but there won't be the weight of it disrupting what's actually going on for him and getting everything wildly off track.

i reiterate that this isn't a hard rule. this won't necessarily carry across blogs, and, while i dont want to promise anything, if we collectively choose to continue on after the main story is finished, i'll probably loosen it up considerably. because i think the concept having multiples of the same character running around a still recovering vaugarde for no discernible reason is hilarious. and i have a fun idea for connecting prior OoU interactions to make them a little more "canon"- ish.

but, y'know, we all still need to discuss this properly.

TL;DR: we can't currently "canonically" have our characters interact directly if they're "duplicates" of characters in the main timeline. that being said, we still wanna rp with those folks, so i personally will be making the decision to open up "out of universe" interaction with people so we can still interact without creating a disruption. the others might not do the same, though.

Crackpot Theorycrafting: Prince Orpheus is the son of Gith and Zerthimon

I know I'm quite 'late' putting this out but I needed to let it ruminate for a while longer. To preface, there's very little evidence in Baldur's Gate 3 and even Dungeons & Dragons lore, as a whole about who Orpheus's father/sire was... so this theory is almost entirely conjecture and brainrot.

Don't take it as anything solid, this is just the ramblings of a lunatic with nothing better to do with her time.

Also, (obvious) spoiler warning cause it mainly uses stuff from Baldur's Gate 3's story. Most information is sourced from The Forgotten Realms wiki as it's the most 'decent' source of D&D info for me to find relatively quickly and be accurate.

Anyway, on with the show.

Baldur's Gate 3 establishes some 'certain' things about Orpheus's connection and role within the githyanki lore (and D&D lore) as it is nowadays.

For those who are not in the know, the 'gith' were a slave race to the Illithid Empire but thanks to the strength and collaboration of Gith, Zerthimon and Vlaakith, they fought and gained their independence and brought the Illithid Empire to its knees but were soon wrecked by a civil war, called the Proclamation of Two Skies, that tore the gith race into two distinct factions/culture; the Githyanki (gith who followed Gith and Vlaakith) and the Githzerai (gith who followed Zerthimon).

The first time you meet Orpheus, some interesting things are immediately noticeable about him, starting with the gith himself(ignoring the infernal chains, that's a different story). Orpheus exhibits attire, body art, and a beard that is characteristic of the Githzerai and even his in-game class is that of a Monk (as well as his honor guard). What's this have to do with his relation to Zerthimon?

Githyanki don't look and dress like this and, to be honest, Orpheus's whole 'drip' looks more like Githzerai 5e art than Githyank art.

However, Orpheus identifies himself, quite confidently, as a Githyanki (and BG3 gives further 'evidence' of this through some of the endings, when he departs on a red dragon), so I suspect he never actually spent time with the Githzerai yet has chosen to embody the philosophies of an important role model... which had to be Zerthimon, before the civil war. Very flimsy proof of fatherhood, I know, but it makes sense in my deranged mind.

But Lae'zel says githyanki reproduce asexually. Sure... as far as she knows. We have no real 'facts' if the information Lae'zel was taught (all controlled by Vlaakith, mind you) was right, wrong, or only partially correct. Perhaps they can but if that was their 'primary' form of reproduction, I feel like the githyanki would be nowhere near as diverse-looking people as we see them... but that's just applying logic for the sake of my own headcanon.

Anyway, given that we have no real confirmation of event timelines, I also assume Vlaakith I is the one who imprisoned Orpheus in the Astral Prism after he rebelled against her in retaliation for trading Gith to Tiamat. (a slate inside the prism itself states Vlaakith I was the one who commissioned it's construction and, assumedly, the shackles as well, given their infernal design), which would suggest Orpheus was around/existed before or during the civil war, at least. There's not reason I can think of Vlaakith, any of the Vlaakith's would permit him to persist to threaten her reign plus his useful ability served her greatly.

predictions for ep 3 based on ep1&2 and previews:

+ just some general hunches and some arcs I can see happening as a storyteller myself. I have a week in between episodes and some time to kill ... so why the hell not put on my analysis goggles?

First and foremost, the Mew/Top/Boston fuckery (+ some Nick theories):

Based on Boston's actions and reputation as someone who sleeps around, I think Mew may have guessed right away how Top and Boston actually know each other. It's not hard to guess. This could be another reason why Mew is making Top work so hard for it.

Based on previews for Ep 3, there are so many possibilities on how it will pan out, but I think Top and Boston will definitely end up fucking. How, you ask? Why would Top agree to sleep with Boston after rejecting him so many times? Welllll ... we ALSO see in the preview 1) Boston trying to make Top jealous of RayMew and 2) Nick finding the photobooth photos of TopBoston. I don't think #1 has quite as much a chance of working as the preview makes us think. I think Top is confident enough that Mew likes him, and that Ray's feelings are unrequited. BUT, Boston holding something over Top to get him to sleep with him? 1000% plausible and would make much more sense given their dynamic - and the uncomfortable way in which Top simply ... didn't fight when Boston assaulted him in the shower (yes, I'm calling it assault. There was no consent). I think Top already knows that Boston has some leverage in their relationship. (Or, there's simply trauma for Top we haven't been introduced to yet, which is also completely plausible.)

But do I think Boston will actually have those photos in his possession by the end of the episode? Hell to the no. I think Nick will definitely swipe them for himself, as collateral to keep Boston around (in addition to the sex tape, which we have yet to see). We haven't seen Nick interact with ANY of the other characters, except for Sand, but that doesn't mean he isn't connected to other characters. I would not be surprised if Nick and Mew know each other somehow, or at the very least, he knows that Top is pursuing Mew and that Boston is friends with Mew. This is the queer community after all, and Top is one of the "Top Tier" which means everyone knows him, and word will have spread that he's pursuing someone named Mew. And just because we haven't seen Nick at the bar, doesn't mean he doesn't go.

I would not be surprised if Nick is the one to spill the tea about TopBoston to Mew (also just made myself laugh because - you know, spill the tea + Boston = Boston tea party. I can't with myself sometimes ya'll).

I think it would be soooo interesting for Boston to have his own dirty games used against him, by someone as seemingly innocent as Nick. Boston thinks he has the control in their relationship because of how blatantly Nick is into him, but Nick isn't above using manipulation and blackmail either.

(Also, can we just appreciate that Boston labeled the photos as "Hot Night" like who even is this guy)

BUT let's go back to TopBoston fucking in the car, yeah? Let's just assume this is a normal parking lot or side street. A parking lot/side street is a public space, and ANYONE can walk by and see what they're doing, so why have sex in a car of all places if you're not trying to get caught? Well, Top may not want to get caught, but could be under the influence enough, jealous enough, or under Boston's thumb just enough to agree to it. I think Boston definitely wants them to get caught. There really is only one scenario I see playing out, but it could play out in many ways. This is where Nick comes in.

As suggested in the preview for ep 3, Nick walks by and sees SOMETHING. The preview suggests it might be SandRay, but that wouldn't make sense thematically. Plus, the lighting doesn't match. But you know what scene it DOES match?

Also, it was in the OG trailer too that Nick catches TopBoston together, which I think means he'll have a huge role to play. I have a hunch he might actually see TopBoston fucking and videotape it to use as further blackmail against Boston. Boy's got a collection at this point.

Another possibility is that Mew sees it all for himself and continues to act beautifully oblivious to the fuckery happening behind his back while preparing some sort of revenge (or absolutely lose his shit and beat Boston like shown in the OG trailer). And also, based on ep 2 when he goes to grab them both from the showers, I have the suspicion he had the motive to catch them - which he doesn't, but he certainly notices Boston's shorts on the floor. I wouldn't be surprised if he notices them sneaking off alone and decides to catch them in the act.

Maybe both or neither of these HCs are going to happen. Who knows! Moral of the story: SOMEONE is going to see TopBoston fucking and the consequences are going to be juicy.

experience in RP — A long time. I've been rping since the Myspace days! Then I bounced around a lot. Left Tumblr for a few years and recently came back.

best experiences — I used to be a part of the Kingdom Hearts community back when Tumblr was really thriving (in the early 2010's), when rping in groups rather than independently was a big thing. I roleplayed Vanitas and made some really awesome friends in that group! We called ourselves the KH Crack Crew, lol. We would all talk every day on Skype! Those were good times and sometimes I still think about all of them. We just sort of drifted apart when we started to explore other fandoms, and yeaaaaa.... I still miss my KHCC squad sometimes, though we're all still friends on Facebook!

pet peeves / dealbreakers — Godmodding. I can't stand it. Even if it's something as small as assuming what my character is going to do next. If you want to have the scene go a certain way, there's a way you can write it and if my character does deviate from your original plan, you can take the story elsewhere. That's what can make rp really fun! The only times I'm willing to let it slide is in drabbles, lol.

My other pet peeve is taking what my character does way too personally outside of character. Like, ya'll know this is fake, right? lmao. At the end of the day, we're just writing our silly little characters in our silly little worlds. If it's ruining your day that badly, please go outside and touch some grass.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — So I'm actually a huge sucker for romance plots. Romance, fluff, smut, slice of life. Also omegaverse, hehehe. I'm also a huge historical romance nut (think Bridgerton, lol)!

I've sort of moved on from fandom muses and now focus more on OC's (I really only rp on Discord these days, and 9/10 times it's M/M. I do have a F/F historical romance plot that I adore rn tho). Strelly and Cindy are the first muses I've picked up in years, and started rping on Tumblr again. So sometimes I feel rusty playing an established character I didn't make myself. But I'm trying! 〒▽〒 Anyways, give me that romantic nasty shit!! And make it gay as hell!!

plot or memes — Both! I think it's fun to meme and get into a character's mind that you normally wouldn't get a chance to play out. Or just being silly gooses. But I'm also down for always plotting and making something deep and personal!

I'm pretty good about matching the length of a partner's. Unless I got nothing else to say, then it'll be on the shorter side. best time to write — In the mornings! I do rp replies in between slow periods at work. I work from home, so I can get away with it, lol. Which is why you'll see me online for a good part of the day. It's also when I have the most energy. I'm an early bird and I'm burnt out by the time the evening rolls around. Sometimes I can write in the evenings, but that's very rare. So I try to knock out as much as I can in the mornings.

We survived a pandemic, ya'll...

I have been feeling perhaps the most depressed I've ever been, but a conversation I shared with a good friend has helped me put things in perspective. We connected over how sophomore year had bulldozed us and left us burned out and (in my case) anxious about the upcoming school year.

And I thought, you know what? I hadn't been excited about school since before Covid! Think about it. Our generation has lost a lot of joy because our psychology was put on hold for a few mask-infested years. We were lost in a haze of online school, social media and being chronically online. It's no wonder mental illness has been a heightened issue in our society. Some of us were sitting in front of screens for 8-10 hours a day.

Of course, what we students went through doesn't compare to developing communities who lost families, jobs or livelihood. But I'm not writing this to compare. Every human on God's green earth experiences life differently and we all have moments of crippling weakness and sorrow. What we need to do is acknowledge our pain, not constantly run away from it, not distract ourselves to the point of numbness. And we certainly ought not to assume we can overcome our pain on our own.

I see the same trends across Instagram reels, YouTube shorts and clips of Tiktoks: people are trying to make sense of this world by filling ourselves up with distractions. But that's counterproductive to our goal. We will never be satisfied on earth because, well, we aren't meant to live in such a broken world.

College is so short, people! We only have a few precious years to hang with friends whenever we want, explore academia, and avoid paying bills. And our worth as we move through college isn't dependent on the amount of friends we have or our straight A's or all the checked-off boxes in our planners. We have worth because we're human, created in the image of a loving and just God.

And beyond that... I want to encourage anyone reading this. Everyone walks through dark tunnels in life. Some more than others. But there is always, always, always a light at the end of the tunnel, and I hope to God you keep walking to the end.

Oh my gosh! Isn't it?! Like, ya'll! This game has been out for a long time! Why has no one put this in a Wiki!? Like, I'm practically breaking my back to find the other names for things like the Golden Apple, the Muddlebud, the Puffshroom, ALL of the new fruit, the Dark Clumps, the Brightbloom & Giant Brightbloom Seeds, the Deep Firefly, the Glowing Cave Fish, the Brightcap, the Goat Butter, the Sticky Frog, or the Sticky Lizard from TotK & so many others!! Like, the heck!? And I don't wanna just assume the names based on the English, because, for all I know, the Italian name for the Golden Apple might be some sort of super clever or poetic reference to the legend of Diana & Melanion or the Greek myth about the Apples of Discord!

To be fair, it wasn't just Zephos, it was Zephos & his brother, Cyclos, who were both gods of the wind. And, maybe they represent specific winds, whereas Farore could be representative of the winds, in-general? Though, I think that something to keep in mind is that Farore is said to have created all life, but courage isn't directly connected with creating life in the same way that Wisdom can be connected with laws & Power can be with shaping & cultivating the land. So, I dunno. I guess that I just figure that there must be more to their domains than that?

I mean, why would each & every godly title need to encompass everything they rule over at once? It's likely that “Goddess of Time” is just one of Nayru's many epithets. Like how Aphrodite, despite being a goddess of sexual love, is also known as “victory bringer.” And how, despite Mars most commonly being known as a god of war & the madness it brings, he’s also known as a protector of cattle & crops. Where is this idea that deities can only have one domain coming from, though?

And, yeah, I get ya. It's very irritating to not be able to find an accurate translation. But, oh man! You really missed out on the Tingle Tuner! (See, you need a GBA in order to use it. Has to be plugged into the Game Cube's controller ports to work. So, it sort of made WW a semi 2-player game.) It was actually legitimately fun & interesting! Though, from what I'm aware, WWHD replaced it with these little Tingle head-shaped bottles that was essentially just street pass. =.= So, uuuuh… Bit of a downgrade.

Actually, I was curious about the holes opening in the rain thing & it turns out that it can happen in areas that are prone to sinkholes if there's heavy rain. Evidently, it’s because the soil soaks up the water, causing it to become heavy & collapse. Not sure if that’s what the creators intended, but it’d be cool if they did. :D

So, who knows? Maybe there's a legitimate reasoning behind the use of the Song of Time causing these blocks to appear & disappear? *shrugs*

Fair. But then, why would Hylia be able to lift islands up into the sky? Is it being implied that the land had once fallen from the sky & she just… reversed time in order to “lift” it back up, then stopped time entirely to keep it there? Bit confusing… Not trying to discourage, just understand.

Actually… Maybe I should ask you how, exactly, it is that you interpret deities in Zelda? Like, how many domains are you saying they rule over in your interpretation of things? Feels a bit like we're talking past each other atm.

Honestly, I can't even get mad at the logic of taking Hylia's words as a clue, because it's the same exact logic that I use when I'm theorizing myself. However, I refuse to let go of the idea of Hylia having been a theater kid trying to impress her man. XD Again, she had the statues built with opening & closing mouths so they could actually sing! But I will contend that she could well be the Goddess of Time.

Except, if he was never physically traveling to begin with. Technically speaking, Link was just comatose in the Sacred Realm for 7 years & woke up. Otherwise, he'd still be physically a child in the future. It's going back that complicates things. Now, again, this is mostly just theory, but I believe that what was happening was that Link's consciousness was going back & forth in time & that Zelda simply sent his memories of what all happened back a bit further. Though, if this is the case, then it'd likely make what you're suggesting fairly easy as well. I mean, it just seems like it'd be easier to send memories through time/space than it would a physical body, ya know? Kinda like wifi or radio waves. I mean, think about it. If it were really so easy for her to just send physical people through time, then why were the Gates of Time necessary? Though, I think part of it has to do with Zelda having been the Sage of Time using the Ocarina of Time to play the Song of Time.

Eh, I'm just neurotic, is all! Also, I find it fun trying to figure out more interesting names for these places while still managing to make it sound right! Funnily enough, looking into these sorts of things has really helped me to think of new ideas for lore.

What I'm still struggling with is the name for Shadow Hamlet. I have a few options: Hawston meaning “hamlet at the summit of a pass,” Slawilthorp meaning “mountain mining hamlet,” Huelfell meaning “mountain mine,” Bulchuel meaning “mountain pass mine,” & Colthorp meaning “mountain pass hamlet.”

And Tabantha Village, but I definitely think that I want it to end with “heim.”

As for technology. Well, I remember in an AoC side quest, there was a Gerudo who was studying new applications for lightning magic. So, maybe that could be one of the branches of tech that the Gerudo would find easiest to work in? That & the sort of tech they have in Cadence of Hyrule would create a neat contrast from the more sleek designs of the Sheikah Tech. Either way, I suspect that each race would likely show a tendency to focus more on things that would be useful for their own races. Not really in order to get ahead, but more so just due to having a different perspective on the world & what they consider to be important. So, I see a Rito researcher as being frustrated by the fact that they were unable to get up to the Skylands & being motivated to invent wings aids or some such. Meanwhile, a Goron researcher (which, BTW, if Darston was born in the Wild Era, he'd TOTALLY be a Goron Researcher) would probably invent things like the Drillshaft from BotW as a means to help miners.

Oh, heavens. It would've been amazing to be able to send Sheikah Warriors to infiltrate Yiga compounds! I would've loved it! Also, imagine working undercover & using espionage to find out the Yiga Clan's plans. Or some Yiga going turncoat like Dorian for one reason or another.

I've been thinking about adjusting my Merged Timelines Theory & I just realized something. The only characters in HW that were "from" the Downfall Timeline weren't technically part of the Downfall Timeline itself. Ravio is from Lorule, which is a dark reflection of the DF Hyrule, & Marin was either part of a dream or trapped in one that was brought about by a spirit.

As such, it's possible that the only timeliness that could've been merged were the Adult & Child ones. If so, then that would leave the Downfall Timeline unchanged & thereby allow for consequences to exist for Time's death.

However, that would mean that, even after all these years, we still have zero clue as to what happens after Zelda 2. Like, none, & it was the 2 game in the franchise.

So, if nothing else, then I'm kinda hoping that the next game at least touches upon that.

I knew you were going to answer that saying "this is unfair" isn't real life logic haha (and I agree that life hasn't been fair to Sky and Sun anyway). It's just that such an ending would probably leave me feeling unsatisfied and even a bit robbed, and I think it would require a lot of other changes to be made to the story in order for it to work properly. But anyway you're right, as things are now this would just be happening behind the scenes so what I'm saying doesn't really make sense. But just thinking about it changes my perception of SS in a way I don't really enjoy, so it's not a theory I favor.

Yes in that setting I'm pretty sure that the other Sun would not make herself known to Link and Zelda and would let them have their happy ending. But I think Zelda would likely suspect her existence and know that something is wrong. I guess even Link could notice that the Temple's doors are suddenly open and would ask Impa a few questions.

I had no idea Tingle called Farore the Goddess of Wind in WW, so I went on a little quest to see if I could find the same quote in the French version of the game. Apparently it's in Tingle's description of Outset Island and I never had the chance to play with the Tingle Tuner mode. I can't find the same quote in French anywhere and I don't even know if this was included in the HD remake (I guess I'll have to wait for a Switch version to find out… if they ever release one). This has me wondering if this quote isn't something exclusive to the English version, but I can't be sure and I'd like to know what the original Japanese text says. The French wikis mention that Farore is the Goddess of Wind in WW but don't provide any quote, it just looks like the pages were translated from English but that they couldn't find the same quote in French. It's really frustrating!!

Anyway that's a bit weird because WW already establishes Zephos as the God of Wind, and he seems to be a minor deity compared to Farore. The way I see it, wind is just the element that Farore tends to be associated with, and since a lot of myths might have been lost with Hyrule in WW this could just be a mistake on Tingle's part. I mean this is the game that gave us the Golden Triumph Forks haha.

I'm not limiting Nayru/the Golden Goddesses to a singular domain, quite the opposite ^^ To me Nayru being the Goddess of Wisdom includes different concepts such as order, law, science, magic, etc., and even time (since she's introduced as the creator of the world's fondamental laws), while calling her the Goddess of Time doesn't include all of that. That's why I wrote that I found it a bit restrictive. But sure she could have both titles, the same way Farore could be known most commonly as the Goddess of Courage and also called the Goddess of Wind in some situations.

Oh I didn't think of the blocks from OoT! I would say though that they don't really use any time powers, they're just random blocks that appear or disappear for some reason when Link plays the Song of Time (it's just as absurd as playing the Song of Storms to open holes in the ground haha). But yes they were blue and associated with time, and of course Nayru is too. The difference with Hylia in my theory is that Nayru created the rules of time (if that makes sense) among other fundamental laws, while Hylia's power specifically allows her to manipulate time and foresee the future. In a way I see Hylia as Nayru's spiritual daughter who inherited some of her powers over time (and that's why the color purple she's represented with is very close to blue).

The Master Sword has also been depicted as either blue or purple though, so that asks the question of the true color of all of these things! Nayru is definitely linked to time so it makes sense that the timeshift stones are in Lanayru (and Hylia also doesn't have a province named after her).

"From the edge of time" could definitely just be a poetic way to say that Hylia kind of recorded a message for Link before dying haha. But I find it interesting that she would phrase it like that, I like to see it as a clue.

Well if Zelda simply sent Link to a point further back in time, wouldn't there be two Links existing at the same time in the Child Timeline? But sure Zelda creating a brand new timeline also raises a few questions that kind of... make my head hurt. I'm not sure what happens exactly, I've always wondered! All we know is that Link finds himself in the Master Sword's chamber with the Door of Time already open, which hints at things happening in a different way this time (because he definitely doesn't have the three spiritual stones and the Ocarina of Time yet since this is before Ganon's coup, and the ending seems to imply that this timeline's Zelda doesn't know him yet). That's why I believe Zelda might have done something a bit more complex than sending him to a point further back in time, but there's no way to be sure. The Triforce of Courage is also visible on Link's hand during the ending, and we also know thanks to TP that the Triforce is still separated in the Child Timeline despite Link and Zelda preventing Ganon from entering the Sacred Realm this time. So maybe Zelda isn't able to change everything? It's complicated haha.

Anyway, whether OoT Zelda creates a new timeline or just sends Link further back in time, that's still huge time powers and that's not something Link is able to do by playing Zelda's Lullaby.

I also believe it is more likely that Talon inherited the ranch. True, Talon might not always have been so lazy, but maybe if that was the case the game could have hinted at hit. All we know is that he leaves his daughter alone with Ingo and only comes back after Link deals with the situation, which does not make him look so great. And he only promises to work harder after that.

I'm kind of bad with names so I'm impressed you're going through all of that trouble to rename the settlements!!

I haven't gotten to developping the technology that much yet, but I'm really interested in seeing what the different races could do with it! I love the idea of using the Sheikah to infiltrate the Yiga bases. I wish TotK had done something like that and shown the Sheikah helping Link that way.

Yes I thought you could maybe use clos! Aquaticlos is funny, it can work! Though maybe you could use the same logic as for the raisins (I love this Raisins de Terre idea by the way, it makes sense!) and say that what the Zoras call a clos already refers to something that's underwater, since that's probably the case for most of what they cultivate.

Working as the assistant of a very important figure in the New York Statesman building isn’t all as glitz and glam as it sounds. 

You were chosen - amongst so many other, more suitable, candidates - to be Jack Daniels assistant. Apparently something about you in particular was so special that he just had to have you be his personal run-around; answering his calls, taking messages or patching them through, collecting his mail, organising his weekly schedule, grabbing his lunch or his coffee every hour of the damn day. 

Whatever it be that makes you excel in your job role more than others, all you really saw yourself as was Agent Whiskey's errand girl. That was until one day four months ago when the man showed what you really mean to him - which was more than you assumed at first. Jack saw you the very first day you arrived for your interview. You stood out from the crowd like a sore thumb, sitting amongst men and women who looked like they were fresh out of the modelling industry, while you looked a little nerdy. 

You wouldn’t say that you look nerdy, but just comparing your style to theirs, you were seriously lacking the sexy look, and during your interview - which wasn’t even hosted by Jack - they took one look over your resume and gave you the job on the spot. No questions asked, just stated the monthly salary, and it’s a lot, gave you a time and date to start then sent you on your merry little way. 

At the time, it felt like you were making a deal with the devil, as if there was a catch somewhere hidden in the contract, however after showing up to your first day of work and running around all day after Agent Whiskey, doing each and every normal errand that he could ask from an assistant, you quickly started to think you had struck gold instead. 

Then, as more and more time passed working alongside Whiskey and not under him, you grew a bond, a connection to him that felt odd at first but became something beautiful. He’s always been a gentleman, right from the beginning, which you appreciate a whole hell of a lot considering the horror stories you’ve heard from friends about their bosses being disgusting sleazeballs. 

So you therefore suppose that’s where your attraction to Jack began to blossom, just having the bare minimum of respect that you deserve. But it wasn’t just the bare minimum either, it was more. Jack included you wherever he could, asked for your help and opinions, though he kept you out of the physical side of his line of work, you spent a lot of time in his office, helping him crack cases - which wasn’t really a part of your job, but you enjoyed nonetheless. 

Jack gave you days off whenever something came up, drove you home or picked you up whenever you had car trouble, offered you to join him during lunch, or asked to join you, continuously praised your work efforts and still does, brought you along to work meetings, big social events or fancy dinners with the cities officials. You didn’t just get a job in the New York's Statesman tower, you joined the Statesman - joined the family. 

And for one whole week, when a woman arrived at the office, you felt like you were just Jack's run-around because of jealousy. You instantly became aware of your attraction for your boss during that week because you were jealous of the woman who was stealing his attention from you. Her presence made your work boring and what it should be in the first place, because Jack was too busy with her, instead of you. 

Unfortunately, the jealousy bubbled up the surface and your thoughts spiralled, tricking yourself into believing you were just Jack's little errand girl all along, that he was just sweet talking you enough to not see that you were his slave that does everything he asks - but that wasn’t true, none of it was. She flew in from another branch in a different state, bringing with her, a new shipment of upgraded tech and the reason she stayed for the whole week is because she has family here. And besides, Jack and Ginger Ale have worked with each other many times in the past, however he hadn’t worked with her since you joined, therefore you didn’t know about her. 

But it’s besides the point, your jealousy blinded you from seeing reality, blinded you from seeing the way Jack tried to include you on numerous occasions but you ignored them all through your stubbornness. You fucked up royally and even contemplated looking for a new job, over thinking the whole situation once again as you though Jack would hate you for your sudden change of attitude. 

However, you once again, could never have been more wrong. After thinking calmly and not with your insecurities, you took the right approach and talked to Jack, apologizing for your actions, explaining where they come from and why, then told him that however he likes to deal with it, you would understand. 

Jack dealt with it by bending you over his desk and fucking some sense into you all night long until sunrise. Then, like the gentleman he always was, he bought you a clean set of clothes and breakfast, then shared a long three hour chat detailing how he has always had a crush on you, that he understood why you reacted the way you did and he is absolutely not mad about it either. In fact, he even went as far as sharing that it was hot and turned him on like crazy. 

Though you blushed red like a tomato for a good chunk of that morning, feeling embarrassed for getting jealous in the first place, the man went above and beyond to banish you shame forever. He asked you there and then if you’d like to skip past all of the fuss around dating and just be his lady. And at that point, after spending half a year working alongside him, you pretty much already were his lady, therefore your answer was an immediate yes. 

This conversation with Jack took place four months ago now, and you’ve never felt more emotionally secure. Still working alongside him, more like his partner rather than his assistant, you’re a team now. And at the end every working day, he calls you into his office for your ‘reward’ for all of your hard work before heading home together. 

Even right now, as the clock nears the end of your shift, you can feel his gaze on you from his office. Though you don’t look up at him, you can just see in the corner of your eyes how he’s waiting to call you into his office. Your legs squeeze together at the thought, lips roll together to hide your blushing smile and your sex pulses with anticipation for your reward.

ok so I've been thinking about this since it came in but haven't had time until now BUT

Matt first! Matt mentions in S2 at the gala that he likes to listen to 90s Top 40. This includes a shit ton of good stuff - you've got everyone from Whitney Houston and Elton John to Nirvana and Green Day (no way teenage Matt didn't have a Green Day period). On top of that, in the comics iirc he mentions enjoying Jazz, and I know Charlie's been asked the same question and said he imagined Matt would like listening to classical (if I was building on that last one along with Matt's stated fondness for 90s top 40, I'd say he'd especially enjoy, say, an artist like David Garrett who frequently does rock covers with his violin). I could pick just one of those to lean into as to what Matt likes, but I don't think I need to. I think it's far more likely that Matt's a blend of musical tastes, because with his heightened senses, there'd be different things to appreciate with each. And while I do think there are songs and sounds he finds unpleasant, I think he can swing around pretty easily between genres. I see him listening to a fair amount of 90s/2000s rock (tends to drown the world out, and the rebellious streak in him probably takes some pleasure in enjoying what he might have been told was 'worldly listening' by nuns). But I also see him as enjoying a fair amount of softer classical songs or pop and folk (easier on his ears, or nice for dates as we know), as well as jazz (relaxing). This is great for Jane, because it means Matt would have an excellent talent for pulling out old hits she only vaguely remembers listening to but really enjoyed, and also for following her on whatever musical journey she takes - he'd also be a little more up to date on music than her, so he'd probably introduce her to some new(ish) alt artists, softer sounds usually - Jaymes Young, some of Hozier's newer stuff, songs he thinks she'll connect to.

Sweet moment: somewhere lost in the mountain of asks in my box I vaguely remember someone saying they could see Matt liking to play Jane love songs to see if he could get her to sing them later, like she was singing to him. And I love this and agree with it. Especially on bad and broken, self-loathing days, cause he needs love on those days, wants to hear Jane hum or quietly sing the words, because then it's like she's singing all that love to him. And once she figures out that's what he's doing, she makes a point of doing it more often, even putting on the songs herself and mumbling them quietly as he lays with his head on her chest, her fingers in his hair.

Jane next. I had to think about this for a while (and as always, as musical preferences are VERY personal, ya'll are free to disregard this). I can tell you that while she's ok with classical now and can even enjoy it sometimes (first date), she had to work at that one with Ciro since there was a lot of classical played 'for brain development' while she was at White Coat's facility. Outside that though, she wasn't sure what she liked when she first came out. She tried a lot of things with Ciro and Eli and Sophia, much like she did with food, hunting for what she enjoyed. I think, at least initially, a lot of the music she heard - classical, pop, jazz, country, ballads, Disney even - was too... gentle. Cause this poor kid? She was angry. She felt awkward, out of place. She still felt trapped by nightmares and PTSD, and wanted to feel free, to shout, to revel in something that wasn't slow and measured and soft, something that seemed to acknowledge the pain of what she'd went through. But you know what channeled those feelings really well? Fucking punk rock. And if we assume she's close to Matt's age, then at 16 she was freed at the right time to roll right into Green Day, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance. I think she vibed hard with that genre during those few years with Ciro before going on the run again, and it's something she'll always have a fondness for even if she's now expanded her tastes - because ultimately I think, with where she's at now, she's become a bit of a racoon. She'd delight in listening to artists across multiple genres based solely on some random quirk or line or chorus that stuck in her head, just because she can. Which means Matt's just as likely to come home to Jane howling along to a nostalgic punk rock song as he is to her blasting some random Broadway tune she heard in a cab (no one is immune to Lin Manuel) or a Taylor Swift song on loop because this sounds like us, Matt, what the fuck, have you heard this?

Funny moment: needless to say she is not prepared for Dance Dance to be her song of the evening as Matt walks through the door one night - she freezes, wondering if this is going to be an Ow My Ears song.

At least until he throws out, 'I'm two quarters and a heart down' and tosses his cane as her eyes light up and he grins-

Basic ass question but: does your system do internal meetings? And if you do, do ya'll have any rules for the meetings? We're trying to experiment with doing meetings but I'm stuck on 'what rules do we need, if any at all?'

We do occasionally, but rarely do we have formal meetings as just internally run meetings cause we tend to get caught in a dissociative headache trying to have that many parts in communication at once and also it tends to get hectic. If we do, we tend to be in the shower where its easier to dissociate and like... evenly spread out / share and even then we try to keep it to like.... well connected parts and few in number.

As for rules, we don't really do rules cause our system already has an issue and history of being extremely repressive to one another, so we have a mutual agreement of best intent (ie try to be in best intent and assume best intent) and thats it.

A lot of our system members in a group can sometimes be very headbutty with eachother too so we tend to just keep to small groups and circle around members as to reduce chaos and all.

For more conflict-prone or heavy meetings, we actually try to kind of "slow" the conversation and organize ourselves more by using the app antar to simultaneously like... kind of have an internal meeting but use an external source to "focus" the conversation line. It isn't the easiest to do cause you kind of have to like... dissociate and abandon the body to "auto type" which takes some experience in my experience, but usually that helps a lot in keeping us from like... breaking out into a horrible fist fight or some shit
