For the ask game 11 and 14
11: how'd you get the idea for your most recent wip?
Okay... I have about 3 wips? So-
For "Scott Smajor on: Surviving", I was thinking if what Scott's roll might be in "Tommy Innit's Identity Crisis" and thought it'd be funny if he was a news reporter because he's part of the MCC team. I think I was also trying to watch Joel's pov of Last Life, and that got me into Grian's 3rd Life which brought me back to Scott's 3rd life and I realized how perfectly Scott would fit this "plunged into the deep end/fish out of water" story. I also REALLY wanted Grian as the bbeg so I chose Last Life to base the narrative on.
Sea of Sectrets was literally based off a like... 2 sentence thing if tags I put on a post that said something about "Shelby" sounding like the word "selkie". Then I was like "oh! Maybe that's why she's bad at magic! Maybe she doesn't have her coat, or witches can't teach her type of magic well". And then I binge read like three different Nature Wives fics, and then actually a tma fic focused around selkies. I also really liked "Song of the Sea" as a kid, so I guess it's just natural.
And this fic is yet to be released, but I'm working on a extension of "Fighting Crimes by Comminting Crimes" around Empires. I wanted to challenge myself by writing with such a small cast (using only the emporers that weren't in Last Life), that way I couldn't completely go off the rails on side plots and all these different characters doing their own thing, so it's all centered. No spoilers, but it's mainly inspired by Xornoth's interactions with the WRA (minus Pearl, sadly :().
14: is there any reoccurring plotline or story beat that shows up in you're work
I'm very fond of like, "family being torn apart because all of them are lying at once to keep their secrets". Like in my superpower aus there's always the secret identities. And while not REALLY family, Sea of Secrets is full of this as Shelby is anxious and has little to no common sense or judgement of character. This also shows up briefly in the end of "Living On" when Xornoth runs away.
Also big fan of really competent, scary, and smart villains. "Tommy Innit's Identity Crisis" is full of these guys, as is "Scott Smajor on: Surviving" with Grian. This will also be fulfilled in the Empires superhero story with Xornoth, as was "Pathetic Sorry Last Hope". Put my characters in situations <3.
In a juxtaposition to that, reluctant villains <3. Tommy played this roll as Nightmare, as did Gem in both "Their Dragon" and the Xornoth wins au (Gem is my favoriteand she WILL be put in situations). I especially loved doing this with Jimmy in SSoS, where he's not really trapped by a conniving villain, but sort of just there by circumstance and pressure from his family. This is also KIND OF found in "Just a Normal Day", where as the story progresses Pearl is less and less sure of the justification for her job.
#both the questions are kind of paraphrased but eh#ask#sea of secrets au#fccc series#scott smajor on: surviving#xornoth wins au#tommyinnit's identity crisis#living on au

So I was reading some reincarnated villainess stories and got an idea for a fic. It's like Empires s1 but set in an academy. The life series members are also there. And the Hermits.
I'm calling this the reincarnated villain au.
The life series winners (Grian, Scott, Pearl, Martyn, Scar) are part of the student council with Grian as the Student Council President.
Grian is only the Student Council President on account of being the one to think of a way to elect council members without it being a popularity contest (the life series)(idk how it works yet, plz give ideas). He has as much power as the Headmaster.
Grian hates his job and leaves everything for the other members to do. The only thing he actually does is sign whatever papers they tell him to because they need his authority as President to do anything. This leads to... shenanigans that Watcher 1 and 2, the Headmaster and Vice, have to fix.
Cleo is not an official member of the student council, but hangs out with Scott and Pearl in the student council room so much that she's become an honorary member. Everyone is a lot more scared of her than the actual student council members.
Joel and Lizzie are betrothed. Despite this, Joel ends up getting a harem. Jimmy is part of this. Somehow.
Xornoth isn't a demon, they're just Scott's overprotective twin but kind of like Loki (marvel).
Xornoth wants Jimmy and Tango dead. Why? Because Jimmy and Scott were betrothed since birth, but Jimmy is in love with Tango and accidentally humiliates Scott by calling off the engagement in front of all the students and their parents at a House Blossom Ball.
Now that Scott is no longer betrothed, other people are trying to win his hand in marriage.
Meanwhile, Jimmy is trying to make amends (while Xornoth chases him around with a sword) because he never meant any harm but his stunt almost caused a war between the Ocean Empire and Rivendell.
This entire thing is an excuse for Scott rarepairs.

just when i was getting to know you
TRUST AU
yeah yeah i'm posting a lot of trust au. i have a backlog ok
~
Joel wouldn’t say he was the closest person to Scott. Sure, they know each other. They’re friends. They've been in House Blossom councils together for the past ten years, and Scott's been joining in on family night, and the elf's engaged to his brother-in-law and best friend, so they have to at least be acquaintances. They happen to be friends.
Friends or no, they certainly aren’t best pals.
To suddenly be possibly the closest person to Scott at the time of his death is more than a little pressure.
Well, Katherine's there, too, but she seems even more shellshocked than Joel.
It's—well, the whole thing is . . . incredibly violent. Xornoth throws Scott around with tentacles, kicks him into the ground, breaks his wing. . . .
Katherine covers her eyes. Joel watches, flinching at every knock of Scott's head against the stony ground.
When Xornoth drags Scott up for the final time, Joel gets one last look at him—dusty, hair tangled, scraped and bleeding and eyes barely open, limbs dangling helplessly—and then he's thrown off the edge of the cliff.
Joel doesn't run with everyone else to peer over the side.
Joel flicks open his elytra and takes off into the sky, heading the opposite direction.
Xornoth watches him.
Joel doesn't know why, but Xornoth lets him go.
And that's terrifying, just a little bit.
Xornoth doesn't think the massive armies of Mezelea are enough of a threat to kill him here and now, like he did Scott.
Scott's dead.
Goodness, Scott's dead.
Rivendell has always been a force to be reckoned with. Ancient and up in those frozen mountains, Joel hadn't even considered that such a country could fall so early in a war that hadn't yet reached its borders.
The Codlands had fallen in one bloody day.
Now, in a reflection of its deceased lover, Rivendell has too.
Joel soars across the ocean, wondering just how long it will be until Rivendell is forced into servitude. Mere days, like the Codlands? Or maybe more gradually, a months-long process designed to make the elves feel in-control of their descent.
How many are left to fight the evil? Him, Lizzie. Shubble's certainly been conquered as well, seeing as Grimlands army would have marched through the Undergrowth to reach Rivendell. Katherine has thus far declared neutrality, as has Pearl. Pix hasn't been heard from since the war began. And Gem—
Gem's down, too. Possibly dead. And her students aren't really built for war, try as they might.
So it's just him and Lizzie.
Goodness. And they're supposed to win this fight, let alone survive?
It isn't exactly black and white, of course. There are likely fugitives leaving Rivendell and the Overgrown as he flies, and he has a small army of Rivendell soldiers in his forces that Scott sent over several weeks ago, and he and Lizzie have already been strengthened the slightest bit by dissenters from the enemy armies. They aren't as alone in this as he feels.
Still. The loss of Rivendell is a terrifying, war-changing blow. Rivendell gone, Scott dead—
Joel feels like nobody ought to be able to blame him for feeling a bit hopeless.
He needs to get back to Mezelea, reorganize his armies, inform his support from Rivendell that they cannot return home, contact Shubble and see what they can do to help. He needs to do all sorts of kingly matters that really shouldn’t wait.
But he stops at the palace rising out of the depths of the ocean, landing on one of the towers and hitting the ground running, elytra flapping in the wind behind him.
He sprints through the doors, down the hall, takes a left, Lizzie's probably in some sort of important meeting so he takes another left toward her war room—
There's a soldier standing guard outside of the room, and when Joel approaches, he shuffles to block his entrance.
"Her majesty is not to be disturbed," the guard says, blocking Joel from entering. "She is in a meeting with—"
"I'm her husband and I do what I want," Joel tells him, before shoving him aside and going in.
Lizzie is standing at the opposite end of a somewhat large, square table, pointing at a map, a gnome amongst three other advisors (one the Rivendell ambassador, another clearly fae) gathered with her. When Joel enters, they all look up.
Lizzie isn't wearing grey.
Her dress is purple, the sleeves billowy and light. Her hair is down, neatly brushed and falling into her face, her crown set upon it.
Her mourning period has ended.
"Joel?" she says, brow furrowed. "I asked to not be interrupted."
Joel strides across the room, stopping at the other end of the table. "Right, right, but—"
"These plans are only to be known between those of us present, it's frankly a war crime for you—"
"Scott is dead," he says loudly, and Lizzie freezes.
"I—what?"
"Scott is dead, and Rivendell surrendered," he says, and the elf in the room (Elif, if he remembers correctly) actually staggers back.
"The king?" Elif demands, his hands shaking. "King Scott? You—you jest!"
Joel shakes his head. "I saw it," he manages, the shock of it all really hitting him. "He's dead."
"What happened?" Lizzie asks, rushing around the table.
Joel shrugs helplessly. "He just—the demon killed him. Scott—he tried to do something, something with magic or whatever, but it didn't work, and the demon just. . . ."
He doesn't want to tell them everything he saw. He doesn't want to tell them of how Scott's body lay crumpled on the ground, his mourning clothes torn and bloody, while Xornoth towered over him, declaring victory.
He doesn't want to tell them that at no point in the battle did Scott have the upper hand.
That it was hopeless from the start.
That he didn't even try to help.
"He's dead," he whispers.
Lizzie's eyes are wide, horrified. She almost seems to search his face for any sign of a lie.
"No," she breathes.
Joel only nods once.
Tonight, he'll tell her what happened.
Tonight, as they get ready for bed, he'll recount in a whisper the demon appearing, the way ice had seemed to burst out of Scott in jerky and uncontrollable ways, the way Xornoth had broken free nonetheless and beaten Scott to the ground and cast him to his death.
He'll hold Lizzie close to his chest as she cries, and a year ago she wouldn't have cared if Scott lived or died but now it's almost like he was the last living piece of Jimmy other than Lizzie herself and with him gone, everything is lost.
He'll lay awake in bed, wondering what on earth will happen now that Rivendell has fallen—will the elves be hounded out of their lands, forced to find homes elsewhere? Will they be forced into servitude? Will Katherine declare loyalty to a side?
Will there be a funeral for Scott?
But right now, as Lizzie turns away, as Elif collapses into a chair, as the gnome mournfully asks Joel what has become of the Overgrown, Joel can't say anything.
He can only stare at the table (with maps and figurines and inkpots) and think of all he must do.
-
"I'm going to mourn," Joel tells Lizzie the next morning.
It's a senseless decision. He should be in gazillions of meetings, preparing his country for refugees and attacks, deciding how to divide his forces, proportioning what to give to those in need. He doesn't have time, in the wake of everything, to spend three days secluded in his quarters.
"You shouldn't do that," Lizzie advises, pinning her hair behind her ear. "You have too much to do."
Joel shrugs. "I'm gonna do it anyway."
"Why?"
"Just feel like I should."
Lizzie sighs. "Joel, you really can't. I need your help with this, your country needs you, you can't just—"
"It's only—"
"—other mourning periods, it would be fine, but Mezelean—"
"—without me for three days—"
"—total isolation, you have—"
"Who else is gonna do it, huh?"
Lizzie falls silent, arms folded. She raises an eyebrow, and Joel struggles to come up with the words.
"Who else is gonna mourn him?"
"His people," Lizzie is quick to answer.
Joel scoffs. "They've just been conquered by the archenemy of their dead ruler—you think the demon will let them?"
"Katherine."
"Katherine doesn't mourn, it isn't a part of her culture."
"Gem."
Joel remembers Gem, lying on the ground, hair entirely white, and shudders. "I don't think she can. She was . . . injured, yesterday."
"We're all mourning him," Lizzie waves him off. "We may not be wearing black, but we all miss him. We're all thinking about him. It's basically the same thing, just without any outward sign."
Yes, but that's part of mourning, isn't it? Scott, at some point last week (it's just like Jimmy, Scott was fine last week and now he's gone forever), had mentioned that his clothing is designed to be as similar as possible to his betrothal clothing, to remind him at every moment of his loss.
The outward signs aren't for others, aren't proof of how sad you are. They're a tool in grieving, in memory.
"You weren't even that close," adds Lizzie. "Would it even be proper to take the mourning period?"
Propriety doesn't matter. Not anymore.
"I know that we've got different beliefs on what happens with death and all that," Joel says awkwardly, trying to figure out how to word this. "But for us, we believe that . . . that there's this, like, waiting period to get into the afterlife. So the three days—it’s like you're waiting with them."
Lizzie nods. They've talked about this before.
Joel looks down at his boots, suddenly unwilling to meet his wife's eyes. "Nobody else will be mourning," he says quietly. "I don't want him to wait alone."
He and Scott weren't that close, it's true. But Scott had intended to marry Joel's best friend and brother-in-law, and that basically makes him family.
Lizzie doesn't argue any more. She only nods, then takes the pin out of her hair and ties it up into a tight bun.
And Joel goes back to Mezelea, and shuts himself in his quarters for three days, despite the contrary advice from his chamberlain.
When he comes out of the mourning period, he's resolved to save everyone he can.
-
And then Scott isn't even dead so it doesn't matter anyway.
But when Joel sees him—because the demon had blasted him to the side, and he'd heard a lot of shouting and chaos while blacked out and trying to regain his bearings on the floor, so it isn't until he stumbles out of the building that he sees him—, his heart actually leaps with joy.
He's alive.
Scott is alive, and he's right there, his back turned away and Joel has never seen him in homespun, brown peasant-like clothes before but it's definitely him, from the shock of blue hair on his head to the familiar satchel hanging from his shoulder.
When Scott turns around, Joel can't help the smile that breaks across his face.
He rallies the troops, claps Scott on the back (he wants to hug him, he wants to pull him in tight and never let go which is weird but whatever), and does his best to act normal.
"I don't know how you're alive," he says, breathless with—with wonder, or something. And maybe Scott isn't really alive, maybe this is some ghost version of him sent back to help them win this (but he feels awfully solid beneath Joel's hand). "But it's good to have you, for however long it'll be."
Scott only stares at him for a moment before asking (that's definitely his voice, his thick elvish accent, his funny-sounding Es and As, so inimitably Scott), "Why does everyone have weapons?"
And Joel just wants to laugh and laugh.
And later, when Scott's asleep in Rivendell's infirmary and Lizzie's some giant axolotl monster thing and Jimmy's also, somehow, alive (Jimmy’s alive Jimmy’s alive Jimmy’s alive), Joel laughs.
He sits on the front steps of the palace, exhausted and bloodstained and with aching arms from carrying bodies, and he laughs.
As his laughter dwindles into chuckles, he looks around at the reclaimed capital of Rivendell, the moon and stars illuminating torn palace grounds and those collecting the dead, and he sighs.
"I'm gonna claim this as my own country," he jokes to himself. "Who's gonna stop me? Rivendell's mine now."
"Good lord, your majesty, please do not," comes a tired voice behind him. Joel glances back to see Ilphas stepping out of the palace, easing the door shut behind themself. "I don't believe I would be able to restrain myself from attempting regicide a second time."
Joel snorts. "Right, wouldn't want to inconvenience you. A different day, maybe." Then, after Ilphas doesn't respond, he adds, "How is he?"
Ilphas offers a small, strained smile. "The king has not yet woken," they say, "though his majesty Pix believes it will not be much longer."
Joel had carried Scott to the infirmary after he had collapsed, the no-longer glowing sword under him. He'd hurried forward, while armies on both sides had remained frozen, and he'd dragged Scott out of the center of everything, laying him beside Jimmy's (Jimmy?) body, because Joel hadn't even known Jimmy was also here and now he was dead again?
None of it made any sort of sense, but as the soldiers of various armies tried to sort out whether or not they should continue fighting, Pix had pushed through the crowd and hefted Jimmy's limp body over his shoulder, before leaving without explanation.
Joel had stared after him for a long moment, wondering if maybe he had hallucinated the whole thing.
Then, gathering strength beyond his normal, he had heaved Scott up and carried him to the palace, where he had been met by several elves who quickly took over.
He'd really just hoped that Scott wasn't dead. Then he'd pushed it out of his mind and set to resolving this war.
Now, here he is. Jimmy is, somehow, alive, sleeping off a life-ending wound.
And Scott is also alive, asleep in the Rivendell infirmary.
Joel kind of feels like he missed a chapter somewhere, because nobody has explained to him how they're both here in the first place (and some part of him still believes that they are spirits, brought back by some ritual to help them defeat the demon), but they're here and they're alive and that's what matters.
And Ilphas, judging by the way they finally seem to be relaxed enough to let their shoulders drop, feels the same.
"It's good to have him back," Joel comments idly, and after a moment, Ilphas nods their agreement.
"It is," they say softly.
Joel's still exhausted. He's still confused. He's got no idea what's going to happen next.
But Scott is back, and Jimmy is back, and the war is over.
So he gets up, and claps Ilphas on the shoulder (the elf starts in surprise), then returns to the fields.
He has to help Rivendell rebuild if he's going to conquer it, after all.

So, I have a whole ass explanation for EVERYTHING. (My AU)
so, way back before the first season of Hermitcraft even existed, hell, a HUNDRED years before that~
It was modern days as you and me knew it (excluding the fact that there were like... Elves and vampires and shit like that.)
But... The Watchers saw how no one believed in them, so they granted Grian powers and made him one of them, the porpoise being that he would start a Watchers cult... He was the chosen one lol.
So Grian did just that (It also explains how, in my universe, Jimmy and Gria n are siblings but Jimmy ain't a god.) Then very few people caught on, those being all the Hermitcraft and Empires members as you know them.
The plan being is that everyone in that cult was given immortality whilst non-believers died in the apocalypse. So that's exactly what happened. And in their immortality, they lost the ability to have children, that's why it's only them even now.
It took a very long time to rebuild society, but they eventually settled. Way over on one side was Hermit Town, while all the way on the other side was all the Empires... And I'm the middle, was the Life Trails.
The life Trials are literally just the Life series. The Watchers saw how some of the people were lagging behind, so they created Third Life. In that they would place them there to complete their trial - to win.
The Watchers temporarily erased their memories, but they had all their muscle memory and survival skills... They just didn't remember. (Grian is one of the people, he only has powers... If you're lost.)
That's how double life worked, because the soulbinding was true! (Dw, I'll prove Scarian wrong in a moment.) Example, Tango x Jimmy.... Uhh... Yeah it only really worked on them hehe.
The Watchers didn't use their true soul mates for the trials, they used who they needed. So instead of relationship building, it was learning to deal with others shit (Scarian) or... Learning how to cope with difficult situations (divorce quartet)
And they they gave the memories back once the trials were done, (including life series memories) so they would learn from those situations.
So with Empires and Hermit Town being in the same universe, The Rift is really just teleportation rather than universe hopping.
Also I think Xornoth (however you spell it) could be a banned Watcher/Fallen Angel whatever... Also evil x could be xisuma possessed by xornoth... idk. Just brainstorming in this bit.
Why did some members die if they were immortal you ask? Well, they choose when to move on... To Lavender.
(Lavender was a bs name I made for watchers heaven on the spot...)
Autism diagnosis dropping when?

THIS SEEMS SO COOL! made up fic titles time!!
-petals fall like rain
-i love you, i shouldn’t
-blade glistens in the moonlight
-curses
-forget about me
-you saw him/her/them in me, right?
-cherry pink and blood red
made up fic titles lets go!
petals fall like rain - Empires Season 1 Katherine, her journey to becoming Guardian of the Spring and Queen of the Overgrown.
i love you, i shouldn't - Dark Messed Up Empires Season 1 featuring Wither Rose Alliance Core Four in a setting that is either Xornoth wins or one where Xornoth started out as one of the emperors and everything is going very badly in very horrible ways. Either way Sausage is in the thick of it and the rest of them are in varying levels of "with the resistance" or "prisoners of war".
blade glistens in the moonlight - Third Life, The Red Army follows through on what Jimmy was convinced they would do and Scott gets sacrificed on the Black Heart Altar. Canon-divergence obviously XD
curses - a series of oneshots of the different life series curses, their beginnings, their breakings, and their continuations.
forget about me - oh this one fits for one i have planned for Marriage of State AU! Kind of Marriage of State AU. It's one of the moments of divergence between MoS and more canon-based Empires. Specifically, in this case, the moment Xornoth and Exor were banished to Shrub's home and the reason that Scott doesn't remember having a brother. I will be writing and posting this fic, whether under this title or something else XD at some point as part of the MOS series, even if it is more of a "what would have been outside this AU" concept.
you saw her in me, right? - I will never not have feelings about Sausage and Pearl and the multiverse, okay.
cherry pink and blood red - Secret Life just after the boogeyman apocalypse, featuring Gem & The Scotts and specifically featuring the Smajor Edition of Scott doing what he does when he feels off balance or threatened and making himself Useful TM.
Thank you for the asks!
#ask and it shall be answered#valeriistars#made up fic titles#empires smp#life series#marriage of state au#mos: asks#rain rambles

Guess who's back? Back again? Anons back! Tell a friend.
Lol sorry I'm once again back. The same anon who sent a bunch of questions about night life a while ago since I was rereading songbirds blood au. Soo uhm here's more
1. Mochi why does scar say in villainous thing that he has put his head in a werewolfs mouth??!?!?!?!?!? Scar mah dude u ok???? (Lowkey would wanna try it but I probably would leave the werewolfs mouth with a head 😊)
2. Grian.Trans.Canon? (Or scar? Or maybe both???)
3. With the glyphs is there only one way to use them or could you possible make them a tattoo and still you them. Since they are then constantly touching the glyphs they could possible do the magic of a mage. If they had multiple glyphs he could mix the glyphs somehow.(like how Luz mixes the glyphs by drawing them with eachother but instead they do it with their ✨️MIND✨️)
4. Also I love the idea of papapulse. Like I imagine Pearl or grian (most likely grian:^P) and Impulse going full demon mode tl protect them. (I saw that you tagged "Parent impulseSV (Video Blogging RPF)" in troubke in the dead of night🥺👏😍) Also is there different types of demons and what type of powers do they have?
5. In the fic "sitting in the garden at your feet" they have a whole picnic and all the adorableness. Do they go on more picnics frequently? (I really hope soo) I would guess they do since in villainous things they were also on their way to a picnic...but then yeah...poor birb tbh and poor scar
6. Have Ren and Martyn already have their wedding or are they still waiting? I wanna see treebark and I want to see mumbo ask grian go with him as his plus one to the wedding<3
(Though treebark owns my heart, Grumbo will always win) Don't talk about scarian I've never left the desert and don't plan to either😘
7. Okay soo in the fic "weight of living" there was this one scene where etho stared at grian. Here's the quote: "Etho eyes him for a moment, his gaze unreadable as he does so. It leaves Grian with chills. Weird."
Is it possible that etho is a Watcher? I'm mean he is definitely not human(or maybe he is an immortal human?) Etho may recognize grian, either as an old Watcher or a new Watcher to be made. Or maybe etho just thinks it is weird to see scar with grian(A HUMAN) The last one is more logical <:^)
8. On that note with Etho. You never confirm nor deny if grian is the "lost watcher" but what if I were to ask you if EFFO is the lost Watcher. I don't have proof but-...yeah idk
Wait wait just had another thought what if Pearl is the Watcher???? When the dream bugs ate her dreams there was a purple mist! Huh huh gotcha!/silly this is purely a joke🤣
9. Will we see a bad boy grian phase or possibly a drag queen phase🥺👉👈. Since it often mention that grian was a dare devil(still is:^P) or did grian have such phases. One of my friends is kinda a dare devil and he did drag once and I feel since grian might be the same there...
10. What did Scott do with the shard? Did he just entirely get rid of it? Also is Scott pure evil or broken. Maybe with the lost of his brother(Xornoth) did he turn evil or was evil just in his genes?
Those are all the questions and theories for now thank you for listing to my literal brain rot<3
This time it was numbered
(There will possible be more to come>:^] )
YIPPEE WELCOME BACK NONNIE :D
see me rubbing my paws together with a big grin >:3c no apologies needed !!!! I love questions hehe. as always, I can't answer everything clearly, because of spoilers but I'll certainly answer as much as I can!
1- WHEEZE scar just feels like the kinda guy to me to stick his head into the mouth of a werewolf for fun, y'know? he'd try it once just to see what would happen (and I mean, he's got no reason to fear dying, all things considered LOL)
2- GRIAN TRANS CANON !! honestly, just operate under the assumption that any grian I write is trans JFGDHFKKJDFG it's my comfort character and I get to project on him /silly (no trans scar though </3)
3- WAUG OKAY -- I've answered this kind of question before but for the life of me I can't find it D: I'm gonna keep searching for it, and when I find it I'll reblog this with that information mjfdhkfghfjg I don't wanna contradict myself LMAO
4- PAPAPULSE MY BELOVED 🥺I really wanna write more with him ueueue. I actually haven't done much world building for sb!demons but I'm going to say that yes, there are different types of demons! and they all have a wide range of different abilities :3
5- they def go on picnics yeah!!! I think it becomes one of grian's default methods to drag mumbo out of the manor when he can <33
6- ren and martyn haven't had their wedding yet :3 I actually hadn't thought about when their wedding would take place but ;w; oh that gives me some ideas....
7- etho isn't a watcher! the current lore is well. no one really knows what etho is. except maybe bdubs and joel. but their lips are Sealed (he's not the lost watcher either I'm afraid </3)
9- so currently I don't have any plans for a bad boy or drag queen phase to pop up in the story (though that could change, if any ideas come up) but they were certainly things he did when he was wayyy younger
10- what scott did with the shard hm? he broke it :) and I'm afraid evil is just in his genes unfortunately </3
hehe thank you for your questions!! :D

WRA Villains AU MASTERPOST

I have a Trolls and mcyt (empires season 1 and the life series (traffic light series my beloved) specifically) AU idea
Now called Water Under the Tree AU
Background information for the AU
Once season 1 of empires smp finished the watchers descended and turned 8 (+Xornoth so 9) of the rulers into deities with the remaining 3 passing on.
These deities after years form their own planets (eg, mcc is its own planet under Scott's rule), and these planets serve as forms of entertainment for the watchers.
The attack
After millennia of this, the watchers grow to want to control the show so they corrupt the once emporers and empresses so they can control what they produce for entertainment.
Pearl and Scott use their knowledge from their respective life series (last life and double life) with them helping their nearest companions.
This leads to Lizzie and Pearl using the double life string to connect to one another giving them a form of immunity through the ocean orb and remaining powers given by winning double life. This also combines their own domains into a new allied domain.
The watchers don't like this and attack. This attack leaves only one of Lizzie's original planets remaining. The watchers attack once again and Lizzie descends into the planet to defend it.
She uses the powers the watchers gave her and the ocean orb to seal the watchers from the world. Then, she uses the ocean orbs' powers to cleanse the world. The watchers, however, use their remaining power to strike the weakened Lizzie and turn her "into one of the creatures she chose to defy us to defend"
This results in Lizzie's form shrinking but also dissolving into water. This water rises and compacts to form an egg.
Not wanting to loose her friend Pearl uses her connection to Lizzie (via the double life string) to manipulate the plant life around her fallen friend and grow a defence. Leaving some sections of the trunk hollow so water will fall down and be around Lizzie.
The creatures of the planet Lizzie defended create tales and murals of this benevolent being.
Slowly, these are abandoned due to migration, these species dying out, etc. Only the story remains as some old fairytale, and every species has a different version.
Closer to present but still the past
The defences that Pearl made turn into a large tree which a category of trolls move into (its the pop tree!).
Once the Bergens capture the pop trolls in the pop tree the pop trolls explore the tree a bit more to look for any escape.
This leads a small team of trolls to the roots where they discover a troll egg surrounded by pink flowers and some puddles of rain water.
This leads (eventually) to Rosiepuff's family adopting the egg.
However the egg hatches after 2 generations (Rosiepuff and her children) have grown up and had their own.
(Some of the trolls theorised this was because it was left alone for however long it was down there)
The trolling that hatches is named "Branch".
Branch has both indigo-blue and pink hair, but due to the image of Brozone, he hides the pink in his hair.
After the past in trolls band together
As Branch grown up without his brothers after the argument he begins to see an "imaginary friend" who wears a dress made of leaves.
This friend disappears a day before the trollstice that takes Grandma Rosiepuff.
The culmination of losing his adoptive family, his caretaker, and his friend in the leaf dress causes Branch to go grey.
Trolls (first movie) changes
•Branch still has some vague colours but hides them from the other trolls
•Branch has found some (2) old murals and has begun to translate the old languages used to write them
•During that party, Branch is instead in the water of a river he found before moving into his bunker to dry off, then Poppy finds him
•When Creek is revealed to be the traitor Branch sees a vague figure with large eyes, a big smile and is red
Why is he so R̸̺̝̃̈́͛̎ȇ̶̩̒ ̴̖̞̌̾̾͝d̴͈͐̔
•Once regaining his true colours, there is some visible pink in his hair
Trolls World Tour Changes
•Branch has found a few small scales around his wrists, ears, and along his spine (fur hides these small scales) along with some minimal webbing around his ears and between his fingers and toes
•The pop trolls have noticed that Branch has changed slightly, and they have spoken to him about it. They just think Branch is growing used to being around other trolls after being isolated for so long
•During the dance off, Branch thinks back to brozone but also making that deal with Scott all those millenia ago
"I've made a deal with destiny"
•Throughout the movie, Branch has some vivid dreams, and he figures out some history and how this history ties in with the murals he has translated (he finds more as he travels to the different tribes)
•Slightly different design for rock zombie Branch (looks a bit more like Poppy and has more coverage with his outfit)
•After the movie Branch gets a tattoo from the rock trolls of a simplified ocean orb
•After the movie he also discovers he can breathe underwater when he goes to visit the Techno tribe to help with reconstruction
Everyone is confused, and now there is a theory that he is some kind of troll that has some techno origins
Trolls Band Together Changes
•Between movies Branch has had more vivid dreams and has translated more murals of the pink haired giant
•Is also wearing a dress to the wedding
This dress is a simpler version of the dress that he remembers wearing as "Lizzie" to "his (her) wedding"
•Goes back to the pop trolls tree before joining John Dory on the journey
Finds a smaller ocean orb and brings it with them
•Poppy tells couple of stories about their adventures to John Dory
Insert shocked and worried John Dory
•Branch accepts Bruce's name change and later tells Poppy about thinking of changing his name to something else
Poppy then prompts Branch to tell her hid new name, slight argument ensues when Branch doesn't tell Poppy
•Slight dialogue change when speaking to the clown, but this doesn't change the encounter too much
•When leaving the putt-putt village Branch falls and rips his dress (yes, he has been wearing a dress throughout this section)
Branch uses his hair and now is wearing a slightly modified dress with leggings underneath (the dress is shorter with the front section being removed)
•Once the argument happens and Branch leaves, it begins to storm (pathetic fallacy)
This moves Branches fur revealing the scales which are now bigger.
Poppy finds this out and just assumes it as another aspect of being a troll that possibly has some techno origins
•When rescuing Floyd, more of Branch's hair turns pink, leaving it as a majority pink with indigo-blue accents
•No Broppy kiss
•After the movie, this is questioned, but nobody can come up with a satisfying conclusive answer as to why it's going on.
•After the movie, Branch tells Poppy about wanting to go by "Lizzie" and Poppy asks why
Insert some plausible reason that makes sense without telling Poppy about the vivid dreams
Post Trolls Band Together
•Multi-tribe city has been established
•Nobody knows exactly what Lizzie is
•Bruce still lives with his wife Brandi, John Dory still travels, Clay has worked to create transportation between the putt-putt village and also does admin work, Floyd is currently living in the multi-tribe city and is learning about different genre's
•Lizzie has discovered that by using the ocean orb, he can grow and shrink back down
Poppy was with him during this and freaked out (positively not negatively) when this happened
•Now Lizzie is trying to figure out what she is and how the murals fit in with this
Also, the "imaginary friend" in the leaf dress returns, causing lots of old emotions to resurface, and Poppy and Lizzie learn about what Lizzie is.
The vivid dreams are revealed, and another argument ensues between Poppy and Lizzie about keeping secrets.
•Pearl warns them of the Watchers returning before dissappearing back into the forest
Lo and behold the watchers come back, and Lizzie using the ocean orb, and her hair is able to fight them off and protect her friends from the watchers
The watchers weaken Lizzie enough to take her, but Lizzie weakens them enough, so hey can't leave this world
•Adventure ensues, with Poppy leading it, trying to find Lizzie

Yesss exactly (Also Xornoth was like Tango mentor figure back in the bondmate dimension and was the prime reason he wanted to get bonded. Xornoth was a hopeless romantic and filled a fire/ice youngling with images of romance and adventure. All rose tinted glasses version of bonds. Which he quickly got a dose of reality primarily Bdubs wasn’t ready for that sort of commitment and emotional bondmate. Tango and Bdubs was just a bad case of mixing oil and water. But he still had hopeless ideas of ideal bond relationships he held onto until he found Jimmy.)
LOOOK This whole au is everyone thinking that Jimmy is always in danger because he is with such a dangerous chimera as his bondmate. Some would think that the chimera would hurt his partner if disobeyed or what not. While literally Tango is so gentle and sweet. Tango will cook and clean and cuddle Jimmy. Tango is a sweet little misunderstood Uber powerful other dimensional fella. Others think he hungers for blood? Nah he hungers for Jimmy bondmate friendly recipes.
OKOKOKOK but scar does run and eventually wins and becomes the first ever bondmate to become a mayor of the hometown Grian and Jimmy grew up in. He pushes loads of laws to mend the bias against no bond folk and in general protect the emotional well being of bond mates and Battlers. Grian gets affected by a fungal bondmate during this causing Scar and the ranchers to beat him up to wake his butt up. (Grian has a bad trend of getting tranced by bondmates or beings: Etc Watchers, Mother Spore, Eventually Skulk.)
Asking here because as much I love our threads we gotta space it out lmfao. (Primarily it’s getting my phone to lag lmfaooo rip me)
And yes. There has been a time Grian got fined or went to juvie because Scar (who grew up with baby kid Jimmy because Grian big bro instincts bonded him to Jimmy when Grian got them lost in the woods). Because Scar literally probs hit the human bullies and why Grian is so worried about tango when Jimmy when he gets bonded. Because Grian was the troublemaker soul battler of the town as a kid. He and scar have a list of crimes and misdemeanors.
And yea I like that idea of him being nonchalant but I also like post development of a becoming a skilled battler he rolls up his sleeves to show his scars.
There are numerous like Pokecenters esque things to heal bondmates and battlers. Tango hates them so it’s good that before Jimmy was a medical intern at one of them when he realized that he wouldn’t cut as a battler. So Jimmy has to heal Tango after battles etc and is actually pretty good at it. (I do imagine that Bondmates can heal quicker if the bond is good but Bond centers exist if the bondmate have serious injury or they faint. And Jimmy is pretty good medically.
Tango probs don’t like Bond centers because he is afraid of needles when it’s someone he doesn’t know. I also imagined that Bondmates like to be pampered by their battlers especially if their battler is on the affectionate side so there’s stores that sell specialized combs and brushes for brushing the bondmate hair. For example Jimmy literally uses all his saved money to get a comb that can handle cold and heat in order to comb Tango mane of hair.
completely fair lol, my phone was starting to dislike me a tad too-
grian and scars’ list of crimes is quite long, long enough they have “avoiding arrest” on it lollll
also YES LOVE THAT, CONFIDENCE GAINED
he will just completely pamper tango to the best of his ability. he’s very apologetic like “sorry ik it’s not as good as if we went to a Bondcenter” and tango is honestly kind of surprised the needle didn’t freak him out so he’s just like “nope! you’ve perfecticated the art, don’t you apologize!”
just,,, late night hair brushing and chats,,, just chilling in their pajamas,,,,

I thought of some more stuff for Reincarnated Villain AU
The fic is a first-person choose-your-own-ending-type series.
After the Un-Engagement, Scott ends up crying himself to sleep. While dreaming, he remembers a past life as a flower shop owner.
His past self was basically WitchcraftSMP Scott. But instead of Milo, Scott is the one who drowns. Empires SMP was an otome game he liked a lot.
After waking up a week later, Scott is faced with the dilemma of whether or not he should tell Xornoth about it. (The first choice the readers must make!)
While Scott was Remembering, some members of his fanclub decide to join Xornoth in "defending Scott from Jimmy". They end up having a war with Jimmy's fanclub in the form of a food fight at lunchtime (imagine the RWBY foodfight). Jimmy tries to get them to stop, but gets pied in the face by Xornoth.
Who wins? No one! Grian actually does his job for once and orders them to stop because they're wasting food. He also makes them fix up the cafeteria and clean the whole academy for a week (the janitors enjoyed their paid break very much).
This just leads the opposing sides to challenge each other to as many duels as possible, because challenging each other to duels to settle conflicts is actually allowed.
Pearl originally wrote up this rule just so she can have friendly fights with Xornoth and Scott without consequences and Grian signed it. She had to change it a lot because the fanclubs’ duels would last a really long time, interrupt classes, and end with both sides in the infirmary.

Soo uhh, Xornoth wins AU! No idea how long this will be but based off this song (Youth by Daughter)
(Also handily skipping over how Xornoth wins because I don't want to have to come up with that lol)
The corruption's spread across all the lands, infecting every empire down to their cores. Winter is nothing more than a faint memory as a pressing heat settles into the air, making every citizen snappish and irritable.
Mythland and the Lost Empire are suffering the least, a reward for their loyalty as Xornoth's servants. Rivendell is near entirely destroyed, as is the Crystal Cliffs. The Ocean Empire has retreated back under the waves, untouchable, but unable to help. Lizzie took Joel with her and tried to take Jimmy too, but he refused.
There are no rulers anymore, not really. Sausage and Joey are allowed to keep their titles but it doesn't mean anything when everywhere really belongs to Xornoth.
Most of the rulers are forced into servitude under them, not being corrupted so the demon can see their despair and laugh.
The once who aren't wish they were, considering it a mercy.
Scott and Gem are kept in cells, beaten and kept subdued. Maybe one day Xornoth will try to corrupt them, but for now they're satisfied with utterly breaking the pair so they can't plot against them.
Pearl is forced into an arena, fight after fight after fight wearing her down. She's given barely any rest, and with each enemy she slaughters, she imagines it has Xornoth's face.
Shubble didn't manage to escape but she told the pack to flee as she fended the demon off. The wolves escaped into the woods, far out of their grasp, but she fell not long after.
Blame is thrown around constantly, at least at first. The citizens of the empires, screaming at their rulers. Those who were once friends screaming at Sausage and Joey as they carried out orders. Scott wasn't there to be screamed at, but many silently blamed him. He didn't have the energy to scream, simply staring at the person who was once his brother.
There's no hope, and, one by one, they all give in to their circumstances.
(But, maybe there is. Maybe one day, months or even years down the line, a clever wizard pretends to give up. Maybe she escapes, using what weak magic she has left to hide herself as she searches for the long forgotten library of Elven tales Scott had told her about. Maybe she finds a certain spell that could change everything. But only maybe.)

Hi hi hi
I'm having -thoughts-
and I really wanna share it-
---
So Katherine Elizabeth, right? Guardian of the Land, Ruler of the Overgrown, Collecter of Heads, right?
Yeah, I corrupted her.
Or, more accurately, the Spring did.
---
Let's say that the Overgrown wasn't always so peaceful. In fact, Katherine's time of ruling is the longest time where no blood has spilt on the land. (All the empires have existed before Seablings was born in this AU)
The Spring admits this to Katherine one day, telling her that one day, she'll be the start and cause of a major war. And how she'll be the leader of it all.
Obviously, she is terrified of this concept, but she can't exactly tell her parents about this, can she? The Spring is a secret to her, something she has to look forward to other than being a ruler, something that she chose. That's why she wants to be a peacekeeper, the middleman, the watcher. She wants to delay the time where she'll eventually start the war.
She...somewhat succeeds.
Then, Xornoth decided to make an appearance.
The Spring informs her that her war may or may not concern the deity that corrupted Xornoth. That night, no one had heard the princess when she screamed curses at every deity that she learned in her training to be a ruler existed like a sailor.
>-_x_-<
The war still awaits Katherine. She did not start the war against Xornoth, Xornoth did.
Every day, she tries her best to keep the peace as long as she could.
>-_x_-<
The Spring shows her where all of their greatest weapon and armoury are hidden. Sure, the weapons and armoury they gave her at the start were amazing, but these? These things make netherite look like gold!
She refuses to use the armoury, saying that even if she won the war, she wants to win it fairly.
Her eyes linger on the sharp battle axe before she left the room.
>_-x-_<
Her parents found out what was going to happen.
She was exiled long before she could start the war.
The Spring was burnt down.
>_-x-_<
The Spring, despite being burnt, stays with Katherine in spirit. They apparently are spirits of former guardians, mainly females. "Well, that explains why the Spring sounds so androgynously female," Katherine thinks. They apologize for their existence and for her future. She says nothing about it.
---
That's all I really have for now, but I'm planning to have ESMP S2 in here as well! I'll let you guess how ;)
This sounds like a lot of (very painful) fun!
I love the hints at Katherine the Monster Slayer...You'll have to let me know once you have more for this!
And I love the idea in particular of the Overgrown as having not been always peaceful. That's how I've been planning it for the AU In Which All the Marriages Are Arranged, with the idea that the Overgrown itself while fairly neutral as an entity (because nature spirit) is under the protection of the Fae. Who are. Not.
I am just really invested in the idea of a Katherine who was not raised for peace and has fought very hard to achieve it, against all traditions and inclinations.

Saw the recent role-reversal fic and absolutely loved it so, if you're willing to explore another what-if scenario: We swap Scott & Xornoth's roles. Scott is the bad-guy that wants Jimmy's powers and Xor is the beloved hero. How would Jimmy's interactions go if that was the case? What would Xor be like if he was the hero and not the villain?
it's an interesting thought! for me, though, i don't see it going very far--scott as a villain would be more ruthless, preferring to take out threats to his power rather than try to take the power itself. xornoth wouldn't be a very kind hero, either, and definitely wouldn't have any reservations on killing people who wronged them. i can imagine that both of them would be hunting jimmy down at once to kill him and end up in a fight with each other lol.
#ask#anonymous#i don't have any ideas for writing something based off this atm#although i see some comedic potential in a life where jimmy not only causes accidents left and right#but every other day some super is crashing through his window to try and kill him#that's just his life tbh#and them LIZZIE turns up and there's three of them#he cannot catch a break#but jimmy would probably die and so would scott and lizzie#stuck-up hero xornoth winning of course#empires superpowers au#esh au

Dammit, Countess Gem is going around my head again:
So, Gem grows up to be the Grimlands' Countess.
She still had an interest on magic while growing up, but, in this AU, her parents managed to make her start thinking of it as an stupid child dream, and keep her on track to become an iron fist ruler, once her time comes.
Once Xornoth arrives, they recognise all the negative emotions bottled up by years and years of abuse by her parents (abusive Tay parents trope for the win), and that's how they corrupt her.
Now, I don't know if she should stay the only one corrupted, or if Fwhip should be corrupted too. I really like @nach0 idea of them getting corrupted because they wanted to protect each other, and I think Gem in any case would have that as a reason, but imagine the angst, of advisor Fwhip slowly realising that his sister has been corrupted and that he needs to stop her somehow.
