🌊 notes from aki : was writing this in a rush so i could post this before the new years. hope you all still enjoy it!! happy new year to everyone!!

Parties were never Chongyun’s thing. Crowded people plus the number of spicy hot chips made his yang energy go absolutely bonkers, he wasn't sure what got him into this situation, shuffling out of people’s way in Xinyan’s house as loud music boomed from the overhead speakers.

He blamed Xingqiu for this. To be frank, when is it not Xingqiu’s idea. The two were like the stereotypical extrovert and introvert duo, where the extrovert practically drags the other out of his warm cocoon in his room to socialize. What’s so fun about socializing anyway. You spend all your energy talking to people who probably won’t remember your name by the end of the night, and you have to figure out ways to keep the conversation going. Chongyun wished talking to people was as easy as talking with Xingqiu.

Xingqiu made talking easy. He doesn’t care if Chongyun stayed quiet, the boy could probably talk someone’s ear off if no one stopped him. There was always something Xingqiu was talking about, whether it be a paper Xingqiu was writing for school, or one of his father’s new trades from the Feiyun Commerce Guild. Chongyun loved the way Xingiu talked, it wasn’t overwhelming or forced, it sometimes feel like Xingqiu was telling a story, even if the story was as boring as trading silk or stock.

“I see you hiding, Yunyun.” Xingqiu came up to Chongyun’s side, handing him a plastic cup with some colorless liquid in it. “It’s not vodka, calm your yang. It’s water, I swear, I even put in some mint in it to help with the overheating.”

Chongyun smiled as he grabbed the cup, carefully tilting it as the liquid touched his lips, the cool sensation confirmed Xingqiu’s words with it actually being water. The water and the mint helped with the heat, and Chongyun no longer feels like he is the sun reincarnated, but the more pressing matter is how close Xingqiu is to him. 

From years of being best friends, being close physically is really no big deal, but to Chongyun it is a bigger deal than it should be. See, Chongyun has had this gigantic crush on his best friend since, well since he could really remember. He thought every best friend felt like that until he was talking to Xiangling, and she jumped up and squealed, shaking Chongyun’s shoulder like he was some sort of pinata. That was when he realized his feelings for Xingqiu most definitely were more than platonic.

Unfortunate for him, Xingqiu has always been popular and the most oblivious person Chongyun has ever known. There will be times Chongyun most definitely flirted with him (he did not, he told a joke and expected Xingqiu to take it as a flirt) but Xingqiu didn’t seem to catch on, and Chongyun is convinced everyone at school is also in love with Xingqiu, cause who wouldn’t be?

“So, spill it.”

“Hm?”

“You got that thinking look again, I’ve known you long enough to know you have a thinking look. Even though you rarely think.” Xingqiu teased, poking Chongyun’s temple. “So spill it, let me in on the tea.”

“There is no tea.”

“Oh bull! You can’t fool me! I’m your best friend! Now spill before I force it out of you.”

“I told you! There is nothing to spill! I am not hiding anything!”

“Your face is red, and its the different red from when you’re overheating and you drank my water so you most definitely are NOT overheating, so must be blushing. Oh my god, is there a new girl? Is it Xiangling? Or Yanfei? I feel like you like those scholar-type people.”

Well, he got one thing right. Chongyun does like scholar-type people.

Chongyun playfully turned his head aside, pouting his lips which elicited a big whine from Xingqiu, who proceeded to tackle him by the waist with tickles, causing Chongyun to double over in laughter, trying to pry Xingqiu’s hands off of his ticklish spots.

“Count down in a minute!”

“A Qiu, stop! It tickles!” Chongyun giggled, both of them now on the floor with Xingqiu straddled on top of him with legs on either side of Chongyun’s hips, his hands frantically working their way on Chongyun’s ticklish waist.

“Tell me what you were thinking! Is it a girl? If it is I can just ask her number for you!”

“It’s not a girl!”

“Is it a boy? Or someone else? I mean I’m not discriminating anyone, you know I’m bi anyway!”

“A Qiu!”

“30 seconds folks!” Xinyan yelled from behind, the group had gathered around the balcony, Yanfei hooked up on FaceTime with Yoimiya who seems to be having a fantastic fireworks show going on back in Inazuma. 

“Just tell me!”

“It’s nothing!”

“If it’s nothing then why are you blushing!”

“Maybe it’s cause you’re so close to me!”

Chongyun was right. The two of them were incredibly close, their faces only inches apart and Chongyun could smell the faint scent of alcohol in Xingqiu’s breath (Chef Mao was there to supervise, so it was alright). Chongyun swore Xingqiu’s eyes had spirals or some sort of hypnosis magic in it, cause he could feel like he was drowning in his amber eyes. 

“10 seconds!’

His navy hair was brushing against Chongyun’s own forehead, it tickled.

“9 seconds!”

One of Xingqiu’s hands were on his waist, the other on the ground supporting his own body above Chongyun’s.

“8 seconds!”

Chongyun could count how many eyelashes Xingqiu has from his angle. He has a lot, but the point was they were very close.

“7 seconds!”

“I-I think you’re overheating Chongyun, do you want uh, a water?” Chongyun nodded but neither of them moved a muscle.

“6!”

“W-we are really close aren’t we.” Chongyun only seem to be able to nod.

“5!”

“Your lips are really dry, you should use chapstick more often.”

“4!”

Chongyun licked his lips, Xingqiu was right, they were very dry.

“3!”

“Can I kiss you?”

“2!”

“What?”

“1!” 

Before Chongyun could process his reply, Xingqiu’s lips were already on his. Neither of them moved, and Chongyun could only suck in a large breath. It’s really happening. His lips were soft, pressing against his own dry ones. Chongyun has dreamt of this exact moment more than he’d like to admit, and he is just surprised it is actually happening right now. Chongyun could smell the faint scent of books on him, probably from his clothes being stored wardrobe with his books. 

There weren’t much movement, it was the awkward teen kiss you could imagine in all those movies and teen fiction. There weren’t sparkles or butterflies, no electricity running through his body liked how Xingqiu told him (Xingqiu was practically a walking audiobook). Just his top lip safely secured between Xingqiu’s. Their noses were touching, and Chongyun was about to go into overheat from the heat radiating off Xingqiu.

They pulled away, panting slightly from the lack of breathing that just happened. 

“Why did you do that?” Chongyun asked, still panting slightly.

“I’ve been wanting to do that. And you were there so I just-”

“I’m glad you did it. I liked it.” Chongyun blushed. “We should do it again sometime.”

“Happy new year Yunyun.”

“Happy new year to you too, A Qiu.”

D: Death Spot | What is their most ticklish spot?

ive always thought about chongyun as a really ticklish person, but what really gets him going is when someone starts squeezing his hips. that’s a surefire way to make him go insane (xingqiu loves exploiting this,, discovery)

on the other hand, being about as ticklish as chongyun, xingqiu’s worst spot is his knees. this is my favorite thing in the world. i imagine only chongyun (and his brother) know because it’s a “unique” or maybe not as accessible spot but its enough to send him into hysterics <3

L: Laughter | What does their laughter sound like when tickled?

GOSHHH maybe i use the word breathy too much but that’s exactly how i imagine chongyun’s. a bit deep, but not too much, breathy and yet squeaky at times to. and, snorting. that too, sometimes, as much as he is embarrassed by it. (spoiler: everyone thinks its cute)

xingqiu’s is kinda.. unexpected, but at the same time, it makes sense. it’s loud, somewhat of a cackle, squeaky and giggly, and still charming. he doesn’t snort quite as much as chongyun, but he still does time to time lol and xingqiu just can’t have a.. controlled laugh, let alone conceal his laugh, no matter how hard he tries.

Thomaluc Headcanons:

They're in a LDR for the most part (long distance relationship) and often right letters to one another. It's not too much of an issue on either of them since their lifestyles call for being out of the house so much.

Because they're in an LDR, they often try to find business trips in each other's nations outside of the vacations they frequently take to see one another!

Diluc likes to press flowers into his letters to Thoma.

Thoma likes to leave cute doodles in his letters to Diluc.

They're not very PDA, but behind the doors they're all over one another!

They're both unsure about marriage and find that the love they have for one another is enough. Marriage is something they're both still trying to figure out.

Xingyun Headcanons:

Because we know they both like mild food, I like to think they share all sorts of things with one another and it's become a love language! Considering the friends and people around them often make food for them separately due to their mild tastebuds, the fact that they can share together makes it all the more special.

I'll be honest I haven't thought much of xingyun in a MINUTE so I'm all fresh outta them haha! But thank you for enjoying my silly little musings <3

Xiaother/Aexiao (Xiao and Aether) Al Haitham/Cyno (Haino/Cytham) Beigguang (Beidou/Ningguang) Ittosara (Itto/Kujou Sara) Chilumi (Childe/Lumine) fan

For ships I just like though it'd be Jean/Diluc, Kazuha/Scaramouche, Aether/Scaramouche, Albedo/Aether, Kuki/Heizou, Bennett/Fischl, Albedo/Xingqiu, Chongyun/Hu Tao, Zhongli/Guizhong, Eula/Amber, Xingqiu/Xiangling and Gorou/Kokomi. I'm kinda starting to like Kaeya/Dainsleif too.

Ships I hate most people know: Any Venti ships outside of KazuVen (Cause Kazuha is the only character I could see working well with Venti and being good as his partner.)

I hate Cynonari so much it's so boring as a concept: friends to lovers is a lame trope.

I can't stand Xingqiu x Chongyun while I like their dynamic to a degree and I think the ship makes perfect sense I hate how the fandom has made their entire relationship "two gay twinks" 🤢 (They're not even twinks the definition of the word directly contradicts what the fandom keeps saying about them being underage not that I expect Genshin fans to read.)

Razor x Bennett another ship the fandom has ruined. The shippers are rude as hell and they never get called out. Their relationship feels like a friendship nothing about it screams gay.

Kavetham because it feels like the two of them aren't allowed to have their own characters without being called gay and it's exhausting.

Eimiko same reason as Xingyun honestly. Plus I find it hilarious how everyone will call Yayato an "illegal" ship because of the age gap and power imbalance as if Eimiko doesn't suffer from the same fate. Plus Yae was raised by Ei so.. interesting.

Jeanlisa terrible ship name/terrible fans.

Zhongchi most of the fans don't listen to the actual chinese fans when they say that Zhongli giving Childe chopsticks was not an act of love. Also I just think the ship only exists to sexualize both guys as much as possible.

Ittogorou I just ugh I hate this ship it's so overly sexualized like I like gay ships with an abundance of romantic tension. Plus it only exists because of one voiceline and an in game joke that isn't funny and reminds me of why I can't stand Yae.

And the ships I don't like/don't get [just as a sort of bonus]

Scaramona I'm pretty sure it's an enemies to lovers thing but I don't get it.. I know they had an event together I just don't get it..

KokoSara another enemies to lovers my favorite trope but they're so professional with each other I can't find it cute at all.

Alberose they have no chemistry 😐

Ganqing I just find them both so boring that I can't like any ship with either of them.

Zhongxiao I mean I see them as father and son but they're canonically not so yeah they have a good relationship but like.. it wouldn't be very healthy either way.. cause Xiao treats Zhongli as this always correct force above him and it's a little too imbalanced power wise.

Dainlumi I like the dynamic without liking the characters together.

And any ship where they have never had any in game conversations/ have no voicelines for each other. I don't get any of them Childe/Diluc, Jean/Ningguang, Thoma/Diluc all of those I don't get it.

Yesterday, I was bored out of my mind, and after being reminded of a picture sent by my best friend of Chongyun's head photoshopped onto this guy with a hoodie, my brain just went BOOM

They are literally so cute they have the enemies to lovers cliché which is basic but I love it. This ship is also so good for angsty fanarts and fics.

XIAOVEN (XIAO X VENTI - GENSHIN IMPACT)

To be fair I haven't been indulging in this ship in a while but it's gotta be my favorite Venti or Xiao ship. This ship is also extremely viable with angst. This is ship is so innocent too I love it 💕

RENGA (REKI X LANGA - SK8 THE INFINITY)

Im pretty sure the ENTIRE sk8 fandom ships this lmao. They're just perfect for each other. They complete each other. Gay skater boys what more could i say

Well they're canon so like i gotta ship it. Deku's flustered moments are so amusing to watch imo. I literally rewatch everytime uraraka gets jealous bc deku is literally surrounded by other girls for no reason. They're friendship is also adorable i might even be ok if they didn't up being confirmed canon relationship.

BAKUDEKU (KATSUKI X IZUKU - MY HERO ACADEMIA)

In comes the toxicity??? Idk I'm still kinda new to the BnHA fandom but ik the fandom is super toxic abt bkdk vs izuocha or just ships in general. But how could I NOT ship this??? As a multishipper i feel obligated to ship anything that works and is cute. I don't even know which deku ship i like better, it's the same as how i can't choose who my favorite character is (bakugo or todoroki??) But yeah bkdk dynamic is like friends to enemies to friends to lovers or something even more complicated lmao. Idk why but I see a lot of fics and edits that are like angsty?? Like deku likes kacchan but kacchan likes Kiri (｡•́︿•̀｡) or baku likes deku but deku is looking at uraraka (ᗒᗩᗕ)

Tbh this isn't rlly an OTP anymore but it used to be. Like a year ago. The ship is still super cute tho Xiao is protective but not in a possessive way like Childe whos a possessive yandere and will personally chop you into pieces if you so much as look at her for a second too long... Why am I making this abt chilumi now NO. The traveler is the only one Xiao opens up to which is cute, traveler is the only "mortal" he responds to.

TODOMOMO (SHOTO X MOMO - MY HERO ACADEMIA)

Idk they're just cute yk. They have the rich power couple vibes, they both got into UA through recommendations. They are literally each other's biggest fans and of all todoroki or yaomomo ships this makes the most sense.

GIYUSHINO (GIYU X SHINOBU - DEMON SLAYER)

Not really an OTP but they are cute. I think I might ship it more if i didn't know how things end up with shinobu. It's cute when shinobu teases tomioka and tomioka is just so clueless abt everything i love giyu i ship giyu x me /j

TANKANA (TANJIRO X KANAO - DEMON SLAYER)

There isn't that much canon content fueling this ship but I always have the fanarts which make me ship everything even more... i didn't finish the manga but I do know that it's implied that they end up together and have grandchildren, but that last episode from season one Kanao was totally feeling something prove me wrong. Kanao reminds me of myself.. docile :(

Also do ppl actually ship tanjiro with rengoku that's kinda... Pedophilia and weird even if it wasn't....

I am just going to say one option between a lot I have thought about

Renga. First kiss? After they started dating one day Reki was busy with something and Langa was looking at him, enchanted with everything about him he couldn't help but ask: "Reki, can I kiss you?" Which turned Reki into a blushing mess, after the initial shock and thanks to Langa asking again and again he nodded, resulting in a little kiss that didn't last for long. After that, their kisses were very similar, they just lasted longer, until one day Reki said Langa didn't need to ask all the time, it was fine if he kissed him out of the blue. So Langa did that and the next time he kissed Reki without asking, being this kiss more intimate. Reki also started kissing Langa without asking. They didn't do more than that, both being fine with the intimacy they already had while kissing. But, sometimes they will make out, not a lot of times, just sometimes when they had a lot of adrenaline after a race or after drinking a lot (when they aren't underage)

Xingyun. First kiss? They were chilling in Xingqiu's house, both of them reading until Xingqiu led down his book to kiss Chongyun on the forehead, he, without paying attention to his words, said something like: "You could kiss me more." After some minutes of silence Chongyun realized what he had said and wanted to back down, Xingqiu didn't let him asking if it was really okay and if he could do it on the mouth, Chongyun struggling said it was okay, and that he had practice so his condition wouldn't be a problem, Xingqiu without losing time kissed Chongyun slowly on the mouth for later praise him about how good he is. They kissed after that every time one of them wanted, as a reunion, as a good bye, for something well done, etc. They don't do anything more that that, no hook up for them

Xiaoven. First kiss? It was late in the night, they were in Wangshu inn, Xiao was practicing with the flute some tune Venti had taught him. When he released the flute Venti took the chance and kissed Xiao on the lips, after that without muttering a word Venti dropped himself in Xiao's lap and Xiao continued playing. They didn't need to talk about it, none of them felt the need to kiss, they just did it when they felt like doing it, when it felt natural, when they wanted to feel the others warmth. If they hooked up it will be because they didn't want to think, when one of them just wanted to forget everything they will start kissing more deeply, started making out just to be able to think only about the other, about how good it felt, how the other was holding them...

"Hm, are you blushing?" Xingqiu asked in a mischievous voice tone, almost whispering it into his friend ear, while his fingers repeatedly squeezed Chongyun sides, slightly moving his hands up and down, making the cryo user cackle loudly, drawing the attention of a few other people that were passing near by the harbor.

It wasn't hard to make the young exorcist blush, there were plenty of ways to do it with very little or no effort, but this one was one of Xingqiu's personal favorites. Unlike overly praising his friend or giving him compliments out of the blue, this method required a little more action, but it was always worth the results. 

After having lunch together, just like any other day, the two boys decided to take their usual walk to the harbor. Xingqiu didn't manage to prank Chongyun this time, everything was going way too smoothly for the exorcist, but the hydro user wasn't going to let it end just like that.

When Chongyun was about to sit down and watch the view, he felt a pair of hands grab him by his waist, dragging him down to the floor with ease as ticklish jolts started flowing through his body. Xingqiu hummed gladly while the other tried to drag himself away from him or roll over to cover one of the spots.

"X-Xingqiu, stahahap! Pff, noohoho!" The exorcist whined, trying to hold his reactions, the idea of being watched was making him blush ever more.

"You are sooo red! ~" He teased, squeezing the boy's waist and making him yelp, drawing even louder giggles out of his mouth. 

"Nahahah! P-please, ahahaha!" He cried out softly between laughter as he tried to hold his friend’s wrists and pull his hands away from his stomach as the other clawed at his stomach, but lacking strength to do so.

"You look rather cute like this, you know that? ~" The bookworm spoke again, teasing the other even further, which seemed to have enhanced his ticklishness. He wouldn't eventually show the exorcist, but not now... He still wanted to see that smile a little more.

NO BUT FOR REAL xingyun feels SO weird to me, so many of their fans are weirdly gross. why are they in their grown ass age so obsessed with two teenage boys who are just friends being together romantically? (Both xingqiu and chongyun are about 16 to 17)

I personally like to think of Xingqiu as fifteen/sixteen with Chongyun as eighteen just because I know how fast the fandom would resort to calling it pedophilla (not the right word for a relationship of that regard but this fandom is brain dead) and drop the ship like a bad habit. No one understands the pure unmitigated joy I accumulated over this idea.

I've seen men, young teenagers, women of all ages who like this ship. And I really wouldn't care, I would not care at all if it didn't feel like an obsession. I mean just look at how loud the Xingyun community got during the Irodori festival when Xingqiu went to Inazuma by himself. God forbid Xingqiu have a life outside of his "boyfriend" right 😒

Like people crying and whining cause Chongyun didn't get shoved into a plot that was NOT made for him to be in?? Seriously. Do they want Xingqiu and Chongyun to be tied together or something?? They have their own LIVES and JOBS it's so weird. I obtained the briefest moment of happiness when Shenhe was announced and all the blooming fan art was of him and her and it was so cute then the fandom ruined even that by shoving Xingqiu into those happy moments as well.
