does he have a job / does he Like having a job?

how was he made / who was he made by?

whenever i see robots wearing clothes i have to ask: what kind of world does he live in? is this a futuristic robot / human harmony type of situation? is it all robots? a parallel dimension? etc

can ret eat or sleep + how? can ret dream ? what does he dream about, if at all?

answering the third question first bc i wanted to show y'all Ret's full outfit, he likes jus stayin shirtless to avoid overheating, plus in the house he lives in, everyone's a robot so no one bats an eye.

Ret's world is actually within the same world as my object head ocs! same time frame as well, its just that Ret's continent is filled with humans and my object head guys live on another continent, p far away. in-universe, Ret's time frame isnt really that far from us! i'd say around 2046, technology has advanced significantly but not to the 'robots and humans live in harmony' level, but are still very intelligent to operate on their own.

Ret does have a job! hes one of those 'amazing ai makes creative project' robots, think miku if miku wrote her own songs and made her own dance choreography, drew her own posters- etc! Ret, to executives, is a self-sustaining machine that doesnt need a team, which lets him have a lot of creative control over his music videos and add his own 'X-factor' to them thats very eye catching to audiences [its the autism. the autism is the x factor]

if you asked HIM, he would say that he likes having a job, smth to do, a set purpose, but he does wish he could try smth different every once in a while nd it shows in his projects. oddly enough, he communicates his feelings really well in his videos but as soon as he has to verbalize them he tends to lie to appease whoever is asking.

originally, he was a gimmick bot, his gimmick was 'put your data into this machine, and it will write a song about your deepest desires!', just a song-writer ai, what he did as a prototype was as rudementary as psychic hot-reading [or cold-reading if the date input was insufficient], he grew to learn how to read peoples data better with time, and became a 'viral moment' so to speak.

at the present in my story, Ret still has his job but he won't have it for much longer :)

Ret does not know who his creator is because by the time he was sentient, he was a part of a huge media company that housed a lot of these sorts of robots. [hype-house sorta deal, I designed 1 of the other robos... i need to show y'all the others!]

[his creator was a young male developer who was better at coding than he is at song writing, so he thought starting a project like Ret, originally named Rhett before his launch, would be a fun challenge]

Ret cannot dream, but he can 'sleep', he likes to charge via a mobile charging station if an outlet is not readily available and convenient, and during charging his body becomes inactive, but his mind is partially awake. [he can still hear everything around him. he chooses to keep that tidbit of info to himself]

She realized her gender fairly young, all things considered. She’d play around and try different things out outside of public eye, and it wasn’t too long until things clicked into place for her.

Her parents helped her pick out her name. While the kanji used for her name does not refer to the fruit, she had (and still does) a sweet spot for peaches, thus choosing the name “Momo” (apparently peaches have a lot of positive meaning in Japan, which adds some nice extra to her name).

She knows how to perform things such as tea ceremony quite well, as she learned such things after publicly coming out. While she enjoys tea and the sweets that come with it, learning this kind of stuff was an odd necessity of sorts, sort of a strange way of passing if you wanted to look at it like that. Costs of being in such a high social class.

Parents own some of those cheesy “I love my daughter” type of items. Self-indulgent thought, but love them being supporting in all the ways. Then again, Momo sometimes unironically buys those “self-made woman” shirts, so she ain’t quite in the position to judge.

Occasionally has doubts about how others in the social sphere will respond to her. These thoughts aren’t as frequent as when she was younger, as she has much more leadership skills and standing, but the doubts have never fully gone away. The unconditional support from her classmates definitely helps quells those thoughts. After all, the most important people to her love and support her, and that’s what matters.

She lowkey enjoys dressing up for events. While she fully understands that clothes aren’t internally gendered, getting to wear long skirts and such makes her feel happy, that she can show herself off to the world. And she stands out there with pride.

I just want you to know nothing could be further from the truth! I just like knowing how things are going for you and seeing your takes on stuff. I frequently feel like I have to be creating something for others in order to feel like my presence is justified. I also feel so much guilt when I don't post regularly on Patreon.

Thank you so much for the reassurance that I can exist without constantly writing and posting something new all the time. I really need that reassurance from time to time.

I used to post so much new writing when I first started way back in 2013. I kept up a pace that was just so unsustainable, especially when I went through The Liver Trials, and then the pandemic right after.

I'm perpetually haunted by the fear that if I don't post--and post a lot--that people will disappear and stop caring. I have been working on this in therapy and I know it comes from a fear of abandonment that started in childhood. I always had to produce something--grades, artwork--to be worthy of love and attention. And it couldn't just be any "something," it had to be the "best." (I'm a child of immigrants. The generational trauma is strong.)

Anyway. I hold this ask close to my heart. Thank you so much.

I hate how Venti almost always gets borderline bullied and disrespected in fics either by the reader or other characters, there is a difference between playful bickering and being an absolute cunt to someone..

like..

if i'm reading a venti x reader fic i don't want to see the reader being mean to him or rejecting his affection or insulting him, it's almost like as if writers don't like him and take shit out on him??

Why do people treat venti like a punching bag??

Some people do not know how to write teasing flirtation. I think a sizeable portion of this fanbase is writing for the first time actually. I rarely ever read Venti x readers anymore specifically for similar reasons to this. (Some people wanna write for every character without understanding every character).

The main reason though is I'm sick of the 'ehe' every other word Venti says. Like he only does that in canon when he's flustered or deflecting he doesn't say it every five seconds. I feel like I'm being brought back to the AOT fandom with Levi's constant 'tch' every time I see it.

Also Also people need to stop having Venti neglect his s/o. If you honestly think Venti would treat his partner in anyway other than the light of his life, moon to his stars, the most sacred being he's ever gazed upon you're doing it wrong and I'm deleting your document and stealing all the chargers in your house.

My guy is on Chancellor Palpatine's speed dial while simultaneously knowing Kal and the Nulls are up to shit and he has to allow it or else he's getting hosed too. The middle management struggle is real.
