comforting myself today by thinking about that scene in yuwu where gu mang is trying to get mo xi to flirt with him by egging him on with things like "did kissing me taste sweeter than candy :~)" and "you should come back here to sleep with me :~)" but mo xi only panicked and was like "well................. good night"

Today we're gonna be doing some creative interpretation of the myth of the 10 suns (like we did with Sun Wukong becoming the Monkey King a while ago), start to finish, and I'm gonna try to include as many elements from different sources as I can.
So to begin with, the 10 suns are just sick and tired of their mother, Xihe, smothering them. She's too overprotective and refuses to let more than one of them outside at a time, and even then only with her direct supervision on a very set course. So they decide to indulge in a little teen rebellion and all go up into the sky before their mother comes to collect them one morning and immediately decide that teen rebellion is the best and they're never coming down.
Their parents, Xihe and the current ruler of the cosmos Di Jun, try everything in their power to convince them to come down because they're causing the mortals on Earth to suffer, but they don't care and keep partying up in the sky. Eventually, Di Jun thinks that if an authority figure can't convince his sons to come down, maybe a friend will, so he calls up Hou Yi. Hou Yi, being the caretaker of the suns and the god of Riyue Mountain, is the obvious choice. He knows the 10 suns very well and is a good friend to all of them. Surely nothing could go wrong if he was in charge!
Except....
When Hou Yi goes down to the mortal realm to scope out the situation it's bad. Like, really bad. He meets up with a mortal man, Shen I, who had been tasked by the human emperor to deal with the suns with his bow and arrow (somehow), and the ypung demigod Erlang Shen who is pissed beyond reason that his mother died in the heat of the extra suns. The three of them go along to try and talk the suns down, with Hou Yi giving Shen I some very helpful archery tips and becoming good friends with both younger men. He convinces them to let him try to talk it out first, which they reluctantly agree to.
They eventually reach the suns and Hou Yi tells them about all the horrible things happening down on earth because of their behavior, but they refuse to listen. Enraged at his mother's killers being apathetic to the situation they created, Erlang starts throwing mountains at them. He manages to hit a few, but most fly up too high out of his reach and refuse to come back down. This leaves Hou Yi and Shen I no choice but to take their bows and shoot down suns until only one remained in the sky.
With the crisis solved, Hou Yi leaves his mortal friends and goes back to the Heavenly Court, where Di Jun and Xihe are furious. Hou Yi tries to explain the situation, but they're too beside themselves in grief and rage to listen. So, instead of sharing the blame with his two friends, Hou Yi takes all the blame for the incident himself and is punished alone. They strip him of his immortality and banish him to the mortal world. His wife, Chang'e, tries to intercede and have them reconsider but is only sentenced to join her husband in his punishment for her troubles.
Down on earth, Hou Yi is horrified and wracked with guilt that his beloved Chang'e has been reduced to a mortal doing menial tasks and condemned to an eventual death, so he decides to do something about it. He travels all the way to Kunlun and the court of Xiwangmu and explains his situation. She feels really bad for him and wants to help how she can, but she only has one pill of immortality left. The other one had been scooped up by this mortal kid named Shen I, and he was long gone by now. By the time Hou Yi found him, he would have already taken the pill. Disappointed but not hopeless, Hou Yi takes the remaining pill and returns home.
Back at the house, he tells Chang'e the situation and insists she take the pill but she refuses. She's his wife and any life she lives, mortal or otherwise, will be at his side and nowhere else. Hou Yi does his best to try and convince her, but she's stubborn and eventually they decide to put the matter to rest until a later date.
They end up making a life in the mortal realm, with Hou Yi becoming a well respected figure in their community for his archery skills. He takes on several apprentices, including a young man named Feng Meng. He accidently lets it slip to his disciple that there's a pill of immortality in his house, and Feng Meng gets a very dastardly idea. Waiting until Hou Yi was gone, Feng Meng attacked Chang'e when she was alone and demanded the pill. Struck with the choice of regaining her divinity and being separated from her beloved husband for eternity or allowing her killer to become a god, Chang'e takes the pill herself and smites Feng Meng in all her divine glory.
However, she is now unable to stay in the mortal world. Going to find her husband, she explains what happens and they have a tearful goodbye before she ascends into the heavens once more. However, she was unwilling to rejoin the divine court that had banished her husband in the first place, even if Di Jun had stepped down in shame for his sons' actions. So she goes to the moon instead, wanting to be just that little bit closer to her beloved.
This isn't quite the end, though. You see, Erlang and Shen I had been having their own adventures in the intervening years and had become gods themselves. Finding out what had happened to their friend and his wife, they were horrified, especially Shen I who had walked off with the pill of immortality that would have allowed Hou Yi and Chang'e to stay together. He feels even worse because his wife had ended up stealing the pill anyway! (Then she turned into a toad) Both of them end up swearing to assist Chang'e in any way they can in honor of their friend who protected them from Heavenly punishment and was doomed to a mortal life in their stead.
SUCH DRAMA! I love it! What about you guys?

[Hanfu · 漢服]Chinese Immortal Traditional Hanfu Refer to Tang Dynasty Painting 《八十七神仙圖/The Eighty-seven Immortals》
【God of the Moon in Chinese Mythology-太阴星君/Tàiyīn xīng jūn】
Yesterday(9/29) was the Mid-Autumn Festival/中秋节(Zhōngqiū jié). I believe many people have heard the story about the Goddess of the Moon-Chang'e/嫦娥.
But there is another god of the moon in Chinese mythology that not many people know - 【太阴星君/Tàiyīn xīng jūn】
Folks often think that the 太阴星君/Tàiyīn xīng jūn is Chang'e/嫦娥, but scholars usually think that she is not or that she is Chang Xi/常羲, the wife of Emperor Jun/帝俊.
Changxi (Chinese: 常羲) or Changyi (Chinese: 常儀) is a Chinese lunar goddess worshiped in the traditional Chinese pantheon. Known from ancient times, the earliest historical information on Changxi can be traced back to the Classic of Mountains and Seas (山海经). She is the wife of Di Jun(Emperor Jun/帝俊) and the mother of twelve moons.
The earliest known mention of Changxi is made in the mythic text The Canon of the Mountains and Seas, romanised as Shan-hai Ching. A single line in it reads: "The Di Jun married Changxi, who gave birth to twelve Moons
The God of the Eastern Sky Di Jun had three wives, including Changxi, who was regarded as his first wife and Xihe(羲和)'s western counterpart; while Xihe(羲和) gave birth to the ten suns, Changxi bore twelve unique moon daughters that would complete a full journey across the heavens every day. She bathed her children in a water pool. Described as an "important early goddess", her significance amongst the deities gradually waned and she was eventually "demoted to a minor position"
Together, Xihe(羲和) and Changxi (常羲)are a representation of yin yang(阴阳). Xihe and her ten suns, and Changxi and her twelve moons represent the Chinese solar and lunar calendars respectively. Changxi is often confused with fellow lunar goddess Chang'e.

The Husky And The White Cat Shizun With Their Baobei
Chapter 17(checked the revised version of chapter 1,2,and 5 as well)
It has been three months, and you still have not finished copying the Dynasty Time Flowing Rong as punishment. Other disciples give you pitiful looks when they see you walk out of the library. You’re hardly one-tenth of the way through after several hundred pages. Luckily, Chu Wanning didn't set a deadline for this task. The book is filled with many names, but the only ones that caught your attention were the two generals of the Northern Frontier Army. One is known as the Beast of the Altar, and the other has the title of Xihe-Jun.
Each of these individuals held the top position of Chonghua's commanders before the enduring Peace Era. They all bravely gave their lives for the country. Initially, they didn't stand out much, except for one with a noteworthy nickname, as it was common for generals to sacrifice themselves for the nation. However, after perusing and transcribing the subsequent pages, it became evident that Xihe-Jun and the Beast of the Altar had a deeply intricate connection. Even though there was no explicit mention of romantic involvement, there's an unmistakable sense that their relationship is more complex than it appears. Subsequently, an increasing number of school names began to emerge.
—-
The four disciples were summoned to the Red Lotus Pavilion by their Shizun, Chu Wanning, also known as Yuheng Elder. Chu Wanning confirmed the stability of all four spiritual cores and their upcoming trip to Xuying Peak.
Xuying Peak, the holy mountain of the upper cultivation realm, stands thousands of feet high and is home to spiritual weapons awaiting their future masters. According to legend, it is where the God of Weapons, Gouchen the Exalted, forged his swords. The peak was also the foundation of heavenly demon eliminations, with the lake and sea serving as its pools, and the divine blood of the god used to forge the first real ‘sword'.
The Jincheng Pool on Xuying Peak, where divine blood has never dried up despite centuries, is the main attraction for cultivators seeking high divine weapons. Though frozen all year round, only a limited number of Daoists with the ability within their spiritual core can temporarily melt the ice in the pool.
Xue Meng eagerly questioned Chu Wanning about obtaining his own weapon and inquired about the ancient beast associated with Chu Wanning's Divine Martial Weapon. Chu Wanning revealed that the ancient beast that appeared in front of him was a Kun Peng.
Kun Pengs are massive creatures with fish-like bodies, bird-like wings, and beaks. They are considered great ancient divine creatures originating from China. Chu Wanning's revelation about his ancient beast and spiritual energy surpassed that of regular cultivators and even some sect leaders.
Xue Meng, inspired by Chu Wanning, expressed enthusiasm about the prospect of having the same ancient beast. However, Mo Ran reminded Xue Meng that he needed to melt the lake water first. Chu Wanning then explained the process of bonding with the spiritual animal to obtain a spiritual weapon.
Xue Meng, curious about the process, asked Chu Wanning about the request made by Kun Peng.
Chu Wanning never felt embarrassed sharing the ridiculous requests made by spiritual creatures. Kun Peng once asked for meat buns, prompting three disciples to chuckle while you stood unamused. Chu Wanning possesses three holy weapons: Tianwen, a golden willow vine whip; Huaisha, a golden sword and his most powerful holy weapon; and Jiuge, a guqin believed to be his fated weapon.
This temporary stroke of luck for the protagonist is nothing compared to what's coming in the future.
In your previous life, Shi Mei gave up the chance to go to Xuying Peak, perhaps due to low self-esteem or knowing the truth about the immortals beneath there and avoiding the problem. When Shi Mei gave up his chance, Mo Ran tried to convince him, irritating Chu Wanning, who later left both Mo Ran and Shi Mei.
This time, Shi Mei suggested staying in the sect, but Chu Wanning chose not to leave. Despite his cold demeanor, his indifferent words were his silent attempt to change Shi Mei's mind, and Shi Mei eventually agreed with hesitation.
Mo Ran reassured Shi Mei: "Shi Mei, don’t be afraid. I’m here."
The trip to the Upper Cultivation World was long, taking more than ten days to arrive in Dai City, next to Xuying Peak. The city was more luxurious than the richest people in the Lower Cultivation World, thriving with rich merchants and noblewomen.
There were so many problems that could have been easily solved if only the Upper Cultivation World had assisted. However, as expected, those greedy rich folks hid behind their wealth and ignored the poor. Rich and powerful they may be, but their greed only served to breed corruption and injustice. They had the means to help those in need, yet they often prioritized their own desires over the well-being of the common people.
As a result, Xue Meng's perspective regarding the Upper Cultivation Realm was not good. Despite being spoiled by both his mother and father, Xue Meng knew that the Upper Cultivation World wasn't as good as it seemed. It was extremely lazy when it came to selecting missions, only picking ones that brought fame and increased their reputation. When all the good-quality missions were taken by the Upper Cultivation World, the Lower Cultivation World was left with the unwanted missions. Some sects from the Lower Cultivation World complained about it, but they could do nothing against the other side.
It was almost irritating to see Lower Cultivation World disciples complaining that their monthly salary from their missions wasn't even half of the salaries of the disciples from the Upper Cultivation World. Later, their seniors, or sometimes even the elders, scolded them. Xue Meng isn't one to care much about wealth and riches; after all, he's the son of a sect leader. But after hearing so many complaints from the disciples, his perspective regarding the Upper Cultivation Realm grew worse.
So it wasn't much of a surprise to see him mutter, "Those bastards in the Upper Cultivation World. They're really a bunch of rich people. Wine and meat stink, and bones freeze to death on the road," upon seeing the women and men in the bustling rich city wearing luxurious robes that even the people in the Lower Cultivation World would dream to have.
Mo Ran and Xue Meng, the peacock and dog duo, have finally found common ground after a long time. However, it seems like it's only a matter of time before they return to their original chaotic selves.
—-
Chu Wanning appears even more captivating in his silver mask, giving him an air of mystery. He elegantly and swiftly steps out of the carriage, greeted by you and his three other disciples. His disciples follow him closely as they enter the inn. Xue Meng boldly asks the inn owner for five rooms but is informed that only two rooms are available, and the five of them need to find a way to share. Chu Wanning pays for the two rooms, while Mo Ran and Xue Meng make some noise in the background. Mo Ran would never lend his Shi Mei to anyone and immediately claims that he and Shi Mei will share a room. While you don't care much, you feel a distance growing between you and Mo Ran. Mo Ran then surprises everyone by announcing that you will also be staying with him and Shi Mei. This causes a confrontation between Mo Ran and Xue Meng. Chu Wanning manages to silence them with one phrase, although they continue to glare at each other. With Mo Ran's mixed signals, you're not sure if he still despises you.
—-
There was no way Mo Ran would allow the negative influence of Chu Wanning to reach you. He wouldn't allow you to be manipulated by Chu Wanning this time!

Whumptober 2024 - 5+6
5. + 6.
Fandom: Remnants of filth
Characters/Ship: Mo Xi/Gu Mang
Prompt: Sunburn / Not realizing they’re injured
Notes: hello, I’m trying Whumptober for the first time, I’m going to hurt some danmei characters, but there’ll also be some comfort because I’m unable to write bad endings.
(This story is set somewhere the Time Mirror.)
Tumblr media
When Mo Xi comes home, after court, he’s greeted with the sight of Gu Mang running after that dog of his in the main courtyard. He rapidly averts his eyes. He’s tired and he doesn’t want to think of him and everything he brings with him, right now.
Then he hears a commotion, followed by a whimper of pain. He turns and sees that the dog is throwing himself on his master. He frowns when he notices how red Gu Mang’s cheeks are. Then he sees red streaks on a pale arm, and his mind goes blank.
He runs inside the house and almost collides against Li Wei.
«Xihe-jun, you’re…»
«What has happened to him?»
«What… what do you mean?»
«He’s hurt. What has he been doing today?»
Li Wei shakes his head. «I sent him with the others working in the garden. It was such a lovely sunny day. I thought he could help them with trimming weeds and similar tasks. But I haven’t seen him after.»
Mo Xi turns on his heels, ignoring Li Wei’s voice asking for more explanations. He marches to the courtyard, where Gu Mang is seated with crossed legs, intent in petting his dog. Mo Xi stops in front of him to assess the situation. The lovely sunny day has burned Gu Mang’s pale skin (he tries to force away a memory: when he was in the army his skin was more accustomed to the sun, and turned to a golden colour.) And he must have met some thorny weeds, because his arms and hands are full of bloody scratches.
Suddenly Gu Mang lifts his head and Mo Xi has to face his unsettling blue eyes. He looks at Mo Xi without a word, an empty expression on his sunburnt face.
«Why didn’t you ask for someone to take care of your wounds?» Mo Xi snaps.
«What wounds?»
«You!» Helpless rage surges inside him. But what was he expecting? He’s seen how Gu Mang reacts to the pain inflicted on him. He just takes it. He’s learned the notion that this is what he deserves, so he doesn’t even acknowledge it. «Come with me» he orders, with a sigh.
«Are you angry?»
He is, but he doesn’t really know with whom. So he shooks his head and offers his hand to help the other stand.
He brings Gu Mang to his rooms, and while they cross his mansion he asks for water and ointment. When they are alone, he gestures the other to take away his upper robe, gaining a bewildered gaze in response. He does it anyway, so Mo Xi can clean him and take care of the scratched. They’re not deep nor particularly bad, but he doesn’t like the way they add new marks on the other’s scarred body.
Then he applies some ointment on Gu Mang’s burned face. He keeps his gaze away from the other’s blue eyes. The gesture he’s making is so intimate that it makes him feel terribly awkward.
Gu Mang, who has endured the wound tending without a sound, decides that this is the perfect time for one of his weird remarks.
«Why are you doing this? Is there something wrong with my face?»
«Haven’t you noticed that the sun burned your skin?»
«Oh. That’s why it was so hot and itchy.» He makes something that resembles a small smile, and Mo Xi must fight the impulse to run away and leave him there alone. «How did you know the sun burned me?»
«Your skin is terribly red. You didn’t take a good look at your face, didn’t you?»
«Got no mirror» he answers, with a shrug, and Mo Xi has no reply for this. He goes on with his delicate work, trying to finish fast. He’s almost done with it, when the other frowns and his lips twist with something that could even be fun.
Then Gu Mang puts his fingers in the ointment’s jar that Mo Xi left on the table next to them, and smears some scented healing oil on Mo Xi’s right ear.
«What are you doing?» he screams, backing away.
«If this is meant to be put on red skin, then you need it for your ears.»
Mo Xi looks at him in disbelief. Gu Mang still has that almost-smile on his lips. He cannot bear to see it a minute more.
«Go back to your dog» he mutters. «Go to your place. Sleep. You need to rest. Don’t go out gardening tomorrow.»
Gu Mang nods and starts to walk away. When he’s on the threshold, Mo Xi calls him back.
«Wait! If you… If you’re hurt, don’t just go on doing whatever you are doing.»
In you’re hurt, come to me, he would like to say, but the words get caught in his throat.

Mythological context to Junko that doesn't tend to get brought up- the mother of the sun crows killed by Houyi (the god) is a goddess known as Xihe, one of two wives of the obscure ruling god Di Jun, the other being Changxi, mother of twelve moons. Changxi would later become conflated with Chang'e, which would make her presumably an active participant in the murder of Xihe's children along with Houyi.
So there's some complicated possibilities here, and I think perhaps a degree of the confusion between semihistorical and mythological figures may be a product of Junko's abilities purifying away a clear identity for her.
But it's also possible that Chang'e is Junko's ex. I might even say "likely" given some of her dialogue with Reimu.

also i’m finally finally done with the main story bit of yuwu, still have the epilogue and extras (murong lian’s diary) to finish but wow like,, it’s been a truly wild ride. this story is so jam-packed because things just keep happening and it’s blown my mind more than mdzs. at some point during the last few chapters i was seriously gonna lose my mind with moxi. man’s made of steel istg how could he keep going after everything that’s been thrown at him? one of my fav lines was something about how moxi felt that he kept showing nothing but sincerity to everyone around him, and everyone around him had nothing but facades and lies to offer in return. his sincerity has been taken advantage of so many times, even by gumang. and i love that the story is not afraid to tell us that. sometimes even the ones we love also hurt us a lot. but in the end, moxi still never backs down on his sincerity. he stayed true to himself and what he believes in till the very end. our little fireball, stove, princess, shidi, the spirit of tuntian itself. i love him so much :(
(on a side note i found it very very cute how tall and terrifying xihe-jun, commander of the northern frontier army with a face like ice, has the cutest nicknames ever like, ‘stove’, ‘little fireball’, ‘princess’, even ‘silly princess’ im just like *head in hands* yes he is tall and scary and intimidating but he is also a tiny squishy baby)
also, this story just keep on having plot twists left and right, even until the last few pages. just when you think there can’t possibly be anymore twists left, meatbun just springs a surprise on you T-T mo xi and gu mang finally got their well-deserved happy ending and who would’ve thought that in the end, it’s murong lian who stays with our heroes? was a pity that murong chuyi had to go, i really liked him a lot and he never got a chance to showcase his real personality to others and to us readers. poor guy.
as for what happens after that, here are my headcanons: i suppose yue chenqing will rise to take over the northern frontier army commander position and ofc the head of the yue household. ximang and murong lian remain happily at the academy and raise the next batch of cultivators who will go on to establish great cultivation sects and change the world (look at the nangongs mentioned in the extras! i see what u did there meatbun). the haitang tree absorbs murong chuyi’s teachings which then manifests in chu wanning centuries later. jiang fuli leaves with su yurou to resume their nomadic lifestyle or settle down in a small village somewhere. they have children and somewhere along the way down their descendent line, jiang xi is born and he establishes the guyueye sect and becomes rich just like his ancestor once was. peace is established in chonghua once more, but things keep changing in the imperial jianghu and centuries later the new emperor of the mortal realm, taxianjun, wrecks havoc upon the land.
if there’s anything all these xianxia cultivation danmei novels have taught me, it’s that sometimes in the end, all anyone wants is a simple life in domestic, pastoral bliss. heroism and legacy is good, but the cottagecore enthusiasts were always right. sometimes it’s just better to be a commoner and live a quiet life away from the public eye.
i haven’t finished 2ha yet, so there are some things that i’ve yet to look out for in the story e.g. mentions of the ancestors of the characters in yuwu. am very excited for that. thank you meatbun for creating these characters and this world!

I talked a lot about LMK specifically the past couple days (because I had a lot to say), but today we're back to your regularly scheduled sh*tposting!
Now, one of my my first sh*tposts was about the Jade Emperor, Queen Mother of the West, King Father of the East, and Tian Hou. I wanted to revisit the topic a little now that I have a little more research under my belt. Specifically, I wanted to examine why Xiwangmu started being characterized as the Jade Emperor's consort when she already had a husband.
As I've said before many times (and will not shut up about because I think it's hilarious) the Jade Emperor was created in 1005 AD to justify a controversial peace treaty (side note, I think it's really cool how we can give such a specific date to the creation of a deity when most of mythology is endless guesswork and probably never knowing the answer anyway). Anyway, since he was literally a brand new god, Cheng Sung, the emperor who made him up, was really insistent on how real and important he was. As a result, in addition to bribing public figures not to disagree with him, he might have also seen fit to give his OC legitimacy by giving him a big, important wife.
Now, as we've been over, there have been several goddess that could have filled this role. The aforementioned Tian Hou, who is very popular with sailors due to her association with the sea and saving wayward vessels, as well as Di Jun's consorts Xihe and Changxi, mothers of the 10 Suns and 12 moons respectively. It even seems that Di Jun was the popular ruler of the gods around the time of the Jade Emperor's creation, so if our green boy was moving in to supplant Di Jun why didn't he also take his wives?
Perhaps it was because he wasn't meant to as Di Jun was too recent, and suddenly saying that this new guy who was totally real was also way cooler and more important than the god you've been worshipping for generations probably wouldn't have gone over well. Dongwanggong, on the other hand, had long since fell out of regular and seems to have been less popular than his wife anyway. So it might have been easier for Cheng Sung, or whoever picked up worshipping the Jade Emperor after him, to snatch his wife instead of Di Jun's. Coupled with the fact that Xiwangmu is pretty badass, it probably did a lot for her new hubby's early street cred.
Again, this is just speculation and I'd love to hear other ideas.

Me to my blorbo. I rather stick with questionable characters because at least they are honest.
After Gu Mang defected, the maidens changed their type. They all flocked to admire Mo Xi instead, and some even sighed, “Ah, it’s good for men to be a little stuffy—they’re more honest that way. At least they won’t let us down like Gu Mang.” “Even though Xihe-jun has a bad temper, he tells it like it is. If there’s anything he wants to rant about, he’ll say it outright. He won’t ever put on an act.”

Was that [ZHANG ZHEHAN]? Oh no no, that was just [MO XI], a [CANON CHARACTER] from [YUWU/REMNANTS OF FILTH]. They are [THIRTY] years old, use [HE/HIM], and [ARE] aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long. {it is me, ollie}
Tumblr media
me, banging pots and pans about meatbun's webnovels constantly: if u are a cnovel / cultivation world / danmei enjoyer, read yuwu.
i'm also not 100% set on his fc yet so that may change, but we'll see. anyway. non-spoiler info about mo xi below the cut!
how long has your character been here
3 or 4 months by april 2023.
what is your character’s job
tba-- i'm still trying to decide. i don't want him to join the army lol so i'm trying to figure out what job would make most sense based on his skills.
where has your character been pulled from in their fandom
for now he only remembers gu mang being brought back to chonghua as a traitor & captive, and running into him again the first few times. so early novel-ish when everything is still very yikes (as though the whole novel isn't yikes, lmao)
has any magic affected your character
no!
and any other information you might find useful for us and the other members to know:
mo xi is a general of the northern frontier in chonghua; technically his title is xihe-jun. his cultivation level is fairly high, both naturally and through his hard work.
he's known for being strict, boring, and a buzz-kill, essentially. people working under him generally respect him on the battlefield but don't particularly like him and occasionally even fear him, because he can be harsh when it comes to judgment & punishment. BUT he is very kind-hearted as long as people aren't terrible.
he looks unhappy 99% of the time, does not enjoy being social, prefers to keep things clean and organized, and has an extreme dislike for dirt/germophobia. control freak mo xi my beloved <3
the man is deeply in love with his shixiong, the former commander of the army who mo xi believes betrayed him by defecting, and also, literally stabbing him in the heart and leaving him for dead. big yikes. so he has not had a great time since then. love and hatred, gratitude and resentment. it's all very confusing for him !!
he feels so much all the time! and is just bad at showing it in a healthy way. unfortunately, he represses all emotions until they explode. you can imagine how well this has worked out.
he's more than capable of being civil when dealing with people, though he does not put up with bullshit or nonsense, and when he loses his temper it does not usually end well.
may add more details later but those are the basics! i love him! thanks!
