in the depth of your heart, you’ve always known that you’d end up with xavier thorpe, or have a high school love story with him, so there was no surprise for anyone that knew you, that when he finally asked you out to be his date on the upcoming ball, you were on cloud nine. almost as if he knew that you’ve rejected at least four boys that invited you.
suddenly becoming involved and interested in anything that revolved around the dance, looking out for a dress with enid, and wednesday was much more fun than you anticipated, asking yoko to help you out with make-up, and hair. you were ecstatic — happier than you’ve ever been.
it was finally your turn, after so much time of sulking, you got a chance.
at least you thought so. xavier thorpe has been your friends ever since your parents put you together in one crib, during a spontaneous meet-up with his. you were always there for him, hardly ever putting yourself before him. it wasn’t a shock, when you developed a crush, you could say it was expected.
and then, when he put down another of your offer to have at least one dance, you realized what was going on. your best friend wasn’t as happy as you, whenever the topic of the ball was brought up, changing it as soon as possible, he wasn’t keen on dancing, his mind definitely somewhere else. his eyes tracing around wednesday addams.
your heart clutched in your chest as you shifted in your chair, ready to stand up. “maybe you’d stop sulking if you asked her, instead of sitting here.” you rolled your eyes, the happiness far gone on your face. “do it. i’ll be outside if you were looking for me.” he just nodded his head in reply.
sneaking out noiselessly, you managed to climb upstairs to your dorm to quickly find a bottle of wine, you’d hit under your bed earlier. as soon as your dress touched the wooden floor, your eyes filled with tears — how couldn’t you think about it? even for a second? it was so painfully obvious that he was using you to get her jealous.
the bottle emptied pretty rapidly, but it wasn’t the only bottle you had hidden somewhere in your room. sobs, accompanied by the tunes of a song playing from a random, heartbreak playlist, filled the quiet room as you poured another glass of the liquid. you were just a pawn in his game, a small chapter that didn’t matter, not as much as he mattered to you.
you didn’t even think about washing off your makeup, as it only reminded you about the humiliation you faced after putting it on. you didn’t even put the dress back into the wardrobe, nor clean the empty bottles of your favorite wine.
yet, even though you were hurting so much, all you could do is wonder if he looked for you after your sudden disappearance, did he care enough to be at least a little worried, although you wouldn’t like to know the answer, it didn’t matter anyway.
when your roommate finally came back, her white dress soaked in red paint, she didn’t even care that your sheets would get stained, she didn’t even ask about the reason of your current state, she just pulled you into a hug, and didn’t let go for the next hours as you poured out your heart.
“why do i keep doing this? why do i keep running back to him, whenever he gets upset? why does it hurt so much, when i should’ve known it would end up like that.” you cried, head resting on her laps as you sipped the sweet liquid from the bottle. “will it ever be me?” you asked.
on the next day of classes, you weren’t really yourself. you were rarely bothered by anything, always trying to bring a good mood wherever you went, now — you were the complete opposite. earphones plugged in your ears with music blasting so loud that you barely heard your own thoughts, sunglasses resting at the bridge of your nose to hide the puffiness, and redness of your eyes, not even a single word coming out of your mouth.
“earth to y/n.” bianca tapped your shoulders lightly, grabbing your attention. you two weren’t exactly best friends — she was an ex-girlfriend of a boy you were so obviously interested in, yet you managed to hold everything in for the period of their relationship. “what happened between you, and xavier last night?” she asked, a worried expression painted all over her face.
bianca respected you more than anyone that could possibly be a threat to her relationship with thorpe, when they were still together. which was weird for anyone around you, knowing how inseparable the two of you could be, yet you never wanted to be the one to ruin their best friend’s relationship. so when bianca questioned your motives, not believing any of your words until you asked her to use the siren speak on you to learn the truth. that you backed out the second he told you, that you kept your feelings and affection for yourself.
“nothing.” you shrugged. “i was just a pawn to get wednesday’s attention, something i should’ve expected.” you cracked a sad smile, fixing the sunglasses on your nose. the girl seemed to be… shocked, a frown appearing on her face.
“he was unable to stop talking about you, when we were together yet now when he has a chance, he pulls out shit like that?” a sigh escaped from between her lips, arm threw over your shoulder. “i’ll swing by our room tonight, i’ll make sure you’ll be busy with something else.”
you smiled at the girl, accepting the offer, before she got back to her friend group. a notification popped up on the screen of your phone, a humorless laugh leaving your lips immediately.
xav: need 2 talk, my shack in 5?
as a rational human-being you were (with additional psychic abilities), you left him on read, and never stepped into his art studio. well, at first you were convinced to do it, but your legs decided upon going there — so again, you were running back to him whenever he wanted.
“hey.” you spoke out softly. “you said you needed to talk?” you added, the dim lighting of the room making him almost invisible. his head shot to you immediately, determination painted all over his face.
“where were you after you left?” his words sharply cut through the thick tension built around you. you were about to part your lips, and reveal yourself, when he added. “were you in the woods? that’s why you had to run away so fast? because you are the–”
so this is what it was all about — he didn’t want to see you to check if you were fine, he wanted to see you to investigate if you were the hyde that hurt eugene, and killed rowan. you let out a humorless chuckle, turning your back on him, ready to leave, though his hand gripped on your lower arm.
“so you are the hyde.” he stated, eyes burning with fury. “you left to run after eugene, because he found out about your little secret, so you had to cut ties?” his words incredibly pained you, cutting your heart like a knife, proceeded by stabbing.
you let out a long sigh, looking him dead in the eyes. “i was in my dorm, bawling my eyes out while drinking the wine my sister sent me, because my date didn’t even bother to look at me for a second, even though i spent my last savings to buy a dress, so maybe for once, he would look at me and think that i look pretty, that i did it for him.” you felt the tears filling up your eyes, yet you kept going. “i’ve spent the entire night, wondering when my role as a pawn in his game will end. and i’ve come to a conclusion that it won’t happen, there’s always gonna be someone above me in his hierarchy, even though we were friends for more than i can remember.” he let your arm out of the grip, a confused grimace on his lips. “why didn’t you just ask her? oh wait, i know, i’ve already been told why. you did ask her out, but she refused to go, because tyler invited her earlier, so i was just a getaway car as always.”
when he didn’t break the silence after you finished your monologue, you left, running away to the woods to gather your thoughts, and cry for the fifth time that day. you clearly weren’t in a mood to talk to anyone without a sip of wine. you felt invisible, when you found yourself a seat somewhere in the forest. you were sure that your roommate would ask the teachers to give you a sick day, firmly explaining what happened.
xav: yn,,, im sorry, can we talk it through?
you didn’t reply at all, starting to hold a silent grudge against him, for once, placing yourself before anyone else. until the classes were finished, you were walking around the woods, gathering herbs for your potions, trying to calm down.
throughout your whole life, you believed that your mom has linked your souls together at the very young age, so you could be some sort of anchor for each other, whenever something overwhelmed you, nonetheless it was a double-sided sword. he could mess you up to the point, where you had to take a calming potion (and vice versa), or he could be the one to calm you like no one other could.
so when the evening came, you found yourself dressed up in your favorite pjs, which some time ago belonged to your best friend (now it’s yours, of course), standing at the door leading to bianca’s dorm. two bottles of wine, hidden in the depth of your bag.
“i hope you bought more wine, she drank two and a half bottle last night.” your roommate laughed, arm wrapped around your shoulders as you walked into the room.
the time flew by as you emptied at least three bottles, and you were comfortably laying down on divina’s bed, covered in a blanket junpier brought with her. “he accused me of being the monster today.” you spoke out suddenly, changing the topic back to xavier, who endlessly occupied your mind. “and earlier, enid told me he actually asked wednesday to go with him, she just refused.”
“he really has no shame, has he?” bianca rolled her eyes, taking a seat next to you, and gave you the tightest hug it was only possible. “you know, the thing with wednesday will die down soon, and he’ll come back sooner than you think, he always does.” she planted a soft kiss on your forehead to make her words more believable.
“and if he doesn’t, which is doubtful, then you have us, we can find you someone.” divina joined you on the bed, a big smile spread over her face as she watched you let out a light chuckle. “maybe elliott, the werewolf? he’s pretty hot.”
you were cuddling for the rest of the night, sleeping in the most uncomfortable positions that ever existed, surrounded by blankets, and lots of pillows. after that night, full of drunk confessions, words of reassurance, cuddles and lots of wine, you felt confident enough to face xavier.
it happened sooner than you anticipated, you made your way downstairs to see him, waiting and knocking at the door, pale, and shaken up. “hey, looking for someone?” you asked, his large t-shirt hanging loosely on your body.
“yn, can we talk it through? please.” he asked, begged, watching as you walked into the room, and when you didn’t close the door, he took it as a sign to step. “we?” you scoffed. “let me explain myself.”
“i don’t know if i want to hear it.” you smiled at him, before mumbling something under your breath with a hand above a pack of cookies, changing it to a proper meal. “eat it, then we can talk.” you passed the dish to him, crossing your arms afterwards.
there was a thing about xavier that had always extremely infuriated you, ever since you were children. — he was terrible at taking proper care of himself, usually forgetting to have something to eat with him, whenever he went to his art studio. you’d always cast a spell on some of your snacks, you just bought in the city, to change it into something he liked, and then accidentally step by.
“i- i’m sorry that i made the dance miserable for you.” you leaned your back on your desk, eyebrows furrowed as you listened to him speak. “i really wanted to have fun with you, but i felt the presence of the monster there, near wednesday. it frustrated me to the point, where my mind went completely blank, ruining the dance not only for myself, but also for you.”
“and you’ve never been a pawn for me, you’ve always been present in the back of my mind, you are the factor that keep me sane, you’re the only person that brought so much happiness to my life.” he stood up from his seat, and walked towards you. his hands grabbing yours, softly, knuckles caressing it gently. “i’ve always been aware of my feelings for you, my heart has always belonged to you, and it always will, but i’m scared of losing you.”
“then why didn’t you call me, when i didn’t get back? why did you assume i was the monster? xavier, i beg you, stop trying to mess with my feelings, nothing adds up.” your tone was so quiet that the boy had to get even closer to hear it. “all i wanted was you to spend quality time with you, because you ditched me for wednesday a lot, since she got here, and i get that you can do whatever you want, so i was quiet about it, but even at the event you invited me to go with you?” seeing you so vulnerable made xavier’s heart clutch painfully in his chest. it was all, because of him, and he didn’t like a single bit of it.
“i wish everything was different, really. making you cry was the last thing i wanted to do, and you can hate me all you want, i deserve it for treating you like that.” he let out a long sigh. “but i just want you to know that it’s always been you, my head was always filled with your laughter, and memories of you.”
the closeness between you was overwhelming, taking your last senses from you, the same moment, when your best friend closed the gap, kissing you so delicately. feeling his lips on yours was infatuating, and enchanting, nonetheless, you pulled away, his forehead leaned on yours. “no, no, no. you can’t do that right now, not when i’m so angry with you. give me time, please.”
and with that, he stepped back with a simple nod, his eyes didn’t leave your face even for a second. “i’ll give you as much time as you need, i promise.” were the last words he has spoken before leaving your room.
for the next two weeks, three tops, you two barely exchanged a word, everyone around could sense the tension between, but you weren’t ready to talk to him as you still felt the pain from the dance. however, when wednesday announced that xavier was the hyde, you couldn’t believe it. none of these attacks were thorpe’s doing, and you were positive.
“i’ll curse the hell out of you, if you won’t let me see him.” you hissed at one of the cops, before he leaded you to the cell, where they kept your best friend, and seeing him in a state like that was destroying.
“yn?” shocked was painted on his face as you stepped into the room, a worried expression on yours. “it’s not me, i swear. please, someone set me up, please, you have to believe me.” his broken voice rang out in your ears as you nodded.
“hey, calm down and breathe for me, please.” you asked. “i’ll find a way to get you out of here, okay? everything’s gonna be fine, i’ll figure out whose doing it was, and you’ll be clear.” you sent him a reassuring, warm, and soo loving smile that all he could do was reciprocate it. “then, we can go out on a date, but you owe me so much wine, xavier thorpe that i don’t think you’ll be able to pay me back.”
when your time was up, you hang around the city for a while, thinking how could you get xavier out without breaking any laws that would put you there instead. grabbing a quick coffee from the weathervane, before coming back to the castle with xavier being your only thought.
you visited him thrice over the time, promising that if you don’t find the person who set him up, you’ll start breaking laws and free him within a blink.
you were surrounded by a crowd of people during the evacuation, caused by bringing joseph crackstone back to life. you were responsible for the spell that would keep everyone tranquil, and quiet in a place safe enough that the pilgrim’s actions wouldn’t reach.
and then, you noticed the boy you had feelings for, standing further away, making his way towards the crowd of people, and you couldn’t resist — you ran to him, throwing your hands around his neck, pulling him into a hug. when you backed off a few seconds later, your fingers running through his hair as you smiled so widely. “it’s you.” you chuckled lightly.
you remember everything that happened afterwards — mr. galpin handcuffing his son, the funeral the new principal threw for mrs. weens, brewing a potion for wednesday, so her scar from taking an arrow for bianca could heal faster, the end of the school year, and your date with xavier.
some would say you were reckless for not moving on from the blonde boy, some would bash you for giving him another chance, but you valued your friendship, and his presence in your life. so, it wasn’t a surprise for his housemates to see you at his door at one of the last nights of school year, dressed up in the comfiest clothes you had (which were, surprisingly, his).
you both decided that going out to a restaurant was unnecessary, and you could spend some quality time with each other in his room by eating a strawberry shortcake, drinking wine, and watching movies.
it was around first in the morning, when you finished ten things i hate about you, your head rested on his shoulder as you clung to his arm, being already a little tipsy. “i can’t believe you actually hadn’t watched my favorite movie before! julia stiles was so hot, and for what!” you giggled lightly, turning your head towards him.
“waited till i could watch it with you.” he tugged on a smile, and kissed you so sweetly that you felt like dying from the butterflies in your stomach. your fingers grabbed the collar of his shirt as he pulled you even closer, sitting you on his lips. “i love you.” xavier whispered in between the kisses, making your stomach burn on the inside.
it felt like a dream — to be kissed by a boy you pinned over so long, to have his hands on your waist, and hickies made by him on your neck, to be loved by him. even if it was a dream, the last thing you wanted was to wake up.

distracted, xavier thorpe
xavier thorpe x reader
summary: xavier couldn’t help but do what he wants to do
warnings: it’s literally just fluff, use of baby?
a/n: first fic, please be nice. Apologies for any grammer mistakes oops
☆
You could feel his eyes on you every now and then, alternating between his homework that he held up with his hand and you who’s sitting across from him. You didn’t bother to look up, putting all your focus on the essay you had to write as homework.
The library was quiet, only the sound of you and Xavier’s pen scribbling on paper and the occasional sniffing. You and Xavier would always go to the library to finish up the homework you two have for the day. It was your routine even before you and him started dating.
Unfortunately, Xavier isn’t the most responsible student. He would often goof around, trying to distract you and would do anything but his homework.
Today was no different.
“And… done!” You sighed, dropping your pen onto the table and leaning back against the chair. You let your eyes relax for a moment before peeking to see Xavier still focused on his homework. “Are you almost done?”
He bit his bottom lip, ignoring your question, too wrapped up in his work to answer you.
“Maybe we can swap our essays and spot if there’s any mistakes?” You asked, pursing your lips as you wait for Xaviers response.
He hummed absentmindedly, his eyes never leaving his notebook. You smiled, admiring your boyfriends pretty features when he concentrates. You were proud to see that he was actually putting in effort on his work.
Xavier finally stopped writing, placing his pencil down and picking up his notebook and admired it before giving himself a content nod.
You bounce eagerly, “Can I read yours?”
His eyes finally met yours, a hint of mischievousness behind those eyes. He smirked, clearing his throat as he sat up straight and swapped notebooks with you.
You were practically gleaming with excitement, excited to read his essay and actually feel like you have a real study partner to learn and point out mistakes with.
Until your eyes landed on his notebook.
Your smile has never dropped so fast. Your shoulders dropping, and you couldn’t contain the gasp that left your mouth.
A snicker came from the man you were about to murder.
“Xavier Thorpe I swear to fucking god—“
“—I love you, baby please—“
“—All this time I thought you were writing the essay—“
“—You’re so pretty I couldn’t help it—“
“—And you were drawing instead?!”
You stared at him incredulously, your nose flaring at him due to how pissed off you were. He was enjoying this, his cocky smile still plastered on his face as he laughed at your reaction.
“I’m sorry, baby. In my defence, I did try to write the essay. I just got distracted…” Xavier said, his hands holding yours as his thumbs rubbed your hands softly.
You blinked at him, sighing as you look down at his notebook to see at the top right hand corner he did wrote a few words before giving up.
“As much as I want to scream at you right now, this drawing is beautiful,” you sighed with a small smile, studying his artwork.
It was a drawing of you reading your textbook, you nose scrunched and your hair a mess. He managed to enhance your best features, capturing every little detail about you. He was truly talented.
“Thank you. Please don’t be mad, i’ll start on the essay right now,” he said softly, ensuring you aren’t upset with him.
You playfully rolled your eyes at him, sighing loudly. “You better do it or no cuddles for you tonight.”
You ignored his protests as you get up from your seat to find a book to keep you company. Safe to say Xavier was diligently doing his work with a determined face, and within thirty minutes he was done and started begging you for a hug and a kiss.

to keep thy young
summary | you make a joke at xavier who just gets more and more confused
pairing | xavier thorpe x fem!witch!reader
warning | fluff, humor, mentions of virginity, mentions of blood
word count | 435
Your nose was deep into your spell book, looking up occasionally to your caldron, Xavier hearing you mutter something under your breath before going back to reading.
Xavier was used to it whenever he came to your room, unless it was an emergency, you’d be into your witchy powers as Xavier would like to call it.
The two of you had an odd friendship, while you kept your nose in a book, in the library whenever you had the free time, while Xavier kept up with his art, attending the Nightshades, meeting you for the first time in front of the Poe Statue.
“Xavier.” You called out to him. It was a shock that he saw you out so late and that neither of you hadn’t been caught. “I need a favor from you.”
“Uh.” He muttered, feeling conflicted.
“I know about the secret library, and I need to get in.” You went straight to the point. Sharing a few classes with him was probably the most you knew of him, and the drama that went around Nevermore when he and Bianca broke up.
Xavier was enchanted when he first met you, he always thought you held a certain aura around you, and you were more beautiful than he could ever imagine, there was no way he could say no.
Meeting that fateful day was when your blooming friendship developed, something Xavier dreaded because he wanted to be so much more than friends.
Hearing a loud groan from you, Xavier pulled out one of his headphones. “You okay?”
Sighing, you turned around looking at your best friend dead in the eye, not wanting a second, “Are you a virgin?”
Stunned, Xavier was shocked what you asked him, completely off guard. “Um.” He licked his lips, “No.”
“Great.” You muttered under your breath, rolling your eyes, “Guess I could go find Eugune.”
“Why do you want to know?” After you mentioning Eugune’s name Xavier was just more confused.
“I need the blood of a male virgin.” You shrugged, “I need to keep myself young, wrinkles are starting to show.”
Xavier was to the point beyond confusion, starting to gear towards delusion. “What the fuck.”
Hearing you laugh, Xavier watched as you finally turned around to face him. “I’m joking.”
Even hearing you say that, he still couldn’t believe you. “It’s not a youth potion, I’m making a wolfsbane remedy, just wanted to see your reaction.”
Xavier just stared at you, starting to laugh quietly with you. “Do any of your spells or potions ask for the blood of a virgin.”
“Oh yeah.” You grinned, “Tons.”

Word Count: 2,032
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At times I wished I had the same emotionless expression as my “cousin.” One might ask why I put air quotes around the word, it’ simple.
Her uncle Fester happened to stumble upon myself and mother’s violin when I was merely three months old during one of his “adventures”.
As I previously said, I wish I could copy her expression, especially now. You slam your journal shut, turning to look at your clock.
You grab your jacket and exit the room, making your way towards Xavier’s art shed. Your mind is blank but thoughts float around your mind, you wonder what it is he wanted to talk to you about.
With Wednesday firmly believing that he is the hyde, it makes you more weary of being alone with him… in the woods but if you can talk to him in his safe space so he doesn’t “totally freak out” as Enid would say, you believe it would do you good.
“Do you believe me?” Xavier spins around to look at you.
You gulp, this is not where you saw this going right after entering the shed. “I don’t- I don’t know,” you say, giving him your honest answer.
“What do you mean you don’t know? It’s either you believe that I’m not the monster or you agree with your cousin,” he hisses out the word you’ve grown accustomed to calling the pigtailed girl.
You ignore his gaze and opt to look at the floor. “I- I,” the thought you had written down in your journal crosses your mind.
“I don’t think you’d do all these things, but you have to admit the evidence she has does make it highly possible for you to be the hyde.”
He furrows his brows, face slowly becoming more void of emotion. “If you really believe that I’m the monster then why are you here?”
You raise your head. “I- I needed to see it for myself.”
“See what?” He asks with a tired tone.
“I- what’s that?” You point over to the sketchbook with a flower bookmark sticking out of it.
“That- that’s nothing. Why is that important now?” He’d never admit it out loud, but he was always impressed with how your attention could be drawn elsewhere within a second, even if it isn’t the most appropriate time for this to happen.
You ignore him and walk over towards it, opening the page to find a drawing of yourself playing your deceased mothers’ violin. You reach for the flower and find yourself thrown into a vision.
How odd, Wednesday’s the one who usually experiences these, at least from what you can remember. It is also weird how whenever she would have one, you would pass out.
Eugene’s screams flood your mind.
The cave where the monster hides is on fire.
The hyde’s wide and red rimmed eyes.
Red boots… red boots?
-
You wake up, blinking as your eyes adjust to the moonlit room. “How did I get here?”
The numerous footsteps echoing throughout the hallway draw you out of bed.
You open the door and listen to the scared and panicked shrieks of the other students, rushing over towards the railing you find the red aura of the siren song on the lower floors.
Crackstone.
Your head snaps over towards the side. You furrow your brows at the sight of a pale dressed Wednesday, not your cousin but- “Goody?”
She nods. “You must help her.”
“Help who?”
“The key.”
You remember the pigtailed girl mentioning this to you, you know exactly who she’s referring to. “Where is she?”
“I am going to her now, but you must guide her.”
“Guide her? Guide her how?”
“His black heart will end it… I must go to her now.” She starts to disappear.
“No, Goody. Wait!” You sigh and look down.
Bianca’s head snaps up.
You block her song and search for a window. At times like this, you’re happy you’ve climbed the walls of the school.
-
You stand on the edge of the roof just before the upper hallway where you can see Bianca and a few others. You don’t feel good, something’s going on with the black-haired girl, the urge to scream is on the tip of your tongue but you fight it as you protect the students.
You place a temporary shield around the area, preventing the fire from reaching any of the students and jump down. “Crackstone!”
He turns to you, the evil look in his eye should send shivers down your spine but you don’t let it, not wanting him to harm anyone.
“Another one. How nice.” The revived Joseph Crackstone taunts you.
“Don’t you think this is a bit much?”
He aims his magical staff at you, luckily you are able to block it. “I am ridding the earth of you abominations!”
“You’re an abomination too!”
“Lies!”
“Your descendant raised you, brought you back from the dead!”
You spin around, avoiding his magic. “You have magic! You are now the very thing you despise yourself! How can you get rid of what keeps your heart beating at this very moment!”
“I am doing what should have been done years ago.”
“You’re going to die, and your magic will not be able to save you.” You raise your hand, trying to telepathically pull the staff away from him.
“Stay away from her.”
Why does this voice sound so familiar?
The arrow flies past your head, in front of the resurrected man, only for him to use his magic and flip it.
You cannot let it hit him or anyone else and put yourself before him to stop it. You spin around, landing on your back unable to catch your breath.
Xavier runs towards you, lifting your upper body off the ground.
“Get the others out of here,” you tell him once you can breathe again.
“What?” He furrows his brows, mouth curling in disbelief.
“You need to get the other students out of here. We cannot lose anyone else.”
“I don’t-”
“I have to help her,” you whisper.
He helps you up, “I don’t like this idea.”
“Good thing,” you snap the arrow and chuck it onto the ground. “You aren’t going to be here to see the rest of it… be careful.”
“You, too.” You push him away when you sense Joseph aiming the damn staff at you.
You stand beside Wednesday. “We have to aim for his-”
“Heart, yes,” she cuts you off. “I didn’t realize you were aware.”
“Let’s say, seeing the dead does have its perks at times. I expect no tears from you at my funeral.”
“Don’t-”
Xavier turns at her shout, his heart drops.
You run at him as Bianca stabs the man in the back. You rub your hands together, thankful for Fester teaching you how to use his trick now more than ever. You hold him in place and call out for her. “Now, Wednesday!”
She lifts the sword and stabs him in his black heart.
You can’t remove your hands from him, not until he fully disappears even then you fall, eyes closing.
The hands on your shoulders and whoever’s attempting to do CPR bring you out of your quick reenergize nap.
You open your eyes and give three a tired smile.
The artist helps you sit up and continues to hold you even as Wednesday wraps her arms around you.
You smile and kiss the top of her head, letting her know it’s over (you hope, unless Nevermore isn’t done with you all).
She forces herself off you, letting Bianca and Xavier help you up.
You nod to the siren. “Let’s go find the others.”
-
The four of you walk out of the school, searching for the waiting party.
You lean against the boy throughout the entire walk.
He hasn’t said a word to you, and you don’t know what you could say to him other than, “I’m sorry.”
Enid rushes over to hug your cousin, giving you a moment to talk to him.
“Why are you sorry?”
“I believed you were the very thing that would terrorize the school when I shouldn’t have. I should have followed my heart.”
“I think I can forgive you. I mean, you did take an arrow to the shoulder for me.”
“And I would do it again if it meant I had your trust.”
He shakes his head, “I wouldn’t want you to get hurt over my trust.”
“I should have listened to you.”
The corner of his lip’s tugs upward, “yeah, maybe. But now that you’ve saved the school, I think I can understand where you were coming from.”
“No, don’t do that.”
“What?”
“Don’t just brush it off, I know what I did wasn’t the nicest or most respectful thing to do when I’ve known you and have been your friend for three years. I know you; I have for years, and I shouldn’t have let someone else’s theories get into my head to ruin that trust.”
He nods, tucking the hair blocking his view behind his ear. “I’ll take that into consideration.”
Your lips twitch, “that’s all I ask.”
Enid rushes over to you, hugging you not nearly as tightly as your cousin but enough to let you know how much she cares about you.
-
You leave Wednesday to finish her novel while Thing finishes packing for her. You wonder around, waiting until it’s time to leave.
“The feeling of eyes on me brings a chill up my spine and not in the fun way,” you think. “That would be a good thought to right down when I return to my room.”
You turn, facing the stairs to find him watching you which may be creepy to some, but you find it to be rather sweet.
He waves and leans against the railing.
You walk up the stairs, wanting to talk to him before your dragged out of here. “Are your parents coming to pick you up?”
He shrugs, “probably not… I got you something.”
“Really?” You raise a brow.
“It’s not much but it’ll be faster than the letters." He lifts the lid off the box, showing you your new phone.
“Don’t expect a call,” you inform him, not wanting to hurt his feeling. You must really care about him if you’re taking his feelings into consideration.
“I’m not.”
You squint your eyes at him, “seems you know me well.”
“That and,” he tucks his hair behind his ears. “I know you don’t like new things… at least, until you get the hang of them.”
“I guess we’ll have to see about this then.”
“I believe in you.”
“I trust that you’ll have a normal summer?”
“It might be fun if I get a phone call.”
“Don’t push it.”
He smiles, having a feeling that you’ll learn to use the phone faster to call him. “How’s your shoulder?”
“Fine. I’ve decided to let it heal on its own.”
“No magic?”
“I believe it would be wise to save my energy. I have a feeling we’re just getting started with Nevermore and all it has to offer.” You take the phone out of the box and hold it. “How do you use this dark box you call a phone?”
He chuckles, taking it from you, “why are you calling it a dark box exactly?”
“It’s painfully obvious.”
“Alright, I’ll give you that. I already programmed my phone number in here. What exactly you were looking for?”
“I want to send you my aunt Morticia and Uncle Gomez’ address. I will be staying with Wednesday and her family this summer; we believe it would be wise if we stay together.”
“Okay,” he shows you how to use the phone.
“I cannot guarantee I’ll be able to remember all of this.”
“As long as you can turn it on and remember to charge it, you’ll be alright,” he assures you.
“Do you know if you’re ability can work over the phone?”
He shrugs. “I’ve never tried before.”
“Perhaps it could be our summer activity?”
He nods, not at all hiding his smile when you said, “our activity”. It seems as though there’s a chance for him to ask you out in the near future. “Maybe.”

Defending. (x.t)
PART ONE OF TWO
Pairing: Xavier Thorpe x Girlfriend!Reader
Summary: wednesday tells you about her suspicions about xavier but you come to his defense and are determined to find proof to prove her wrong
Warnings: mentions of making a small cut, very little like a drop of blood, hydes? (those ugly mfs) NOT PROOFREAD
a/n: this is going to be in two parts, but part two will be posted late 12/1 or early 12/2 depending on when i finish writing it! it's basically a smut fic for part two which is why i decided to split it up in case people are not comfortable with it!
masterlist - part two
“Now, this is too far,” you said to Wednesday as she told you about her suspicions about Xavier being the monster.
“All the evidence points to him.”
“Wednesday, it’s not him.”
“You’re only saying that because you’re in a relationship with him,” the girl argued back with her.
“No shit, Wednesday. I know him enough to know he’s not. You think I wouldn’t notice by now if he were going around town killing people?”
“You’re letting this blind your judgment,” Wednesday stated.
“NEWS FLASH WEDNESDAY HE’S NOT THE HYDE! WOULD IT KILL YOU THINK FOR ANYONE BUT YOURSELF?!” you yelled at the girl who just raised her eyebrows back at you.
“What are you going to do when you find out he is?”
“Nothing,” you answered softly you could feel a headache coming from yelling, “There’s nothing to find out.” You walked back inside from the balcony and exited the room before you felt like destroying anything, and Enid would get mad at the mess later.
You wandered around the school before you came upon the statute of Edgar Allen Poe. You sat down near the statute wanting to clear your mind for a second before you looked up and realized the mark beneath the book he was holding. You tried to recall what your mom would always tell you as a kid about the Nightshade Society.
“He was notorious for his riddles. For it was not one alone, but each line was individual. One to remember is, ‘The answer will give a sharp cracking sound,’ that will help you once you find it,” was something she always mentioned when she talked about Nevermore.
“A sharp cracking sound,” you repeated as you stood from your spot and it clicked, or more so snapped into place. You raised your right arm and snapped two times. “Thank you, Nightshade Society.”
You walked down the staircase into the dimly lit library. The portraits that hung on the wall of old members caught your eye as you looked about the room. At the end of the portraits you find your parents, they tell you to make a name for yourself, but how could you live up to them?
“You put that bag over my head, I will choke you with that very rope in your hands,” you warned the people who stood behind you as you looked for your mom’s diary knowing that would be the only thing you could find answers in. “You should know to not mess with a witch with heightened senses.”
“Oh, come on, Y/n, we were just trying to have fun,” Kent joked causing the other to mutter in agreement.
“I WASN’T GOING TO DO ANYTHING I SWEAR,” Xavier yelped once he notice it was you and threw the bag in his hands to Ajax.
“Someone’s in the dog house tonight…” Yoko teased. Kent and a couple of the others gave a couple howls joining in the joke.
“You know Xavier you could’ve told me about this,” you said as you finally found your mother’s diary.
“Babe, if I could, I would’ve-”
“He’s sworn to secrecy,” Bianca pointed out as she gave you a dirty look when you walked to a desk with the diary in your arms.
You pulled it out to see she sealed it with magic though not any kind of magic, blood magic. “My family was a part of the Nightshades long before you, although I thought it to be disbanded.”
“Yeah, the group kind of lost its charter 30 years ago after some normie kid died,” Xavier explained which answered your thoughts as he walked up to you noticing that you were looking for something.
“But we have a lot of wealthy alumni, so Weems looks the other way as long as nobody makes any waves,” Yoko added on.
“What are you looking for anyways?” Xavier questioned you.
“If you’re trying to open your mom’s diary, you can’t,” Bianca told you cockingly.
“Maybe you can’t,” you retorted just when you noticed a letter opener sitting at the corner of the table.
You reached over and grabbed it seeing that it had a sharp edge. You noticed from your peripheral vision that the group was crowding around you to see what you were doing. Xavier was right next to you with his attention on the knife you held in your hand. You lifted your right hand over the book and took the knife to your palm just before it touched your skin you heard shouts from around the room.
“Y/N!”
“Woah, girl, no need to prove a point.”
“No need for bloodshed-”
“What are you doing?!”
“No, no, no, no, absolutely not,” you heard Xavier say as he tried to grab for the knife, but it was too late. “Oh my god, only you. Literally, you’re the only one who would do this.”
You sliced the inside of your palm and allowed for the knife to drop down onto the table as you felt the sting in your palm. You closed your fist and put it directly above the lock on the book. You felt the blood sweep down near the bottom of your fist before it dropped down into the lock.
“Blood magic?” Yoko asked in amazement when she saw the lock unlatch and you opened to the front page that held your mom’s portrait along with her signature.
“Only the very best for mother dearest,” you remark sarcastically.
“That explains a lot!” Kent said from behind as Xavier looked around for a first aid kit. “Bianca was trying to open that months ago and nothing would work!” right as the words left his mouth, Bianca smacked him in the back of the head causing him to groan in pain, “Well, ow.”
When Xavier finally found a first aid kit that looked like it could be decades old, he went back to your side and held out his palm to you. Putting your sliced palm in his hand without him even having to ask you.
“I couldn’t find any actual alcohol to disinfect it, so vodka will have to do,” he unscrewed the bottle with one hand and looked back into your eyes before you gave him a slight nod telling him it was okay for him to do it. “This might sting.”
“Oh shit, I can’t watch,” Ajax gagged as the vodka was poured onto your palm and the blood washed away with it.
“Makes the both of us,” another member said.
“Stop being babies, people would think you’re the one with the cut palm,” you told them off as taking in the pain with no reaction. “At least I have a hot doctor patching me up,” you smirked.
“Only for you,” Xavier muttered as he focused on wrapping the bandage around your hand. At this point, almost all the members already left not wanting to see what you and Xavier get up to.
“Thanks, babe,” giving him a kiss on the cheek before returning your attention back to your mother’s diary.
“What was so important that you have to look into your mom’s diary?” he asked you. “You’re looking for answers, but for what?”
“Any information about hydes.”
“That’s the monster, Wednesday was talking about right?”
“The same one she believes you to be, yes.” you look up from the diary to see his confused expression.
“Wait, me?” he wondered aloud.
“I told her it wasn’t you though, but that girl is the most stubborn person I have ever met,” you informed him taking one of his hands in your non-injured one to give it a tight squeeze in reassurance. “You have to be careful, I know you’re not the Hyde, but she is going to do everything she can to prove her point.”
“I love you.” he blurted out to you. “You could’ve easily believed her, but you didn’t.”
“I know you, Xavier. There’s no damn way in hell, I’m going to let you be falsely accused for something you so obviously are not,” you stated. “And, I love you, that’s why I’m trying to see if my mother knew anything about Hydes during her time here,” you smiled at him.
You turned to put the diary back onto the desk as you hurriedly flipped through the pages scanning for any kind of information on the damn monster. You were about to turn to another page just before you noticed a name you’ve heard of before. Francois Sylvanne. Xavier moved to stand behind you leaning over your shoulder to read the diary as well. He placed his hands on your hips to steady himself causing you to lean back into him.
“Seems like Wednesday’s little boy toy just got way more interesting,” you pointed to the name on the page for Xavier to read.
“Who is she?”
“His mother. The same one he goes to therapy for, I heard she died a while back, and apparently the sheriff isn’t only bad at his job but bad at parenting too,” you explained as you read more of your mom’s writing.
There’s something about this girl. She keeps to herself. Quiet. Distance. Truly an Outcast. I have a feeling something is going on with her or at least something will. I’m going to keep a close eye on her, but she is graduating this year.
“Weird, your mom always has good intuition, I wonder if she’s right about this one too,” Xavier said after he read your mother’s entry.
You flipped through more pages of the book and found nothing. You looked at every line on the pages, and your mother never mentioned her once again. It wasn’t until you got to the last page of the diary to see a quite messier version of your mother’s writing.
THAT GIRL IS A HYDE. FRANCOIS IS A HYDE. HIDDEN AWAY WITH A NORMIE IN THE TOWN.
“No,” you gaped as you turned to see nothing more and reached the end of the book.
“Do you think Tyler’s the Hyde?” he whispered into your ear.
“It’s the only way. It makes sense too,” you claimed, “But the question is why?”

omg, yes of course! thanks for the request 🤍
ajax petropolus x shy!witch!reader — fluff
SPELLS AND LOVE <3
The sky was completely cloudy, you could feel the winter coming. Your favorite season of the year. You watched the wind hitting the trees, some leaves falling with the intensity of the wind, a white and furry rabbit jumping fast in the middle of the forest. Every part of your body were almost begging you to go connect with nature. The only problem is that you felt like nature didn't want to connect with you.
"Miss y/l/n..." you heard a low voice in the back of your head. How wonderful it would be to make your spells work again! "Miss y//l/n-" the voice now sounded louder on your left side. You jumped out of your chair when you saw Weems in Professor Tornhill's class. "Is everything okay, miss?"
"Yes" all students were looking directly at you. Oh! How embarassing! "Yes, ma'am."
"Have you solved your little witch problem, dear?" you hated it when she called you dear, because she wanted to call you anything but dear. The woman seemed to feel sorry for you and it sucked.
You were the only witch in Nevermore who had lost all of your gifts and you weren’t sure why. It seemed that your spirituality wasn’t connected with you, making it impossible for you to make potions and spells. You followed every single rule: you didn't eat meat, you always did meditations and rituals with other witches, but it just didn't work!
"I'm in the process" you faked a smile, wanting that class to end soon, to fianlly be alone without anyone looking at you and not asking themselves what your little problem would be.
Weems smiled, apologized to Tornhill for the interruption. “Just wanted to make sure” she whispered and left the class.
As soon as the lesson was over, you ran into the middle of the forest, trying to start with the simplest spell - which witches and wizards learn in childhood. You felt a spark leave your body, but when you opened your eye, nothing had happened. Ughhhh.
You didn't even notice when night came. The stars and the full moon were already illuminating your head and you decided to go back to your dorm again. You thought you were trying so hard and barely resting... so the best way would be to get a good night's sleep and try again in the morning.
But at the door of your dorm, a tall boy with a cap on his head was there. You cracked a smile when his back was still turned. You found Ajax Petropolus so interesting. He was a gorgon, how that wouldn’t be interesting. "Are you looking for Yoko?" you asked taking the key out of your purse. "She's not here today..." the boy gave a shy laugh and scratched his neck.
"Actually, I wanted to talk to you... I just wanted to make sure you're okay." What? "What happened in Tornhill's class today... you seemed very distant."
You and Ajax were friends, but you didn't know you were so close to make him care if you were okay or not. In fact, you had a hard time knowing who your friends really were. Never gave much opening for someone to approach. Not because you have emotional blocks, but because of you getting shy every time someone talked to you. But you felt comfortable with Ajax. He was chill and didn’t force you to do anything. If you two were quiet all day long, it wouldn’t be uncomfortable.
"Oh, I'm fine, yes" you opened the door, left your scarf on the bed, took off your coat and sat at the desk. The boy followed you into the room and closed the door behind him. "Thanks for asking... but you don't have to mind. I'm just running errands..."
"You're not able to do spells, are you? Yoko told me" Thanks, Yoko. "I'm not, but that's fine!” you opened a fake smile, which he clearly noticed. “Well, I'm sure you have more interesting things to do right now" he sat down on your bed.
"I actually have something to give you" the boy put his hand inside his pants pocket and pulled out something very thin and shiny with a pendant. You could recognize any crystal that were in front of you and it was a citrine. "I looked it up in library books and it says that this crystal raises the vibration of the Solar Plexus Chakra, taking away insecurity and fear."
Wow. Just wow. He literally searched for Chakras to give you a crystal? Oh. My. God.
"And I'm fine staying here with you, we can do whatever you want. Just to clear you mind... I mean- If you want, of course." he waited for you to answer, with a shy smile on his face, but you were disoriented. Did Ajax like you? In the same way that you liked him?
“Of course!” the boy smiled. “Actually, I wanted to cook today... I have a little tradition of baking cookies every time winter comes... I'd love to have your company." he nodded.
“Can I?” he shook the necklace on his hands and you turned your back and tied your hair so he could put it on you. His hands were cold, making your neck shiver at the touch.
The other day, you woke up early and saw Ajax sleeping on Yoko’s bed. He looked like a baby sleeping, hugging a pillow and all shrunken. You smiled with that view and tried to wake him up.
“Oh my god! I feel asleep here. I’m sorry” he looked confused.
“There’s no problem! It was actually really good having your company here” you said holding a glass of tea and giving him the cookies you two baked last night.
“Ready to try again?” you nodded.
You two went to the forest to test another spell. The boy sat next to you, watching you spread out the ingredients you needed to use to prepare yourself for making spells. "If you keep staring at me, I won't be able to concentrate!"
"i'm not staring at you, i'm admiring you." you felt your cheeks burn. "I'm here to support you. I know you can do it" he squeezed your hand and you closed your eyes to concentrate. Ajax didn’t took his hands away from yours and you could feel some kind of peace that you didn’t in years.
When you concentrated on the noise of the trees, the birds whistling around you, and the way Ajax was breathing in a calm way, squeezing your hands a little bit, you felt an incredible energy come over you. The nature was finally connecting with you, a light filled your body, from head to toe.
"Wow" you heard the boy next to you whisper and then you opened your eyes to see that a bright purple light was coming out of you. You had made it.
An uncontrollable laugh came out of your mouth and you hugged Ajax without thinking twice. "Thank you so much, Aj."
"Oh, darling, you did this by yourself."

Xavier Thorpe x Witch Reader
Request: „Hi! I was wondering if you could write a Xavier Thorpe x fem. reader where the reader is a new student at nevermore and sits next to Xavier in Mrs. Thornhills class and he tries to impress her with his powers (like in the scene where he made the spider come to life)‟
A/N: Request from anon. I changed one thing about the reader skills/ powers. It's not my best work but as always I hope you all still gonna like it.
English is not my native language so I am sorry for any mistakes.
She felt unwanted eyes on her, again.
However, despite the fact that the situation repeated itself since she set foot in a new school, each time she chose to ignore it. She knew who the irises following her every move belonged to anyway, so she quickened her pace to disappear from their radar, as she had done many times before.
When she found a secluded corner, she leaned against it, sighing. She'd only been here a week and she'd had enough.
Her father told her about possibilities and freedom, oh how easily she was outsmarted by him. Now she was stuck in a strange place, far from home, in a school for "people like her". However, she soon found out that this term was not entirely true.
Nevermore Academy was supposed to be something of a safe oasis for children who were extraordinary, in the worst sense of the word. But Y/n quickly noticed that the teenagers weren't much different from normal people, well, except for the hidden talents they'd inherited. Girl was one of them.
Being the ancestor of one of Salem's oldest witches had its advantages and disadvantages, although she saw more negatives than positives. That's why she hid her abilities.
-Y/n! - girl's voice called her.
The teenager closed her eyes, only to open them after a moment and turn around to look at the well-known blonde.
-Enid -replied the witch, tilting her head gently to the side, in a silent act announcing that she ,could continue.
-I was looking for you- she replied, smile did not come out of her face - Botany classes will start soon, and you are hiding.
Y/n sometimes wondered how a person could be so happy and carefree. But she was never able to come up with a satisfactory answer.
-Then it's better that they don't wait for us - she said with a slight, almost imperceptible smile, going with the werewolf to class.
Her steps, although slow, still led her to her goal at a much faster pace than she would like. Entering the great conservatory, without stopping, she went to the designated place.
Xavier was already sitting in his seat, lost in his notebook, sketching something Y/n couldn't see. Only when she sat next to him in the field of vision appeared the image of a black spider. Before the boy could see that she was looking his way, her head quickly turned to the desk, making it look like he was looking at her, not the other way around.
It might sound strange, even scary, but the brunette liked to look at her, especially when the teenager was so close to him. Every detail on her face was much clearer then. Her thick and long eyelashes, behind which beautiful irises were hidden, full lips or the flash of her thick hair, which seemed to be soft as silk from a distance. Xavier noticed all this, and day by day he became more and more addicted.
Before he knew it, he was smitten with her, and as if sensing it, she began to run away from him. Each step she took was further away from him, which meant that he was never able to catch her, or talk to her, even for a moment.
When Y/n's eyes finally rested on him, he responded by pushing the notebook towards her. Her brow furrowed in consternation, and he merely smiled at her, extending his hand to hover over the drawing. After a while, the animal came out of the paper, leaving only a gray halo behind. The arthropod moved a few steps. The witch did not let him out of her sight.
-I doubt Y/n will be impressed by your tricks, Mr. Thorpe - said Mrs. Thornhill unexpectedly, when she came to class.
-Admit that you're a little impressed - the green-eyed boy muttered.
The girl didn't answer for a long moment, too focused on the spider. Shivers involuntarily passed over her body and before she could've said something, the animated drawing burst into flames. Most of the students looked at her with a mixture of admiration and surprise, but she didn't care. Holding her hands, she occasionally ran her long fingernails over the rings to distract herself from the outside world.
Xavier cursed under his breath, he thought he would impress her, but all he did was make her hide even more.
It was nighttime when Y/n received an unexpected message.
With the end of class, she locked herself in her room, content to finally be able to breathe fully. Dressed and refreshed, she spent time on the floor, drowning in the books of witchcraft that she read several times before. The sound of music filled the room as well as the sound of her own voice as she hummed along with the band's lead singer.
Only a quiet but strong blow pulled her out of her bubble.
Standing up, she walked over to a large, tall window. At first glance, everything seemed normal, but when her eyes began to wander, a black cat appeared in the field of her vision, or rather its sketch.
The teenager sighed and opened the window. Curious about the explanations. There was a card in the animal's mouth and an invitation on the paper.
-Meet me at nine o'clock by the fountain - she recited, frowning slightly in thought ,knowing exactly who the sender was.
Thinking, she stared at the landscape outside the window, then she shifted her irises to the cat, who was still waiting, sitting on the windowsill. Involuntarily, she raised her hand and stroked his ear, as if hoping that it would feel something, even though it was only a drawing.
Before she could think carefully about her decision, her legs led her towards the exit. Right underneath the stone construction.
Xavier was already waiting for her. Her school uniform had been replaced with a long-sleeved black mid-thigh dress and leather boots. The boy didn't know what to think, it was the first time he saw the teenage witch in something else, in something close to her comfort zone.
-You really came - he remarked, not hiding the surprise in his voice.
-I really came - she replied, clasping her hands behind her - Your form of invitation was quite interesting. I was wondering if you matched the cat to my species or if it was just a coincidence.
-Yes...I mean no - brunette tangled up in words, pushing himself away from the fountain to approach Y/n - Your reaction to my previous drawing got me thinking. I preferred to create something that you should like this time.
-I'm just not a fan of small, crawling creatures. But I appreciate your gesture - she said honestly, which made Xavier smile.
-I'm glad to hear that - he replied, looking at the girl.
-What is the reason for your invitation? - she asked suddenly.
-I wanted to apologize. I guess you didn't want to show off your abilities - he remarked, scratching the back of his neck.
The gaze of the teenager, who was directed at the fountain near them, moved to the green-eyed boy.
-You have no reason to apologize - she announced -It was my instinct that worked the way it did - she added before taking a few steps back so she could turn freely and head back to the dorm.
-Wait! - Thorpe called her, grabbing her wrist, and she stopped, looking at him with furrowed brows -Would you like to go for a walk?- he asked with a trace of hope in his voice.
The girl shifted her gaze to the building behind her, then back to the tall teenager in front of her, who was awaiting for her response. Y/n nodded with a slight smile.
-I would love to - she said, nodding imperceptibly in confirmation.
The two of them moved forward. The witch put all her trust in the hands of Xavier, who led them to a place known only to him. Her heart was beating hard from the adrenaline, and surprisingly, she welcomed it. She hadn't had so much fun in a long time, even if it was just sneaking through school property.
Eventually they came to something that looked like a shed. Y/n involuntarily approached the body of her companion, looking curiously at the wooden building. When the brunette turned his head to check the girl's condition, he found her close to him, closer than he expected. Satisfied, he lowered his head to be level with her ear.
-This is my studio - he confessed, as if proud of this fact - I cleaned it, so Weems let me use it.
-We are alone - the girl noticed, approaching his face, which involuntarily covered with a blush - You don't have to whisper - she added, then moved away, walking towards the entrance.
Thorpe followed her with his eyes until she had disappeared through the door, then he moved on, quickening his pace so that the girl wouldn't wait. When he entered, Y/n looked around intrigued, but kept her hands to herself, watching from a distance.
-You have talent - she admitted after a long moment.
-Thanks - he said, following her like a shadow. -This is my safe space. Art makes me relax - he added, standing behind her as she paused at another of the many paintings.
-It must be nice to have your own sanctuary - the teenager said - I often dream of something like this, that wouldn't be my dorm room. Life at Nevermore can be...overwhelming - she confessed, rubbing her hands together in comfort.
-Really?- he asked, eager to hear more, happy to finally be able to talk to the object of his interest.
-Yhm- muttered the witch -That's quite an interesting paradox. An outcast feels like an outcast in a school for outcasts - she noticed, looking at him out of the corner of her eye, the boy made her feel surprisingly better, surprisingly calmer.
-You can always talk to me if you want - Xavier said, shrugging -I don't bite.
-I appreciate it - she replied, not sure what else to add.
When silence fell between the two, Y/n realized how close they were, how intimate the situation seemed, and the brunette slowly began to think the same, his green eyes not even for a moment stopping looking at the face in front of him.
Her eyes wandered over the boy's face, trying to find a starting point. Her slightly parted lips as well as the smell of lavender and gooseberry did not help Thorpe concentrate. Only the girl's frown woke him up from his trance.
Following her gaze, the teenager met an image, but not just any image. The canvas depicted a girl sitting on one of the stone benches, lost in thought, her face calm and her eyes distant. There was a sheet next to the easel, which must have been moved by a gust of wind when Y/n stepped inside.
-It's...me - she whispered in shock, walking towards her likeness.
-The first day, I couldn't forget you. So I started painting - he tried to explain, keeping his voice stoic -You surrounded yourself with this mysterious aura that drew me in even more. You were different from the rest...I talk nonsense - he muttered, closing his eyes.
The girl turned to face Xavier. Then , she unexpectedly put her hand around him, standing on her fingers to kiss the corner of his mouth.
-I quite like your nonsense - she confessed ,almost brushing his lips because of the closeness of their faces.
Xavier took her confession as a signal to action. Placing his hands on the witch's waist, he slowly brushed her lips, and seeing no objection, he did it again, and again, and again.
They said romance was dead and Y/n had to agree. But the electrifying touch of the boy's hand, the warmth of his lips, and the addictive scent that surrounded him, made her not disappointed by the death of romanticism. She preferred the version where she could’ve indulge her feelings without having to play cat and mouse.
And now that she had tasted the forbidden fruit, she was not going to stop.
Neither did he.

Hey, I'm thinking about writing a fanfic inspired by Netflix's Wednesday and Practical magic. But I can't decide whether to use Ajax Petropolus or Xavier Thorpe as the love interest. Any ideas?? Also, anyone want to be on the taglist?

OK an Xavier x reader where the reader is a witch and her mom attended Nevermore and was Bestfriends with Morticia addams and bc of that reader and Wednesday were raised together and are basically eachothers Bestfriend but the readers mom died and her dad is a horror author so alot of ppl in nevermore know abt it him kinda similar to how Xaviers dad is famous (except readers dad rlly cares abt her)
Anyways reader is a bit shy buts nice and friendly which you don't expect from Wednesdays bestfriend. Anyways her and Xavier both like eachother but reader is too shy to talk to him as he's her first real crush so she mostly ignores him making him think reader doesn't like him
TALK
pairings: Xavier Thorpe x fem!reader summary: you too shy to talk to Xavier, making him assume you don't like him back warnings: none
"he's looking again" your friends, Yoko said annoyed, motioning over to the one and only boy you've ever had your eye on
you looked back and saw him staring at you. your eyebrows furrowed as you looked at him confused as to why you keep finding him like this.
you looked away quickly and left with Yoko
"just talk to him" she suggested
"are you kidding? I can't just do that! I would make a fool of myself" you sighed, looking back at the boy
--
you saw him walking in the hallway, walking with Ajax.
"hi, Y/n" Ajax smiled at you as you approached, you and Ajax were kind of friends. you talked to each other nicely and sat with each other on the odd occasion in class
"Hi, Ajax" you waved softly
"Hi!" Xavier greeted you warmly
you looked at him and quickly turned your head away, walking past them
"what was that?" you heard Xavier ask Ajax
"she's just shy"
----
"why are you always looking at him?" Wednesday asked bluntly, watching you stare at the long haired boy longingly
"I do not" you scoffed quietly
"you're wasting your time on a stupid boy" she huffed
"he's not stupid" you muttered
"he might not be, but you are" her deadpan expression made you feel weak
"how?" you stopped looking at him and turned to her confusingly
"because you stare at him like you're in love, yet you make no effort to talk to him, and when he tries to, you just shy away and leave" she explained
"I don't shy away, I- I just get nervous" you mumbled
"even though I don't believe in the concept of love. I think it's stupid to waste it away just because you're nervous. he seems to want to talk to you, so that's something you should consider next time" she rolled her eyes. not in a rude way.
"I can talk to him" you argued
"I'm sure you can" she nodded sarcastically
"you know what. I'll talk to him right now" you stood up from your chair and walked over to Xavier, who was sitting, talking to Ajax
you walked up to them and looked down at Xavier, beginning to get nervous again
"Hi" he smiled softly
"Hi..Ajax" you said quickly, turning to the gorgon beside him
Xavier slumped in his chair and sighed quietly, running his tongue along the inside his cheek.
"hi. Y/n! need something?" he asked politley
"I was wondering if you could help for miss Thornhill's class, I'm kind of struggling and I know you do good in that class" you asked nicely
"yeah, Of course I can help you! do you want to go to the library tomorrow at 3?" Ajax said
"yeah, that sounds good. thank you!"
you turned to Xavier and smiled sheepishly
"bye" you murmured before walking away
-----
you sat at the Library, waiting for Ajax to arrive. you had arrived a few minutes early, to set up what you needed
"ready to start?" Ajax asked, sitting down next to you.
"yep!" you replied cheerfully
-
"do you have a problem with Xavier?" he inquired suddenly, you had been studying for fifteen minutes and you had a minute of reading back on notes when he asked
"what? what would make you say that?" you chuckled nervously
"sorry, I didn't mean to catch you off guard or anything, you just don't seem to like him" he shrugged
"what makes you say that?" you questioned
"I just don't see you talk to him, I mean I see him try to talk to you but you never really keep the conversation going" you contemplated telling Ajax, but he's Xavier's friend, so you knew he would probably end up telling him what you said.
"I didn't notice" you lied
"oh, ok" he brushed it off and continued helping you.
---
it had been two days since the study and you had organised another one. but this time it was by the lake.
you there you sat. leaning against a tree as you looked down at the lake, watching ducks swim by with their babies following. your books were sprawled out in front of you
"I brought a blanket, if that would be more comfortable to sit on" Xavier's voice said behind you.
you looked up and saw him with books and a blanket in his hand
"Pardon?" you gulped
"I know you were expecting Ajax, he was busy so he sent me" Xavier replied
but little did you know, Ajax was sat in bed, sleeping after he told Xavier to go instead. to get to know you.
"it's fine" you looked down at your hands and fiddled with your fingers as he took a seat next to you
"what about the blanket?" you exhorted
"you wanted to sit on it?" he asked
"sticks aren't that comfortable" you stated softly.
he set the blanket up on the ground and let you sit on it before him
"let's get started then" he begun. flipping to a study book
--
"this is the most you've ever talked to me" Xavier smiled
"I've talked" you argued quietly
"two words" he chuckled "why is that?"
"why's what?" you blinked cluelessly
"why do you ignore me. I try to talk to you all the time but you just walk away" he repeated in more depth
"I don't know, I just don't hear you" you lied
"but you would sometimes be looking directly at me" he urged
"I know, my hearing is pretty bad" you sighed deeply
"I'm serious, I just want to know. do I make you uncomfortable? awkward?" he listed
"nervous" you said
"nervous?" he spoke in a confused manner
"you make me nervous" you admitted
"how?" he had a slight smile on his face
"I don't know. you just do" you shrugged sheepishly
"so this whole time I just thought you didn't like me. but you were just too nervous to say something to me?" he laughed lowly
"basically yeah" you nodded your head slowly
"so you do like me?" he quizzed
"in which way?" you wondered
"are you saying there's a possibility that you like me in a romantic way?" he smirked
"no" you shook your head, beginning to feel nervous again
"are you sure?" he smiled cheekily
you couldn't talk. so you just stared blankly into the distance. pretending to not hear him
"don't go back to pretending I don't exist. please just talk to me" he pleaded
you looked at him for a glimpse of a second before turning away again. shaking your head before scooching an inch away from him
"If it makes you feel any better. I like you, a lot, actually" he revealed. your eyes went wide as he told you that. your hands went clammy as you breathing became heavy
"are you ok?" Xavier panicked, moving closer to you
"no" you whispered, breathing uneasily
"hey, It's ok. I'm sorry" he cursed himself under his breath, wrapping an arm around you and rubbing your arm for comfort
"I do like you" you confessed wobbily
"in which way, sweetheart?" he teased carefully
you glared at him as your breathing became more steady
"I'm kidding" he laughed

Xavier x witch reader where they have been dating and over time he’s gotten more and more interested in her practice, and she decides to teach him about meditation. So in his dorm she surprises him and sets up a sanctuary with her candles, crystals, incense, etc. and for the first time he finds true peace while learning how to meditate and he starts crying happy tears without even realizing, which results in a lot of concern, but ultimately ends in tooth-rotting, peaceful fluff.
From a witch to you, thank u ✊
true peace
summary | after a meditation session, xavier finally feels serenity
pairing | xavier thorpe x fem!witch!reader
warning | fluff, slight angst, witch!reader, established relationship, overload, overworked
word count | 0.9k
The room smelt like incense whenever Xavier came over, your crystals were laid on a special table you brought, the incense burning. Before meeting you, Xavier didn’t know much about spiritual guidance, meditation, any of it, and he still really didn’t.
He’d just quietly watch you intently, trying to figure out on his own what you were doing. Couple months into dating, he noticed how you started leaving crystals in his room, sometimes putting small ones in his pockets. There were a few crystals that he knew and what they meant, the first was a rose quartz.
It had been his favorite because you gave it to him explaining how it meant unconditional love. He kept with him constantly, making sure it would never leave his body, whether wearing it as a necklace, or just leaving it in his pocket.
With all your powers, it puts a mental drain on you, leaving you tired and stressed by the end of week, which was when you started meditating.
Your grandmother taught you how to meditate when you first started showing your powers, she explained that not only it calmed you down, slowed down your heart beat, practiced breathing exercises but it also heightened your spiritual awareness.
You loved mediating, you started and ended your week with it, and always invited Xavier to join you who always declined.
As the semester started getting tough, midterms coming up, everyone at Nevermore was on their last string, stressed to the max.
Xavier was one of them, he had an exam on a project on exams, his work piling up on him, barely seeing him the past couple weeks. It hadn’t been on purpose it was just Xavier never had a time to take a breath or relax.
Taking the time when he was out studying with Ajax, you snuck into his room, moving all your mediation stuff into his, setting it up into his room. Your little rug was on his floor, setting up candles and crystals around the room, the lights off, the blinds closed.
Coming up to his room, Xavier smelt that familiar incense that was always in your room, smiling to himself before opening up the door. Seeing you on the floor of his room, smiling at him.
“C’mon.” You gestured, Xavier just nodded, pulling off his jacket, setting his stuff down before joining you on the floor. Mimicking your legs, crossing them over, resting his hands on his knees.
“Let’s meditate together.” You smiled, Xavier just nodded, following your instructions. Leading him through a short breathing exercise, you kept your hands on your knees, your eyes closed, breathing in and out.
Peaking your eyes open, you already saw Xavier looking at you, smiling softly, before closing your eyes again.
As you finished explaining what to do, both of you were quiet. You tried as best as you could to explain, muttering soft words of encouragement to him, reminding him.
The room was quiet when you heard it, it was a little hiccup, followed by a sniffle. Peaking your eyes open again, you saw Xavier starting to cry.
Not being able to hold in anymore, Xavier let out a cry, gasping for air. Coming up to him, you wrapped your arms around his neck, letting his head rest on your shoulder.
“Shh.” You cooed, “It’s okay.”
Holding him as his sobs turned into sniffles, you pulled him away from you, cradling his face.
Smiling softly, you wiped away his tears, kissing the tip of his nose. “Do you want to talk about it?”
Xavier was quiet for a moment, trying to figure out the right words, “I-just..”
“Hey it’s okay, take a deep breath.” You placed your hand over his heart, “Take your time baby.”
“I never felt like that before, and it was overwhelming.” He confessed softly, his eyes closed not wanting to see the look of disappointment or anger on your face.
“Can you explain what the feeling was?” You were delicate with him knowing how your first time was, similar to his.
“I felt calm, at peace and I never felt like that before and it scared me.” He said. Holding him tighter, you kissed his forehead, pushing some of the hair that fell on his forehead, tucking it behind his ear.
“I know it's your first time.” You whispered, “All your emotions come crashing at the same time and you don’t know how to react but you did amazing Xavi, I’m proud of you.”
Xavier just smiled shyly under your gaze, hugging you tightly. Staying there for a moment, you started to pull away, Xavier not liking any of it, hugging you closer.
“I know, I know,” You laughed, “I need to clean up and we can cuddle.”
Keeping your promise, you tidied up, joining Xavier on the bed.
Shifting around, you leaned against the headboard on his bed, Xavier sitting between your legs, his head rested on your chest.
Running your hands through his hair, you massaged his scalp lightly. “You need to stop pushing yourself like that, you need some time to yourself to calm down.”
Xavier just hummed, his eyelights becoming heavy, fluttering shut. It didn’t take long for him to fall asleep, hearing how his breathing started to become deeper and slightly slower.
Looking down at him, the pad of your thumb just runs down the bridge of his nose, kissing the crown of his head, before falling asleep yourself.
fin.

Can I request Xavier Thorpe x plus!size reader i was thinking the reader and Xavier used to date until she died the reader died in a car crash Xavier is depressed because the love of his life is dead so maybe Xavier is having a hard time grieving over her death but he is getting better at talking about the reader maybe he is hanging out with his friends and they ask Xavier if he had a plan with the reader after they graduated because they would have been adults when they would’ve graduated Xavier told them that he was gonna marry the reader and start a family with her but now he can’t because she is dead even though the reader was his first everything he would always love the reader no matter what life throws at him and no one can replace the reader.
Accidents and Healing
Pairing: Xavier Thorpe x Plus!Size!Witch!reader
Characters: Xavier Thorpe, Bianca Barclay, Ajax Petropolus, Enid Sinclair, Divina Fisher, Kent Fisher, Yoko Tanaka, Jace (Xavier's dad's driver), Rowan Laslow, Plus!Size!Witch!reader (briefly mentioned)
Warnings: Angst, brief details about reader's death, everyone being supportive and caring for Xavier, Xavier grieving, Reader making an appearance or two, Reader and Xavier missing one another, sad times, mentions of an asshole stealing readers credit card, if the reader lived, they would have had twins, mentions of breastfeeding
Word Count: 2,522
A/N: Reader will be mentioned and I imagine it to be like the other side from TVD.
Nothing like finishing this one up after actually getting into a car accident earlier in the week.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xavier checks his phone, expecting a text (that won’t be coming any time soon).
He asks his father’s driver, Jace, if they can’t stop by and grab some flowers, needing to stop by the one place that can calm him down before he starts another school year.
-
“Do you remember when I ran into you in the hallway on the way to my dorm room? I found the sketch I made that day. I mean- I haven’t looked at it since our first date.”
He sighs, playing with the fabric of his dark jeans. “I have it framed… I was going to give it to you when we started this year, but… you know.”
You stand behind him, observing him from behind wishing you could hold him again.
“I was wondering if you were gonna run up to me and latch onto me like you always do… did- like you always did. I thought about it on my way over while I was waiting for your yearly “first day of school” text. I was thinking the same thing when you were walking out the door to your car. You know, after we hung up that day.”
His hand touches the dewy grass, tempting him to pick at it but doesn’t, not wanting to ruin your grave site, leaving it as perfect as you were.
His shoulders sag at the thought.
You never wanted to admit that you were perfect even though he argued that you were.
Another thing he misses and puts into the “it doesn’t get easier to think about” category.
You move around him, kneeling in front of him. “You’ve grown so much.” You raise your hand and brush a piece of hair out of his eyes.
He brushes it off and thinks it's the wind, even if you’d always brush the hair out of his face… the thought of you still being here hurts him too much to admit.
He doesn’t want to think you’re here with him when neither of you can be together.
When his phone buzzes again, he ignores it. It’s too soon for him to leave, he’s barely talked to you.
He huffs at the ding of another notification and unlocks his phone to find Ajax and Bianca keeps calling him.
They’re not going to stop calling if he doesn’t leave now and he knows that.
He slowly pushes himself off the grass, the damp spot on his pants begins bothering him because his skin is going to be itchy soon (if he doesn’t take care of it).
He texts the two a quick reply, saying that he’ll be at school in a few, he forgot to grab his school bag even though they know the truth.
No one can blame him for not wanting to go to school when he lost the love slash light of his life.
With his heart still as heavy as ever, he slowly drags his feet off the ground, taking slow steps, as he walks away from… you.
-
Xavier runs his hand through his hair as he stands in front of your dorm room, wondering if it’s been collecting dust over the last few months or if it’s ready for a new occupant.
He knows Yoko hasn’t touched any of your things and put in a request to move into another dorm.
She briefly mentioned she doesn’t like that there’s a lingering energy, whether it be you or not, she doesn’t want it to latch onto her.
And he understood when she told him but, it hurt him when he first found out.
He takes a deep breath and does the one thing he’s barely been able to do since the accident (seven months ago) and walks away.
-
He heads for the mural Miss Weems asked him to do last year, the prying eyes on him don’t phase him as much as they used to.
‘Maybe it means I’m healing?’ He thinks before shaking his head, not wanting to think about how much he’s been grieving (and still is). He puts in his second ear bud and grabs his paintbrush.
Bianca periodically glances over at the tortured artist, feeling the need to check up on him.
She always knew you two were a better match than he and her (if she had asked him out when she had the chance their first year at Nevermore [a year before he asked you out] then things might have been a little different).
Honestly everyone thought you two were going to be the ones to start their lives seconds after graduating and that includes the townspeople.
There wasn’t anyone who had a bad thing to say about your relationship.
And no one could have imagined you’d be gone before you could finish school or start the rest of your lives with him.
-
The school found out three hours after the accident had happened and the only reason Xavier found out was because of everyone posting how they were going to miss you which led to him finding out the truth.
Your parents were barely able to send an email to the school, let alone even try to make a phone call to the one person who gave their daughter the kind of love they only ever hoped she would get once she was in a relationship.
Seconds after he hung up with you, your driver swerved the car off the road which resulted in the car flipping over three times down the small hill beside the road just past the town line.
Your belongings were scattered all around the road and forest, giving some stranger the opportunity to steal your wallet and try to use your credit card for a liquor store run.
It took a lot out of Xavier that afternoon to force his friends to stay and not commit murder as they barely began to grieve.
The windows and windshield were cracked; the side mirrors were barely hanging on. The hood of the car was crunched and bent into itself, not even remotely close to being repairable along with the roof.
Surprisingly, your family’s driver didn’t suffer nearly as much as you did but still took some of the worse wounds since he was the one closest to where the most damage was.
-
Luckily the police kept the images away from any news outlet and social media site otherwise Xavier would have been hurting himself more by examining the photos and reminding himself of how he “could” have prevented the crash (even though he knows he couldn’t).
He shakes his head, upset to see the car driving around the shed before he waves it out of the air.
That's not what he needs to think about after his first day back at school.
He rubs his charcoaled hands over his face, leaving long streaks coming down his cheeks.
You stare at the piece on his easel, wondering how he knows what happened when he wasn’t there. ‘And thank god he wasn’t,’ you think.
He wipes his hands on his pants, not caring about the streaks that are going to stain his dark jeans and ruin his clothes when he washes them (it wouldn't be the first time).
Although it'd be the first time you wouldn't tease him about it. That realization hurts him.
He sighs, wishing you were here with him. 'Is this how it's going to be?' He wonders.
Do people that lose the love of their life constantly think about questions, wondering what would have been different if their loved one was still alive… is this how his dad felt when his mom died, and he was left to raise Xavier on his own?
His phone buzzes again.
His phone has never bothered him as much as it is right now.
Another thing he wonders is if his friends will ever stop checking up on him, as regularly as they have to make sure he's okay.
He thinks about you…again and thinks back to his latest dream about you, the life he wishes you two could have had, if things turned out differently.
-
Your arms wrap around his shoulders. "The kids are getting antsy waiting for their dad to finish and poor mom is getting the repercussions," you tease him.
Your warmth breath hits his ear, sending a tingle down his spine.
He misses that.
"Oh, yeah?" He spins around on the stool, wrapping his arms around your waist.
You nod with a small smile, "yeah. What are you going to do to make it up to me?"
"Someone has no manners," he tells you with a smile on his face.
"You're not the one who has to try and breastfeed two children at the same time."
"Thank God, otherwise we'd be having a different discussion."
"Like whose nipples are going to be ripped apart next?"
He pulls you in close, brushing his nose against yours. "Nice try."
You pout, “don’t be mean.”
“I’m not being mean.”
“Yes, you are, and you know it.” You giggle. “I need you to wake up.”
“What?” He asks, not understanding why you’re telling him this.
“Wake up.”
-
“Xavier, wake up.” Rowan shakes his shoulders. “Wake up.”
The artist pushes his roommate away from him.
“Sorry,” the blond says, taking a step back. “You were saying her name and sounded like you were hurt.”
He slowly pushes himself up, resting against his headboard.
“Are you okay?”
Xavier turns his head. “What?”
“I’m- you- you haven’t been the same since the accident and I wanted to know if you were okay. I don’t think anyone’s brave enough to ask you how you’re doing.”
He shrugs, “I don’t know. I just- I can’t believe it’s been this long. I mean, it feels like it happened yesterday.”
The telepath nods, debating on asking him or not. “Do you think you’re ever going to be able to get over her?”
Xavier doesn’t even have to think about the answer before responding. “No.”
Rowan knows asking more is going to most likely bring his friend back to his previous state, the day he was when you died and doesn’t want that to happen so, he leaves to go to the nightshade society room, wanting to feel closer to his mom.
The artist sighs and flops back onto his bed. He knows he should get up and get ready for school but he just- he can’t.
He closes his eyes, wondering what you two would have been doing right now.
Bianca slams the door open and shakes her head when she sees what state he’s in. “Come on.”
“What?”
“You’re coming with me whether you want to or not.”
He pushes her hands away and his sheets back up, over his shoulder. “No. Go away.”
“Xavier-”
He groans and forces himself out of bed. “Let me get dressed and then I’ll meet with you guys after.”
“No need. I’ll be just outside the door,” she smiles and walks away.
He pursed his lips and searches for his uniform.
You walk by him, narrowly avoiding him as he passes by.
Your scent fills the room, a flash of memories swirl through his mind and he realizes something; his heart doesn’t feel as heavy today but he’s still sad.
Could this be what people talk about when they say they still miss a loved one and are comforted by certain things that person enjoyed or like?
He slowly drags his blazer over his hoodie, you’re favorite one, in fact.
He stares out the window and realizes, it’s rainy days like these where he needs a little more comfort and security.
-
He sits at your guy's table in the courtyard, mindlessly sketching something new in his sketchbook.
Ajax sits down next to him. He catches the sight of Xavier’s dull and methodically designed pencil. “Hey, isn’t that-”
Divina and Kent kick his shins, to which the gargoyle groans and rubs the now sore spot. “What?”
They shake their heads.
He huffs through his nose. “You guys don’t need to worry. I’m fine.”
“You said that before and walked out of class,” Bianca points out, sitting down beside Divina.
“Okay, fine.” Xavier sighs. “But I mean it this time. Today- today… feels different.”
“Good different? Or bad different?” Yoko asks.
“Honestly, I don’t know. I’m just trying to make it through the day so I can go back to bed.”
A couple of gasps could be heard a few of his friends at the table.
“Did we just hear resident tortured artist make a joke?” Enid asks, setting her lunch tray beside Yoko’s.
He chuckles through his nose, “you’re still rolling with that nickname?”
She shrugs, “that’s what we always liked to call you.”
No one says anything or nudges her to stop talking.
“It’s my title.”
Her lips curve upwards, enjoying their small familiar banter; something they haven’t done in a while. “It is… and it’s never going away.”
“I wouldn’t expect anything less.” This is nice, this is what everyone’s been wanting to happen but knew it had to come on his time and couldn’t rush him. They’re just happy they can see a little bit of a happier Xavier even if they still miss you.

Extended ending You smile and watch as he has lunch with your old friends, now you can stop coming around so much to check up on him. “He’s tough,” you whisper to yourself.
He’s going to be okay.
You turn around and walk away, wiping your cheeks knowing you won’t be together for a long time but hope that he’s able to live a long and happy life without you in it.
As long as he has his friends by his side, everything will be a little better for him.
You decide to spend the “rest” of your days at the art shack, wanting to feel closer to Xavier. You wander around and trace every one of his sketches with your finger, still as fascinated as ever by his skills.
The door opens; Xavier removes his blazer, tossing it off to the side so he can tie his hair back and work out his feelings.
He stops at the sight of one of the flowers from your bouquet, laying on top of his most recent sketch book.
He picks it up and sets it to the side when he sees a card that says, “I’ll be waiting. Take your time. I’ll still be here.” He squeezes his eyes shut, holding in his tears.
You step forward and place an arm around his shoulder, resting your head against his.
You have to let go of Xavier in order for him to live his life.
“I will never forget you,” you whisper before kissing his cheek, something for him to remember you by.
He can feel that your presence disappears, and the tears roll down his cheeks.
Neither of you would have admitted it, but it was necessary.
You had to leave him in order for him to grieve properly and not hold onto hope that you would somehow come back to him.
Sometimes people leave and sometimes they don’t. In this case, it's both.

Yoko: Alright, Wednesday, Enid. Let's go over this one more time.
Yoko: If something breaks?
Enid: We try to fix it before Y/n gets here.
Yoko: If it doesn't work?
Wednesday: We blame Xavier.
Xavier: Seriously, guys, what the hell?!

— WHEN THE PARTY’S OVER
xavier thorpe x reader
reader is a witch!
— Xavier Thorpe found himself standing in the corner of Calcifer Hall where the infamous on campus parties held by the one and only Gargoyle — Ajax Petropolus had always taken place. Party life was no longer the one for him after his messy breakup with the resident queen bee herself.
Hand holding onto the red solo cup, Xavier found his eyes gradually glancing towards one of Nevermore’s certified royalty, You. There you were underneath the rainbow LED lights dancing to a generic party song along side Enid Sinclair — the extrovert of all extroverts.
As the party died down you found yourself making your way towards the balcony. Moonshine above you as u sat on the stone ledge, opening a can of dollar store beer for yourself. “Now what is Salem’s princess doing alone out here? Oh my god, and she’s drinking cheap beer too?” , Xavier faked gasped. “Please, cheap beer happens to be good beer.” , you laughed out shifting to the side to allow space for him to sit.
“So.. what brings you out here magic man?” , you smiled and said out to him. “Oh, Enid vomited on Wednesday and I would rather die than smell the odour of pure gluttony.” gagged the boy and you laughed. God your laugh, to Xavier, hearing u speak and even laugh makes him feel euphoric. Everyday he told the stars that it should’ve been you who he met first instead of that cunning siren.
The both of you now sitting in silence under nothing but the dim starry night with muffled Pitbull songs in the background from the party. “I heard you liked arts, is that right Xavier?” , you began. “I do, it makes me get over things.” the boy replied. “Can i see your art?”, you replied eagerly as Xavier pulled out a small sketchbook from the back pockets of his jeans, flipping through it revealing all of his various sketches from lakes, flowers and animals.
In an instance a piece of paper flew out, it was all too familiar — it was you. “Wait I can explain” , he panicked, but instead a finger flew to his mouth asking him to shush. “This is so cute! Does magic man have a crush on me or what?” you giggled out as he shot a glare. “Let me do u a favour Xavier.” and in an instance your lips were on his gently as you laughed out “i like you too you know.”
A pair of lovers on top of the balcony’s ledge indulging themselves into what was called the purest form of love.
aaa i hope you enjoyed ! make sure to take care everyone
