Forgive me for the person who I'll become if I ever get the chance to meet with Wyll's voice actor
I am so so abnormally attached to Wyll that I might actually explode if I get to meet Theo Solomon
#wyll ravengard bg3#wyll baldur's gate 3#wyll ravengard#bg3 wyll#wyll bg3#theo solomon#That might just be because bg3 means a whole lot to me#and he just happens to be my favorite character#Tbh considering the fact I got a bit misty eyed when I was talking to my grandma about my brother playing it with me#because he was going off to college really soon and I was glad I was able to that with him#Im a tiny bit worried I might tear up if I do get to meet him

Black Demon Representation
This will sound odd and/or controversial to a lot of people but PERSONALLY as a black person who kins themselves to the concept of demons and is fond of the fantasy genre when it comes to entertainment, seeing a couple of characters within the latest Fantasy genre of entertainment media being black people with physical demonic characteristics pleases me.

And the main reason as to why this please me is because society (especially Christians) view demons as evil. But then again society for centuries also view black people as evil and would demonize us just for our skin color. Thing is I'm proud to be black so if you see me as a demon/nonhuman because I'm black then I'm proud to be that too. Because at the end of the day, I can't help that I was born with this skin color and features therefore you have to deal with me existing like this whether you like it or not.
My other reasons is because like I said I like the Fantasy genre. I like the concept of it and I like the species/races within the fantasy genre. Thing is there's not many black characters within popular fantasy media. So seeing the latest popular fantasy media having black characters in it is pleasing especially ones that have some sort of relation to a fantasy species that I love (That being demons, devils, vampires, and any other species that is deemed demonic or vampiric.)
So I hope to see more black characters in popular fantasy media in the future because representation does matter. (even if the representation is oddly specific)

Red Eyes, Grey Skin, White Hair
Sometimes it's hard to be a drow on the surface; especially a drow that just wants to be, well, everything a drow usually isn't. Prejudice and unknowingly hurtful words cut just as badly as a knife, and sometimes the only thing that can help is a Blade.
As the night began to settle and the sun began to set, Edonya sat beside Shadowheart while she took off her armor and Edonya stitched up her own robes. Her undershirt only wrapped around her chest, but her pants were pulled up over her hips and a little way up her stomach so she didn’t feel that exposed with her stomach exposed and some cleavage out. No one in the camp had said anything, and they all had seen each other in far less clothing whether they wanted to or not, especially when they had to camp in closer confines.
Lae’zel walked over to the two, glaring at Shadowheart before turning and watching Edonya for a moment. Edonya noticed the shadow over her as Lae’zel had stood in front of the flickering fire, but waited patiently for Lae’zel to talk with her. Lae’zel quickly realized what Edonya was doing and huffed out a sigh. “Yes, Lae’zel?” Edonya wondered aloud with a smile, not bothering to look up at the woman. Something jangled, pulling Edonyas attention from her sewing to see Lae’zel handing her some fabric. Edonya’s brows furrowed for a moment, as she took the fabric from Lae’zel and unfolded it curiously. Looking over the tunic, it didn’t seem like it needed anything sewn or patched. Edonya looked back up at Lae’zel for answers. “I believe you wanted to keep this enchanted.” Lae’zel muttered, irritated that she needed to explain herself. Edonya said ‘oh’ before snickering and feeling the shirt. It did feel like the magic had faded. “I do!” Edonya smiled, holding the fabric up as she raised her hand over it, whispering a protective and hardening incantation on the tunic. “I wouldn’t want some goblin sword to be what got you before these little tadpoles in our heads.” Edonya teased, noticing the grimace from Shadowheart and the scowl from Lae’zel as she snatched the tunic away, letting out a quiet and reluctant ‘thank you’ as she stomped back over to her tent. Astarion could be heard letting out a soft chuckle. Edonya turned from her spot and looked over at him. His eyes were hovering over the lines of some book before he looked over the top of the pages with an obvious smirk hidden behind the cover. Edonya stuck her tongue out at him before smiling and returning to her own sewing. “You know, I still have trouble understanding you.” Shadowheart said after a moment of Edonya getting back into her sewing. Edonya raised an eyebrow back at her, briefly glancing her way before she looked back at her needle. “Really? I didn’t think I had any kind of foreign accent.” Edonya mused aloud teasingly, looking over at Shadowheart briefly. Shadowheart shook her head, in response as she placed her breastplate to the side of her. “It’s not your accent.” Shadowheart disagreed. “I suppose it’s strange to see how you are.” Shadowheart said as she worked on the armor straps on her legs. Edonya paused her stitching for a moment and looked over at Shadowheart, still not understanding what she was getting at. “Drow are known for how backstabbing and murderous they are, yet you sew up clothes and put enchantments on armor for us.” Edonya’s heart fluttered anxiously as she listened to Shadowheart. “It’s just odd to see a drow so loyal to something or someone for nothing in return.” Shadowheart said absentmindedly. “It makes me wonder sometimes.” Edonya felt a rush of different emotions go through her, but the main one she felt was… hurt . Edonya bit her tongue for a moment, trying to not display anything that she had felt before snickering. “I guess that is a little odd.” Edonya agreed readily, turning her attention back to her stitching and noticing it was mostly done. A lump was beginning to form in her throat. “Though I would think helping you out of your little pod would have changed your mind a little.” Edonya shrugged, letting out the jab almost accidentally as she began sewing a little less focused. “All I’m saying is that it’s strange to have a drow as company without being a little cautious.” Shadowheart huffed back. “You can’t blame me for how your people act.” Your people . Edonya’s chest began to feel heavy as a knot began to form. “Well, the drow on the surface aren’t like the drow in the Underdark…I assume.” Edonya stated a little defensively, looking back over at Shadowheart as she continued to sew. Shadowheart didn’t seem to realize that she was being rude to Edonya as she was still just taking off her armor and speaking her mind. She usually did that after a long day, which it had been. Mostly of walking, but still… “That you know of.” Shadowheart stated before letting out a small scoff of a laugh. “The ones we’ve encountered on the surface haven’t been the best examples.” Shadowheart chuckled with a shake of her head. Edonya winced as she felt herself prick her finger with her needle. Instinctively, she shook her hand and put the pricked finger in her mouth. Shadowheart glanced over at her from the action and raised an eyebrow with a smirk, shaking her head with her long hair moving gracefully as it always did. “I think you are just different.” Shadowheart said watching Edonya pull her finger out of her mouth and look at the small pinhole. Edonya looked over at her, biting her tongue at the shift in her tone from serious to lighthearted mockery. This was normal, yet Edonya felt not normal. “I suppose that’s true.” Edonya agreed softly, trying her best to sound like she wasn’t upset by Shadowheart’s comments. “Well, I’ll be back. I need to go rinse some of this gunk off my shins.” Edonya announced aloud to the party, all within hearing distance from her, yet all spread out just enough for the evening to have their own space. Edonya stood up making her way to her tent and grabbing one of her extra robes before leaving the camp with both her robes. Her heart felt like it was going to break free from her chest. As Edonya walked through the darkness, even in doing so, her chest felt heavy and her throat felt as if there was a lump in it. She could see so well in the dark because she was a drow. A murderous, backstabbing drow. As Edonya got to the slower and deeper part of the river, she sat down on a rock, she pulled her boots and socks from her feet, seeing her grey skin. As she walked over and let the water wash over the bottom of her feet and a little on her shins, once the water calmed from her disturbing it, her reflection could be seen in the water. Her red eyes looked back at her. Her skin was grey and speckled with white freckles, her hair was white though her brows were dark, and her hands faded from black to grey up to her inner elbows. Drow. Drow, drow, drow . She was a drow and that meant untrustworthy. Unworthy. Always. Goblins trembled before her. Duegar tolerated her without killing her on sight. Gnomes kept their eyes on the ground when she was near. Tieflings, elves, and humans all looked at her with caution. She was a monster. She would always be a monster to them. It didn’t matter who she helped, it didn’t matter what she did, or who she was. As long as she had grey skin, white hair, and red eyes, she would be nothing more than the hundreds of thousands of years and stereotypes that the drow before her had caused. “ You’re brave to not hide your heritage .” Zevlor had said after the first time they had met. Edonya breathed in a little, looking into her mind for the spell she knew was trapped in her brain somewhere. She could perfect it before they entered Baldur’s Gate. She could be normal, without fear of ruining things for her companions once they entered the city. Edonya breathed in deeply before letting the air out slowly before she cast the spell to disguise herself. The magic felt warm as it wrapped itself around her, like a second skin. When Edonya opened her eyes, she nearly fell backwards. Edonya bent down slowly, so as to not disturb the water that reflected her. Warm pinkish skin, red hair , green eyes, and brown freckles. She looked like a normal elf. No grey skin, no red eyes, no white hair, no fear, no prejudice, no distrust. Yet, the thing that remained was the ever-growing knot in her chest. Edonya watched herself carefully, turning and noticing that the only thing that changed about her was the colors. Edonya stopped looking at her reflection and looked at her hands. Normal . Her hands were the same color all the way up to her elbow. No shadow magic had corrupted these hands with this body. She looked…like just a regular elf. It was her body, and yet it would never truly be hers. “Edie?” Edonya tensed up as she quickly turned around to see Wyll squinting into the opening where she was. When he finally reached the moonlight, he looked at her and Edonya felt her heart flutter anxiously when Wyll looked her up and down. “What are you doing?” Wyll asked, no malice in his voice, yet there was a certain confused and concerned tone to the question. Edonya breathed out. “I was…I was just…I-this, I wanted to practice for when we were to go to Baldur’s Gate.” Edonya sputtered out, feeling embarrassment begin to burn up her neck. Would her blush be red or would it show that behind the spell, she was still a drow, with her skin lighting up the dark pale purple it normally did when she blushed? Edonya frowned, turning and looking into the water again. Red . Her cheeks looked red as she felt the embarrassment creep up her face. “Practice? You don’t need to hide who you are.” Wyll stated sternly in his ever-righteous voice. Edonya scoffed, shaking her head. “Says the human.” Edonya shot back lowly, looking at her reflection in the river once more. The knot in her chest continued to feel heavier and heavier and the lump in her throat grew harder to swallow. Wyll let out a small sigh. “Look, I’m not going to pretend like I know how it feels to be ostracised for what I am, because I don’t,” Wyll admitted, walking over to her and standing where she could see his reflection. He was looking at her and Edonya couldn’t bare to look back at him, even in the running waters of the river. “I just don’t think this is who you are.” Wyll explained gently, folding his arms as he looked down at the water and caught Edonya’s eyes. Edonya huffed out a sigh as she kicked the water a little to disturb their reflections before turning back and looking up at Wyll. “Of course it’s not.” Edonya snapped angrily. “No, because who I am is who all drow are.” Edonya continued, letting her anger out on Wyll. “It will never matter what I do because, at the end of the day, I’m just some grey-skinned evil and treacherous monster from the Underdark.” Edonya continued, dispelling her disguise to put her point across. Going from a normal-looking elf to one with red eyes and grey skin had to be daunting, but when she looked at Wyll, his eyes shown with a gentle kindness that she hadn’t been prepared for. Her breath caught in her throat. “You know, I spent some time with the tieflings prior to the whole, well, being abducted by actual monsters and having a parasite shoved into my one good eye,” Wyll began, pointing to his good eye with a small smile as he playfully winked off the retelling of his misfortunes. “And, wouldn’t you believe, many of them had the same thoughts as you? Save for the grey skin and Underdark bits.” Wyll continued with a playfulness in his voice. Edonya folded her arms, feeling the lump in her throat burn. “Some…some races have it worse than others.” Wyll continued, though the playfulness in his tone dropped as he spoke in a much more gentle and soft voice. “And true, some folks may only ever see you as this terrifying, monstrous drow,” Wyll stated, gesturing to Edonya up and down, before reaching his hand out for her to take and pull her from the shallow water. Edonya hesitated to take his hand before she ultimately reached out and grabbed it. Grey to black to brown. “But, I just don’t think it matters what you look like. You’re more than just your looks. Everyone is.” Wyll continued as he helped Edonya from the slow-moving river. Edonya bit the inside of her cheek as she stared at their hands. “Looks have a lot to do with…” Edonya began before stopping as the lump felt impossible to speak over. “I don’t…” Edonya continued, her voice nearly cracking before she stopped and swallowed. “I suppose I just thought it would be easier.” Edonya admitted quietly. “I thought when I got to the surface, everything would change, and I would be able to be myself without any ridicule.” Edonya let out a laugh, but she felt her eyes begin to well up. “That’s so stupid . Gods , I’m so stupid .” Edonya laughed again, her jaw now beginning to tremble before she tensed up her jaw and felt a tear fall down her face. Wyll pulled her into a hug, shaking his head. “You’re not stupid.” Wyll reassured, wrapping her up in his arms. Edonya felt herself continue to try and keep herself from crying, but with how gently she was being hugged by him and how warm he was, she felt herself begin to cry. “It’s alright, it’s alright.” Wyll attempted to coddle her, but he was laughing, even if it was silently. Edonya could feel it in how his chest shook a little. “You’re laughing at me!” Edonya cried out as she tried to pull away from the chuckling man, which only made him outwardly laugh and pull her tighter against him. “I am, I know, I’m sorry, it’s just that you’re so naive sometimes, it’s adorable.” Wyll teased gently, lifting her up off the ground to make her try to pull away harder. Edonya groaned irritatedly before he finally pulled away and set her back down, bending down a little and wiping away her tears while cupping her face. “The grass is always greener on the other side, and in your case, there’s actual grass on the surface, but it’s not as soft as you thought.” Wyll said with a smile and a shake of his head. “Everyone is a bit of a bastard up on the surface, but there’s less actual backstabbing. Not to say there’s none at all, but you thinking that everything was going to be perfect is so… you .” Wyll chuckled, still smiling as Edonya continued to pout. “Stupid, I know, I’ve established that.” Edonya grumbled snarkily, which only made Wyll click his tongue in disapproval before he flicked her nose. Edonya let out a surprised scoff as she pulled her face away from the hand that had remained cupping her face. “ Naive .” Wyll corrected. “Naive and optimistic.” Wyll added quickly when he saw Edonya scowl. “You know what you are, Edie?” Wyll asked hypothetically, still smiling. Edonya folded her arms tightly around herself. “Simple and stupid?” Edonya shot back making Wyll roll his eyes. “No.” Wyll stated back sternly, pointing at her with a sharp finger before he continued. “You’re kind.” Edonya blinked, taken aback. “You’re soft. You’re sweet. You’re generous. You’re so many good things.” Wyll continued to spout off thoughtful adjectives at her until her scowl had faded. “And I bet you’re not the only drow in Faerûn with those qualities either.” Wyll continued with his stupidly bright smile. “What I’m saying is that some people may only ever see you as this terrifying and monstrous drow, like all the other drow are,” Wyll said, playfully putting up his hands and curling them up to pretend to scratch the air with a stupid look on his face to represent how ‘terrifying’ and ‘monstrous’ drow were. “But they don’t matter. Not in the long run. Not when there are people who know you and like you for who you are.” Wyll continued, more seriously as he reached over and tucked a loose strand of white hair behind her long pointed ears. Edonya felt the lump in her throat begin to subside and the weight in her chest lighten. “I don’t think Shadowheart meant to say something that upset you.” Wyll said gently, making Edonya look down, feeling guilty. “I know she didn’t.” Edonya breathed out softly, looking at the ground. “It’s the same with Lae’zel. I know it’s just who they are and how they talk…I shouldn’t have taken it so personally.” Edonya confessed, feeling silly about how she had run off to be alone. “Would you ever change either of them?” Wyll wondered, cocking his head a little to the side. Edonya’s brows furrowed as she looked back up at him. Wyll watched, looking at her expectedly. “Maybe a little with what they say, but that’s not my call.” Edonya stated truthfully. “If they want to change, they can change themselves however they please. I’m not their Gods.” Edonya explained her reasoning. “And I’m not claiming to be either!” Edonya said pointedly up at the sky. Wyll chuckled at her response. “If you wouldn’t change them, why would you want to change yourself?” Wyll asked, trying to sound profound, but Edonya breathed out a scoff. “That’s different and you know it.” Edonya grumbled, folding her arms. Wyll folded his own arms back at her. “Personality and race aren’t the same—” Edonya cut herself off as the words came tumbling out to try and make Wyll understand, but halfway through, it clicked. Wyll slowly smiled cheekily, nodding his head a little toward her before gesturing her to continue her train of thought. Edonya clicked her tongue and huffed out her nose. “Hmm? What was that? What were you about to say?” Wyll teased with a growing shit-eating grin. Edonya tried to stay irritated with Wyll, but found herself struggling not to smile at his smug face. “That race and personality are different?” Wyll continued, cupping his hand to his ear and turning a little to play up the dramatics. Edonya rolled her eyes, finally breaking and letting herself smile a little. Wyll looked back at her expectantly, but Edonya raised an eyebrow at him and remained silent. “I’ll leave you be now. I just wanted to make sure you knew.” Wyll said with a little bow of his head before turning and walking away from Edonya “You’re annoyingly good at making me feel better.” Edonya grumbled aloud, loud enough for Wyll to hear and make him stop in his tracks. He smiled cheekily back at Edonya. “Eh, what can I say, I like to make pretty girls happy.” Wyll said with a smug smile, winking back at Edonya. Edonya rolled her eyes but did feel her cheeks warm. “The Blade of Frontiers doesn’t discriminate when it comes to those who need some help.” Wyll said with an even more grand bow. “Plus, I like the purple better than the red.” Wyll smiled. Edonya let out a laugh before rolling her eyes and reaching down to chuck a stone at him. “Even on an evil little drow like yourself.” Wyll teased with a laugh as he rushed off, seeing Edonya grab a stone from the river. Edonya shook her head, looking down at the river once more before skipping the rock. A moment passed and she saw her reflection again. Her eyes were red, her skin grey and speckled with white freckles, her hair was white, and her hands were black that faded back to grey at her elbows. Disguising herself was still something she could do…But there was less of an urge to try and perfect it. The knot in her chest was still present, but it did seem lighter, thanks to a pep talk from some silly folk hero.

Wyll x Dalia Date Night
(Dalia is a tiefling street urchin rogue.)
Love comes at the strangest time with unexpected company. A rare few lazy days at camp, everyone is getting a well deserved rest. Wyll was getting ready to clean his sword when he spotted an unknown note near his tent. He grabs it and begins to read. It says the following:
"Hey Wyll We're close to Zhentil Keep. I wanted to ask if you wanted to come with me to a secret spot of mine. It's at a corner of the city where no one will bug us or try to rob us. If you're interested, let me know. Sincerely,
Dalia."
Wyll felt giddy at the request of his new tiefling companion Dalia. She lived in this city her while life, she knows the ins and outs of it. At this point, he trusts her now t show him the way. The exiled warlock knew he will have to be cautious. Zhentil Keep is a very corrupted city run by the Zhentarim a mercenary company and mercantile organization. The few months shown to him, despite her chaotic life of petty crime to keep her stomach full, she had a heart. A couple of hours later, Dalia and Karlach returned to camp then started unpacking bags of long-needed supplies for the journey.
Wyll walks to Dalia and coughs to get her attention. "Hello Dalia, I got your note."
Karlach smiles, she shows what's going on, Dalia nods to her, then the berserker leaves. Dalia was a little shy, she had never asked anyone out before. The tiefling thief hopes he's up for it. It's not much, but Dalia works hard to find the best time. Wyll was shy as well, but he felt like a child on a holiday morning.
"I accept your offer. When do you want to go?" This made Dalia happy, her blue eyes lightened up. "How long will we be camping?" Dalia asked. Wyll took a moment, then remembered the plan. "Everyone is still tired for a couple more days." Dalia liked the sound of that. "How about tomorrow evening, when the sun is still up but setting?" Wyll agrees, it was a deal, he won't deny sneaking around the city and the Zhentarim to Dalia's secret spot is scary. But with Dalia's street smarts and experience, they should be ok.
*Fast forward to the city, the next day.* Wyll and Dalia enter a hidden tunnel in the city. They managed to come into a old corner that looked like someone had stayed there for a bit. Alias, they continue to the shortcut Dalia used all the time before she got captured by the mind flayers. They find an old abandoned building at the edge of the city, and Dalia helps him climb up to the roof with bags on their backs. Once they hit their destination, Wyll looked at the sky and was in awe at the view. "This is beautiful Dalia."
The tiefling hums warmly in response and looks over the horizon. "The little light that still shines in this dark city." She looked over to Wyll. "Lets set up," Wyll and Dalia set up a little picnic and watched the sun set. The food was delicious. Wyll wondered where Dalia got the meals from. His curiosity and breaks the silence. "Where did you get this food?"
Dalia smiles with pride and eats her share. "My Ma and I cooked it. I went to see her and told her what was going on. She was frantic when I got captured. I discreetly told her about you. And she offered to help wih what I wanted to do for us." Wyll gave her a puzzled look. "Discreetly?" Dalia nods.
"To give you privacy, I figured you needed it. And...the last thing we need is anyone dangerous and influential here learning that the Wyll Ravengard is in Zhentill Keep." She had a good point. Wyll recalls his father talking about the corrupted figures here. The thought sent shivers down his spine. And the thought of the girl he liked protecting him made him blush. He shyly chuckles.
"Underneath that tough facade, you're truly a sweetheart." Dalia looked away flustered. "Don't tell my friends, they'll tease the nine hells out of me." Wyll laughs as they drink and eat. The sun setting at this angle is something, but to Wyll, it didn't compare to his new lover. He slowly sneaked a hand into hers. Dalia sees that and lets him hold her hand. A street urchin and the Blade of Frontiers makes the oddest of couples. But they wouldn't have it any other way.

The Ballad of the Blade
(Aka the song Els sings to annoy Wyll, but he deserves some hero songs)
When miscreants come in the blackest of night
One man will defeat them and set things to rights
When goblins rampage in the bright light of day
One hero will boldly charge into the fray
Chorus
(And he is-)
O, The Blade, The Blade of Frontiers
Giving wrongdoers a box 'round the ears
Thanks to the Blade the Frontiers stay free
He fights the good fight, for you and for me
Minotaur, were-bear, hellspawn and worse
The Blade will have 'em all needing a hearse
His tongue and his wits are as sharp as his sword
More than a match for the worst bugbear hoarde
Chorus
(And he is-)
O, The Blade, The Blade of Frontiers
Giving wrongdoers a box 'round the ears
Thanks to the Blade the Frontiers stay free
He fights the good fight, for you and for me
There are rumors that say he is of noble birth
Yet he protects the common, he sees our worth
When the rest of 'em hide in ol' Baldur's Gate
Dripping with jewels, food piled on their plate
The Blade fights for those he's sworn to defend
We call him a hero- we call him a friend
And we will fight with him, we'll stand at his side
That paragon of honor, that beacon of pride-
If you provoke the blade, you'll suffer it's sting
So join in, one and all, as we once again sing!
Chorus
O, The Blade, The Blade of Frontiers
Giving wrongdoers a box 'round the ears
Thanks to the Blade the Frontiers stay free
He fights the good fight, for you and for me
