Some TransID positivity
I saw some anti-transID stuff so I'm deciding to make a positivity post even though I don't normally do these.
For Transplurals, I hope you're able to make your headmates able to talk to you and make them more distinct, if you prefer less distinct headmates that's still valid. Your experiences are valid and real, you deserve to be in plural spaces as much as anyone else does, plurality is a very complex experience and no ones able to tell you what you can and can't experience.
For WTPOC trace people, you're not racist for identifying how you do, you're not racist for experiencing the things you do. I hope you're able to transition if you desire to. You didn't do anything wrong for simply existing however you're most comfortable
For POCTW trace people, you're also valid, you should be able to live as your race no matter what you were born as. You don't deserve any hate you get for being open about being trace.
For Transopinion people, you also don't deserve hate, I'm sure it's hard especially for harmful/hateful transopinions and none of you deserve the stuff you deal with for your identity.
For Transtrauma people, I hope you're able to transition if you want to transition, I understand your experiences can be rough and you're valid as well.
For people with TransIDs who don't want to transition, you're also valid, your experiences are as real as the people who don't want to. You don't need to transition in order for your experience to be counted as real and it's really hard to transition in the first place.

💙💖🤍💖💙 Happy Trans Day of Visibility! Let’s celebrate ourselves today. Tell yourself you are beautiful, you are worthy of happiness, you are deserving of respect, you are divine and righteous in who you are. No one can take away our identities. No law can erase us. No box can confine us. Many of us are struggling right now, I see you and I love you. We’ll make it through this together. Lift up your trans loved ones today. Share our stories. Buy our art/products/clothing. Support our causes. Today and everyday let’s spread love. . . . . . #tomboyx #tomboyxtransisbeautiful #transisbeautiful #transfayofvisibility #transdayofvisibility2020 #tdov #tdov2020 #trans #transgender #mtf #amab #wtpoc #twoc #transmodel #transandexposed #transandinked #underwearmodel #transgirl #nonbinary #transwoman #breaktheinternet #selfacceptance #selflove #identity #comingout #wearehere #wontbeerased #oneofthem (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-aM9yUnHFC/?igshid=rcz900cmjplu

Nina has been missing since December 6, 2017 when she was last seen in the South Side. Her family has tried repeatedly to file a missing persons report, but apparently there is some little known legal issue wherein having an active bench warrant means you can’t be considered a missing person. I don’t understand that. My partner who is a lawyer does not understand it. The numerous folks I’ve spoken with from the DA’s office to experienced journalists to community advocates – none of them could explain it.  But asking the question seems to have worked at least a little bit. Today the police filed a missing person report. That should hopefully pave the way for Crimestoppers to step in and perhaps the victims advocates. And more. Nina’s legal status has shifted to reflect her reality rather than the narrow trope imposed upon her by this ridiculous policy.

Personal Redemption And Community Opportunity Through Urban Farming [PODCAST]
There are many ways to work towards equity and opportunity in our community, but urban farming might not be the first thing that comes to mind.  Melvin Parsons saw the trade as a way forward for himself and is now expanding and giving back through his “We the People Growers Association” and the “We the People Opportunity Center.”  Parson joined WEMU’s David Fair for this week’s installment of “Washtenaw United.”
WEMU has partnered with the United Way of Washtenaw County to explore the people, organizations, and institutions creating opportunity and equity in our area.  And, as part of this ongoing series, you’ll also hear from the people benefiting and growing from the investments being made in the areas of our community where there are gaps in available services.  It is a community voice.  It is ‘Washtenaw United.’
Melvin Parson is the founder of We The People Opportunity Center (WTPOC) in Ypsilanti.  As an urban farmer, social justice and equality activist, Parson founded WTPGA to empower people to make a positive contribution to their community through education and positive social networks using gardening and farming as the vehicle for change.  Melvin was also chosen at The Henry Ford’s inaugural entrepreneur in residence.
