I'm not doing any proper one shots/multi chap things with it but I could do some hcs for you :) this is... a bit light on the actual Marco x reader tho tbh

Honestly if you're already in a relationship with him, this would realistically be a point of tension. No, the harpy kid latching onto him isn't his fault, and you're not some villain who thinks the kid should just be abandoned- but it's kind of a big deal if your boyfriend spontaneously adopts a child without consulting you whatsoever. Needless to say a very long conversation is going to be in order at the very least. He's not a bad person for taking in an orphan, and you are not a bad person for going "hey bringing a kid home isn't something you just DO to a partner wth man"

But assuming you do have that discussion, and you are okay with things after they've been explained, then it's gonna be him trying to make it clear that You are his partner. Kissing you while they're present, making sure you're included in meals, having you groom his bird form and just playing up the casual affection in general.

If you share a bed with Marco that might be challenging the first couple nights. He sets up a little nesting box by the bed, but the kid really really wants to cuddle. They think it's really weird that you're there- but is able to settle if you stay on his opposite side.

But they warm up to you and Thatch pretty fast. Thatch is the food guy and you are... another parent. I give it three days tops before they interrupt the performative preening of your boyfriend by plopping themselves down in your lap with some grumbly chirping sounds, fluffing themselves up and expecting you to do the same. Marco grins at you and you try not to get too excited- don't scare em off!

I can see it ending with you in his lap while the kid is in yours, melting into a little feathered pile. Now they want to sleep between you two at night, squished between both of their new parents.

They're not gonna get your name right. Marco is "Maro" for a bit, and then "Margo" for even longer. With Thatch, they struggle through what sounds a bit more like "Tadge," but gets frustrated bc they know it's not right. If they're especially fed up they settle for yelling "AAA" at him. Ace gets it the worst he's "Ass" for awhile. WILL glare if you laugh about this.

Good chance you end up on baby bird duty while Marco is doing medical work.

Late one night, after the kid is a sleep, he asks you if he should still call you "Baby Bird" as a term of endearment and that it feels a little weird now... you agree but you aren't sure. Maybe it's just an in private thing now..?

Finding babysitting for dates isn't an issue this kid has hundreds of aunts and uncles. Thatch is a common choice- he's had special gloves commissioned so he can teach the kid cooking without their hand fluff getting dirty.

Meanwhile, you two get some alone time together, whether it's on some island for a proper date or just relaxing together in his cabin. Despite the reputation of the WBP, Marco is a reasonable person who understands that bringing a random child into a pre-existing relationship is a lot. He does check in with you a lot- he's a busy guy, but he does his best to make it clear you're still a priority. Odds are you're used to this sort of thing since he's a doctor and a division commander. He's got shit to do.

If you two have the uh. Equipment to reproduce, then one night he asks how you feel about another kid. He's very careful about it. He isn't certain on whether or not he wants another, but he'd be lying if he hadn't thought about it, is all. Odds are you don't wanna handle pregnancy on a ship this busy. But you do joke that if you happen to find some other sad little bird kid on some other island... Well, it might be good for them both, honestly.

SOOO the title for 05X6 dropped and I'm going feral

Be prepared to hear my long ass theory about this episode and why it will be the rayllum fully gets back together episode (I'm annoying)

Of course we already know season 6 will mirror S3 or at least that's what it looks like. "Moonless Night" is episode 5‚ the same one when Callum and Rayla first got together‚ just as 4 had the title of the place they reach. (The Midnight Desert‚ The Starcrapper)

I have to add‚ just as season 3 had Nyx‚ there's this sky girl called Astrid who may act as the Nyx parallel‚ who knows.

I don't use Discord but my info provider (hello there) told me Devon said episode five would be emotionally heavy and a favourite. A person said ep2 of season 5 were their favourite because the cute rayllum moments and Devon said "until 5 of 6" 🧐

Aparently, it was confirmed by writers this episode would DESTROY people KILL EVEN, well maybe not that but you get me. We know how emotional these two blorbos are for each other right? and we for them. Now let's go to the juicy part. The title. This title is absolutely loaded. like wth. We all know whose favourite girl is related to the moon right? of course we are worried. But I think she's gonna be ok, in the end at least, let me explain.

Of course I'm asuming this scene from the teaser may be from episode 5. We see Callum falling in a moonless night but I'm guessing the title isn't that literal. I think Callum is falling emotionally and literally just as he has before for Rayla. He fell in love with her‚ he fell off a cliff for her and then fell emotionally when she left. The sky he is in is dark‚ no moon‚ representing his own mental state without Rayla. Rayla left him at night just as Callum is falling in the night (omg)

Callum had a moonless night every day for two years because his guiding moon wasn't in his life. I think they may talk about it or it will affect Callum in this episode some way.

Note that the teaser opens with this scene, next we have Aaravos saying "we are all of us, stardust, held together by love for an instant"

Whatever Callum is about to do I highly doubt Rayla will agree with it because you know how they are (me getting hurt is ok but not you). He convinces her like he did in TTM‚

But this time Rayla is the one to say it

I think that even if Callum promises he will be ok‚ he will have a "I want you to know" moment again and that may lead to talking about her leaving. This may derive into a kinda argument. Callum and Rayla can't continue their talk because they get interrumped (once again) but the memories of a broken heart and feelings affects him badly. He's just emotionally distraught and loses his love wings because whatever. I doubt Rayla isn't seeing any of this, you know how she is. She didn't spend 7 hours watching him sleep to actually not watch this like c'mon

This time Rayla may be the one saving Callum from falling (literally and metaphorically). Now yeah Rayla can't fly but maybeeee

A: she calls out for his name, "waking" him up

B: she just jumps (im going for this one) like Callum did for her. She jumps, not knowing if it's going to work, wakes him up after catching him‚ Callum is able to get his wings back and fly them both into safety, Callum gets his love wings again for her but this time she's being the savior (in the most part). Maybe even completing whatever mission they ask as well. TOGETHER.

After this we may get a Rayla is a hero speech or this time Callum is a hero speech, I don't know‚ I think it would be more fitting if it's from Callum and the hero Callum speech is from Rayla to her parents. Whateve, they finally have their three sesaon dragged conversation and they both kiss like in S3 but maybe reversed this time (Rayla kissing first and apologizing and Callum kissing her next) and they fully come back together :'). I dont think we will get an I love you until ep 9 but we won't really need it here right? we already know!

The episode ends with them kissing under the moon. Moonless Night ending with with a moon night (metaforically and literally)

Alright here's chapter 1! Please don't hesitate on giving constructive criticism. Once again, I have no idea wth I am doing nor do I know where I am going with the story.

Prologue - Chapter 1 (You are here) - Chapter 2

"So tell us, how long was becoming a model your dream?"

You blink, and smile sheepishly, before answering,

"Well, it never was that much of a dream for me to be honest. It was just a job to get a roof over my head."

"Really?" The host asks looking shocked, "The most famous model in all the galaxy never even dreamed of it? How does that happen? Did you fall on hard times?"

You pause, having thought of a fake backstory before hand, one that hides the truth while revealing little tidbits. You aren't [Y/N] Ivy anymore, she died when your parents dropped her fake body in their living room for the servants to discover.

"You see, my parents one day told me that I'd be going to a stay with a relative on another planet. They gave me a duffel and shipped me off. It wasn't till I got there did I discover the letter in my bag, telling me that they never wanted me in the first place and I was officially disowned. So I was only 15, lost on another planet, no money or anything. I found my Mother Agency and walked in, as it had started raining. There, they gave me a position to model for them, saying they'd provide a roof to stay under, and the rest is history!"

If only that were the truth. That would be easier to bear. Then you wouldn't feel guilty for eating three meals a day. Then you wouldn't be afraid of dark enclosed spaces. Then you wouldn't feel like you can't be anything less than perfect. If only.

"Oh, what a truly heartbreaking tale. Do you know why your parents would do such a thing?"

I can tell the truth here somewhat more at least.

"My mom was jealous of me. I guess my beauty was always there, even when I was a mere child."

"And your father?"

The interview continues, going in a more positive direction, maybe you are not as good at hiding your emotions as you thought. Doesn't matter though, you don't like reliving the past. It hurts too much. It sometimes feels like you traded the stone cage from your parents for the gilded cage of fame. But what else can you do, you never received enough education to get into any academy, just enough to read and write well

"Good wives must have the skills to be their husband's secretary! How will you ever do something with your appalling grammar?"

"Mother, I just forgot a comma! I'm sorry!"

"Are you talking back to me girl? I should've known I was being too soft on you. Bring me my belt servant!"

As the maid disappears from the room, you begin to tear up, knowing what was coming.

You blink out of the memory, as the host begins his last question.

"Now, for anyone out there who want s to be a model, what do you have to say?"

"The standards for beauty are high, but don't let them stop you. Don't stop eating trying to get skinnier, don't spend thousands of credits trying to get clearer skin. True beauty comes within, it's a shame that not many people believe that in this industry."

The crowd applauds you as the host grabs your hand to help you stand up and take a bow, smiling for the camera one last time.

I was talking to some real life friends who ship Zvtara and we were talking about ATLA. I was jokingly like, "How could you ship that?"

And literally their main point was that Katara is too hot-headed to be with Aang. So she needs to be with Zuko. Who is also hot-headed.

Like. I love my friends but wth. Everyone is free to ship what they want, regardless of if it would be healthy irl, but that really solidified why ZK is not for me.

I love how Katara and Aang help each other regulate their emotions. Katara brings Aang out of the Avatar state in the Southern Air temple, when his rage and grief are all consuming. Aang helps Katara reflect in TSR, when her rage and grief are at their peak.

I also love Maiko, because they call each other out on their bs. Mai doesn't let Zuko get away with being weird and jealous. Zuko, although he words the sentiment very poorly in his anger, encourages Mai to show her emotions. He says he likes the side of her that her parents all but destroyed.

Ship ZK if you want ig, but it's not the best dynamic at all.

I wouldn't really say it is impossible for two hot-headed people to make a good couple, be it in real life or in fiction, but it IS more difficult than having a relationship with someone who's more chill.

For me, personally, the problem with zutara is that they neved demonstrated interest in each other and clearly want very different things in life - THAT is a nail in the coffin because it makes me doubt that they'd ever want to start a relationship with each other, let alone be able to make it work despite their short-fuses.

"Katara is too hot-headed to be with Aang" meanwhile she literall latches onto him immediately because he brought joy and fun back to her life.

I found it rather annoying that there are people out there using 'You are homophobic' as the last stand when someone explains why they dislike a certain homo ship ( albeit only bringing up points about the relationship and how it's written, yet it has nothing to do with gender whatsoever ).

It comes off as gaslighting and want that person to suffer by getting harrased for being accused of being homophobic ( when there's no evidence that they are or that they ship another homo ship ).
