Ah, I didn't want to break your heart. Inspiration struck. And y'know, as Usopp's lawyer, this particular case always has me working overtime. HEHE. Here’s a close up:

Fan art for my new Usopp-centric fan fic, “Could Be Something, Nothing.”

Yes, yes. I'm starting a new ongoing fan fiction.

I'm sharing some original characters (three are not OCs). I included some of these characters in a potential art fight, and I wanted a good reference for the future while writing. The initials represent the arcs.

Premise, basically: Yasopp's enemies are targeting Usopp, but he is defended by 18 individuals who owe Yasopp a favor. These allies help Usopp fight off threats during each arc, both pre-timeskip and post-timeskip. Each person is assigned to a specific island or village, as illustrated in the accompanying image. The rest of the crew is unaware of this aspect of Usopp's life and journey, as he keeps it a secret. It's hard to predict how they would react if they learned the truth; his friends don’t understand him as well as they believe they do. Usopp is skilled at keeping secrets and doesn’t plan on revealing this to his crew anytime soon because, after all, Luffy's dream is what matters most, right? Find the story here.

All I can say is, the weakling trio would be bad a**es in the Kim Possible verse.

Notes:

Usopp is Ron Stoppable coded. Like, for real. It was said that if Kim didn’t have Ron, Shego would’ve been an’ defeated Kim. That’s what Shego said, and I feel like that’s what Usopp is to the crew. Besides, Usopp made Nami’s climatact. Think about that, will you. Nami was a bada** with a pole arm before the climatact, but C’MON. The climatact made her an even bigger bada**.

I remember the episode where Ron has to stall the talent show for Kim (because she signed up to participate), and he did every possible thing to make the talent show last long enough for Kim to show up since she was stuck in a mission. And he ironically ended up winning. Usopp would’ve so done that for Nami.

Ron and Usopp have superhero alter egos. (Sogeking/Fearless Ferret)

Ron and Usopp have names that describe them to a T. (USO (lie)/Stoppable)

Chopper is a whiz kid, so he’d totally be their tech guy who’s a recluse.

Nami and Kim have that girl boss energy. And they’re smart as h*ll. Nami could juggle being a spy and school.

And if anyone ships Nami and Usopp, they do have a nice thing going on like Ron and Kim.

Nami and Usopp have a Ron and Kim dynamic, low key.

When they “fought” Enel and during all of Onigashima, it was so Ron and Kim-coded.

Welcome to My Blog! 😁 🚨 ⚖️👩🏾‍⚖️

Hello, I’m @wesleysniperking, also known? as Usopp’s lawyer. A while ago, my life changed forever when I stumbled upon an anime about a straw-hatted boy and the world of pirates. From the start, I declared a long-nosed, “lying” underdog—Usopp—as my favorite Straw Hat and character in One Piece.

Before diving into One Piece, I received one warning and plenty of surprises. The warning? To steer clear of the fandom due to its toxicity. My twin sister told me this, and I heeded her advice for a while…until, inevitably, I found myself tangled in heated debates defending a certain long-nosed sniper. Now, I can’t even return to my YouTube account without being reminded of those arguments.

As for the surprises, most revolved around Usopp, and I embraced each one with a healthy dose of skepticism and acceptance. What draws me to Usopp is his complex and often polarized reception, his charm, and his status as an underdog. That’s why I’ve taken it upon myself to represent him. Usopp isn’t my first “case”—I’ve championed similar characters in other fandoms, and those cases are still ongoing.

While I’m 100% Team Usopp, my goal isn’t to gatekeep, rage bait, or play the victim (despite being accused of all three). My mission is to understand why Usopp is so frequently ostracized, penalized, and subjected to unfair perceptions. From unconscious bias to harsh, off-target criticism, it’s been a long battle—but no complaints here. Usopp is worth rooting for.

Flaws aside, I can never justify the level of unfairness and so-called "objective" criticism thrown his way. Maybe it’s projection, maybe it’s bias, but what I bring is a fresh perspective. I’m Usopp’s lawyer, here to fight his case! Reporting for duty—Usopp-centric, baby!

Let’s get 1960s grooooooovy.

But seriously, I was hit with so much emotions yesterday when on the One Piece metaverse. I had to write a lot of analyses (future blog posts) and such. But then I thought of happy things. And good things are to come for Usopp. I truly believe so.

And Usopp is telling his fans to not give up on him. Like, seriously.

We Usopp fans might be a small group of people, but we got a lot of heart.
