"We deserve to have our wrongdoing represented as much as our heroism, because when we refuse wrongdoing as a possibility for a group of people, we refuse their humanity.”

Unpopular opinion of Marcus Aurelius – and highly thought-provoking:
“In comparing sins (the way people do) Theophrastus says that the ones committed out of desire are worse than the ones committed out of anger: which is good philosophy. The angry man seems to turn his back on reason out of a kind of pain and inner convulsion. But the man motivated by desire, who is mastered by pleasure, seems somehow more self-indulgent, less manly in his sins.
Theophrastus is right, and philosophically sound, to say that the sin committed out of pleasure deserves a harsher rebuke than the one committed out of pain. The angry man is more like a victim of wrongdoing, provoked by pain to anger. The other man rushes into wrongdoing on his own, moved to action by desire.” © Marcus Aurelius, “Meditations”.

Wealth by Unrighteous Means
Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, That he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil! — Habakkuk 2:9 | Cambridge Paragraph Bible (CAMB) The Cambridge Paragraph Bible of the Authorized English Version, by Scrivener, Frederick Henry Ambrose, 1813-1891. Day Seven of Nine Days of Devotionals for Oðinn
Inspired by Cat Heath who spoke about nine days of devotional work for Oðinn until 9/9, I decided to take this up. It has been a long time since I have done a set number of days making devotionals, and this seemed a good time to start. Inspiration drives desire To find the mead and set the fire Break the back The skin will bleed Find if you can do the deed Sharpened scythe The red…

Quote
Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man -- you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself -- that you will escape the judgment of God?
Romans 2:1-3 ESV (2016)

Prayer of three people are always answered
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The supplications of three are never turned back: a fasting person until he breaks his fast, a just leader, and the supplication of the oppressed is raised above the clouds by Allah, the gates of heaven open for it and the Lord says: By My might, I will surely help you in due time.”

Just to think that in Judaism, admitting being in the wrong is the first and decisive step to personal redemption.....
Internet mobs will be like "why doesnt anyone just ADMIT when theyre WRONG anymore??!!" and then treat someone like they deserve the death penalty because they said something off-colour on twitter when they were 14
No one will admit that they were wrong if you treat being wrong like its an eternal indictment against them with no chance for rehabilitation
