Hi! It's me again with recommendations! :) Like in the previous post with these, I am trying to focus on less known fic writers and works that have less than 1000 (if they are older) or 500 views (for newer ones). Buried Alive Inside My Dreams by Catwalksalone - M, 1.8k words, Izzy-centered. A sad, emotional Izzy backstory fic. CW: referenced SA and domestic violence. F/M relationship.

Or Mind Can Hide by Petrichorca - T, 6k words, Ed/Stede, modern day medical AU. Ed is a neurologist and Stede is a patient with partial amnesia. Includes a lot of beautiful poetry.

On Barren Sands by Gwyllion - G, 1.8k words, Ed/Stede. A beautifully written piece, a real gem about Stede and Ed making their peace after getting back together.

The Lake in the Moonlight by Shadow_Side - E, 4.5 words, Ed/Stede. A first-time smut fic, with demisexual Stede.

And The Rest by Bazzle - M, 4.7k words, Black Pete/Lucius, minor Ed/Stede. A fic written from the POV of Lucius and Black Pete. Includes some whump! CW: sex work

Chain, Keep Us Together by Omnishambles - M, 7.5k words, Ed/Izzy, Ed/Jack. A pre-canon Blackbeard character study. CW: violence

Moonlight Becomes You by Shalamarr - M, 5.5k words, Ed/Stede. A modern day werewolf AU! Ed is a veterinarian and Stede has an unusual secret...

The Perfect Picture of Afterglow by Kaeruhime8 - G, 115 words, Jim/Oluwande. A criminally underrated fluff drabble about the teal oranges pair. Wholesome.

Over The Hills and Far Away by TimesBeingWhatTheyAre - G, 1.6k words, Ed/Stede. A Stede character study, getting deeper into his love for the sea. Heartbreaking but in a beautiful way.

Frenchie Knows the Truth About Cats by PolluxDevia - G, 889 words. The story behind Frenchie's belief that cats are witches.

Constant Like the Northern Star by SweetPollyOliver - T, 816 words, Frenchie/Wee John. A lovely short fic about Frenchie helping Wee John with his back pain.

The Lovers, The Dreamers, and Swede by PhantomEllie - G, 1k words. Swede-centered modern AU. A lovely story in which the Swede is NOT the butt of the joke, but instead a friendly, happy stoner-hippie man.

Botanical Splendor by Curious_Crow - G, 653 words. A cute microfic about the arts and crafts day on the Revenge.

So... I’ve been reading the only really good Bulk fics on AO3 the last few days that have aged very well since 2017 (shoutout to the softest of the lot being @obstinatecondolement​; seriously people) that actually coincide (more or less...just the one odd one out) with both the MMPR and the Go Go Power Rangers comics and realized that THESE FRAMES hit really different if you’ve read that work.  I mean, Bulk is adorable in the comics NO MATTER WHAT (and I stand by this even in Ranger Slayer, if not more so) but these are just like their own little moodboard for him.

Just to make my point, I’m also just gonna take this opportunity to recommend the reading for this precious boy. @elsonambulo this is iiiit, the thing they do that I’m obsessing over right now that you’re writing so deliciously (and so many writers are writing about so deliciously, seriously am living for it, like have y’all looked at this fic yet by SweetPollyOliver / @obstinatecondolement??!), where even though it’s love, they’re constantly fighting for who’s on top - Kreese used to be in-charge, the protector to Terry’s “Twig,” and now Kreese has nothing to offer, because Terry has everything

Like, yeah, he lets Terry take the reigns in TKK3, but before that he’s been paying rent even though, as Terry said, he bought the dojo it for him! And it’s love, but it’s also a power-play. 

I can imagine that he kind of likes Terry doing all of this torturing-a-teenager for him (although what would he think if he knew Terry’s feelings about Daniel...), insofar as he does want some kind of payback, although, not before Terry puts the idea in his head if I’m remembering correctly... the idea to hurt Daniel alll came from Terry, Kreese didn’t ask for his knuckles to bleed until way into planning... 

But maybe that’s the simple reason why the Cobra Kai “chain of dojos” disappeared afterwards, and the simple reason why Terry and Kreese disappeared out of Daniel’s life.

Getting banned from a single tournament shouldn’t stop them, but Kreese never wanted anything from Terry. He wanted to be with Terry, but not on his terms, on the old terms, when Terry was Twig and needed his help. 

When he says an old buddy offered him a job, I imagine Terry constantly having grand plans and “here’s how we bounce back” and Kreese is... just a guy. I presume he had the one dream (Cobra Kai) and it got destroyed through his own bullshit, but he’s damned if he’s going to be less of a man for that (and he’ll probably never tell Terry that they wouldn’t let him back into the army either). 

and the only way he can regain control is by cutting ties with Terry, even though he actually wants him. And Terry lets it happen, because the tighter he grips those reigns, the more Kreese slips through his fingers (and then there’s another HC I have that Terry’s kept tabs on him all these years as he was too proud/scared to ask for help, which I gueeess means he might know that Kreese got Cobra Kai back......) 

And now, finally, Kreese is calling him again. Kreese needs him again. I can fully imagine someone like Terry Silver waiting 35 years for that phonecall.

because the only way they can conceptualize their love for each other is through who has the most power. Who needs the other the most. 

and that dynamic is going to be put to the test when they’re in each others orbits again...

Hi anon, sure! there's so many I could recommend really, there's a lot of great fics in this fandom and a lot I loved.
