It's been a few months since you've been recruited into the spider society, your skills and judgement proving useful to Miguel.

You were a good asset, known by most of the spiders by now. Within those few months, you met Gwen. You two clicked almost immediately, your struggles being similar as both teenage, female super soldiers. Through her, you met Miles, Pav, Gayatri, and, of course, Hobie.

They all had their specific qualities that you admired, Miles for his creativity, Gwen for her attitude, Pav for his ability to light up a room, Gayatri's charm, and Hobie's ability to always speak up for what was right.

And maybe his smile isn't so bad too.

Maybe the way he leans on you any chance he gets is starting to become endearing? And how he gives you a hug everytime you come back from a solo mission? It's so sweet of him. What if the way his boots thumped on the floor became more comforting instead of startling?

And maybe it's the fact his arm is lazily draped around your middle as he burrows his face on your back, mumbling something in his sleep. Wait..

You blinked at the lava lamp, all five of you having a sleepover in Miles's room. You looked around the room as much as you could. Gayatri and Pav are holding hands as they sleep, their sleeping bags next to each other, while Gwen has unconsciously taken the blanket from Miles, both snoring loudly on the bed.

When did you get here? How did you get here? And more importantly, how have you been this clueless?

You reflect on yourself, going completely still under Hobie's arm. "Hand holding... stealing each other's clothes... having random hangouts every day or two... constantly laying next to each other... OH. MY. GOD." You thought, sirens soon blasting in your head.

Removing yourself from his grasp, you quickly shuffle to the bathroom, careful not to disturb anyone sleeping. Looking at yourself in the mirror, the side of your hair ruffled, sleep clinging to your lashes, you were absolutely furious. As well as dumbfounded and sort of feeling doomed?

"How could I not have realized I liked him? What's wrong with me?! This cannot be happening." Your mind raced with thoughts 300 miles an hour as you paced around the small bathroom, hands on your face. "Does he like me back? What do I do if he does? What if he actually hates me?! UGH WAIT, he doesn't even believe in labels- he shouldn't be seeing me as some sort of girlfriend, right?!" You kept repeating in your head. Not realizing the fact that the man was smitten with you and didn't care at the slightest to hide it.

Amidst your thoughts, a very disgruntled Hobie comes up to the door. Your senses not alerting you since it knew he wasn't a threat. He knocked on the door, holding back a yawn.

You cursed under your breath. Opening the door reluctantly, expecting a concerned Morales parent. Instead, you see the man who's plagued your mind, looking down at you with a frown.

"Hey.. what's wrong?" You spoke, voice a little scratchy from sleep.

"Come back to bed.." He mumbles, but enough for you to hear as he hooks his finger with your pinky, tugging on you gently.

You hummed, looking down at your hands together. The sight was familiar. Actually, none of this felt foreign at all. It never did. Maybe your unknowingness helped with the build up of your relationship, or maybe this was just so bound to happen that it never felt new.

You huffed, both your hands intertwining fully. Clicking off the bathroom lights quickly, you both walked back to the bedroom.

"I'll think about it tomorrow.." You figured as he shifted himself next to you, arms wrapping around your middle again before he lays his head on your chest. You cradled his head, thumb drawing circles on his neck. Tiredness getting the best of you, you soon sent yourself to sleep as well.
