Your Johan fic oh my god...Im so happy I got to live the day to witness you actually writing it. My week is made fr. The way you wrote the monologue is one thing but the actions after is a whole different thing. Not only where you able to completely craft the dialogue between Johan and reader but also the impact those words do. they're terrifying strong and you managed to pitray it perfectly. Actually while reading what he said to reader it made me feel similar and very sad to the point I started tearing up mid way through the story 😭 but I genuinely think reader response is so beautiful, it's something that I relate to and you managed to convert such a crisis and long term pain with it's conflict into one fanfic that is just beautiful beautiful beautiful work. I honestly don't know how you do it. I have been following you for maybe 3 or more years and the way your writing has drastically improved makes me feel so proud even tho I am beginning to get scared on how well you depict these kind of characters lol. You have changed and became something so much bigger in such a short span of time it's beautiful. I am so proud of you and this recent fanfic reminded me of it honestly. this genuinely is one of my favourite stories now I'll have to mark it down and add it to my list and I hope one day you'll realise some books that I can add more to

i think i need to like ,, lay down because WOW what a message. my heart is genuinely touched by this and i’m struggling to figure out how to put that into words (any ability to write just flew out of my body). writing this story was surprisingly therapeutic for the reasons that you mentioned. i knew that to write an effective johan story, there’d need to be some of him verbally digging into the reader. i decided to pick a topic i’m extremely sensitive about to be able to capture that psychic damage he’s capable of inflicting (aka why i made this post). i was worried whether or not the warning “manipulation” could fully cover everything, because if you can even slightly relate to the way johan was coming for reader, it’d be ouch ouch. but i was hoping reader’s response would somewhat mitigate that. 

carl jung’s discussion about the shadow is what i was mostly basing johan off of in the story, specifically the discussion of it in this quote: 

"The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. To become conscious of it involves recognizing the dark aspects of the personality as present and real. This act is the essential condition for any kind of self-knowledge.” 

i think it’s imperative to come to terms with the more unsightly aspects of yourself, since without acknowledging them, they remain permanent blind spots. i was plagued pretty intensely with social anxiety disorder (along with GAD) in my teenage years, and something that came from that was like. this visceral want to be needed by others. the equation in my mind was people need me = i’m not annoying and it���s justifiable for me to be around. 

it took some later reflection to realize my obsession with self-martyrdom to solidify my place with others is Not in fact good, but at the same time, an urge i shouldn’t beat myself up over. of course we long to be wanted! who doesn’t? so long as we can check our motivations and keep this part of ourselves in line as much as possible, i don’t think it’s an ugly thing. i hope that anyone who struggles/has struggled with something similar can read the story and come to a similar conclusion. 

man maybe i’m gonna cry now 😭😭 thank you for supporting me over three years, that’s actually insane to think about?? it really has been that long hasn’t it... my understanding of evil has definitely improved from writing all these dark stories, i wonder if that’ll ever come in handy . mayhaps mayhaps. probably not. sometimes we need useless skills. i’ll keep working to improve my writing, i feel like the biggest help has been how often i do it and the fact i’m actually reading published books now JKGEMR i don’t know why i avoided doing it for so long. i’ve been so pretentious in thinking they had nothing to offer me omg.

okay okay here's something else i just thought of: guys are yandere for reader right?

plot twist! they're all gods and reader is a mortal who just wants to live their life. but there's four hardheaded gods who're obsessed with them for one reason or another. they try to convince reader to become a god with them, or at least a demigod, so that reader can be bound to them, but reader's like "mmm im gonna say nah."

so instead, the four keep screwing over any other mortal even remotely seems like they're interested in their mortal.

reader, knowing things are basically out of their control, is just like "sigh." each time before going back to just trying to live normally.

i think a good point of contention in this would be that, since gods don't really reveal themselves to mortals willy nilly, the four make natural disasters and bad accidents happen to people that are interested in reader. and eventually people start to connect the dots wrong and assume reader is cursed or smth, so woopsie doodles reader's supposed to get sacrificed

do with this what you will, i just love your works and i wanna see what you come up with!

Freezing to death was not as romantic as everyone said it was. Dying in the cold did not bring you clarity or a slow warmth as you hallucinated a loved one. No, you shivered your ass off as you tugged and pulled at the rope keeping you tied to the tree. From what you could see, the skin on your hands and arms was slowly turning blue. My thoughts: I sent Scout 23 messages about them this morning before she woke up you don't want me to pop off here. In short, i think they have a really fascinating dynamic and the shift in their relationship breaks my heart. I am always thinking about their shift from being the only ones they have TOGETHER (we're the strongest) to being the only ones they have ALONE (i'm the strongest). I think the shift from geto being his moral compass to going off the deep end is just so interesting to think about and also lord help me even 10 years later they arent over their breakup they are in love.

What makes me happy about them: I love thinking about their time in school together and the small moments they would have had together, i love the idea of two incredibly powerful characters trusting each other despite their differences and the fact that they GENUINELY are the only ones who knew the other? wow.

What makes me sad about them: God, everything. How if Satoru had been a little less emotionally closed off and really talked to Suguru about whats wrong we could have had it all, but also Suguru wasn't being open either.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: acting like Gojo was the only one in the relationship that was bad about being in a relationship. they were both not good at talking about their feelings

Things I look for in fanfic: Angst angst angst; gentle touches and just. lingering on them being physically affectionate; them being little shits to each other but also its flirtatious

My wishlist: oh i want to see some deeply angst shit when Gojo gets out of the box and sees Kenny. Whether its him seeing Yuta having killed Geto so he doesnt have to again or if he has to kill him a second time- i just want Gojo to cry about his dead boyfriend.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Akutami has literally said Gojo isn't likely to be faithful to a single woman so i truly don't know that he could have a partner in the end? I think him ending up simply as a teacher surrounded by students who care about him is his best possible ending. And Geto is well. I don't think he's ending up with anyone.

My happily ever after for them: Ok i KNOW he's not gonna come back but i have a small little glimmer of hope and in the fix-it fic in my brain they make it out of all this shit together and go resolve their trauma far away from everything. The most likely ending i feel like is. Gojo being buried near Geto or being with him after death.

How I feel about this character: I once again point to the 23 messages i sent to scout before she woke up.

ANYWAY Gojo is the loneliest person in all of jjk welcome to my tedtalk. I think he is such an interesting character that gets reduced to jokes by a lot of the fandom (and yes i am guilty of making jokes about him too because he is fun to slander) but in reality he has been through so much and he is untouchable by the way their society works and literally untouchable by pretty much everything and despite how much he cares he can't get too attached because he's seen firsthand what their world is like and he wants to change it. He literally had one person he trusted and they left him and its any wonder he distances himself from others? I think he genuinely cares but is so emotionally closed off because of his upbringing and the expectations the world has on him but it is so clear that despite the fact that he is trying to get his students to be. More than him so they can change the system, he also wants them to have what he didn't.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: He said it himself. His one and only. You don't break up with someone outside KFC and then still think about them 10 years later.
