anyway i have to give a presentation for my ap gov final tomorrow which originally was just going to be about the effect of conspiracy theories on political activity (think qanon, jan 6 etc) but i ended up putting it off until tonight, predictable because i'm 17 with roblox on my phone and haven't taken my adhd meds for a long time, but it means i have much more liberty to change the premise last-minute and considering the horrifying news out of colorado today i think i am going to adapt it to cover the overlap of conspiracy theories with antisemitism and the pipeline to like. radical extremism. it probably won't go over especially well with my classmates because Room Full Of Sheltered White Upper Middle Class Teenagers From An Overwhelmingly Liberal Small Town Has Exactly The Opinions On Israel/Palestine That You Might Expect, but the teacher at least worked in israel for several years as a part of her thesis so i know worst comes to worst she will back me up and also? we are literally 5 days from the end of the year i'm scared but so is like every jewish person in the world right now so i am choosing not to give a shit about what my classmates think. wish me luck

is it bad if i script i’m half korean in my kpop dr??

not that i need to justify my choices but . regardless: i’ve been teaching myself korean since 2016 (which is when i became a kpop fan) and i chose it as a subject in my 11th and 12th grades in high school (2020-21) — meaning, i was tested and this subject was one of the contributing factors to my final rank as a graduate (self brag but , i aced the exams) .. i still study the subject and the culture out of genuine interest and am part of the korean language club in my university (since 2022) so.. idk is it bad if i want to immerse myself in the culture more? is it bad that i feel a familial love for a particular k-idol and would like to script him as part of my family? i’m seriously unsure and would like advice ..

So for spooky season (my favorite season) I wanna write more Ghostmmet oneshots, or at least one or two other ones! I have several ideas lol

But I also wanna write a noncanon crossover with ABYS, where instead of being found in time in ABYS, Emmet dies and becomes a ghost and things get real crazy around the station for a while.

Would people be interested in that, or do y'all think it would be too much? I have. Several ideas, and I think it would be so fun to focus on the spooky horror aspect. Something something a violent end leads to a violent awakening, classic haunting shit, stuff like that. More info in the tags of this post :)

ogfoofodoxx thinking about how the most defining character trait of haymitch is how protective he is. not in the sense it's the most obvious, but how all of his actions are fueled by this desire to protect. how hard he works at keeping katniss alive in the first games, him fighting to keep them from augmenting katniss's body, him yelling at plutarch to keep finnick from having to share his trauma, him being so involved in peeta's recovery and being the one to bring katniss home. him holding mayslee's hand as she died, fighting for plutarch to stay and rescue peeta, being the one to find katniss and finnick when johanna had an episode, begging coin to believe peeta's warning. it being heavily implied or either outright stated that he was one of the people who fought to protect effie.

makes me physically ill because no one does that for him. everyone who would of, died.

Okay so. I don't know how common knowledge the Li-Po doc is and i don't know how many people actually take it as 'canon unless proven otherwise' but I do. Elka's backstory is insanely fleshed out compared to the other campers (aside from Raz and Lili ofc) but the most important part of it to me (regarding Elka and Dogen's friendship) is the fact that her parent's sent her off to Whispering Rock basically because they didn't want to deal with her unusual, doomed fortunes. "Elka was sent to psychic summer camp immediately by her parents. Neither one of them seemed to want to hear what else she might say. So, like so many Dooms before her, Elka was banished." Dogen's is much shorter in the doc, consisting of one sentence: "Dogen’s family just didn’t know what to do with him." And I think Elka and Dogen would bond over that. Neither of their parents knew how/wanted to deal with them and their problematic powers and so they were shipped off to summer camp. Of course telling bad fortunes and blowing up peoples brains isn't the same, but two psychic children with relatively rare abilities cast out by everyone, even their own families...Idk! Then there's the fact that both come from (at least mildly) well known families in the psychic community (I choose to believe the Doom family name is at least somewhat recognized among older psychics considering a. Elka expects the other campers to know about the 'Doom precognition' already ("For one thing, what you've heard is true: The Doom family has has had the gift of future sight for hundreds of years.") and b. the Li-Po doc claims that the Dooms have always been in the public eye for their predictions ("The Dooms’ fortune has swung from celebrity to notorious and back again, all the way up until the time of Elka’s parents.")).

(My other personal hcs for Elka's home and social life also play into this but I wont make this post any longer than it already is. God I can ramble more than Vernon, I swear)

I think they could really have a lot in common if they got to know each other! And not just that, I think they just have really compatible socialization styles as well! Elka loves to talk, obviously, where as Dogen really seems to prefer staying quiet and just listening. I think they would have a whale of a time Elka talking her head off and Dogen just listening while they have brunch or something idk!

They're two outcasts, shunned for abilities they can't control and I really do like to believe that they would not only be life long friends, but value each others friendship heavily, even if from the outside it seems a bit one sided.

What if the reason Vash has that metal grate on his chest is so doctors can't do X-rays or MRIs or other imaging tests? Dude's definitely gotten patched up by people assuming he's fully human while he was knocked out. The easiest way to make sure they don't get a surprise look at whatever his alien internal organ situation is by making sure they can't use the normal machines for any tests, if they even have the machines for it in the first place. And he's already got all that metal imbedded in him, so what's a little more? Especially if his heart situation is, uh, different from humans. Like a different amount, or different placement.

Thinking a LOT about Lucifer in the latest Hazbin episode. Idk what I was expecting but not this??

As I was watching my immediate thought was just "huh... Lucifer is kinda of weird..." but as the episode went on I realized the issue

the dude is off the chain depressed, like he says it as a joke but holy cow it is SO BAD

He's manically just creating rubber ducks cuz his daughter really like it that one time but it's empty, it's never good enough but he keeps doing it, maybe cuz he doesn't know how to pass the time otherwise.

like I get the feeling he HAS better things he SHOULD be doing than making rubber duck after rubber duck. At first I was like, "Bruh why isn't the king of hell doing anything?" aaaaand then it became clear...

The dude is disassociating so bad he can barely hold a conversation let alone remember information. He clearly WANTS to, he wants to be involved with his daughter so bad, he wants to care about the things she's doing so bad, but his depression keeps interfering. It's like he can only hear every other word and he grasps onto the ones he does hear semi-out of context. Like you can see every time he catches something that he hadn't before and he just "well shit I didn't catch that part"

and that's why he reacts so weird when people talk to him. He is struggling so bad to engage with the conversation he's only getting 50% of it

does that look like the face of a man who knows what the hell the conversation is even about??? he is STRUGGLING

like Charlie spent so long telling him about the hotel, and he STILL didn't understand what she wanted. Yeah it comes off as ditzy but literally I've been in that position where your brain just "nope, not doing this right now" and nerfs your conversation comprehension. So as someone who's BEEN in that position, to me it feels exactly like what he's dealing with. He's sorta engaged with the conversation, but only as much as his brain will allow

For example, when I'm dealing with this, this is what someone talking to me feels like this where the crossed out parts are what I missed and bold is what I catch, "Hey! You know I was thinking for dinner we could either make some chicken with rice? But if you don't feel like cooking, pasta is super easy and you love that right? What do you want to do?" you can kinda get that someone is trying to talk to you about dinner, and towards the end you get the impression that they asked something that needs your input so you can decently put 2 and 2 together and try and pass off, but crucial bits were left out, I would have no idea that either chicken or pasta is in the conversation only having heard "rice". When someone is just talking at me, I can decently pass off as being engaged but the second I'm required to participate in the conversation I'm screwed. Seem familiar? At which point I have 2 options, try to give a bullshit answer, or admit that I missed what they were saying and ask them to repeat

Lucifer, unfortunately, is trying so damn hard to hide that he's dealing with like 24/7 dissociation, so he can't admit that he's missing entire chunks of the conversation, hence his really weird replies. He does eventually get the full picture and then he and Charlie start having the real conversation

Also, the Alastor/Lucifer rivalry was hilarious but also really indicative of more of what Lucifer is dealing with

Alastor is, unfortunately, really good at picking up people's insecurities, and thanks to Charlie's description earlier and watching Lucifer clearly trying to overcompensate, he immediately picks up on the fact that Lucifer KNOWS he struggles to be a good dad (we know cuz it's cuz of the depression, hard to be engaged when your brain keeps turning off) and decides to rub salt in the wound by pretending he's been acting as a surrogate father to Charlie. Now why Alastor decided to pick a fight with the king of hell is beyond me, I do not understand Alastor (and I LIKE IT) (maybe it's cuz Alastor thinks he's hot shit and was expecting Lucifer to at least have heard of him but Lucifer just treats him like a nobody? who knows)(why would Lucifer listen to radio anyways when he can't even pay attention to a conversation it'd just be white noise)

Idk Lucifer is tragic to me. Whatever the full details of what heavan did to him absolutely broke him and he can't deal with it. He's aware of it, and he doesn't know how to fix it, so he tries to over compensate and sorta makes an ass out of himself but no one says or does anything cuz this guy is supposed to be THE king of hell

Suddenly it's making a lot more sense why he just rolls over and lets heaven do what it wants and even told Charlie to go in his place the start of the show. He's not in any headspace to hold a basic conversation let alone negotiate! He didn't even know who Alastor was, he's been so out of touch

idk I like him, he seems sweet, I hope Charlie brings some light back into his life. He really needs to get out of that rubber duck room

But I actually tried to think of some slashers and decided on Hannibal 💀

1. bcuz I think it would be funny (he the one yt guy in the barber shop)

2. he’s good at everything tbh and has some sense <- probably respectful of culture (he still a lil stupid tho)

3. in one of the movies chucky said he liked Hannibal, obviously chucky not gonna let a wack mf touch his hair (traumatized bcuz it got shaved off that one time).

Idk the situation in which Hannibal would actually need to braid chucky’s hair but I know he would be the best at it. This is my truth 😌
