do you ship Kyoko and Junko
Tumblr media
Hm.
This! is actually a complicated question!
I'm aware it doesn't look like one, but trust me, it is.
Because! I tend to. not ship things. unless they hit me over the head with it in canon. Or I read a good fanfic and then oh, I see that's a ship, I can see that being a thing, huh. Because I'm, like, shipping blind.
And even then, I rarely actually actively ship things in canon. -shoves massive amounts of Roisa fanfic under the carpet- (And for those of you who want to bring up Harximoff, I'll get to that.)
Most of the time, when I ship something, if I ship something, it's based on writing the dynamic. It's based on writing the characters and oh, huh, I see, that makes sense, cool, got it.
And even then, there's sometimes parameters in place for when I ship that thing. (This is where Harximoff comes in. I do not ship this in canon. I ship it within context of certain aus and fanfic, and in my debatably most canon-compliant fic for them (Finding Family, actually), I would argue that they're more QPR than active etc. It's complicated. It has to be. But this is not what you asked!)
Right now, in regards to Enogiri - Kyoko and Junko - I'm writing the ship for a fic duology (The Thin Line Duology: Of An Endless Infinity and Of A Fatal Captivity, still in the process of being written, etc. etc.), a duology which also includes Junkan and Matsushima (Junko with Mikan and Yasuke, respectively).
I've talked before about both Enogiri and Junkan in context of that duology and how complicated it is to say whether they are ships or not. Because it's complicated, I would hesitantly say that within the context of that duology, yes, I ship it. To an extent. Again, it's complicated because the nature of the ship within that duology is complicated.
Do I universally ship Enogiri? No. Did I start that fic with the intention to write Enogiri? No. Nevertheless, do I find the dynamic of their relationship in that fic fascinating in terms of what I can see it saying about canon - and thus can also take from canon to support what is being written? ABSOLUTELY YES.
I'm more interested in characters and their relational dynamics with each other with regards to Danganronpa than I am with specific ships (Junkan notwithstanding). Sometimes, when writing, those relational dynamics end up as ships. Sometimes, they don't! It really depends on the story.
Which is to say...it's complicated? Yes and no? Maybe? I'm writing the ship but I'm not sure how much I super ship it even in the context of that fic? I like the developments in that fic! But when I talk about Enogiri, it's more from that standpoint than a universal shipping. Ish.
They have a fascinating dynamic, and I'm enjoying playing with it, but I don't know if I will play with it more outside of this context.
But while I'm playing with it in this context, I will definitely be posting about it.
Which I understand doesn't answer your question, but that's the closest I can get to it.
Sorry!

I wish that more English Danganronpa V3 fans knew that in the original Japanese version, Gonta didn’t talk in caveman/Hulk speech. He spoke in normal polite Japanese, only struggling with the meaning of certain words from his lack of experience. He did however talk in third person but Tenko and Angie did as well. In Japanese 3rd person speech works and is used to make characters cute and childish. But in English none of this comes across and instead is just distracting. Its obvious that the NISA translators only kept Gonta in 3rd person to insert weird American humor into the series.
I especially dislike this translation because Gonta is one of the most important characters in ndrv3, especially when it comes to Kokichi’s character arc. Now, instead of being the sweet and naive entomologist who allows the audience to see beneath Kokichi’s mask, he is now seen as nothing but a joke side character.
Which not only ruins Gonta’s entire character but also makes Kokichi’s character and intentions even more confusing.
(No wonder people are confused that Kokichi and Gonta got official Anniversary wine together haha)
To make things worse, they also changed Kokichi’s character by making him more childish and aggressive.(even going as far as changing his sprites on scenes!) I’d say one of the worst mistranslations though was making his whiteboard have “trustworthy?” written below the photo of Shuichi. In Japanese it says something more along the lines of “dangerous?” or “untrustworthy?”. I really don’t know how they messed this up but it was likely because there was a translator who wanted Kokichi to be shipped with the protagonist. The translation error to me was strange because most of his interactions with Shuichi were negative so, to suddenly say that Shuichi was the only one he trusted would feel like a contradiction. It’s also frustrating because, the original whiteboard translation imo implies that Kokichi may have suspected that Shuichi was the mastermind which is SO INTERESTING and gives their dynamic so much more depth.
Tumblr media
In conclusion: NISA ruined V3 lol

Why Nagito Komaeda and Izuru Kamukura could be a canon pair in a no-despair AU
Sure, we only have two official scenes where we see them properly interact. But we also have a lot of official non-canon material that has them interact with each other. This leads me to believe that Kamukoma could have been a real, canon ship if the despair tragedy in Danganronpa didn't exist (this is a theory thing I have posted and pinned on all my social media lmao)
Tumblr media
Firstly, let’s keep in mind that Nagito has a canon ‘crush’ on Izuru (crushes can mean anything that’s an infatuation, romantic or not). His song, Zettai Kibō Birthday, is literally about him wanting to “do it” with the “absolute hope” he met on campus.
Tumblr media
There is also another song he has, Poison (Gekiyaku), where he talks about wanting to meet and love "the biggest hope". Izuru Kamukura is the Ultimate Hope, the absolute hope. It's undeniable that Nagito has a crush on Izuru and likes him romantically and/or sexually.
Tumblr media
Moving on: There are two scenes in the anime where we see Nagito and Izuru interact.
First scene, aka THE scene. Nagito’s crush on Izuru began here. He didn’t know Izuru was the Ultimate Hope, he just fell for him. Kazutaka Kodaka even describes this scene as similar to a beautiful, elegant dance. (also, why did Izuru have to grab Nagito by his waist in that scene?? He could've grabbed his back for support instead, which I assume is far more convenient??)
Tumblr media
The other anime scene we see them interact may not be with the real Izuru Kamukura, but instead, it's with the AI Alter Ego version of him: The World Destroyer. There are no official sources of Izuru Kamukura smiling (to my knowledge as of so far), except in here. For context: After World Destroyer (AI Izuru) brings up the emotion of "hope" to Nagito in the Danganronpa 2.5 OVA, Nagito starts recalling this emotion. While he reflects on this concept out loud, we see a frame of World Destroyer smiling at him.
Tumblr media
Now considering all this, why was THIS the scene that Izuru was smiling?
Did he enjoy hearing Nagito talk about hope?
Or was he happy that Nagito was returning back to his normal self?
Either way, he is only smiling because of Nagito; It's safe to say he does not find Nagito boring since he smiled
Anime aside, we see 1 more canon interaction between Izuru and Nagito. And that's from the second game, chapter 0.
Tumblr media
Yes, in this scene Izuru is very openly annoyed by Nagito. But keep in mind, this isn't regular Nagito Komaeda, this is a Remnant of Despair. He is brainwashed by Junko's despair influence, therefore he isn't himself. Would you consider Sonia to still be herself during her time as a Remnant of Despair who convinced her whole country to die?
Tumblr media
Unlike Nagito’s world from the 2.5 OVA, Nagito has been forcefully altered to be induced with despair. This is not the real him.
In the OVA scene, Izuru smiles because Nagito was returning to his true self. In this scene, Izuru finds Nagito boring because he is a Remnant of Despair
Therefore, it’s logical to think that Izuru is slightly interested in the REAL Nagito.
Also adding on the Izuru-finds-Nagito's-real-personality-to-be-interesting theory:
Tumblr media
World Destroyer in the OVA openly admits to finding Nagito to act unpredictably for him. And all Izuru ever does is complain about things being boring since everything is predictable for him. If he finds Nagito to be someone he could not predict, doesn't that mean there's a chance Izuru finds Nagito interesting rather than boring?
Now, time for non-canon stuff:
Tumblr media
Still sticking to the Izuru finds Nagito unpredictable—therefore interesting—argument: This scene in Danganronpa S shows Nagito offering Izuru himself to be someone who listened to his "worries". As expected, Izuru found that thought to be useless. However, he still spends a WHILE conversing with Nagito, meaning that he actually found a conversation with Nagito to be more engaging than he expected. He basically said that he found Nagito more interesting than he anticipated.
More unofficial media analysis:
Tumblr media
Izuru Kamukura has been characterized as loyal and altruistic. We see him get out of his way to help someone in need for no huge reason. He literally shoots Nagito in canon because Junko Enoshima got to Izuru first, therefore his loyalty was to Junko.
Tumblr media
And if Junko Enoshima never got to him first, we could have seen this altruistic side of Izuru more. If Izuru can find Nagito worth his time, being loyal to him wouldn't be something he would find agonizing.
Tumblr media
TL;DR: Izuru Kamukura is loyal to anyone. If he finds Nagito Komaeda unpredictable (interesting), his loyalty to Nagito wouldn't feel too boring. Since Nagito actually has a crush on Izuru, Nagito wouldn't just "use him" like Junko Enoshima. Therefore, Izuru isn't likely to dislike Nagito in the future. Nagito feels attracted to Izuru + Izuru finds someone not boring = Mutual-pining slow-burn Kamukoma is real... as long as it's set in another 'happier' universe.

For the ask game: Miu Iruma. Naturally.
Hi, friend! Yes, naturally I have some thoughts on this character. Just a few, really.
I'm just gonnaaaaa put this readmore right here
Sexuality Headcanon: I actually like a lot of different reads for Miu's sexuality. She's yet another DR lesbian who needs to be freed from comphet. She's pansexual who'd go for anything that moves. She's asexual and all her sex talk is a clumsy effort at blending in with a society that expects girls to make babies. Take your pick!
Gender Headcanon: Miu is transhumanist and not that attached to her fleshy form. She loves her boobs, but she'd be down with exchanging them for spherical cannons. She brags about having a bombass vajayjay, but she'd totally install a robot dick that shoots lazers.
A ship I have with said character: You already know, I'm irumatsu all the way. Just at a glance, Kaede is a fun foil for Miu: a friendly yet stern prep who dresses conservatively for a rude and goofy punk who casually wears BDSM gear. But Kaede's no meek square for Miu to pick on. She's got dignity, and she'll fight back. Thing is, Miu crumbles easily under the slightest pushback. Kaede understands that, but she'd never use it to get a permanent edge over Miu. Instead, she makes sure to be the one person who actually tries to understand the human being beneath the gorgeous girl genius. And that, in turn, encourages Miu to drop her defensiveness and open up for once in her life. It's really healthy for Miu ... and it'd keep things interesting for Kaede. This dynamic spins in my head like a dynamo. It's dynamite!
A BROTP I have with said character: Maybe you don't always need to have heart-to-hearts with someone. Maybe a relationship can just be two people dissing each other every day forever, and that's enough. Maybe Miu enjoys verbally sparring with Kokichi because he's the one guy who can actually keep up with her (he'd say it's more like she tries to keep up with him). A friendship of dueling wits, two people who spend their free time coming up with clever insults, trading them with each other at school, then ending it by asking, "Same time tomorrow?" In a way, they might need each other ... so they don't terrorize the rest of the world.
A NOTP I have with said character: Eh, I don't really have one? None that I feel too strongly about, anyway.
A random headcanon: Miu has very strong opinions on cartoons intended for small children. The kind of person who vehemently tweets that animation is cinema but only watches franchise movies from big studios. The kind of person who would tell kids they deserve to die for not caring about the original Teen Titans series. The kind of person who's ranked every episode of a show they barely even like ... Dang, I'd watch Miu's YouTube channel.
General Opinion over said character: One of my top three Danganronpa characters. Hell, top two. I love the huge personalities in these games, and few are bigger than the self-proclaimed gorgeous girl genius. Bombastic yet secretly meek, generous yet condescending, socially clueless yet sharp-witted, beautiful yet devoid of rizz, the worst person you'd ever know yet a person I'd like to have a non-alcoholic beverage with. She's awful because she thinks she's the best, and the worst part is that she's right. Miu fuckin rulez.

As a fellow Nagito analyst, I just wanted to say that Nagito's sexuality isn't confirmed and it's best to not say he's gay since there isn't any proofs proving that statement. Sure he might like Hajime, but that's not much of a clue to come to that conclusion.
The definition of gay is being attracted to the same gender and not to the opposite gender. Which means unless he outrightly states that he doesn't like women like he does with men, or he *only* likes men, then he's not confirmed gay. Just because you see he doesn't interact with women much doesn't make him nonchalant about women.
Tumblr media
I get that's it's your personal blog and Nagito being gay may be one of your headcanonss about him but him being gay is an unsubstantiated claim. If you want people not to misunderstand Nagito on your blog, don't spread any false information about him. Thank you.
Oh of course! I never said he was canonically gay I said I believe he is gay and that it's my interpretation. I have reasons to believe this and I just skimmed over one of them just in case I sounded biased, that way if the person dislikes my statement they have context as to where it's coming from. I was saying that I don't really agree shipping wise because of my interpretation and that I personally think that interpretation makes his story more impactful. I appreciate your concern, and I apologize it wasn't clear enough despite my attempts to make it that way. I'm sorry you think I spread false information, I think anyone who glances at my accounts would know that's never my intention with him. If you have any advice on how I could have made it even clearer I would love to hear it!
I'll probably do a post eventually on the weird state of canon when it comes to relationships and sexualities with the Danganronpa games, as well as maybe some more posts on Nagito's weird state of sexuality. We've seen him be interested in Hajime and Izuru in ways that imply romantic feelings or straight up are that way, It is undeniable he has interest in men but there's no confirmation about what he feels about other genders or any other details. I certainly wouldn't go as far as to say it's an unsubstantiated claim though? He shows attraction to men, regardless of the intricacies he falls under the usage of gay can be an umbrella term. I'm bi and I can say I'm gay and it still is accurate. But again, it is my interpretation and I don't think I said it was anything beyond that.
Nagito avoids the question of sexuality altogether in Ultra Despair Girls and Q&as and I think it's sort of vague on purpose. Most of the mainline games are vague and, this may just be me, but I think Kodaka makes it vague on purpose so people can have their own interpretations. On his account he posts his own interpretations and they aren't really canon despite it coming from him, so I really think most of the vagueness is for the viewers to have fun with. Danganronpa 3 is an exception to many of the typical rules of the franchise. I'd say having vague relationship statuses and sexualities is a pattern with the series just like how they use pink blood. Once I'm able to I definitely want to dedicate posts to these topics!
Tumblr media
Thank you for your ask, I really would love it if you reread what I said and could tell me how I could make it more clear because I can't think of how I could change it to be not misinterpreted! Spreading false information about Nagito Komaeda is never my intention and I hope you know that <3

Hiii. First off, I'm so sorry if this is annoying, but I. Have a lot of Nanamiki thoughts and thought you might like them? I was talking with a friend about them (he hasn't played danganronpa so he doesn't really know them but he was still super nice and listened to me ramble) and I realized that you may be interested in what I had to say about them?
First off, I think nanamiki is a lot more complex than what a lot of people make it out to be, in my opinion. She ship was first popularized by the optional scene in SDR2 where Chiaki and Mikan play video games together. It's a very cute scene, and I urge anyone who hasn't seen it to look it up, because it makes it clear that Mikan and Chiaki are friends, or at least have the potential to be friends, and the relationship is very positive and sweet on Chiaki's side. Nanamiki as a pairing got very popular in the komahina fandom back before DR3 came out (I can only really attest for about a year before DR3 came out, but this was very much the vibe I got) as a pairing to get Chiaki out of the way of komahina. Back before DR3, I saw a lot of double date fics with the two couples, and a lot of Komahina fics where they were a side pairing. They were, for the most part, regulated to "lesbian best friends of komahina", which, nowadays, ever since DR3, has seemed to be replaced with Soniaki and sometimes Tsumioda instead. Now, I like Soniaki, and I don't have anything against people who ship Tsumioda (even if it's not personally my cup of tea), but as a Nanamiki lover, I have noticed a fandom shift to favoring these ships just from my own observations. Which, good for people who like those ships! I just can't help but look back longingly on the Era where nanamiki was the standard wlw ship - even if that Era was rife with issues.
Even back then, you would be hard pressed to find any work that explored Nanamiki in depth that wasn't a one shot - and most if those one shots were plotless or near plotless fluff. This, to some degree, makes sense. Nanamiki's origin *was* plotless fluff - it was Chiaki showing Mikan a fun game and teaching her how to play. That's what the whole scene was, and that scene is the ships origin point. On works that did focus on nanamiki in depth, there was an emphasis on Chiaki comforting Mikan, which also makes sense, as that scene was Chiaki reaching out and being nice to Mikan. When I was young/a teenager, I also wrote fics similar- with Chiaki reaching out to Mikan, and helping her overcome her trauma.
However, now that I'm older, I look back on what a lot of these fics were (including my own), and I find myself somewhat discontent with the state of them. I feel a lot of these works fall into woobifying Mikan, and having Chiaki putting all the work and effort into "fixing" Mikan and her life. Oftentimes, there's no discussion about Chiaki's wants or needs, and those go unaddressed. It doesn't feel balanced, like a give and take dynamic, but instead like Chiaki is putting so much into the relationship and getting none of her needs met. A lot of times, there's not even fleshed out reasons why Chiaki would be dating Mikan - what she gets out of it, not just what she provides. Now, arguably, this is because most stories involving them are one shots - there just isn't time to explore both of them in depth, and its only a snapshot of their relationship. But even with that, there is an overabundance of Chiaki taking care of Mikan with oftentimes little to no indication that she does the same. I think this is partially because a lot of people are primed to see relationships as "what can this person do for me?" and not "what can we do for each other?" A lot of times, the dynamics aren't mutual and balanced. To be fair, life is messy in real life - sometimes one person is going to be putting in more work than the other one at the moment, but usually that is a temporary situation—and when they can, they reciprocate later. Relationships have their ups and downs. But I can't help but wish that we saw a more balanced dynamic between the two in fics, at least the fluffy ones.
But while I do acknowledge that the ship has fluffy origins, I am desperate for non-fluffy content. I think only having fluffy stuff does a disservice to the relationship - especially for Mikan. Mikan, in my opinion, is a very messy, traumatized person, and I don't like how a lot of people candy coat this in an attempt to write really fluffy relationship stuff (not just aimed at nanamiki works). Her trauma wouldn't just go away after getting in a relationship, and a relationship wouldn't just fix all her problems, either. Reducing her down to "crybaby who just needs love" misses the point of her character - while it's true she needs support, she can't just survive on one person, one relationship alone. She needs a support system, not (just) a girlfriend. In my opinion, Mikan would be a disaster in a relationship - and not just in a cute, insecure, shy way. Mikan has a lot of feelings and she feels them very violently, including love - she gets obsessive, is a chronic people pleaser, and threatens to break Hajime's legs in her island mode. Her whole motive for being a nurse is because she likes the power it gives her over her patients. This characterization, that she's a poor little baby who did nothing wrong and just needs real love to heal her, is a disservice to her character.
I want to see Mikan being complicated. I want to see her having maladaptive and unhealthy coping mechanisms. I want her to be messy. That's what I love about her character- that she is a deeply, truly traumatized person who is sometimes awful and sometimes a wreck of a person, but despite that, she's a victim. Despite that, she deserve to heal - or maybe because of that. Mikan is very much informed by her trauma, in a very unhealthy way, but she is still, ultimately, a person who needed help and didn't get it. She is a person society failed.
She didn't just need a lover. She needed a support system, she needed people to constantly stand up for her, constantly love her, support her—she needed people to not hurt her in the first place.
Sorry, I got pretty passionate about that. My point is, I wish there was more complicated Nanamiki - Nanamiki that addresses Chiaki's needs, Nanamiki that addresses Mikan's dark sides, Nanamiki that is complicated and messy.
I think, too, that DR3 (while having a lot of things I didn't like) had a compelling idea for Nanamiki (if I'm remembering right). Before Mikan pushes Chiaki into the hallway Chisa finds her, if I'm remembering right, Mikan talks about how everyone loves and admires Chiaki... and to me, she sounds jealous. Now that. That is interesting to me. I find that SO compelling - the idea that Mikan sees herself in Chiaki, and it infuriates her, because everyone loves and adores Chiaki and she feels like no one feels the same for her. Now, I have extrapolated a lot of feelings on Mikan's side from that short interaction, and maybe that's not the intent of canon, but honestly? I really like what I've extrapolated. With that in mind, there's even more you could headcanon about Mikan and Chiaki and their state of their relationship during the despair arc: Chiaki acts like she loves Mikan, but Mikan can't believe that, how could someone so loved like Chiaki love her? Maybe she even wants to test that love, test the limits of it, behave badly or hurt her to prove to herself that Chiaki never *really* loved her in the first place, that her "forgiveness" was fragile. (Think similar to the dynamic of dogbird by maddy, I guess?) Maybe she's jealous, so bitterly jealous, that people love Chiaki and no one loves her. Maybe she's secretly angry that Chiaki can get along with Hiyoko so well when she bullies her, and she's angry at herself for being angry, because isn't what Hiyoko does to her what she deserves? And yet Chiaki says she doesn't deserve that, yet at the same time is friends with someone who treats her like that... she's confused and hurt and internalizing all of it. I could go on.
I think, in DR3, it was a real missed opportunity to have the remnants turn on Chiaki slowly instead of being brainwashed. In a hypothetical AU, instead of being brainwashed, Junko turns them against her, or calls to question her love, makes them doubt her - and maybe that's not enough to get them to turn on her fully, but when she proposes a "test" of her hope in the form of a murder maze, they agree (Nagito first because he's all about testing hope and has faith in Chiaki, Mikan second because of her devotion to Junko—or reverse order, I'm not picky—and then everyone else reluctantly following). That isn't canon by any means, but it's the AU I tend to go with when I keep human Chiaki in my fanfic.
In that situation, Mikan becomes like a Judas figure. Actually, lower one's eyes (specifically trickles cover) portrays what I imagine Mikan would feel perfectly. Another song that really fits Nanamiki (imo) is lacy by Olivia Rodrigo. It talks about jealousy over and attraction to a girl you think is so perfect, which I think fits Mikan's side of this perfectly.
Even without the AU I made up, I think DR3 adds a layer of tragicness to nanamiki I don't see explored a lot! Which is sad. I mean, getting brainwashed to send your girlfriend to her death is prime angst potential. I would love even that to be explored (despite how I'm usually not a big fan of the brainwashing video in general). I want more angsty, doomed nanamiki. Even now, most stories are one shots focusing fluff, or ones where they woobify Mikan, or ones where the dynamic is unbalanced between Mikan and Chiaki, and in those fanfics, they hardly ever explore Chiaki. Which is so sad to me. All the multichapter fics I've seen only have nanamiki as a side pairing, too. I love Nanamiki (it might be my favorite DR f/f pairing ever!) and I would love for people to explore more sides of it!
Sorry for the long ask. I just have So Many Nanamiki thoughts.
As someone who wasn't around the fandom in 2013-era, this is SUCH an interesting read. It aligns with a lot of what I've rediscovered searching through for old art, especially searching for Nanamiki works.
I don't really have anything to add, which I hope is okay - this is just really cool on its own, and I don't have anything to add to it other than "YEAH!! YEAH"

when it comes to your silly ships in either fandom which of the two have cold hands and which have warm hands 🤭🫶🏻
BASED QUESTION this just has me thinking of every ship i like regardless of fandom
alenoah… im a believer of alejandro having warm hands and noah having cold hands…. i think noah would be the cold hands one in any of his ships tbh that boy wears three layers
ransara my sillies i know they hold hands in canon and i cant remember if they say anything about the warmth of each other’s hands but i feel like ranmaru would be cold hands bc hes technically not human but . then again hes also not human so he could heat up his hands if he had that function so Who knows…. he radiates cold hand energy though especially in the route where he Gets Silly and sara radiates warm hand energy
saiouma my sillies i havent been into danganronpa in So long but dont think i forgot about “he can lie about a lot of things but he cant hide the warmth of his hand” or something like that….. kokichi warm hands, shuichi cold hands
brance i think vance would be cold hands and bruce would be warm hands but i could also argue for the other way around so i am not sure
asheiji ough this is tough i feel like ash cold hands and eiji warm hands but i would need to have a think about it

You are awesome, smart, and just the perfect person to be around, you’re aura smells pure awesomeness, no, NO i am not biased.at.all it’s not like  she’s my profile picture.
In all seriousness, you probably crave any green bling content and also loves shin too but kanna passion and pure kindness made you make the choice to kill shin. It seemed to difficult to vote for a kid so you voted shin. You relate to kanna struggles And ADORES her character development in 3b. Also you definitely need many therapy session (not projecting at all) .
NAO EGOKORO:
If being a joe fan is sadness, a greenbling fan depression, well being a nao fan is literal despair and anger with anguish. Bro what the fuck did she do to have such an horrible end like that, her entire experience in the death game was  a pure nightmare. Homegirl did nothing wrong, she shouldn’t literally even be here dude😭😭. You have only one consolation is that now she’s in heaven with her girlfriend, also obviously you ship naoreko
GIN IBUSHI:
You are right in fact you are 99.99 percent of the fandom. And i know that if one day you see anyone put gin below S tier or say anything relatively negative about him, you WILL find them, you WILL track them , and you’re gonna BOIL THEM ALIVE. And i will probably cheer you so go on, pop off, girlboss or mansplain bestie !
KAI SATOU:
You are mesmerized by his beautiful aura and luscious long mane. Every time the characters talk about him you feel so much happiness that his sacrifice was in the end really worth it, but still you cry that the cutest malewife had to go first.
ALICE YABUSAME:
His atrocious hair made you burn your eyes, his cringe fail personality made you laugh but his death destroyed you entirely. In the end you fell for this transmasc king. If you played logic rote you probably died a second time lol.
S H I N  T S U K I M I:
Shin tsukimi, oh, Shin Tsukimi the character of all time. So from what i understand he’s your favorite character. Were you the weird kid in your class when you were in high school or that one queer kid that tried to hide your identity but everyone knew just by a single look? Just by looking at you i can see a lot of self loathing and unaddressed personal issues that you try hiding under a rug instead of actually addressing them. Do you take time to eat, to drink, don’t forget to take a break from negativity when you are at your lowest, okay ? Diagnosing you is pretty hard you probably have a thousand problems but at least, i hope, not as much as this little dumbass.                                           There is two type of shin fans:
-the one who want to punch him, shove him into a locker and bully him
-the one who want to give him a warm hug, a nice soup and a good night of sleep.                                                                                                                    In both cases, you are exactly like him and projecting so hard onto him. Also you are supeeeeeer gay like extra gay. Like your aura smells GAY you know. No cis het allo kinnie of shins exist actually, it’s as possible as dividing 0 by 0.
So conclusion go to therapy
KUGIE KIZUCHI:
Ao3 is your god, your lord and everything that you need to live. Every time ao3 get down you die inside. You crave any content of her and wish that we can know more in the future about her (i do too) and you probably feel in love with her trough fanfic.
MEGUMI SASAHARA:
You guys exists? Well you like evil boss woman, i guess.
This shit full of errors and mistakes also this is a joke don’t get offended, remember as a greenbling fan i am probably the least respected type of yttd fan, well above the keiji simps you guys are wild.

“Can you even see the fifth tower anymore?”
“No. But we know where it is, yeah?”
“Yeah, I guess so.”
Hajime’s eyesight was better than Shuichi’s. Not by a landslide, but enough that sometimes Shuichi would ask him, “Am I seeing this right?” and trust his answer. Shuichi was weaker in some sense, too. He could hold real steady, which was valuable when it came to holding boards and nails in place, but he had never really built any structure in his life before the drought started.
Not that Hajime had built a whole tower before either, but he had done handiwork with his parents before. Shuichi hadn’t done anything like this. He said he felt the same way now that he felt growing up, now that everyone was gone. Not exactly the same, of course, since Hajime was here.
Now that they were truly alone, they’d often forget what they had even been doing up here.
“What are we going to do when we get to the fifth tower again?”
“Build to the seventh tower.”
“Because the sixth tower fell.”
“Oh. Yeah.”
They relax and look out at the view multiple times a day. Because they have all day. No one’s waiting for them.
“Byakuya Togami,” Shuichi blurts out as they sit in the middle of the bridge between towers Two and Three. He was extremely anxious about stilling on the bridges and staircases at one point, but he’s used to it now.
“What?”
“He was in the sixth tower.”
“When it fell?”
“Yeah. I remember because… because I spoke to him once. When he was further this way.”
“I heard he was an asshole.”
“He is. Your brother said he’s a bit worse for wear now, though. Apparently he used to be ruder.”
“Makoto?”
“Yeah, your brother.” Shuichi turned to look at Hajime, perhaps searching for some semblance of disbelief that wasn’t there.
“Oh.
“Come on, let’s go.”
The sixth tower incident was the most widely remarked and remembered, for obvious reasons. Byakuya fell along with Celestia Ludenburg, Takemichi Yukimaru, Hiyoko Saionji, Tsumugi Shirogane, and some others they couldn’t remember. There was a larger number of people in the tower, and the only reason they remembered Takemichi is because he likes to yell across the towers and so everyone knew him, if not by his name then as “the guy who screams occasionally”.
“I knew Hiyoko,” Hajime remarked, lugging his bag to the end of the bridge. The stairs that went upward from the bridge were broken so Hajime immediately walked around the walkway balcony  attached to the actual tower structure to where he knew wood would be. Shuichi went into the inside of the tower, looking through all the chests and shelves and looking across the table. He found clothes, and left them. He found papers, and took them. “What was she like?” he exclaimed through the door.
“Irritating…
“She wasn’t bad, though. I guess. Just liked to mess with people.”
Shuichi stuffed the pieces of paper into his bag and pulled out nails as he rushed out to the broken staircase. “Do you know anything about her?”
Hajime shrugged, laying a piece of wood in place for Shuichi to hold nails to.
“She was a dancer. Real small traditional dancer. ‘S why she didn’t build anything. Just distributed food and water. Sometimes people asked her to dance for them. She didn’t really like when people asked, though.”
“Oh. She sounds interesting.” Shuichi doesn’t know what to say.
“Mhm. This should be good enough.”
“Okay. Maybe I have something of hers. Are there more nails over there before we get too high?—I don’t think I’ll have enough. I can carry a whole bag if there’s a whole bag.”
“There is some—here. You might have some official stuff; I don’t know if she’s the journal type.”
“Thank you. I don’t really like to read people’s diaries anyway.”
They built all the way to the next floor of the tower, carrying more wood and nails and materials than before. Hajime hauled most of the weight.
Shuichi rejoined Hajime at the bottom of the next staircase, paper crinkling in his personal bag. “Can we stop at the top?”
“We’re not going to the top.”
“Ah—I meant when we get to the bridge.”
“Yeah.”
“Yeah, thanks. Sorry—I just get kind of tired.”
“I know. It’s okay. I get tired, too. Gotta carry everything.”
Shuichi huffs in place of another apology, fundamentally understanding the lack of complaint in his partner’s light-hearted tone.
They sat down before the threshold of the bridge going from Tower Three to Four. They ate some of what food they had and Shuichi pulled out a paper randomly from his bag, then opened the bag up to Hajime for him to do the same. So they each opened their little piece of paper and began reading through the things their compatriots left behind.

In your opinion, who in your favorite ships from each of your fandoms would be the "we are no longer friends!" and who would be the "that's a horrible way of telling them we started dating"
I'm just gonna do a couple of them :)
Danganronpa - Tokomaru - Komaru absolutely would say something like that, and Toko would immediately correct her like "I thought we talked about this" lol
PJO - Percabeth - idk how you can think anything other than Percy joking about that and Annabeth either a) joking along or b) just smiling and rolling her eyes before correcting him
PJSK - Ichisaki - I actually don't think either of them would just because of like. middle school. but if they did Saki would absolutely be the first to joke about it

for the ask game (with either raincode or danganronpa) :
👛 your favorite rare pair?
💕a ship you’d defend with your life?
♠️ favorite protagonist?
(from this ask game)
👛 your favorite rare pair?
I don't think much about danganronpa shipping anymore (my brain is now just permanently rotating enoshima, kamukura, komaeda, ouma and kiibo there like rotisserie chickens instead, i am TOO BUSY!!!), so rain code it is: yumayomi/kokohell/the japanese side calls it yumayomi ig and the english side does not call it anything because no one except me and like 2 other people care. yuma & yomi are just so objectively hilarious as a duo and the possibilities of putting them in Situations are fucking endless nobody does it like they do it. every day another yuma and yomi au idea establishes itself in my mind i am running out of storage room i have so many other things i should care about that aren't wacky rain code yaois but guess what i cannot they won't let me
(also fubuyomi honorable mention. I have to mention fubuyomi they also drive me but I have zero words to describe it. oh and worshipper x priest despite me keeping silent about it for a solid few months i did not forget religious serial killer toxic sludge yaoi anyway have you listened to we will commit wolf murder by of montreal for no reason in particular)
💕a ship you’d defend with your life?
zero hesistation ougoku danganronpa like what is you people's PROBLEM??? "it's abusive" jesse what the fuck are you talking about. Ouma did not "manipulate" him Gokuhara knew exactly what he was doing. Ouma explicitly told him his plans for the Insect Meet and Greet in the FTE's right before the event, and Gokuhara got mad at him because he lied about liking bugs, (which Ouma had to do because you've all seen how Gokuhara reacts to people that don't. you've seen it) NOT because he suddenly realized he was being manipulated or something. So many people dismiss the sheer amount of agency Gokuhara actually had in chapter 4, in favour of painting the situation as just "poor stupid baby gonta got tricked into murder by the big bad ouma :((((" while. he is not STUPID (HE IS LITERALLY A SCIENTIST??) he was not COERCED into his crimes, he was a WILLING ACCOMPLICE!!!!!! I FEEL LIKE I'M LOSING MY GODDAMN MIND!!!!! He did it in a misguided attempt at mercy killing his classmates after finding out the world got fucked and everything sucks now. There are multiple pieces of dialogue that highly imply Ouma did in fact also want to mercy kill the class - which also makes sense as it would end the killing game (you know his. main. true. goal.) This would mean that he only started his plan to become the “mastermind” after Gonta told him to not die with him <- this one's quoted from my favourite dr theory blog jacksmusesdrv3 hello hava good day I couldn't find another way to word this myself. "Ouma faked being sad Gokuhara's about to be/got executed in front of him" his reaction literally parallels Kuzuryuu's to Pekoyama's death buddy. buddy. Ouma's entire thing is that he lies about lying about lying about lying WHY are you taking his word at face value why are you believing whAT THE LIAR IS TELLING YOU?????? WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING. PUT ME OUT OF MY FUCKING MISERY I CANNOT TAKE THIS. People treat Gokuhara like he's stupid (which is "funny" (he said through clenched teeth) since isn't that the entire thing everybody ingame severely underestimates him and then. i can't) while he and Ouma are two of some of the smartest people in the game. And! Gokuhara is perfectly capable of lying and having ulterior motives we've all saw him do that right :)))) multiple times right :)))))) Gokuhara even SAYS Ouma didn't trick him BECAUSE HE DIDN'T. HE DID NOT. These two have the some of the most genuine dynamics in dr, and the best in ndrv3, and you dare disrespect them like this. shame on you. SHAME. People always assume the worst in Ouma, and the best in Gokuhara. This is my personal hell. I am not okay.
♠️ favorite protagonist?
Easily Yuma, beating literally all of dr's protags (though dr1 Naegi has second place. I love you Naegi Makoto). Where do I even start? I think I'm too tired after the above rant to articulate myself anymore and I think if I wasn't that essay would take an entire week to finish lmao.
Thanks for the ask anon :3 !!!

Korekiyo for the ask game!
favorite thing about them: Definitely his appearance and talent, I was IMMEDIATELY drawn to him as my out of the gate favorite character I'm a SUCKER for androgynous morally dubious vaguely horror themed nerd. I could listen to him talk about ancient murder rituals for HOURS
least favorite thing about them: Honestly I wish he got to do his own creepy rituals a lot more. Like the seance was super cool but I feel like with so many rituals at his disposal they could have pushed the horror magic angle more with him. Make a good dichotomy with Himiko now that I'm thinking about it, the red mage vs the necromancer. Especially since ghosts are in fact canon to Danganronpa role because UDG was a weird game. Also the fact he was the reason they introduced "if two people die only the first blackened counts" rule and they NEVER did anything with it was SUCH A WASTE.
favorite line: "Kehehe...what wonderful strength. You could likely crush a child's skull with ease." (Why the fuck did he say this what is wrong with him but also it's such a funny line Kork no)
brOTP: I like him and Gonta as friends, you cannot tell me an anthropologist would NOT be fascinated by a wild child like Gonta.
OTP: Shinnaga, Angie and Korekiyo were SUCH a fun pair!
nOTP: Him and Himiko I guess? I can't think of any popular ship he's in that I don't like.
random headcanon: THIS MAN HAS A FURSONA YOU C A N N O T TELL ME OTHERWISE AND IT'S A NEKOMATA
unpopular opinion: He's a super interesting character, and a part of that is his unfortunate plot-line, while canon handled it kinda poorly, i think it makes him even more interesting and makes me want to explore him deeper. I do not remove this plot-line when I write him unless it would completely get in the way of the story.
song i associate with them: The Hunting Song by Tom Lehrer
favorite picture of them:

Tell me more about Amaya and Nakano relationship plz 🥺
OMG MY FIRST REAL ASK!!! AND ABOUT MY SPECIAL GUYS AS WELL!!!! Feel free to get context for them in the pinned fic on my page (They're Danganronpa ocs)! SO BASICALLY!! From the start Nakano is just this grounding point for Amaya as she has to navigate the first probably 2 trials. He encourages her to do her best and backs her up no matter what. She on the other hand, usually has to reel him in bc he's super optimistic and also a *little* stupid. So they balance each other out Really Well! I feel like Amaya caught feelings for him first (this is my die on this hill canon ship) but was SO SCARED of loosing him after watching 2-4 of her classmates die in front of her. Especially for the people who end up being executed she blames herself for their deaths, and she can't fathom someone as sweet and kind as Nakano would ever be able to love someone who leads people to their deaths. So she pushes the feelings away, says that he's too good for her and she'll break his heart if she gets closer. The thing is though is that Nakano doesn't see it that way AT ALL. While Amaya has kind of a 'low and slow' build up to her feelings, Nakano's kind of hit him all at once like a semi and he tries so hard to be cool about it but it doesn't last long before he's confessing his feelings to her over a cup of coffee he'd long since memorized how she likes. She tries to tell him that she'll only end up hurting him, that all she does is hurt people but he doesn't care. The way he sees it there's a good chance he's gonna get hurt one way or another trapped in the killing game, he's no stranger to getting hurt, and being able to have even a moment of her love would be worth eons of pain. THEY JUST. AUUGH. I can't say anything else to avoid spoilers for the rest of the series but they do get together and fall in love <3 I also call them straight passing also bc although I do hc Amaya as cishet, I think Nakano is bi and definitely NOT cis but doesn't care that much about labels <3 Im sorry this got so long I'm just!! So happy somebody asked THANK YOU SO MUCH

I know this is unrelated to Danganronpa, I apologize in advance. I only ask this with respect and hopes to understand. As an aroace person such as yourself, do you find romance (particularly with shipping) to be appealing as long as it isn't in your own personal life? I'm sorry my hetero ass is struggling to understand, I just want to be a better ally.
Hi, anon! You don't have to apologize, I don't mind talking about something other than Danganronpa X)
I'm rambling here for quite a while, maybe a got a little carried away, because the subject of ramance is quite complex
Every aromantic and/or asexual person is different. Everyone has different experiences so there's no universal rule. I'd suggest, if you want to be supportive to your aromantic friends, you should ask them how do they personaly feel about romance and shipping. Are they comfortable with this topic in general? Are they fine with it as long as it doesn't involve them, or would they rather avoid romace completety whenever they can? Everyone feels differently about that, so it's better to ask people's opinion on that topic rather than trying to find one universal rule.
If you're not asking that because of some specific people that you know, but because you want to support aro people in general, I think a good idea might be to look at some aromantic themed blogs, or read some of people's personal experiences for a better understanding of the topic.
I think it's posible explain aromaticism with an analogy. Let's say, romance is some kind of food, like an apple for example. A lot of people like apples and eat them often. However, there are people who dont. Some people can't stand the sight of apples. Some people can eat apples sometimes even though they don't like them very much. Some people don't want to eat apples themselves, but are completely fine with other people eating them. And so on, and so on.
Romantic attraction (and romance as a concept) is as different for everyone as food preferences. Some people just don't like some things. Everyone is different.
As for my personal experiences... I don't necessary hate the idea of a partner, but I think I'm very picky so I would be hard for me to find ideal option. I'm not opposed to the idea of having a partner, but I don't feel the need to have one. The moment when I realised that I'm actually aromantic was when I realised that people are not just being overdramatic when they complain about not wanting to be single. A lot of people genuinely feel upset when they don't have a partner/partners. It's not just a joke that people make. For a lot of people romantic relationships are very important. Never in my life I felt like I need to be in a romantic relationship and I never really questioned this. It took some time for realisation that not everyone feels like that to actually sink in.
When it comes to shipping, well. I like romance, but I don't really like plain romance. I like when characters have something else in their relationship aside from romance. They could be friends, enemies, rivals, collegues, allies, etc. Anything really. I just want something else going on with them aside from being romantic partners. I think it might even be better to put it this way. I like when romace is secondary to the primary character dynamic. Like, they're best friends first or they're rivals first, before they're romantic partners. It's some primary dynamic to which romance is added, instead of it being the other way around and this dynamic being just the flavor to romance. When the relationship borders between platonic and romantic, but perhaps gravitates more toward the romantic. I hope this makes sense.
I am not saying this is the only right way for interesting relationships, but it's just the way I prefer it.
So, in short, I do find romance appealing, but with some requirements.
Thank you for your question! You were very respectful an polite. Hope I explainded it alright. If you have more questions or don't exactly understand something here feel free to ask. Have a great day!💜💫

what is up with fandoms that aren’t for kids (hazbin hotel, homestuck, danganronpa etc.) telling people to off themselves over shipping? like fandoms like that are for teens and adults, i honestly wanna hope it’s not the adults in the fandom telling people to off themselves because you think an adult would know better right? i mean a teen does too but i think it depends on how old the teen is and how develop your brain is
like those fandoms aren’t for kids, they’re for teens and adults so i don’t know why you want to protect children from fandoms that are for 13-18+, if a child does interact with that kinda fandom tell them to get out of it and that they aren’t allowed in that said fandom into they are at the age range
like i do agree that kids should be protected but it is not the creator’s fault if a child interacts with their fandom, it’s the parents fault for not watching over their kid, like if you’re gonna give a kid as young as 10 a phone you need to moderato everything they are doing if they are that young jnto you can trust they aren't gonna do amything bad ot illegal
Sadly, we live in a generation where babies got iPads so the parents don't have to give too much attention to them. That's why shit like Elsagate and weird YouTube Kids videos continue to pump out to this day. I also say that when kids start growing older, we all had been through the phase of thinking we hot shit and can handle anything mature that we would do anything to prove ourselves. Including lying about our age. Yes, it's not uncommon to lie online. Anonymity and all that. But most teens lie to try and access certain content that's locked behind for 16-18+ users. Maybe some of us are curious what the medium is like. Others who are aware of it, just want to see it cause they like it. Whatever the reason, kids will find a way to check it out, even if they know they are not old enough to view it. We all had done this. I even admit I was young to watch shit like Elfen Lied. But I think the difference is back then, at least said kids and teens tried their best to HIDE the fact they were minors. But now, they don't even try to hide it. The kids demand they be let in and everyone else must accommodate for them if they start to feel uncomfortable. It's like person bitching at God for making it rain so hard even when someone offered them an umbrella to help cover themselves. Doesn't help said parents barely get the blame for neglecting their child in this day of age. We used to say it's up to the parents to make sure the kids don't go on sketchy websites or leak personal information. But now, it's the creator's fault for posting it, not knowing that out of a million people in the world. one kid took it too far. The same shit happened when it came to kids buying and playing violent video games and they blame said video game company for it. Never the adult themselves for not keeping an eye on their child.
