Sorry, being called by someone else is EVEN WORSE than calling someone.

It is always at an inconvenient time! (Because I have a kid and audio processing issues, all times are inconvenient for me to take a call.) I can't tell in advance if it's someone soliciting me for donations! Or trying to scam me! Or a bill collector! Or any other kind of call I do not want to deal with!

The distinguishing feature of the very few people who I want to talk to is that I have their number in my contacts so their name shows up when they call. I don't get that if someone is calling me back from a business call I made! Even if I have the main number in my contacts, that person's outgoing number might be something else!

And this is why the greeting on my voicemail literally says, "please hang up and send me a text".

Almost nobody fucking does, of course.

Guy did you know that if you make the phone call then the phone call is made and it's actually quite fast and easy to do and will stop haunting your to-do list for months?

I want. Four to get appreciation. Because

Four gave a ton of unnoticed help when Twilight was injured

The fight with Wild was difficult, and I know we're all concerned about his negative view of the shadow crystal

But Four did something that no one else really thought of to help- He took care of Twi's stuff

From the beginning he told Twilight to not worry about them

So Four took care of pretty much everything but the others (that Sky and Wars handled)

He took care of Epona

Which is so very important- he took care of Twilight's horse. After her arrival at the stable Four followed up on her

And for Epona, a horse so attached to her human, having some company can help so much for reassurance

He took care of Twilight's stuff

He got Twi's shield- his bags and equipment, and organized it into one place

And he was worried. He obviously found the shadow crystal while handling Twi's stuff, but his negative reactions to it were out of concern.

Also- because of his placement in this scene

I'm fairly convinced Four was ready to start cooking before Wild showed up (since he's beside the counter with food supplies). At the very least he had the basket of fruit out for everyone -but he was literally standing with food behind him- he thought of everything

And he did housekeeping!

Wars payed for the inn, so Four took care of the inn

Realistically these boys were probably not too concerned with tidyness. Four got all of Twi's things on one table, and took care of the room they stayed in

Organizing tables and Twi's things, having food supplies ready, and opening the curtains- overall he was the one tidying up the inn

Four helped in a huge way! He took care of Twi's horse (Epona is so important), his equipment and shield and bag, as well as the other rooms in the inn

Four filled in all the little tasks that others didn't think of. He helped in ways that were needed, but not obvious

There's a lot of problems with the shadow crystal and with Wild, and I don't know what's gonna happen in the future

But don't forget this- don't forget that Four was one who stepped up in an almost unnoticeable way

Don't forget that when everyone was barely holding it together, Four visited Twilight's horse and took care of his things

No matter what develops in the future- this amount of care shown is important ya know?

vlad: well he's psychic he could figure out the truth if he actually cared. and he has!

olive: obviously respects it. except for the getting investigated part, would never happen to her.

diego: does not think jacques did it but enjoys the tabloids. knows other rich people personally who he thinks have killed their spouses

morgyn: will post things like "friendly reminder that j*cques v*llareal literally killed his wife and is a billionaire so maybe don't go to one of their hotels" on tumblr and will then do a call out post about like a fanfic writer who wrote an unhealthy relationship with more severity

pascal: knows conspiracy theories and this one is bullshit. or maybe it just doesn't interest him as much as aliens and that's why he thinks that

jeb: has a very "well of course he did. them rich folk can do whatever they want. there ain't no hope for the rest of us" while kicking a can down the road approach

bob: thinks he did it. is very alarmed that it was brushed off. eliza's like bob book the hotel and he's like am i going crazy. does anyone hear me.

I literally texted my beloved and posted on tumblr that my interview went well.

Within half an hour I was convinced it has actually gone terribly and also panicking about picking one mattress place over the one I know better and being scared about trying to learn a new system while simultaneously being excited by the idea of having money again and also scared I won’t keep applying for rigging jobs when the industry picks up.

I’m just a meme of a guy slapping my roof and saying “this lil guy can fit so many anxieties!”

And that’s a wrap for Comic Con 2024! Ha, it was a lot of fun, but I really enjoyed dressing up as Mondo today! I even had a couple people recognize him! And a few others just liked the hair, one of whom asked how long it took me to get my hair like that, which tells me that at least it looks natural enough for people to mistake it as my actual hair, ha.

Overall, Comic Con was cool! On Thursday, I attended a live podcast recording for Braving the Elements, which is an Avatar the Last Airbender podcast hosted by Janet Varney and Dante Bosco (the voices of Korra and Zuko, respectively), and I actually got a trivia question right and I should (hopefully…) get an email from them soon to get a prize for answering the question right. If not… oh well. At least I’ll be featured briefly on the podcast answering trivia correctly, even though I usually suck at trivia, ha.

The rest of the days were a bit more meh, but I still had fun. I won a Pokeball ornament from a Hallmark panel, since I knew how many Squirtles were in the Squirtle Squad, aha. Which leaves my trivia score 2 for 2 at the moment.😅 I also got a free shirt and scarf for the upcoming Yakuza live action show, which was neat. I’ve never played Yakuza, but my brother has, so I was able to give him the shirt at least.

Still, while Comic Con was fun, I’m definitely glad it’s over so I can go home and clean up from my frantic cosplay creating the last several weeks, oof.

Also! On the first day I dressed at Taka, but since I was by myself I only have the one photo my dad was able to quickly take of me before he had to drive off and a quick selfie I took in the car.

some meurcliff au ramblings abt their friendship and how it came to be more than that :)

second pic doesnt tell details but - meursault was the one helping heath out with a job by telling his old acquaintance with a restaurant business abt him, so he wasn't spending that much time in the bar afterwards and meursault missed his presence even though the guy kept distracting him from work and all that. still he felt like a nice man to have around. i felt a need to write that cuz it looks like heathcliff straight up vanished or smth at that situation - no he actually kept coming he just became a busy man

oh and also i have some thoughts abt greg living close to meursault and also visiting the bar he works at from time to time, so they're in each other's background basically. and heath was a constant visitor for a while so greg did in fact see him practically every time he came over, so that's how they met
