I miss the glamor

I am not an ex-Christian

Picking out the perfect dress for your first communion, for the other ceremonies I no longer remember

The prayers and the cold air of the church,

The many other kids at the school.

The kneeling and music that struck you.

I don't pray like I used to. Which might be a good thing, since you pray when you're desperate. But I miss kneeling at the altar.

Here’s my take on the whole audio books vs. reading:

Oral tradition of storytelling predates written ones by millennias, and honestly, which one you like is just a personal preference.

The actual difference is

when listening, you have no idea how to write characters’ names

when reading, you have no idea how to pronounce characters’ names

i love it when characters are codependent. i love it when losing someone feels like losing a limb. i love it when two people "complete" each other so wholly and terribly that one can barely function without the other. i love it when the fear of losing the only person who understands them is so all-consuming they'll destroy anything to stay together, including themselves.
