Both of them look at it with abject horror. Like, absolutly not. I personally don’t really like the idea either.

Also, i think it’s important for thranduil’s character that he doesn’t want to unite the bloodlines. He’s happy not having anything to do with the noldo, and only somewhat to do with the sinda via his father.

I personally don’t really enjoy the concept of uniting bloodlines for a single rulership bc it’s one to many steps in the wrong direction imo.

I actually gen cannot express the revulsion i felt when i read that (no hate to anyone that does find the concept fun) but for me it just destroys so many characteristics of both thranduil and elrond individually and just the elven rulers as a whole that i can’t stand it.

Honestly, i can imagine 1 dumbass elf bringing it up to thranduil and thranduil immediately wanting to banish them bc absolutely not.

Elrond would just walk out of the room.

For me there’s just no romantic feelings or attraction between them whatsoever.
