if you're interested in using me for my body, I can get you an application
reminder that, having found where I left the key to the PO Box, copies of my psy-op pamphlet “DRUG CHURCH IS REAL” are available to the inquiring public at the rate of 1$ and a self-addressed stamped envelope sent to: PO Box 85 Ames IA 50010. “But wait!” I hear you cry, “Does it have to be self-addressed? Would not ‘DRUG CHURCH IS REAL’ make the ideal guerilla winter gift to the unsuspecting?…

I own a decent amount of vinyl. I buy a lot of vinyl based on how the cover it looks and if it’s cheap. Frequently, I will put on a 12″ and go ‘is this supposed to be 33 or 45″. Then I’ll listen in mild bewilderment for about a minute and go “I don’t know, I’ll just listed to it at 45.”

👀 is there a song out there (whether by you or someone else) that makes you wonder how it came into being?
"Woolworm by Indian Summer. That song changed my fucking life the first time I heard it. I've always loved music, it was always a place I could go to get away from something. Myself, my mom and dad's ups and downs, escapism. But the first time I heard that song I realised that music could lead you somewhere. It can make you understand yourself in a way you might never have if you hadn't heard that exact song at that exact time when you needed to hear it."
'All wounds effortlessly as the burden of his sunken child is lifted but effortlessly again carried faintly to the stone heart of an angry son. An angry son who has done his swallowing, his memories are bitten pills, so many bitten pills that he has collected.'
"There's so many meanings to that, what it means to you might not be what it means to me and that's why it's so good. It's not any one thing and it's not the same to every person. And I've wanted that ever since. That thing I experienced. Where a song I listened to as a teenager in my cousin's garage became something that I carried with me through the rest of my life. 'I am the angry son, I am the angry son, this is the moment, I am the angry son.' Felt that at fifteen. Still feel that thirty-three. Hope I won't still feel it forty, but who knows."
"I don't want to be a moment to the fans of my band, I don't want to be a clipped TikTok audio that goes viral for six days until the next one comes along. I want to earn a spot on the soundtrack to their lives."
Send my muse “👀 + a question” and they’ll have to answer with 100% honesty.
