The cafe bell chimed a familiar melody as the door swung open, announcing the arrival of a new customer. Busy with wiping down a table, I momentarily glanced up, my breath catching in my throat. A girl, shrouded in a white bucket hat and a mask, stood awkwardly by the entrance.
"Hi there! Welcome to Sunray Cafe," I greeted warmly, my usual chipper self shining through. "What can I get you today?"
The girl, her eyes sparkling even beneath the mask, approached the counter. "Can I get a large Americano, please? With no sugar, and maybe less ice?" Her voice was soft, melodic, like a gentle stream tinkling over smooth pebbles.
"Absolutely! Coming right up!" I punched in her order on the register, a thrill shooting through me. Today was definitely turning out interesting. As I busied myself brewing her coffee, I stole another glance at her. There was a certain aura about her, an ethereal quality that made her stand out even amongst the usual cafe crowd.
"Here you go," I announced, placing the steaming cup on the counter. "One large Americano, no sugar, less ice. Just the way you like it, I presume?"
A hint of a smile played on her lips, barely visible beneath the mask. "Thank you," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper.
The silence stretched for a moment, filled with an unspoken awkwardness. I yearned to strike up a conversation, to get to know the girl behind the mask, but something held me back. Perhaps it was the air of mystery surrounding her, or maybe just a touch of shyness on my part.
She settled down at a corner table, the clinking of her spoon against the ceramic mug the only sound for a while. I watched her from afar, mesmerized by the way her gloved fingers cradled the cup, how her eyes sparkled with an unseen emotion as she sipped her coffee.
As the cafe slowly filled with the afternoon crowd, I found myself drawn to her table again and again. Each time, our eyes would meet for a brief moment, a silent exchange that sent a flutter to my heart. Who was this girl? What was her story? I couldn't help but wonder.
Days turned into weeks, and the cafe slowly became synonymous with Wonyoung's presence. Every afternoon, like clockwork, she'd walk in, a vision in white with her signature Americano order. Each time, a wave of exhilaration would wash over me. We'd fallen into a comfortable routine – our exchanges started with greetings, then brief conversations about the weather or the latest K-Pop releases.
One sunny afternoon, as I placed her usual cup on the counter, I mustered up the courage to ask, "The Americano with no sugar, less ice – is that your favorite, or just a habit?"
A soft laugh, like wind chimes on a summer breeze, escaped her lips. "A bit of both, I guess. But honestly, it's more about the company now." Her words sent a jolt of joy through me. Was she implying...?
"Really? You like coming here just for the company?" I couldn't help the hopeful lilt in my voice.
She met my gaze, her eyes sparkling with an emotion I couldn't decipher. "The coffee's not bad either," she admitted with a playful smile. "But yes, the company is definitely a perk."
Emboldened by her words, I took a chance. "Actually, my name is Y/n," I blurted out, feeling a bit flustered. "W-what about you? I keep seeing the name 'Won' written on your cup."
A hint of surprise flickered in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by a soft smile. "Won is fine," she replied, her voice barely a whisper.
As she turned to leave, I blurted out, "Wait!" She paused, her back to me. "Can I, uh... walk you home?" My cheeks burned with a blush, but I held her gaze.
To my surprise, she didn't refuse. Instead, she turned around, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. "Sure," she said simply. "That sounds nice."
As we walked side by side, the setting sun casting an orange glow on our path, I felt a lightness in my step, a joy that resonated deep within me. We talked about everything and nothing – our dreams, our favorite foods, the stray cat that frequented the back alley of the cafe. It felt effortless, comfortable, like we'd known each other for years.
When we reached her doorstep, the air crackled with a nervous energy. "Today was nice, Y/n," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Would you like to do it again sometime?" I asked, hope flickering in my chest.
A genuine smile bloomed on her face, as radiant as the sun that had just dipped below the horizon. "I'd like that," she replied, taking out her phone. "Here, put your number in."
As I entered my contact information, her phone vibrated. Glancing at the screen, I noticed she saved my number under the name "Sunray Cafe." A pang of disappointment shot through me, a silent acknowledgement of the distance between our worlds.
But then, she added a single emoji – a bright yellow sun – beside my name. The small gesture sent a warmth blooming in my chest, a promise of sunshine and happiness to come. "I'll call you, Won," I said, my voice filled with newfound determination. "And I'll make you happy, I promise."
She tilted her head, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "We'll see about that, Sunray Cafe." With a final wave, she disappeared into her apartment building, leaving me with a heart full of hope and the promise of a future filled with sunshine, coffee, and maybe, just maybe, a love story blooming amidst the aromatic warmth of the cafe.
The following afternoon, butterflies danced a frenetic jig in my stomach as Won walked into the cafe. Today, I had a surprise planned. Mustering up all my courage, I approached her as she placed her usual order.
"Hey, Won," I greeted, my voice a touch shaky. "So, I was wondering..." I hesitated, searching for the right words. "Would you like to go out on a date with me sometime?"
Her eyes widened beneath the mask, a flicker of surprise giving way to a hesitant smile. "A date?" she echoed, her voice barely a whisper.
"Yeah," I blurted out, my cheeks burning. "Just to, you know, hang out outside of the cafe."
To my utter delight, she didn't say no. In fact, a hint of a blush seemed to color her cheeks, hidden beneath the white mask. "I'd... I'd like that," she replied softly.
We set a date for the weekend, and the anticipation gnawed at me for days. Finally, the day arrived, and I found myself waiting for her at a park, a bouquet of sunflowers – her favorite – clutched nervously in my hand.
When she arrived, my breath hitched. Even in casual clothes and the ever-present mask, she looked radiant. Today, however, there was a certain spring in her step, a shy smile playing on her lips.
"Hey," I said, extending the flowers towards her.
Her smile widened as she accepted the bouquet. "Thank you, Y/n. These are beautiful."
The afternoon unfolded like a dream. We strolled through the park, the scent of summer flowers filling the air. We talked about everything and nothing – our dreams, our favorite movies, the stray cat that frequented the back alley of the cafe. Her laughter, a melody tinkling in the summer breeze, sent shivers down my spine. There was a comfortable ease about our conversation, a sense of connection that transcended the barrier of the mask.
Later, we decided to catch a movie. As we sat shoulder-to-shoulder in the dimly lit cinema, a thrill coursed through me. Stealing a glance at her, I noticed her eyes glued to the screen, tears glistening in them during a particularly emotional scene. In that moment, I felt a surge of protectiveness towards her, a desire to shield her from any harm.
As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the city, I suggested a final stop – Sunray Cafe. The familiarity of the place brought a smile to both our faces.
"Welcome back," I said, ushering her in.
The cafe was bustling with customers, but a corner table by the window was miraculously free. I settled Won into the seat, her eyes sparkling as she took in the familiar surroundings.
"This place feels different somehow," she remarked, tilting her head.
"Because you're here with me," I replied impulsively, my cheeks burning with a blush.
She met my gaze for a long moment, a blush creeping up her neck despite the mask. Then, she smiled, a shy, sweet smile that sent my heart into overdrive.
"I'm glad I am," she whispered.
I ordered her usual Americano, this time with a hint of caramel syrup, hoping to surprise her. As I placed the cup on the table, I blurted out, "There's something I've been wanting to ask you."
She looked up, her eyes curious. "What is it?"
Taking a deep breath, I said, "Won, would you ever consider taking off your mask?"
A flicker of vulnerability crossed her features, a silent plea in her eyes. Then, she shook her head gently. "Not yet, Y/n. Maybe someday."
Disappointment tugged at my heart, but seeing the unspoken emotions in her eyes, I understood. This wasn't the right time to push her.
Taking her hand in mine, I squeezed it gently. "Okay," I said softly. "Whenever you're ready."
A warm smile bloomed on her face, chasing away the shadows in her eyes. "Thank you, Y/n. For understanding."
We spent the rest of the evening talking, sipping our coffee, and simply enjoying each other's company. As we walked out of the cafe hand-in-hand, the night sky ablaze with stars, I knew this was just the beginning of something special. The mask might have hidden her face, but it couldn't hide the connection we shared, a connection forged over cups of coffee, shared dreams, and stolen glances under the summer sun.
The next day, A sudden jolt of electricity shot through me as the cafe door chimed, announcing a new arrival. But it wasn't just any customer. It was Won, but this time, there was another man by her side.
He was tall and impeccably dressed, but his aura was cold, his expression unreadable. He held himself stiffly, a stark contrast to Won's usual radiant presence. Even with the mask on, I could sense the tension radiating from her, a silent plea for help I couldn't quite understand.
The man approached the counter, his voice devoid of warmth. "Black coffee, hot. No sugar, and a side of rock sugar."
The odd combination sent a shiver down my spine, but I nodded curtly, professionalism overriding my growing unease. As I brewed the coffee, I stole a glance at Won. Her eyes darted around the cafe nervously, avoiding mine altogether.
When I placed the order on the counter, the man picked up the cup and took a long sip. His face contorted in disgust. He then reached for the rock sugar, a single, unrefined cube, and popped it into his mouth before taking another sip of the coffee. He grimaced again, then let out a heavy sigh.
"Looks like the merger will have to be expedited," he said to Won, his voice laced with a coldness that sent chills down my spine. "Your father called. He needs a faster turnaround on the debt settlement."
Won's mask seemed to shrink around her face, her shoulders slumping in defeat. But amidst the fear in her eyes, there was a flicker of defiance. "Marriage?" she whispered, her voice barely audible.
The man nodded curtly. "That's what your father wants. Apparently, a public display of unity will appease the investors."
A suffocating silence descended upon us. The man seemed oblivious to the turmoil brewing within Won, his gaze fixed on his now lukewarm coffee. But I knew something was terribly wrong. This marriage, this entire situation, felt forced, a business deal masquerading as love.
The man finally set down his cup, his gaze snapping towards Won. "Who is he?" he demanded, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. "The one you truly care about."
The air crackled with tension, the question hanging heavy in the air. My heart pounded in my chest, a drumbeat against my ribs. Won's eyes met mine for a fleeting moment, a silent plea for understanding, for help. And in that shared look, everything hung in the balance.
Unable to bear the suffocating tension any longer, I took a deep breath and approached their table, my voice firm but calm. "Excuse me," I said, forcing a smile, "but could you please keep it down? There are other customers here trying to enjoy their coffee."
The cold man's icy gaze snapped towards me, his expression hardening further. He took a slow, deliberate sip of his coffee, the clink of the cup against the saucer the only sound for a moment.
"A lowlife like you wouldn't understand professionalism," he sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. "Perhaps you haven't noticed, but I could easily buy this entire cafe and kick you out on the street."
A surge of anger flared within me, but I fought it down. This wasn't about me. It was about Won, about the fear and helplessness etched on her face.
"Professionalism isn't about money," I countered, my voice steady despite the tremor in my heart. "It's about respect. Respect for your partner, respect for others around you."
The man scoffed, a humorless sound. "Partners? Don't make me laugh. This is a business arrangement, nothing more." His gaze flickered to Won, his voice softening a touch. "Isn't that right, darling?"
Won remained silent, her eyes downcast. My heart ached for her, for the unspoken words trapped behind the mask.
The man seemed to take her silence as agreement. He flashed a cold smile in my direction, his parting words laced with a veiled threat. "Consider yourself warned, kid. Don't get in the way of things you don't understand. I won't let her be taken that easily." With that, he rose from his seat, leaving Won and me alone in a tense silence.
As the cafe door chimed shut behind him, the weight of his words settled heavily upon us. Won's shoulders slumped further, and for a moment, I thought she might crumble. But then, she lifted her head, a flicker of determination replacing the fear in her eyes.
"Y/n," she whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "We need to talk."
My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat against the sudden surge of hope that bloomed in my chest. This wasn't just fear in her eyes anymore – it was a spark, a defiance against the future that had been thrust upon her.
Before I could respond, she surprised me by reaching out. Her gloved hand cupped my cheek, the touch sending a jolt of electricity through me. My breath hitched as she leaned in closer, the mask a barrier between us yet somehow insignificant in the face of the raw emotion in her eyes.
"Thank you," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper against my lips. "For everything."
Then, in a move that stole my breath away, she leaned forward and kissed me. It wasn't the soft, sweet kiss I'd dreamt of. It was a fleeting touch, a soft brush of cotton from her white mask against mine, yet it held a universe of unspoken emotions. The taste of coffee and something uniquely hers lingered on the fabric as she pulled away, a blush creeping up her cheeks despite the mask.
"I... I need to go," she stammered, her voice flustered. "But this isn't over. Not by a long shot."
With that, she turned and hurried out of the cafe, leaving me standing there in a daze. My hand flew to my lips, the warmth of her touch still tingling on my skin. The kiss was a promise, a declaration whispered against the storm brewing in her life.
Hope, a fragile thing, blossomed in my chest. Won might be trapped, but she wasn't defeated. And neither was I. We had each other, a connection forged over stolen glances and shared dreams. Together, we would find a way. The road ahead might be difficult, but with the faint memory of her touch and the soft brush of cotton from her mask against my lips, I knew I wouldn't face it alone.
A year had crawled by, each day a monotonous echo of the last. The cafe, once a haven for stolen glances and whispered dreams, now felt hollow without Won's presence. I wiped down the counter with a practiced efficiency, a ghost of a smile clinging to my lips. The memory of our date – the sunflowers, the movie, the shared coffee – played on repeat in my mind, a bittersweet reminder of a happiness that felt like a lifetime ago.
Just as I was about to flick off the neon "Open" sign, a soft rapping sound startled me. A figure stood hesitantly on the other side of the glass door, the setting sun casting a golden glow around them. My heart lurched in my chest – could it be…?
With trembling hands, I unlocked the door. A wave of relief washed over me as I saw Won, her ever-present white mask the only thing obscuring her face. But this time, there was a different glint in her eyes, a mix of determination and something else – nervousness?
Before I could even formulate a greeting, she was in my arms, clinging to me like a lifeline. "Y/n," she choked out, her voice thick with emotion. "I'm so sorry."
Tears welled up in my eyes, spilling over as I held her close. "Won," I croaked, my voice hoarse. "I thought… I thought I lost you."
She pulled back slightly, cupping my face in her gloved hands. Her eyes, filled with a newfound fire, held my gaze. "Never," she whispered fiercely. "That awful man… It turned out he was a corrupt business owner. My dad cut ties with him, but it caused a huge fight with my parents. In the end, I couldn't take it anymore. I had to choose my own path."
A smile, hesitant but genuine, bloomed on her face as she slowly began to untie the straps of her mask. My breath hitched in my throat. For all this time, the girl who filled my days with sunshine had been Jang Wonyoung, the K-Pop idol I adored.
Tumblr media
As the mask fell away, revealing the breathtaking beauty I'd only glimpsed in dreams, a blush flooded my cheeks. Her eyes, sparkling with mischief, met mine. "Now you know why I always hid behind the mask, huh?"
A nervous laugh escaped my lips. "If anyone saw you in this cafe, the whole place would explode!"
We both burst into laughter, the tension dissolving into a comfortable warmth that felt like coming home. Wonyoung cupped my cheeks once again, her touch sending shivers down my spine. "It took me a whole year, Sunray Cafe," she admitted, her voice barely a whisper. "But I'm here now. And I'm not going anywhere."
A surge of joy filled me as I leaned in, closing the distance between us. Our kiss was tender, a promise whispered on the wind. "I'm all yours, Wonyoung," I murmured against her lips.
The future stretched before us, uncertain yet filled with possibilities. We had a fight on our hands, the challenge of keeping our love a secret amidst the glare of the spotlight. But together, with the shared warmth of a stolen kiss and a year of yearning, we were ready to face anything. The cafe, once a symbol of lonely longing, was now bathed in the golden glow of a new dawn, the start of a beautiful love story between a barista and his superstar.

pairing , classpresident!wonyoung x fem!reader
synopsis , as listening to beabadoobee’s ‘glue song’, you got an idea to do on your girlfriend.. or at least SOON-to-be girlfriend.
content ahead/genre , fluff!!!, highschool!au, umm no warnings its just silly little fluff
Tumblr media
as you walked into class, only spotting your class pres, teacher, and some other classmates that came a little bit early, you took your seat. wonyoung looked up at you when you came in, her face lighting up at the sight of you.
you smiled at her, taking out your books and laptop to prepare for class. a few others walked in right after you, then came the whole class.
the teacher started the lesson when everybody settled in. you took your notes needed, the noise of the teachers writing on the whiteboard spreading throughout the classroom. you looked over at wonyoung, seeing her listening very carefully and closely at the teachers words as she wrote on and on.
“alright, everyone, please take the rest of class to work on your essays!” the teacher suddenly announced, erasing all of the writing off the whiteboard, making you stop doodling onto your notebook paper. you groaned as you turned the girl sitting beside you, kim chaewon. “i hate this essay..” you whispered to her, everyone around you opening up their laptops. “i hate this too, dont worry..” she responded back.
you put in your headphones, opening up spotify on your phone. you put on a random playlist that you had, ‘glue song’ by beabadoobee playing.
it immediately reminded you of wonyoung.
you didnt know why—you two werent even dating, and you didnt even know if she liked girls or not. but, what you do know, is that you two are the closest. always by eachothers side. and that was when you came up with a funny idea to play on wonyoung. she wouldnt play along, right?
as the bell rang, you immediately closed your laptop and slammed your books closed (gently), just happy to be out of that class. you stuffed all of your supplies inside of your backpack, groaning as you put it on. wonyoung seemed to already have packed up, and talking with the teacher. i mean, she was the class president, anyway.
the last bell of the day rang—indicating that everyone was free to head home. you walked out of class, walking to your locker, disposing a few things before you remembered the idea. you always knew wonyoung would be found at the library right after school, so you headed right over, immediately.
you peeked into the library, taking a look around. you took a step in, greeting the librarian as you asked about wonyoungs whereabouts, “do you know where jang wonyoung is?” you whispered, walking over to the counter where the librarian sat. “umm.. should be right at one of the desks. she’s told me about you, ln yn, right?” a light pink blush dawned onto your cheeks the second the librarian spoke. your heart raced, “uhm.. yes, thank you!” you thanked, immediately walking away to cover your face, and especially to calm down.
you walked to where the desks were located, spotting wonyoung flipping through pages of books and her laptop open. you sneaked over to her, standing beside her, “whatre you doing?” you questioned, startling her a bit as she looked at you, smiling. “hi, um, extra credit.” she replied, pointing at her laptop. you didnt understand anything that was on there, so you just nodded.
“anyway, did you need something?” she asked, directing her attention back to the books, shifting around in the chair. “um..” you thought for a second, taking a breath. “you forgot something today.” you lied (but did you really?). “what? huh? whatd i forget? i never forget anything,” she scrambled, as you just stopped her with a giggle. “no, not that.. you forgot to kiss me.”
“..are you serious?” a blush appeared on her cheeks as she turned to you, and you definitely did NOT expect her to react like this. “do you want me to be, jang wonyoung?” you teased, “oh shut up..” the taller girl mumbled, embarrassed, standing up.
“so are you?”
“am i gonna what?”
“kiss me.”
tension fueled between you two as wonyoung grabbed a book out of her book-bag, you confused on what she was about to do. she opened it up, holding it with her left hand. she covered the both of your guys’ side profiles with the book, covering the view of what you guys were about to do.
she leaned in, kissing you as her lips crashed onto yours. immediately after a few seconds, she pulled back, leaving you stunned. she then let go of the book, closing it and putting it back into her book-bag. she then went back to what she was doing, sitting down, acting like nothing happened. you sat down in the chair beside her, in a daze. your face was bright red as you dug your head into the wooden, cold desk.
“..no way class pres did that.” - k.mj
“did what?” - y.jm
“she held up a book to cover her and yns kiss,” - k.mj
‘ DON’T FORGET TO KISS ME,, OR ELSE YOU’LL HAVE TO MISS ME .. ’

` wedding : jang wonyoung
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: your girlfriend was never good at keeping secrets, this time not only she catch attention to both of you but she reveals your plans to future.
pairing: jang wonyoung x ive!reader
Tumblr media
ive's live was being protagonized by 04 line, already having too much clips since the beginning of it. starship was pretty much careful about them, something about their chemistry and their popular personalities was a thing they needed to take care of, not because the four of you would start some kind of scandal but because you were too much. loud, chaotic, funny, sometimes even forgetting that you were literally idols and you had an image to protect. you were almost fans favorite. on top of that, you were the two popular ships within the group. lizrei and wonyyn quickly became a hot trend the moment you started the live.
wonyoung, who was sitting on your left, was having quite a hard time trying not to look at you with literally her natural heart eyes, whenever you were talking about something you remembered or telling something to dive, even when you just giggle at their comments, wonyoung was mesmerized. her hands found the way to touch you underneath the table, leaving a hand on top of your leg, a habit of hers.
wonyoung gets anxious when she's right next to you and can't touch you. she needs to place her hand on any part of your body to feel safe, whether is your waist, your leg, softly gripping on your clothes, holding hands and stuff like that. some curious dive had notice her hand on your leg and were talking about it but nothing really caught attention. not until miss jang wonyoung screwed it up again.
while talking about christmas and how it was such a holiday filled with love, liz read a comment.
diveinttoive: did you ever plan to get married?
"oh, i think i never really thought about it like that." liz answered.
"yeah me too but yn does for sure. that's even her new year's wish." rei spilled, smiling at you.
"i mean, a ring would look very cute on my finger." you said as you were showing your hand to the camera, having a ring already that wonyoung gave you the day you became girlfriends.
"but you have one." liz pointed out.
"yes, it was a gift from wony. a promise ring." the girl named smiled proudly at the fact. "but i want the engagement ring. that would be so cute." you pouted, caressing the finger where you would place it.
"i think i would look cute as your bridesmaid."
"i think that the five of us would look cute as the bridesmaid." liz added to rei's comment.
"four." wonyoung corrected.
"huh?"
"four of you. i'm not the bridesmaid, i am the bride."
"but i though yn was the one getting married?" liz was confused.
there were almost 5 seconds of pure silence that felt like hell when they both realized what they said.
"so... you're marrying me?" you leaned in the table, head resting in your arm, teasing wonyoung with the most beautiful eyes.
"no—" you raised your eyebrows. "i mean! yes... no!"
rei and liz couldn't hold their laughter at their usually calm friend now getting the blush of her life.
ggaeulsunbbae: wow wonyoung never beating the gay allegations huh
kurakurannie: did this really just happen?
yujinniesbae: they're cute UGH.
"dive are getting wild." liz said while reading the screen.
"wonyoungie are you okay?" rei laughed.
yes, wonyoung couldn't stop the blushing or her heart almost escaping from her chest from beating that fast. you caressed her back, drawing circles trying to calm her down.
"alright, what about you two getting married?" you said, redirecting the target to both liz and rei so that you two could breath.
"wait— what?" liz got nervous.
. . .
"you might got us in trouble, did you know that?" you asked your girlfriend.
now that cameras were off, you were laying down in bed, cuddling wonyoung as she was in top of you like she always do when she needs your kisses and caresses.
"i know!" she sighed. "i just— i just wanted to let them know."
"know what, baby?"
"that we are getting married." she pouts, looking up right in your eyes.
you bite your lip to fight the urge to kiss her, but then you remember. no cameras. so you do, you give her a small kiss and you feel how wonyoung is melting under your hold.
"they're gonna see it someday, i know."
she smiles and it makes your heart feel so warm and safe. you were totally looking forward for the day you could see wonyoung in a long pretty white dress and finally getting to call her your wife.

Realize (J. Wonyoung X M! Reader)
Tumblr media
Hello, Wonyo_Wonyo here. I've came back from the depths of the pitiful reality, and returned with a new oneshot. Kinda lost my touch though, but I hope you all enjoy this one.I'll probably try to drop more stories soon, If I get the motivation to do it. Feel free to drop some suggestions too.
Tumblr media
------------------------------------------------------------
3RD PERSON POV
Y/N had always been captivated by Wonyoung. Her elegance, her wit, the way she carried herself—it was all mesmerizing. From the moment he first saw her at the university's annual charity gala, he knew he had to get to know her better. She was wearing a stunning silver dress that made her stand out from the crowd, her long, dark hair cascading down her back in soft waves. She moved with a grace and confidence that drew everyone's attention, but it was the kindness in her eyes when she spoke to others that truly caught Y/N's heart.
The first time they spoke was during one of their shared classes. Y/N mustered up the courage to approach her after a particularly challenging lecture on quantum mechanics. As he gathered his books and steeled himself for rejection, he noticed Wonyoung struggling to fit her notes into her already overflowing bag. He saw his chance and seized it.
"Hey, do you need some help with that?" Y/N asked, offering her a friendly smile.
Wonyoung looked up, surprise flashing in her eyes before she returned his smile. "Oh, thank you. That would be great. My bag seems to have a mind of its own."
Y/N chuckled and helped her organize her things. As they walked out of the lecture hall together, they found themselves engaged in a lively conversation about the class. Wonyoung was not only beautiful but also incredibly intelligent. She had a way of explaining complex concepts that made them seem almost simple.
"Quantum mechanics is a nightmare," Y/N said, shaking his head. "I don't know how you make it look so easy."
Wonyoung laughed, a light, melodic sound. "It's not easy, trust me. I just enjoy the challenge."
From that day on, Y/N made it a point to be around her as much as possible. He offered to study together, grabbed coffee after classes, and even joined the same student clubs. Wonyoung seemed to enjoy his company, always smiling when she saw him and engaging in their conversations with genuine interest.
However, every time Y/N tried to take things to the next level, she would pull back just enough to keep him at arm's length. She would thank him for the flowers he sent with a sweet message but never agree to a date. He'd ask her out, and she'd say she was busy but then give him a lingering look that kept his hopes up. It was a dance that went on for months, with Y/N pouring his heart into every gesture and Wonyoung playing hard to get.
One particularly frustrating evening, Y/N decided to make a grand gesture. He had learned that Wonyoung loved classical music, so he managed to get two tickets to a highly sought-after concert in town. Nervously, he approached her after class.
"Wonyoung, I know you're busy, but I got us tickets to the Philharmonic concert this Friday. I thought it would be something you'd enjoy," Y/N said, hope shining in his eyes.
Wonyoung's expression softened, and for a moment, Y/N thought she would say yes. But then, her smile faltered. "Oh, Y/N, that's so sweet of you, but I already have plans with some friends. I'm really sorry."
Y/N's heart sank. "No worries. Maybe another time?"
"Maybe," Wonyoung replied, her tone unconvincing.
Y/N's initial attempts to win Wonyoung's heart were met with mixed signals that left him in a constant state of hope and frustration. He decided to take a more direct approach and invited her to a popular café on campus known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious pastries.
"Wonyoung, I was thinking we could grab some coffee after class. There's a new café that opened up, and I hear their pastries are amazing," Y/N suggested, his voice filled with optimism.
Wonyoung's eyes twinkled with interest, but her response was hesitant. "That sounds nice, but I already have plans with my study group. Maybe another time?"
Y/N's smile faltered slightly, but he quickly recovered. "Sure, another time then."
Despite the setbacks, Y/N refused to give up. He learned that Wonyoung loved literature, so he spent hours in the library researching her favorite authors and genres. One day, he surprised her with a beautifully bound copy of a classic novel she had mentioned in passing.
"I thought you might like this," Y/N said, handing her the book.
Wonyoung's eyes widened in surprise and delight. "Oh my gosh, Y/N, this is one of my favorites! Thank you so much!"
Her genuine appreciation gave Y/N a glimmer of hope, but as soon as he tried to suggest they read it together, she quickly changed the subject.
"Maybe we can discuss it over coffee?" Y/N ventured.
Wonyoung's smile turned apologetic. "I'd love to, but I have a meeting with my project group. How about a rain check?"
Y/N's heart sank, but he nodded. "Of course, a rain check."
As weeks turned into months, Y/N's efforts intensified. He attended every event she mentioned, from art exhibitions to charity runs. He even signed up for a cooking class she was taking, hoping to spend more time with her.
During the cooking class, they worked side by side, preparing a complex dish together. Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as they created something delicious together.
"This is really fun, Y/N," Wonyoung said, her eyes sparkling as they tasted their creation.
Y/N smiled, his heart swelling with joy. "It is. Maybe we could cook together more often?"
Wonyoung's expression turned thoughtful. "Maybe. We'll see."
Despite the fleeting moments of connection, Wonyoung continued to keep Y/N at a distance. He found himself questioning his every move, wondering if he was doing something wrong or if she simply wasn't interested.
------------------------------------------------------------
One evening, after another unsuccessful attempt to ask her out, Y/N found himself sitting alone in the campus garden, his heart heavy with doubt. His best friend, Sungjae, found him there and sat down beside him.
"Hey, man. You look like you could use a friend," Sungjae said, his tone sympathetic.
Y/N sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know what to do, Sungjae. I've tried everything to show Wonyoung how much I care about her, but she keeps pulling away."
Sungjae patted his shoulder. "Maybe she just needs more time. Or maybe she's scared to let someone in."
Y/N nodded, though uncertainty gnawed at him. "I just wish I knew how she really felt."
------------------------------------------------------------
Despite her mixed signals, Y/N persisted. He attended every event she mentioned she was interested in, made sure to remember the little things she liked, and always tried to be there for her when she needed someone to talk to. But eventually, the constant back-and-forth took its toll. He was tired of the uncertainty, the feeling that he was always one step behind. So, one day, he decided to stop. He stopped sending flowers, stopped asking her out, stopped trying to win her over. It was time to move on.
Wonyoung noticed the change immediately. At first, she thought it was a phase, that he'd bounce back with renewed determination. But as days turned into weeks, the realization hit her—she missed him. She missed his efforts, his thoughtfulness, the way he made her feel special. The absence of his attention left a void she hadn't anticipated.
One evening, as Y/N was packing up his things at the end of a long day, Wonyoung appeared. She looked different—nervous, unsure. It was a stark contrast to her usual confident self.
"Can we talk?" she asked softly.
Y/N nodded, motioning for her to sit down. She took a deep breath, her eyes meeting his with a vulnerability he hadn't seen before.
"I've been thinking a lot," she began. "About us, about everything you've done for me. I guess I didn't realize how much it meant to me until you stopped."
Y/N listened, his heart pounding. This was the moment he'd been waiting for, but now that it was here, he felt a mix of emotions.
"I was scared," she admitted. "Scared of how much I was starting to care about you. But now, I know that I don't want to lose you."
Y/N took her hand in his, a smile spreading across his face. "Wonyoung, I've always been here. I'm glad you finally realized what you want."
She squeezed his hand, a look of determination in her eyes. "I do. And if you're still willing, I want to give us a real chance."
Y/N nodded, the joy in his heart undeniable. "I've always been willing."
------------------------------------------------------------
The following weeks were a whirlwind of new experiences and deeper connections. Wonyoung, true to her word, was committed to making things work between them. She made an effort to spend more time with Y/N, to open up about her fears and dreams, and to show him how much she appreciated everything he had done for her.
One weekend, Wonyoung suggested a trip to the countryside. It was a spontaneous idea, something she had always wanted to do but never found the right moment for. Y/N agreed, eager to explore new places with her and create lasting memories.
The drive to the countryside was filled with laughter and music. Wonyoung sang along to her favorite songs, her voice filling the car with warmth. Y/N couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of contentment he hadn't felt in a long time. As they drove through winding roads surrounded by lush greenery, he realized how much he had grown to love her.
When they arrived at their destination, a charming bed-and-breakfast nestled in a picturesque village, Wonyoung's excitement was contagious. They spent the days exploring the village, hiking through scenic trails, and enjoying each other's company. In the evenings, they sat by the fireplace, sharing stories and dreams.
One night, as they both lay on a blanket under the starry sky, Wonyoung turned to Y/N, her eyes reflecting the moonlight.
"Thank you," she whispered.
"For what?" Y/N asked, turning to face her.
"For not giving up on me," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "For being patient, for caring so much. I never realized how lucky I was until now."
------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
------------------------------------------------------------
Y/N reached out and brushed a strand of hair from her face. "I never gave up because I believed in us. And I'm glad you do too now."
Wonyoung smiled, leaning in to kiss him. It was a gentle, tender kiss, filled with promises of a future together. In that moment, Y/N knew that everything he had gone through was worth it. The chase, the uncertainty, the heartache—it all led to this beautiful realization.
As he held her in his arms, he felt a sense of peace and happiness. He had finally found what he was looking for, and it was more than he had ever imagined.
Back at university, their relationship continued to grow. They became the couple everyone admired, not because of grand gestures, but because of the genuine love and respect they had for each other. They supported each other's goals, celebrated each other's successes, and comforted each other during difficult times.
Wonyoung's friends noticed the change in her. She seemed happier, more at ease. They saw how much she cared about Y/N, how she went out of her way to make him feel loved. It wasn't just the little gifts or the surprise visits; it was the way she looked at him, the way she spoke about him. It was clear to everyone that she had fallen deeply in love with him.
------------------------------------------------------------
One day, as they were walking together on campus, Wonyoung stopped and turned to Y/N. There was a seriousness in her eyes that made his heart skip a beat.
"There's something I need to tell you," she said, taking a deep breath.
Y/N nodded, his curiosity piqued. "What is it?"
Wonyoung hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I've been offered an internship abroad. It's an incredible opportunity, but it means I'll be away for a year."
Y/N's heart sank at the thought of being apart from her for so long. He knew how important this internship was for her career, but the idea of not seeing her every day was painful.
"I don't want to leave you," she continued, her voice trembling. "But this is something I've worked so hard for. I don't know what to do."
Y/N took her hands in his, squeezing them gently. "Wonyoung, this is your dream. You have to go. We'll make it work, no matter what. I believe in us."
Tears welled up in her eyes as she hugged him tightly. "I don't deserve you," she whispered.
"You deserve everything, Wonyoung," he replied, holding her close. "And I'll be right here, waiting for you."
The months that followed were challenging, but Y/N and Wonyoung found ways to stay connected. They talked every day,
sharing their experiences and supporting each other from afar. The distance was hard, but it also made them appreciate each other even more.
Wonyoung thrived in her internship, gaining valuable experience and making important connections. She often spoke about how much she missed Y/N, but she also expressed how grateful she was for his unwavering support.
As the year drew to a close, they both counted down the days until they would be reunited. The anticipation was almost unbearable, but it also filled them with excitement. Y/N planned a special celebration for her return, wanting to show her just how much he had missed her.
When the day finally arrived, Y/N stood at the airport, his heart pounding with anticipation. As soon as he saw Wonyoung walking towards him, all the months of separation melted away. She ran into his arms, and he held her tightly, never wanting to let go.
"I'm home," she whispered, tears of joy streaming down her face.
------------------------------------------------------------
Tumblr media
------------------------------------------------------------
"Welcome home," he replied, kissing her softly. "I've missed you so much."
The experiences they both had during that year apart strengthened their bond even further. They realized that love wasn't just about being together all the time, but about supporting each other's dreams and growing together, even when apart.
Wonyoung's return brought a renewed sense of purpose and excitement to their relationship. They made a promise to each other to never take their time together for granted and to cherish every moment they had. The weeks following her return were filled with joyful reunions, long conversations, and a deepening of their connection.
------------------------------------------------------------
One evening, Y/N and Wonyoung found themselves sitting on a park bench, the sunset casting a warm glow over them. Wonyoung rested her head on Y/N's shoulder, a contented smile on her face.
"Do you remember the first time we met?" Y/N asked, his voice soft.
Wonyoung nodded, her eyes closed. "Of course, I do. It was at the charity gala. You were so nervous when you approached me."
Y/N chuckled, reminiscing. "I was terrified. But I knew I had to talk to you. There was something about you that just drew me in."
Wonyoung looked up at him, her eyes filled with affection. "I'm glad you did. You changed my life, Y/N."
"You changed mine too," Y/N replied, kissing her forehead.
As the months went by, Y/N and Wonyoung continued to support each other's aspirations. They attended each other's events, celebrated milestones, and were there for each other during challenges. Their relationship was built on a foundation of trust, respect, and a deep understanding of one another.
One day, Y/N received an exciting opportunity. A renowned research institution offered him a position to lead a groundbreaking project. It was a dream come true, but it also meant he would have to move to another city for a year. When he shared the news with Wonyoung, he saw a mix of emotions in her eyes—pride, excitement, and a hint of sadness.
"This is an incredible opportunity, Y/N," Wonyoung said, her voice steady. "You have to take it. It's your dream."
Y/N took her hands in his, searching her eyes. "But what about us? I don't want to be away from you again."
Wonyoung smiled, her eyes shining with determination. "We've done this before, and we can do it again. We both have dreams to chase, and we'll always find our way back to each other."
Her words filled Y/N with hope and reassurance. They had faced challenges before and come out stronger. He knew that with Wonyoung by his side, they could overcome anything.
As Y/N prepared for his move, they made a promise to stay connected and support each other through this new chapter of their lives. They spent their remaining days together creating memories, exploring new places, and deepening their bond. They knew that distance could never weaken their love.
The night before Y/N's departure, they sat on the rooftop of their favorite building, looking out at the city lights. Wonyoung leaned into him, her head resting on his chest.
"Promise me something," she said softly.
"Anything," Y/N replied, holding her close.
"Promise me that no matter where life takes us, we'll always find our way back to each other," Wonyoung whispered.
Y/N kissed the top of her head, his heart swelling with love. "I promise. Always."
------------------------------------------------------------
The year apart was challenging, but Y/N and Wonyoung stayed true to their promise. They talked every day, sharing their successes and supporting each other through the tough times. The distance only strengthened their love and commitment.
Y/N's project was a resounding success, and he returned with a sense of accomplishment and excitement for the future. Wonyoung greeted him at the airport, her smile brighter than ever. They embraced, tears of joy streaming down their faces.
"I'm so proud of you," Wonyoung said, her voice filled with emotion.
"I'm proud of us," Y/N replied, holding her tightly.
Their love story was one of perseverance, trust, and unwavering support. They had faced challenges and come out stronger, their bond unbreakable. Together, they knew they could achieve anything.
As they walked hand in hand out of the airport, ready to face whatever the future held, they knew one thing for certain—no matter where life took them, they would always find their way back to each other. Their love was a journey, and they were ready to embrace every moment of it, together.

Secret Spouses
Jang Wonyoung x F! reader
Warnings: Non, Fluff
Word Count: 1.5k
A/n:Another wonyoung fluff!
˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖
"Miss Y/Ln! You won't believe what Miss Jang just said!" The door burst open, and one of my students came charging in, clearly bursting with news from our neighboring teacher.
"Oh boy, what's she up to now?" I chuckled, already bracing myself for another round of Miss Jang's antics. I rolled my eyes at the thought.
"She's all about getting a golden retriever, just like you!" The student blurted out, barely containing their excitement.
My eyes widened in disbelief. Without a second thought, I hopped up and made a beeline for the door. Facing Miss Jang's room right across the hall, I couldn't resist the opportunity.
"Hey, Wonyoung! Quit copying me! I've been wanting a golden retriever way longer than you!" I yelled, shaking my fist in mock protest.
"Ha! You wish! I've had that idea way before you, Y/n!" Miss Jang shot back, crossing her arms in playful defiance.
Our students were eating this up. Our back-and-forth had become a daily spectacle, like a mini comedy show for them. They'd giggle and watch as we playfully argued, knowing it was all in good fun.
"No, I'm sick and tired of you copying me, so stop it," I grumbled, frustration evident as I shut the door firmly. Turning to my students, I exaggeratedly sighed, "Goodness gracious, this lady is making me lose my mind!" Their laughter filled the room, lightening the tension.
Resuming my seat at the desk, I focused on preparing for the upcoming lesson. But before I could get too engrossed, my door swung open abruptly, revealing Wonyoung standing there, her eyebrow raised in a mix of annoyance and curiosity.
"I do not appreciate you slamming the door in my face," she said, arms folded, clearly miffed.
"I didn't slam the door in your face. You were in your classroom. Slamming the door in your face would mean you were where my door is," I retorted, a hint of exasperation in my voice, accompanied by an eye roll.
"Potato, potahto," she replied, her tone nonchalant.
"Go teach your class, Wonyoung," I said, a note of dismissal in my voice, accompanied by a disapproving click of my tongue.
"Fine, but this isn't over," she huffed, shooting me a pointed look, and then briskly walked back to her classroom, leaving a lingering sense of playful tension in the air.
"You and Miss Jang are perfect for each other," one of my students giggled, setting off a chain reaction of laughter among the others.
"I mean, they do say opposites attract," chimed in another student, adding to the playful banter.
Before I knew it, the entire class was caught up in a frenzy of creating a ship name and discussing the imaginary relationship between Miss Jang and me. Their excitement filled the room with chatter and giggles.
"Class, settle down, please," I interjected, trying to regain their attention amid the buzz of gossip. I couldn't help but chuckle at their antics. "Stop shipping us together. She's sooo annoying," I playfully rolled my eyes, hoping to steer the conversation back to the lesson.
"Just saying, Miss Y/Ln, you two would be soooo cute together," another one of my students teased, a mischievous glint in their eye.
"I'll leave that to your vivid imaginations," I replied with a playful grin, hoping to redirect their attention. "Okay, today we're diving into world history."
As the class came to an end, I swung the door open and found Wonyoung doing the same, her students trailing behind her. We shared a knowing wink, a silent acknowledgment of the ongoing friendly rivalry.
"Hey kids, how was class? Isn't Miss Y/Ln super boring?" Wonyoung playfully teased, pretending to snore, earning a few giggles from her students.
"Hey! You're the boring one! You teach math! Who likes math?" I retorted with a mock scowl, eliciting a chorus of "Yeah!" and nods of agreement from my own students.
Our banter continued, the age-old debate between subjects sparking a playful exchange between us, much to the amusement of our respective classes.
"Math is fun! I don't know what you're talking about," Wonyoung declared, sticking her tongue out at me with a playful smirk.
My jaw dropped in mock astonishment. "Do not stick your tongue out at me! Are you a child?" I feigned offense, raising an eyebrow in playful exaggeration.
Wonyoung's response was a soft murmur and averted gaze. "No," she murmured, suppressing a smile.
Laughter erupted from the students around us. "She got you, Miss Jang!" one of the students teased, reveling in the light-hearted banter between the teachers.
"Alright, kids, go grab some lunch. I'll catch you around campus, and remember, if you need anything, my door's always open for you," I said, bidding my students farewell with a warm smile.
"Same goes for me too, kids!" Wonyoung chimed in after me, a playful sparkle in her eyes as she glanced teasingly in my direction, maintaining the playful rivalry without betraying our secret.
Wonyoung and I shared a hidden secret—behind the playful banter, we were actually married. Our students were completely unaware, thinking our ongoing rivalry was all in good fun. It added a layer of amusement to our daily interactions, knowing that our private life was our own little secret, tucked away from their curious eyes.
As the last of our students left the room, Wonyoung and I exchanged affectionate glances. She walked over to me, gently guiding me into my empty classroom before shutting the door. Pulling me into a warm embrace, she planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"How's your day been, love?" she whispered softly, brushing a strand of hair behind my ear, her eyes filled with tenderness.
"It's been wonderful. The kids have quite the imagination; they ship us together," I chuckled, feeling the warmth of our shared secret. "And yours? How's your day been?"
"They have good taste, pairing the right people together and my day has been going well," Wonyoung chuckled, a playful glint in her eyes.
"The day we reveal the truth to them, their minds will be blown," I replied with a chuckle, relishing in the shared secrecy of our relationship, hidden behind the façade of our playful rivalry.
"Well, I better go before we blow our cover. I love you," Wonyoung said, giving me another tender peck before heading off.
"I love you too," I replied, watching her walk to her classroom, where she settled in to eat her lunch. I followed suit, taking out my own lunch and reflecting on the hidden joy of our shared secret.
"Miss Y/Ln! We've finally decided on your and Miss Jang's ship name!" A group of my students burst in with palpable excitement. I stared at them in disbelief. "Wait, you guys still ship me with Miss Jang even after all our banter?" I asked incredulously.
"Yes, like we said before, opposites attract!" they chimed in, their enthusiasm unwavering. A chorus of agreement came from the other students, nodding in agreement with their friends.
"Alright, hit me with the name," I sighed, giving in to their excitement.
"(Potential ship name), how about that? It's perfect!" They squealed with delight at their chosen name.
I chuckled in amusement. "That's quite something. Make sure to tell Miss Jang about it; she'd probably get a kick out of this!"
"Okay, let's go now before lunch is over!" They dashed off excitedly toward Miss Jang's room. As they hurried away, I noticed a few pairs of eyes glancing at me, widening with surprise before breaking into laughter at the students' enthusiastic antics with the ship name.
As lunchtime came to an end, the rumor mill had spun our ship name throughout the school. Middle school students, known for their liveliness, were quick to create pairings. In both my 5th-period class and Miss Jang's, conversations buzzed about how Wonyoung and I would make a cute couple.
Even a week later, the chatter persisted. Wonyoung and I decided to reveal the truth during an assembly dedicated to us, with the principal in on the plan. Standing side by side with microphones in hand, we prepared to disclose our secret.
"Hi, everyone. As you've been shipping us together, calling us a cute couple, and believing that 'opposites attract,' we—" I began, but Wonyoung interjected excitedly, "We're actually married, everyone!" She chuckled, playfully stealing the thunder.
Amidst the commotion, the students reacted intensely—some screamed in shock, while others shed tears, claiming that their "parents" were together, whatever that meant.
"Yes, Miss Jang and I are together. Here are our wedding photos if you're suspicious, but you guys are right; we do make a cute couple," I teased the students, reveling in their surprised and joyful reactions. They cheered, as if discovering our marriage was a dream come true.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! The students started to chant, their enthusiasm contagious. Wonyoung and I chuckled, feeling a bit bashful, but we couldn't resist fulfilling their request. As we kissed, Wonyoung playfully exaggerated, dipping me dramatically, and the kids erupted in cheer. We pulled away, laughing at their playful antics.
Then, Wonyoung grabbed the mic once more, excitement evident in her voice. "Guess what! We have an announcement to make. We're going to be parents!" Her announcement sent a wave of excitement through the students, and they erupted into another round of cheering.
Amidst the joyous chaos, we couldn't help but share in the infectious energy of our students. Being teachers brought us immense joy, and moments like these made it all worthwhile.

⭑ you're just like an angel . friend!wonyoung + fem!reader . wc 0.26k
in the dim light of her room, you glance at wonyoung's perfectly sculpted features, illuminated by the moonlight seeping in through the curtains.
her head is resting on your shoulder as she rambles on about some guy, her voice soft and filled with such adoration. as she continues to talk, you can't help but feel a pang of weariness wash over you.
how many times have you listened to her talk about someone else ? how many nights have you spent silently longing for her to notice you ? how many times has your heart been broken by her ?
unable to hear his name fall from her tinted lips any longer, you interrupt her mid-sentence. " won, " you whisper, voice low but tinged with frustration, " i'm tired of hearing about him. "
she pauses, gazing at you, confusion clouding her features. " w-what do you mean ? have i been talking too long, ynnie ? " her tone was laced with uncertainty, and as she looked at you with those big eyes of hers, god, you swore you could do anything for her.
your heart clenches at the sight of her, " no, i- " your words are caught in your throat as her eyes search yours. " it's nothing, i'm just tired. i think i'll head home, kay ? "
as you turn to leave, wonyoung's confusion is evident in her expression. she reaches out, her hand tentative as she tries to grasp yours, but you pull away gently, a sad smile playing on your lips.
" wonyoung. not today, alright ? " you murmur softly, your voice carried a hint of resignation.
you feel your heart hurt as you step back from her, and out of her room, bag clutched tightly in your grasp. a lone tear escapes your eye, tracing a wet path down your cheek as you silently wished for things to be different.
if only she would ever look at you. if only she saw you for who you truly were.
if only she loved you.

hi, can u write a wonyoung x male reader fluff?
Even Princesses Cry Sometimes
IZ Days of Christmas: Day 12 - Jang Wonyoung
IVE's Jang Wonyoung x Male/Female Reader Fluff
2,123 words
Categories | short, slightly angsty, idol!Wonyoung, caring!reader, tears and cuddles
Very short and late, but who cares?
Maybe I'll catch up with Yujin and Yuri some of these days.
Tumblr media
It’s always another day, another front she’s putting up. Another disguise. Of course, only you know about the partial artificiality of it all. When she tries to put on a brave face throughout her schedules, or tells a particularly rude fan to take care of themself despite their scathing words, part of your heart just aches with the knowledge. Like you, she’s still so young - no eighteen-year-old has to bear with the pressure of the world burdening their shoulders like rocks.
No eighteen-year-old has gone through as much as Jang Wonyoung has. You want to make it easier for her, but she almost never lets you. She’s built such a great wall around herself that even you, her partner, can’t break through. Even if you summoned all the might into your fists and beat around its bricks, it would take long before you can even make a hole.
For the wall to be broken, the one who built it must reach out.
Gaze at the television and wonder when that will happen. It’s rarer than anything. But there she stands, gorgeous as always. Her dark hair flows in the night, and the blue dress that drapes around her form makes her look like a princess. With the colors and her makeup, she can easily pass as a Korean Cinderella. No, she can’t be Cinderella - Wonyoung never needs someone to save her. She was never a damsel in distress, which is why she’s expressed her dislike for the tale so many times:
(“It’s so… fucking odd, jagi-ya,” laughed Wonyoung, over a pack of potato salted-egg chips, while she lounged with you on the sofa. The TV was on, the classical Cinderella was playing, and Wonyoung was… well, unimpressed. She ran through her locks of messy curled hair and added, “I understand the situation. I really do—”
“You don’t,” you interrupted truthfully, but not without a smile. Oh, never without a smile; Wonyoung is your happy pill, no matter what she says.
Wonyoung laughed loudly, pushing you in the chest hard. Laughter overtook her tiny frame. “Fine, fine!” she admitted. “I don’t, but see here… this is fucking ridiculous. It’s just- ugh!” She rolled her eyes and gave you an exasperated look. “But you get me, don’t you? You get what I mean?”
There was a hint of fear in those beautiful eyes of hers. Something told you that the question was born not out of frustration, but was instead from caution nested in the swindle of circumstance the universe had blown her to. Was Wonyoung afraid she would offend you? Had the headlines and tabloid articles created a phobia she’d never dare tell anyone - not even you?
But then your lips found her forehead creased with lines of worry, and you felt them relax beneath the touch of your love. Wonyoung settled into your arms as if she were your little songbird, and you were the only nest she found that would not break.
“I do, hon,” you told her. “I do.”)
Fine, you’d settle for her being no one because not one princess out there can match Wonyoung in everything she does. She’s the perfect girl, the perfect idol. She’s pretty, talented, and charismatic enough to attract all of her success by herself. No girl her age is at the point of success she has at her fingertips. But it’s something that can easily be snatched from her with just the wrong move. Everyday is a challenge for her; too much smiling equals to her being too flirtatious, but little smiling and winks mean that she’s too reserved and self-centered to take notice of the people around her. In everything she does, begrudged people find a way to twist it around into a bad light.
You admire how resilient she is. Much to the shock of her admirers and fanatics, it isn’t exactly ideal to live a life being so closely watched. Not even with all the wealth she possesses. The way she has learned to cope with it independently teaches you more life lessons than any seminar could. But you want to remind her sometimes that she doesn’t have to be strong all the time with you. You can take her falls. You have each other, don’t you? Isn’t that what partners are for?
The fall of the princess is televised, put out there for everyone to pick apart and make fun of. Worst of all, you aren't able to catch her.
-
Wonyoung is happy to find out that her group, the monster rookie idol band IVE, won a lot of medals and marked new milestones. But now tears slip down her beautiful face. The camera focuses on her. It loves her, craves her - every bit of Jang Wonyoung is too pretty to not be captured and immortalized; of course it does. She sees it and tries to stop, but the fat drops of grief - grief for what could have been, what should have been; grief for her young self who wasn’t and isn’t able to enjoy the last few years of her childhood - continue to pour down like rain.
As the colorful confetti falls from the roof of the grand stadium, she falls, too, and the members start to take notice. Yujin leans over to ask if she needs a tissue, and Jiwon rubs a comforting hand on her back. But none quench the need for a hug she has buried deep inside her heart. She needs someone beyond her friends slash co-workers. She needs you.
Wonyoung looks around. There are only crowds and crowds of noisy fans and cameras flashing. But her observant eyes scrutinize every corner in the large room for any sign of you. There’s still hope in her heart that you’ll come dashing into the show to help her. Sort of like a knight in shining armor in a children’s fairy tale.
Jagi-ya? Where are you? I need you right now, please. You can’t leave me here.
Then she remembers: her life may be glamorous, but it isn’t a fairytale. She’s only one girl, in a massive crowd of people she doesn’t know, trying to make it through the night. Her thoughts are making it more than difficult though. They consist of the pain she went through to get here: those dark nights where she practiced till her legs felt like they were going to snap, the harsh scolding she received from teachers, days when her schedules were so packed that she didn’t even have the time to eat or even breathe…
Wonyoung’s makeup is stained with her own sadness. She’s gorgeous - that’s an indisputable fact, she’s talented, she’s young and successful. But what are the hardships she had to bear and all its blooming fruits worth if she doesn’t have you?
She’s torn up from the inside. She needs you now, more than anything, yet you are nowhere to be found. But it isn’t your fault. She’s been too reserved and private after all, dealing with her matters and affairs by herself. It’s only natural that you would think that she can handle her tears. Compared to everything she has to handle, tears are merely a little thing. You’re already used to the idea of her being self-reliant, so why would you show up now?
Her phone buzzes all of a sudden. One click at the side of the costly phone case, she’s able to see your messages.
You | 11:47 PM | Hey, princess?
You want to take the night off a little early? Watch some clueless? :)
-
And she thought you’d never come.
Wonyoung crashes between your rounded arms. This time, you don’t worry about messing up her hair, which must have taken hours to curl. You don’t hold yourself back from taking her in your arms, although the stylists warned her not to ruin the pretty blue dress. No, you bury your face into her neck, kissing it over and over. You’re happy to see her; only meeting her less these past few weeks has made you lonelier than you’d like to admit. And you know that she’s happy too; her tearful, beautiful eyes sparkle when she gazes up at you. But you also know that, although she would rather die than admit it, she’s been missing the comfort of someone caring for her.
She’s a princess, and you’re her knight in shining armor. Wonyoung rarely needs you, much less a knight to come save her. But she appreciates your love. She’ll hide it behind blushes and playful circles of her eyes, but she loves you. It comforts her that you do, too.
People are staring. The cameras start flashing. The same fear gathers up in Wonyoung’s heart again, but this time, she shoves it aside. She’s not going to hide her love for you anymore. She won’t let anyone get in her way.
The wall has finally broken and deteriorated.
Wonyoung seizes your face in between her slim hands, and kisses you deeply. It surprises you; her full lips are extremely soft, brushing over your pink ones and locking them with hers. Her eyes close, but your eyelids remain parted. This time, you’re the one scared. You aren’t scared of your own reputation, but for Wonyoung. What will the media do when they find out she has a partner already? Oh, how they’d villainize her! How they’d paint her into a promiscuous, indifferent queen bee!
“W-Wonyoung,” you stammer, when she finally stops. “The, the media—”
“Darling, please. I don’t care anymore. I just want you.”
Her words feed into a phone-installed recorder nearby. The woman holding it looks horrified, but Wonyoung simply gives her a coy wink. You smile; that’s the Jang Wonyoung you know.
You smile sincerely. Brush the tears from her face with your thumb, and realize just how much you love Wonyoung. It’s like destiny tied your threads together from the beginning. You were just a fan of her back in Produce 48 because you love how brave she was to put herself out there, despite being your age only. Hell, you couldn’t do that. When she met you at  a fanmeeting and discreetly passed you her number, you were on top of the world. It was straight out of a fanfiction.
But all fanfictions end. That can’t be said about you and her. You’re best friends, lovers, and frenemies all at once. Your relationship is built around deep friendship, and that’s why you’re certain that the love you share with Wonyoung will go on forever.
“That’s my girl,” you whisper, kissing her forehead. It’s only you and her in this stadium. All the others are faceless ghosts, nothing to worry about. “Movie night?”
Wonyoung smiles giddily. “You bet!”
-
For the first time in years, Wonyoung completely cuddles up in your lap. Thank your parents for having tall genes; if you were any shorter than Wonyoung, you would be the one seated in her lap. It would be the other way around.
You still keep CDs, so you’re able to watch Clueless with her on the television. She’s raptly watching the iconic chick flick, mimicking the main character with “As if!”s and laughing afterwards. But you’re more interested in her rather than the film itself. Wonyoung is the prettiest when she’s happy. The companies love her trendy poses when she shoots magazine covers or photos, but her most charming self is this:
Half-moon eyes, mouth stretched into a giggly grin, and her hand becoming the resting place of her cheek as she laughs over and over at the comedic timings of the movie. Her brown hair in its uncurled natural state resting at her shoulders, which are not trapped in one of the stage outfits anymore, but rather a big, gray sweatshirt that was once yours. You want it back, but she looks better in it than you do, so you speak nothing about it.
Wonyoung falls asleep just when Clueless is about to reach its conclusive end. With strong, trained arms, you carry her over to your shared bed and tuck her to bed. She stirs a little, but she doesn’t open her eyes. She only smiles, knowing you have her back now, and beckons you under the sheets.
Slide under the comforter and wrap a protective arm around her. Moments like these make you happily remember that Jang Wonyoung isn’t merely just an idol, but your girlfriend. Your little spoon. Your baby rabbit. At the same time, you match all her curved puzzle pieces, and act the role of being her partner, big spoon, and a caring person who won’t let any hunter find her.
You’re made for each other. And as you snuggle closer to Wonyoung, your puzzle pieces connect. You promise, silently, to never let go.

Gifts
Jang Wonyoung x F! Reader
Warnings: fluff
Word Count: 1.3k
A/n: 🎁🎀
。゚•┈୨★୧┈• 。゚
Those words, whispered by Jang Wonyoung, had become a familiar refrain throughout our three years together. Her voice, a soft echo in the recesses of my mind, reassured me that within the realm of her affluence, my desires were boundless. 'I'll buy you anything your heart desires, honey,' she’d say, her eyes alive with a promise that seemed to defy the constraints of reality. It wasn’t just about material possessions; it was the unwavering devotion wrapped within those words. Her affectionate offer echoed a sentiment deeper than the glossy sheen of credit cards and luxury stores. It was her way of saying, 'Let me wrap you in comfort and joy, let me spoil you with the limitless bounds of our love.' Over time, these words had woven themselves into the fabric of our relationship, a comforting melody that resonated with both the extravagance of her wealth and the tenderness of her heart.
At first, Jang Wonyoung's tendency to spoil me felt unsettling. I feared the gifts would overshadow the essence of what truly mattered between us. I craved her presence, not the opulence her wealth could afford. Yet, she sensed my discomfort, her perceptive gaze recognizing my unease. It was in that vulnerability that our connection deepened, her understanding of my heart forging an unbreakable bond between us.
Christmas, particularly the last two years, transformed into a spectacle of opulence. Each meticulously chosen gift she bestowed upon me left me speechless, caught in a whirlwind of gratitude and awe. But in the midst of this lavish exchange, I found myself grappling with a challenge – finding the perfect gift for Wonyoung. Her declaration that she lacked desires, owning the means to acquire whatever she pleased, made the hunt for a meaningful gift an uphill task. How do you find a present for someone who seemingly possesses everything?
In the quiet intimacy of our late-night rendezvous, Jang Wonyoung's whispered confessions floated through the air like delicate notes of a secret symphony. 'I want to marry you, I want to start a family with you,' her tender words, uttered in hushed tones, wove a tapestry of dreams in the silence of our shared moments. She believed I slumbered, unaware of her heartfelt declarations, yet each syllable nestled within my consciousness, igniting an effervescent symphony in my chest. Her whispered desires, spoken in the tender cloak of the night, painted a vivid picture of our shared future, each word a brushstroke adding hues of hope and longing to the canvas of our love.
The clandestine beauty of her aspirations stirred a whirlwind of emotions within me. Joy danced alongside uncertainty, the weight of her earnest desires embracing my heart like a comforting embrace. To know that she harbored such aspirations, to envision a life entwined with hers in both the quiet whispers of night and the vivid light of day, sent my heart on a galloping journey, chasing the thrill of a future painted in the colors of our intertwined destinies.
As the countdown to Christmas commenced, a tradition unique to our relationship unfurled—Wonyoung’s extraordinary '12 Days of Giving.' Each morning, a new surprise awaited me, meticulously curated treasures that reflected her keen attention to my desires. She had an uncanny ability to discern my preferences, the items I had merely glanced at or wistfully admired, and transformed them into tangible tokens of her affection.
With a discerning eye for detail, Wonyoung orchestrated her grand gestures through her adept assistant, swiftly turning my fleeting interests into lavish presents. The procession of gifts was nothing short of a spectacle: designer bags that had once lingered in the corners of my imagination, a gleaming car that mirrored my dream ride, exquisite jewelry that sparkled with her insight into my tastes, and then, a surreal climax—keys to a new house, a testament to her boundless generosity.
Each day brought forth a new manifestation of her devotion. The opulence wasn’t simply a display of her wealth; it was an artful expression of her understanding of my desires. From luxurious clothes that hugged my form to tickets granting passage to the azure beauty of Greece, the 12 days unfolded as a symphony of thoughtfulness and opulence, an extravaganza that dazzled not only with its grandeur but with the depth of affection woven into every carefully chosen gift.
As the sun rose on Christmas morning, the air was thick with anticipation and warmth. 'Open it, honey,' Wonyoung’s voice, soft and tender, carried a symphony of love as I cradled a small box in my hands, its contents an enigmatic delight. With trembling fingers, I untied the ribbon, and in a burst of joy, a lively puppy sprang out, his tail wagging in gleeful abandon. 'You didn’t, Wonyoung!' I gasped, my heart brimming with surprise and overwhelming delight. Her laughter, a melody that painted the room, filled the spaces between us. 'You’ve wanted one for a while, and I thought it was time to begin our little family,' she explained, her eyes sparkling with a tenderness that wrapped around my heart like a warm embrace.
'What should we name him?' she asked, and in that moment, amidst the excitement, a name echoed in my mind. '(You pick a name),' I suggested. '(Name),' Wonyoung echoed softly, her smile reflecting the shared joy in our newfound companion. As the puppy nestled between us, a ribbon caught Wonyoung’s eye, and to our astonishment, a glimmering diamond ring dangled from it. My breath hitched, my heart raced, and before I could fathom what was happening, Wonyoung knelt down, her eyes shimmering with emotions that mirrored my own.
Slipping the ring from the puppy’s collar, she held it out to me. Tears welled in my eyes, a rush of emotions cascading through my soul. 'Y/n, my love, you mean everything to me. You're my sunshine on the darkest days, and I want to spend every moment with you, creating a future filled with love and laughter. Will you marry me?' Her voice quivered with the weight of her emotions. 'Yes,' I whispered, my voice trembling as I extended my hand to her. Pulling me into her embrace, she tenderly placed the ring on my finger, sealing our love with a promise that echoed through our souls. Our lips met in a soft, tender kiss, a celebration of the moment that would forever mark this Christmas morning as the most cherished in our journey together.
As the warmth of our kiss lingered, I eased away, a soft smile gracing my lips. "I have a present for you too," I whispered, my voice quivering with excitement. Wonyoung's eyes shimmered with curiosity and affection. "But why, love? I have everything right here," she replied, her arms embracing me and our playful puppy. "This gift will make us even stronger, complete our story," I assured her, my gaze locked tenderly with hers, brimming with emotion.
"Alright, show me," she said eagerly, her excitement contagious. Handing her the small, delicately wrapped box, I felt a rush of anticipation tinged with nerves. My knees shook slightly, and Wonyoung, sensing my unease, reached out, her touch a soothing balm to my anxiousness. "Whatever it is, it's perfect because it's from you," she reassured me, her eyes radiating trust and boundless love.
The moment stretched, pregnant with anticipation, as Wonyoung carefully undid the ribbon and lifted the lid of the box. Her gasp echoed in the room, her eyes widening in disbelief. The box slipped from her trembling hands, clattering softly to the floor. Tears welled in my eyes, mirroring the emotion that glistened in hers. "We're going to be parents?" she breathed, her voice quivering with a mix of surprise and overwhelming joy. "Yes, my love, we are," I managed to say, my heart swelling with happiness.
Wonyoung enveloped me in a fierce embrace, her tears mingling with mine, dampening my shirt. "I was right, this is the most precious gift, especially because it’s from you. It’s perfect in every way," she whispered, her touch on my face an expression of pure love and gratitude. "Merry Christmas, Wony," I murmured softly. "Merry Christmas indeed," she replied, pulling me into another tender kiss, sealing the moment with a promise of an extraordinary future filled with boundless love and the joy of a growing family.

jang wonyoung x gn! reader now playing — doughnut by twice. about . 796 words, fluff + angst warnings . wonyo is kinda mean in the beginning but character development i promise!! sorta angst, lots of food mentions.
Tumblr media
wonyoung was, in a nutshell, really intimidating.
but in your defense, the rest of your class thought so too! i mean, intimidating would actually be an understatement for an experienced baker amongst beginner chefs in baking 101.
you know that wonyoung's history with baking started really young, with both her parents being established pastry chefs and owning a successful bakery (with great food actually, you visited with your friends a couple times). wonyoung herself had won several baking competitions; she was well on her way to following in her parents' footsteps.
being in this class was just a prerequisite for culinary school. and as a highly experienced baker in a class full of newbies, she stood out like a sore thumb.
it also really didn't help that she was the most beautiful girl you'd ever laid your eyes upon. her smooth hands kneading the dough, her long hair being puffed away as she concentrated on measurements, and the graceful smile when she took a successful first bite of her creation was that of an angel, and you were practically entering heaven every time you looked at her.
so when you both got paired together to prepare flan, you knew you were done for, cooking and wonyoung wise.
unlike the smoothness of flan, things started off rough. making flan was a strenuous and highly prone-to-error process, and wonyoung never failed to remind you of it as she scolded you for even the smallest of tasks.
a few extra grams of salt? FAIL. an extra drop of vanilla extract? FAIL. slightly imperfect mixing skills? FAIL.
the once admirable traits of hers had now turned into nightmares. and now, not only was she intimidating, but also unkind. it felt like you were seeing wonyoung do a complete 180, and you wished that you had never ended up as her partner.
however, her harsh remarks towards you pouring the mixture into a pan was the last straw. you stormed out of the class angrily, sliding down beside the door for a much-needed breather.
although, that breather didn't last very long, because not long after you heard the door open and the familiar sound of her footsteps reverberated in your ears.
she kneeled down in front of you, prying your hands away from your face. her face was filled with an emotion of sorrow and guilt, something you had thought was foreign to her.
"i'm really sorry y/n. i realize now how harsh i was being to you."
she explained how her parents had always forced her to be the best at baking, and the pressure of wanting to do well had really taken over her senses, especially in this class.
"i know this isn't an excuse for my behavior, but i just wanted to let you know that i've realized my mistakes. if you still choose to be my partner, i'll try my hardest not to be so mean to you."
as you outstretched an arm so she could help you up, an extended olive branch, you vowed to try your best to help her in the difficult situation she was in.
as time passed and you got more opportunities to grow closer to wonyoung, your view on her changed. instead of the despicable attitude she'd shown to you in the past, you now started to see kinder, more grateful perspective towards you and the rest of her classmates.
the once dormant feelings towards her started to grow with her change in personality, and suddenly she became the sweet, angelic girl you'd once admired dearly.
not wanting to wait any longer, you decided you would confess to her through baking, wanting to make a flan similar to the one that brought you two together in the first place.
however, it seemed you still hadn't mastered the art of crafting one, because when you pulled it out of the oven, the mushy scramble resembled anything but a flan.
to make matters worse, wonyoung decided to appear right at that moment to practice the assignment for next class, and the sight of you holding an unrecognizable mess was far more intriguing than the cupcakes she was set to bake.
"is that... flan?"
you swallowed your pride and confessed that it indeed was, and that it was supposed to be the perfect surprise for her to accept your feelings.
what you didn't expect was her laughter in return, and you watched curiously as she placed the failed-flan-tray aside and grabbed a new bowl from the rack.
"you didn't need a flan to confess to me, silly. i would've said i liked you back regardless of whether you baked something for me or not."
and you eyes sparkled as she helped you prepare a better flan afterward, baking fresh towards your future together.

STAY IN VEGAS ( OR IS IT? )⠀───⠀JANG WONYOUNG.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SYPNOSIS : wonyoung and yn entered into an impulsive six months marriage trial, but as times progressed, they realized this drunken marriage was not a mistake after all.
TAGS : wlw, fluff, continuation of what happens in vegas, strangers to lovers, just them falling in love, kinda rush ending.
NOTES : this was fun to write omg
Tumblr media
"I'm sorry, but according to the law, you two have to be married for at least six months before you can legally get divorced," the attorney explained, giving them an apologetic look.
"six months?" wonyoung exclaimed, her eyes wide. "but that's ridiculous! we got married drunk, for goodness sake. this was never meant to be a real, lasting marriage."
yn placed a comforting hand on wonyoung's arm. "hey, it's okay. we'll figure this out." she turned to the attorney. "is there any way we can expedite the process? maybe a week or a month?"
the attorney shook his head. "I'm afraid not. the six months waiting period is firmly in place. unless there are extenuating circumstances, you'll have to wait it out."
"this is such a waste of time," wonyoung grumbled as they sat in the stuffy office for their first meeting. exams were coming up and she was already overwhelmed with studying.
yn nodded in agreement, shifting uncomfortably. "I just want this to be over with."
their eyes met for a brief moment, and despite the tense situation, they couldn't help but share a small laugh at the absurdity of it all. the ice slowly started to break.
Tumblr media
over the next few weeks, wonyoung and yn tentatively began spending more time together, deciding to make the best of their forced proximity.
they went on casual "dates" - dinners, walks in the park, trips to the movies. at first it was stilted and awkward, but gradually they started to open up to each other.
one night, as exam season hit full swing, wonyoung was holed up in her apartment, surrounded by books and notes, stress levels at an all-time high. yn had been trying to call her, but wonyoung was too consumed with studying to answer.
concerned, yn decided to pay her a visit. when wonyoung opened the door, she looked utterly exhausted.
"yn? what are you doing here?" she asked, bewildered.
"I wanted to make sure you were okay," she said softly, stepping inside. she took in the cluttered apartment and wonyoung's frazzled appearance. "you look like you could use a break."
wonyoung sighed heavily. "I'm just so stressed with these exams, I can't think straight."
yn gently guided her to the couch. "then let me take care of you for a bit." she disappeared into the kitchen, and soon the aroma of fresh-baked cookies filled the air.
when she returned, she handed wonyoung a warm, gooey cookie. "eat up. you need to take a breather."
wonyoung took a bite, the delicious treat melting in her mouth. she felt some of the tension leave her body as yn sat beside her, rubbing her back soothingly.
"mmm, these are amazing," wonyoung said, moaning slightly in delight. "you know, having a wife isn't too bad after all."
yn raised an eyebrow, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "oh, so I'm your wife now, huh? I thought we were supposed to be getting a divorce."
wonyoung rolled her eyes, nudging yn's shoulder. "shut up, you know what I mean." she took another bite of the cookie, savoring the flavor. "but seriously, these are the best cookies I've ever had. where did you learn to bake like this?"
"secret," yn teased, winking at her. "maybe I'll have to teach you someday. make sure you keep that wife of yours happy, you know."
wonyoung couldn't help but laugh, the stress of her exams temporarily forgotten as she basked in yn's comforting presence. "deal."
Tumblr media
“I'm here." wonyoung sent the message to yn.
lately it has become a routine for wonyoung to 'pick up' yn at her workplace whenever the latter have free times.
as usual, its a busy night at the bar where yn worked, and she was bustling around, serving cocktails and chatting with the patrons. she was so focused on her work that she didn't even notice wonyoung slip in and take a seat at the end of the bar.
wonyoung watched yn with adoring eyes, taking in the way she moved with such confidence and grace behind the bar. she couldn't help but feel a surge of pride, knowing that this beautiful, talented woman was hers, even if it is only by paper.
as wonyoung was lost in her thoughts, she couldn't help but notice someone at the bar eyeing yn appreciatively.
wonyoung felt a flicker of possessiveness rise up inside her. she reached across the table and took yn's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"you look absolutely stunning tonight, you know that?" wonyoung said, her gaze locked on yn's.
yn flushed surprised by the compliment, a small smile tugging at her lips. "thank you, wony. you're looking pretty dashing yourself."
just then, the person from the bar approached their table, a flirtatious smile on their face.
"excuse me, I couldn't help but notice you from across the room. I was wondering if you might join me for a drink?" they said, eyes fixed on yn.
before yn could respond, wonyoung slid her arm around yn's waist and pulled her close.
"actually, she's with me," wonyoung said firmly, giving the person a pointed look.
the person's eyes widened in surprise, and they quickly backtracked. "oh, I-I'm so sorry, I didn't realize. please, excuse me."
they hurried back to the bar, leaving wonyoung and yn alone. yn turned to wonyoung, amusement dancing in her eyes.
"my, someone's feeling a little possessive tonight," she teased, giving wonyoung's hand a gentle squeeze.
wonyoung felt her cheeks heat up, but she didn't back down. "well, can you blame me? I don't want anyone else trying to flirt with my wife."
yn's eyes widened slightly at wonyoung's words, but she quickly recovered, a playful smile tugging at her lips. "wife, huh?"
wonyoung felt her cheeks flush at the implication, and she averted her gaze shyly. "w...well, technically, you're my wife. I mean, you know, we're...married by law." she cleared her throat awkwardly.
yn chuckled and leaned in closer to wonyoung. "is that so? and here I thought we were just friends" she winked, enjoying the flustered reaction she was getting from wonyoung.
wonyoung cleared her throat "anyway... ready to go home?"
"yeah, let's go wifey." yn teased the already flustered wonyoung.
Tumblr media
over the next few weeks, wonyoung and yn found themselves spending more and more time together. what had started as a casual arrangement had evolved into a deep, genuine connection.
just like today, they cuddled on the couch watching a movie, when wonyoung turned to yn.
"you know, I've been thinking..." she began tentatively.
yn brushed a stray lock of hair from wonyoung's face. "what is it?"
"well, our six months are almost up. we're supposed to get a divorce, remember?" wonyoung said, biting her lip.
yn's heart sank at the reminder. "oh, right. I'd almost forgotten about that."
wonyoung sighed heavily. "I don't know, yn. the thought of us getting a divorce...it doesn't sit right with me anymore."
"me neither," yn admitted softly. she gave wonyoung's hand a gentle squeeze. "I've grown so used to having you in my life. I don't want that to end."
wonyoung nodded, her eyes shining with emotion. "same here. you've become such an important part of my life. I don't think I'm ready to say goodbye to that."
they fell silent for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. then, wonyoung spoke up again, a playful glint in her eye.
"so, what do you say we just...not get a divorce?" she suggested, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips.
yn couldn't help but chuckle. "are you proposing we stay married, then?"
wonyoung nodded, snuggling closer to yn. "that's exactly what I'm proposing. what do you think, wife?"
yn wrapped her arms around wonyoung, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "well, in that case, I think I'd be a fool to say no, darling."
wonyoung beamed, her heart swelling with happiness. "good, because I don't plan on letting you go anytime soon."
