day6 held their first concert as a full team yesterday and sungjin the great or better known as god himself, crode... 😭 all joking aside, it's very obvious that sungjin was struggling for a couple years during day6's journey. he took some time off from the group, from being online, being in the public eye and gave himself room to heal, to recover, to come back stronger. he did that, and I think he came back to the group and to my days as someone that had a better grasp on himself and what he wanted out of his career. during the concert, amidst tears he talked about how hard it was for him to catch his breath because he was so nervous about being on stage again. he was scared that he couldn't sing. to the point that for the first time in his life he recorded himself singing the night before in case he couldn't stand on stage, but the moment he saw my days he felt like he could breathe again. although inevitable, it does make me sad to think he'd have to go through something like that, especially coming from someone who once said that singing was all he knew even before joining jype. sungjin has given everything to music, to his career, to day6. this concert, and all the following activities these boys will have as a team are a collection of their resilience, and mutual yearning to be as one again and they did it. this day would not have come to fruition if not for young k, dowoon, sungjin and wonpil keeping the name day6 so close to their heart and like they said... day6 is fucking BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!
