blue:Â what do you do when youâre sad? what are some things you do when you canât sleep? what was the best (non-romantic) night youâve had? what kind of covers do you have on your bed? who is the last person you told a secret to?
these days... i watch the nutcracker / immerse myself in festive stuff! in other times of year, i take time to read some poetry, watch lifestyle youtubers, have a cuddle with my bf or play with my dogs, etc. and i refresh the tracking page on my incoming mail to feel like there's something to look forward to lmao
when i can't sleep i often just read or listen to monotone educational videos/podcasts
probably the first xmas eve in this new house... it was really cosy and nice. or when i went to a piano concert by myself on the eve of my 20th birthday and sat front row !
i have a regular duvet - still only half thickness, as it's not that cold here yet - with an ikea cover (white with thin swirly florals in burgundy). when i get cold i have a minky blanket in aqua blue with a white damask pattern
i have few secrets so i can't really remember but realistically it was my bf, i tell him everything & he knows a lot more of what goes on in my brain & life than anyone else
send me a colour <3

Lorcan Salvaterre was a terrible gift-giver.
It wasnât something he would ever try to deny, nor that he was particularly ashamed of. It was simply a fact. He wasnât good at giving gifts.
The reason was likely that he didnât care enough to really put much thought into it. He did cherish his friends, and they knew that. So Lorcan had never seen the reasoning behind getting them fancy gifts anyway.
Not that any of his friends held his terrible skills against him. They accepted the packs of socks, gift cards to coffee places, and variety bags of chips without complaint. Lorcan normally did all his Christmas shopping in one day. Without leaving the drugstore.
No. It wasnât until last year that Lorcan had actually worried about his gift-giving abilities. Last year had been his first Christmas with his girlfriend, Elide. He already thought she was way too good for him, and she totally was, not that Elide would ever agree with him. Lorcan had wanted to give her something to reflect what an amazing woman she was and how much he had cared about her.
He had thought about what to get her for months, debating between jewelry and clothes and bags, all which he knew Elide did have a fine taste for. But, after much contemplation, he had gotten her tickets to see her favorite band in concert. Elide had loved it, and Lorcan loved the memories he got to make with her that night: seeing that wide smile on her face, watching her dance and sing and jump along to the beat of the drums, how she had kissed him through the night. It was the best gift he had ever given.
Now, this year, the second year he was spending with Elide, he was nervous for a different reason.
He had purchased her gift months ago, had known what he had wanted to get for her for even longer. He had spent the past few months hiding it and rehiding it, paranoid that his extremely smart, terribly observant girlfriend would find it somehow.
But tonight, Lorcan had the gift tucked safely away in his pocket. The little, velvet ring box felt so much heavier than it actually was.
He was going to propose tonight.
Lorcan had been hyping himself all day, pretending that everything was casual as he helped Elide prepare their apartment for the party they were hosting this evening. It was Christmas Eve, and their friends were all heading over for dinner and gift-giving.
Elide was in the kitchen, going around and lighting a few candles. She looked lovely tonight, dark hair loose and gleaming, a thick sweater hanging from her shoulders, nails painted a deep red.
Lorcan twisted the ring box between his fingers, hidden in his pocket. His heart was a pounding drum within his ears, practically drowning out the sounds of the cherry holiday music Elide had playing over the speakers. He knew their guests would be there any minute, but he couldnât wait any longer.
âElide, love?â he called as she finished lighting the last candle.
âYes?â she replied, striding towards him and kissing his cheek. âIs everything alright?â
âEverythingâs fine. Itâs just⊠you know how much you mean to me, right?â
Elideâs brows furrowed slightly, but her smile didnât falter. âOf course, Lor. Just as much as you mean to me.â
Lorcanâs heart clenched in his chest. He truly loved this woman.
âElideâŠâ he continued softly, reaching out and taking both of her hands within his own. âI love you more than anything Iâve ever loved in my life. You mean the absolute world to me. Thereâs nothing I wouldnât do for you.â
âNothing?â Elide said with a playful smile. âAnd if I asked for all the stars in the sky?â
âThen I would go up there myself and get them for you. As well as the moon, for good measure.â
She laughed. It was a beautiful sound.
âElide LochanâŠâ Lorcan whispered, releasing one of her hands and reaching into his pocket. âThereâs nothing Iâd rather do than spend the rest of my life with you⊠so, I have to ask-â
The question that rested on the tip of his tongue never got the chance to be uttered. The front door slammed open suddenly, Aelin Galathynius standing in the threshold, a bottle of wine in one hand, a neatly wrapped gift in the other, and an infuriatingly wide smile on her face, completely oblivious as to what she had just interrupted.
âMerry Christmas, motherfuckers!â she shouted, strolling into their apartment. Rowan was right behind her, Aedion, Lysandra, and Fenrys following.
Elide made to turn and greet their guests, but Lorcan held firmly to her hand.
âNo,â he said, grinding his jaw and shaking his head. âThis isnât going to wait and you-â he pointed to Aelin, âcan shut the fuck up for two minutes.â
In true Aelin fashion, her eyes darkened dangerously and it appeared as if she was going to start arguing. Or cursing. But, Rowan, who knew Lorcan best, placed a steadying hand on her arm. They had one of their stupid no words needed conversations, and Lorcan saw Aelin relent. That was all he needed to see before he grabbed the box in his pocket and dropped to one knee.
He ignored the gasps from their guests, only having eyes for the woman in front of him. Elideâs dark eyes grew wide, hand covering her mouth in surprise. Lorcan had never felt more vulnerable, more nervous, than he had in that moment.
âElide, I love you. I want to spend every day of the rest of my life with you⊠if youâll have me.â He swallowed hard once before sucking down one more bracing breath. âElide⊠will you marry me?â
It was then that he saw the tears begin to well in Elideâs eyes. Her hands shook slightly as she lowered them from her face, revealing a wide smile. She nodded wordlessly once before she spoke.
âYes,â she rasped, voice quivering with emotion. âYes, of course Iâll marry you, Lorcan.â
She held out her left hand towards him, and Lorcan didnât hesitate before sliding the ring into place. He rose to his feet, taking Elideâs face between his palms and kissing her soundly. Their friends cheered and congratulated them, and although Lorcan didnât want to truly stop kissing Elide, he'd rather do it when they didnât have an audience. So, they eventually parted. Their friends came around them with hugs and congratulations, the girls wanting to see Elideâs ring and the men patting Lorcan on the back.
The rest of the evening was wonderful. They ate and drank and laughed, everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves. They moved to the livingroom to do the Secret Santa exchange, Elide sitting snug at Lorcanâs side. When it was his turn to give his gift, he reached into the drawer by the couch and pulled out the unwrapped stick of Old Spice deodorant, tossing it to Aedion, who actually seemed to enjoy the scent.
Eventually, the evening ended and their guests left with rosy cheeks and sleepy smiles. They all wished each other a merry Christmas one more time before they departed, leaving Elide and Lorcan alone once more. His girlfriend, or rather, fiancĂ©, didnât wait long before draping her arms over his shoulders and pressing herself firmly against him.
âDo you like your gift?â Lorcan asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. âIt took me months to pick out the ring.â
Elide lifted her finger, examining the diamond. âThe ring is beautiful, yes, and I love it but⊠the ring isnât the gift. The gift is getting to spend the rest of my life with you. As your wife.â
Lorcan didnât think it was possible to love her anymore but in that moment, he fell a little deeper. He kissed her again, slowly, sweetly, holding her close. He parted, only to tuck her closer to his chest, pressing his lips against the top of her head before whispering into her hair, âI canât wait to spend the rest of my life with you.â

Secret-Diaryâs Annual Awards Show, 2018
Here we are. Xmas is over for another year and the last dregs of 2018 are circling the plug-hole of time like inedible week-old gravy. Soon, the drain-unblocker that is New Year will be emptied on top of it, disposing of it forever⊠and nobody will be very sorry. Itâs always possible that, in the last four days of the year, something incredible will happen. Maybe Will Self will invent time travel and go back to the early 1600s to become Shakespeare. Maybe Theresa Mayâs face will swing outward like a poorly-secured cupboard door and reveal an electric aquarium where a panel of Sea Monkeys control all her movements and decisions. Barring both of those two events, however, I think its safe to say that 2018 was a complete write-off.
Mainly, this year has felt like an unnecessary and unwanted continuation of 2017. 2017: Part Two, if you like. Brexit continued to drag on like a wounded moose looking for a place to die. The idiotic decision to cast Whittaker as Doctor Who, made in 2017, was enacted here in 2018, causing waves of uncontainable ennui to sweep a nation. The Space Elevator still remains resolutely unbuilt and Elon Musk (mankindâs Token Sensible Person) doesnât seem overly inclined to do anything about that just yet. In short, weâre standing at the far edge of a year that has been, by and large, a complete and total waste of everyoneâs time⊠especially mine. Iâd normally leave my End Of Year Awards for New Yearâs Eve or New Yearâs Day, but fuck it. Almost everything else this year has been  vaguely disappointing, so letâs stick to the theme. Weâll ejaculate these awards out early and get it over with. You all know how this works by now: I make up some tenuously-related categories and proclaim a cultural event or piece of media the winner according to the dictates of my own diseased logic and the voices in my head. Letâs just crack on.
THE AWARD FOR BEST DVD OR BLU-RAY RELEASE Normally, I try to make the category names funny, but the best DVD/Blu-Ray released in 2018 was the remastered Hitchhikerâs Guide to the Galaxy Boxset. Somebody cleaned up a six-episode sci-fi show from the 1980s and stuck a bunch of special features on it and it was instantly better than anything actually produced in the present day. Thatâs funny enough in itself, assuming you find cultural atrophy funny.
THE INSTANTLY-REGRETTED WANK AWARD FOR BEST MOVIE STARRING A SEXY FISH MAN ⊠Goes to The Shape of Water, which may actually have come out last year. I also really enjoyed Aquaman, too, but I canât pretend it was a superior piece of film-making. You know what, though? The fact that there are two movies about sexy fish men having non-conformist adventures says something important. It says âOUR CG ANIMATORS HAVE FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO DO WATER, SO LET THE GOOD TIMES FUCKING ROLL!â
THE BERNIE MADOFF AWARD FOR MOST SUSPICIOUS DISCREPANCY ⊠Goes to Doctor Whoâs score on Rotten Tomatoes. Yeah, you knew you werenât getting through this drivel without having to listen to my opinions on Doctor Who again, so letâs just get it out the way early. Critics gave the most recent series of Whittaker-flavoured Who a 94% rating. Fans gave it 31%. So people who canât risk saying something culturally unacceptable because they could be fired loved it, while people who cared enough to review it unpaid and had no consequences to fear fucking loathed it. Letâs try not to blame Whittaker, for this though. Itâs actually Chibnallâs fault, with his determination to minimise the sci-fi elements in the worldâs most beloved sci-fi show. And the BBCâs fault for hiring Chibnall. And all our faults for not dragging every single BBC exec into the streets and whipping them to death years ago. Jodie Whittaker casting was a point-scoring ploy on behalf of a cynical organisation desperately trying and failing to be progressive, but never forget that itâs just the tip of an iceberg made of frozen penguin shit.
THE SPECIAL AWARD FOR RUINING AN ENTIRE NATION ⊠Goes to Donald Trump, who is a fucking arsehole of truly unprecedented proportions. At the time of writing, heâs currently throwing a massive temper tantrum and has shut down entire branches of government just because the real politicians wonât give him the money he needs to build his preposterous, unworkable and illegal border-wall. Thanks to this one pathetic toolâs incalculably large ego, America is currently in a state of abject chaos.
THE AWARD FOR MOST NEEDLESSLY HARROWING TV SHOW Did you see The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix? If not, congratulations: you might need slightly fewer anti-depressants than people who did. A spooky romp through the lives of people who used to live in a haunted house turns into an uninterrupted misery binge when it starts digging into their feelings. One of them is a drug addict, one of them is depressed in a dangerous and unstable way, one of them has issues with intimacy, one of them is a writer reliving his own miserable past for a living and one of them is a straight-up, 24 carat arsehole. Oh, and they all sort-of hate their beleaguered father for not saving their mother (who was mad as a tin of pigeons) from Death By Ghost. Thanks, Netflix. 2018 wasnât a deep enough well of despair already.
THE AWARD FOR MOST UNDERAPPRECIATED HUMAN BEING ⊠Goes to Jeremy Corbyn, who spent his Xmas dispensing broth and socialist good-vibes in a soup-kitchen. Heâs constantly attacked and ridiculed in the media⊠possibly because the British media isnât used to dealing with high-ranking politicians who arenât psychopaths. Also, he once accidentally high-fived Dianne Abbott's tit, thereby gifting the world the most entertaining five seconds of television in history.
THE NAKED BRIAN COX AWARD FOR MOST BEAUTIFUL THING EVER ⊠Goes to Sapphire and Steel, a TV from the 70s that I recently rediscovered. Trying to explain it in normal English will undoubtedly make me sound like a man whose brain is slowly eating itself, because it defies all ordinary conceptions. Nevertheless, Iâll try. Itâs about two elements from the period table who are also people from a higher dimension who handle anomalies in space-time using methods that make perfect sense but arenât necessarily clear to the audience. This prevents entities that often manifest as patches of light or shadow from breaking into time from outside and stealing people or feeding off the resentment of the dead. Make sense? Well, it will when you watch it, and you absolutely should watch it.
THE NAKED STEVE BUSCEMI AWARD FOR MOST EYE-GOUGINGLY HORRIBLE THING EVER This is actually a tie between that time Theresa May attempted to dance and⊠pretty much the entire year itself. If 2017 was like watching a man fall off a cliff, 2018 has been like watching him hit every outcropping of rock as he plunged downwards towards a merciless ocean.
THE AWARD FOR MOST SLATHERING BETRAYAL OF A FAN-BASE ⊠Goes to Fallout 76, which, by all accounts, turned the bleak, lonely world of Fallout into a perfunctory MMO with all the beloved seriesâ characteristic and recognisable features sucked out or watered down. A great game series screwed over in the name of chasing casual gamers. Oh, when will the industry learn. Never. The answer is never.
THE SHATNER AWARD MOST DRAMATIC OVERREACTION TO AN UNDERWHELMING SITUATION ⊠Goes to the UK tabloid ânewsâ papers, who went into swivel-eyed paroxysms of outrage and confusion when a handful of drones brought air traffic to a halt at Gatwick Airport almost a week before Xmas. They squealed angrily about how âpossible terrorismâ and how Xmas had been ruined for thousands of people (despite the fact that they were perfectly entitled to just get on other flights a day or two later). It later turned out that there hadnât necessarily been any drones, and that air traffic had been brought to a standstill because the police got confused and mistakenly thought that there were.
And thatâs more or less it. Lots of other things happened in 2018, but I never made any concerted effort to remember them, beyond noting that they were all pretty bloody stupid. Roll on 2019. I have no reason to believe it will be any better than 2018, globally speaking, but maybe Iâll finally buy a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 and stop caring.

âââweeklyâââ media consumption roundup
listening: so I donât listen to much Christmas music, however thereâs this one piece thatâs like. variations Come O Come Emmanuel that absolutely fucking slaps. we played it in concert band freshman year of high school and it kind of blew my mind (and also was the first time 6/8 time made sense to me lol). thereâs not really any especially great recordings of it on youtube but there are a couple of better ones on sp*tify (the one I linked is fine in terms of the playing but itâs so quiet even on full volume)
youtube
for the record: my official Christmas playlist is that, Sleigh Ride but only the instrumental arrangement for similar high school band nostalgia reasons and also because it slaps, Bachâs Brandenburg Concertos because before they had kids my parents used to go to a Bach festival that happened right around Christmas so thatâs what we listened to when we decorated the tree and baked cookies (no link because there are like. a million recordings out there and I canât find the one online that matches the CD that my parents have), Vienna Tengâs The Atheist Christmas Carol (which absolutely knocked me the fuck out this year, as it does every year, but something about hearing the line âitâs the season of possible miracle curesâ on xmas eve 2020 when youâre waiting for the results of your covid test is. a lot), Froggy Freshâs Christmas song (itâs a bit, Iâm sorry, sometimes you just canât let your college friend group memes go), and Straight No Chaserâs 12 Days of Christmas
reading: so that delightful piece of writing about the snake fight portion of your thesis defense (FAQ: The Snake Fight Portion of Your Thesis Defense by Luke Burns) was a yuletide fandom on Ao3 this year apparently which led to this fic (link contains pictures of snakes), which is one of the funniest things Iâve ever read. itâs formatted like academic emails and itâs just. extremely real. love to lovingly make fun of academia
watching: finally something different to go here. spent part of christmas day and then most of new yearâs day marathoning Hilda with my roommates and itâs very cute and very fun and very good. it is very much a childrenâs cartoon abt the power of friendship, but also there are lots of fun magical creatures and surprisingly strong political themes abt like, environmentalism and treating people with respect and not listening to cops. also there are ghost pirates, and witches, and a goth librarian lady, and an amoral lady scientist. also the main character has a pet thatâs like. a combination of a deer and a fox and itâs incredibly cute
playing: Knife of Dunwall finally. this time around I didnât get stuck and give up before even getting to the main part of the first mission, which happened last time because I got so frustrated by how shitty Daudâs version of darkvision is. have lots of Thoughts and Feelings and Opinions about the labor politics of this mission, since the premise is that the slaughterhouse workers are striking, and thereâs a bunch of ambient announcements about how any sort of organizing for essential workers, sorry, âindustries deemed vital to state interests,â is punishable by death. love to see it.
kinda donât love how the main agitator is actually a plant for a rival factory, but she does talk abt how the workers are treated better where she works so there is that. I do think itâs funny how Iâve been playing this mission low chaos, deliberately not killing anyone, and then she gives me the option to blow up the factory in exchange for the information I need, instead of torturing it out of the factory owner, and I immediately went. oh hell yeah letâs do that
I might not end up actually going through with it because itâs real hard to get to all of the valves I have to sabotage without being spotted so. maybe Iâll torture the factory owner anyway. I just think itâs interesting how the priorities of like, the city itself as represented by the chaos meter favor torture over property destruction (yes I know probably people would die in the explosion but still. Abigale does make a point of saying that all of the workers are outside because theyâre striking, so itâs just the guards and the scabs I mean butchers)
making: this is not the best or most photogenic mince pie and I didnât even really make most of it if weâre being technical since I used a pre-made crust and a jar of mincemeat and I do not know why the powdered sugar on top looks so weird but. whatever. it was tasty. merry christmas to me personally, since Iâm sad that you canât just like, buy mince pies in the grocery stores here. also none of my roommates like it apparently which means I got to eat most of it myself, which is a rare treat since the leftovers of things I made that I like hardly ever stick around long enough for me to get any but thatâs a whole other tangent
writing: has been a struggle recently. however I did finish and post this fic that I started a few months ago for a Persona rarepair event. it has very little to do with any of the events of the game and much more to do with the inherent homoeroticism of tending someoneâs wounds, and also trying to survive under capitalism and wanting to do something to make the world better when youâre just so tired. please look at this testimonial, one of the best comments Iâve ever gotten on anything, I do love both themes and women

đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ I have had a lot of rum today and will totally star for star with you....of course I will probably be sober by the time you get to this... MORNING RUM IT IS!!!!
48 STARS?  SERIOUSLY DO YOU WANT MY LIFE STORY? CAUSE YOUâRE ABOUT TO GET IT.
1. my first pet was a rabbit named Carmel
2. my first cat was a yellow tabby named Orlith (Moretaâs queen dragon in the Dragonriders of Pern books)
3. my other two cats have been named Wolf and Lynx. Wolf is my old lady cat, 18 years old. Lynx I had to rehome when I moved a few years ago. Orlith died years ago, the poor thing.
4. I learned how to hunt because I live in an area that is THE THING and also animals are tasty. I spent hours tracking a damn pheasant on my first hunt but because of my shitty eyesight/lack of depth perception, couldnât see it, so my dad shot it. He still credited me with the kill since I tracked it.
5. I like to go fishing, if by fishing you mean âsit on the boat and read a book because its pretty on the waterâ
6. I like spreadsheets a little too much. Google Sheets means I can have them EVERYWHERE.
7. I love to sing, and its the one thing Iâm actually a bit arrogant about. At least, I feel like its arrogance. Maybe its just being truthful? I have a really good voice. I trained it for a lot of years. itâs one of the few things I can do that almost always lifts my mood.
8. I hadnât seen any live concerts in ages, and then in 2016 I saw Final Fantasy A New World and the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses
9. I have next to no confidence in anything outside my singing and it still boggles my mind that people like my writing. this isnât me fishing for compliments, Iâm honestly astounded. I read other peopleâs stuff and Iâm blown away that those same people like mine, when theirs is just so fucking amazing.
10. sometimes I go anywhere between a day or a week without contacting anybody just to see if anyone bothers to talk to me if I donât reach out first. the results usually make me more sad than before I tried. and make me question most my âfriendshipsâ.
11. Iâve been single for two years and I kinda hate it, but donât expect it to change anytime soon. part of the reason is iâm picky AF. most of the reason is I have little to no social life.
12. Iâm pagan and I am deeply spiritual but I generally donât discuss it at all if Iâm not asked by a close friend, because to me spirituality and religion is DEEPLY personal
13. I have never slept with a woman who hasnât decided afterwards that sheâs straight. this is probably why Iâve dated so few women. while logically I know thereâs no correlation between my performance and their declarations (especially as my more recent ex-gf is dating another woman now), its still a pretty big ego blow.
14. Sorry I just answering this to sing for like 10 minutes.  Currently trying to type while singing âMissingâ by Evanescence. ANGST ANGST ANGST ANGST!
15. i hate going to movies alone and will actively buy people tickets just so I donât have to
16. I hate cooking for just me when my son isnât home, so instead I tend to batch cook and freeze a bunch to enable lazy dinners down the road
17. Iâm a really good cook :D
18. Tomorrow I play D&D! I play once a month with a small group of family and friends. This is the third group Iâve had for the same campaign and I donât think Iâll ever see the end at this rate, haha.
19. I also play WoW. In WoW, I play Xylianna, the Paladin. In D&D I play a Fighter. I like swords okay?
20. work sucked this week but I have rum now :D
21. I had cancer when I was 17.  In 2 months will be my 18th anniversary of being cancer free. I celebrate that more than my birthday, or my wedding anniversary before I was divorced. Nothing gets you to pare the bullshit out of your life faster than getting that diagnosis, let me tell you.
22. HOW THE FUCK AM I ONLY ON NUMBER 22 WHAT DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME *gets a third drink*
23. In my local kink community, my âscene nameâ is one of my first OTPâs.
24. If 23 didnât warn you, Iâm going to talk about BDSM now. Iâm a switch insofar as Iâll top without any real hint of dominance since I LOATHE the responsibility of being a dom. Iggy in Discretion/What Would Happen is totally based off me, because I vastly prefer to give over control since my entire fucking life is me running everything. I run my dept at work, I run my house, I run my gaming group, I run my karaoke group. Sometimes I just need a break okay?
25. also gimme dat pain
26. and Iâll give you some, too, because I enjoy service topping
27. Consent is Sexy, okay?  I go out of my way to portray consent being constantly re-established in my bdsm fics particularly, because its never okay to assume that just because I was allowed to do X last week, its okay to do X this week. I mean obviously in an established relationship, it would be different, but even then CONSENT AND COMMUNCATION, SO FUCKING SEXY
28. I wish I could play a string instrument. I bought a guitar and tried to learn it but it turns out I am not good at teaching myself something so different from what I already know, haha. Chords are confusing to me for some reason. Or I made them more confusing than they had to be.
29. I am embarrassed to admit how many years its been since I picked up one of my clarinets. I wish I could find a local ensemble to join, but, that would mean reaching out and asking and aahhhhhh *hides*
30. I would also totally lose my shit if I could find a choral group to join that wasnât attached to a Christian church. no offense at all to christian churches, but I feel a bit dishonest joining a group connected to a faith I donât share, you know?
31. when I go to xmas eve church with my mom at her church, my brother-in-lawâs mother does indeed make me join choir for that night, and its great!
32. iâm intensely lonely most of the time but I pretend iâm not because indulging in the feeling wonât change anything. and tbh part of it is my fault for isolating myself.
33. I have chronic severe depressive disorder coupled with a side of anxiety. So I feel like shit, and I worry about it, LOL
34. Prior to November 2017 NaNoWriMo, I hadnât written in over 10 years, save for a couple 300ish word short stories.
35. part of me is terrified certain family members will find my AO3/Tumblr. I actually talked to my psychologist about this fear at my last appointment. We agreed that if they go to so much trouble as to find my internet alter ego, they deserve to be offended by my work. Fuck âem.
36. just once I wish I could feel the support I give my family given to me. I have one supportive family member and its not even blood. my brother-in-law is my best friend, for real. my Warder (if you follow WoT), bonded in balefire. I wish the rest of my family would care about me, but Iâm working on accepting they just wonât.
37. I love learning languages for the same reason I love studying music, and I love writing - my goal is to communicate as effectively as possible, make people really understand, and the more avenues open to me the better
38. when I get a little drunk, I forget English and speak a mashup of Spanish, German, and Japanese
39. I have to go to karaoke tomorrow night for the first time since I was sexually harassed at karaoke last October, and Iâm kinda terrified
40. I get very down on myself when I realize in my writing I do no world building and very little serious plotting. I basically write angst, or love, or smut. Iâm trying to be okay with that, but I admit I feel like I donât do a good enough job.
41. wow way to kill the mood, Xy.  honestly, if anyone is still reading this, you get a fucking medal. iâm not that interesting, and I probably should have stopped writing this long ago.
42. I really wish life would give me a fucking break, you know? but thatâs not how it works. you gotta make your own breaks, and Iâm too gods-damned tired to try at present. Maybe Iâll try later this year.
43. I wish I lived alone. Ironic, since Iâm lonely 99% of the time. But having a roommate isnât the same as having companionship and sometimes I just want to not listen to someone elseâs blaring TV or have someone else walk thru the house while Iâm writing at the table or have someone comment on my singing (even if its complimentary)
44. WOW I GOT DEPRESSED LETS LIGHTEN THINGS UP SHALL WE? I love apple scented shit.
45. I own at least 10 pairs of kitty ears, and two tails. In fact I am wearing ears to karaoke tomorrow. Meow.
46. I want the relationship I write for Gladnis in my Discretion series BUT IâM NOT HOLDING MY BREATH FAM
47. my son is 8 yrs old and heâs honestly the best thing iâve done with my life, and he is the thing I am most proud of, even topping my joy in beating cancer
48. in 2016 I lost 120 pounds. in 2017 i gained 30 back. in 2018⊠weâll see.
HOLY FUCK THAT WAS HARD I DESERVE MORE RUM NOW OKAY

Yearâs End and New Beginnings
Fandom: Uta no Prince-Sama Rating:  G A/N:  This is the final fic for the end of the year/beginning of 2018 and its been a pleasure writing again for this fandom and I hope you are ready for the next year so w/o further adoâŠletâs begin! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- âAnd with that Ladies and Gents its time for us to say goodbye and good night for a little while.  It was fun to be here to celebrate the new year with you all BUT I must go away for now so I will see youâŠâ But Joshua stopped himself when he noticed that the crowd that was in the sold out Tokyo Dome stood as one and Joshua was wondering what in the world was going on! He wouldnât have long to wait to find outâŠ. Letâs begin the road to New Yearâs Day in the DomeâŠand the shocking surprise that came at the end of his concert ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ December 26th It was 2 days after the Christmas Eve Concert and all through the house Not a HEAVENS  member was stirring Not even Nagi (Okay that didnât rhyme but letâs go with it)         It was a few days removed from the Christmas Eve concert that Joshua had put on and the âMusical Lunaticâ of âRaging Entertainmentâ was back at it rehearsing and practicing his songs for the upcoming concert that he was performing in about 5 days time in the Tokyo Dome to finish off one of the busiest times of the year for him EVER!         First it all started back early December when Shining recruited him for a show in Fujioka which was something that he hadnât expected.  While The area was becoming his home for his Summer shows he was a bit surprised to be able to do the show in this city while also working with Tokiya for the first time.  The fact that he got to do that was an honor and despite all of their problems that they might have had in the past the two worked them out and put on a performance that not many could have seen comingâŠor the surprise at the end of the show!         When Joshua saw STARISH with QUARTET NIGHT and HEAVENS to do an update to âShining Star Xmasâ it was far and away one of his greatest gifts ever and it was something that he couldnât have expected and that alone would have made a grand December but then of course he remembered his first voyage to America and AT&T Stadium when Himura and Seiichirou pulled a rabbit out and HEAVENS appeared again to help out a friend and colleague as it was believed that Joshua was in some kind of distress!  Whilst Joshua wouldnât admit it himself Himura knew and got Raging to allow HEAVENS to appear at the concert which was something they wanted to do for their friend. But of course now we talk about today and it was getting even crazier!         Because of the unusual schedule Joshua had just under 5 days before his first ever New Yearâs Eve concert in the dome.  It was a decision that HAD been planned in advance and Joshua knew well about it but because of the extra shows he had just under 3 days worth of practice to get things right and ready for his big day and he KNEW this time that HEAVENS was going to be in attendance in some form.  He hoped in some ways that they would be able to do a song or two because he didnât know how long his song list was going to be for this show because of the short time to prepare it proper. But HEAVENS knew⊠        Turns out that during the time that Joshua was away in America the group went through and selected the songs they thought would be interesting for their â8th Angelâ (as Eiichi now calls him whenever he appears with them) to perform and interestingly enough they went the route of picking out some songs for him that took him back to his roots for when it came to music from the 1980s.  When Joshua was given the list by Himura a big smile came across his face because there were some great classics from his childhood in thereâŠnot the least of which were at least two songs from a Prog Rock group called GENESIS and when Joshua saw one of the songs he really lit up because it was an unusually powerful song for him but how would he perform it if he was going to be solo? I THINKâŠwe all knew!         Joshua spent the majority of the day working on the songs leading up to the âFinale songsâ.  He wanted to leave them for last because of a few reasons and not the least of which would be âHow can he try those songs out without the proper backing?â but nonethelessâŠJoshua soldiered on and made a grand day out of it and Himura was always amazed at the energy he put in even if he knew he needed to pace himself.  Yes this WAS a sprint but that didnât mean he could just go 110% because of the fact that he was concerned he would wear out before the concertâŠand Himura knew in the back of his mind that HEAVENS was concerned too!         When Joshua got home that night from the rehearsal everyone was asleep. Joshua didnât bother staying up late and hit the sack hard himself because he knew in the back of his head those extra songs on the list were looming and he needed to work on them SOON! December 28th         Another day and another practice but this one was unusually shortâŠI say unusually because you see Himura watched Joshua practice the âBonus Songsâ on his list non-stop the day before and he knew that was going to be his focus today also.  The thing was that Himura didnât want him to âreally get itâ before the big show because there was an âIngredient to this stewâ that needed to be added for it to be PERFECT! This, as you would expect, puzzled Joshua but then again when it came to his friend there was a lot of mystery to him and any possible connections to HEAVENS that he never asked about.         See Joshua had kind of figured out at this point that Himura was working with Raging and HEAVENS after hearing about some matters that hadnât gone their way in the past.  Himura asked the President of his company for permission to work with Raging and his group to ensure that they could start to reach the level that Tokiya did as HAYATOâŠjust without the double identities.  The President agreed to it as long as Raging didnât pull any funny business within his company and The elder Ootori made his promise (and kept it) that he wouldnât meddle with the man that was allowing his boys the exposure they deserved.         When it was publicly announced that these two leaders of the music industry were working together initially Shining wanted to find a way to stop them but there were things that prevented this.         The first was that Tokiya was a part of STARISH and after graduating Shiningâs Academy while also leaving his former life as HAYATO behind he knew he still respected the Agency for which he originally worked at.  He also knew that Joshua learned of his âtwinâ and that if Joshua EVER needed THAT again he would do everything he could to make sure HAYATO was ready to appear to help his friend. The second one was ALSO kind of tied to Tokiya         Both men remembered the Duet Project and when Tokiya and Eiji started it.  Joshua had heard about the âadvancesâ that Raging made and personally apologized for those on his behalf but Tokiya ultimately forgave.  He explained to Joshua that âGiven what Shining was trying to do to you in the past it only seems fair that Raging seek revenge and he would do it through him.â and whilst Joshua still understood this he still felt that he had to properly apologize between that and what happened with Otoya. THAT was unforgivable but Eiichi had told him personally that he was sorry for what happened and he would endeavor for it to NEVER happen again.  Tokiya believed this because after hearing about what happened at the Agency with the father and son he was legitimately disgusted but didnât know what course of action to take.  Joshua told him that if it came down to it that he would officially defect to Shining full-time and find a way to bring HEAVENS with him no matter the cost! Now Tokiya seems to be an integral part in all of thisâŠwhy? RESPECT         Tokiya respected Joshua even when he was âjust a radio DJâ. There are many untold stories about times when Joshua worked in America and even his early stint at Japanese stations that they had occasional interviews together but the ones that became the most âfamousâ of the STARISH members were the ones with Ren and Masa. It wasnât that Joshua hated interviewing TokiyaâŠfar from it but the reality was that for some reason the interviews that always did the best numbers for the station would be the ones with the âSTARISH Brothersâ which was why they were booked more often than Tokiya.         Did this annoy Shining?  Hard to say because he never made a public statement about it one way or the other but one thing that shocked everyone was that back in the day when he first had HEAVENS on as a trio long before the UtaPri awards.  The fact that Raging could get the group on Joshuaâs show did lead some to think it was a âbiasâ but at that time Joshua had never heard of the group so that complaint was thrown out immediately.         There WAS a famous interview a day before the awards when they (HEAVENS) made an offer for Joshua to join their Agency but at that time wanted to stay neutralâŠthis didnât last long because he was eventually brought in to work with QUARTET NIGHT at Saotomeâs and then eventually work with Camus as a PA. Now WHY did I go over all of that at this time? WELL!         Everything I just mentioned has to do with why Tokiya prevented Shining from interfering with Joshuaâs work.  Despite the fact that he might think that Joshua would ALSO be better suited working at Shiningâs Agency he wanted Joshua to work in an environment that he felt could be more of a âFamilyâ for him and he felt that they were the best place and Tokiya wanted his friend to be happy first and foremost so there is no issue there!         One thing that DID weight on the young manâs mind was how Joshua was doing getting ready for the big show in 3 daysâŠthen againâŠEVERYONE was wondering that! December 30th Tâwas  the last day before the show And all through the agency Last minute prep was being done And there was a sense of urgency A/N:  I suck at these I knowâŠleave me alone         It was the day before the big show and usually by now Joshua had done two run throughs of the show and the gate checks.  He had to at least do that to make sure that everything was going to be kosher for his big show and the gates passed with flying coloursâŠworst case was the concert was being pushed back a day if there was a malfunction but with the wrestling show 3 days after New Yearâs that would be asking a lot of the audience so they HAD to get it right on the first shot and fortunately for them they didâŠalthough the tech DID say that if there was a problem he would have stayed overnight to fix it because of how important things were for the showâŠthankfully that didnât happen!         As the crew worked on the gates and the set Joshua went and watched the sound check for the show.  He found out through a member of his team that they had done at least 3 in the building before Joshua came and they were going to do one more before show time at 9 PM. The concert was originally slated to go on at 6 PM but they got special permission to run this show from 9 to at least Midnight and 1 AM if need be.  It was going to be a grand event and as Joshua double and triple checked his setlist he noted the songs that appeared on there that he had practiced with the backing tracks at the studio and everything went accordingly but he wasnât told who would be performing the live set with him for those songsâŠhe did notice one extra but he knew he could nail that one with his eyes closed so that was no big deal.         Joshua stayed at the building extra late and went over how his entrance was supposed to go for the first entrance and then his intermission because he WAS being granted one.  Typically for him if he knows they are in a time crunch he would forego the typical break he got but everything was set up so he could get one as need be.         When Joshua got home he went straight to his room as it was past 10 PM and crashed hardâŠalone as it turned out that HEAVENS wasnât there again and this was getting familiar for the âAngelâ as he knew they had SOMETHING up their sleeve! And this brings us to December 31stâŠthe big show at the end of the year! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show Day         It was early afternoon and everyone was filing in to the Tokyo Dome with a song in their heart and the joy to be there for the final show of 2017 and as Joshua was getting prepped and loosened up Himura came in to greet him before show time.         âAfternoon Curtis-san.  You seem ready and eager for tonightâs big show.  Its only been a few days since you came back from America but your spunk and desire to put on a good show for your audience always seems to carry through.  How do you do it friend?â Himura asked and his friend/client stopped what he was doing and smiled before answering his friend and manager         âAhh that is a very good question and its one a lot of people have asked.  âJoshuaâŠhow do you do this even on a semi-occasional basis?  Joshua donât you think about the fact that you might be getting held back by being a manager?â and I have to tell them each and every time that I love what I do.  HEAVENS is my priority yes and I look forward to working with them each and every time out of the block but donât let that make you think that the fire and passion that I have when it comes to walking out a dressing room and performing no matter how BIG or small the venue my passion and desire comes from the people in the arenas all over the country and all over the world.  I come to that stage each and every time with the desire to make damn sure that the next show I put on does what it needs to do and that is entertain ALL of the assembled be they here OR the ones that get to see this on a stream or DVD.  Iâm not in this for the money but I am in this for the love and the passion that is brought to us and Mr. Cameraman donât be afraid to walk in here cos lookâŠIâm a little hype right nowâŠitâs the end of the year for me but I promise you that tonight I will leave EVERYTHING out there because that is what these end of the year shows do for someone like meâŠthen come Valentineâs Day and Motherâs Day we do it all over again!â Joshua told both Himura and the cameraman and they were just as pumped after the talk. And then âShow Timeâ came! 9 PM and Joshua powerwalked his way to his entranceway and as he did he had one thing to tell the audience         âTonight Ladies and Gents, Boys and Girls and childrenâŠof all ages! You have been cordially invited to seeing a show unlike any other because if there is one thing I do around here its throw a party for my friends and fans alike so to all of you letâs go and tear this house down ONE MORE TIME!â And with that Joshua took a dead sprint to the elevator down the ramp as the show beganâŠwhile the show was going on though those extra songs WERE in the back of his mind but they didnât affect his performance as he worked the crowd before the first intermission and when he went back the crowd started chanting something that would be very familiar to JoshuaâŠhe just didnât know it yet!         After the intermission Joshua came back and performed what he THOUGHT was the end of his show as the clock struck midnight and everyone wished each other a âHappy New Yearâ and with thatâŠJosh went into his goodbye speech         âAnd with that Ladies and Gents its time for us to say goodbye and good night for a little while.  It was fun to be here to celebrate the new year with you all BUT I must go away for now so I will see youâŠâ But Joshua stopped himself when he noticed that the crowd that was in the sold out Tokyo Dome stood as one and Joshua was wondering what in the world was going on! He wouldnât have long to wait to find outâŠ.         âAlright âŠEVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS you boys and girls have a surprise for meâŠwhat do you have this time my friends?â Joshua asked and held out his microphone to hear what his audience had to say Because Tonight, Tonight, TonightâŠOh No! Yes weâre gonna make it right And then Joshua figured it outâŠbut he knew he was going to need backupâŠwhere was it going to come from? As if he DIDNâT KNOW!         The building blacked out for about 30 seconds and then they started to come back up and Joshua again nearly lost it!  Kira, Eiichi, Yamato along with OTOYA FROM STARISH appeared and after a 5 second shock Joshua quickly regained his composure and performed one of his personal favorites from one of his favorite bands in âTonight, Tonight, Tonightâ and when the song ended you THOUGHT the concert was over but wellâŠnopeâŠnah!         âCurtis-Sanâ Eiji began âthat was a fun song to do BUTâŠweâve all wondered if you could educate us on something.â He finished and Joshua had to scratch his chin for a second and then asked his question         âAnd what would that be dear EijiâŠI can teach you about a lot of things but what one thing tonight would you like to know about?â Joshua asked and this is when Otoya spoke up         âCould you teach us about the âDomino Principleâ?â Otoya asked and Joshua couldnât help but smile         âYou got it OtoyaâŠokay SO!  You see these fine folks on the right side of the dome right now right Otoya? Well what would happen if something happened to them?â Joshua asked the red head whom had to think and then he got it         âOh it would affect someone else correct?â Otoya asked and Joshua nodded         âVery goodâŠyou been in Mad Scientist Tokiyaâs textbooks again?â Joshua asked jokingly and the crowd chuckled.  âIâm glad you all got a kick out of that but he is right because see if something happens to these people over here then that effects this and that and then these people up over here!â Joshua exclaimed and the crowd gave a roar of approval even at nearly 12:30-1 AM         âNow we have a simplified version of the âPrincipleâ BUT there are occasions friends when it affects the people that sit right down here!â and as Joshua pointed the crowd cheered even LOUDER!         âWhat about the people in the back Curtis-San?â Kira asked and Josh almost forgot about them         âWell the good news is it RARELY affects the people all the way in the very back.â And the crowd had minor boos.  âBut usually it affects the people over here, the people over here and the people down here. Now Iâm guessing that because of this and you wanting to see this IN ACTION and IN PERSON well you wanted to hear my favorite song called âDominoâ which is two parts:  Part 1 is âIn the Glow of the Nightâ and part 2 is âThe Last Dominoâ so letâs do this!â And with that the gang performed the song and it was interesting because for the part with the rather fast past partâŠhow would they do that? Did ya think Eiichi came unprepared?         Joshua was hoisted up into the air on Eiichiâs pillar and performed the part flawlesslyâŠwhich was amazing cos he wasnât allowed to do a run through with it but he did it and then when he came back down he went on without a hitch and completed the song flawlessly. As the song finished all the boys stood at the front of the stage and took a bow and Joshua knew one thing This might have been the end of HIS YEARâŠbut it was definitely a NEW BEGINNING FOR EVERYONE NOW!

My Favorite Album #201 - Charles Esten on Bruce Springsteen âBorn to Runâ
Singer/songwriter, actor, improv comic and the man behind the soulful stare of Nashvilleâs Deacon Claybourne, Charles Esten, joins me to open up about his love for Bruce Springsteen and âBorn to Runâ.
We talk about how the album awakened him as a musician in his teens, the country music strain in Bruceâs writing, how the album taught Charles to identify with stories he hasnât lived, why he likes to call on Deaconâs point of view when writing songs, the unexpected reaction he had to finally seeing Bruce in concert, his seminal Springsteen karaoke moment and how he would approach it if he ever had to play Bruce as an actor.

Christmas in London with kids is such a joyous affair and we are all so spoilt again with choices â so much wintery fun to be had! Here are our favourites for 2018 and our London best winter selection over the years.
Iceskating at Royal Palaces. Our favourites tested for 2018/ 2019 winter season are Hampton Court and Tower of London icerinks. A Royal palace in the background illuminated magically with festive lights, Hampton Court is superbly atmospherical and quintessence of London heritage and festive fun.

We were very lucky to be invited on a Sunday afternoon â not too crowded but just about the right ratio of iceskaters and kids. The mulled wine and hot chocolate after are the regular treat and we loved sipping them over the magic lights and ice glimmering on Hampton Court Palace, Henry VIIâs historic home.

Tower of London icerink similarly breathes history and more festive fun â itâs impossible to choose between the two, so we vote both!

Our honorary contributor Laura made it to the Press Evening at Tower of London with her husband and daughter Freya and raved about extensively on social media (article also coming shortly). One feels blessed to take in the dramatic setting of the fortress beside the Thames whilst whizzing around on ice in one of Londonâs most famous landmarks.
Snowman at the Peacock theatre
Christmas shows. We started the winter festivities season this year with the Snowman at the Peacock theatre â what a treat! My 5 years old adored it, no doubt his favourite part was the flying above mountains to the North Pole! For me the music was superb and la mise en scene simply fantastic -tears on my eyes at the end, very emotional and Christmassy. Dedicated article will be coming shortly!

And just like that, the countdown to Xmas started with the fabulous #Snowman and newly opened #SushiSamba in vibrant #CoventGarden. Pair it with Covent Garden for more festive fun, an iconic Christmas market and street entertainers.
Sushi SAmba Covent Garden
Christmas market and street entertainers
We also indulged into a scrumptious lunch at the newly opened Sushi Samba overlooking Covent Garden â spoilt rotten!
Sushi SAmba Covent Garden
Huddle at Unicorn Theatre is another Christmas treat and we are attempting a first time 4 of us at the theatre with our energetic and 2 years old troublemaker. Will report back soon, book your tickets as weekends performances are now mostly sold out.
RAH
Christmas in London with kids will not be Christmas without Royal Albert Hall and what an array of magic shows and performances have been lined up at this iconic London institution! Father Christmas at the Hall has been a favourite for years and 2018 will bring to the Hall the revamped version including a Sleigh!
We are very lucky to have in our diary My Christmas Orchestral Adventure and The Snowman and Paddington Bear and looking forward to seeing and writing about! Â My Christmas Orchestral Adventure introduces kids to classical music via a full symphony orchestra and encouraging them to sing, dance and join in as they help getting Santaâs map ahead of the Big Delivery on Christmas Eve! Â The Snowman and Paddington Bear live in concert as one could guess, Â celebrates two national institutions.
And for a wonderful arty wrap up of 2018 look no further than Nutcracker wonderfully performed by Birmingham Royal Ballet â a three generations treat that we raved about extensively in here. All these shows make also sparkling Christmas gift ideas â so much better than toys going in a cupboard ! No tidy up needed either â true festive magic points!
NHM Ice Rink
For festive arts and crafts head to the V&A to Gingerbread City Exhibition â architects, builders, engineers â big and young kids alike in the busy stunning South Kensington. This year we are imagining the future city ! Pair it with National History Museum icerink, a winter London classic, with the gorgeous backdrop of Alfred Waterhouseâs building, fairy lights, Austrian chalet set up and vibes just above the icerink and the Christmas tree in the middle of the ice.
NHM Ice Rink
What other things do YOU have planned or youâd like to hear about?
Christmas in London with kids â royally spoilt, again! Christmas in London with kids is such a joyous affair and we are all so spoilt again with choices - so much wintery fun to be had!

Dear best friend...again
My mum suggested that I get all of my points written down, in case you decide to contact me, that way I won't forget to say anything. So this is what this is, essentially, a point scorer. Here goes.
First, a few points made in the chat.
1) He said that there's no point inviting me anywhere because I always say no.
I'd like to point out some places I have been invited to with you both. Manchester for example, and did I go? You betcha. I went walking around the dodgy canal with you both when you asked (though the whole time I was just ridiculed for everything about me so why did I even bother). I went to for coffee with him, and just him, because you decided you weren't coming... That morning. And you thought the best way to let us know you weren't coming was to just not answer your phone.
The only trip I said no to was York, for a few reasons, partly because me parents really weren't down for it, partly because it's a long journey and you both know I'm severely travel sick, and partly because of how far away it is. My parents can't get there easily. I know that's not something you think about but having a chronic medical condition makes you think about those things. All the time.
You on the other hand, have cancelled pretty much every plan we make. And it's been going on for years. To be honest, I don't know why I agree. If anyone else is involved you usually pull through (apart from the aforementioned coffee incident). Sometimes I wonder if you're scares of disappointing people, but it's okay to disappoint me? Maybe. You cancelled our plans to see a concert last week. You cancel of we make plans to go into town or go to my house or go skating. Me and my friend have actually created a christmas tradition BECAUSE of you cancelling on me. You shouldn't do that to people, if you don't want to spend time with them, why make so many plans??? It makes no sense. Just don't make plans with me???? It's fine??
So just to reiterate. I said no to one plan, and there's no point inviting me anywhere because I always so no? Hmm. Sounds like someones fibbing a bit. And we also learned that the person who there's really no point in asking places is you, because you're just going to end up cancelling anyway.
Moving on.
2) He makes digs at me on purpose.
He blatantly admitted to putting me down on purpose. I don't know why, for his enjoyment I guess. It just amazes me that you're okay with it. I'm not saying you shouldn't be. I'm just saying it's funny that you are, but honestly, I'm not surprised. I mean, you did continue to be friends with someone who told me to hang myself because he was "nice" to you, and only ended up hating him because he unfriended you on facebook... but I guess now we know what your standards for friendship are.
And more on this point, what sort of twenty year old boy does that to someone, on purpose??? Like, don't you think that's a bit odd. Doesn't he have more important things to be doing than putting people down and getting involved in fights between friends?? I mean, I've got beef with him, but my issue's with you. Because you're the one that was called me friend but whatever.
3) invited to York the second time.
So we already established that I said no to York the first time and why. The thing is I didn't get much warning, sometimes careful planning is sort of necessary before travelling , you know, because of the medical condition. (Don't rally about how people with mental health conditions should be treated seriously when you ain't even gonna treat my organs seriously) But the point ain't even about York. The point is, you didn't invite me. No matter how many times you say you did (BISH I KEPT THE RECEIPTS!! AIN'T NO WHERE I GOT AN INVITE BRUH).
I mean, if you had already invited me to York for Xmas, WHY DID YOU INVITE ME TO YORK FOR XMAS AGAIN?? Because the thing is babe, I only need to be invited once, and is didn't get it until your salty asses did a whole "maybe we should ask her deal. Because if you go in a chat and say "hey, ___ has something to ask you" it means that you've been discussing it in your own chat. Otherwise you'd be like "what am I supposed to ask I don't understand we didn't discuss this?????" Or that to some extent . So I don't know what you've been discussing in your private chat , but it must have been "yo maybe we should invite her seen as we haven't already!!"
That's what I find strange. The fact that you suddenly decide to invite me. Because listen here, I don't want to go to York with your sorry asses, know why? Because ever time I spend time with the both of you, you treat me like horse shit. So I'd rather not spend a full day with you. I'd have to shoot myself by the end of it.
But all you could focus on was "well we are asking you now" . Honey, if I was planning next year's Christmas party and invited you Christmas eve, you'd be fuming too. You know I need an invite. I didn't go to ____ bday party for that very reason. She planned it in front of me and never asked me. Then the day before she goes "are you coming?" Like, he'll no bitch. Let me make this clear.
I AM NOBODIES AFTER THOUGHT. I AM NOT GOING TO BE YOUR THIRD WHEEL, AND I AM NOT GOING TO BE YOUR SECOND CHOICE.
When ___ suggested you and he go to York for Christmas, that was your opportunity to invite me, but you didn't. When ___ suggested ___ go with, that was your opportunity to invite me, but you didn't. You could have messaged me privately, but you didn't.
I don't get why, in a group chat, the message was "___ shall we go to York." It wasn't a question for the group. Considering there's just the three of us, it's an odd question to ask there, and the fact he singled you out was obvious!!! If he was inviting us both he wouldn't have asked you by name, would He?? Explain that. So when you say you invited me, you didn't. When he says he did, he didn't. (And he also said "well there's no point anyway because you always say no" which to me insinuates that he knows he didn't invite me, but that ain't me business) . I mean, 3ithout asking me if I wanted to go, at the time he said "sorry I don't think it's your vibe." Which to me, feels pretty clear in what he's saying. You ain't getting an invite. So you know what I did? Made peace with it. Made a sandwich and watched American horror story and got over the fact that you were both going on a little group activity like I fucking care. I didn't.
And nothing more would have been said.
BUT YOU JUST HAD TO GO AND DO THAT. And I know what you're thinking, "I just had to go and invite you?? Isn't that what you wanted?" And no. It wasn't about going to York. All I wanted was for my 'Best Friend' to have the decency, the courtesy, and also care enough to invite me to a plan she's made as soon as she makes it. All I want is a friend who actually WANTS to spend time with me, who doesn't cancel plans we make and who doesn't throw digs at me (betcha didn't expect that one did ya, but I don't get into that) .
I just want a friend who acts like a friend. That shouldn't be asking a lot, and maybe I suck too but it's hard trying to be friends with someone when they want nothing to do with you because they're so into their new 'college' friends that they don't have time for you.
If I think of more, I'll write it down. Good luck reading this monster of a rant. If I sound like a brat, you're probably right .
A not so angry
