the trend in soulsborne games of making almost all key woman characters mothers, whos stories are also for the most part tied specifically to motherhood is genuinely a bit questionable. its one of my main critiques to the writing in these games. however you gotta hand it to miyazaki in the sense that that man will explore the grotesque physical horror of the subject as well as the psychological and existential horrors related to being a vessel for new life and or being the originator of a lineage. like those games definitely have…… things to say…

Honestly I should start googling all the words that sound fancy, because it turns out Nepenthe isn't a Warframe word, it's just an old-timey word that basically means "painkiller".

I drew this woman early in highschool and have since completely forgotten who she was supposed to be...each year I give this painting a little upgrade and try to maybe remember who the hell is she

why is she crying? At that point she is probably mourning the loss of her identity, she WAS someone, something, but now its just a crying face, a story I never bothered to write.
