because of the circumstances surrounding susie becoming an astrologian she has a very negative association with it and gives it up come shb. urianger is the one to encourage her to practice it again, now as something she loves

Charlotte was having Dad Time, but Mom snuck in too.

This is probably 8-10 years down the road; Ariane and Urianger get married sometime after Dawntrail and their daughter Charlotte is born after that, an only child, but one who will grow up among lots of extended family. She's a bright and sensitive child who loves bugs and carbuncles and is always carrying a book around.

Sharlayan dreams.

After Endwalker (during the period between coming back on the Ragnarok and going to the Void for the first time), Urianger encourages Rynia to sign up for the astrology course at the Studium to broaden her knowledge. She agrees, but only under the proviso that he also take a course so that she doesn't get lonely and bother Krile and G'raha too much. He agrees and plumps for an interesting course in old Nym that he wanted to take as an elective but had too many already and had to leave it.

Rynia dusts off her Scholasticate uniform, and they spend the summer alternating between quiet study in Old Sharlayan and spending time with the Loporrits on the moon. It serves as a nice break from the hectic life of being a Warrior of Light, and also lets the pair find their feet as a new couple at their own pace.

Fingers tighten into a fist. It wasn't a bad decision at the time. Usually. But that's simply empty excuse. (It was bad decisions that led to Moenbryda-- and if he had been in place of Papalymo-- he cannot excuse Minfilia's sacrifice, as still there was no way out-- G'raha argued, yet-) "...It is mine only wish that mine actions are such as provide succor. "If again I am thrust into the position where I must weigh the value of lives, the only sacrifice I shall offer is mine own." Then, at least, little would be missed in a practical sense.
