sirius pressed his lips to remus’ neck, his long nails digging into his shoulders.

“you shouldn’t be here,” he whispered against remus’ warm flesh, his breath metallic.

“i shouldn’t,” remus agreed. “but i love you. that’s why i’m here. i loved you, and i always will, as you are.”

“you know nothing about me.” sirius smiled. “you’ve known me for so little time. besides, what’s the point of a relationship between the two of us? it’s not bound to last, remus. what do you even know?”

“i know i love you.” remus’ voice was tinged with sadness. “and i’ll love you for as long as i am to live, sirius.”

“i’ll lose you.” sirius’ eyes did not meet his. his eyes carried the sadness of the world, of loss of lovers and comrades, of a life of loneliness. “that is how it happens; i’ll lose you, like i have lost everyone else until now.”

remus looked at his palm, at the two punctured wounds in his palm. a sacrifice of blood, a declaration of love of some sorts.

“don’t make this harder than it already is.”

“why are you pushing me away?” remus asked, his voice hoarse and quiet.

sirius smiled, bitter and regretful, his fangs white in the dim light of the moon. “can’t you see, love? we’re not made to be. you should make peace with it. it hurts less like that.”

it hurt already. remus wasn’t sure if he wanted to feel it. he wasn’t sure if he wanted to cling to sirius, or to the image of sirius that he had in his mind, or if he wanted to leave.

he left, with a sorrowful heart.

He let out a sharp gasp when Barty’s teeth sunk into his neck, his fingers twisting into the taller male’s shirt while he worked the skin into a bruise. When he pulled back, he licked over the indent of his teeth before speaking again, and Sirius already knew that he had lost.

“I don’t want you to be some bullshit scaled down version of yourself. You’re a fucking wreck, Sirius Black, and that’s the most interesting thing about you.“

their favorite place to smoke is the shrieking shack

though, i reckon they probably plan their excursions bc can you imagine smoking in the shrieking shack and then realizing you're fucking starving but the castle is like all the way back up the hill

remus does more weed than the other three

it helps with his chronic pain and i wouldnt be surprised if he has some sort of special prescription for it

i know it's the 70s, but im not abt to figure out the specifics

remus and sirius are each others favorite pillows when they're both high

it helps james get to sleep and stay asleep

peter cant take more than like 3 puffs or else he gets weed shakes

the others will help him stay calm and massage spots on his shoulders to help him relax

i can also see them doing this for sirius though id assume sirius wants remus to do it more than the other two

remus having a pain flareup and calling it quits at like 6pm, going to hide somewhere in the castle to smoke and not think about how much his hips hurt
