i have this headcanon for wolflet that whenever ppl ask about their relationship, wolf just gives the unfiltered truth to the point it’s oversharing while scarlet just gives the simplest answer.

For example:

Some random person: “where did you guys meet?”

scarlet: oh! in a restaurant-

wolf: i was sent on a mission to kidnap her grandmother because she had some relation to princess selene and they wanted scarlet in order to get her grandmother to confess where princess selene was so i stalked her until we ran into each other in some bar as part of my mission.

random person:

Oooh okay I’m going to share my tlc gen 2 personality hcs, but very generally😂😂 I see wolflet’s kids being very much into the farm life. Along with having wolf-ish features, they’re not afraid to get dirt on their hands, hold insects, or display farmer manners. The only thing that scares them is their mother (Scarlet), especially when she scolds them in French (scary). They’re the type of folks to have had a few front teeth missing often as children (probably from tripping over roots and slipping on mud a lot. But don’t worry, they grew back eventually as adult teeth, just not super straight). These kids were not portscreen kids, instead they spent their time playing with farm animals. For Kaider’s kids, I see them being similar to their parents, in the sense that they’re sassy, but well-mannered (most of the time), and rebellious royals. They’re considered cool kids at school, but obviously not in the regina george sense because that would be a scandal of its own. It’s mostly because they’re the princesses and prince (#nepotism), but they’re also know to be very nice kids. They’re more laid back with all the gazillion rules and regulations royalty must follow, mostly because their parents are THE Cinder and Kai. The kids attend the fanciest, richest, most prestigious private school in the commonwealth. Their hobbies growing up include tons of reading in the library and lots of back and forth between extracurriculars. Because Cindr and Kai aren’t the type of parents to force them to continue doing something they don’t want to, they encourage their kids to explore whatever interests they want to pursue (one of the many perks of being wealthy. Wish I knew what that was like). Stuff like piano, violin, other instruments, sports, volleyball, dance, horseback riding, art, etc. They’re more used to tidiness and fancy stuff thanks to Kai’s lavish palace environment, but both Cinder and Kai (mostly Cinder) make efforts to get them to clean up instead of having servants do it. From picking up their toys and mess as children, to wiping down tables and countertops. Although they aren’t fully comfortable and in love with dirt and grime in general, they’ve luckily grown up to be okay with it (ie. playing outside in their gardens). But at least you know they’re very hygienic

Oooh, I love these! Very similar to my own ideas for them. I definitely agree that kaider's kids wouldn't grow up as prim and proper as ordinary royalty. Because I don't think Cinder ever feels like she's really royalty, she gives them a more normal childhood; they have to clean, work hard and deal with conflict. And we know she's uncomfortable being waited on hand and foot, so she wouldn't let her kids have a pain-free, easy life either. I also think Kai doesn't want them to grow up as spoiled brats, so he also makes sure they learn to be grateful.

if you say, out of context, who would be the most likely to hoard the limbs of their dead lover, most people would say wolf. but it’s kai. i just feel like that says a lot about his feelings for cinder.

like he’s not even mad at cinder for being cinder being a lunar cyborg he’s mad at himself for not hating her for it despite hating those groups individually. like he should find cinder repulsive and disgusting and he doesn’t and he hates himself for it. he hates himself for not being proactive and stringent in his search for her and he hates himself for still, against his duties to protect his people, wishing cinder to be safe and escape all responsibility.

like he hoards her foot because it reminds him and clarifies for him every interaction they had from the start. like he loves her even more because he understands why she hid so much from him, despite feeling betrayed by her omission of the truth. he loves her more for it. and he resents himself more for loving her for it.

like kai fully brought cinder’s foot to luna despite knowing or not she was going to live or succeed in dethroning levana/save luna. remember post-stabbing kai never left luna and stayed with her the longest out of the entire crew. what does that say about him? if he didn’t give her foot back to her? if she died? if she failed? would that limb serve as a bittersweet or painful reminder of her and what they lost and could never fulfill?

when priya asks him to think of something that makes him happy/brings him peace, he thinks, with a bittersweet pang in his heart, of cinder. not his father or his mother, cinder. he mourns their brief romance much more than he ever should. why? why would he think of her of all people?

kai is so physical in his affection for cinder in a completely romantic way. from day one he is kissing her hand as a gesture of his affection. even in the mechanic he resists the urge to rub the grease stain off her head. he almost kisses her before cinder collapses (i believe in the hc that cinder has epilepsy) in book one. every time he collapses he holds cinder in such an intimate way (like his hand on the small of her back). post kidnapping kai traces cinder’s new hand before enveloping her into their first kiss. they spend all their private time in the rampion together kissing each other, usually initiated by kai. when he sneaks the crew onto his royal ship as lost american ambassadors, the first time he sees her in the cargo bay he literally has to stop himself from walking across the room and kissing her out of relief. he will find any excuse to touch, hold, embrace, kiss, be as close to cinder as much as possible. not out of sexual desirability, as suggested in wolflet or cresswell or even jacinter, but out of love. out of care.

even in stars above he asks cinder if she thinks about them sitting together under the night sky. of holding her. he proposes to her because the best way he can express his love for her is by holding her close. what better way to do that by promising each other their companionship for the rest of their lives?

kai isn’t capable of killing directly like cinder or wolf or even winter can, but he is more than willing to sacrifice himself to protect his nation, to protect cinder. he would rather die than give cinder away. he would rather die than risk cinder’s safety.

it was extremely convenient for kai that cinder ended up being princess selene because it made it exponentially easier to justify her pardon from the earthen union and their romantic relationship in the public eye. but kai would’ve pardoned her and advocate on her behalf to be pardoned by the earthen union anyways. he literally demonstrates this in scarlet and cress when he is convinced that cinder is helping him with finding princess selene. he wouldn’t have loved her any less. not at all. it just made his PR easier.

somehow i feel like kai’s intensity and self-sacrifice is understudied and overshadowed by the physical intensity of wolflet or the emotional intimacy of jacinter. he is absolutely and completely in love with cinder and did everything in his power to protect her throughout the course of the series. he loves her no less than any other lead heroine and their respective romantic interest’s but is simply the most gentlemanly in his behavior.

prince kai (or prince charming) falls heart first for cinder. he is absolutely smitten with her from their first interaction. he wants to win her over, he wants to impress her, he wants so badly to see her smile. his interest in her is so genuinely innocent and coy and bashful and he wants nothing more than to see her more. to spend more time with her. to care for her.

jacin was purposely luxurious in using the rampion’s supplies. maybe because it had been a while before he could be mean to his peers without punishment, so he took this chance to mess with cinder. because he’s a little bitch.

iko and cress were very close. their friendship started when iko cut her hair and cress confessed to iko about her feelings for thorne. i have no idea if iko’s mental age is fourteen or forty five, but i think it’d be a fun experience for her to just be a girl and have fun. and cress totally did weird technology programming stuff to her. sounds creepy but. oh well.

kaider had unsatisfactory sex for the first time on the rampion and felt a little embarrassed about it for a while, but they eventually powered through it and kept their relationship strong.

wolf wanted to grow a beard, like a huge one, but felt that it would only bring attention to the fact that he’s TWENTY THREE YEARS OLD, so reluctantly kept it clean shaven. he and thorne were definitely beard buddies after the war though.

THORNE AND WOLF ARE BROTHERS OK. wolf is like the older male figure that thorne looked up to, and thorne is wolf’s chance at another younger brother. their contrast between abused lunar soldier and rich, sheltered american really seals the deal for a bomb dynamic. and wolf would totally redefine the idea of masculinity for thorne, really make him get rid of all that toxic shit. he also calls thorne carswell to piss them off. no this is not a carswolf post but could be.

scarlet was either bra-less or only wearing a bra on the rampion. not in a sexual way but in a farm girl way.

I just realized I haven’t done any TLC headcanons-

So I’m doing those now

Cresswell: (Yes I'm starting with them) Thorne gets it into his head that Cress needs to have the feeling of being tall, so he resolves to hoist her up onto his shoulders for a day. Cress laughs and Thorne ends up lowering Cress down after twenty minutes. Cress jokingly says that he isn't strong enough to hold her, but Thorne replies very seriously that he can't kiss Cress if she's up on his shoulders. They end up sharing a passionate one and a milkshake after that.

Jacinter: Remember that cow Winter wanted to milk back in Stars Above? Well, Jacin ends up taking her request seriously and takes her to a farm while they're on an ambassidorial trip. It turns out Jacin is terrified of chickens (don't ask) and Winter holds his hand the whole time so he doesn't freeze up and run away.

Wolflet: Not much of a hc here, just that the ship name sounds like something they'd call their kids. A llitter of baby wolflets.

Kaider: Kai knows how tense Cinder gets with the whole ruling the country thing, so with the help of Torin and Iko, he sneaks down to the palace celler every night and starts moving things in to make a workshop for CInder. He then holds an emergency press conference to say that the empress will be occasionally taking mechanic jobs so that Cinder can become more comfortable in her role as empress.

And bonus, Kinko: Iko doesn't age, at all, being an escort-droid. Well, this is no fun when Kinney starts to age, and so Cress and Cinder are commisioned to create a technology that will allow her to age alongside him (it's the future, this could happen). Kinney is touched by this gesture, even if he doesn't show it.

Scarlet and Michelle are so Marjorie </3 I love the hc that her and Wolf have twin daughters named Maha and Michelle. I hc that they have a son too though, and he's totally a mama's boy. And what are your opinions on scarlet and wolf post wedding?

Well I definitely think they'd honour Michelle and Maha somehow, though I don't usually think about them with twins as I associate that with cresswell!

I headcanon that Scarlet and Wolf have a lot of kids. Like, a lot. At least 5-7. Thorne does say in canon after all that they're going to "retire to some farm in France and have a litter of wolf cubs."

They have the room, and both of them were lonely growing up, so I can imagine them wanting a big family. They don't intend it to be that big though. Some of those kids were not planned 😂. But they're happy either way, and on a big farm there's lots for the kiddos to entertain themselves with, so it's not too much for wolflet to handle.

They would have to expand the house because its described in the book as being only two bedrooms. A sizeable extension would be necessary.

Other than that, they seem really content to be farmers for the rest of their lives. I can't see them moving or switching jobs. Some of their kids would move away and some would stay in the town, and everyone would always come back for big family reunions. One thing I'd like to see is Wolf finishing off his education. Probably nothing big like a degree, rather some general education and then maybe a diploma in something that interests him. He also gained some sharp leadership skills from his time as alpha, so I could see him take on a business role in the farm and expand their outreach and clientele. As for Scarlet, maybe she takes up competitive flying in local events as a hobby.

"I know,but you guys would burn the house without me"

She was happy right there,at her farm,so she doesnt need an expensive hotel for that

"Also there will be a lot of activities!"

"Like Dance parties!!!"

Wolf gave émilie a confused look

"Dance parties?"

"Yeah!Its a lot of fun!Also its very crowded and blah blah blah"

Wolf didnt listen the other things,his protective personality awaking

He turned to émilie

"She wont come"

"Wha-"

"She wont come"

Scarlet gave wolf a weird look

"Wolf, my Bro,you should be at my side"

"No,i need to protect scarlet and our kids,we are going together or we are not going,end of this discussion"

Émilie sighed,wolf smiled to her

"What about some tomatoes?"

Yo got any Wolflet hcs you wanna share?

as a matter of fact... yes

Okay, first of all they’re a dog family. 

Do they love all animals? Yeah, of course. But they have the usual farm cats that come around and then like a BED full of dogs. 

The dogs are 100% more in love with Wolf than Scarlet and she’s secretly jealous. 

Wolf and Scarlet both go to therapy because of what they’ve seen/had happened to them over the course of the books/their lives. 

They start doing couples and family therapy sessions bc their trauma is very similar and they can really understand each other better through it. 

Also, though she doesn’t want to admit it, Scarlet knows there’s some danger in Wolf and knows there are some parts of him he can’t control. Wolf knows that Scarlet has issues with trusting him and anyone else, and wants to help her get to the root of them as well as strengthen their relationship. 

They start using therapy terminology together because of it and it... helps honestly. 

“When you do ________, I feel _______” 

Wolf has a green thumb. 

It amazes everyone except Scarlet because she insists she saw it in him the moment she met him and that’s why she fell in love with him. 

They have date night MINIMUM once a week. 

It can be going out to dinner or just staying in and talking but they HAVE to have a date at least once a week. 

They are BIG into family meetings when they have children. 

Any time there is the slightest riff in the family, a family meeting is called within minutes. 

Wolf is the referee every time.

wolf forces thorne to help out with the farm instead of napping in the rampion all day

they all impulsively decide to completely redesign a room in the rampion one day

cress loves handling the animals

thorne is scared of the chickens so scar has to be with him in order to feed him

wolf is the ‘taste-tester’ of scars and cress delicacies

thorne is always appointed to go into the town and get supplies which he hates a lot

thorne buys the best wine so that’s why they send him

one time wolf got drunk and thorne recored wolf being super clingy with scarlet

cress takes so many pictures and has a box full of them

Wolf looked to her from the straws

it would be so cool if the tlc adaptation kept the characters’ accents!! chinese for cinder, iko, and kai, french for scarlet, american for thorne, maybe create something new for lunars? let the voice actors have fun!
