Sometimes you watch a show and you're like: wow, they had a serious show bible for this. And you just know it's treated like the holy grail it is by everyone involved, that it's laminated, that it's got annotations, footnotes, color coordination, a section for foreshadowing, callbacks, foils and parallels, that an eye blink doesn't get blunk without it matching that character's arc for the season and the show overall.
And sometimes you watch a show and you know that show had a pamphlet, one with, say, the word TEEN written on the front, WOLF on the back and just [TBD] splatted inside, probably with (abs?) scrawled on the bottom somewhere. And someone put their gum in it around the start of the fourth season.

love how both tywin and ned are genre definingly different from the predecessors from their houses. lannisters have always been the clever house, from lann the clever swindling casterly rock to tyland lannister splitting kings landing's treasury. but tywin's 'low cunning' and use of brutal crushing military force to solve his problems which he employs in the reyne-tarbeck rebellion and the scouring of the riverlands and the red wedding is different from the historical version of house lannister. it's a new brand of lannisterism, tywin's version, and it is this version of lannister legacy that he passes on to his children.
ned on the other hand very much likes to distance himself from the stark features of the wild and the wolf's blood, which other starks like brandon and rickard and cregan and even lyanna are defined by, adopting instead an ethos of duty and honor more like the tully words or his foster father jon arryn. he does this because he thinks that it is this wolf's blood that killed them in the end. just like the lannister kids contend with their father's idea of a good lannister, the starklings contend with their father's idea of a good stark.

stalker!Ghost who gets tired of these little games you keep playing with him (blocking his number, changing your locks), and decides to take matters into his own hands. after all, it says something that you went out of your way to get a restraining order against him—accompanied by a scathing, bratty little message about leaving you alone. boundaries. him being a creep. as if everything he does to protect you was an inconvenience. was for nothing. maybe his old man was right. maybe some brats need a good, hard lesson in respect.
one he feels obligated to give.
so. he comes for you. presses the muzzle of his gun against your trembling lip, and tells you to stick that pretty tongue out for him, birdy.
(since you want to be so lippy, he'll give you something to mouth off on.)

Laying on my floor with my hands folded over my stomach staring up at the ceiling listening to Little Wolf from Epic: The Musical overwhelmed with Luktavercy energy.
Percy has such little wolf energy, but the particular of using that term had me immediately go Roman and damn if Octavian doesn't have the taunting angle of this song covered, but not the fighting angle and the song, on the fight part, gives me such Luke-Percy PJO-saga enemies stage energy and now I'm just rotating some scenario where Percy faces off against Luke and Octavian, as a united front.

I still absolutely love how Wolfwalkers ended.
Love that it still ultimately focused on Robyn and Mebh and how they leave their old world behind to find a new one, just for them, their parents, and the wolf family to live in peace, far away from the townspeople. How after all that drama and near-death experiences, they just get to rest in the caravan, protected by their respective parent and live together in the forest.
No more societal expectations. No more gender roles. No need to appease a bunch of people who really only want them dead for what they are. No focus on these two literal children to change a town’s whole mindset like so many other films do. No, the message was just these two girls finding their happy ending with their loved ones somewhere else and just cutting out that toxic environment all together.
Why waste energy trying to help a bunch of people they don’t even have any real attachment to, after all? Especially with people who actively forced roles they didn’t want onto them and mistreated them for being different? It’s just such a breath of fresh air to see a film that ends with the characters finding happiness and peace in their own little slice of heaven, rather than wasting time, energy, and emotions on trying to change others.

Unpopular opinion but I actually deeply fucking love games where the protagonist is silent and relatively passive when it comes to interacting with other characters, even if that means watching them go down paths that end in their destruction. Sure its likely done as a 'blank slate'/self-insert sorta thing but quiet, stoic, nonverbal people also exist and the perceived lack of a personality =/= no characterization whatsoever

Sirius, catching James staring at Regulus: Ask him out.
James: Now?
Sirius: Yes, now.
James: Right now?
Sirius: Yes, right now. Prongs, I don't think you get it here. You're a Quidditch captain, okay? You're head boy. Everyone wants you, you know, you're like the hot girl every guy wants.
Remus: *Walks up and stops beside them*
James: I'm the hot girl?
Sirius, walking away backwards: You are the hottest girl.
Remus: What?
James: I'm the hot girl.
Remus, nodding: Yes you are.

It could be kind of funny if it takes like a week and a half or something before Roxy realises Cassie is, in fact, her new technician's daughter.
Like, he has to work and Cassie hangs out in the Pizzaplex and they always meet at the entrance when they go home so it just so happens that Roxy hasn't seen them in the same room together before. And also, didn't notice they had the same last name. Cassie's dad had mentioned her to Roxy and asked her to keep an eye out for her, and she's been convinced she just hasn't found the kid yet but nah they've been hanging out since before Roxy even met her dad lmao
Thought it could be extra funny if Roxy found her on her birthday, crying about no one showing up while her dad was off working (he was gonna join them later on) and immediately took her to have fun in every attraction ever, including the closed ones. This is just what Roxy does, so she thinks nothing of it and hey! She's hung out with Cassie before! She considers her a good friend already so this'll be fun for both of them!
The problem is now Cassie's dad can't fucking find her and according to every other animatronic, she's with Roxy but Roxy isn't answering his god damn messages so where the fuck did they go?!

Teen Wolf S5 becomes a million times more hilarious once you imagine that the Chimera Pack all still go to Beacon Hills alongside the McCall pack. They go through lessons together. I bet Theo forces the Chimeras to all sit with him at one table while the puppy pack sits sat at the polar opposite side of lunch hall. I bet they gang up against each other during Gym. I bet the classmates/teachers assume they’re just rival cliques

another instance of dissonance that became really apparent in tmatl...when thomas boleyn has the office of lord privy seal, it's a sinecure, hardly mentioned (Monseigneur, more often, i don't actually know where that comes from, tbh...he did have an overbearingly ostentatious title in his early days of parliament-- Thomas Ormond de Rochford Cheval[i]er*, try saying that ten times fast-- but that was before anne's rise, so), when cromwell has the office, it's a signal favour of high esteem and also an anchor of long hours and ceaseless, difficult work.
