↠ After 25+ hours of work, this piece is finally complete.

God of War: Ragnarök, as a whole is remarkably strong, and absolutely holds up to its incredible predecessor. For me, personally, Atreus’s character development and arc were absolutely masterful. The entire sequence of him coming clean to his father, battling Garm, and then resurrecting Fenrir were hands-down my favourite parts of the entire story. My singular grievance is with his final decision at the end, since it feels far too abrupt.

As far as the illustration itself goes, I tried to implement slightly different painting styles for the wolves, in order to better portray their personalities. I also referenced the in-game looks ONLY- meaning I referenced screencaps, nothing else.

For Atreus, I chose my personal favourite armor- The Brother’s Brand Vestment- due to the overtly Nordic aesthetic. I felt it best complimented the landscape of Helheim.

Art from what… 2020? 2021? Early 2021, probably? I honestly can’t remember. It’s back from when all I could draw was animals (not that that isn’t the case now, I just like to pretend I’m partially a Human Artist lmao).

Anyway. This took me 26 hours for some godforsaken reason, mostly because the muzzle on the second panel was confusing the hell out of me. But I finished this drawing, and it’s one of the few older drawings I still like almost two years later.
