Truly one of the absolute biggest bummers to selling beds is the two versions of “give me the cheapest bed you have.” This happens most frequently for 1. Children or 2. Old people.

Basically someone has a persons sleep health entirely in their power and decides to give them the absolute shittiest possible bed because they’re not worth more.

I merely resent cheap kids bed people. Upper middle class parents who casually assure me their cherished boy child doesn’t need anything wimpy like foam on his bed, and no, he doesn’t need back support despite doing almost all his growing in his sleep.

But I truly loathe the douchebags who come in from their fancy ass cars wearing watches that cost thousands and inform me their parent is moving into assisted living and they need a cheap bed for them to die on.

It’s not every time. Sometimes people come in on a budget because they can’t afford more but they generally want nice things for their dependents. But the callous way I’ve seen elders and children referred to and dismissed just bums me the fuck out every time.

Adam Scott: The thing is, usually when you get a character, you’re playing a role, the first thing you do is - or some people do, some people don’t - but you build out somewhat of a backstory, childhood, family, interests. Like stuff like that. But that is just not an option with Helly or any of the innies. Did that, like, absence of history or backstory or whatever you wanna call it, was that challenging? Or was that fun? How did you handle that?

Britt Lower: I listened to a lot of music. A lot of Patti Smith. I went down, like, a YouTube rabbit hole of people escaping from court, like who were on trial. Like prisoners who were just like at their court appearance and just escaped. I watched a lot of videos of like animals that were trapped. And I watched a lot- actually we exchanged some videos Ben, documentaries about amnesia. And there was a really interesting one called Tell Me Who I Am on Netflix about these twins who, one of them was in an accident and woke up with no memory of who he was. And you just sort of see the nature vs nurture play out in that documentary. No, I actually don't think you guys understand how tragic yumihisu is.

It is rare to see people talk about the parallels between historia and ymir as characters. The desire to be wanted, to be good and selfless for the people because you want to be loved and you think that to be loved is to be of use. The need of wanting someone to understand and for them to choose you (in a way, these two end up choosing the other even if ymir leaves she still voices her guilts of not being able to marry christa).

Two people held to an extreme and unattainable path of ruling people but struggling with how to deal with their acquired powers. The two put on a pedestal effectively, dehumanising them but overall consistently rebelling and reclaiming their humanity, whether that be through their shared selfishness or desire to live their life however, they please.

Ymir, the girl who was forced to take on the name simply because she looked the part and was given power by the people that she was not born with VS Historia, the girl also posed with the choice of becoming queen and reclaiming the power that she was born with and was destined to have.

Ymir, being the catalyst to drive Historia to be 'selfish' while Historia is the catalyst to drive Ymir to be 'selfless'.

Experiencing your lover's woes after you believe they left you behind and chose their path. Being haunted by your lover through your own destiny, not even knowing that they went through the same thing and only having a letter to cherish them by.
