Exhale Pt. 1 (1/30)

Remember when I told you that you broke my vagina? I told you my coochie was more loyal to you than Chrisean to Blueface. You didn't get the joke. Or me. Or I you.

When I said you broke my vagina, I didn't know my vagina was so connected to my heart, my soul, my mind, my pen. Turns out, I am still a human. I am capable of loving with my entire self and whatever limitations I thought I had died when they laid Saviour on my chest.

I birthed two lives that night, One of them mine. I was anew. I have to learn myself again.

And then came you. You were not supposed to happen. I was never supposed to fall in love. But I did. And we crashed. And I broke. You broke me.

I'm still a little fractured honestly. My brain to hands combo ain't worked right since The first time you ran in and out of my life but I'm getting there. And this is my first step.

May Prompt Day 1

Write a poem capturing the vibrant colors and fragrant scents of flowers blooming in May.

What if I just pitched my books purely stream of consciousness? Let’s try that. NGL I’m actually pretty nervous about doing this because my track record for saying things off the cuff tends to land me with sentences like “barbecue armadillo fleeing horse bobcat ducksmoke.”

Never let fear stop you from trying though right?

Right. So the whole series is heavily inspired by Final Fantasy so bear that in mind.

AWKWARD STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS DRIFTING LANDS PITCHES.

BOOK 1, SKYFARER:

1. Apprentice Sorceress causes massive military headache for Anime Bishounen supervillain. Sky-island almost exploded by giant sound-canon. Truth-telling diamond is everybody’s problem.

Hmm.

2. POC Gandalf leads skyship crew against a private military contractors that are kinda like if the Sith were organized like Blackwater. There’s a part where a magic knight gets kicked out of a door and falls something like forteen thousand feet. This is the only time I used specific numbers in the entire series. Never again.

I need to learn to do this in less than a paragraph.

3. Bisexual WoC pilot takes skyship through aerial dogfight around death mountain. Fixes engine by punching it. Carries hatchet everywhere.

Book 2: DRAGON ROAD:

Okay let’s try to do this simply because it’s a much longer book.

1. Murder mystery/political thriller on a brick-shaped city-ship. Sword fighting as therapy. Warrior poets. Squittens.

Mm. Could use a bit more.

2. Apprentice sorceress tangles with ancient necromancer in the midst of a succession crisis. Undeath-as-disease. Ghost-Engines. Also romance???

Simpler, Brassey. SIMPLER.

Okay. Here goes, fuck it.
