I love your Heket, this is a Heket appreciation ask, ✨she is perfect✨

honestly my favorite bishop depends on what day it is, but if I couldn't say shamura is my overall big fave, 10000% it would be heket. I feel like she'd overwork herself taking care of the other siblings, who've come to just expect her to do the brunt of the work and stopped saying "thank you" forever ago. Meanwhile she has the least amount of time for her own cult, and has to catch up a LOT to make sure followers don't dissent left and right. So she kinda forgets someone could take a moment to appreciate her without expecting something in return.

Also I have NO idea how leshy's packages would end up in anura instead of darkwood but I feel like he'd manage to make it happen...

I made them better, my old designs suck ASS

But yeah I remade Bathin and Agares with the same idea in mind, but a lil more polished.

The witnesses in my AU would have their own clothing just like the bishops, but unlike the bishops where the cults symbol is somewhere on or underneath a layer, its just never seen. And of course they still take after the bishop they were for, as well as being their aids. For this Agares main job was to be a best friend or a jester to Leshy, like Spinel was to Pink Diamond in steven universe. Meanwhile Bathin was someone Heket would be able to talk to, no matter how harsh she was with her words or not.

Me when I did what I do best and made a character line up of a bunch of CotL characters (specifically all the bosses in their follower forms).

I also made a bunch of self indulgent redesigns while I was at it. Idk how many of these will stick, I came up with most of these on the spot as I hadn’t drawn a lot of these guys before now. They might change a bit as I draw them more, who knows.

Bathin follows her gaze. “The kitchen crew are… a tightly knit bunch. They tend to get irritated by newcomers.”

“Is…that…why?” Heket asks as they sit down, gesturing toward Bathin. Her Witness was not known for her skills as a handywoman, but rather her exemplary cooking ability. If anything, she should be the one leading those twits. Perhaps then they could make a decent meal. “You…can do…better.”

She looks down at her meal, not eating, just moving around beets and cauliflower. “The Lamb offered. I refused to cook for anyone who wasn’t you.”

Suddenly the Lamb’s comments and pointed looks at Bathin make sense. They’ve been wanting her to take the position for some time; that could be an opportunity. “Could…accept. Would be…helpful.” She lets the words hang in the air. Leshy is also working in the kitchens, but the kitchen crew seems to be purposefully keeping him away from any actual cooking.

Sorry this took a bit guys! It's a bit hard to illustrate these pages and keep Bow (Lamb) on model, especially if you look at them closely agh, so I apologize for my inconsistency!!

My designs for Bow will constantly change depending on how I wanna characterize her and that will reflect on how I'll be drawing her, also note that I'm making this comic in the midst of college so there's gonna be long gaps in between. Accounting for art block too, it's hard but I really love this AU and wanna make more art for it cause I have a bunch of ideas!!

I’d figure I do a mix of an anniversary post and a post to commemorate the release of Unholy Alliance!

So have all these artworks and also talks of the sheep and goat’s cults!

The Red Crown Cult (later named Sanctuary of the Souls)

Formerly a cult made in the name of The One Who Waits, but it gradually set itself apart from its original purpose. The day that the one below betrayed his vessel sealed the deal, and the cult treated Lambert as their leader ever since his defeat. Lambert leads it with a watchful and gentle eye. The former bishops have taken the roles of Lambert’s priests, aiding in helping the cult. Agares, Astaroth, and Bathin have been appointed as rangers of the cult, overseeing the other realms and protecting them from harm. Allocer had chosen to rest on his own, a decision respected, though strangely, he hasn’t been seen since….

The cult has a firm belief in living life to the fullest, therefore murder and sacrifice are prohibited. Any who even attempt to participate in such will be promptly kicked out. Menticide and fights to death are also prohibited. Alcohol can be served from the bar, though it is regulated to prevent brutal fights. Cultists are encouraged to train using weapons and magic to learn to defend themselves, and fighting areas are supervised by those skilled in weaponry.

They believe that sacrificing a life isn’t worth it, but perhaps it isn’t so simple…

Stalkers of the Lotus

During the Crimson Eclipse (events of FDS), the goat set out after breaking free from captivity. He eventually found a few stray Old Faith cultists seeking shelter. Kuole agreed to help them in exchange for their loyalty, and the deal was set. Kuole eventually found a perfect spot for his cult, a clearing in the forest hidden by various untainted trees and bushes. As the lands were returning back to normal, Kuole secretly ventured and gained supplies, along with the occasional new follower or two. The cult grows slowly but steadily.

They heavily believe in sacrifice, however, they do not shed more blood than they need to. Since Kuole’s cult is small, more than one would just be a waste of blood. For the time being, Kuole only has one sacrifice per month. Nothing more, nothing less. The only exception to this rule is dealing with dissenters, as depending on how severe they dissent, they will promptly be sacrificed, and their remains will be repurposed in rituals.

They believe that sacrifices must be made, but perhaps it doesn’t always have to be that way…

(And as a bonus to top it off, have a drawing based on the Pilgrim comic!)

I'm bored, so let's make a theory about CotL

Y'all I guess no one questioned this before but uhh

WHY ARE ALL THE WITNESSES PURPLE???

They could've been ANY color. Why purple?

Purple = Shamura

Are they called witnesses because they've been there as firsts? The oldest followers? We don't know how old is Shamura or how many years older they are compared to their siblings. So, those witnesses probably belonged to Shamura and the FIRST cult? Their designs *slightly* resembles the bishops they are supposed to belong. I mean, have you seen Witness Bathin? What part of that purple, mustache haired blob on a stick looks like a frog to you?

And there's something else I also noticed about Witness Allocer. They are the only witness with a different look pattern.

The other witnesses (Agares, Bathin, Astaroth) have this soft curved lineart, blue dripping mark on their body, black ichor/blood on their body dripping down, a wood on their body (as horns for Agares and Astaroth, shish kebab style for Bathin)

While Allocer also have black ichor/blood, it's coming from their mouth. Not directly on their body. Their lineart is more sharper, not a blue drip mark but a blue symbol on their head, they are are the only witness with full limbs during battle (Bathin doesn't count they only have legs) and they have green eggs.

I don't know if I should add eye placement. Since Astaroth has seven eyes but still shares the three eye placement with Agares and Bathin while Allocer doesn't.

I'd like the assume that Allocer was the first follower of the old faith. The first one to believe in gods. The first disciple of Shamura. Maybe even first cult leader. Shamura's vessel on earth for the very cult made for them...

I haven’t seen people’s takes on the witnesses as much as I wish to, therefore Im winging it with these designs. I also felt like basing their personalities off of the bishops they’re for, so just like leshy, Agares is unhinged/chaotic af. Giving off fresh 18-19 yr old vibes 😭

I hope y’all don’t mind my takes on these three, still haven’t figured out Astaroth yet. I’ve seen other designs of them though and I am NOT afriad to take inspiration if it comes to it 😔
