Hello! I’m not sure whether you are WCIF-friendly, but in your screenshots of 21 Feb, you seem to have used a recolour of the Maxis Seasons dresser in the bedroom, and I wondered whether you would mind telling me where I can find it please? Thank you!

hi @curiousb !! that recolor is from @withlovefromsimtown 's big recolor set of the seasons furniture. It is like my favorite recolor set ever!!

When Lifa (@withlovefromsimtown) released all those fabulous hairs 2 years ago (1), most of them immediately went into my "to do" folder to eventually add them to my own game. Including this one. Two years later, I have finally gotten around to slightly tweaking the shading so it blends in with the other hairs I've recolored. ;;;;>_<

This recolor uses Lifa's textures and comes in Remi’s naturals, my usual variety of unnaturals (2), and selection of naturals (3), and is sorted with the other medium-length hairs I’ve recolored.

Edited mesh included. This will work with the original colors, however, I have replaced the default white from Ginger's original car with the Fiat Red one you see in the first pic. These recolors will semi-work with the original mesh, there will be a slightly misplaced shadow under the front Fiat logo if you're using Ginger's mesh. Mesh changes: Moved & resized the license plates to closer resemble the position that license plates are usually located on these type of cars. Moved the Fiat logo to where it would actually go. Slightly reshaped the front. Yanked the front bumper back into the car so it's not floating. Fixed direction on interior faces under the backseat. Texture changes: Added slight shading & better seats. Changed the interior of the door to wood paneling. Added the trunk latch & the 3 extra vent slots that the 74 has. The license plate is in Simlish. Why is this a 1974?: It's actually pretty hard to tell what year the 126p is in this low-poly of a model, since there are very few changes from year-to-year cosmetically (it looked about the same for its entire run), but what really sold me on 1974 was the whitewall tires. Color Theory: Look, Fiat has some good colors. Just behold them. I needed all of them.

You Get: 35 car colors. The interior is its own recolor channel but shares textures with the body of the car, mix&match however you want.

TS2 Country/Western Music Posters

Hey, all! Remember how I've been bitching and moaning for weeks about there not being any good country/western music posters in Sims 2? Well, be the change you want to see in the world, and all that- here's 19 country-music-themed posters (and one rock poster)!

Aoife's Maxis Match Face Templates UPDATED.

Now less gendered, more consistent between ages, and with baby faces! More info and a bunch of pictures below.

Finally, after months, I have finished these. A long time ago now, I'd made my original templates but didn't really pay any mind to how gendered faces really are, and how inconsistent they are between each age. I love the Maxis faces, I just wanted them to look a little less lumpy, and to replace ones that I felt were redundant. Basically, I hated that with any given template, I couldn't really tell what a sim was going to look like as an adult because every face looked different at each stage!

So today I bring to you my less gendered Maxis Match templates, where I have chosen which face I felt was more iconic and matched the other gender with it, and then made every age look more like that template (including baby faces).

Martin Ruben can be a good example:

Yeah, sure, the eyes are the same, but that's pretty much where the likeness ends. A lot of the templates will do this, and some of the female faces suffered for it (jaws were outlawed on females in 2004, didn't you know?)

They aren't perfect but they're miles better than the originals! I also think they bring a lot more variety to faces, because I did notice that a lot of the templates would use face parts from entirely different templates! Face 2's eyes and face 1's nose are really popular, as well as yeeting jaws and chins out the window.

If you noticed in some of the pictures, the ears clipped through a few hairs, and that's because I also took the liberty of adding custom ear shapes to almost every face. No, it didn't occur to me to change the hairstyle I picked for photos until I was already on face 18 and didn't want to start over.

These aren't perfect, and maybe someday I'll go over them again to change more minute details, but for now, I'm very happy with how they turned out! Please let me know if there are any issues, I triple checked everything but I probably missed something somewhere.

Nenps Fish Scales as Mermaid Overlays

I've done my own take of mermaid overlays before, but! Then @angelapleasant shared the textures for some of @weepingsimmer's recolors of Nenps fish scales, and these are so so beautiful.

Angelapleasant mentioned that the textures had some seams on TS2 body though, so I went and fixed them. They're still far from being pixel perfect, but I find them acceptable now.

I made all frames share the same textures and paired purple scales with blonde hair, turquoise with brown, red with red, and blue with black. I also made a new grey-ish scale recolor for grey hair.

The file comes in two versions: with or without a sharp teeth mask that I've gotten from these overlays by @withlovefromsimtown.

The files are compressed. As mermaid overlays always, these are meant to replace the mermaid scale overlay by @midgethetree and be used together with their mermaid mod.

⚠️ If you already downloaded angelapleasant's version or don't like my choice of color combinations, their version of the overlays is now updated with my edits of the textures but with the color combinations they originally used. Their upload also includes matching face scales as layerable blushes.

Well, I decided that Maxis Match is actually the way to go so now I need to seriously reconsider my Downloads folder. I came to the realization that I don't hate the Maxis hairs, I just wish they were a little more cohesive in colour and available for more ages. So, here I am trying to fix that!

I have made one file with texture replacements for all of the Mansion & Garden hairs, and I have made some files with various fixes for the hairs. It'll make sense later, I promise! For now, I'll explain what the different hair files do.

Freckled Remix Skinblend!

Oh boy. I feel like if you like this skin, there's pretty much every shade you could want at this point. This will be my last upload related to the Remix Skinblend, originally created by @annachibisims and based on @whysim's Miscellaneous Skin 31. Unless of course I messed something up and have to fix it lol

This set contains 14 shades: the base tone, 12 natural tones by Trapping, and Trapping's Galaxy Quest. Bodyshop swatch:

The freckles I applied on top of the original skin were Deedee's Oliver freckles for the body (which I extracted from an overlay box by themeasureofasim) and Jessi's Freckles 27 for the face. I like that the face freckles are concentrated around the nose.

Some more skin details: babies and toddlers don't have any freckles, elders have light wrinkles, the teen/child faces are slightly different from the adult faces to look more youthful, and teens/adults have fitness states.

I made a custom and geneticized+townified set. The green alien shade is custom in both. I included a file showing the genetic scale in the gen+town download, but It's literally the exact same as my original recolors of this skin.

They are actually maxis, not sure which EP, but you should find them in the Stone selection, and they are a set of three different but matching floor tiles. :)

(yes, bad previews are my specialty) omg breaking news everybody. i think i finally made a skin & eye set i'm full in love with (and will probably change my mind in a couple weeks but wtv). realistic but not shiny, maxis match yet can fit an alpha game too! and eyes that have a soul! The skin: It's just skin! comes in the 4 maxis defaults + 2 extra swatches, this is basically @withlovefromsimtown birthday suit, with ephermera's waterline, lips and eyelids from @lilith-sims's honey honey skinblend & @sixfootsims's teeth. i also tried my best to deal with the pixelation on some of the darker tones! for people wanting supernaturals, i use: lifa's og for genie, the honey honey zombie and @alanna-goth's wisteria galaxy quest recolor. (bless her, she helped me a lot with this project). Download the Skin.

the eyes: basically just @microscotch's lobster eyes but with most of the highlights painted out by me. 5 natural tones, 1 alien default & 1 vampire default. named bailando bc of the song i was listening to while making these.
