Compatible with all custom content maxis match hair or any hair that doesn't require transparencies. However, I noticed some CC creators occasionally use the hat region and other regions for their hair CC's UV map. This hair overlay will not affect textures placed in those regions

General tips on how to use this overlay

Use the gray/white hair color as the base, then use this hair overlay to get the color you want.

If you want a more saturated color, use a non-white hair color as the base, then use this hair overlay.

I highly recommend using the makeup sliders to properly adjust the colors, brightness, opacity, and hue!

UPDATE 27 NOV 2023

The overlay is now can also be found in Skin Details, Body Scars, and Tattoos category! The ones in those categories, however, are not slider compatible. They will also be applied to all outfits category and probably work as genetics too.

I NEED the monster high community to learn the difference between "showing culture" and being orientalist/racist. The criticism of g3 Jinafire in comparison to g1 is driving me insane. I'm so sick of everyone saying they "erased her culture" because she isn't talking in a forced accent, wearing a sexualized Qipao, and having gold skin. I'm sorry, but your incorrect assumptions of a culture are not better representation. Just because YOU as a white person don't think g3 jinafire is "Chinese" enough, doesn't mean her culture was "erased." Maybe you just need to reconcile with the fact that you don't actually know this culture?

Idk about yall, but I personally trust Annalise Lao to design a doll based on Chinese culture more than a white woman who went on a brief vacation in China.

It's the same song and dance every g3 doll. "They erased her culture!!!" and it's a doll designed by a person actually from that culture instead of a random white designer full of stereotypes and inaccuracy.

Welcome to 2025 everyone! Happy New Year! Like with previous years, this post is sort of a finishing-up-of-old-projects sort of post!

First of all, the hairs: KewaiDou 3k was one of the first hairs I recolored(1) based off of an @berrynoobooshair recolor as a base. Much later, I realized that I could also do a recolor of the hair for females, and decided that my original recolors didn't quite match the slightly darker recolors of all my other hairs. So. This is a redo for my male recolors as well as a new female recolor.

While you can have both the old and the new male recolors in your game, ONLY the folder is named differently, so you'll have to rename either the old or new files so they don't over-write each other.

(I still like my recolors for the male version of Raon 36(2), so this is just an upload of recolors for the female version.)

Secondly, we have finally come to the end of recoloring all of Sundried's Dragon Age 3 Vallaslin costume makeup(6)! I did a few of my own touch-ups to this one to make it look a bit more cohesive (hopefully), and then flipped it so you can have it over the right eye OR over the left eye OR over both! Like with the others, I also raised the opacity a LOT so you can see colors better. This layers above blush and below everything else. It comes in all 56 “clothing colors” (7), so if you want them all I would HIGHLY recommend downloading the “fewer files” version(5). Both versions come with swatches and preview pictures.

This is my response to this post by @goatskickin - a second version. That's the best way to desaturate hair texture or other stuff with alpha transparency ( thanks @paluding).

Desaturate or Hue/Saturation often makes textures crunchy.

You'll get best results if you create plain black layer and set blend mode to Color. Adjust Opacity as needed. In case of alpha stuff you also need to create Clipping mask.

When doing color actions on hair textures (or anything else) - if Hue/Saturation adjustment layer step does -83 Saturation (for example), instead you can do what I described above and set black layer Opacity to 83%.

Also, use SimPE to build textures as DXT5, do not rely on Bodyshop 'cuz it will always f*ck it up.
