There’s something in the ilt of his voice, errant and erratic, up and down octaves at irrational intervals, paired inscrutably with his relentless logic, that makes Moriarty’s words alone terrifying.  One gets a potent understanding of how he has remained covert, and unobstructed in his machinations, while controlling most of the major criminal syndicates of Europe. How can you orient yourself around a person who is a bomb that may be a dud, or may at any moment detonate? He may either continue serenely unaffected, or rid you of a limb.

Or your life: if fate smiles.

Gideon is a lot more fit than one might expect. Watching Gideon walk down the street, one might assume he’s just this great, big, lumbering sort of man. He almost always appears slightly hunched over, as if trying to minimize the amount of space he takes up, and is prone to dragging his feet, sometimes causing him to trip a bit over his own feet. However, mostly as a means to clear his head, Gideon does have a workout regime he tries to keep to and also does some yoga and meditation. He’s been doing it for years as a method to curb his anxiety and while he did take a long break after the life-threatening diagnosis that ended with him working late for months until he created Gyles, he did start it up after Gyles introduction into his life. It helps him relax and stretch out his muscles when he wakes up with them bruised from his counterpart's nightly activities. He’s incredibly limber and strong despite looking rather fatigued during the daylight hours.

Gyles, in a way, does work himself out as well but it’s purely for show. He likes testing this new body of his and the limitations of Gideon’s concoction— as a nearly seven-foot-tall, genetically modified man, he’s become aware that he can topple over cars and one swift kick can knock down a lamppost. That being said, once he realizes the destruction he can create, he does it often.

not one single scene but there’s a whole arc in the living where they encounter the old cult r and his buddy had started before r died, and r encounters his old friend, and there’s nothing really inherently wrong with the arc, but it feels very...out of place. and i get isaac put it in the book for closure purposes, and there’s some kickass quotes that come from that arc ( “god didn’t take me anywhere. i crawled my way out of hell.” ) but i don’t think the arc itself needs to be there.

Didi goes through clothes like crazy; first of all, the sole reason she goes shopping for anything is 50% to spend Jasper’s money and 50% retail therapy. She loves buying new clothes and showing herself off— however, due to Didi’s lifestyle of constant travelling and getting into trouble, a lot of the new purchases end up ripped, dirtied, destroyed, lost, or forgotten back at the last hotel she stayed at. Due to that, her wardrobe changes often and rarely wears the same thing twice...seeing as she’ll probably lose it by the end of the week.

This gets significantly better after she gets married, seeing as she has a stable place to live and store her things but the urge to shop doesn’t seem dwindle— in fact, she changed the object of her desire from clothing and accessories to cookware, home décor, and of course, things for her children.

Kidd relaxes a bit, not exactly eager to be shot; even for the sake of an experiment. He’s got half a Twizzler stuck between his lips and he begins to work at it again, silently noting that it’s little hard to chew. 

“I’m a teenager, actually.” There’s a few more thoughtful chews before a loud swallow. “Or so I’ve been told.” Another brief moment of silence before he slaps at his own shoulder. “It’s okay to shoot me. I just want to see something.” He’s noted a few times before that things that happen to him appear to be painful but...weren’t. He’s hit and it feels nothing above a slight pressure. He’s cut and he barely notices. He’d really just like to get some answers.
