"You look like Father," are the first words that leave his mouth as he stands face-to-face with his younger brother. Their meetings are rare, often separated by years of silence. But lately, with both holding the weighty titles of generals, their paths cross more often—though Jae-sung always makes sure those encounters are as fleeting as possible. There’s a bitterness that clings to every word they exchange, a familiar resentment that hangs between them like smoke. And with Daeho, the middle brother, it cuts even deeper. Perhaps it was the cold gleam in his eyes, sharp and unyielding, that made the tension between them almost unbearable.

"If Father had been as much of an insufferably entitled brat as you, maybe you would have been his perfect reflection. Almost. Though I suppose that truly is what you would want." His tone is devoid of humor, each syllable sharp and mechanical, as if rehearsed a thousand times in his mind. There’s no warmth, no room for brotherly jest. the male had already went out on the balcony and locked eyes with the general, so he obviously had to interact with him. it wasn't as though eldar went out of his way to avoid the other illyrian, but there was a certain level of tension between the two of them, for which he himself was probably to blame for. though it came as natural as breathing, whenever eldar came into contact with him, there was a mask he slid on, one that hid the jealousy stirring up in him. there was a small part somewhere in him that knew he could be and do more if he had not sworn off duty for pleasure. daeho was the walking reminder of that and eldar hated that. " daeho, always a pleasure to see you, " eldar greeted lies spilling from the corners of his lips with that polite smile as he joined him. " hope i'm not intruding you deep in thought, but even if i am– oh well, the luxury of my presence makes it worth it. " there was a shrug of his shoulders as he placed palms against the railing and stretched out his wings which was the reason he had originally seeked this place out.

“   so   what   ?   ”   the   illyrian   started   as   he   tucked   his   wings   in   closer   to   his   body.   “   am   i   to   just   start   seeing   an   influx   of   little   animals   running   around   now   and   have   to   assume   some   of   them   are   members   of   your   court   ?   ”   he   questioned,   head   tilted   to   the   side   a   bit.

the nightclub is filled to the brim - the ground vibrating from the pulsating beats, different colored lights shifting all over the dancefloor as the weekend crowd begins to pile in and the dj works on spinning the hottest tracks. everyone seems to be mingling with one another, laughing and shouting over the music, swaying in small groups to the music. but danbi looks a little out of place among them - dressed in clothes she's not necessarily comfortable with, wearing shoes a little too high and clunky for her liking, and holding two drinks in her hands that are not her own.

she blinks, feeling a little disoriented with how she's gotten herself into this situation. after all, when the other girls working the customer service desk at fresh fields kept raving about how fun it would be for them to spend time together outside of work . . . well, she didn't think that would be at a club. and she didn't think that they would have handed their drinks off to her the second a group approached them to dance, calling over their shoulders for her to watch them. but danbi didn't want to be a wet blanket, and she didn't want to deter the others from having fun, so she simply nodded and flashed them a smile as they disappeared into the crowd.

"oh, i'm sorry," she says instinctively when someone bumps into her on their way to the dance floor, them looking at her a little oddly as she just stands there at the entrance of it. she takes a step back, nearly knocking into someone else in the process. "oh, sorry!" she's quick to apologize again, turning and deciding it's probably best for her to get out of the way. her orbs scan the club for a safe space to stand before settling on the bar up ahead, the corner of it unoccupied and with little traffic.

"phew," she lets out a soft sigh once she reaches her destination, placing the two drinks up on the bar top. she fishes around in her clutch for her cell phone, quickly checking the time. 9:56pm. she had a feeling it was going to be a bit of a long night.

Crown Prince GoWon basically telling JinMu that serving and protecting vulnerable people/citizens is act an of love/compassion and that love/compassion is not a weakness but a strength, a far greater power and that he is siding with that power.

He proves worthy of the Crown. He has not only shown to be compassionate towards his citizens (his interactions with Turtle Shaman and concern towards ladies in Royal Palace is a testament) but also proved that he can strategically navigate the power politics (how he deescalates a tense situation with an ill Seo Yul is a testament). Plus, he is shown to make mistakes (killing Jang Uk & MuDeok/Naksu whom he saw as a threat to his power and as betrayers) but wishes to be better a person willing to acknowledge flaws and make amends. It’s about time Daeho had a sensible, capable King— as the previous King fucked it all up, the current King is a useless wuss, and the Queen is abhorrent.

The future King & the King’s Star band together to save Daeho. Wohoo !!!!!
