The words echoed in Tara’s subconscious, an attempt to pull her from a deep slumber. Her phone was lit up, 3:33 AM shining on the screen. Witching hour. In her bed, Tara was sat up right, mouth moving, words falling from her lips, though she was still totally unconscious.

Slowly, her eyes fluttered open, glowing a soft purple color that seemed to illuminate the darker space. She was still her, but there was something new inside of her, something propelling her forward.

“sdrac torat.” Again, a voice that was hers but foreign to her filled the room as she sat on the middle of her floor. “tlas.” Both her Tarot Cards and salt seemed to appear from nowhere. She doesn’t question it, in the moment is all makes sense. On the floor, she draws a protection circle, followed by a star on the inside. “Seldnac.” with that command, mini tea lights floated from her closet, “thgil.” The candles situated themselves into the proper spots on the protection circle before lighting themselves.

An hour later her room was filled with various items, tea lights the only source of light in the room. Her eyes were still glowing, a map spread out on her floor, a locator spell of sorts being done. She was missing something, and whatever was inside her was guiding her towards it. “Em wohs.” Tara was leaning over the map, focusing on the feeling bubbling inside of her. Blood dripped onto the map, an answer to a question she still didn’t understand. Bringing her hand up to her nose, she didn’t flinch, just took the location and left.

Hours later, Tara could be spotted on the quad. The sun had finally come out, but she hadn’t even noticed how much time had passed. Her arms were full of books, cards, various vials and ingredients, heading back to Alpha. She was still in her PJ’s, still in a trance, and eyes still glowing purple.

The way he explores her causes a shiver to run down her spine, his tongue sliding along the little jewels on her teeth. Her back finds the tree, causing a moan to escape from her still parted lips, her body molding to his, a hand trailing up his arm. It's maybe the most needy she's ever been for him, and yet she still lets him set the pace.

Tara’s trying so hard not to break character, keeping a straight face at Ryan’s impression of her. “Whaddya mean? What’s wrong with us??” She frowns, arms crossing over her chest as she looks at Dean Lee. “Are you sure you’re okay?? Maybe the fog got to you too” Her brows scrunch together, as she looks at Dean Lee as if she might be an Alien, trying so hard not to laugh.

When October came around, Ryan felt more prepared for what was to happen to for the next month. Thanks to last years endeavors, when he woke up before Matt, he tested his powers by gently touching his shoulder, knowing he wouldn’t mind. When he gently spoke saying he was going out, hearing his partner’s voice instead of his, he smiled and returned it back to him before he left. Going out to the quad, with a smile on his face, he wondered around to see what trouble he could get into.

Caught in a witch's spell got a tale to tell || Tara & Ted

Another day, another spell. But this one had a sense of urgency, the full moon imminent the following night. As she tried to decipher the text in the grimoire, she groaned stuck on the same line. After a few hours of getting nowhere, Tara finally admits defeat and turns to a locator spell. It wasn't failure per say, but it sure felt like it.

Half an hour later she's guided towards Theta house, a purplish glittering glow leading her there this time. "Huh." she eyes the front door curiously, not having a keycard to get in. She could probably just call Jaiden to let her in... but... "nepO!" She tries a more fun method, and is met with success.

Up the stairs, down the hall, she finally stops in front of a random door. It's not one she's been to before, and for a moment she's nervous to knock. Her eyes burn purple, and suddenly it feels as if someone else is in control of her body. The next thing she knows she's knocking on the door without a second thought.

Tara giggles at how silly it all is, her hand stretching out to gently touch her now. "Can you... feel that still?" Her fingers move against where her tattoos are, trying to wrap her head around it all. "How does it all work? Earlier it sounded like I was... talking to someone else?"

Booting... Leaving sleep mode...

Purple LEDs flicker open to see a bedroom that is familiar... Just with a weird overlay on top. A screen, almost, statuses of various things around the room displayed right behind these eyes... For Jaiden to see.

She blinks heavily, feeling like it was the haze of sleep, maybe the remnants of a dream perhaps! She even brings her hands up to rub her eyes and--

CLUNK

Metal hits glass, and Jaiden's "eyes" flicker open again to take in the sight of... Mechanical hands?! What??! She springs out of bed, her metal stilts clanking against the floor as she rushes to her bathroom, taking a gaze at herself in the mirror.

Oh. Oh my god. Her eyes are literal purple LED lights on a black background. They emote freely with her emotions. Her hair is fluid, but its not...Hair. Her whole body is metal-- The proportions are insane! What's going on?!--

Smoke starts fizzling slowly out of Jaiden as she starts to hyperventilate, even without lungs. Suddenly, a warning flashes across her eyes. An audible voice in her head.

You are overheating.

Jaiden scrambles out of her bathroom and out of her room, down the stairs of Theta and out the front doors in a frenzy. The cool fall air and the mist of the fog hits her metal frame, and the sudden change in temperature--

kkkHHR--whrrrrrrr....

Jaiden short circuits, a mix of shock of the sudden temperature change in her servos plus the overload of emotional information causes her system to go into emergency shutdown. She falls to her knees, sitting back on her stilts, and her head droops down. A loading symbol lights up on the screen on her face, just circling around itself.

Tara/Darcy: These two begin as a secret relationship, cracking jokes with each other about the subject (for example, one saying it's "technically true" that she doesn't have a boyfriend). When they do go public, Darcy is able to be Tara's proverbial rock and help her deal with the pressures of being newly out. Tara is later able to help Darcy, in return, deal with her difficult home life. Tara also accidentally slips out her first "I love you" to Darcy, which I thought was adorable. These two are just generally adorable, hopelessly in love, and perfect for each other.
